Currency Capital seemed easy to deal with and they were quick to get me approved. I got my contract in a couple of days through email. Everything went good with the relationship manager. They were easy to deal with and got back to me quick. With my business loan, I was able to update my equipment and get better ones, too. The loan sped up production and business would be slower without it. Everything went smooth with Currency Capital. I recommended them to somebody else.

Agent Paul ** overpromises the timing of granting approval of additional funds, but since my payment deadline was missed I pursued other lending company which is need a Payoff Letter from Currency but my requests were ignored and no matter which number I called or which different agents I seek help from... All directed back to Paul. Who continues to ignore my requests! It's been over a week and still no sign of issuing a Payoff Letter. Horrible experience!

Hello Vincent,
We apologize for your experience with Currency. After investigating the case, we have gathered the following information: Currency was contacted by the client in regards to requesting additional funds for working capital. The client was approved on terms accepted by the client but Currency was unable to complete the deal due to process delays. Following this delay, the client no longer sought additional funding but requested a payoff letter for his previous existing loan with Currency and our lending partner. After receiving this request, Currency advised the client the best way to receive this information was to contact the lending partner directly.
We thank you for your business. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at (800) -935-2178 or assist@currencycap.com.

We got a loan from Currency Capital for a fork lift. Everything seemed to be going fine until we wanted payoff information to close out the loan early. We contacted our account executive multiple times via e-mail and left voice messages and never got a response. We called the customer service line 3 times and each time we were told that we would receive the information via e-mail within 1-2 business days. Here we are 3 weeks later and we still do not have the information. I finally got through to our account executive who I am sure only picked up her phone because I called from a number not stored in her caller ID and got the same answer, "you'll have the information today". This is completely unacceptable. And we still do not have our payoff information.

Hi Elisa,
We apologize for your experience with Currency in relation to the timing of receiving information regarding your payoff. After receiving your initial request for payoff information, Currency began our internal process of collecting this information and preparing our documentation. We make every effort to process every request as efficiently as possible. We have since confirmed with our Customer Service Team that you have received the aforementioned document pertaining to your request.

I was approved for a $17,500 loan on 8/31 and the next day, I received a call stating that because the equipment that I was purchasing was used they could only finance $5000??? I was assured the night before that I was approved for the $17,500 and even signed all paperwork (Docusign). I was told to contact the seller and expect money in the morning! The creditors knew that this equipment was used when they approved me! This company should honor what they say. NOT A VERY RELIABLE COMPANY.

Hi Anthony,
We apologize for your experience with Currency. After investigating the case, we have gathered the following information: Currency initially spoke with the client in which the client expressed interest in financing equipment and doing it very quickly. Currency advised the client the next step in the funding process would be for Currency to secure the funding with a term sheet so Currency could go through with the purchase. The client agreed and signed the initial term sheet.
After conducting the initial review of the equipment, the client was not approved for the full amount because the equipment was an older boat than what was initially expected. After coming to the conclusion that Currency would not be able to approve the full amount for the used equipment, Currency immediately refunded all of the funds back to the client.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for your experience. This experience is not indicative of how Currency conducts business. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at (800) -935-2178 or assist@currencycap.com.

Currency Capital was the first one to respond to me when I was looking for a financing company. With the loan that I got from them, I could focus on building the business and not the finance part. Otherwise, it would be a struggle. However, I've had additional withdrawals from my account and I want to find out why I have more than what was agreed upon within a given day. I sent them an email last week about it and I'm still waiting for a response.

Asked to sign docs without date, removed 4000 at once; No notice, receipt given. Joel ** said money would be returned, wrote email to confirm the return but reneged the next day and insisted on submitting financials and getting approval after one month later or a refund. I told him I do not need a loan; Truck has been purchased finally. I was told a 2% lease rate but I figured 32%. He said "How?" I said "Loan amount and payment and term will compute the rate of interest." At the time of the paperwork began and refused it then he said he would call the following Monday to finalize the document approval but never did.

Hello Enzo,
We apologize for your experience with Currency. After investigating the case, we have gathered the following information: The client initially came to agreement with the terms Currency presented. After signing the contract, the client was unreachable for up to 2 weeks after numerous attempts to contact the client by Currency. After eventually reaching the client, the client refused to provide Currency with the necessary documents Currency required to fund the deal.
It came to light that the client had requested a refund and would not send the required documentation to process the lease. After further research, Currency learned the client did not want to send the additional necessary documents to fund the deal because the client had financed the truck elsewhere after signing the initial contract with Currency. Due to the fact that the client unilaterally pulled out of the contract with Currency and financed the truck elsewhere, the client is ineligible for a refund.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for your experience. This experience is not indicative of how Currency conducts business. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at (800) -935-2178 or assist@currencycap.com.

I put out a request on LendingTree for some business financing for a piece of equipment I desperately needed for my company. In that request I heard back from Currency Capital. After several exchanged e-mails I was told the financing would be no problem and that I had to put down the first and last payments. Terms of 60 months roughly 15,000 financed with a payment in the mid 300s. The equipment would be mine at the end of the lease. This happened right before I needed to fly to Costa Rica so I put everything on hold until I returned. I was told this would also not be a problem. When I returned, I took delivery of the equipment and contacted my rep at Currency Capital again. I was sent over to another representative. I was sent an initial lease that matched the terms I was offered. Payment of $348.15 for 60 months. So I authorized the first and last to be debited ($696.30). After the payment was debited everything started changing.
The amount I approved for was cut almost in half with multiple excuses why none of which made any business sense. Nevertheless I was painted in a corner as I'd already taken delivery so I took several options off of the equipment and came up with the cash for about half down. Unbelievably my amount approved for was lowered a third time AND my sales rep requested a fraudulent invoice from my vendor for the amount financed (HALF the equipment's actual cost and value).
Final terms sent to me today were for over 110% interest 45-month term to finance $6500. They also had no notation of the $700 they had already taken! So, I was to sign, then pay ANOTHER $453.73 immediately. When I refused to sign this, as the terms had changed so drastically, I was told they were going to keep my first and last payment. This the worst case of bait and switch fraud I've ever had to deal with personally. I Strongly suggest you stay away from Currency Capital!

Hello Sam,
We apologize for your experience with Currency. After investigating the case, we have gathered the following information: The customer initially came to agreement with the terms Currency presented. The customer was then only approved for 50% of the amount. The customer was concerned that he would be paying an extra deposit with our partner lender, but was reassured by Currency that the customer would be refunded the amount he paid to the new amount with our partner lender.
The customer was unhappy because the vendor had already given him the equipment for an unknown reason. Currency was in contact with the customer on a daily basis throughout the business process. Evidently, the customer was not approved for the full amount because of an unqualified FICO score and no established credit history.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for your experience. This experience is not indicative of how Currency conducts business. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at (800) -935-2178 or assist@currencycap.com.

Currency Capital contacted me a year ago and said they do leases and loans. The rep had all the answers, it seemed. I had another big company who was looking for leasing some big equipment then, and I told them no and went with Currency Capital instead. But we're not happy with them because what comes out of their mouths is not the same as what they put on the paper. We leased from them to get some equipment but they sold us out to somebody else so we've been their borrower for only a couple of days. The equipment was fine when we got it but things weren’t followed up on, things messed up from the get-go. Initially, they gave us quote for 12+ monthly payments. Then they sent a revised quote to include tax charges. It was my fault for not paying attention to what they sent us. But I would never recommend or use them again.
The manager told us things that didn’t actually happen. He told us that a check went out when in fact they sent two checks. We weren’t able to get the equipment in operation, so it took a lot longer. Due to delays, it cost us a lot of money. If I had known this was going to be that much of a headache, I would’ve self-financed it. It’s something that we would never do on our next five spaces. We will not use them for anything. We’ll be opening another one next year and another one thereafter over the next five years. The other finance company finally sent the contracts to me via email. But we did not receive them by mail or I may not be aware of it because I’m in California and my son is in Tucson, Arizona. And it was mailed later because it was signed via DocuSign, which was fine. But then not a good experience for us.

Hi Bob,
We apologize for your experience with Currency. After investigating the case, we have gathered the following information: Initially, there was a miscommunication on how much pre-funding the vendor was approved for and Currency. As a result, only 50% of the check was sent to the vendor due to this communication. After realizing this this error, the vendor was paid in full the next morning and there was no delay in getting them the equipment.
Once the deal funded, the vendor did not hold up their end of the deal on installing the equipment. The vendor's specialist never made it to install the lifts and the customer was forced to install the equipment themselves. Currency then helped the customer collect the money from the vendor they were initially charged for installation.
Due to an error in our accounting process, Currency mischarged the customer for interim rent. It was not until the agent looked further into the customer's payment history that we realized we overcharged the customer. The agent immediately resolved the situation and refunded the customer in full.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for your experience. This experience is not indicative of how Currency conducts business. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at (800) -935-2178 or assist@currencycap.com.

So, it's been great to have that piece of equipment to be able to deliver those results.
The Currency Capital relationship manager was great, very thorough and fast in responding. I couldn't be happier. Everything was so perfect. They really have everything together, so I was very pleased. The process went very smoothly from start to finish which was really amazing. I look forward to getting this machine paid off, getting another unit, and definitely working with them again. Right now we're doing fine. I was currently in the market for Equipment financing and came in contact with A gentleman by the name of David ** who works for Currency Capital. everything seemed good at first until he requested my Banking information to withdraw my first and last payment after an approval. This wasn't even a contract but what they call a "Loan Proposal". I was never told or made aware that a payment will be deducted from my Business account without an actual approval or signed contract.
Now I am not doubting or saying Currency Capital is a scam but their methods of how they conduct business is unethical and immoral. Within a few minutes of signing this "Loan Proposal" I contacted my source who I was going to purchase the equipment from and informed him that I have been pre-approved for a Loan. When I told him that the lender was Currency Capital, the first thing he asked me was if I filled out a "Loan Proposal." He then informed me that they were going to withdraw money from my account without an actual approval or signed contract and if they were unable to approve me for a loan that I would have a hard trouble getting my money back.
After hearing this I immediately emailed back David and told him that I no longer felt comfortable to continue with the loan. He did respond back and told me that the withdraw is a good faith and also a means of not wasting their time. I explained to him that this is unheard of and was not the proper way to conduct business. It's like going to a car dealer and before test driving a vehicle and speaking to a sales person you would need to provide a down payment to show a good faith of not wasting the sales persons’ time.
David assured me that I wouldn't receive an ACH withdrawal. Well a few days later after the 4th of July I went online and saw a withdrawal for $4,333.02. I am currently in dispute with my Bank and should be receiving back my money but at no point have I heard back from David or any representative from Currency Capital. So if you are reading this please do your research and look elsewhere. They are plenty of Equipment financing companies out there that will not collect a dime without an actual approval or signed contract.

Hello Daniel, We are sorry for the confusion caused by our business process. The reason the debit wasn't returned was that the bank statements you sent were believed to be fraudulent. As previously stated, please feel free to contact David for further clarification of this matter.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I was referred by a computer manufacturer to use this company and it has been nothing but a headache and downright theft. The online forms were fine but what they do not tell you is that they take your initial lease payment out even without an approval. They tell you in the contract that they need to review your account but never have I seen a company take money without an approval. They ACH the money immediately out of my account the VERY NEXT DAY. When I saw this I was livid because that afternoon I was turned down because they do not like my industry. I asked him as I saw the pending debit of 1535.00 and he said, "It is only pending and it would drop off." It dropped off alright... right into their pockets.
When I told the representative about what I plan to do in a email, Luke gave me a call from the firm stating he was on it. I asked him why I was denied and he said because the collateral was 100 percent software. I told him, "Did the representative even look at the invoice... it was 90 percent hardware." He said he would resubmit it correctly and follow up on my check. The following day I called and was told that it was going through the process and the check had to clear. I told him, "There was no check you went into the account and took the money and I can give you a bank statement to prove it." He said, "No, I understand your frustration and I will call you tonight." There was no call.
Wednesday I called and went through the direct line to get someone there that can make a decision. I was told that he was not available but he said my check would be mailed by Friday. He said I was denied due to my score yet in the pre-approval my score was fine and the reason I was denied because of my website industry. I asked why no one got back to me with the answer and he stated, "I am not sure." I said, "The least you can do is FedEx my check back" and he said he would not do this. I told them, "I don't want to file against you but it is wrong taking money, denying the client, and not putting the money back." The lesson to this story - DO NOT ever give this company your banking information as you may never see it again. I will be filing with my attorney and the BBB regarding this company.

Customer was issued a full refund.

Our loan from Currency Capital allowed us to pay off some expenses that we needed to pay. I talked to Stephanie and she was wonderful. Although we had a misconception that we were going through a credit union to get another line of credit because the interest rate was high. I was instructed and I even had our CPA call and speak with her. We wanted to make sure that we weren't going to have a problem with the early payoff, but we were never instructed that in doing the early payoff, the total amount of the loan is put upfront. We'd had it for 45 days and we had paid $13,000, and when we got ready to pay if off, we still owed $51,000. So it became extremely high to keep.
That’s why we were trying to figure out another way to pay it off, but it was disheartening. Currency Capital did work with us and gave us a discount because it wasn’t explained to us that way. We were paying in $1900 every week and we assumed some of that was going towards the principal, but none of that was happening. So my boss really went back and forth with them and in the end, they reached an amicable agreement between us where we were all happy. But on those merits, we wouldn’t ever do that again that way because we paid up $13,000 and when we got ready to pay it off 40 days later, we owed $50,000 and that’s what we started with.
Other than that, it was a great experience and Currency Capital moved quickly. They processed everything, always professional, never had a problem getting in contact with anyone even while we were going through that negotiation process. It was never an issue with somebody responding back. I just think they need to make people more aware, especially if people are looking to pay off early, what the repercussions are and that they charge people the full amount at the top. So when you're paying down, you're not getting to their principal until you get to the second or 90 days. That part needs to be explained better so that people can understand that. We were looking into doing a little business expansion and Currency Capital took care of that for us these last few months ago. We got the working capital and finance of equipment from them. It helped us take on some larger jobs, which was the whole point. We ended up getting into some heavier construction, which we just didn't have the capital towards and it turned out to be a good thing. We're kind of an outdoor company and we used to do a lot of winter work, but in the West Coast, we don't have any more winter. So we got no more snow and ice and we had to make an adjustment and get back into construction. Without it, we'd be smaller so we've had the best experience yet with Currency Capital.
The guy we worked with, Andy **, had been doing this for a long time. He was the best finance guy that I've ever worked with. If somebody is ever doing a loan and they need somebody in their corner that's going to fight tooth and nail, it's him. He's fought to the wire of course to get all this and he worked very hard. I was impressed. It's like he took it personally whether or not everything worked for us or not. I normally don't say stuff like that and I'm kind of grumpy, but he was an interesting and a remarkable fellow. They ought to promote him and have him train everybody else to work like he does. He's very detailed-oriented and effective. It's very unusual these days to come across with someone like that.

We got the things we needed to start our business through our loan from Currency Capital. The rep who assisted us was really good with all our needs. I had no problems with her. Sometimes getting back to her or her getting back to me was a little difficult, but I'm sure she’s dealing with a lot of other people. However, our interest rate is really high. If we did a full term, we're going to pay over double of what they're worth, so we want to get them paid off as soon as possible. Also, I found out recently they’ve taken money out of my account and I don’t know why. I still haven’t gotten an answer back.

I regret doing business with Currency Capital every single day. They sold our phone number and contact details. Now, we are flooded with at least 15 phone calls a day from other companies asking if I need alternative financing. I don’t have time to answer calls that I don’t need. I only needed the loan for two weeks but now I’m stuck with it because there’s a prepayment penalty. I would not recommend Currency Capital to anyone.

I have been working with Currency for a few months now. I planned on buying another trailer to grow my company, but decided to not do it as my original business expansion fell through. I called Aaron ** and told him to cancel the loan. He told me that he had to talk to his funding department. Now it's been almost 2 weeks and was "finally" informed, I can't get my money back because of how far we are and I have to leave it for other equipment. After multiple calls and emails. I have already filled out a complaint on the BBB.org and in the process of legal action. I don't have possession of the trailer and have canceled after spending almost $900 or so on this transaction.

The client was made aware of the terms of the contract and asked if he would like to stay on the phone to go over the documentation prior to signing, to answer any questions he may have about the agreement. The client agreed as they proceeded to fill out and sign the documentation. The contract signed by the client discloses that customers will not receive money back after signing regardless if the deal moves forward or not.

Never pay for any loan upfront. I should have known better. They will not refund my money. I paid for a loan service and I received nothing. I'm out almost $400. Stay away from Currency Capital.

Client signed all documents and agreed to all the terms. He did not have commercial insurance and was notified that he would need it in order to move forward. He received a quote but it didn’t work with his budget. He was also upset that his payment amount had increased, however he had already agreed to the terms. He decided he did not want to continue with the deal and wanted a refund. He was told we could not refund him as he had agreed to the terms and signed a contract. We had put in a lot of time and effort to get this done, per the agreed terms. He refused to move forward and said he had already rejected the ACH with his bank.

Everything was on point with Currency Capital. They're the first loan company I tried and I was sure when the rep called me that the offer was good. However, the lady I called for the deposit confused me because I filed the loan application for my company using my personal phone but she used my personal information, asked so many questions and never told me that the money was posted to my personal account. So I gave her the answer to the solution, she hung up and said they'll call me in 24 hours. But she never did and never posted the money for the company's account. I called again and the rep I talked with explained for me and Friday after this, everything was fixed.
On the other hand, the relationship manager in my account was very good. She always follows up, gave me good offers and everything went as expected. The only situation I don't like is we're doing a lot of sacrifice to pay the loan but nobody reported the credit. I want to build the credit of my corporation and pay $12,000. However, I don't understand why the people checking the credit and know when it's used, don't report the credit. They ask too much for getting the money but nothing for building the credit. Also, they offered fast solution but the APR is so high.

We entered into a contract with Currency for 2 pieces of equipment. After offering us 24 months and monthly terms and we signed and wired the money, Currency wanted to split the 2 pieces of equipment. The vendor said that was not uncommon. We signed for 1 piece of equipment and accepted the terms being told the 2nd contract would still have the same terms and figures according to contract signed and money wired. They lied. The 2nd contract was for 12 months and the payback had increased by almost double.
Finally after asking to talk with supervisors we spoke with Logan **. He informed us that Currency is not a mortgage company and that in this industry even if the terms are shorter the payback will increase. That is not an industry standard and the public should be aware of how Mr. ** and Currency do business. Mr. ** gave us 2 options, Currency would make the contract the same or issue the refund. They could not make the contract the same and said they would be sending us an email and refund within 24 hours. I did not receive either nor will they take my calls or answer my emails. The public should be aware of this bait-and-switch they offer and never sign or send money because they change all negotiations after receiving your money.
UPDATED ON 03/14/2016: I had previously written a review stating Currency owed us refund. They did mail a check but not the total amount. They sent only the check, no correspondence or explanation. But the difference still owed to us is the taxes to be paid to the State of Alabama. Financial Pacific Leasing holds the loan and I have documentation showing FPL is paying all outstanding taxes to the State of Alabama and accessing it with my monthly payment. Currency is holding the tax money but they will not be forwarding it to FPL, nor will they be paying it to the State of Alabama. Believe me, in our negotiations the tax situation was discussed and addressed by FPL, Currency, and the State of Alabama. Again, this is the way Currency does business.

Upon final review of the file the customer’s credit profile did not qualify for the currently offered program. Because of that change we have issued a refund of the amount indicated in full to the customer. Unfortunately we have no control over a customer’s credit profile and if the terms of a program change for any reason we issue a full refund to every customer.

Hi. On January 16, 2016 I was online searching and I saw this company that offers equipment loans. So I applied, not know if I get it or not. On Monday January 18, 2016 I got a text from a Andy that works at Currency Capital. And the text read "Hey Cleon this is Andy from Currency Capital. We need to talk about your approval terms, can you please call me. **." So called that number not thinking on terms of getting a loan but just see what Andy had to say. So I told him the amount I need was $3,000.00 for some equipment. So he says "OK you are approved for the $3,000 and your payments will be $135.00 for 36 months" and he will need the first and last months payment. So I signed the term sheet and sent him a voided check for the amount. So Andy calls me back the next day and says "We have a problem. We can't do a loan for $3,000 but the underwriters do a loan for $5,000 because you have a tax lien for your 2007 taxes."
So I'm saying "Wow. How is that so?" I just told Andy "Never about that. I just want my deposit money back." He told me I could not get it back so I need to find some more equipment adding up to $5,000. So then I called him and told him I do not need $5,000 of equipment because I can't afford that high payment. Then he told me can do a loan for $3,199.00. Then I was still not happy but I did it because I could not get my back. So I did another term sheet and thinking all the time about the payment. Still want to cancel the loan. Then on Thursday January 28,2016 I got a call from another company, I guess it was the leasing company, and she told what my payment would so I got to thinking, why are my payments so high?
When I started this the payments were $135 and they are $199 something is not right. So called her back and cancelled. Then call Andy and told him "I Do Not want the loan. I just want my deposit back" and then he said "Why?" And I told him "I would be paying almost $8,000 for this loan and I'm not doing the loan." I never got anything from Currency. I just want my refund of my deposit of $622.78 back into my bank account.

The funding process had been completed, and you completed a verbal authorization of release of funds to your chosen vendor. When you called back the next day to cancel your lease, we unwound your lease at your request but in doing so we made you aware that the first and last payment and fees would not be refunded because we had already incurred all costs in funding your transaction. That money would be deemed as earned as outlined in the agreement you signed and then verbally agreed to on a recorded call. If you have any further questions or concerns, please call us at 800-795-9260.

It took three weeks for me to get my money back, and even still, my books are unbalanced. I will never work with Currency Capital or Mantis Funding in the future. The rep was courteous enough, but also launched into a sales pitch for the "business loan". In the end, he agreed to do as we asked.
We are worried that anyone who got their hands on this mailing could activate the credit card in our business name, but the literature with the card does state that the loan is only activated after "verifying banking and trade relationships and obtaining credit reports", and we have blocked access to all three of the credit reporting agency accounts, so feel fairly certain that we are well protected.
As an aside to this posting, it is especially enraging to see so many obviously phony positive postings on this site, praising Currency Capital and their practices. Companies who try to load a very useful reporting system like ConsumerAffairs.com in their favor should realize how totally unethical this reveals them to be, and how it reflects on their business practices in general. How could anyone be fooled?

Sorry about the confusion caused by our mailing to you. As stated on the literature, we do undergo a rigorous process which includes verifying banking information and business owner identity, among many other things. When we pursued it, the customer representative assigned to us, Felicia **, confirmed that we were eligible for such financing. When we attempted to use the 'line of credit', we provided all of the requested paperwork, both business and personal documentation. At the end of the data collection process they determined that we did not meet the profile to receive the original terms, however could offer a shorter term financing that was actually in the form of a lease. The rates associated with this were over 20%. We declined to entertain this 'counter offer', however discovered they had ACH debited our bank account.
We contacted Currency Capital demanding a return of our funds. They submitted our request but have not done so yet. After reading the other negative experiences it is clear this is a common practice by this company. Currency Capital is existing under technicalities designed to intentionally defraud consumers. We needed to make a purchase of some equipment and our Currency Capital loan helped us with our cash flow. Their relationship manager was excellent, but they might want to tell upfront that they're doing third-party lending. I didn't know they weren't the one doing it but it wasn't a big deal.

I had gone online, did some probing, and thought Currency Capital was something that I needed at the time. My husband and I started a few job as contractors and we needed some quick money. We could go to the bank but it takes forever. Riley called me, and I liked the way she was assuring me. She was very attentive and took care of business. She was excellent, and I am pleased with Currency Capital.

Our loan from Currency Capital gave us the money to buy the equipment we needed to start our own kitchen. I was doing this for the first time and a lot of it was new to me, so I needed a little extra explaining which was available. Sometimes it was hard because there was so much back and forth going on and my business was taking off. But the relationship manager, Ryan, was excellent and very personal. And the lady rep was great with doing the personal explaining. When it got down to really needing to talk, I had two emails that I was using in my phone and she had been nice to put these in one form of communication to make it easier.

I was approved for an equip loan. After withdrawing first, last month & fees of $2600, they decided to not fund loan and refused to refund my money. For almost a month, they give me the runaround that they might fund loan.

This customer attempted to defraud us during the financing process.
We funded this customer $20,000 for a working capital loan. After the funding of that loan the customer expressed a need for an Equipment financing loan, the customer was approved for the equipment financing and signed an agreement to terms of that financing, In that agreement the customer states that the information to she has provided to that point was try and accurate to her knowledge. During the equipment financing process it was discovered this client submitted her Equipment Financing application with a Social Security Number that was not hers', due to our in-depth and extensive fraud prevention policies we brought this to the customer's attention. She said it was her Father's social security number she was trying to pass off as her own on the application, because of the attempted identity fraud the customer deposit was deemed as earned by IMCA Capital as laid out in the terms of the agreement signed by the customer.
Additionally the attempted Identity Fraud is being sent to the proper authorities and will be pursued to the furthest extent possible.

The person I talked to at Currency Capital helped me. She has pushed whatever needed her pushing and she's trying to make the process faster. I'm not liking the process itself though. I'm waiting to receive the title for the truck I bought from Penske with the loan I got from Currency. They took about 4 to 5 days to transfer the title to them and do some paperwork on it, which will take another 2 to 3 days. I needed the truck since last week - I have the truck now but I can't move because it's not registered since I haven't received the title yet.

We apologize for the time it took to complete this process, but we assure you that we did everything on our end in a timely manner. Our money was sent out to Penske on August 27th and when dealing with a Fortune 100 company, you cannot always guarantee delivery dates. Unfortunately, we did not receive the DMV titling package from them until September. Most importantly, you received your title and are able to drive your truck. Please let us know whether everything is running smoothly now or not.

My experience with Currency Capital was wonderful. My sales rep was a sweetheart, very patient, knowledgeable, experienced, caring, and he really fought for me because when I came there I didn't have the greatest of credit and I didn't even really think that I would qualify for anything. It was my first time ever seeking a loan like that and my business is not doing well right now, but his participation in me getting some of the equipment that I have in here was smooth sailing. And, even though my business with Currency is over, he still will shoot me an email from time to time and ask how things are going. Currency really work hard to get you what you called them for.

Currency Capital has given me a merchant cash advance though I don't know if it's tied to my merchant processing. The loan allowed me to hire some extra staff and ramp up advertising that I wouldn't have considered to do out of basic cash flow. Their capital relationship manager has been wonderful. She has been my confidante since day one. If I needed something, I can call her and she has been extremely helpful so I very strongly recommend her. I've only had one negative experience with one individual that thought that there was an issue with the payment when in fact there was none. When I called the people that I normally deal with, it was rectified immediately, so it was certainly not a problem. Overall, they've been great and I would totally recommend Currency.

My wife needs the documents so she can put them back on QuickBooks so that the accountant can see what's going on. But other than that, everything's fine.

We were getting into a project with one of our new clients but it was unfortunate that they cut our loan in half the last minute. That staggered us a bit because it was enough to get the ball rolling a bit on our project, but not enough to keep it going. They helped and hurt us all at the same time. We're in a transitional phase right now because of it and it's been a bit of a struggle. Still, it was great that they were polite and very business professional. I've talked to their relationship manager twice during the process but nobody has called to follow up yet. That seemed suspicious, so I searched the net and found this page which has some scathing and some glowing reviews. If you check out the "glowing" reviews, you'll see they purport to be from people in the USA, but the grammar is bad and words are missing. I suspect the reviews were written by some scam artist overseas and I wouldn't be at all surprised if the company is run by the same scam artists. You can do your own research, but buyer beware...

Hi Laurie, Thank you for taking the time to research IMCA Capital. As you know with every business, there will always be unhappy customers, especially when we say no. We would like to assure you that we are a credible company that’s been in business since 2001. You can verify that by searching websites like Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs and Business Consumer Alliance. You are also welcome to call and verify with us at 1-800-795-9260. Unfortunately some reviews are scams written by our competitors and we are constantly working to take down inaccurate, false or misleading reviews. If you have information regarding a potentially inaccurate claim please bring that to our attention immediately so we can address it. We use direct mail as a way to have customers call us and we buy our data from Dun & Bradstreet. It sounds like our marketing may have made you feel uncomfortable, for that we apologize. Please know that we exist to help business owners grow by using our capital. You will be removed from our database and will not be contacted again.

After credit check they offered me business loan for 33% year interest. But they told all kind of stories and gave lot of public awards references. I searched for lenders on Lending Tree and this company came up. I received a call the next day and we discussed my needs. I gave them my company info and she said she would call me back in a few hours after "Underwriting" looked over it. A few hours later I was approved for $25,000 for a term of 60 months and my payments were only $600 a month!!! Not bad for a startup in business less than a year. So she sends me over a term sheet and I see in fine print at the bottom that signing said term sheet meant they were going to debit my bank account for first, last, and $575 processing fee and that at that point my loan would be processed for approval and that if the loan was approved and there were no "substantial" changes in the original terms (this is the exact wording) and I decided to not accept it that the money they had debited would be theirs to keep as money earned for processing the loan.
So I call her back and start questioning her about everything and come to find out not only are they going to keep my money but the original payment quote she gave me was a lease with the option to buy the equipment at the end of the lease for Fair Market Value. That means I would have to pay for the equipment twice if I wanted to own it. All of a sudden the monthly doubles for me to own the equipment at the end of the 60 months. Essentially they wanted to charge me 28% interest for 60 months. Still curious I asked her to send me over a copy of their loan terms and conditions. She said she couldn't because I haven't given them the signed term sheet so they could input the numbers. I explained I just wanted to look over the fine print before I gave them any money and it didn't have to have the numbers inputted. She said she would get it over to me later that day. It has now been 6 weeks and I have heard nothing.
My thoughts are that all of the positive reviews and even possibly some of the review sites in their entirety are scams and are not real people. Beware of these guys because I am pretty sure they are just very smart and organized thieves.
