What is Advisor?
Advisor is a financial planning and advising company that works with clients on investing, financial planning, tax strategies, retirement planning and other financial strategies. It is a fiduciary, meaning it is required by law to work in your best interest.
Advisor is not a robo-advisor; rather, it provides what it calls “white-glove, goals-based financial planning” with a fiduciary advisor. This means you’ll have a person you can talk to and work with for your financial planning, and someone to review your portfolio and investment strategies to help ensure you’ll achieve your goals.
How does Advisor work?
To get started with Advisor, you complete a short online form to request a free consultation call. Next, an employee will contact you to discuss your answers and get a feel for your goals and risk tolerance. Then, over the next 12 months, you’ll develop, alongside your dedicated team, a financial plan that will include developing benchmarks to evaluate progress, adding complexity to your portfolio and enjoying quick wins.
The company will also help you manage your portfolio and investments through your preferred investing or trading platform.
Advisor services
Advisor focuses on long-term, “tried and true” methods of investing tailored to each client’s personal goals and risk tolerance. It will work with both new and seasoned investors on strategies such as asset allocation and portfolio rebalancing. This is in line with its belief in traditional investing — and in what it calls “boring” methods that achieve your financial goals.
In addition to financial planning and investing, other services offered by Advisor include:
- Retirement planning
- Tax strategies
- Equity-based compensation strategies
- Budgeting
And, although it’s not a focus, Advisor will work with you on alternative investments such as real estate or crypto.
The Advisor platform provides access to tools that help you track your investment progress, view your assets, liabilities and cash flow, and visualize your progress. Other tools are available to assist with tasks such as purchasing insurance and debt management.
There is also a workplace financial wellness option available to employers. Interested employers or companies must contact Advisor directly for information about the program and how to enroll.
Advisor fees
Advisor charges a fixed annual flat fee of $3,750, which remains the same regardless of the size of your portfolio. There is also the Advisor One option, which costs $1,000 annually and may be offered to some potential clients who are on the cusp of qualifying for the traditional services. This is different from other fiduciary advisors, who may charge a percentage of assets managed or invested.
There is no minimum investment amount required to work with Advisor. While the company does state that it specializes in working with high-earning, nonfinance professionals (doctors, engineers, real estate agents, etc.) ranging in age from 25 to 54, it will also work with those who don’t fit in those categories, including new investors.
Advisor does not receive a commission for its services.

With a variety of financial services available, Advisor helps with financial services on a small or large scale.
