    When I tried to set up my automatic payments, I kept getting the message, "We're not able to set up automatic payments." It was frustrating. That was the only thing that I didn't like. Otherwise, I got funded and they responded to me very fast in a good way. I appreciate their website interface that allows me to see my amortization schedule. If I add in an extra thousand or a few thousand dollars in payment, then it redoes my amortization schedule right there, and I appreciate that very much.     Amerisave was phenomenal. There was nothing that I asked that wasn't answered. They were patient. It was my first time doing a cash-out refinance and had a lot of questions.     I had used AmeriSave in the past. I was trying to get financed. At first, I had to work on my debt to ratio income. Then when I was ready, I got my debt fixed. Then I just went back to AmeriSave because they were working with me and they had great customer service. I went with a VA loan. The loan application was fairly easy. It was all done through the phone, so it was a simple process. I went through the prequalification steps. Then I provided all of the documents associated with that. I got prequalified for a certain amount, but the home that I was looking for was at a higher value, so I went back and then I made some more moves as far as paying off a bill or two. I talked to my loan originator and he was able to extend that loan amount for me.

    The only thing is they wanted bank statements and then they needed to verify where I got the funds from, and I provided those documents, but at that time, I did not know exactly why they wanted to trace down the money process. Other than that, I didn't have any issues with my customer support. Matt and Evie were great. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. I had a lot of questions and they answered all of them. They were straight to the point. Overall, my wellbeing is better. I feel like everything is coming in place for me. I'm in my dream home right now.

    Chris from AmeriSave broke everything down for me and we tackled it one step at a time. First I applied and got the pre-approval, then I looked at houses with the pre-qualification letter. When I found the house I wanted, I spoke with AmeriSave again, then we started dealing with the underwriters and sending them everything they needed to get it finalized. From the time I talked to AmeriSave until I closed on the house, it was 30 days, but I was approved well before then. I was doing so much stuff jumping through so many hoops, but it was a great experience. I was really scared about my first home purchase at first, but they put me at ease.

    AmeriSave got a high score on customer satisfaction and the interest rates were good, too. Working with them was really great. They were quick to respond, at least our rep and then his underwriter, and we had a really good experience. Everything, being online, was really efficient. It was good for us because we did DocuSigns and things that made the whole experience fast and easy. The loan processor was really good. We directed questions to her, and then she responded usually within minutes.

    The only thing is they said they could close in two weeks. It ended up taking over a month. They could have done more explanation of why. We had to go through paperwork. Then sometimes it would be the weekend, so we had to wait a little bit for the person to process papers. In great cases, it could take two weeks. Maybe if it was explained better that we have to do all of these things and get all of these things, then the two weeks is different than four weeks. They would come up with different forms or different things they needed from us. So, that delayed the process.

    It was a back and forth of getting what they needed. Sometimes, it was on our side. I'd be at work. I'd be in meetings. I couldn't answer the call or see what they wanted until I was out of the meeting. Overall, when it was all said and done, we got funded. The rates were very competitive and even lower than some other institutions. If you're looking for something quick and great customer service, then check out AmeriSave.

    The process was very easy overall. It was all quick. But I didn't get a really good detail of what all the fees were and what they were for. From the very beginning, I asked about the fees and the rep told me, "What fees?" Then there was $7,000 worth of fees. Other than that, he was very good and responsive. The rates and terms were good. They kept trying to give us escrow and we kept saying, "No, we're gonna pay taxes and insurance ourselves." That was the only thing that kept popping up on the documents.

    AmeriSave’s rep took the time to explain thoroughly to both my wife and me the paperwork and process for signing documents, as well as the terms and details of the loan, making it very easy for us to feel comfortable signing off on everything. They went above and beyond. The application process being online, was very user-friendly, and easy to navigate and use. The descriptions of items that we needed to provide as well as what we needed to complete made sense. I've used other products before where it may not be quite as clear what they're needing you to do. AmeriSave's made sense and made it very intuitive to somebody who may not have a true finance background.

    The application and underwriting process was a lengthy process not because of AmeriSave but because the nature of that transaction seems to be lengthy. It took three weeks from the first discussion to close, which seems to be very quick. It went very smoothly and a lot of it had to do with having the same person assigned to us the whole way through who was making sure we were getting what we needed. And that helped as well. That personal concierge level of service made it easy to navigate and complete.

    The communication was very professional and friendly. They did a good job of communicating things in a way that you can understand them easily. Even when there wasn't necessarily a step that we needed to complete, they were still checking in. They were letting us know where things stood. So we weren't sitting there wondering what was happening and what was next. People should look at all their options. But AmeriSave is a good one to consider.

    AmeriSave was able to not only match but beat the rate from Rocket. I worked with Drew over at AmeriSave and he was excellent. I applied for a basic 30-year FHA and everything I did was online, so it was easy providing the information to the mortgage broker. Drew walked me through what they needed and he was very attentive in taking care of what I needed to provide and questioning items that came up. He was also very responsive and if I called him, he would answer his phone on the weekends even if he was with family.

    The application to get pre-approved took a couple of days, then when it came to the process of underwriting, I got a preapproval prior to underwriting and then a preapproval post underwriting that verified everything. So, it showed the verify approval and that took about a week, which wasn't that long. I was buying a brand-new home, so my problem was more or less trying to get the information from the builder, not AmeriSave. AmeriSave was doing everything they could to communicate and work with the builder to get everything. Also, the terms of the loan were what I needed and they were willing to work what I needed to.     AmeriSave Mortgage was very good to work with. I worked with them because they had the lowest rate. Also, they were upfront with everything. They told me what was going on, kept me informed all the time. They closed it quickly and just as they said they would. After it was closed, they almost immediately sold the mortgage, which meant that I didn't even pay my first payment directly to them because it has been sold a couple of times already.

    I had one person at first, Russell, that handled the application process. And once I was approved, I had Amy who handled everything else. If I needed to call them about something, if I sent a text message or called, they answered immediately or answered a text message within a few minutes. Going rates were 6% up to 7%. And I closed it at 5.75. I'm satisfied.

    We talked with the agent that we contacted, and he was easy to get along and work with. Down to earth. Also, he quickly got me answers. AmeriSave's automated process keeps sending out bogus requests for information, and they need to improve that. They asked for information that wasn't due and was unavailable at the time. And since this process took months because of the contingencies on the contract, I got inundated three times a week. Also, the rate is high, because we still own another house that we're trying to sell, and we had to go with a less of a down payment. We only put 20% down. And we had to go with a longer term. So, our rate is higher than we'd like. But as soon as we sell the other house, we will refinance and get it back to what we want. Other than that, I'd recommend AmeriSave Mortgage.

    AmeriSave Mortgage seemed to have the best option. They gave me a fantastic rate of interest. I spoke to a representative and he helped me through the process to say, “This is the rate of interest being offered. And with this much down payment, this is what it's gonna work out to.” The application process took 48. While I'm thankful for them to give me a rate of interest that was competitive, the experience has not been great. To try and get in touch with them has been a pain. I kept calling them. They refuse to answer. My first payment is due in April. “Please, can someone help set it up?” But no one is helping. I spoke to one person. And she said, “Your loan number has now been updated. Here's the email. You need to just click on that link and set it up.” The old loan number doesn't exist. I'm not able to set up a payment. And I've been telling them that I'm leaving the country in April. But nope.

    While on one side, they will help out, on the other side, they will shut themselves off. I had a terrible experience with them even during my closing. They refused to go ahead. And on the closing document, I kept telling them, “The amounts that you mentioned are all wrong. I don't have too much of property tax. You’ve gone ahead and mentioned over there that I need to be paying homeowners insurance, wherein I've already paid a year's homeowner insurance or whatever.” Despite following up with them for almost 15 days, that didn't get changed until the last day.

    The guy, Michael, that I dealt with was very knowledgeable and was able to get things through fast like I wanted. He was very knowledgeable on what he was doing. He tailored everything to what I wanted. The percentage wasn't the greatest but the economy is not the greatest either.     AmeriSave used some kind of online appraisal thing and I liked it. It was a little hard navigating their website but they had great customer service. I did a HELOC and I had the initial approval with the first application. And the process was very simple and straight to the point. I felt really comfortable with the rep I had and the rate was a little bit higher than other people I've talked to, but only at half a percent. They sold my loan out and I got to send my payment to the person that bought it. So, I had to set up an account with the company. It wasn't a hard process, but I had to change the payment setup.

    I got a call from Eric, my loan person at AmeriSave and he really talked me through the process. I was impressed with his kindness and patience. I asked a lot of questions and he happily responded to all of them. The online application was mostly done by Eric. He filled in most of the blanks for me, so I didn't have to do it. Then, he connected me with the loan processor who got in touch with me twice a week, telling me everything that was going on, where everything was, and the items that were still outstanding. I received text messages asking me to check on things and to open and view the latest closing statements. Once everything was there, the closing was scheduled immediately. They came to my home and we signed the paperwork. The entire thing was done in three to four weeks and I was comfortable with through it.

    The minimum amount I could go was 30,000 and I really didn't want to borrow that much, but that was the minimum amount they would let me borrow. The interest rates are high, but it is what it is. It was a lower interest rate than if I had gone to get a personal loan. Also, there was a little hiccup because they saw something on my mortgage, which I still don't understand. There was a judgment against my daughter, but my name was on it because she was driving my car. I was glad they brought it up because I needed to get that cleared up anyway. But I told them that it shouldn't stop my loan because if you look at it closely, I was named but I was not in the body of the judgment. But they were being thorough and I get that.

    I got online and filled out the online application for a mortgage, and I was contacted by AmeriSave. I sent them the information they needed and talked to them about things, and then I was approved. The whole process ended up being spread out because of me finding the right house, but I was happy with how long it took. When I was ready, things went as fast as I expected. The AmeriSave reps were very helpful and professional and did what I expected them to do. The only thing I don't like is they must give your information away because I got a million mortgage offers and mortgage insurance offers in the mail and via phone calls based on filling out the application and getting the mortgage with them.

    I kept trying to tell them that are on a certain document. I don’t get it until January and they kept emailing saying we need that we need that. I kept saying I don’t have it. The gentleman before this one had that information. They gave me the wrong numbers and addresses for me to send the checks to them. I’ve never had to do that so they had the date January 22 and when we finally closed it was in February. So by the time that they got the check to me and I called and tried to get the right address and the right phone number to the check came back and said to send it to this Department. Was sent to the wrong Department so that sent me back.

    Meanwhile, I was still making my payments on my credit cards and other bills, thank God. I did everything right by the time that they got their checks. It didn’t pay them off. I had to use my money. I got out to finish paying them. I had done business with them once before and thought. Wow, this is great. No it’s not. They will not tell me where to send my payment to and it’s due March 10, that’s right. It will be late because I don’t know where to send it and they won’t answer my emails or my calls or my text.

    With other mortgage companies, you had to have over $100,000 loan and I didn't want that. I talked to AmeriSave and the rep gave me really good service and told me they had a loan that would fit my needs. He took all my information and he worked with me really good. I didn't have any problems except downloading a lot of forms but he helped me out on how to do that. The application process took a couple of weeks and I thought the rate was high, but it was workable. What I didn't like was after I worked with the guy and gave them all the forms, they turned me over to somebody else. I wanna work with the same person. But even though he had to turn me over to another guy, he still checked in with me to see if I was having any problems and was able to facilitate my loan. He stayed with me all the way till the end even though he didn't have to.

    We looked at several lending providers and AmeriSave got back the fastest. I'm not familiar with homebuying and FHA loans. But for the most part, the process was okay. It got held up near the end due to an issue with a pay slip on our end, which was fine. Finally fixed. But other than that, everything went well. They were always quick to respond whenever I had questions.

    They were generally always calm. There was one guy I talked to that I liked but he had a good go-getter attitude. He was a little pushy, but I liked that because it always prompts you to do things. It was also in an acceptable way. Everyone else that we spoke to, though, wasn't pushy at all. If I had a question, I asked and they answered. They were fairly nice overall. The rates are a bit high, but they are a bit high for this day and age regardless. The terms were all right. Rate-wise, I don't remember the exact rate, but I plan to try and look at a lower interest rate at some point. We also did it during the seasonal time of Christmas, so there was some hold-up there because of time off.

    Since this was the first time we were buying a house, we didn't know much and the AmeriSave reps pretty much answered all my questions. They gave me some feedback and told me I could go with my realtor, but if I used their services with the guys that were affiliated with them, I'd have a discount on the closing cost. They were great and very responsive. I was mailing them and texting them if I had a question or if they had a question. When we started the mortgage process, they were waiting until we decided to close the deal because the rates were dropping at that point. Once we said yes, they closed the rate for the mortgage.     I always recommend AmeriSave Mortgage. It saved my life because I was in such a bind as far as medical expenses growing and raising the federal credit limit on everything was turning my credit cards into 24%. I was able to not panic payday to payday because of this opportunity. Three years ago, I was in a situation that I needed to refinance my house. I went into the LendingTree labyrinth and AmeriSave Mortgage had the best rates for the refi. The process went so smooth and easy to refinance that I was able to pay off medical debts from having a baby and AmeriSave offered an incredible home equity line of credit because I've built up an amount of equity and I remembered how easy and smooth the process was for that. The refi was much harder than what it was for the line of credit which was easier. So, it was quick again.

    Every time I had a question, it was either text or email and it was fast, and the reps were friendly about it and transparent about everything that happened. The communication is there and they make the process so easy, and they come to me for any closing. Everyone I talked to worked on weekends and shot me text messages.     The guy from Amerisave that I first talked to was very personable, walked me through everything and helped me. I was buying down points and he said, "Well, you cannot buy down points." Then the closing cost would be less. He knew that I was gonna be paying off the loan as soon as I sold my other house, and he reassured me that there wouldn't be any penalty for that. So, it worked out well. I had to go through a lot of different things. I had to start getting money coming out of a certain government account monthly, and the other guy that helped me with submitting all the paperwork walked me through everything. So, I was very pleased with the company as a whole and both of the two gentlemen I worked with.

    I was able to do everything on their website. I did have one problem where I had hit the wrong button, and no one knew how to correct that. It was something about me still having the same monthly bills and they were all different credit cards. So, I checked no that I didn't. So, they thought that that meant that I had opened up a new account when, in actuality, what I was trying to tell them was, I had paid off all those bills. No one could go back in and figure out how to change that. The guy had to write a note to the underwriter. So, that was a little glitch in their system.

    Everything was upfront with Amerisave. It's very straightforward. Once you log into the portal, all your stuff is right there, what you have to do. However, instead of the process taking three to six weeks, it was four months. My credit score wasn't the greatest. The type of home I have isn't a stick-built home. When it went into underwriting, they required a breakdown of my pay for the past two years. I'm a union person which means I go from company to company. One employer from back in '21 would not give up my information. I had to wait from the beginning of this year before I could finalize everything.

    Trying to contact the processor and get information from her was where my issues came in. I did more than I should have. I was trying to push it through. I got all the employment information that she needed - phone numbers, emails. I made her job easy. But in return, I had a hard time contacting her. I would call and leave a voicemail. I would send an email. Sometimes I would get an email response back. 9 times out of 10, I wouldn't. The first guy I had quit returning calls. The second guy was knowledgeable but every time I tried to contact him, I felt like I was in a rush talking to him. The third guy was awesome. He knew his stuff. I told my loan originator I expected to have to jump through a ton of hoops. I wasn't originally intending on purchasing as quickly as I did. But because the process was straightforward and easy, it was less of a headache. I was able to find the time and resources to make it happen. I would use AmeriSave again. The only thing is a lot of times you don't have the final numbers until you're close to closing. A lot of it has to do with the appraisal and the title.     The guy that we worked with at AmeriSave, Nelson, had one information, but didn't say what information from whom or what. So, it was like a guessing game to figure out what he was talking about. He said report it on the portal but when we did that, he came back a day or two later and said they needed this and that information. Then we called them to say that we already gave him that information. Another rep, Tim, helped us considerably and AmeriSave was great for giving us a loan. But when it comes to the loan communication in them, that part was horrible.

    I have TransUnion and Experian. But there was a third one out there and I had no idea there were some on my credit report. So I had to contact that credit department to take it off and they had to do the investigation, which I was grateful that I found that. But it would have been nice if they would have said, I had that derogatory statement and it wouldn't have taken two weeks to figure it out. Also, the entire mortgage process took almost three months. I talked to different people in the office and I found that it should only have taken maybe four to six weeks. But because of this Nelson that wouldn't give us what they were looking for, it almost doubled in time.

    Aside from that, they gave us a percentage that it was a fixed rate and when we applied for that. But because it took so long, they increased the percentage rate. Plus, nobody upfront told me it was going to cost that much for the closing cost. Then, after we had signed the paperwork, the money was $10,000 short of what we anticipated.

    I had nothing but trouble with AmeriSave except for Jason. He was extremely helpful. I like the way he handles things. He's a telemarketer. He reaches out to see if people want loans and then he passes them off to other people. I gathered all my information and gave it to him and he submitted it all for me. He helped me log into AmeriSave's website and showed me where I could access it all, and answered all my questions. He wasn't even my loan officer. He wasn't supposed to do all of the stuff, but everything that I needed to submit, I sent it to him and he submitted it for me. It wasn't his job, but he went above and beyond to make sure that my stuff went through.

    I didn't even know my actual loan officer's name for a month and a half. She spoke to me that little. She talked to me one time in the beginning and then I never heard from her again.     I worked with AmeriSave previously. It was the second time I worked with AmeriSave. I worked with Tim. He helped us out the first time around. The first time, we got a mortgage with AmeriSave. This time, I happened to contact him. There was something on my phone from him about possibly doing something. So, I decided to call him up. The overall lending process is confusing to older people who are not so computer savvy. A lot of stuff has to be done on your phone or on the computer, but there was a lot of help there. We got a lot of help from Tim and Debbie who was in Texas. They were both very helpful trying to walk us through all the paperwork, all the phone stuff, and the forms you had to make out.

    Still, if they could somehow make that easier, it would be better. There are certain things I realize you have to be able to do. My wife and I are not that computer savvy. Just for us, it was a roadblock but we got it done with their help. We had their personal numbers and contact numbers. I trusted him from the previous loan that we had done with them. I felt like he was steering me straight. With a couple of things I asked him about, he said, "No, you don't wanna go that route because it will cost you more money and all this kind of stuff." However, it would have been nice for them to say, "This is the process we need to go through, and these are the forms that we'll need." That way, I could have sent all the forms at once. But they would wait for one step to be done then tell you they need you to do this and that. I cut down a whole forest to try and fill out the paperwork on it. If you take a month to process the papers and go through all the stuff for the paperwork, I don't understand the three-day wait. That three-day wait was a downfall. The only thing that I would improve is that they could be a little bit more upfront about interest rates when they're quoting them.     I worked with one person during the initial process and it switched about three times before we finally closed with the same person. There were a couple who I thought were not really helpful and I didn't particularly care for. But the process was okay. We had to fill out paperwork and send in different documents. I go in the portal and it tells me what needs to be done. I provide whatever information they're asking for and submit it. If there was something I wasn't clear about, I email the rep. The paperwork always had the rep's name and phone number that I can reach back out to ask questions to. If they didn't get back to me that day, they got back to me the next day.     The process dragged on and on for six weeks. They kept losing paperwork and I had to re-send it. It cost us more for the loan than what I was told in the beginning. We ended up doing a $75,000 loan because they needed so much money. We only needed $65,000 and we received $63,000. They could have talked to me more on the phone instead of just sending statements to me. Our payment now is $600 when at first they told me it would be $400. We already had something in line to purchase with the loaned money and I didn't have the luxury of saying, "Oh, forget it. I'm just gonna go with somebody else." We bought a motor home and I gave the seller a couple of thousand dollars down on it to hold the home so he didn't sell it before we were done with the process. I had to give him another $1,000 to hold it longer.

    The communication should have been a lot better. I have not received anything saying when my payment's due. I started out with one guy and then after that, he no longer communicated with me. Another guy did but then he was hard to get ahold of. They'd say, "Well, tomorrow. I'll talk to you tomorrow," and I wouldn't hear from him for three days. Then I'd call them back because I had somebody else waiting for me to know that I was fully approved for the service. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody. I'm just glad it's over with.

    AmeriSave was amazing. Rocket Mortgage tried to back me in a corner out of the 20-year we had agreed upon into a 30-year the day before close, and I jumped to AmeriSave. They got me in at a better rate on a 20-year, and I could have done a 15 through them. They did the process of opening to closing in 20-ish days. They pulled and pushed for me. They really fought. I’m very pleased. The people I've worked with have all been open to communication.

    I had to do a bit of uploading documents, and that was not fun. Their underwriters were doing their jobs. There were a few stumbling blocks at the end that were things I thought were ludicrous. They were demands from the underwriters to ensure the integrity of the loan’s mortgage. That's my understanding. I get it. They're all in the same team, but they all have different jobs in there, and it made sense. It gives me confidence in the company versus the financial crash. I would very much recommend AmeriSave. I'm still waiting on a $640 refund check, and my $200 credit got sent to the wrong address and it looks like I’m gonna lose the $200 credit. There was a timeline on it. It's coming off of my 62 total. So, it's not the end of the world, but it's a little irksome.

    I had a pretty good experience with Amerisave. I would recommend them. But how the third-party handle the checks was a little more discouraging. I did a refi to consolidate a lot of creditors I had with the house from remodeling certain things and some credit cards and then some loans. I wanted to just deal with having one payment.

    I started out the process online. I didn't wanna do a refi per se because I had a really, really, really low interest. When I talked to the agent, he explained the numbers and how the loan process worked and that a refi was gonna be more beneficial. When he broke down the numbers, it made sense. He told me that I didn't have to be locked in at this. He said, "You can refinance now, make your payments for the next six to nine months. Your credit score will go up in those six to nine months. And you can always refi if the rates drop.” He was good at communicating. Even if I called him and he didn't pick up, I got a return call within seconds.

    The process was pretty quick. With their program, you get email alerts telling you what documents they need and if you have access to it, they're easy to upload. Once everything was uploaded and it went to the underwriting department, it was really quick. Then it was funded within three weeks. It was a really quick turnaround. The interest rate was competitive and the fees were low. Overall, AmeriSave is gonna get you a better deal because they're gonna be able to look at multiple ways to refinance. Also, they'll be a little more competitive versus if you just try to refinance directly with your mortgage company.

    The application process was fine. The customer service team was great. However, it was the automated request for information that kept coming in that didn't seem to line up with where we were in the process sometimes. So, automated emails for request for additional documentation would keep coming in when I had already discussed with the team where we were and how it would take a few days. For example, we wouldn't be able to get the property insurance of the new home until we had a closing date, and they were aware of that. But I kept getting urgent emails FROM AmeriSave Mortgage saying we need proof of property insurance for the new home.

    We had a couple of delays in the closing. The underwriting department became aware of the need for termite tenting and they were concerned about that. So. they wanted that done before we closed. That's understandable. But after that, there was a solar lease agreement for the panels that were on the house. And they wanted a copy of it and we provided a copy. It was an unusual agreemen. The underwriters wanted additional information and to get a better handle on how the agreement worked. And that delayed closing another two or three days. We ended up having to pay $200 to the sellers because we delayed the closing. Everybody knew about the solar lease agreement from early on. So, I didn't understand why it took until two days before closing for the underwriters to want to scrutinize the agreement. I wasn't happy with that.

    Other than that, the staff that I worked with, Leon and Angela, were very responsive. We had a time difference of three hours, but that didn't affect their responsiveness. They were very good about getting back to me, which was very helpful because not everybody in the process was the same. Sometimes I couldn't get in touch with or I couldn't get timely documentation even from our own Realtor. But they were always on it, so I appreciated that.

    Jessica with Amerisave was very efficient. She helped me gather all the stuff that I needed for my first-time homebuyers loan. She called the estate lawyer and got everything set up for me. I had a weird circumstance. My dad had died and his ex-wife was trying to take the house. Instead of being a couple of weeks process, it ended up being three months. But Amerisave was great the whole way. I like their portal the best.

    The application I went through was very thorough. But the team made it less painful by stepping me through everything and staying in touch. I was impressed by my rep's ability to communicate, her timeliness and her responses when I had questions. But the management of their documents on their online portal could be better. We went through several iterations in different documents and a lot of times, the older documents were present where the newer documents were not. When I go back to review something, I would see the old document there. I had to say, “Hey, where's the new stuff you want me to review?” They would take care of that right away but it wasn't something automatically done that they should be doing.

    Other than that, I'm very happy with the rate and terms of the mortgage I received. I recommend AmeriSave to anybody whether you're new or old to the process of doing it. The process took a month and a half, and I was happy with the rate and terms. I had a great experience, and I think other people will too. However, it was complicated at the end. As soon as the transaction was done, there wasn't any communication. The mortgage was sold, but it would have been great if we had someone respond to us because we got bills to pay the mortgage. We tried to pay it and we couldn't do it, then we got a bill from the new mortgage company. That's how we knew that the mortgage had been sold.     I stayed with AmeriSave because the guy who was working with me had a good attitude and he really wanted to help. He checked up on me and when I asked him something, he gave me all the answers. And if he didn't have the answer, he would go and ask his supervisor then get right back to me the same day. On their side, the process was okay.

    But on the VA side, they were losing their mind and we had to go through a lot of stuff. They had crazy questions and they wanted to see all these different pay things, which I accommodated. But every time we saw something that was ready to go through, the VA would throw a little monkey wrench in there. The process took two and a half months, and if it wasn't for the VA, it would have went a lot quicker. In the end, I got the money I wanted but I was hoping I would have gotten more.     I was getting divorced and I needed to refinance so I could buy out my ex's equity in the house. I went through my bank, but they weren't helpful. The servicer told me I wouldn't have to refinance, gave me some wrong information, and then kinda redirected me, but that didn't work out. So, I did a search on the best refis and AmeriSave was on the list. I started filling out some stuff through AmeriSave, and the rate was better than the rate that my bank would have offered. The process was easy and straightforward. I've been through the loan process a couple of times and by far, this was the easiest. They told me what documents I needed and what the deadlines were.     AmeriSave needed all the paperwork, verification of employment, and bank account information. There was a lot of documentation that had to be done. I wish they let me know everything that they needed upfront instead of waiting until the last minute to say, “We need this. We need this. We need this,” and putting a hold on everything. But some things were unnecessary. I work for a construction company, and they wanted a written letter with me to sign and date it stating that I don't work at the address of where my office is located for my company, that I work remotely. It was irritating, because I was closer to closing, and it pushed it back another day because they wanted some extra things from me in a way at the last minute to let me know.

    Also, I hate that AmeriSave sold my mortgage to Freedom Mortgage. I know it happens. But I liked AmeriSave and how they made everything very easy with the website to pay and put a little more towards my principal. And their interest rate was better than others. And I liked dealing with everybody. I had questions for the guy I dealt with and he reached out to me on the weekend to give me answers. So, he was a very big help. Also, I like the rate.     The process with AmeriSave was very easy, and the person who contacted me, the loan originator, was really helpful. I went with a cashout refinance and it was incredibly simple. I did it all online. The steps were really easy. I was able to submit documents online. I was able to speak with the loan originator any time I needed to, and it was the quickest process I've ever been through. The application itself took no time to submit online. From start to finish, it was under a month for the loan to even close. I had the appraisal within days. It was incredibly fast.

    One thing that was sometimes a little bit confusing was the number of companies involved in the process. There was an appraisal company, a closing company, and those kinds of things. It would have been helpful to have information ahead of time to know who was who and who would be contacting me. There was an attorney on the closing date as well as a notary public who came to my office to do that work. It would have been helpful to know who those folks were. The call from the attorney on the day of the closing was really unexpected. The notary public came at a different time. So, by the time the attorney called me, that process was over and I wasn't even expecting a call and had no idea who he was. So, I felt a little bit bad for him. I had no idea who was gonna call.

    The representative, Blake, was really outstanding. He was super responsive. He was quick to answer questions. He was very thorough. I couldn't say enough good things about him. If I had to refer someone for a process like this, I would definitely send him his way. I was impressed with his knowledge and the speed with which he responded.

    I was very comfortable with the process. The only thing that I was somewhat uncomfortable with was that it was all online. I didn't have any physical contact with people. It makes you a little bit uncertain if it is really a legitimate company, but I did do my homework. That was just one thing that was a little unsettling for me. When I have questions or concerns, I could email or call Blake. There was another person where once the loan went into the underwriting process, she was also involved and I could ask her questions as well, and she was responsive.

    One thing that I have been less impressed with is after the loan went through and after it started, they did sell the loan and I got phone calls from the new servicer before I ever got any documentation that that had happened. That was unsettling because I had no idea if they were legitimate. I had no idea what was going on and they were asking for personal information. I couldn't even get to the point of knowing if that was legitimate without sharing information with them. So, to figure that out, that wasn't great. I had to track back down to AmeriSave to find out. I wish that there had been some documentation online or some letters sent to me before this happened. Other than that, it was a good experience, it was a quick turnaround, it was a smooth process, and I'd recommend that people take a look at the company if they were looking to refinance a mortgage.

    I was in the process of fixing up my credit. I was afraid to talk to a lender about seeing if I qualified because I didn't want anybody to run my credit at the time. What ended up happening is that AmeriSave sent me correspondence in the mail and said that I was prequalified. So, once they told me that I was prequalified, I decided to reach out to them because I felt like if they were telling me I was prequalified, then they were telling me that I qualified. I am a first-time homebuyer. But in going with them, I felt like they didn't have a first-time homeowners program. The person that I was working with explained to me I was better off putting out my own down payment.

    Towards the end, I had to close on a third day or I wouldn't be able to get a home. If I sent something, four days later, I was being told, “It's not the right documentation.” I wish it was a little bit more streamlined in that regard because a week went by, and I thought that I was in the clear, but then I got a message that that was not what they were looking for.

    I felt like the process was easy, considering it was not a physical location that I was dealing with. I filled out the application. The correspondence between me and the mortgage officer that I was working with was great. If I leave a message or send an email in the morning, by the afternoon, I will get correspondence back in regards to filling out applications. The first day I talked to him, it was a speedy process. I called. We talked. He walked me through applying for the application. I did it during that day and then before that evening, I got my prequalification letter. My mortgage officer was amazing.     I did a VA loan they said it was only supposed to take two or three weeks but it took three months for me. The VA decided they wanted a house appraisal and a land survey, which are not easy to get. I had to find a land surveyor so that was two months out. I had to get the survey before they would send out an appraiser. But AmeriSave was very helpful and understanding. Every time, they were asking if there was anything they can help with. Unfortunately, with the amount of time that went by from when we first started to when I finished it, the rate had gone up a little bit. But it was not a big deal and it's still lower than what it is now.

    I reached out to AmeriSave via their chat service and I had an immediate response from them. They helped out with things I needed. They asked me questions and I provided them information regarding my home. They completed a majority of the paperwork themselves and put completed documents in their portal for me to review. The process took a while because I had to jump through several hoops as I had a mobile home. The underwriting process was very particular on things that they were looking for and I had to accommodate that.

    It wasn't as quick as a week but it was done within a reasonable timeframe. It would have been better if the underwriting process was a little more understanding to some things. I've lived in this home for 22 years, and they were asking for certain documents that no longer exist. I called manufacturers and they've purged their data systems. Luckily, I'm OCD, so I had a lot of stuff from the original purchase of my property so, I could provide them enough information that made them feel comfortable.

    My original paperwork was from a dealer. The underwriting process wanted me to get documentation from the factory that it was delivered from the factory to the dealer, the dealer to my property, and set up here, and that it was set up nowhere else or that no one else lived in the home. My original paperwork within my original closing documents was marked as new. So, I call my manufacturer which has now changed ownership three times over the last 22 years. So, they're no longer that company I bought from anymore and they go by a different name. They don't have records dating back to 2001. So, the underwriter wanted some crazy things.

    Also, I had some nice additions built on that were signed off on by the county that I live in. So, the county inspectors inspected those and signed off on them with certificates. The underwriter wanted me to have a structural engineer come out and verify that those additions were structurally sound and did not impede the overall structure of the original home. I provided them the certificates from the county, and they weren't sufficient. So, I had to get a structural engineer to inspect my home, document that, and send that in.

    Other than that, the rep and her assistant were very responsive. If I had a question, they would get to the bottom of the question and hit me back with a response within a day or so. That was very accommodating as far as keeping me involved in the process. They also went to bat for me when it came to the underwriting process and fought for me the entire time. The underwriter was a bit extreme and they were able to get my application approved. They went to a supervisor and explained situations. They were awesome. My rep was very helpful and accommodating to my work schedule. She informed me of where things were within the status line of the process and the scheduling of things as far as my home appraisal. All that stuff was done very fast.

My one complaint is that our account got shuffled around between a couple of different people due to staff changes. And it made things a little confusing and delayed the process a little bit. But once I got the right person, they were fast to respond to our needs and were very helpful. They also made adjustments to the approval amounts based on our needs.     I inquired about a refinance for my home in order to get a home equity loan. I wasn't turned down by the other company which I was currently with, but the agent that I worked with at AmeriSave was very informative. His name was Brandon and he walked me through a lot. Out of the three to five calls that I made, he was the one that took the most time to talk to me and he explained every step to me. But when I was introduced to the individual that would turn the documents over to the underwriter, he did not have the same type of customer service. Because I had never done a refinance of that nature, some things were very confusing to me. When they were requesting information about my father's home, the email was very vague. And instead of there being an explanation, I was just told that if I didn't provide the document, my loan was not going to be to go through.

    I sent an email back after a couple of other incidents and said I wanted to pull back and close the loan because it had gotten to that point where I did not like the approach. Finally, Brandon stepped in and told me what was happening. I feel like his responsibility was to get me to that point, but he reached back out. He asked if there was anything that he could do then I've gotten the explanations and I understood things better. With Brandon, I would get responses within 24 hours, sometimes the exact same day. But with the other gentleman, he would send me emails on Saturdays. And then when I would try to send an email back, the reply would be that he was on his day off.

    Other than that, when he needed a document from my current insurance company with my home, I called my insurance company four times requesting this information and the last time that I called, my insurance company said that whoever I was working with was being lazy because the individual who was submitting my information through the underwriter was the one that was supposed to be contacting them. The young lady said that she had been a customer service rep with USAA for 10-plus years and they hardly ever get calls from the customer. Also, he kept asking me thru a phone call about the event that I defaulted on a payment. So, I called USAA and told them that he needed particular document. The rep said that there was no such document but they always let the lender know if they should default. If I should default on my insurance payment, I would be made aware of it.

    But the gentleman from AmeriSave said that the verbiage has to be in there. I provided him with the phone number of USAA and asked him to call them. I sent him my policy information and told him that I've called and I've told USAA I give them permission to talk to him. But he said he needed an email and I didn't have an email address to give him. And there were four emails where he just kept harping up on that and that I should be the one calling USAA. He really needs to work on his customer service. In the end, it took close to 45 days to complete my loan and that was because I needed to get some work done and the weather wouldn't permit. I would tell my friends that AmeriSave's process is seamless. They just have to make sure that if they get somebody rude, they should ask for their supervisor.

    My experience with AmeriSave went well. I called around a bunch of different lenders, and they gave me the highest loan to value and got me the number I was looking for. Sacrificed a little interest rate, but that's just how it goes. They should also maybe let me know when my credit is gonna be written. Before I made the final decision, I wasn't rushing anything. They were just pulling credit to see the most accurate rates instead of estimates. It worked out and it moved quickly. But I was a little inexperienced with that process.

    Tristan did a really good job. He explained everything to me. It was painless.     The customer service was really good and Amerisave's loan product was cost-competitive. Once I got connected with the sales rep, we started working on it. I had a good experience. They were very solutions-oriented. I had a bit of a complicated home-buying process because my mom lives with me and we were trying to find a house that works for her disability and there were some fits and starts in finding the right house. This guy hung on with me for a long time, which I really appreciated. Once we identified the house, Amerisave was quick to work with. Their website worked well. They communicated the various menu of options really clearly and I'm confident in the choice that I made in terms of interest rate and down payment in order to find a happy product.

    The rates and terms suck massively. It was very bad. It was the most expensive house I bought. I took a bit of a gut punch on that. I ended up choosing the 7/6 ARM variable rate. Amerisave had a competitive and somewhat unique menu among the companies that I looked at for that rate. So I was able to get a lower rate than a lot of the six mortgages or other similar products. But I'm a little bit of a cheapskate and it scratched that itch. From a sales standpoint, they did a good job. There were a couple of buggy things that I found frustrating, but nothing insurmountable. Amerisave plays a fairly standard game from what I can see as an individual.     AmeriSave did cash-out refinances for second homes, which is what I was looking to do. I got a conventional 30-year fixed loan. The process was a hassle. They tried to do everything through this online portal, but sometimes it didn't work. They would request information and it would not notify me that it was being requested. So, I found myself checking it daily to make sure that they weren't waiting on anything from me. Then sometimes I would upload what they're asking for and they couldn't find it, so I'd have to email them separately. The application went fairly straightforward. That was done via interview process with the loan officer over the phone.

    The application went in on June 12th and I closed on July 28th. It was roughly 50 days. The loan officer boasted that it was gonna be roughly a 30-day timeframe. We went well over that. I feel the loan officer is disconnected from the processor/closing. They get the loan application in, and then you just sit there. From the day that I applied and got the loan locked in, the appraisal was a one-day turnaround. So, I was sitting for the rest of it, waiting for processing to occur.

    Then there were several hurdles I had to jump through in order to close the loan. Their processor to closing could be vastly improved because there were several stages I was asked to provide more and more information. They never had a set, “This is what we're gonna need from you. And this is how long it will take to review and close.” So, I was constantly finding myself reaching out to the loan processor. One interesting thing on the closing part was they sent the disbursed funds to pay off things. They sent it to the subject property instead of my residence. This was a second home. So, I had to have my mother who lives in that property send me the funds. Luckily, she said, “Hey, there's a mail here for you from AmeriSave.” I said, “Oh, well, I've been waiting on some stuff from them. It's probably that. Can you send it over?” So, luckily, I got that all to occur. I didn't even get things in the proper amount of time.

    A friend said AmeriSave was good to use. When I sent an email out with some basic information and a questionnaire, Eli reached out to me from down there in Phoenix, and he was very hospitable and very easy to work with. So, I decided to go with AmeriSave. Working with them was the easiest thing I've ever done when it came to doing a refi or a purchase, and it went fast which was good. If there were any hiccups, they were quick to get back to me so we could get them corrected and get things done.

    When I did the online application, there were some things that were confusing but then Eli walked me through some of it and it worked out great. For the most part, it was still relatively easy to do. It took about 30 days for everything to complete. I've dealt with some bad experiences doing this kind of stuff before. So, this one was smoother. It's the first time I've ever done anything online. By doing it online, it was reaching out online and talking to someone that way instead of going to an office here locally and speaking to somebody or having someone physically nearby you. So, the experience was good. It was well done.

    If I have any questions or concerns, I have the process center. I had a gal back there who was helping me, Leane, and she was good. She answered all my questions there. Also with Eli, if I had a question or was concerned, I would ask him and he would give me the response relatively quickly via either text message or email. The portal they used was effective to get information out to you and to use. Eli was assigned to me to be the loan originator. His willingness to work with me impressed me. From the very beginning, I told him if he was upfront with me and told me his bottom line best deal he could do, and the truth, I would use him from start to finish, and that was what he did.

    The rates and terms were fair across the board for what it is. They were good compared to what other people were doing. Other people are trying to play games and set you up at different kinds of rates, giving you this lower rate for this amount of time, but then it switches to this rate. Now, everything was locked in. Mine was what Eli said it was gonna be and that was how it worked out well.

The rep we had was very helpful, personable and conscientious. We didn't get exactly what we wanted because the veteran mortgage advantages that they have in the state of Florida don't cover the kind of condo that we were refinancing. But he immediately knew a better and a fast alternative. He also had an assistant and she was equally as helpful. I did everything online and I also was able to fax anything they needed.     I called AmeriSave and talked to Tristan. He was a very educated and well-spoken young man. He made the borrowing process so easy for us and he was very effective with his work. So, we dropped the company that we were with before and took our business to AmeriSave because of him. The terms of the mortgage that we got from them were acceptable and during the application, most of the information needed to be uploaded on the portal. What we weren't sure about, we gave them a call and got to them immediately. And they helped us through the process of uploading our information when we weren't sure about that. We did it all on our phone and it didn't take much work.

    But things took about a month longer than it should have because it was not a good situation with the other company and they made it as difficult as possible to work with AmeriSave. They wouldn't give information over and it made us have to push back our closing date on the house twice. But even when we were close to closing and things were being pushed back, Tristan reached out to us a couple of times to check in and see what was going on.

    What happened was, we already had the appraisal done with the other company, then we decided to switch. They held our appraisal hostage to the point where we finally had to get a second appraisal. We had Haddon involved trying to force them to give up the appraisal. AmeriSave should have more knowledge around how the appraisal process through Haddon works so that they could help someone if that ever came up in the future. But it's such a rare instance and no one I've ever talked to has ever had to deal with someone holding an appraisal hostage.

    Awful. Lender kept asking for the same documentation over and over and over, constantly delayed things, would say things like "okay we're ready for closing" only to have "just one more thing" the next day all the way to closing. Never had this experience before, asked around if it was normal now, everyone I knew in reality / insurance was flabbergasted (we should have been super fast and easy to close, excellent credit, tons of cash). Even at closing, things weren't communicated to the title company correctly and the lawyer said he'd been doing it for over ten years and never seen something like this before.

    Somehow we closed, but it was in spite of things, not because of some sort of wonderful experience. Will never ever use again. Addenda: I find it strange this site has them at a 4.7 when others have them listed much lower (some as low as 1 point something after hundreds and hundreds of reviews.) IMHO Do yourself a favor and look around that my experience is not uncommon whatsoever.

    What AmeriSave Mortgage said they could do, they did. Not a dime less nor a dime more. And it worked out perfect for us. Catherine was the lady who first started with us and stayed with us the whole time. And she was fantastic. She explained everything to me how it works. And we went right from there. There would be things we didn't understand. What we didn't understand, we asked. And they explained it to us. And any time we emailed Catherine, she was fantastic about it. When I called or had an issue, I could either send an email or make a phone call. I’d get a return call back within two hours. And that's fast.

    There was one check that they had a lien on the house some years ago when we had some hard times. These people sent the check back to my wife because they didn't have it anymore, so they couldn't take the money. So, when she received the check, and she went ahead, they sent it back to AmeriSave. And Catherine took care of it. They found out who the other place was. She just got the check today. She's mailing it out in the mail.

    Anything that we had in the past all got paid. We got things off our back. They took care of all the liens that were on the house from some years back. The phone doesn't ring anymore, except when they wanna change me on Medicare. Also, my credit is at 727 now. And it was two months ago. I thank everybody at AmeriSave. I believe in them. And I would never change.

    The money is nice, but if you don't have somebody that is legitimately working with you and all they wanna do is get your credit report and the whole bit and send you an email and say, “We can't do this. We can't do that because of the past,” how do you get rid of the past unless you get the loan? AmeriSave invests in people. It didn't take me two weeks. They were out to help the people in their times of need and understood. They listen. When I call Catherine, I could talk to her for 20 minutes if I had to, and she listens. So, AmeriSave is all about helping the people of this country. Go to them. Listen to what they have to say first. Do it their way. Let them guide you. When you got a question, ask them. But you would have a lot of online stuff.

We were told we had to pay a appraisal fee which we did, and someone would call us within a week to set up a time to do the appraisal. No one called and JR stopped answering our calls and emails.     Applying for the refinance thru AmeriSave was long and difficult, but a lot of it was because a lot of the documents that I needed, my mom had, but she didn't know where she put them because she had dementia.     Applying with AmeriSave was pretty simple. They helped me collect everything that I needed, and told me how to capture and send them the data. They also told me how to upload everything into the portal. They were very professional and my experience turned our exactly the way they said it would. The total process took six hours spread over three weeks and the person I worked with was excellent. He had creative ways to finding solutions and was very helpful.     The portal where I submitted documents was a little disjointed to use. Other than that, the application process was easy and the rep stayed in contact. If I had a question or sent an email, I got feedback pretty quickly. Also, we had an issue toward closing. I had submitted pay stubs but only one went through. So, it looked like I had half the income I should have had. We were doing an addition to our home and I said, “No. I wanted to cash out so I can pay for this remodel.” When they looked at my income, they said, “Oh, we're missing half your pay because we don't have the pay stubs.” So, I had to resubmit. But they corrected everything on their end. That just delayed the process a week or so which was not a big deal.

    The Amerisave rep that contacted me at first was really thorough and would always answer the phone when I had questions. The application process was relatively easy. I only had a bit of a glitch at the end trying to get some paperwork from my condo. But once I called and got that and they released it to me, it went relatively quickly. Other than that, everything was still done in a timely manner. They also did a good job of explaining and emailing me, letting me know I had a new form to fill out.

    The rep I worked with seemed knowledgeable and available. If I had any issues, he resolved them really quickly, or any questions, he explained them in a way that made sense. Even if they weren't questions necessarily related to his department, he was good about helping me try to figure it out and comparing other things or getting me in contact with the right person. Overall, I was able to consolidate debt and still come out cheaper. I was able to pick up a personal loan or credit card and get that off of me. Now, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and can work on getting to school and just doing bigger things.

    Amerisave was phenomenal. The rep I worked with had to get on the phone for hours with me, just trying to get through the program safely. They had a decent title company come and close it. They had an appraiser come out. It was local. They did everything a mortgage company should do. Everything worked out fine.
