    Everything worked really well during the purchase. I'm not that great on the computer but I was able to handle it. I tried to get my diesel truck through Olive also, but they wanted as much a month for my payment as a truck payment so I didn't do it. It was over $400 a month for the insurance and I can get a new truck payment for that.

    I've had a 2012 F-250 Diesel four-wheel drive since January. I had it warrantied under Olive as it was the best and I didn't have a waiting period in order to have the vehicle covered. Customer service was able to explain to me what the coverage was as well as the cost. They do month-to-month payments. Olive has different levels of protection on the policies. I have one that covers everything on the truck such as the fuel system, the transmission, and the driveline. Olive is just a nice insurance to have.

    I got Olive Auto Warranty through ConsumerAffairs. The gentleman I spoke to was an absolute professional, direct to the point, wasn't selling me, just laid it out for me.     The customer service that I spoke with was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with Olive's product. The price and their term also seemed to be more favorable than anybody else. I compared total of four companies and Olive's coverage, price, and terms were the best. That was really nice because with the vehicle I drive, it would be expensive to fix.

    There was a hiccup during my purchase. Olive's online platform is very good. It's just, somehow, we ended up with a hitch in the giddy-up with somebody else's weird marketing and I kept getting redirected to some site of somebody with a similar domain name. With that issue, I called Olive directly and they said I just had to go online and they would take care of it right then. Bing bang boom, they got it taken care of.

    I purchased a car warranty with a company that was pretty much a scam and I needed to get a different carrier. I did a little research and Olive is licensed through the California insurance commissioner's office. That was one of the primary reasons why I decided to go with them. They also had pretty good reviews. I spoke with a representative, who was very knowledgeable. He shared a lot of information with me and that helped in my decision. I asked some questions and within the following three days after conducting my due diligence, I decided to go with Olive.

    The one thing that could use a little attention was when I obtained my quote online and even after I purchased the service, I continued to get solicitation advertising emails from Olive saying, "Don't forget that your quote is waiting." But I already purchased from them. That became a pain in the butt and made me feel sorry that I ever got the quote online. I ended up having to unsubscribe from Olive because they would send two emails a day and it was probably all done by robot. Unfortunately, the human interface is being phased out.

    I was looking at ratings and of the top five, olive was rated slightly higher than all the others. They were common names to me and olive wasn’t. I also did a lot of reviews and in the end, I chose to go with olive. Their signup process seemed to be straightforward and it didn't take long. We bought the plan that covers almost everything and we still haven't received a lot of the paperwork. So, if they’ve sent us anything, unfortunately, it may have gone through Memphis and Memphis has been bad about getting mail. It might take us a month to get anything from them. But we know we have the coverage and we can go online to it. We also called them the other day about the payment and the man was very nice. We wanted to know that the direct draft was set up for making the payment and he explained how it was.

    My car is still under warranty from the manufacturer, so I'm still good, but I took Olive as a precaution for the longer run. I'm let down though. The rep told me that they have some dealers, but I don't see any Audi dealers in the list. Why would he tell me they have two dealers, which I already gave the information I have an Audi? He should have just told me that they do not have an Audi dealer. I checked both in Texas and in New York, and all I see are just the local auto dealers. Apart from that, the rep explained the coverage good and I already told few people about them.

    Olive sounded like it was good company. It was different in that it had a shorter term so the price was lower and that was somewhat appealing to me. The person I talked to, Rachel, was very cordial and real helpful. I’ve talked to a couple people but she was the main one that helped me. It was a good experience and I'm hoping that when I call for a claim at some point that I can get the same treatment. The companies I dealt with in the past with either auto or home warranties, the moment you have a claim, that's when you find out what's going on. It's so difficult sometimes to get answers or get somebody to respond to you or call you back. That's when the disclosures come out and they tell you, "We don't cover that." I'm hoping that that's not the case with Olive. That's why I was doing the research to find out but so far, so good.

    I did have a negative experience with Olive. It sounded good when I first signed up. They advertise that when you buy their extended warranty, you're covered the next day. I bought my extended warranty on the day I purchased my vehicle. It's a BMW. When stuff started going wrong with the car, they said, "Your coverage is too new. We're not going to cover that." Right after I gave all of $400, I ended up spending about $1,500 at the BMW dealership getting a few things on the car. One of them was a battery which wasn't covered by Olive. I don't even know if I want to call them in the future because I don't know if they're going to think that it's something pre-existing. I kind of feel screwed over a little bit, but it happens when it comes to this type of stuff.

    The protection specialist answered any questions that I had at the time and left the door open for me to call back and ask him anything else if I needed to.     Enrolling with Olive was pretty straightforward. It only took me a few minutes. However, even now that I did purchase the policy, I'm not exactly too familiar with what the plans are. It gave me a list of exactly what it covered but I'm not exactly sure of the details of it. For example, one of the plans that I chose said transmission was covered. But I'm not sure if that's everything with the transmission or just certain things. I would want more detailed description of what exactly is covered. Other than that, everything was good.

    After reading the reviews of other people on what was the best of all the companies, I decided to give olive a try. They must be fairly new, so there wasn't much negativity on them. The rep I dealt with was very helpful and answered all the questions that I had. All in all, I'm satisfied with the plan coverage but for some reason, I can't find my information when I went online and was trying to open up an account online. It said I needed my policy number to have an online account, so I can view everything that way, too. I don't know if I deleted my information or if it's sitting in my junk, though I can't find it in my junk folder. So, I was wondering if it’s possible to have it resent to me.

    Olive's customer service was a little shaky at first and I had a representative that was really nasty. I was in the car lot when she called and I had not even completed the transaction but she kept calling and calling. I told her that I couldn't talk at the time and I asked her to send me the information so I could look it over. She then said “Well, it don't sound like you want to talk to anybody right now, but you will when that 2017 breaks down.” Her name was Brittany and that was very unprofessional. But in spite of her horrible customer service, what she was offering was a good offer and I liked the affordability. I then called them back and I asked another young lady to send me the information to which she agreed.

    I had an extended warranty that was horrible with my vehicle. It was the Warranty from Hell company. At the time, we took my mother's car in and we found out her warranty had expired. Immediately, I went in to find the extended warranty we could get because her car needs to last her a long time. Plus, I wanted to make sure I found her a warranty before she had any pre-existing conditions. Olive was one of the ones that I contacted. They sounded way too good to be true. The monthly amount alone for the coverage that my mom gets is awesome. We have the full coverage for her car. They don't beat around the bush, they're straightforward and they don't do this whole, “You need to wait a certain amount of mileage and on top of that, a certain amount of months."

    During the purchase, the gentleman let me talk and ask every single question in the book that one can possibly think of, and even let me sit there and be very skeptical of it. He had no problem with answering and providing any and all information even if it was the stupidest information that I was asking. He was very patient with me and very helpful. 100%, we recommend Olive to everybody. When they talk about extended warranties, Olive is the first name that comes out of our mouths.

    A month after we got the coverage, my mom's front axle went bad. There was no hesitation. There was a question about certain parts that weren't covered. It was frustrating, but it wasn't Olive’s fault. Due to an oil leakage in the front of the engine that we weren't aware of, we weren't told. Because we had the oil changed at Christian Brothers, and they tried to get a lot of work and money out of us.

    It was about a month and a half before we got the extended warranty when we had the oil change. So, when they were telling us that there was a certain part in the engine that was totally gone, and it was leaking oil for a while underneath the car, we were pretty upset. We were like, “No, that's a new oil leak. We just got it changed.” We were kind of a little frustrated but Olive didn't lose their cool. They explained and made me understand how they were able to know and how it was proof that it was indeed an oil that's been there for a while. The auto shop that we went to wasn't very good at what they were paid to do.

    Everything that Olive offered was good. They were things I didn't know about and wish that I would have gotten on my car before my car was way past the warranty. Even the deductible is good as well as the stuff that can be fixed under the warranty.     I provided my vehicle type in the online quote request. When the salesperson, entered it into a policy, he entered it incorrectly so that we had to cancel the credit charge and begin the process again. When I finished requesting a policy online, my credit card was charged again, but I continued to receive solicitations as if I had never subscribed. After 48 hours and I wondered why I was still getting these solicitations but had not received confirmation of my policy or the policy itself, I called customer service. The agent confirmed that I had a policy but could not send it to me. She said that she would escalate it to a supervisor, who would ensure that I received those documents.

    After an hour, without receiving such documents I called again and had to explain the entire situation again. The supervisor asked me to check my spam folder again, which I had done. She tried to generate the policy herself but could not. She said that the tech and customer service department would coordinate during the workweek. I requested an e-mail confirming the activation of the policy and what steps remained to be done. She wrote it. If this is what it is like to try to subscribe, I shudder to think of how difficult it will be to have them honor a claim. You will hear from me when I do.

    I saw Olive advertised on television and I liked what the people had to say there. It looked affordable when I went into the website. I liked how easy it was to apply online. The advocates followed up within 24 hours with a welcoming email, information, the various areas where if I have a claim, or I want to talk with them, and they gave me phone numbers. I also decided to get my daughter some too because she wouldn't do it on her own, and hers is an '18, mine's 2016, and when we just wait, it's too late by then.     The rep from Olive was out of New York but she was awesome. She really helped me out a lot because I was looking at a bunch of different cars. She was very accommodating in giving me different quotes every time I called. I went with them based on a Google search and their pricing. Other than the average wear and tear, like wiper blades, oil changes, tires, brakes, and things like that, if my engine falls apart, I don't want to drop 2,000 bucks for a part. A lot of the dealerships will tell you a lot, that they'll cover this and the other things, and we buy even the extended warranty. Then when we get something looked at, of course, that's the one thing that isn't covered. So I highly suggest not trusting dealerships and making sure you have a warranty like Olive.

    There are a few companies doing extended auto warranties in California, so I did some research and Olive came up as one of the better ones. Their sales rep was very good, very succinct, and to the point. He also told me what I needed to know. Then, the payment came out automatically out of my checking account this last week and there was no problem. My experience with them has been excellent so far but I haven't gotten any paperwork yet to tell me how the warranty works and I would prefer something in writing, if that's possible.

    While I was googling for auto warranties, I ended up right at ConsumerAffairs and they recommended this Olive thing. I never heard of it, but it looked like it had good reviews. Their monthly price was also pretty good over three years. For the deductible, I wanted a high deductible plan that was cheap month-to-month. All I care about is the total cost but they only do month-to-month and in over three years, it was $600 for the Plus with the $500 deductible. And it was by far the cheapest plan with the most coverage I was able to put together. I hope I never have to use the policy but I mostly want to be protected in a new engine, like some new powertrain. Some $500 fix doesn't bother me, but $8,000 does. The signup process was easy and I'm happy with at least the description of the plan and the price that I got from Olive.

    I found out that I didn't have a warranty on my car. It's only a 2014 but when I bought it, it was pre owned and it only had a one year warranty. So, the dealer lied to me about that. They told me that I had an extended warranty. It wasn't in my contract, which was my fault, and I didn't follow through with that. I was pressured to get a car right away and I didn't look at all the details. I got a letter from the dealer that my warranty was not in effect.     I had bought a new car about two months ago, and they had an extended warranty on the car. They were telling me, which I regret, that if I were to cancel it, my car loan would go down like 40 bucks a month. The guy was also saying, “Oh, you don't really need it because you got a brand new car.” So, I listened to him, being naive, and I cancelled it. As soon as my mom found out, she said, “No, you don't do that. Anything can happen at any time with a brand new car.” I didn't realize that because I had a brand new Chevy about five years back. I had it a week and the whole engine went out. I regretted it as soon as I did it because my car loan didn't even go down. They just gave $2,000 to the finance company. It was crazy but my factory warranty is paying for it. So, I have a rental right now.

    The coverage on my Infinity 260 was getting close. Plus we were paying a boatload of money for it. When I talked to the lady in regards to what the coverage was and cost, it made it affordable for me to do that. She was by far one of the best customer service representatives that I've ever talked to. Since I'm in the customer service type business, it was important that she treated me with the utmost respect and was very knowledgeable of what the coverage was.

    I have another 18 months to pay on the car. It's out of warranty and it's over 100,000 miles. It's cheaper for me to pay the monthly fee than it is to come up with $5,000 to get my car fixed if I ever need it. I just signed up with Olive and it was easier than I thought. I do a lot of business online and I appreciated the fact that it was very user-friendly, interactive, led me through the process and gave me several payment options. It was very smooth and I didn't waste a lot of time.

    It took a minute for them to send me my receipt and my information to create my login. As soon as you sign up, they say go log back in but you can't log back in 'cause you don't have your login credentials created. There was a little bit of confusion but I'm good. I called them asking when I was gonna get my login credentials. I also did call them about my package and everything I needed to have to file a claim. I talked with a woman and she was very courteous and patient with me. She seemed to be quite knowledgeable. Everything was resolved when I was on the phone with her.

    My car is not that old so it's probably worth salvageable if anything happens to it. I wouldn't just throw the car away or get rid of it or sell it. I'm actually intending on keeping it.     I did extensive research and it was like you needed insurance for your insurance almost with the other companies. But Olive was stellar. I started reading it to my girlfriend and she felt it was what she needed. Everybody spoke good about Olive. However, we recently had a problem with them. A month before last, my girlfriend noticed that they haven't pulled the payment out of her account yet. She had an email from Olive that there was a problem. It turned out that it was some type of a glitch with their system. The payment was then made. But for the next payment, she noticed that there was nothing coming out.

    We were at Home Depot making a purchase and then she got this email that said that her policy has been cancelled. She panicked. She's kind of OCD about her car breaking down. She could have a brand new car and she would be afraid that it's gonna break down. So we got this policy to eliminate that. But this just brought everything back.

    She called and talked to them. During this time, she had fraud detected on her account. So she had a new debit card and gave it to them. They pulled the last payment off of that debit card. So it was in the system without a doubt. But somehow they've been trying to pull the payment off of the old debit card, and it wasn’t going to happen. Her payment was $36 a month but then they wanted a payment of $56. She asked about this and they said it was what it's going to be now because she basically reapplied. But this wasn't her fault. She went to great lengths to make sure something like this didn't happen. She has that account just for payments.

    We were going back and forth with this guy. We authorized him to make $56 payment but I asked we could get it disputed. But 10 minutes after we got off the phone with the guy, he hit her account for $104. So we called and got ahold of somebody. He said he was sorry but he was almost like laughing about it. He said he refunded the money. But then they tried to pull another 56 bucks out. It was not there because the money takes a while to get back on the account. Then they said she was not covered. But she had done nothing. I don't know what went wrong in this guy's head.

    One thing that they said was that their screen would not allow them to go back to her old policy. The rep said the problem was that he charged for both policies, the old one and the new one. But with the previous rep, he said that he couldn't do this. The whole time, we wanted to talk to a manager but we never did. Someone was supposed to call. This whole thing went on for four hours until we threw our hands up.

    At one point, someone offered a reduced deductible for $10 a month more than what my girlfriend was paying. But it's a 250 deductible instead of a 500. We said we would take it but it went out the window. We thought we were talking to supervisor. But we realized later that we weren't. It took two days before they finally resolved it and now she pays $46. Everybody I talked to was really nice. But end of the day, they caused us a lot of problems.

    There weren't a lot of options. There were three levels and I sought the best program. However, it was a lot more than I thought it was gonna be. I didn't have to get the full coverage but I'm kind of a full coverage kind of gal. I don't want to have to sweat the small things and manage in spite. Even my health insurance, I have a good plan so I don't have to spend hours on the phone trying to decode what's covered and what's not. I don't like doing that ‘cause it's very time consuming.

    Olive didn't quite explain to me how the claims work if I ever were to have one. I was waiting to get that whole booklet for me to go through it but they didn't send me the whole program of what it covers. We talked about it over the phone and the rep described some of the features it covers but it's a lot different when someone's telling you in your ear. I don't remember all the details.

    I already had a warranty but I had issues with it so I was looking for another one. Olive was recommended to me by someone else so I looked into it. The price seemed really good but they changed the price on me once I paid for it. It was a 50% increase in the premium. The excuse I was given was that the true mileage of the car was different to what I had put in when I initially requested the quote and that difference was 3,000 miles. That was ridiculous. I do think it was a bait and switch and I'm not real happy about that. But I'm still keeping the policy because it seems like they've got pretty good ratings with the Better Business Bureau. Also, they've got an A-plus insurance company behind them so it seems like a fairly safe bet for me. The warranty I had turned out to be a scam and I hope Olive proves to be more than that.

    I looked into a couple other companies but it seemed like Olive at least offered to go with the higher miles and that was the deciding factor. They seemed like they knew what they were talking about. I asked is there any limit that they won't repair up to a point. They said they won't pay more than the car is worth which is kind of the generic answer I’ve experienced from many insurance companies.

    They are friendly and kind on the phone but the only thing is when I went on to purchase it, I got a confirmation that I purchased it but no emails came. There wasn't a way to log on to the website. I didn't really know I had it. I didn't know my policy number. I looked at my bank account and it hadn’t charged it yet. I tried to refresh all of the pages but it would just take me back into doing a quote. I had a check mark over my car so I assumed that means I got it. After 4 or 5 days, I got an automated call from someone saying everything was okay then I got a welcome email shortly after that.
