I have worked with Derek and his team 3 times - original home purchase, refi and HELOC. Always professional, timely, courteous, accurate and just way above board!! You can tell Derek and his team really care about customer service and they strive to and actually make it a reality. I always feel valued as a customer and well cared for.

We were on a tighter timeline to close our new home purchase sooner than the standard timeframe. We select First Internet Bank because they offered the best interest to us. But our loan process was even more pleasant. The loan officer and the loan processor were very quick with their work and explained things properly to us and answered our questions promptly. They made it happen well within our timelines despite holidays being in-between. Very pleased with the quality of service we received from First Internet Bank.

Nikko at First Internet Bank was great and responsive throughout the whole process. There’s not anything I was guessing about through the whole process and communication was always quick. Would no doubt use him again, and had no problems with FIB. Everyone from Nikko to loan processor to closing specialist were very easy to work with and very kind. No regrets with going with them.

First Internet Bank gave us the best rates out of 8 different companies me and my wife talked with. At first we thought it was too good to be true but in the end we were able to get a 2.375% Interest rate on a 30 year term. No other company would come even close. I was extremely impressed with how efficient the process was with no hidden fees!

First Internet Bank (FIB) was great! My loan officer Gary ** was friendly, very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. I first spoke to him on 10/27/2021 and closed on my refi loan on 12/13/2021 (47 days later!!). Gary & FIB were fast and efficient unlike my NewRez my mortgage holder at the time. I had been working with NewRez on a refi application and almost a year later they could not bring me to closing which is why I ended up applying with FIB. I highly recommend First Internet Bank!

First Internet handled everything. They didn't pass me around to other companies with different expectations and patterns of communication. Their site was very easy to use. They fulfilled all of the promises and were very pleasant to work with.

My only criticism of First Internet is that their internal people aren't as quick to respond or as patient as Ray. Even though my refinancing has been completed, I am still getting notifications from their internal people asking me for additional information or to do additional tasks.

I've been using First IB for at least 15 years for personal banking and have always been happy with their customer service and banking. We recently refinanced our mortgage and after calling 4 places, called Kathy ** at First Internet Bank and received the most competitive rate. Working through the process took a lot of time (as it would with any firm) but the computer system was helpful to take me through every step and highlighting any outstanding tasks. Any questions that I had were answered with a quick response to my inquiry by Kathy ** who is professional while being very friendly. The process from start to finish was great and I am saving almost $400 per month on my mortgage.

My Realtor was hesitant when I wanted to use First Internet Bank, since he never heard of it, but they were easier to work with than the local bank and mortgage broker, and beat the closing estimate date by 2 weeks. Mortgage Refinance Loan. First Internet Bank and Gary ** made this experience very easy. Gary was very professional, handled details promptly, provided forms online, and had great communications. This was particularly important during the COVID-19 times.

Successful Refinancing. Our mortgage officer was always available when we had questions or needed an explanation of the process, and kept everything moving smoothly. First Internet did a great job of controlling the other closing costs to the transaction and making it as seamless and convenient for us as possible.

Closing Out IRA CDs. I purchased 2 separate IRA Certificates of Deposit in February of 2017 from First Internet Bank of Indiana. Both IRA CDs have a maturity date of February 6, 2021, and pay 2.20% annual interest. The accounts were made opened online with checks sent by mail. On February 26, 2020, I received a letter (sent by email) stating that they would no longer offer IRA Certificates of Deposit and that the funds from current CDs could be transferred or withdrawn without early withdrawal penalty.

Very professional, always received a response in a timely manner, best of all loan closed on time! We will definitely recommend your services to anyone looking for a mortgage. The whole process went very smoothly.

Considering how busy most mortgage outfits are these days Chris was very responsive and detailed replying to all my questions and need of explanation to certain process steps. He took his personal time to respond to my inquires without hesitation. Chris should be considered a valued resource to FIB as my experience with other mortgage companies was not as responsive which made my decision to stay with FIB solid. FIB Mortgage Process could you some fine tuning but I would recommend to others based on my experience with Chris.

I had a great experience working with First Internet bank which was also recommended to me by my relative. I did 2 refinance transactions with them and I could say it went smoothly. Great attention from the team to get both transactions completed and to get me the best rate possible.

Compared to other bank accounts, these guys will make you sign your life away signing document after document. I was attracted to this bank due to their high savings interest rates for businesses, but once the bank account is open you will find that you cannot ACH into the account without signing "more" documents. Then that process takes numerous emails back and forth. I finally gave up because I started to worry about if this was a sign for the future and the continued difficulty I would have with them.

First Internet Bank did a great job with my refi! They beat my current mortgage holder's interest rate and fees. Explanations of everything were very much appreciated & easy to understand. It was a fast and painless process. Just wish they would be servicing my mortgage.

Stay as safe far away from this ripoff bank as you can. The interest rate won’t make up for all the fees they will kill you with. They charge you $5 for every bank transfer out of your account. Most accounts won’t even make that back in interest over a year. Instead of denying a transfer if you don’t have sufficient funds for that transfer, they charge you $30, then advise you that there are sufficient funds. This bank is a total ripoff. Stay away. You have been warned!!!

Working with Grant was a pleasurable experience, particularly because the document review and underwriting was more complex than the typical loan. Grant understood my requirements and worked to be proactive in ensuring the loan would close just in time to keep the rate lock. Overall a positive experience.

When I had some questions she would get right back to me and helped me in a very professional manner. The loan process went very smoothly and I was kept informed of the status of my load throughout. I liked the system they have to gather loan documents, get it through underwriting, and get it to closing. I would recommend them again for any refinance and think they have some of the best rates out there.

After a lot of paperwork and multiple documents sent back and forth, I finally opened up a Business Savings Account a year ago with First Internet Bank and funded the account consistently every month with normal deposit amounts ($10k per month). Scott ** and his team were great. Scott began by helping me choose the best mortgage for my needs. After that we fill ed out all the paperwork electronically which made it very easy. Within 6 weeks a notary was sent to our home and we sat with her for an hour to sign the final papers. That was it! It really could not have been any easier. It was a great experience and I would not hesitate to work with them again.

I used F.I.B to refinance my home. The interest rates were competitive and I particularly enjoyed working with Destiny **, loan officer. She was timely in responding to me and was happy to answer all my questions (which I had quite a few since this was my first refi). Overall, it was a positive experience and will look at using F.I.B in the future if we need another loan.

Working with First Internet Bank was convenient and easy. They had a knowledgeable staff, all paperwork was online, and the closing met at our preferred location. Rates seem to be the lowest because they don’t have to pay for a bank on every street corner. This is the future of banking in my mind.

I enjoyed working with Max and team. Everyone at FIB helped to make the transaction smooth. The electronic document signing and upload tool was easy. The only issue I have is with my (post) closing, and it's the responsibility of the closing agent who is not FIB, we closed two weeks ago and I have yet to receive my packet with all signed documents/disclosures.

Mike was great to support my home purchase. The loan procedure was very fast, but there was a some annoying last-minute requests from the underwriter. But Mike was very helpful and responsible for my mortgage procedure.

Some of the numbers were incorrect on the loan and they kept changing drastically. It was really hard to follow. My loan officer was also not easy to get in contact with at first. I think the most frustrating part was when he told me everything was done and then I needed to complete 15 more steps. There was a lot of back and forth and I didn't appreciate it.

Joey ** worked very hard to provide the most competitive price and earn my business. He was prompt in returning all of my e-mails and phone calls. Overall, I am very satisfied with his service and my mortgage. It was clearly important to him that the complicated process of applying for a mortgage be as easy as possible for me. I read a bunch of reviews of FIB and they seem to generally be about home loans. So, good job on home loans. But atrocious on business banking. I signed up my small business with FIB because they paid interest on checking and money market business accounts. The process was very manual including lots of back and forth by email. In short, a very un-Internet experience. Ironic given the bank name. That should have been a warning. Once I had over $100k in the bank, I went to pay some of my contractors and discovered that I had a $25k per month ACH limit. I can't live with that. So I can't live with FIB. Additionally, the whole site feels very early internet. I opened an account with Azlo. It was very smooth and fast. Their site looks great and performs well.

This was the easiest transaction I have gone thru for a home loan. The hardest part was figuring how to get copies of the required documents into the computer as I am not overly computer savvy. It was a happy challenge.

In over 40 years of practicing law, and in owning 7 homes, some with multiple financings, I have dealt with many mortgage brokers and those in similar positions. I loved how easy it was to submit documents right from my iPhone. Also being able to communicate via text and emails. If I had a question, it was easily answered within minutes. After shopping around with different bank institutions for new mortgages, comparing rates and fees, I was left with no other option but to look online. Had two previous refinances with First Internet Bank and this was our first new purchase experience. The loan process with First Internet was good. Our loan officer Scott on all three occasions was awesome. When I informed my attorney who the bank was, he was concerned that it was an online bank. I assured him we worked with Scott on previous refinances and everything will work out fine. Greg did a wonderful job of keeping in contact with me throughout the process. Although not expected, he would even respond to my emails late in the evening. The only area of improvement I would recommend is communication with the closer. A closer was assigned to me after the loan was clear to close but the closer never stayed in touch with me. I emailed Greg and he provided and instructed what I needed to meet our closing date. Thank you.

FIB management made it clear that they did not want me as a customer. In January, I received "pre-approval." Nothing changed about my financial position between January and May. In fact, my annual income was ahead of projections through May. We scheduled a closing 30-days out. As we approached closing, I was told that management still needed to approve my loan, which was a surprise given the pre-approval and above purchase appraisal. Apparently, Mike ** - and some others inside the bank with whom I have worked on the commercial side - had to lobby management heavily to provide final approval.

I worked with Chris ** to complete a cash out refinancing with FIB and was extremely pleased with the overall experience. Chris helped to streamline and simplify the typically cumbersome process and this is the second time FIB has refinanced my mortgage loan so I am a returning customer. Chris made things simple and kept the process rolling along smoothly. Three things stand out with the FIB experience. First, FIB finds competitive loan rates for its customers. Second, it operates transparently and does not attempt to exploit applicants with onerous points and hidden fees. Third, once a loan is approved by the underwriters, FIB is impressively fast from start to finish so the loan process does not drag on and languish in limbo.

I've taken out several mortgages and refinances within the last decade and this was by far the easiest. Other than the in-person appraisal, everything was done electronically up until closing. Documents were digitally uploaded or accounts were linked to their online system. When the appraisal came in higher than expected, they made a quick modification to increase the cash-out of the loan without penalty nor restarting the process. The entire loan process, to closure, was completed in less than a month. I couldn't be happier.
