Do yourself a favor and do not shop at Huffman Koos. I purchased a bedroom set less than a year ago and have had nothing but problems. My initial experience was that the store messed up my delivery. I told the store that my building had delivery restrictions and they specifically told me up to the day before that the delivery would be made in the morning. To my unpleasant surprise, I got an automated call at 6:00 a.m. informing me that it had been changed to the afternoon. Despite my frantic calls, the driver showed up too late and my superintendent would not allow him in. This happened after I took the day off and made arrangements for people to help me get rid of my old bed, which means I not only lost a day of work for nothing, but I also had to sleep on the floor from Friday night until Tuesday. The worst part was that no one was the least bit apologetic. In fact, the store manager attempted to blame it on me.
Fast forward, my brand new mattress is now sinking significantly in the middle, so much that it's extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. I have been calling customer service about this for over two months. Naturally no one in the store is willing to help me and it's nearly impossible to get someone on the phone in customer service. By some miracle, I got an employee about a month ago and she set me up with an inspector, who came and took pictures, then submitted a report the same day.
For the last 20 days, I have continued calling customer service to try and resolve this once and for all. I have left no less than 4 voice mails for a supposed manager without one returned phone call. I have tried leaving messages for random people in the directory as well. Yesterday, I finally got someone and was told that the inspector mistakenly wrote in his report that it was a king size bed. I informed her that it is not in fact a king and sent her my receipt showing that it's a queen. I was promised a callback, but of course it never came. I was able to reach the same person today and was told that the inspector will have to come back and take more pictures because of his mistake.
Every day that this drags on means another night that I have to sleep uncomfortably. The store's customer service is absolutely disgraceful and I would never spend another dollar on their merchandise. I wish I had read some online reviews before going there because it's very clear that I am not alone. If I could go back in time, I would go to a store that actually stands behind its products and cares just a little bit about its customers. Since I can't do that, I'm going to file complaints with every agency that will take them and if I have to, file an action in court for a refund. Since I'm an attorney, that is not a problem for me. Hopefully other people will see my review and the hundreds of others before making the same mistake that I made.

I purchased a sectional from Freehold Huffman Koos in February 2016, was told it would take 8-10 weeks, when it was actually 15. That alone was upsetting, but when it finally was delivered, I was at work, so my husband came home quickly to accept it. After getting home later in evening, naturally I looked at it, but it was for a sunroom that we didn't use often, and we were going away, I did not notice a small cigarette-sized hole in the top back of one end until we returned about 6 days later. I called the store immediately and was told there was nothing I could because anything had to be noticed within 48 hours. I had purchased a protection plan separately, and was told by the manager to call them. I did, but because I didn't know how the hole got there, it was not covered.
I made several calls, and stops to the store within the next week to speak to a manager, and NEVER getting a returned call after being told he would look into it, and contacting customer service, and being told there was nothing they could do and being so frustrated with the LACK of customer service, I decided to contact my credit card and dispute the payment. Within several weeks, my credit card sent me a letter stating all the money was credited back to my account. By this time it was the end of the summer, and I was expecting to be contacted by Huffman Koos.
So, fast forward to February, 2017, I got my mail the other day, and among it was a letter from a collections agency for the delinquent account. I have never received ANY type of correspondence from Huffman Koos prior to this. All I was looking for before this whole mess began was someone from the store, to make good on the damaged part. It was the smallest end section of the sofa, that could have been repaired. Considering the cost which was over $ 3,000.00, I don't think that's asking a lot, especially if you want to keep customers coming back... I WILL never recommend, or set foot in a Huffman Koos store and I advise everyone to do the same!

My experience with this company at first was ok at the Queens location. Sales rep was cool. Got a good deal until they got our money. Told us the Aspen furniture won't be delivered until Sept 2016 but we got it early August. Once the order came all furniture was damaged. Pasha bedroom set also damaged. Come to find out they shipped me the floor sample. Numerous emails, pictures and complaints. Nothing has been settled. Now my bed rails are falling apart. Still nothing has been solved. When I call they give me the run around and 100's of excuses. I just want to get our 100's of dollars back and they can keep this trash they sold me.

I ordered custom Craftmaster Furniture from Huffman Koos on Oct. 13, 2016. I was promised delivery in 8 to 10 weeks. I am a fairly patient customer so even though I did not receive my furniture before the Holidays (10 weeks) I was not that upset. After the Holidays, I still gave it a week but never heard from Huffman Koos. I began calling them on January 9th. Each time I called I got a different answer and was promised that a manager would call me. A manager never called me until January 23rd, after I had my credit card company reverse my deposit.
On January 23rd (15 weeks), the polite manager informed me that she still could not tell me when my furniture would arrive, where it was, why it wasn't shipping etc. We can track pizza but not furniture, it is truly unbelievable. They are supposedly currently "re-branding" to carry a more expensive line of furniture. With this record of customer service I don't see how they survive. Consumers expect better and the more they pay for things the higher level of service they expect. Do not purchase furniture from this retailer. I should have read the reviews before I did.

I purchase a bedroom set at the Queens Blvd. location. I don't recommend this store to anyone! When my furniture was delivered the delivery driver brought to my attention that the thread on the mattress was all coming off all around the bed. The furniture had all nicks and scratches almost on all the pieces. I spoke to someone that the delivery person called and I was reassured that the mattress would be changed as soon as possible and that they would send someone to inspect the furniture. It has now been 3 months. I can't begin to say how many phone calls I have made to the store and the corporate office is impossible to speak to anyone. Very unprofessional and greatly disappointed with Huffman Koos and its staff.

We order dining room furniture on Feb 7th 2016. On March 12, they deliver a table and eight chairs, which included two damaged chairs that we sent back. After repeated phone calls through April 13, they delivered china and two replacement chairs. They fulfilled the order with used items and damaged pieces. As with previous order, we rejected all the pieces of this order. Their deliveryman also confirmed that the items in the April 13 order were used. Frustrated with the vendor, we started to call them again and they kept on expanding the delivery date by telling us the delivery will happen next month. After many calls and complaints, one of the sales person Bruce ** sent us an email stating that he spoke to his manager, Julio, and agreed to cancel the order and refund the full amount if we do not get brand new items with the three weeks time frame, which is to expire on November 30.
When delivery arrived on Nov 23rd, we asked the deliveryman if the items are brand new. As expected, items were floor sample and he because they repacked the items to look new by putting them in boxes. Before they began unloading the items, I went inside the delivery truck to check if they were brand new items. Without any hope, I found they were damaged and looked old. As promised by the sales agent, Bruce, in his written communication had the vendor will refund the money if the items in the order are not to our satisfaction.
As of today, we have not received our money which we paid prior to the February 7th delivery. No one answers our phone calls and are given runarounds. We have no alternate left but to take legal action. For all those planning to even purchase a small furniture items from the Farmingdale, New York, store to please go and show at other store because this place will take your money and will not refund you by giving you the turnarounds.

The Farmingdale, NY location of Huffman Koos furniture store fails to provide customer service to their customers. The salesmen we worked with were fine. We purchased furniture on Dec. 5, 2016 and paid in full for it on Dec. 7, 2016 on the condition that it could and would be delivered to our home out of state on or before Dec.24, 2016. We made it clear that if that was not possible we would not go through with the sale. The manager and Joy the woman in charge of scheduling deliveries ensured us it would be delivered prior or on Dec. 24, 2016. We called several times to speak with both a manager of the store to be told repeatedly that they were gone for the day or not available. $14,000.00 is the amount we spent on furniture in that store. I think someone should speak with us.
After repeated calling I finally spoke with Joy who said the furniture would be there on Dec. 24, 2016. The furniture never arrived creating a disaster for my holiday. All they had to do was be truthful about the delivery and actually take time to provide customer service. You had no problem taking our money. This experience was horrible and I would never recommend this store to anyone. I want to know where my furniture is. Please contact me at **.

One star is way too much. Bought bedroom furniture, finally delivered, and missing several crucial parts needed for assembly!!! Over 20 phone calls - non returned. Payment stopped thru credit card company--a week later they call! Twice tried to deliver missing parts--wrong model, wrong size!!! This has been the WORST buying experience of my life. I should have checked the online reviews. STAY AWAY!!!

I will NEVER buy from HK again. We bought a wall unit in Sept. and when it was delivered the delivery men dropped a top shelf which damaged the panels. Long story short, we stopped payment and after 11 phone calls (to date) the Customer Service REPEATEDLY screwed up the work order to reship the shelf, OR hardware, OR the # of craftsmen to be sent! AWFUL! People would not call back. We always had to call. It will now be repaired in January! I tried calling the corporate office (president or some other higher up) who might care that the consumer was handled poorly but got no one. I am left to be put on hold and I have to follow up constantly to get what I paid for! I WANT THE PRESIDENT OF THIS AWFUL COMPANY TO CALL ME!

On Labor Day 2016, I placed an order with Huffman Koos for a Natuzzi sofa and love seat which they said is a special order because I wanted black leather. They just delivered it today, but it was damaged. When the delivery men unwrapped the sofa and love seat, I started inspecting it and found scratches on both and the sofa had 2 tears. A Huffman Koos representative at the local store told me that they would send a technician to come and check it. NOO!!! I purchased brand new sofa and love seat and waited 3 months, not a floor sample. I don't want it fix since the tears and scratches to me means BAD QUALITY CONTROL. New means no tears and scratches. If I wanted a floor sample I would not pay $2500. Also, the area where you rest your back looks very poorly stuffed. The back of the love seat has a 2 to 3 inch thick line that looks like dirt. There are indents where they shouldn't be any.
I am very disappointed with my experience. I advise people to strongly think about it and make sure they are getting sofas that are perfect condition when delivered. They offered to fix it. Why should I need to fix something that was just delivered with these flaws? They should replace the sofa and love seat with a seat that has none of these flaws or give me a full refund. That is only fair.

I purchased a Natuzzi 5 piece Soprano. On the day of delivery in Aug, the coach came damaged. The dust cover on the bottom covers the 2 main pieces were ripped. When we called Customer Service after waiting 2 months then to find out the order was never placed at the Corporate office and after the tech came by TWICE to tell us the original cover with the zipper is not available but they can send a tech and staple the dust cover on the bottom 2 pieces. NOOOOOOO!!! I paid over $6,500. I expect to get the pieces fixed as it should have at the time of delivery.
As of Oct 27, 2016 I emailed Crystal ** from the Corporate office and NO REPLY!!! I used my hard earn money to purchase this couch. AND I purchased EXTENDED. It is unethical what Huffman's Corporate office is doing - ignoring and neglecting to fix the damages that was made by THEIR own delivery people. I even said to Crystal ** "If you were the one that purchased a $6,500 couch, would you be fine with customer service saying we can't replace the dust cover with the original zip cover but we can have it stapled into the couch." I will reach out to the Corporate office this week. I am very disappointed! Very!

We purchased a reclining sofa and LOVESEAT around April. We were told it would take about 8-10 weeks to deliver. When the delivery men arrived, they had trouble getting it into the house. They damaged our front door, moulding, and closet door. When they unwrapped the pieces they were two different colors! One dark brown love seat that looked like it was dirty and a light brown couch. We called the store. They said they do not even make the pieces in light brown! They put the pieces back in the delivery truck and promised to rectify the situation.
The next morning the delivery men arrived and took the pieces off the truck. IT WAS THE SAME TWO MISMATCHED COUCHES! Back onto the truck. My husband went to Huffman Koos to talk to Julio. He promised we'd have it the next day but they needed to get them from the warehouse in NJ. By 11:00 at night we had the correct two pieces. It was the last day of May 2016. While there, we decided to also purchase a new mattress and base. It is a $5,000 mattress/base. They offered a free pillow. I asked for a mattress protector instead. When my husband went down to the store to talk to Julio about all the delivery problems, he told my husband that if I wrote a positive review about him online that he would give us $100.00 in store credit.
Around August, someone was reclining in the LOVESEAT. I noticed there was a lot of dust or powder underneath. When I moved the love seat, I saw a piece of metal poking through the back of the couch. It had been gouging out pieces of our wallpaper and dry wall. I moved the couch and noticed the same thing! I called the store and customer they told me I had to deal with their service department. I called and was given an Email address to send photos to. I sent the emails me photos. No response for a few weeks. I called again and realized I had misspelled the name of the email address so I resent the emails correctly. A few weeks passed. I began to notice other issues like sagging cushions, a cracked recline button, and padding under the seat bunching up. I don't think the couches should be falling apart after four months.
Around November, a service tech arrives. He took photos and I pointed out all the issues. He left and said he needed to order parts. No response for a while. I began calling the store. I asked to speak to Julio and left messages and my phone number. He never called me back. I have called Julio maybe twenty times since then but he never calls me back.
Multiple calls to the store, customer service, corporate... One evening I drove down to the store. I spoke to Ted, I believe, and told him about all the issues. He told me that once the furniture arrives to my house they are no longer responsible for it. He looked into my visit from the service man and he only noted the damage to back of couches, and none of the other issues. I left, very upset and I called the service plan that they had charged us $199.00. They told me they have no record of us or our furniture. So Huffman Koos charged us for this protection plan and never enrolled us.
The next day, I called the store and asked to speak to the highest person in charge. Her name is Joy. I began to tell my story and she told me to come down and reselect new furniture. I drove down there with my invoices. I saw Julio. I asked him why he never called me back and he told me that he never got any message from me. I told him that if he is a Catholic, he'd better go to confession! Joy got on the phone with corporate. They said in order for a reselection or refund of the couches I needed another service call. I asked her to set one up. She promised someone would be there that Monday.
Nobody arrived that Monday. I also pointed out that we were charged for a protection plan that Huffman Koos never enrolled us in. Joy wrote up an invoice with my bank account info and the reason for the refund. She told me the money would be refunded. A couple more emails to the service department who now began telling me I needed to contact corporate. I did so three or four times. There's no option to speak to a Human being. I then called Huffman Koos in New Jersey and spoke to someone there. She sent an email to corporate. Then, Ms. **, finally called me. She informed me that the damage to the furniture is my fault since we had it too close to the wall and they will not repair our furniture. I am beyond frustrated. I have wasted countless hours on this matter.

I bought a Capri sofa in Oct/2016 and I was told I would receive the sofa by November. I just received a call saying it will take another month. So I called the store to cancel my order and the salesman and manager are out. If I want to cancel I have to pay 20%. Very disappointed. Never go to this store again. Go somewhere else!

On Oct 16, 2016 my sectional couch with sleeper sofa was delivered. As soon as delivery men left, I discovered a large rip in the mattress which was obviously done with box cutter when attempting to remove plastic. I immediately contacted number on my receipt and sent pictures of the damage. The woman, Michele, emailed me confirming receipt of pictures and said "corporate" would contact me with delivery date for new mattress. I have not heard from anyone nor can I get in touch with anyone. No one is ever available to answer the calls and I have left several messages. This is extremely frustrating and totally unacceptable customer service. I have emailed and called the woman who I originally spoke to to see if she could expedite things. As I stated before, no one from "corporate" has responded. I purchased this sleeper/sectional because I have company coming next week and I need the bed for them. I just don't know what else to do.

I am extremely upset and frustrated with service I have received at Huffman Koos in Farmingdale, NY along with the corporate office. On August 17, 2016 I purchased a mattress, box spring, bedroom set, and leather sectional. At the time of purchase, I was told all items would be delivered in a week. As promised, I received a phone call scheduling my delivery for the next day. At the time of the call I confirmed with the rep the items scheduled to be delivered. She said all pieces except one piece of our sofa.
When the delivery truck finally showed up (1 hour after the call saying they would be there in 10 minutes), the only items on the truck were 3 pieces of the sectional, one of which had a rip in the leather. The delivery men did not have any information, and when I called Customer Service, she couldn't provide me any information other than the pieces weren't in yet. This is completely unacceptable. When I confirmed with the woman who scheduled the delivery, the items being delivered, I cleared out all my old furniture in order to make room from the new set. Needless to say my husband and I spent a week sleeping in the floor and a couch due to us not having the promised furniture.
After multiple calls to the store, the store "found" our mattress and agreed to have it delivered a week after the original delivery date. When it was delivered, again the item was damaged. There was a rip on both sides of the mattress. Although we were happy to have a mattress, we still would like our bedroom furniture to be delivered. Again, after multiple calls and refusals from managers to speak to us, a customer service rep promised our furniture would be delivered by end of September, not acceptable considering we placed the order over a month ago and were promised delivery one week later. Needless to say September came and went, and we did not receive a delivery nor has there been any attempt by Huffman Koos to contact us to keep us informed.
Only after phone calls by both me and my husband were we finally able to speak to someone, and the woman now says the items won't be available until December, again not acceptable. That is 4 months after my purchase date. When I was given this information, I tried to cancel because this is not a company I want to do business with. I was not allowed to cancel over the phone nor would they even put a manager on the phone to speak to me. I still very much intend to cancel my $9000 order, but in the time being, I do not recommend anyone shop at this terrible store. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

Huffman Koos delayed my mother in law's couch delivery for over a month. When they scheduled the delivery, we specifically asked that they call my mother in law's aide, since neither I, nor her son, live with her at the assisted living facility and we would be at the doctor's all afternoon. The store assured us that the delivery crew would call the aide 30 minutes before arrival. They did not. Instead, I found messages on my voicemail stating they would be there "in 10 minutes" and then again "since there was no call back they were leaving". When I retrieved the messages, I immediately tried to call customer service. Despite it being normal business hours, no one answered the phone, and I left a message which no one returned.
The store, who had told me that they specifically pointed out the aide's number to the delivery center, couldn't understand why they would call me instead. I asked for the truck to come back, but when she called them, the driver responded, "once we leave we don't go back." Let me emphasize, that the delivery was at an assisted living facility, which has numerous staff right at the door who could have let them in! My mother in law is 83, has dementia and because we moved out her recliner in anticipation for the couch, had NOWHERE TO SIT.
The store arranged for redelivery later in the week and promised to leave ONLY THE AIDE's number for them to call. The next day (because THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK), they told me that several contact numbers were associated with the delivery (still?) and that the store never pointed it out to them. Whether it was the store or the delivery doesn't matter, the customer should have been properly notified -- the right number, with 30 minutes notice.
I posted all over our community board to stay away from Huffman Koos. I am also filing a complaint with the BBB, because HK never offered to rectify the situation, compensate us or otherwise make this right. Prior to dealings with Huffman Koos, we purchased from Raymour and Flannigan, which always responded and had great customer service. HK, in sharp contrast, has poor customer service, does not stand behind its product and fails to deliver as promised. Shame on you. I will never shop at HK again.

Very, very bad experience. August 30 I spend $3000 for sofa and to love seat. I receive sofa which have stain and damage. They promise me they're gonna deliver 2 week by the September 7. When I call them they're very rude and nasty with me especially Eli manager. He was nice to me when he sell the furniture. When I call after ask for my furniture his answer was he not responsible. How I trust this Huffman Furniture company. I never recommend no one this company. Today is September 20 there told me maybe I will receive October 15. I need my money back. I work very hard for my money.

I don't usually post negative reviews. But my wife & I have to let everyone know to stay away from Huffman Koos if you're looking for furniture. We had all kinds of problems with them, horrible custom service. They were suppose to deliver our sofa & love seat Saturday to our house in Cutchogue. We hadn't planned on being there that weekend but went out just to receive the delivery. At 7:15 AM we had a call that they would be there in 45 mins. I told them the address on that call for the Cutchogue house. An hour & half later I called the delivery person to see when they'd be here and they said we're here. Where I said? They went to our Greenlawn home instead. They told they would bring it to Cutchogue. A little later my wife got a call from HK that they want to re-schedule. She told them that wasn't acceptable and they agreed to shift us to the last delivery with a window of 4:30 - 8:30.
After several calls during the afternoon with HK telling me that they would still be coming, I called the delivery guy at 8:20 PM & he said to me my schedule is over call the store & hung up on me. Then I did call the store and couldn't get to speak to the mgr but was told that either Ted or Julio would call me first thing Sunday morning. I phoned the store once more on Sunday afternoon and left a VM (the answering machine said they reply within 30 mins). Now it's late on Monday morning no calls, no emails, no anything. This was the latest of several problems dealing with them, not getting call backs as to when the furniture would be in, no responses etc.
Finally I went to the store Monday afternoon. Ted was there. He told me he wasn't in on Sunday. He had no knowledge of my situation. He said there was an email about my problem from the last person (Shannon) that I talked with but no response. Ted was very apologetic but could not accommodate a new delivery date that works for our schedule for another two weeks since we are not full time residents at that house. Our time is very valuable. At this point I am prepared to stop payment with our bank if do not get satisfaction.

On Sept 12, 2016, I had a pretty good experience at the showroom in Queens. I was greeted by a friendly woman and then handed over to Fabian who answered our questions and made the process of deciding really easy. We ordered a custom power sofa recliner in a light microfiber fabric and he told us it would take about 4 months because it would be made in Italy, but possibly it would be sooner since it was the beginning of the week when the order would go in. He was able to get us free delivery, no tax, and $150 off the stain guard plan. It came out to about 1300 in total. We gave him a deposit of $600 and had to sign a pretty lengthy contract that had all these requirements about not being able to cancel which at the time I thought was pretty odd.
After getting home, I read all of the horror stories online and I am now a bit concerned. It seems that there are a lot of problems with the time to delivery (we hope it will be sooner than Jan) and actual condition of the product upon delivery. Fabian assured us that the backs came off of the couches and there should be no problem getting it in the apt. I am hoping to be able to report back in about 4 months on the outcome of my purchase.
UPDATED ON 09/26/2016: I ordered my couch with custom fabric on 9/12/2016 and on 9/22/2016 Fabian left a message that the fabric was discontinued. Why did it take so long to contact me? This puts my order back another two weeks I assume? I went back to the store on Saturday Sept 24th to review the fabric samples. As soon as they realize that I am in to fix an existing order, they don't really pay attention to you and sort of avoid you as a customer. Very different treatment from a new customer who they are trying to get money from.
I was not really pleased with the available offerings and no one there was really being helpful. I think that Fabian was busy and he just gave me the swatches to choose another. Never saw him again. The person at the desk made a photocopy of the back of the new swatch that I selected and couldn't tell me anything else other than he would pass it on to Fabian. I am not sure about the status of my couch at this point. The manager, Eli, verbally stated that they would rush the order, but he had no idea who I was and what I was referring to. I really wasn't pleased with having to choose another fabric. I would like to inquire about canceling my order because I think that it will end up taking too long at this point. I am concerned that all of the reviews that I have read about problems with this place are true and would like to cancel my order while I am ahead.

I came in to look at sofas. Unlike the other furniture places, I didn't have someone following me around and asking me if I need help every two seconds. I had a guy that explained their sale and let me find my furniture. It was a pleasurable, no pressure situation. No problems.

I had a very nice experience while looking at Huffman Koos in Freehold for a couch. My saleswoman, Diane was extremely helpful. She was knowledgeable on all of the inventory and able to answer any of my questions I had regarding the different pieces I looked at. I never felt rushed or pressured into buying anything. She was able to give me the measurements I needed to make sure the couch was able to fit into my house properly. I would definitely come back again and I would recommend anyone else in need of furniture to do so as well. Thanks again!!

I ordered a leather sectional couch on January 9, 2016 from Huffman Koos. We had to choose between a textured leather and a smooth leather; we chose textured. It was supposed to take 12-14 weeks for delivery but it took much longer. After waiting nearly 5 months for this couch, two of the sections of the couch were covered in the wrong leather and one section had scratches and wrinkles. It took more than 3 weeks for a serviceman to come to my home to take pictures. The pictures clearly showed 2 sections of the couch had smooth leather and the rest of the couch had textured leather. The pictures also showed the scratches. The serviceman also pointed out that the colors did not match either.
After spending over $6,000 for a couch that took over 5 months to arrive, no one will return my calls or offer any type of resolution. It was not until after disputing the charge with my credit card company that I received a letter from Huffman Koos stating "a serviceman came to my home and service was refused." I was never offered any type of service so that is a completely false statement. To this day (Aug 22) no one has returned any of my numerous phone calls, nor has anyone responded to my emails or letters. Huffman Koos has demonstrated a lack of professionalism and a lack of customer service. They did not offer any resolutions to correct their error and then falsely accused me of refusing service. I did not receive the custom couch that was ordered. Instead, I received what appears to be a pieced together sectional made up of mismatched and damaged sections.

Custom ordered a Natuzzi Leather Sectional in February 2016, and delivery was attempted on 7/9/2106. During the delivery all of the pieces (5 total) of the sectional was damaged and I refused delivery. After 2 weeks of chasing the customer service manager at the Freehold location (Wayde **) I was giving their corporate number to call to get status on replacement. After speaking with customer service I was advised that the full sectional will not be ready for another 14 weeks (which puts delivery around November 2016). That would be 10 months to get a sectional. At this point I just want to cancel my order and get my sectional from somewhere else as I cannot go this long without furniture. I was told I need to speak to the manager at the corporate location (Arrianna **) but she has not been returning my calls.

I had a terrible experience with Huffman Koos in Farmingdale. 8 Weeks ago I went in to buy a couch with Gus the sales rep. I made my delivery for 3 weeks in advanced because I was waiting for my apartment to be done. I had to change my delivery date the day before and was actually surprised that no one had contacted me. When I called they told me my couch was not fully in stock so they set me up for another delivery date for July 2nd because they said the rest of the couch would be in June 30th. Once again no one contacted me while I actually waited for delivery on July 2nd and no couch. I called and they said that only another piece came in. Getting frustrated I asked when would the whole couch be in and she said to me "There is no way to tell." She said she would try to email the manufacturer to see its progress. Again no one called me back.
I then showed up at the store three times looking for a manager and all three times at PEAK hours they told me that there was no manager in the store. I then called to ask for the manager and Julio was actually in but could not come to the phone. I asked why and they had said because he is on the sales floor. I am actually really shocked that a store that held beautiful furniture is being run this way. Every time I call no one seems to know anything and I get the runaround.
The worst part about this the guy Gus that had sold me my couch tried to get me for 3000 and I said absolutely not, I did wind up paying 2500 IN FULL and he made it seem like I was getting a deal and insisted I pay credit card instead of financing to get a better deal. Meanwhile my couch is listed actual price at 1900 on the website. I am beyond furious and wish I read the reviews before I went there because there are many others that are going through the same. I don't suggest anyone do business with this company! I want my money back or I will take legal action.

Huffman Koos should be shut down! I have had the worst experience. I received damaged and USED furniture. I purchased a sofa set. The ottoman had broken legs, discolored set, and frayed. They sent a tech out twice and they were unable to fix. Tech stated it was used furniture. I called multiple times (approx 20). No one ever returns your calls. They said they were analyzing pictures of damages. The set was bought in Feb. Five months to review pictures of damaged furniture that a technician already said needed to be replaced. I'm beyond disappointed. I am in process of being them to small claims court. DO NOT BUY from HUFFMAN!

Back in February we ordered a sectional and a TV stand from Huffman Koos (referred to hereafter as HK). 8 weeks later they call to set a delivery date, "sorry the TV stand is back ordered and won't be with it". They come as scheduled but the corner wedge is wrong. Delivery guy tells us to accept everything and deal with HK to straighten it out. Yeah I don't think so. We make him take the corner wedge back and kept the couches. We go to HK and they tell us they think our corner was sent to someone else.
About 2 weeks later they tell us the factory made it wrong and they are ordering us a new one and tell us another 8 weeks, and "by the way your TV stand won't be in until June 30th!" TV stand finally arrives but they open the box and one of the legs falls out. Back to HK probably for the 4th time by now and they tell us they're going to fix it but give us $200 off the original sale price. TV stand comes back and the leg is fixed, but they send us a coupon for $200 off that we can use towards future purchases, not $200 off the TV stand. The wedge arrives at last, but the delivery guys moved the couch to put in the wedge and scratch our floors we just had redone. The delivery guy lets me talk to someone (dispatcher?), who tells me someone will be in touch about the scratch. Our salesperson called to find out how the delivery went and she too was going to contact the shipper about the scratch. We haven't heard back from either.
When I call HK they now put me on hold and don't return. I don't blame them, I wouldn't want to deal with this nonsense anymore either. Since making the last payment, the manager has also stopped returning texts. Everything after they made the initial sale was a terrible experience. Their entire system from just after you make your purchase to the end of your experience with them is completely broken and miserable. No one is held accountable, and no one takes any responsibility. They all blame someone else. Delivery blames sales, sales blame the factory, and nothing ever gets done. We really should have read the reviews for this place. It would have saved us a lot of headaches. I will never shop at this store ever again. But we'll always have the scratch in our floor to remember them by.
UPDATED ON 07/30/2016: After Huffman Koos left a response to my last review, and being contacted via email by them seeking to resolve my issues on July 11th and July 12th, I sent the information they requested on July 13th. When I didn't hear back, I requested an update on 3 separate occasions with no response from them. They finally wrote back on July 29th to tell me that they no longer work with the delivery company they were using when I got my delivery, and I would have to take the matter up with them. It's pretty typical of them to pass the blame off on someone else. The concern they showed in response to my last review seems to have been all for show so they look like they take complaints seriously when in fact they could care less. My issues with Huffman Koos remain unresolved, but I can rest easy knowing that I will never again have to deal with this company.

My husband and I ordered and fully paid for furniture in October of 2015. We are now in July 2016 and we're still missing furniture. Going back and forth between customer service and the store we originally bought it for. They bought in 1/4 of the furniture (full living room and bedroom sets) in October and left the bedroom set in boxes, the movers said to wait until the full set came in for us to unwrap everything. We slept on a mattress on the floor till June just to get a full bed set, we are still waiting for a second night stand AND dresser. The two night stands were originally sent out in boxes, in our bedroom.
We finally had one of the movers unbox it in June, and one of the night stands were damaged. We told them to take it back. After contacting the store, they refused, and the store receptionist refused to take it back also. We had to put it in the trunk of our car to take it back. Today, July 6th, we had a delivery time range of 1-5, I stayed home from work, and it is 9:15 and I'm still waiting for this one night stand, not even the dresser with it. I've called them at least 5 times to get updates, and now, at 9, they've stopped answering my calls. No one called me for any confirmations or updates. Also, the furniture quality is pretty bad honestly.
The "soft closing" drawers don't actually close till you force it closed, it's very wobbly and unstable. The granite on the top has so many imperfections on it, so does all the wood on the king bed frame. What a shame. We spend about $10,000 in that store in one shot and I honestly wish I shopped at Ikea. So not worth the money. Please don't make the mistake we did. The living room set wasn't perfect either. The cushions started sinking 2 months later, the foot was broken off of one, and a big indentation on the other couch. We had the service guy come and try to repair it, he takes the picture for the part, and the wrong side arrives a month later, so the repair guy came back again and sent another request. Still isn't resolved. It's been a wild goose chase.

We visited Huffman not sure what to expect - we don't furniture shop all that often - but we do know that sales reps can be quite pushy at furniture stores. Bill - he's the opposite of that. He's professional, courteous, and honest. He looks for the bottom line price for you - even if he can tell you're not happy - he will always go back to the manager and try to swing some more dollar signs off. The manager is also super friendly and seems quite established in the furniture circle. He has had many of his designs published in magazines and works with furnishing homes to people even outside of the country (e.g. Israel). We would rate our experience a perfect ten out of ten and we look forward to working with them in the future.

Purchased furniture back in December 2015 and still working through issues as of June 2016. Customer service is not responding. Purchased a dining room set with buffet. When furniture was delivered in January they didn't have screws to put table together. They left tabletop on top of chairs. When they came back and unwrapped tabletop it was damaged and there were scratches on chairs. They pulled out an expo pen as their remedy for scratches. Door on buffet has marks. Nobody from the store gets back to us. This is definitely not the Huffman Koos from 20 years ago. Avoid the store on route 110 in Melville.

I have never experienced such an unpleasant shopping experience at the Queens Blvd location in Queens, NY and I can't wait until I no longer have to deal with this store ever again. I have been waiting on a couch that was supposed to be delivered to me within a week of purchase for about 2 months now. I paid in full - cash (my mistake) and they continue (both sales associates as well as the "managers") to give me the runaround. I finally was able to have a civil conversation with Anthony who promised me my couch would come yesterday or today. The deliver men came with absolutely no product and came to install something that they had no idea what it was. How can you send installation people to install something without them knowing what it is is beyond me. I called the store again today and they have no knowledge of why this happened. I hope I am not writing this in vain.

Charged me twice for the same item. First charge was under H and K Furniture, the second charge was from Huffman Koos Furniture. When I called and confronted the manager, he promised to refund. No apology! He asked as it was just a routine issue. A month later there was still no refund and I had dispute the charge with the credit card.

I visited the Freehold Huffman Koos store last month. They had a nice selection of furniture. I especially liked their Natuzzi leather reclining sofa and ordered one for my home. My sofa is set to be delivered in July. The order did take a while to put through. I wish that was quicker and I have not received the swatch I requested. Otherwise, so far my experience has been okay. I'll write back when I get the furniture and give you an update.

This is the first time ever, I took a time to write a review. I am very dissatisfied with the unprofessional staff at this location. I ordered a custom sectional 9 weeks ago. I was told it will take between 4-6 weeks. The salesperson was very vocal about seeing this item being delivered in 4 weeks, but he didn't make promises. When I called after waiting 6 weeks to check on the status of my order, the tone in which I was talked to changed drastically. I was told with a great amount of attitude that the wait time is actually 6-8 weeks. When I asked what will happen if the sectional will not be delivered after 8 weeks, the response was: "I don't know ma'am. I don't know if the sun will rise tomorrow, let alone what will happen if your couch is not here." I also got a phone call from Kareen (not sure about spelling) from the customer service telling me my sectional is delayed.
When I asked to talk to manager, I was told he is not in that day and that I have to deal with the store where I purchased my sectional from. When I told him I would like to talk to whoever is above him, he transferred me to the store anyways. I tried to call again, and he just hung up on me. I spoke to the manager of the Rockaway location, Frank who told me I cannot cancel my order because I signed contract. Yes, I also signed that the delivery time will be 6-8 weeks! My husband called last week on Friday (exactly 8 weeks after we placed the order), and Frank told him the sectional will be in on Monday. It is Thursday today and still no sectional. I called yet again, and I am still waiting to hear back from Frank. I also left 2 voice mails for customer service, but nobody called me back. Seems they don't ever pick up. I will never buy anything from Huffman Koos stores and will tell everyone I know about my horrible experience with this store!

Bought bedroom set from Farmingdale location. Problems: 1. Delivered almost 3 weeks after promise date. 2. Calling to store - minimum 10-15 minutes to get someone. 3. Electrical component of light stand is not working. So many phone calls to store/warranty center and after 6 weeks of calls - Result 0. Part was never ordered. Paid fortune for bedroom set but service is unprofessional/unexpected. Before you buy - think twice and if you buy then don't expect any service from them.

My boyfriend and I went to Huffman Koos on Queens Blvd in September because we were shopping for furniture for our first apartment. Immediately the sales person Thomas comes up to us and promises us that if we purchase everything today he will give us a great deal. We purchased a sofa/loveseat, a bedroom set, and a dining room set. We purchased a bedroom set which included the bed and the dresser mirror. We thought we were getting the chest dresser included in the price but we found out when on the day the furniture was delivered that this wasn't the case. We ended up having to purchase it separately which we did only because we wanted it to match the other bedroom furniture.
The purchase that made us most upset was the Nina Sofa/Loveseat. At the time of purchase my boyfriend and I were not excited about this couch. Our salesperson Thomas convinced us to buy it by promising that it would be delivered on October 1, 2015 (the first date of our lease). The couches ended up being delayed and they did not arrive until about two weeks later. We were very upset with the fact that the couches were late but mostly with the customer service. Every time we would call Huffman Koos we were told a different story. Also Huffman Koos never even gave us the courtesy of a call telling us our couches would be late, we found out two days before October when we called to confirm delivery.
Four weeks ago in April 2016 one of the legs of the sofa gave out and when the body of the sofa hit the floor it cracked. We called customer service in New Jersey to explain the issue we were having since we had purchased a five-year warranty in September. We spoke to a man named Kareem who said that he would ship a new leg to our apartment and once we received the leg we could call the service company to fix our sofa. Kareem said the leg would take two weeks to come and when we asked for him to expedite (we offered to pay the cost) he said that wasn't possible. Three weeks later after still not receiving the leg we called Kareem and he said he was no longer sending us the leg but the service company would still come out and fix it. Again we had to call Huffman Koos to follow up on the whereabouts of the leg they were sending us when they should have been the one to follow up with us.
We spoke to Kareem today and he said that the original service company does not service to our area so he would have to get another one. When the service company called to set up a time to come we were told that they couldn't bring us a new leg but that we would have to wait for Huffman Koos to send us the leg to schedule service (Square One). My boyfriend and I are very upset by this situation especially since we weren't too fond of the couches in the first place and now we have a couch that is very low and slants to the right because the front right leg gave out. The customer service at Huffman Koos is despicable, every time my boyfriend or I call we get told something different and this is a very frustrating experience. Huffman Koos should at least take the time to reach out to their customers when something is different than planned. We will never be shopping here again due to the poor customer service.

Huffman Koos salesman Bill ** truly took the time to help us find the table we were looking for, both in terms of style, quality, and price. We especially appreciated his availability, responsiveness, knowledge and unpressured approach. A couple of days after placing our order, we wanted to change a design feature on our order. Our requested modification was handled expeditiously and without any problem. Lastly, we cross priced our purchase and know that we received a very good price. If the delivery and setup are as smooth as our initial experience, we will certainly look forward to doing further business with Huffman Koos and, of course, Bill in the future.

Friday, 4/29/16, I went to Huffman Koos in Farmingdale NY to purchase 2 sofas that I had looked at earlier in the week. They were having a Friends & Family promotion. Donald ** was very courteous - and remembered us from earlier in the week. The purchase was fast & 'painless'. No issues with receiving the 20% off discount, even though it was a custom order and I was also, after a deposit, able to finance the balance at 0%. Will definitely be going back!

Was not happy that furniture is not in stock and have to wait 12-14 weeks before it's delivered to my apartment. Process also took a very long time in the store. I went to Huffman Koos on Feb 20, 2016 and spent many hours there purchasing 2 bedroom sets, a dining room set, and a leather couch for a total of $16,925.70. The salesperson was Fabian and there was a manager involved, I think his name was Tony. They kept telling me they were giving me a special price because I was purchasing so much but it turned out that they overcharged me $683.74 on the couch which I luckily caught before leaving the store.
The furniture in the store seemed very nice and is made in Italy but when it was delivered, the curio was damaged and so was the chest for one of the bedrooms; the parts to attach the mirror on one of the bedroom pieces is missing; the dining room table has missing parts for the extra leaves; and two of the dining room chairs had discoloring on the legs. We had a big argument to get them to take back the damaged pieces, they wanted to bring someone to "fix" them - why would I pay thousands of dollars for "fixed" furniture?
Finally they took back the damaged pieces and they came back weeks later with the same damaged curio and no bedroom chest. The only things that were replaced were the two dining room chairs. Again we had a big argument to take back the curio. They scratched my newly lacquered wooden floor and scuffed my walls because the furniture was not covered.
Today again they re-delivered the exact same damaged curio and they delivered another damaged bedroom chest. They told me the pieces for the bedroom mirror and the dining room table cannot be delivered until July. They refuse to call me back and I call every day, every hour of the day and am told no one is there to speak to me. I am going to deny the entire charge because without the entire set of furniture and with the lousy customer service, I don't want any of this furniture and I very much regret ever going to Huffman Koos.

I'm writing this review because of the horrible experience that I am going through with the Huffman Koos Farmingdale, NY location. I have purchased 3 sofas for over $3,000 total and have only received 1 to date. I have been getting nothing but the runaround from customer service and sales. They've either hung up on me or they have not called me back or just haven't provided sufficient information and won't let me escalate to a manager. I went to the BBB and am still trying to get my sofas. My point is do not shop at this store. You will not get what you pay for. Or, in my case, not get anything yet.

We recently purchased two rooms of furniture from the Rockaway store and dealt with Jeff and Frank. Both of these gentlemen need to learn customer service. They were very nice until they got our money. Then they didn't ever return a call. We purchased floor models and the leaves for the table are different widths so unusable. We requested new ones because the floor models were damaged and Jeff said no problem. Well once we paid it has been nothing but a problem. Our couch was damaged by the delivery men and not one person has returned a call. This company will never call you back and promise you the world before they get your money, stay away.

The mission was to purchase a Power Lift Recliner for our "Super Senior" Mom. Countless hours researching online and measuring; realizing we needed a "Wall Hugger" chair and a tufted-back was uncomfortable. We visited six stores in a two-week period without purchasing a chair. Mom was frustrated -- her current recliner had to go -- she needed a Power Lift ASAP. Why was it so difficult to find?
On Thursday, March 31, 2016, Mom, my sister and me decided to take a "field trip" to Route 110 and the many furniture stores on that strip. Mom stayed in the car with my sister; I went on reconnaissance in the Farmingdale, NY Huffman Koos store. There I met salesman Bill **. Yes he said, they have Power Lift Recliners. He took me to the far corner of the showroom to see the chairs (which makes no sense that the people who need the power chairs have to walk the furthest -- but that's a showroom layout issue for another review -- it's a concern in all stores). A text to my sister ("They have them and I like what I see") and Mom came in the store, ready to be disappointed again. She was not.
Mr. ** pointed out a chair to Mom and explained the features and the ease of the two-button remote as we took measurements. His knowledge of the mechanism, the chair's structure and the manufacturing process was not a "memorized script" -- Mr. ** genuinely knew what he was talking about and his mannerism indicated he believed in the product. When Mom tested the chair, he even took a banner that was on a display stand behind the chair and put it close to simulate "a wall" and how much space we would need when the chair was fully reclined.
We were concerned about two issues: Was the chair truly a "Wall Hugger" and did it have a battery backup; Mom also wanted sleeve covers. Mr. ** called the Sales Rep to verify "wall hugger" and "battery backup" were true and sleeve covers could be ordered for a nominal cost. He also advised us that a chair in the color and material as the floor model (which Mom liked -- it coordinated with her decor) would be coming in within three to four weeks, instead of a special order of approximately eight weeks. Mr. ** made the sale and Mom happily had a chair. As we completed the paperwork for the sale, Mr. ** explained every step in the post-sale process with delivery; seeing that Mom needed reassurance, he advised her that she could call him at any time with questions and concerns even after the chair was delivered.
From the moment I walked in the store, to when I exited with my family, Mr. ** was very patient, kind, obliging, informative and accommodating to Mom, my sister and me. He was a gentleman and a gentle man. I highly recommend Mr. Bill ** as a salesperson. His Customer Service skills are exemplary and he is the benchmark for what a salesperson should be. Today, Tuesday, April 5, 2016. Mr. ** called Mom. "The chair is in, when would she like to schedule delivery?" On Friday, April 8, 2016, the Power Lift Recliner is going to be delivered -- three weeks ahead of schedule (the chair sleeves will be mailed directly to my Mother in a few weeks). Mom is filled with anticipation of the comfortable tool that will make getting up significantly easier and less stressful on her body. Thank you Mr. ** and thank you Huffman Koos.

I was particularly impressed with his manner and his knowledge when discussing the many options available for the eventual purchase that we made. Jules was very polite and portrayed a very pleasant atmosphere for my wife and I to make our selection. My wife and I were shopping in your Freehold NJ store yesterday 4/3/2016. We were comparing different china display cabinets. Our sales rep was Bill **. We felt he was very helpful with our purchase. I did not feel pressured or harassed by sales person, as what usually happens when we shop for furniture. Our overall experience was pretty good. There was a little wait at the counter for payment/deposit as there was an irate customer giving the staff a hard time. I also thought the staff handled the irate person very professionally. My husband and I purchased a custom leather sectional at Huffman Koos in January 2016. We spent several hours with a salesman and store manager going over the details of the couch and the leather. We paid half of the total amount with the remainder to be paid when delivered. Our delivery finally came on March 5th (Saturday). Over the weekend we smelled a very bad odor coming from the couch and also realized it was not the leather we had picked out. We tried for almost 2 weeks to get someone to come to our home to look at it. Finally an outside source contacted us and came on March 23rd. He explained that the couch was sprayed with a type of polyurethane chemical, to prevent scratching and wear and tear and asked us whether or not the salesman explained this to us. Under no circumstance did anyone explain this to us at the time of purchase. I would never have bought this sectional!!
I have a daughter that is recovering from a Stem Cell Transplant. Having this in my house could of compromised her. The odor was terrible. We have tried since then to have someone come and pick up the sectional and no one has contacted us. We explained to the technician that came that we did not want an exchange and we wanted a refund because we have no faith in Huffman Koos after selling us a piece of furniture that was sprayed with a chemical. I clearly have tried without any success at all to resolve this matter. We have had to move the sectional into the garage because of the odor and purchased another sectional from a different store. We purchased a sofa at the Farmingdale Huffman Koos. What actually could have been a difficult and stressful situation was actually and surprisingly (especially in today's day and age of low customer service) handled so INCREDIBLY PROFESSIONAL and respectful that we are still talking about it to our friends and family. When our sofa arrived it was the wrong color because of an error made in a change of color somewhere along the line. Julio **, the Store Manager handled the issue and ensured that a new sofa would be ordered and delivered to us. He was apologetic, he was professional and he made the experience one where we left pleased that we had made our purchase at Huffman Koos. Mr. ** is an asset to your company and we highly recommend him and Huffman Koos!

I was hesitant to go to Huffman, thinking it would be too expensive. We went to Raymour & Flanigan's and Bob's first. Bob's Furniture was unacceptable for an older couples like us for the most part, it is inexpensive furniture. Raymour is a step up. We purchased our couch from them and had no problems. So upon return, we went thru the 50 or so pieces on display and found one we liked, but knew there was room for improvement. So what's to lose? Let's go to Huffman and see. WOW! What a difference in quality. Real wood, no fillers, dovetail drawer joints and a very good selection.
Our salesman name was Bill. Very professional, knowledgeable and not the least bit pushy. When we found a set we liked he bent over backwards to help us make the purchase, knowing we were spending 1/3 more than we originally budgeted, more so because added a couple of additional pieces to the set. We got an amazing bedroom set, and with a year free financing. Bill made us a very happy couple. Thank you Bill for everything.

I have been back and forth with this company for over a year. I purchased Natuzzi living room set and it was broken. I waited for over a month for the person who is supposed to start the process of getting the furniture replaced. Finally this woman did her job and confirmed that the new furniture would be delivered in July 2015. The delivery came in August 2015 and it was damaged. The delivery company called us downstairs to inspect it first and this is we saw the damaged furniture. Once again with back and forth. I'm told the next delivery would be in December 2015.
I received a call in January 2016 that the furniture will not be delivered because it is damaged and the warehouse will not send it out because of this. Now I go to the store and I'm given all kinds of excuses and eventually told that they will put a rush on it and have it delivered in March 2016 and if not I'll get a refund because of the inconvenience of how long it's taken. So as of today, I'm told not until May and if I cancel I must pay a restocking fee. I asked "why should I pay a restocking fee if the furniture is not even ready until May and what are you restocking and not to mention, I've waited over a year, you've sent damaged furniture to my home twice." The employees are not honest and they are rude. The original salesman was the nicest person at this location. I say all of this to say - DON'T BUY FURNITURE FROM HUFFMAMN KOOS - EVER. It's not worth it!!!

We got a sofa and love seat from one collection and an accent chair and pillows from another and a coffee table and end table from a third to make up our perfect living room. He worked out the delivery and pricing for us as well.

Our furniture was purchased 10/4/15 in the Farmingdale store. Huffman Koos promised 6-8 week delivery. Our furniture delivered 12-4-15, within the 8 weeks. Furniture delivered with the incorrect ottoman, which was refused. Spoke with the HK rep on delivery day, and they promised to do the paperwork to get correct ottoman. Lived with the furniture for a week and were not happy with it. Attempted to phone all numbers for store, never any answer or call back. Husband went in and spoke with store manager Frank, and we were told there was not much they could do for us, but if we went on 3 websites, and made positive reviews, they 'might' be able to exchange set, which I did, under duress. It felt like blackmail.
1-4-16 Husband went back into store. They would not exchange set, which was fine with us at that point, but they never ordered correct ottoman. Now, we realize springs were not properly attached in sofa, tried to phone again, still no answer. 3-7-16, still no ottoman, back into store, waited an hour for customer service, and was told ottoman would not be shipped until 3-28, and someone would call me regarding the sofa. Now, 5 months later, no ottoman, and a damaged sofa. Customer service has been nonexistent.
UPDATED ON 08/02/2016: As my struggle with Huffman Koos quickly approaches a year, I just want to shout out about how excited I am. Well, honestly, I just want to shout. Or scream. My saga continues: Lo and Behold, on July 20th, I was sent a text by Julio, the store manager in Farmingdale, to let me know my ottoman was in. Let's celebrate! (Wait! Hear the sound of screeching brakes?) My husband went to confirm that it was the correct one, which it was, and I authorized Bank of America Visa to reverse the credit for the ottoman, and pay Huffman Koos in full, which they immediately did. The credit was posted July 25th.
Julio informed me it would take a few days for them to see it, and referred me to Ted **, who checked once, and did not see the credit. (Have we entered the Stone Age here?) Now, neither Ted or Julio respond to my inquiries, and my ottoman is sitting in limbo, in the back of their store, waiting. Julio is probably sitting on it right now eating his Whopper on it, and wiping his hands on the side.
It is August 2, 9 days later, and guess what? STILL NO OTTOMAN! I would think, after all this store has put me through, they would deliver this ottoman to my home at no charge, with a team of white Arabian Chargers, pulling it in Cinderella's gold filigree carriage, with trained eagles singing an I'm sorry song. They should treat me to any frigging thing in the store I wanted, and give me a coupon for a massage and dinner at the finest restaurant on Long Island for all the frustration they have caused me. But still, they remain, clueless as ever. And I still have nothing to rest my weary feet on. Take my advice, do not step one foot in this store.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My sales rep was Joe ** and a Russian man. They were both very nice when I was in the store purchasing my sofa. I was there for quite some time, went across the street to Macy's to compare, then came back and finally purchased a sectional sofa. This was on 9/20/15. I was told it would take 12-16 weeks for delivery (and that is the lead time on the contract I signed). They said they would try to get it in for December but it might be January due to the holidays. No problem.
The 16 weeks pass and I do not hear from them. Jan 13, I email Joe, leave a VM and have to call back every hour in order to get someone on the phone. I spoke to someone named Peter. He said they made a mistake and the lead time should actually be 16-20 weeks and that the sofa will be in warehouse on Feb 9, at that time someone will call to collect the rest of my balance and schedule delivery. I ask if they can do anything for me (e.g. shorten the lead time, take any $$ off the balance) and he says he will send an email to find out but he gets a lot of emails every day so he might not be able to follow up... what? I ask him to copy Joe on the email so someone can let me know what is going on. On Jan 15 I email Joe again to ask if there are any updates, no response.
Today is Feb 16. I still have not once been contacted by anyone from Huffman Koos. I called again today and spoke with Daidre (sp?). She said the furniture reached the port but has not yet been delivered to the warehouse. I let her know I will be away after next week until the middle of March, she said she would call me back to provide a delivery date. Since it is now over 20 weeks, I asked again if anything could be done for me. She offered a $100 gift certificate to the store but I declined because I would not like to do business with this store again. She said she would see if they could do anything else.
As of now, I have been provided with three different lead times, all of them have passed and I still do not have my furniture, not once has anyone followed up with me or returned any emails or VMs. The only way I have gotten in touch with someone is by constantly calling until someone answers and even then, all that happens is the delivery date keeps getting pushed further out. Not sure how to get my furniture at this point.

This place is truly awful! I just went there yesterday to buy a full size bed for my 16 month old son. When I got the bed home I noticed it was too small for the bed. When you sat on bottom of the bed you literally fell in because it was too short for the frame. When I measured it, it showed that is was 73"L & 51"W where a true full is 75"L & 54"W. When I called to bring this to the attention, the manger Jeff ** (probably spelled wrong), he proceeded to yell at me saying I didn't know what I was talking about and that there was nothing he would do because it was on clearance. I was very respectful and never raised my voice as I continued to explain that this was false advertising and that someone could get hurt, I especially would not put my son who is not even two on the bed.
Jeff continued to be extremely rude to me and tell me that there was no way my infant son would get hurt. It nice to see that he is alright with putting a baby at risk of hurting themselves or worse dying. I was extremely surprised at how rude a manger could be to a customer when they are the ones that are at fault. I will be speaking to the better business bureau about this. This is not the way to conduct business or how to speak to customers.

Let me start by saying if I can give Zero Stars I would. Furniture was purchased at the Freehold location. They took a deposit and we then paid it in FULL the day prior to delivery. The receipt noted the TIME, DAY and STOP # of delivery. Huffman Koos breached our contract by not delivering our furniture on the day and time frame it was to be delivered. No one notified us they would not be delivering it. After hours and hours of waiting we called only to find out the furniture was lost, not on the truck and they had no idea where it was. Huffman Koos did not want to work with us so at that time we Cancelled our contract although being told I cannot do that by Huffman Koos. Huffman Koos refused to reimburse our money so we obtained a FULL REFUND by means other than through Huffman Koos.

My wife and I were shopping for new den furniture on Saturday, January 9, 2016. We were shopping in so many different furniture stores that day. We had seen so much stock and heard about so many different "deals" that day that nothing short of confusion and frustration were beginning to set in. We decided to end our shopping extravaganza for the day at Huffman Koos on Route 46 in Rockaway, NJ. First let me say that we were greeted by one of your salesmen with a friendly smile and greeting. He opened the door, let us in and basically said "Come in and enjoy yourselves looking around." That set the tone right away for a relaxed look around for us. He didn't follow us around or ask a lot of questions like so many sales folks did to us that day. We were relaxed.
We spent about 30 minutes looking around before we asked that salesman, Jeff **, a whole host of questions. He answered everyone of our questions with an easy relaxing voice and with a true knowledge of all of the products like none of the other sales folks from any other store did. There was no rush or selling being done on his part. He sat with us like a friend and explained quality, workmanship, and product durability with real honesty. We bought a leather sofa, a leather love seat and a coffee table from Jeff that day. Our entire buying experience was wonderful because of his concern for our needs. We paid for the furniture and a delivery date was set up for a few days later as all the pieces were in stock.
I took off from work that day of the delivery. The delivery crew was wonderful on that snowy day that the furniture was delivered. Then we ran into a problem. The coffee table which was part of our order was not delivered, it was not on truck. I didn't know this until the delivery truck arrived. And after speaking with the delivery supervisor on the phone I learned that the coffee table was still at the store. I immediately called Jeff at the store and explained the terrible situation we were in. After about 10 minutes on the phone Jeff told me he would pack up the coffee table and bring it to my home within an hour! You can imagine how unbelievable this was to hear. Never have I ever experienced such dedication to me as a customer in making sure I was happy with my purchase.
He pulled into my driveway 1 hour later with the table wrapped and blanketed in his car. He brought it into my house, took off his shoes because of the snow, unwrapped it, put it together, polished it (his own polish) and took away all of the wrapping and packaging within 30 minutes!! We were and continue to be thrilled with our furniture. I can't begin to tell you how fortunate you are to have Jeff as part of your team. His efforts go beyond the "buying & selling" experience. He operates at a superior customer service level.
We are so happy we shopped at Huffman Koos that day. We are even happier to know that you employ people like Jeff. It's a real credit to what Huffman Koos stands for, and that is truly superior customer satisfaction. We are telling everyone we know about Jeff and what he did for us. Soon we will be ready to purchase living room furniture. We will be back to see Jeff.

As a first time customer of this store, I have had the worst experience. If I was reading or hearing about my experience with this store and my purchases I wouldn't have believed. I walked into the freehold, NJ store of Huffman Koos with my family in July by chance to see the furniture. We liked it and even though we intended visiting Raymour and Flanigan Furniture store next door we decided to purchase our furniture with Huffman Koos, which turned out to be quite a substantial order by any standard. That was the worst mistake of my life cause as we speak all the furniture haven't been delivered and it's over 5 months now. The outcome has been a nightmare. The store delivered less furniture than we ordered and paid for. The customer service can't even resolve the issue talk less of the store. It is despicable, unprofessional and ethically wrong for any business to treat a customer that way and be this inefficient.
I am weighing my options right now, which might include suing the store for such sloppy service to get a refund of my money plus seek damages for such prolonged agony of chasing them down to find my furniture. How inefficient can any store be to deliver a bed set without night stand or a dining table without legs, and a wine bar chairs without the actual bar yet no one in the store or customer service can trace the furniture or at least explain what happened and tell me when I will receive the undelivered furniture. If this company continues this way, won't be surprised if it goes out of business soon. Am still awaiting a resolution of this nasty experience, needless to say I will never shop there or ever recommend anyone to Huffman Koos stores.

We have purchased two Beatrice Vanity and mirror with bench by Michael Amini from Huffman Koos furniture in Freehold NJ store end of September 2015. My wife and my daughter always wanted to have this glamorous Jane Seymour European style vanity. Huffman Koos delivered Vanity with broken Mirror without light bulbs, without hardware attachments and wrong vanity bench. I wanted to cancel my order but couldn't. There is no option to return the furniture back for refund either. So we kept the vanity and wrong bench and we were promised to get the mirrors and bulbs and hardware next week. It's been four month since we trying to get two complete sets that we have paid in full. We called, went back to the store to talk to manager, call customer service many, many times, reach out to warehouse, delivery company and so on. But all their promises were lies and there are nobody responsible for anything.
I asked one of the delivery people today: "Why do you come without complete sets and wasting time & fuel on the truck?" The response was: "Because Huffman Koos pays for delivery (to trucking co.) anyway. The sets come to warehouse without hardware and it's not our responsibility to check it out, we take what they give us, we come to you and then report the problem." After calling HK customer service again and waiting another hour on the phone to get some answers, we go into to the same loop for the 5th or 7th time. We will get to the bottom of the problem, we will report to management and we will call you back or you call back on Monday blah, blah, blah. Nobody calls back. We still don't have our furniture.

I bought a bedroom set a month back. It was delivered to me with the slats missing. I was told that they will bring the missing piece. I am still waiting for the piece. In the meantime I had to spend countless hours on the phone trying to get the customer support, each time I get the same answer - "They are calling the warehouse" and if I am lucky they will come back and say that the piece will be delivered to me 'next Tuesday'. They even showed up once with another wrong piece. I called them again and was told that 'Next Tuesday' is when I am going to get it. That day hasn't arrived yet and I am still sleeping on the floor. Latest update - I called them today and I was told that the order has been placed and it could take 10-12 weeks to get the missing piece. I have this unusable piece sitting in my bedroom for over a month while I sleep on the floor. Now I am told that I have to do this for another 4 months.

We have visited the Farmingdale branch many times and each time, we are met with super helpful, non pushy sales people. Bernie is the absolute best and is always willing to do anything he can to make you comfortable before completing any sale. The store manager Julio was also very helpful and more concerned with our happiness than with making a sale. I highly recommend this store! We purchased a bedroom set, a dining room set and a fireplace and every piece is beautiful and the staff is the best!

Our saleslady was very nice and although she could not guarantee delivery by Thanksgiving she assured us we should have it by Christmas. As Christmas approached I contacted the store. They tell me delivery estimate was for Jan. 2016. I was very upset since I now had no furniture in living room. The store was not helpful at all. They had a Mr. Seth ** call to help me which He did not. I don't know why he is sales manager when he is useless to customers. Huffman Koos ruined my holidays. To date I still do now know when my furniture is suppose to be delivered. I'm considering a lawsuit but waiting a little longer to see if they make good on what they failed to do. Do not buy from this furniture store. THEY ARE VERY NICE WHEN SELLING BUT LIE ABOUT DELIVERY AND TREAT YOU LIKE CRAP WHEN YOU TRY TO REACH OUT TO THEM.

So our experience was quite the roller coaster ride. It started off with what we thought was superior customer service by the assistant manager Seth as our experience ordering our furniture was more than delightful and even fun!! This was only to come to find that we were repeatedly lied to about our furniture assembly, completion and delivery date.
After recognizing that we were being told "what we wanted to hear" instead of the truth, we finally were in touch with the store manager Julio (and this was after several weeks, what a nightmare of a process it was to finally get in touch with him). Julio was a pleasure to work with and after all that was done wrong by us and the repeated lies, he very much overextended himself and went out of his way to make things right, most importantly by being honest with us with regard to our furniture's completion and delivery date. We sincerely appreciated his consideration and compassion for our situation and his eagerness to ensure he made things right by us.
After nearly 3 months after placing our order, we FINALLY received our furniture 2 days before Christmas as promised by Julio. While we were extremely frustrated and disappointed with the long wait, I must say, it was worth every bit of the extended delivery time. The quality of the furniture we received not only met our expectations based on what we ordered in the store, but it far exceeded them. We literally customized everything there was to customize about our sectional couch, double chair and double ottoman.
Because everything was customized, we had a vision of what our end product was going to be, but we're not 100% sure. We had subsequently read consumer review stating disappointment with the quality of their end product, however, that was not the case for us. When we walked in Huffman the day we placed our order we were completely blown away by the outstanding quality, craftsmanship and the beauty of their furniture selection. It took us all we had not to order for every room in our new home based on our levels of excitement of how amazing their sets were. They literally made Raymour furniture look like Bob's quality, truly in a league of their own. Our furniture was everything we envisioned it to be and so much more, we couldn't be more pleased.
Morale of the story, based on the superior quality of the furniture we will return to Huffman in the future to complete our home furnishings, but ONLY with the realistic expectation of a lengthy delivery time and most certainly ONLY through Julio. In my eyes, every other sales rep and assistant manager in that store are scam artists (we spoke to and dealt with several) and will tell you whatever it is you want to hear in order to make the sale. There is nothing worse than a liar in a professional environment. I am confident Julio and his ability to do damage control is the only reason the store remains in business.

Purchased a dining room set on Oct 10 2015 at the Freehold NJ location, with stipulation that we'd have it for Thanksgiving. Request was written on order and went ahead and ordered table, 8 chairs, China hutch and table pad along with protection plan on everything. Was given a delivery date of Nov 14 2015 for table and China hutch, chairs to come before Thanksgiving Nov 23 2015. 1) Table pads came before order damaged. Called Huffman Koos, spoke to girl about it, even sent her photos. Continued to call about this issue. Still no resolutions. 2) Table and China hutch delivered, but China hutch damaged. Called and someone came to fix it Nov 28. Man played around with screws and door but never fixed it, waiting for a second time to have someone out to fix it. 3) No chairs for Thanksgiving. Now it went from chairs being in Nov 23 to after Thanksgiving to now being in Jan 6th 2016.
I was tricked into purchasing this set. Lou made me feel assured that we would have delivery for Thanksgiving. Spoke to salesperson Diane and made me feel like she was helping with all the issues. She wasn't!!! Their customer service manager Amanda speaks to you like she doesn't care about your situation that they created. Some customer service. I just hope these people don't get treated like they treat their customers. This was a big purchase and I feel totally deceived and tricked into this purchase. NO ONE SHOULD BUY ANYTHING FROM HUFFMAN KOOS.

I ordered furniture on Sept 27. I was told it would be ready in 12-16 weeks. It is now twelve weeks so I called to check on the status. I left 5 messages with no response!!! I finally got a human yesterday and was told my furniture is on back order and not expected to be built until mid-February. I tried to talk to my salesperson. She no longer works there. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was too busy to talk to me. They will not give me my deposit back. I am heading there in person tomorrow. I'll keep you posted on how they treat me tomorrow.

I placed an order on July and it's now December and have not received the chair I ordered. I have called several times and dealt with some rude representatives, others were nice enough to follow up with me but lied when they said my chair was supposed to arrive in mid Oct, mid Nov and mid Dec. Others didn't even called me back. I have emailed customer service and was told would get it the week of the 12/14 and of course I didn't get my chair. I have emailed the representative since three times and have not gotten a response back. This has been a very disappointing experience. My family recommended this company because of their service and quality of their furniture, they regret that they did.

This was the worst experience buying furniture in my life! First they mistakenly didn't approve me for their financing. When I insisted that had to be a mistake knowing my credit scores they resubmitted, and lo and behold I was approved. I think the information was incorrectly entered the first time. Then the system issues continued and it took almost 2 hours to check out. It felt worse than buying a car. Then it took 3 separate deliveries for our sectional to be delivered with all its pieces. Each time speaking to the store, the warehouse or corporate there was a different stir, reason and apology for the problems.
Every time my husband or I spoke to someone about our complaints and concerns we were faced with incompetence and long wait times. Several times they didn't answer the phone and you couldn't get through. Other times I was on hold for an hour. When wanting to complain and get compensation there was no way to do so. I was told to call corporate who told us to complain online, that this is the only means. I caution anyone considering making a purchase from the freehold location.

There are incompetent and unsavory operatives in the furniture industry, just as in any other. This business is no exception and is probably "creme dela creme" of the lot. We bought 11k worth of furniture, all in one transaction. Wish we had read all the negative reviews before we had the misfortune of stepping into their showroom in Freehold, NJ, during a Thanksgiving holiday and nothing but headaches ever since. Their furniture is generally of good quality (better than Raymour next door), but their service is not! The business model seems to be based on falsehood and deception.
An expensive chest from a bedroom set goes missing during the first scheduled delivery and no one seems to know (or care) where the missing piece is! Numerous calls to their customer service, no satisfactory answer or explanation. A new delivery was finally scheduled for today (12/10, presumably because they had found the chest after all) and instead a store employee calls and cancels the delivery! Reason? They still cannot find the chest (apparently, they couldn't find even the imaginary one they scheduled for delivery!) So I actually took a day off from work for nothing! The person who called even had the audacity to ask whether we were sure the chest wasn't delivered the first time around!! I told her that the delivery guy himself showed us what he said was manager’s initials on paperwork acknowledging the missing piece and all she had to do was verify with the delivery company and not insult the customer!!
So when you call them, be prepared to retell your story again and again because different person answers the phone each time and has either no clue about customer complaint or sensitivity for their concerns. One of them even stated he couldn't find the item on the invoice in their system and had to locate the handwritten invoice as further proof (prepared by my sales person who isn't even a regular employee there, but likely earned all the commission anyway -- so why would anyone else care!). However, my copy of the invoice does miraculously show the item listed! He further states "If you can trust me, sir, let me hang up now and I will call you back with more info." and he never does! What a BS! Mystery of the missing chest! They will say just about anything to get you off the phone, even if it means lying and making up stuff.
And here is the worst part. We also purchased from them a living room set with a scheduled delivery of 6-8 weeks time-frame which isn't delivered yet and we are now keeping our fingers crossed! God help us! So all the nightmare above was for just a bedroom set! The only reason we received what was delivered so far (dining + bedroom sets) was because it was a floor sample and Manager Eric seemed too happy to clear the floor space, ostensibly, to make room for new inventory. I doubt if they stay long enough in this location to sell that inventory! I hope they realize how unfair and unethical they are to the law-abiding, socially responsible citizens, who spend thousands of their hard-earned dollars on them and take days off from work trusting them and taking their word!
A sad state of affairs for a famed business when the only option for most customers who lost money with them seems to go the legal route, as many online reviewers have. Sorry, long review. Actually, a footnote. We bought a $200 box spring set from Raymour next door after we purchased HK's bedroom set, and got it delivered within 3 days, with 3 unprompted calls from their end to assure that delivery was on track!! And that's customer service something these guys can learn a lot from! 11k with these upstanding folks Vs $200 with another well-run business, go figure! Shame on you, guys! If only there were laws against stupidity and incompetence! I have details of 6 different conversations with 3/4 employees regarding the missing chest over the last couple of weeks. And I have all the details and names, if anyone cares, or has good intentions and power to make a difference.
Update: 12/26, paid a visit to the store in Freehold today after a promise of "we will let you know within of 48-72 hours" 2 weeks ago from an employee never materialized (despite numerous calls and more smokescreen). Witnessed the "fine" leadership in all its glory, folks with responsibility and power hiding behind closed doors and letting the foot soldiers on the floor face customer ire, while watching all the fun!! It seemed they were instructed to shield managers and take bullets for them and claim no responsibility or knowledge when asked "Is the manager working today?" Answer: "I am not quite sure." It was only a chance conversation with an employee that revealed their presence in the store.
A female manager flatly refused to issue a refund and stated they needed another 12-14 weeks to deliver the missing chest which was apparently discontinued at HK, but somehow they still had 17 units available, but just didn't know where or when they were coming! More runaround! A senior male manager (who is higher up, apparently), while we were seated, even claimed to have just sent yet another e-mail to "corporate" to seek an update and promise of a call by 12/28. More runaround! It's funny that these guys with power can't even pick up the phone to reach people that matter, and have to e-mail instead to get an update from their own people!!!

Buying a couch from this company has been HORRIBLE. Purchased a sectional and provided them with accurate measurements. Sales rep orders us THE WRONG SIZE. It was like pulling teeth just to get them to correct THEIR mistake because it was a "special order." We reordered the couch in July because they wouldn't refund our money and it is now almost December and they still haven't delivered the correct item. Charged us 3 delivery fees, 1st to deliver the wrong product, 2nd to pick up the wrong product, 3rd to deliver the correct product. No apologies for the mistake and no compensation for having to wait months for a product.
You can't get anyone on the phone, so don't even waste your time trying to call them. I had to physically go to the store NUMEROUS times to get an answer which you never get because they just lie right to your face. Finally I visit the store AGAIN today to check the status and surprise! 4 months later your correct item was just delivered today! Yeah right, let's see if they actually deliver it next week. Never in my life would I have expected that buying a sofa would take 6 months, never in my life have I come across a company with such horrific customer service, and NEVER in my life will I shop here again.

We ordered a Natuzzi leather couch and loveseat set from Huffman Koos in December 2014. We were told to expect a 14 - 17 week delivery timeframe. We waited till May 2015 and started inquiring about our order. I have spoken with no less than 10 people from the company by phone, email and in person. We have made over 6 trips to showroom in Paramus to personally speak with the Manager Ken. Bottom line is they lost our order. By July 2015 it became obvious that they wouldn't find our furniture claimed to be lost in NC warehouse and mislabeled by Natuzzi.
I escalated this to the Sales Director Louis who assured me if we reorder he would take ownership of this custom order all the way thru delivery of this furniture. In good faith we reordered couch and loveseat. He has been totally unresponsive to numerous requests for an update on the reorder. It has now been 4 months since the reorder. An additional deposit was put on our credit card without our consent in October which we promptly disputed. I personally visited the showroom to speak with the sales manager Ken who told me since we escalated this to his boss there is nothing he could do! He was rude and totally incompetent. This company still fails to deliver after 11 months! I wouldn't buy anything from them. Worst customer service of my life. BUYER BEWARE!!!

If I could go negative I would. Beware of this furniture store. They delivered floor sample damaged furniture to me that they tried to pass off as new. Other furniture was never delivered close to the timeframe it should have been. Eventually sued Huffman Koos and won a judgement against them that they still haven't paid so now they can deal with the court as a Writ of Execution has been submitted. Beware of their policy that they want you to sign, which luckily, I did not when buying furniture. It says that if buy a special order, even if they tell you it's 3 months, that there are no returns even if it takes them 2 years to deliver it. DO NOT INITIAL THAT PART.
Just to show this is a legit post and lawsuit did take place, it was in Monmouth NJ Special Civil Part, Small Claims and docket number was **. This is also not the Huffman Koos from years ago. The name was bought when the original Huffman Koos went bankrupt by Anthony Mehran in 2005. In 2009 he plead guilty to the IRS for hiding 3.8 mm in profits from two other businesses. This is public info. Not a reputable business by any means.

When I first started looking for furniture, I read the reviews for H.K's and there were so many complaints about their Customer Service. I wasn't going to go to their stores. But after looking for weeks, I caved and went in. My salesperson was so nice and professional and they had everything I wanted. I told my salesperson that I had read the negative reviews about their Customer Service and she told me they had corrected the problem. She even brought the Store Mgr. over to reassure me.
Well the first scheduled delivery date never happened, no phone call either. I had to call and set up another date. Waited 1/2 hour being 5th in the queue. Furniture came, but couch has a defect. Service Co. came and took a look, put in request for repair. Didn't hear from H.K after a week. Called today, 11/18, #6 in queue. Waited for FIFTY minutes, then was put on hold for another ten min., then on hold again for another ten, only to be told that the District Manager would call me back. Customer Service is so important in today's world. I can't believe they don't know it. Horrible so far.

Order delivered 9/12/15. 8' china closet dangerously wobbles & leans forward (my floor is level). 130' table wobbles & cannot be used due to cracked runner. 3 chairs returned due to 1" short leg (never replaced). $300 table pad might be ready by Xmas. I want this useless set out of my house, large deposit & payments returned. I haven't been able to use my dining room in over 3 months.

Ordered a bedroom set in the Farmingdale location mid October. Was advised it would arrive Nov 14. Delivery came without the footboard. (They called to say it was damaged.) The delivery men dragged the chest on my new wood floors, scratched and put marks in them as if they were branded. After they were shown what they did they then took out a blanket to move it. The wood on the chest was damaged as well as the end table. The delivery guys also advised us that they have been only working with them for one month and all their customers have been complaining.
I would think they would be complaining about them as well since they did serious damage. It has been such a nightmare. The whole set was damaged and refused. I still have yet to receive a phone call from anyone to advise what happens next. Oh this gets better, the delivery guy told my husband to mark the furniture N/G so I would know if I got the same piece back because that is what they do. He gave me his pen to do this. My advice to all is don't order from them. Still waiting for a response. Living nightmare.

I bought furniture from the Farmingdale, NY location at the end of September. I re-did my entire bedroom, living room, and dining room from them. BEDROOM: At the time of purchase, I was told the bedroom was in stock and that I can receive it the very next delivery date. The nightmare started after that!! I ended up receiving my bedroom set in 2 wks, 5 calls to customer service and a visit to the store later. Not to mention, the items came damaged and it is now 11/06 and I am still waiting for someone to service and replace it! DINING ROOM: Finally, the dining room that I was promised mid-October has still yet to be delivered. I HAVE MADE NUMEROUS CALLS TO THE STORE (UNABLE TO REACH ANYONE), I have called the Headquarters in Passaic, NJ. I was promised from the headquarters that Manager Ariana would call me back in regards to solve this issue, still waiting... I had to go down to the store again, 1hr drive. I was promised store manager Julio ** would call me the next day to solve. It is now 2 days later and still no calls. The customer service rep told me I cannot talk to a manager because she is doing her job right!! I still don't know when I will have my furniture or money back!
Reaching someone at customer service has been a disaster. There is never anyone answering the calls and when I finally do get someone on the phone (hr later) they have no idea what is going on! I have been lied to about delivery dates, I have been lied to about managers returning calls, I have been pushed around by this company and still have no idea when they will deliver my items! Words cannot express my frustration and anger with them! I have never experienced this poorly of a service. I went to Huffman Koos in Fairfield NJ on October 9, 2015 to order furniture. I ordered a sofa, a loveseat and a armless chair on that date. I did not really understand the salesman as he was new and did not understand all he needed to know. I then checked out with 2 other gentlemen at a desk. They confirmed the order and said they would give me a date of delivery the next day. I did not get one and had to call to get one. I was told it would be delivered on October 31st (That is right, on Halloween). This must have been an omen as what happened next was neither scary nor funny. I was called on Wednesday before the delivery date by a woman who I really did not understand. She told me the furniture was in and that I would be getting a call on the day before the delivery so they could set out a block of time that it would arrive.
On Friday night (the 30th) at 6:00 pm I did not receive a call and called them to get a time. I was told that the furniture did not come in after all and they could not give me a reason other than it was not on the truck. I had to call every day for the next 5 days to find out what went wrong and to get a date of delivery. I tried to speak to the store Manager Peter but could never get him on the phone. He did return my calls but not very expeditiously.
As of the date of this writing, I still have not received my furniture. I am told it will come in on Thursday, November 12th, but I am not sure. The delivery will only be the couch and the loveseat because the armless chair was on back order (still not really sure when that will come in). I received in the mail today a discount coupon from them for $100 because of the confusion but it is only good at a Huffman Koos store and I certainly do not want to go through this again. If they were so sorry about the mix up, then they should have given me a credit against the bill for the furniture I did not receive. I hope this may help someone who is looking for furniture. Huffman Koos was always known for its good quality and customer service. I guess just like the times, things sometimes change for the worst!

I ordered a Bedroom set and mattress in September 2015 from the Queens Boulevard store which was delivered October 3rd. The set was delivered, however the rails for the bed frame and its hardware were damaged/missing, and the bed could not be assembled. I was promised that on October 24 the replacement items would arrive. On that day I get a phone call from the truck telling me that the items were not loaded onto the truck and they are not coming. ANOTHER delivery date scheduled for November 7th. This time the truck DID NOT SHOW UP at all - no courtesy phone call. I waited from 7:30 am-11:30 am. THREE FAILED ATTEMPTS AND STILL WAITING!!! I am very disgusted with the terrible delivery and warehouse management/customer service. They are destroying Huffman Koos.

Sitting here on Huffman Koos hold, been caller number 8 for the last 10 minutes. Over two years ago, actually 29 months now, I purchased several pieces of bedroom furniture: the California king-size headboard needed to be ordered and would take 6 - 8 weeks. Countless calls, them trying to set up delivery of furniture I did not order (that happened twice). I don't even remember all the absurdities that have taken place. But I can tell you that THEY STILL HAVE MY $655.00 plus tax for a headboard never received. I have been through at least four store managers (no need to bore you with the names). Latest is that I can either have the headboard (which I don't believe exists in the size ordered, but that's another story) or a store credit. How can I stress that I want no more interactions with Huffman Koos - including a store credit. One word: DON'T. Two words: NO NO. Five words: DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.

I guess this is just another scumbag company that, once they have your money, don't care what happens. No one will take responsibility in resolving this issue. On September 17, 2015 I visited the Paramus store. I purchased a queen size, full size, twin size mattress and a recliner. The queen and full size mattress was schedule for delivery the following week. I was told the store delivers on Wednesday and Thursday's and I would get a call prior to delivery to confirm. The twin size mattress and the recliner will get deliver on October 8, 2015 since the recliner was on back order and I requested the twin mattress and the recliner to get deliver at a different address than the other two mattresses. I decided to place a call on 9/24/15 because no one had call to confirm a delivery for the queen and full size mattress. I spoke with Rafael the store manager (at least that's what he said). He when around the situation and wasn't able to help or confirm a delivery and after the conversation escalated simply hung up.
I call back a few days later and talk to Crystal customer rep at the store. After a long conversation with her and explaining my frustration and dissatisfaction with the store she said she will speak with Rafael and get us a gift card as a compensation for all the trouble. She said someone will get in contact with me the following week to confirm delivery of the two mattress. I received two automated calls on 10/05/15. One to confirm the delivery of the two mattress and the second delivery of the mattress and recliner. On 10/7/15 I spoke with Melissa and she had called to confirm the delivery of the twin mattress and the recliner schedule for delivery on 10/09/15 between 4pm-8pm. She also left me a voicemail with the delivery information.
On 10/09/15 I get a call from the driver stating that he was a few minutes away from the house to deliver a queen size and full-size mattress. I asked him about the second order and he said there's is no delivery schedule for that but it might just mean that there is another truck schedule to deliver it. I said ok. I left my job early to make sure that I will be there when they deliver the recliner and twin size mattress. At 6:50 I call Huffman Koos in Paramus to find out what is going on because it's almost the end of the day and the delivery hasn't happen. Crystal stated there is no delivery schedule for my house that it was reschedule for 10/22/15. As you can imagine I'm already mad.
After going back and forth with Crystal and her calling me a liar because she confirmed with Melissa and was told that she never talked to me about the delivery of the recliner she had talked to me about the first delivery not the second. I told her I have a voicemail that proves what I'm saying. Crystal then said, "Well there's nothing I can do. Here is schedule for the 22nd and that's the best I can do. I will have Rafael call you back". The first delivery was delivers on 10/09/15. After 30 minutes I get a call from Rafael, he obviously admitted that there's been a confusion with the two deliveries. I was on the phone for an hour and I told Rafael that if I have to wait until the 22nd I rather cancel my order.
I've already been dealing with their lack of customer service and was not going to deal with it any longer. Rafael said he will handle my order going forward and to give him until Monday to get back to me and that he will send me a give card for $400 for all the trouble. He was suppose to bet back to me on 10/12/15 but he never called. I decided to call him back on 10/13/15 and his excused was that he took a sick day because he wasn't felling well. He was unable to do much and that the delivery was still schedule for the 22nd. I said to him just cancel the order because I wasn't going to have my son wait any longer for his mattress. He said, "Wait the mattress is at the warehouse. That's not the problem. I could've deliver it last week if you would've said it".
At this point I was like, "Seriously, Rafael?". He said,"I will deliver the mattress on 10/15/15 and the recliner on 10/22/15". I said, "Find just make sure the delivery happens this time". He said it will since he is the one handling the account. Of course is 10/25/15 and I'm still waiting for the mattress and the recliner. I have left multiple messages to Rafael and he hasn't call back. I've call the corporate office to file a complaint and left many messages and no one has call back.
I spoke with the customer service manager at the freehold store on 10/21/15 and told her everything that happen and she assure me that she will email her manager and he will make sure someone calls me back. She also said that my items are not schedule to deliver on the 22 nd. Of course no one has call back and I haven't been able to cancel my order but I got in the mail an invoice for the first delivery that doesn't even match the receipt that I was given at the store. At this point I don't know what to do. So unhappy and frustrated with this situation.
UPDATED ON 01/28/2016: So this is just a follow up on my review from Oct 2015. It is the end of Jan 2016 and I haven't heard from anyone yet. I ended up disputing the charges on my credit card in order to obtain back my deposit. I've reached out to Rafael a couple of times, left him messages with other associates asking for a call back; he doesn't pick up my calls when I call. The associates stated that they give him my name and number but he hasn't taken the time to call me back. Not even upper management have made an attempt to reach out to me and find out what is going on.
All I was asking for at this point is a refund of my deposit. I am going back and forth with my credit card company because Huffman Koos is appealing my dispute stating that they have a 72 hrs cancellation policy. As I told my credit card company why would I've cancel my order when it was schedule for delivery on 10/08/15 almost a month after the purchase date and it never happen. Makes no sense.

I ordered a living room set. The 1st delivery bring up the chair and loveseat. The movers damage the furniture and walls, ceiling and door. I was told to sent pictures to Diana of the damages. I was told that the damages will be covered. 2nd delivery the driver refused to take the furniture in the house, bc they called the office and we're told they will not remove them. I spoke to Amanda and informed me that I could not cancel the order. After I left several message. Oct. 11, we go Freehold, NJ to get a refund and still waiting. We submit the estimate of the repairs. We were told they will get in touch Wednesday, Oct 14, 2015.

So far have placed an order for a couch (9/20/2015). The color of the couch was ordered to match the color of the floor sample according to Carol, the color is Bela Nile. No sample swatches available. She promised to order a swatch but did not fulfill her promise. I tried to reach the store to order a swatch. It is IMPOSSIBLE to reach a person in the store because the service that answers in another location pretends to know that the people you wish to speak with are in a meeting. I went in person and spoke with Manager Julio ** who confirmed that the phone systems are not working properly. He ordered a swatch for me. The swatch I received two weeks later is NOT the same color but is the same name as the floor sample. I am on my way in today to see if this can be resolved because, I again, cannot reach anyone by phone.

We ordered a custom-made couch and loveseat on July 3, 2015 in the Freehold, N.J. store. We were told it would take 6 - 9 weeks to make both the pieces. The couch and loveseat that were being replaced were gotten rid of around the middle of August. At 9 weeks, we went into the store to try to find out when the furniture would be delivered. We were told that the furniture was not even made because they didn't have the name of the material for one of the loose, decorative pillows for the couch. They never notified us or called us to see if we knew the name of the color. We were told we would be called in a day or two to let us know when we could expect the furniture. Nobody called.
We then went back to the store and was told that the furniture was made and that they would advise us in the next couple of days when we could expect delivery. When we didn't hear from them again, we called and again we were told that the furniture was not made. The story kept flipping back and forth between the furniture being made and not being made. At this point, Sept.12th, we demanded our deposit back and cancelled the order. This has terribly inconvenienced us as we now have nothing to sit on in our family room and it is twelve weeks since we have initially ordered the furniture.

The worst shopping experience ever. They lie about delivery dates, warranties etc. I WAS NEVER TOLD OF MISSING PARTS UNTIL THEY WERE ABOUT TO DELIVER MY ORDER. They just want your money. Absolutely no customer service. They never answer the phone and getting in touch is a nightmare. On top of it all their salesman are trained to say anything to get a sale and are indeed very stupid. My husband and I purchased a dining room set for our new house. We were told it was going to be delivered in 4-6 weeks. After 8 weeks, I finally contacted customer service to see what was going on, and after 50 minutes on the phone I finally talk to someone, who stated our furniture was in and ready for delivery. I started wondering if I hadn't called would anyone have called me but whatever. So delivery was set up. The table and chairs come, no problem. However, there is no hardware to put the table together AND there was a crack underneath the table. I refused delivery.
Four weeks later and still no call about our table, I get the first bill in the mail for our dining room set. At this time, I am ready to cancel the entire purchase. I contacted customer service and after AN HOUR AND A HALF on hold, I finally talk to someone and they stated the table was in. Now I am wondering how long was the table sitting there. Delivery scheduled for today. Well table comes with so many cracks. It was unbelievable, which they tried to cover up with a black permanent marker. I refused delivery again!!! The delivery men were pissed at that point and tried to talk me into keeping the table until another one can be delivered, which I told them "absolutely not." I will be canceling this purchase. DO NOT BUY from this place!

Never deal with such horrific customer service. Ordered a dining room set, buffet server and fireplace in May and we are still missing the buffet server and chairs. The items did not make the delivery truck during three separate scheduled and confirmed delivery dates. We keep getting a different story about where our remaining items are each time we are finally able to reach anyone at the store/company.
Eric, manager at the Freehold location, said he would personally handle our delivery issues and asked us to call him on a specific day to resolve the problem. We were never able to get a hold him and he refused to speak with us. We actually heard him in the background telling the receptionist to tell us that there is nothing they could do. At least he could have taken the call and told me himself. Jessica has been the most helpful and responsive. I've even written emails to corporate and still have not received a response. We have our missing furniture scheduled to come in by October 10th (five months after I placed the order) but I do not have the confidence that this will be the case. The way this company treats their customers is absolutely shameful and I will be sure to tell anyone I know not ever buy from here.

Eli **, the GM, was assisting the sales rep who was helping us find living room furniture, Daniel **. Eli was a bit pushy and occasionally gave us incorrect information that we called him out on (after having been given correct information by Daniel). It was obvious he wanted to make a sale, so Eli was helpful with offering us deals. He was accommodating and kept the store open late while we decided on our purchase.

Daniel ** was honest, patient, and very helpful with our search for living room furniture. The very best part was that he was not at all pushy and it was very obvious that he wanted us to be comfortable with our purchase; he wasn't just out to make a commission. He was thoughtful with all of our inquiries, and would double check his information if he was unsure about something instead of just blurting out what he thought we wanted to hear. We wound up purchasing a sofa and love seat we are very pleased with and are looking forward to going back to purchase more furniture from Daniel in the future.

I ordered a sectional in May 2015. It was delivered 8 weeks later. The recliners do not open properly. When attached the sections do Not Align. 3 inch difference. The Cocktail Table was never delivered. We were promised delivered of the cocktail table 5 times. It was never delivered. I filed a Better Business complaint and the Store never responded. I am paying for a sectional that doesn't work or align properly. Now when we call they don't know us. Go somewhere else to buy.

I visited Huffman Koos several times trying to create the perfect sectional for my den. Once I finally decided on exactly what I wanted, the final price was more than what I expected. I was disappoint and figured I was going to settle for less than what I really wanted. After working with Gus, Bill and their manager Julio they were able to get me exactly what I wanted for a price that I was comfortable with. Thank you guys... great job. I'LL ADJUST THE NUMBER OF STARS THAT I GAVE AFTER I RECEIVE MY NEW FURNITURE! But so far it has been a pleasure dealing with the staff. We needed a new couch and recliner. I was feeling frustrated. After spending hours at another store we walked into Huffman Koos. We were immediately approached by Sam **. He listened to what we wanted. He showed us 4 or 5 different sets. The manager of the store, Daniel **, joined us. Since I have not received my couch and chair as of yet, I feel it wouldn't be right to sum up my total experience there. We ordered a sofa from Huffman Koos on July 5th, 2015. Since then, we have been given 4 delivery dates and every time there is another excuse. First, it didn't make it on the truck. Next, the trucking company was doing inventory. The third time, one of the pieces was still in South Carolina. And last, when I wanted my deposit back, I was guaranteed it was coming. But of course they went back to their first excuse, "it didn't make it on the truck." I gave away my sofa, had to push back a party and finally had my party with no sofa because I couldn't put it off any longer. All I wanted was the truth and I feel they have not been forthcoming with me.

Placed an order for living room furniture on May 3, 2015. Was told 6 to 8 weeks for delivery translating to June 14 to June 21. It's not what is. 14 or 15 weeks later still no furniture delivery. When I was finally able to get through to customer service I was it would be another four weeks which is exactly what they said five weeks ago when I called looking for my furniture. Customer service work so if the same script and puts their customers away for another four weeks every time you call.

We give the store $2900 and you cannot get anyone to answer the phone! I was 6th in the cue for customer service, waited 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 only to have the automated guy say "no one's here. leave a message!!!" Did that twice. After 5 hours of dialing someone answered but she said she was from Farmingdale. I said "can I please have a number to freehold?" She said no. She said "I will email the manager." I said "can I have his email?" She said no! I said "what's his name?" Come to find out the name given was someone who no longer worked there! Finally they sent a text saying the couch would be here July 30. Comes and goes. NO COUCH!
I finally get a manager on the phone who says now it's August 8th... he will work on getting me a loaner couch for the affair and he would call back. Never called. 75 people at my house and empty family room!!! And no consideration of a call!! IT'S AUGUST 6th and no couch! They said August 8th... Horrible. Horrible. NEVER WILL I BUY ANOTHER THING FROM THIS COMPANY!

I purchased an Ontario sectional back in the beginning of January of this year and have not since received it. The estimated delivery date has since come and gone as each updated delivery time frame has been the same - no sofa delivery. The new proposed date is 08/18/2015. The salesman offered to waive the delivery charge. Although this is some compensation I do not feel it's enough as I've been without a sofa for 8 months. The situation is not allowing me to enjoy my new house and entertain. I'm also uncertain of the new scheduled delivery date. I wish to be compensated monetarily beyond the delivery charge.
In addition to the sectional, I purchased a Dimplex fireplace weeks after. The fireplace was delivered but there was damage hidden with some touchup paint. I've been dealing with Janet ** on this problem, but the proposed delivery date this past July has been updated to 08/17/2015. I wish to receive compensation for all of the combined delivery issues. Ultimately I just want my furniture as it's been an extraordinarily long and frustrating process with your company. I feel I have been more than patient and I now realize after reading many online reviews that this seems to be the norm. Any help and guidance would be appreciated.

BUYER BEWARE! Sales people fine. Any Customer Service ended when sofa, chair & coffee table were purchased. 1st Delivery, driver & helper could not get it in, did not take much time trying. Took it back out. Next delivery attempted today, however only sofa was on the truck not the chair and end table. We were also informed by the driver today that they do NOT take doors off. WHY is that? Any furniture company should know that could be a possibility. Where is my chair and end table? So since April's purchase still no furniture. Huffman Koos, if they are to keep customers, will need to evaluate the experience and know how of their delivery people. Also they need to speak English so the customers can communicate.
NEVER, NEVER AGAIN with Huffman Koos. The Dispatcher, Janet, has been polite, apologetic but we need to get our furniture here altogether with the possibility of having a door taken off and in one piece and perfect condition. That now is debatable. Huffman Koos only gives store credit. Why would I go back to a store to potentially purchase other furniture to end up frustrated and angry again. Too old to go through this but now do we have another alternative? Certainly we cannot take the chance of losing our money, which was thousands of dollars. Two seniors maddened by this experience.

Purchase a motion sofa set 1/19/2015. Received the set 5/9/15 with a missing power pack for the recliner. Call Huffman Koos. Customer service department stated the power pack delivery date 6/29/15. Still no power pack. Called 4 times - spoken with Janice twice then Sam, Shanon and my last person Mary. Paying for a set that we can't use the Recliner.

Both associates who assisted with me with the sale were professional and polite. The delivery men were also professional and polite. I did not give the highest rating because I was not offered the free three piece rug set which was offered in the 4th of July sale, which had been extended to include the day of my purchase. I called customer service, and the phone associate assured me I was entitled to the set, and should go to the store to get it. I told her what day I would be there.
When I went, there were none in the store. I was told I would be able to have the set delivered free, as I had already paid to have the sleeper sofa delivered. I have had to initiate every conversation since then, and still do not have the rug set. I spoke with a pleasant phone representative today, who assured me she would check on it and get back to me. I have not, as of 10PM today, received a return call. It is over three weeks. I can not consider that high quality customer service, especially since over a week can pass with no one contacting me. I hope I am not being taken advantage of. I hope I will receive the set, but as time goes on, and no one reaches out to me, I have my doubts.

Huffman Koos delivered an old, dirty, used, damaged sofa to me! (I have pictures to prove it.) I was suspicious when I didn't see any plastic or packaging when they took it off the truck, just blankets thrown over it. When the drivers brought it in my house and took the blankets off the damage was obvious. I couldn't believe they would have the nerve to deliver an old piece of furniture which must have been on display in one of their stores. Old, dirty, and damaged! Naturally I refused delivery and Jolene, the delivery manager promised they would send another "new" one. I spent the entire day and night waiting. I was told they would arrive between 9:15 AM to 1:15 PM for the first delivery which arrived at 1:30 which I refused because of the sofa's condition.
The second delivery which Jolene said she added to another truck would be at my house between 3 pm and 9 pm. At 7 PM last night, I called to confirm they were coming and was told it would now be at my house at 10 PM because of traffic. I told her that since I wasted my entire day and night, he better be there. I never received a delivery or the courtesy of a phone call. I have made several calls yesterday to the store trying to speak with my salesman. You can't get through. It is a centralized CALL CENTER with nasty people who will not reveal their last names so you can document you spoke with someone. You will never be able to talk to your salesman again. It is the worst experience I have ever had. I only wish I read the YELP reviews first! Save yourself grief. Buy from a reputable company, or one that you can speak to the salesperson. Do not buy from this company, you will regret it as I do.

As I walked in to the store Victor was the only one to greet me and treat me like a valued customer while all I got was stares from other associates. I felt that the color of my skin was the reason why I got ignored and treated like my money didn't matter. Victor's expertise, attention to details, and excellent customer service skills are qualities that persuaded me to buy the furniture. If it wasn't for him, I would have left because of how uncomfortable the other associate made me feel about my race. This should change immediately. Or you can lose more than you think.

We ordered a living room set and an entertainment unit from Huffman Koos. Not only did we wait 15 weeks for our furniture and missed 2 special occasions we needed the furniture for, but when it finally came Our entertainment unit came damaged! Our love seat not only has the back leg bent but it's also the wrong color and it doesn't match our sofa! The pillow that we had customs made don't match our sofa pillows too! We have made numerous phone calls and emails, but we have yet to hear back from Janet **! It saddens me to think that such a big company like Huffman Koos would do this to his loyal customers!

We were so pleased to work with Ricky ** in the Paramus store. My mom is getting ready to move into assisted living... I went initially by myself to see what might work for her new apartment. I met Ricky and he pointed me in the right direction and assured me that I could work with them on pricing. I brought mom back the next day and Ricky went above and beyond to help her make the best decisions... He even carried a 50-lb chair close to the elevator so she didn't have to walk to the back of the store to see it!! Never did we feel pressure and Ricky's patience with a senior citizen was 2nd to none!!
