olive is the best service and they offered coverage immediately. They have been very helpful for me when getting signed up. I wanted to change my policy at one time, and they were informative and helpful. The guy that helped me was very nice. I could always reach someone, get on the phone and talk to someone rather than just paying a bill. Once your warranty is out, you have some coverage over things that may happen with your car. I feel protected as far as my well-being and my car. The benefit is saving money and being able to know that you're taken care of if something does happen to your vehicle.

If you're thinking about looking for extended warranty, consider Olive. I would highly recommend it. They offered the most competitive rate with better guarantees. Other warranty companies didn't have the same benefits where the coverage started the same day I paid. The coverage starts 30 to 40 to 60 days after the payment is made. But with Olive, they said, "As soon as you make your payment, you're covered the first day." The payments were cheaper. And they offered a better service.

I'm very happy with the online process and everyone that I've spoken to has been very friendly. Everything was very straightforward. I purchased online and I had a question, so I contacted olive. Where I live, the closest ASCE-authorized garage is an hour and a half away. So, I had to consider that when I went with them. They were very surprised where I was located. It was that far to get to one. They said, usually, they're very close. I feel much better knowing that everything is covered. Check olive. I liked what I saw.

They have good customer service. But I did have to file a claim before and I wasn't aware of certain things. So I never got my car repaired. If I would have known about the warranty breakdown, I would have been very knowledgeable about what was covered on my vehicle as far as if anything was to happen.

Olive's website is good. It showed the price ranges and the coverage. The rep seems to be very professional as well. I was hoping that the warranty would cover all the major components and electrical, and it seems to do that.

I thought 500 was kind of high but after talking to the guy who worked for olive, he was really nice and I realized that life is just too expensive now. His name was Artie and he was really good at his job. He was the kind of dude you would want for your neighbor and I didn't mind kicking back with him and getting through the signup together.
I called one day to compare olive to other towing services like Triple A or Good Sam, and with olive, you get the minimum tow to the closest. I asked them if I drove four hours to the next state, planned on going back home, and the car broke down, would it get towed back home. They said no and that it would just go to the nearest mechanic shop. With Triple A, they tow you for 200 miles, then they tow you an additional 100 and another additional 100 and another additional 100. With Good Sam, you get unlimited towing with the roadside. So olive should put on their advertisements how much miles their towing thing is for. They should put a minimum amount there and it should be explained because someone could get confused. But other than that, it is what it is and I like what I got from them. They're great.

I signed up with Olive.com a year and a half ago with the understanding my car repairs would be covered if there was a problem. I had a major problem at the beginning of the month which turned out to be a head gasket. They refused to pay for anything- stating that I basically let the car overheat. 1. My car never overheated 2. Who even continues to drive if their car overheats? A complete fraud- right down to the reviews here that all gush about how easy it is to purchase a policy. Again, who writes a review about THAT? You write a review when you purchases a warranty in good faith and then realize you've been completely ripped off. Be advised- I will write every consumer agency and commission I can find regarding you thieves.

Great website, you pick coverage and deductible and payment comes up. Coverage is really good and also all gaskets are included in coverage when engine or transmission is concerned, not like others who charge extra for gaskets!

I should have listened to all the horrible negative reviews about Olive.com and the QBE Insurance, but I chose price over quality so I hope I can prevent you from doing the same thing. I bought my used vehicle with no issues, no check engine light, nothing, on 11/12/22. Passed complete inspection at the dealership. I requested my first quote from Olive.com on 11/22 and again 11/28. Received an email from an Olive representative on 11/28. After a lot of research and back and forth with the Olive.com representative, I chose Olive over another warranty company due to competitive pricing and coverage. Policy was effective 12/8/22. My vehicle ran great and had no indication of any issues what so ever.
On 12/19 my check engine light came on, so I called Audi dealer immediately and took it in on 12/20 for a diagnostic. Was told it needed about $5,000 in repairs. $3,000 of the repairs were directly related to the check engine light and the code it was triggering. Olive DENIED the warranty claim stating it was considered "pre-existing" because apparently the computer recognized the code on 11/24, even though the actual check engine light did not even come on until 12/19!
When I purchased this policy, my vehicle ran great (and still does, which is odd), and there was absolutely NO indication of my vehicle having any issues whatsoever! So how is this even considered a pre-existing condition? And, for them to deny the entire claim, even the portion that is not related to the check engine light, that should be covered no matter what! This company is bogus, and they do not take care of their customers, so beware!!! Also, the Audi dealership stated that this company does not cover OEM, only aftermarket or used parts, so another reason to beware of this company! Horrible overall and you will absolutely regret choosing this company over another, learn from my mistake and pay the extra money for a much better warranty company that actually prides themselves on taking care of their customers!
We at olive take all of our reviews seriously and have looked into your comment carefully. After investigating we have learned that per QBE, the check engine codes were set on November 24, 2022, prior to the start date of your policy on December 8th. Under the terms of the policy, a condition that existed prior to the policy purchase date is not covered, whether the condition was known or unknown. Since the failure to the right and left intake manifolds occurred prior to the policy purchase date, QBE denied the claim for their repairs.
Per QBE, the repair facility did not find a failure on the driver’s door window, only that the motor mounts were leaking. Since the motor mounts leaking did not prevent the driver’s door window from functioning, there was not a failure of a covered part. Therefore, QBE denied the claim. Per QBE, the repair of the fuel door actuator is less than the deductible for your policy. Therefore, QBE will not
be covering the cost of its repair. For any further questions or concerns regarding the claim determination, please contact QBE directly at (800)773-9980.

***CONSUMER WARNING! DO NOT USE OLIVE. THEY ARE A TOTAL SCAM.*** I recently purchased mechanical breakdown insurance through Olive and when my car actually broke down they denied my claim stating the reason was "wear and tear" even though the part that broke was supposed to last the entire lifetime of the engine, so therefore they don't have to approve my claim even though the parts are listed as COVERED on the terms and conditions.
Olive gives themselves an out for not paying claims by stating the reason (any) breakdown occurs is due to "wear and tear" of the part(s) and/or it's up to the customer to "prove" that the part(s) that did break down were due to a defect/error made when the part(s) were originally manufactured. How is a customer supposed to do that? (I asked the repair shop and they laughed and said that it's impossible for a customer to be able to prove that.) ***CONSUMERS BEWARE: OLIVE IS A SCAM.***

Olive was the easiest to deal with and they had a good plan. It made sense and the customer service was easy to talk to. They made it clear and simple. The claims process was perfect and the only thing was that it took a little bit longer than if I were to go to a regular shop. But all the terms that I signed up for were met and there were no complications with the warranty. I knew what I bought and I used it for what it covered. The key was to know that they want to try to find aftermarket parts. It's gonna drag things on with a dealer. But now I know.

I had Olive before, and the credit card had lapsed, and I didn’t renew it. So, I called them back, and it's four times the price of what I was paying before. But it's always good to have coverage. But there's a lot to be desired during the setup process. It should be a lot more streamlined. I've had warranties in the past, and anytime I needed to use them, there was always some caveat where I didn't qualify for that repair. So, I'm hoping that's not the case with Olive.

I've bought in the past two years three policies from Olive. Two times, I did it online. And one time, I did it over the phone. Every time, it was simple. Purchasing took five minutes. The only thing that's difficult is the fine print. For example, between tier one and tier three. It says things that it's covered. But when you look at the actual fine print, sometimes it can be difficult to know if a part is covered or if am I paying for too much coverage. Can I get away with a smaller amount? But the price was fair.

Olive had to keep asking me about my mileage because it was low and they didn't believe me at first. But they do now. Once I was signing up, they gave me a direct line. They told me they were gonna send me a link so I can put it on my phone to make the direct connection. If anything electrical or a computer system goes wrong, it can be a lot. If it's a transmission, that's $3,000 or $4,000. For me to buy this coverage, it's very economical.

I had a really good experience with the rep I spoke to several months ago. I was only information gathering at the time and then I followed up with her when I was ready to purchase. Unfortunately, I got no response. The rep that I did speak to when I signed up was knowledgeable but somewhat dismissive, abrupt, and not great with customer service. For any other product or service, it may have been more of a concern but I was already calling to sign up, so it wasn't that big of a deal. Also, the coverage seems okay.

Olive is not going to pay for the costs or the repair for what they deem to be pre-existing conditions. I've only been with them a couple of months and I’m still learning. I made one claim and I was a little disappointed. I purchased the Olive auto warranty on the same day that I took the car to the dealership. However, the dealership had my vehicle abnormally long. They had it for nine days. They hadn't even looked at my vehicle because they were backed up. I didn't know what was wrong with my car because it doesn't tell you all that. Once they finally were able to tell me what the issues were with the vehicle and I called to file a claim, Olive said that they considered it a pre-existing condition before I had the policy, even though it didn't even get looked at till Day Eight to even tell me what was wrong with it that they weren't going to honor that.
It was a little tough pill to swallow knowing that it was an abnormal situation. I totally get it if it was one of those things where on the same day that I signed up for the service, they were able to tell me for sure what was wrong with it and then they started working on it. It just didn't matter. They didn't cover anything. I live on the West Coast and when I signed up with Olive, I didn't realize that they were on East Coast time. So, it might be a little bit more difficult to get in contact with somebody because this is probably close to them closing. It's a different situation and it’s hard. I'm trying to give Olive a little bit of a benefit of the doubt, but it hasn't been a great experience so far.
Ernesto, we are sorry to hear of your car's breakdown. However, per terms and conditions, we do not cover pre-existing conditions. The policy you purchased is for UNEXPECTED breakdowns, as you were planning to have your car repaired prior to purchasing the policy, that is pre-existing failure. If all conditions are repaired, you will be covered for anything NEW that happens.

The reason we chose Olive was that the reviews were good. Also, they seemed very reasonable. I wanted to know what the coverage would cover and when we applied on their site, they gave us options and they showed us how much we would pay for the different sets of coverage, which is very useful when you're trying to do that. Signing up was super easy and I appreciated that they haven't really bugged me. They sent me my paperwork but they haven't sent me flyers. I don't seem to have been put on some sort of mailing list. I would recommend them.

I called olive due to my vehicle broke down, they gave me a list of repair shops to call and all Repair shop stated They do not work with olive due to they are hard to work with and they want the shops to put cheap parts on the Consumer Vehicle's (Faulty Parts). I Have two written statements from shops. I spoke with customer service. The manager will reach out, at this point I'm stuck with the repair bill and has been paying olive faithfully. I will like all my money back for both vehicles.
According to our terms and conditions:
PARTS REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT
Replacement of parts shall be made with parts of like kind and quality, which may include new, remanufactured, rebuilt, refurbished, reconditioned, or used parts. Aftermarket parts that meet original equipment
specification may also be used. At times it may be necessary to request repair facilities to send out parts for
refurbishing at special facilities. You may also request a betterment offer in which You may pay the difference
between the part We authorize and the part You wish to use (Example: We will authorize a rebuilt part but You
wish to use a new part. We will pay the amount that we would authorize towards the new part and You will pay the
difference).
You absolutely can get the parts you want, but we will reimburse at a equivalence of the approved parts and there will be cost to you.

I liked the service that I was given initially. It was better and a lot less badgering than some of the other guys that keep calling me over and over. The rep I spoke with on the phone was really good. She got me through the process of purchasing and helped me rationalize what would be the best coverage. One thing though is that I'm disappointed that one of my vehicles that were supposed to be covered didn't get covered and I didn't find out about it until weeks later. They revoked it and said "Sorry. We don't cover your vehicle.” And through no fault of my own. All the information was there right up front. Now, I have to go back to the dealership and I have to pay for another inspection so that they can warranty the vehicle.

But lately, I call them about some more information that I want to share with him and I told him to call me back. He never did.

I'm here in California and I didn't want to deal with somebody out of state. I wanted someone local and Olive is in Walnut, California. Their rep was really diligent. I had a few trust issues and he helped me work through those. I work for a car dealership and we have a warranty company also. But I see people get screwed sometimes. I had to check that stuff with the Olive rep. He made me comfortable and called me back. We called each other back three times within that one hour and got things done.
I only wanted engine and transmission coverage because the type of car I have is known for having problems here and there with the valvetrain. I haven't had any problems with the car but it feels good knowing that I have a warranty and some support. On the whole, it was a pretty good experience. I've only made one payment and the next one is coming up. It's an easy payment. It's not hard to dig up 55 bucks.

Olive was willing to work with me. Instead of me paying for the warranty, Olive was willing to work with me to do an installment for the warranty. I have to have a lot of my information online, and I called to complete the purchase. I have filed a claim with them. The claim process was easy but when it comes to them actually paying, I was quite disappointed because they were trying to have some cheap product put on the car, but the mechanic objected to it saying that if they were to order that product to be put on that car, it’s not gonna work for that vehicle. So, they offered to send their own parts. They kind of said, “No. The parts will not work because the vehicle is a Jaguar. They have to be a Jaguar replacement part.” Because of that, I had to come out of pocket for almost $300 difference to cover the difference that Olive was not willing to cover.

I was contacted for several months by a girl from Olive, and it seemed like she knew everything. Olive didn't cover things like they said they would. I got the head-to-toe coverage. Then, they said that the problem I had was a previous problem. So, it didn’t make sense. I've called and talked to a regular customer service who had to transfer me somewhere. I never get to speak to anybody.

The guy I was dealing with seemed helpful and not pushy and I liked that. I already talked to a few other people but I was tired of doing the shopping. Olive had a reasonable price, so I went with them. I got the top-of-the-line policy because it was going to cover everything. They sent me the policy on my email but I've been busy and haven’t had a chance to look at it or download it. So, I'll have to do that to make sure I'm okay.

I set up the coverage myself online with Olive. You can just easily scroll across them. It said what my car would qualify for and what the prices were. It was cheaper online. They had given me a quote originally that was more money. So I saved a little bit doing it myself.

I asked the rep from Olive a couple of questions and he was good because I had talked to a couple other warranty companies versus what they had to say. They were sales people and would try to get you to be skeptical of whatever you were receiving with Olive or any other warranty. Even the dealership tried to sell me a third-party warranty and it was $4,000.
I've repaired enough vehicles and for a long time, I was just driving inexpensive vehicles. But now that I've got a small child, I don't want to have to be out repairing vehicles in the middle of the night and I wanted something that was safe. The warranty was right around $900, so even if I had to have one or two repairs done, there's a good chance that it would offset the entire price of the warranty. Granted, everyone would win if I didn't have to have any repairs done through the warranty. Nobody ever wants to use their warranty. It's like automotive insurance, where you pay thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars and you hope that you never have to use it, but you don't wanna be uninsured. When you have an almost new vehicle, you hope you don't have to use the warranty, but it's also a nice peace of mind to have.
The only issue that I had was, the rep from Olive called me back when I initially signed up because I did not have the exact mileage. They ran a CARFAX on the vehicle and the mileage was off by 63 miles. At the time, I was like, "Well, okay." It might be good if they clarify that they pull the actual CARFAX so they need the exact odometer reading. I tried to send them over a picture and everything is all squared away now. I haven't heard anything back.

Initially, the person did a good job setting me up. I told him that if this was anything less than what Mercedes was offering me, I didn't want it. He reassured me that the policy or that the warranty is just as good as Mercedes and probably offered some things that Mercedes does not. We thought we could use the coverage this past week because we have been paying on it for quite some time now. My husband needed a gas pump and we called Olive. My husband’s initial thought was that there could be no engine if there wasn't a gas line going to the engine to make the car start. But Olive said they didn’t cover it and it ended up costing us money. They never explained to us how come it wasn't part of the coverage.

Purchasing Olive was simple and what they said was what they did. The rep was also extremely knowledgeable. The process is nerve-racking, going to the dealership to getting everything done. But she explained that these dealerships deal with us as well, too. With the very first time that I made a claim with them, they took care of some thermostat housings. The dealership that I bought my truck from, was familiar with them. They were happy and said, "Don't worry, everything's gonna get taken care of." We're happy because we've dealt with them and we were gonna get paid. I recommended Olive to several people that have taken up the offer on them too.

They cover everything except for regular oil changes and all that consumable stuff. They were also really easy to talk to. The rep explained it as the closest thing I can get to a dealer warranty. Then he sent me an email that said it's 36 months or up to 185,000 miles. So, that was pretty self-explanatory.

I had a bad experience with Olive because they lied to me. I don't like what they did at all. I recorded the gentleman when he first gave me the plan and I told him what was going on with the vehicle. I told them my concerns and that some things occurred before buying the warranty, like the oil leaks. The transmission had a clutch issue and I gave them the paperwork from the dealer. The gentleman said it should be fine. Now, I have to pay for the car. It's in the shop, which is not right, and I would like to contest that if I could. Olive didn't keep their part of the bargain. Nobody's doing anything about it.
I wasn't expecting Olive to fix the whole vehicle. But I was thinking maybe, since the gentleman told me things, maybe they always happen. I didn't have any leaks when I had the vehicle before the insurance. But it's no problem. I'm taking care of it. I just wish that I would have known. I probably could look for something better that would assist me. Olive is a good program, but they should have been upfront because I did tell them. It wasn't like everything was perfect. But it's okay.

I liked olive's pricing. The higher deductible was a little bit scary to me, but it made me feel like it's a better deal because people would be less likely to make unwarranted claims. But when I submitted a claim, they denied everything and said that my car had pre-existing conditions, which I was not aware of. And they refused to pay any of the repairs. So, I cancelled the contract.

The coverage that Olive offered on my vehicle was very good. They’ve been very communicative. It took me a while to get my policy like there wasn't a follow-up. But I sent them an email, yesterday, asking where the policy was, and they immediately sent it over this morning. They were Johnny-on-the-spot. I blame COVID for everything because they're probably working remotely. But they were quick about answering any questions.

I had Olive before and I just let it lapse. I couldn't afford it at the time, and I finally got in the position where I can get it back. When I had it before, it was really good service and they were very efficient. Out of all the companies, Olive was the only one that would accept my car. I used to drive share rides, Lyft and Uber, and a lot of places did not want to cover my car. Olive's reps were upbeat, friendly, and professional.

The company that I was with merged with Olive. According to Nevada law, you’re supposed to be given a 30-day notice before the company merges. I never got that 30-day notice even though they said they sent it to me. Things really went south when I went to Olive. They charged more money. If I had been given 30 days by the previous company, I would have had the car inspected to see if there was anything wrong with it. That was my complaint. Olive said to take the issue up with the previous company but they’re gone. Other than Olive's coverage is not as good, it was fine.

I chose Olive because it was one that had monthly premiums like a regular auto insurance policy would have rather than an all upfront like when you buy a car. The thing, however, is they are horrible when it comes to claims service. The entire claims process is very difficult. In the policy, there are excluded parts they don't cover. But there's a clause in there that they cover collateral damage to parts that are covered. I did a claim when the alternator started overcharging the two batteries in my trucks that were only two months old. The alternator went out and fried the batteries.
Olive replaced the alternator but they would not replace the batteries that the alternator fried because they don't cover batteries. The battery warranty wouldn't cover the batteries because the batteries were fried due to the alternator going, not because of a manufacturer defect of the batteries. The claims department at Olive is horrendous.
I also did a claim when the turbo went out in my old truck. It was a major issue. The shop told Olive that my truck really should’ve had a new engine in it because what caused the turbo to fail ended up being an issue that caused oil to sludge. It plugged the turbos so the turbo failed. When the turbo failed, it threw oil through the intake and the exhaust. Olive said they didn't cover the exhaust system. The dealer said it was collateral damage. At that time, Olive covered the turbo and the collateral damage. The dealer said the truck should get a new engine but Olive was not willing to work that far. One oil change later, it loosened sludge somewhere else within the engine from whatever caused it to sludge up and it plugged the oil pump. It was a catastrophic engine failure and the crankshaft broke. The Olive claims department said they were not fixing it. That diesel engine only had 138,000 miles on it.
On the whole, we got a little bit of help from Olive but I wouldn't recommend them to anybody. I had a policy on my wife’s Yukon XL too. They denied the claim on her transmission solely because I messed up and authorized the transmission shop. They said, “You can take it to the shop of your choice,” which I did. But apparently, I didn't get their authorization for a repair before I told the shop to do the rebuild. They would have wanted to have the shop take the transmission out instead of the transmission shop rebuilding the transmission, sending the transmission off, and installing a factory rebuilt transmission in it. It would cost less to put a factory rebuild.
Parts, pricing, labor costs, and the such are regulated by an insurance and claims commission. Those guidelines are not in our hands.

Olive is a good company. I have two policies with them. They provide great service. They are direct. They're nationwide. You can go to any repair shop. They have good communication with the repair shop. The hours are good. When I called, they gave me clear instructions about my plans, what's covered and what's not covered. I got the platinum one which would cover everything. There was an issue with my credit card but it got resolved.

Their website logged out several times. It didn't really save my quote even though the email was sent to me saying that, “Oh, you can finish your quote.” When I click on it, it said there was an error and had to be redone again. But besides that, after a couple of times, it was okay. My rep was good at breaking down the three plans that Olive Had. She told me that the Tesla required the Complete Care in order to be able to cover everything, especially for electricals.

My coverage effective date was to start 10/04/2021. I used OLIVE's network and branch REPAIR PAL, and brought my car to Hillmuth Certified Automotive for repair. I called them on 10/25/21 to ensure I did everything correctly just to be notified that they were not going to pay my bill because my coverage had not started. I have VEHICLE SERVICE PLAN DECLARATION PAGE that says otherwise from olive. My total for repairs were 7,346.78. Fuel injectors for my Mercedes glk350 2013 were $4773 and $2573 for labor.
Firstly the mechanic had these parts crafted by NASA to be this expensive. I was not notified of this. I could have found some for thousands less and still be new. Secondly my wife took ill so coming up with $7,346 was extremely difficult. A few months passed and they put a mechanic's lien on it. I had $6,213 saved for my goal of $7,346.78 and then the total went to $9,570. A few weeks later guess who buys the LIEN. The same repair facility. Throughout this process olive backed out on its word to me and refused to help in any way. I have been without a vehicle for about a year now, still paying for the car lease even though the repair facility sold my car. This is the worst experience of my life. My vehicle was legally stolen from my possession and sold leaving me to pay $20,000 for a car lease for a vehicle I don't have anymore. I have all the documents.

I got the warranty that’s right in the middle because the full warranty from Olive was not as cheap. It's almost double the price of what I pay for another full one. I called when I first got the car and then after two months. Three months after was when I got the warranty and the price was so different that I got to the point where I needed to sign up or next month, they were going to charge me $100 for it, what was not fair. It’s not that I’m adding up a lot of miles. It’s just 1,000 miles per month, which is what usually people calculate. As soon as you got the price, if you drive the car for a little bit, the price is already different. So I do not agree with that. I spoke to a person on the phone and I asked how they increased it $30 over 2,000 miles. If the car has 82,000 miles, 2,000 miles is nothing, but it went over 50% of the price. The rep said she followed what the system gave to her. That was crazy.
At least this year, I have the transmission, engine and all those things covered. But I don't have cameras. My car is full of technology. But one was $40 and the other was $76. They were almost charging me a full new warranty just for the technology pack. But the purchasing process was very easy. You go online and put the VIN number for the car. It is fast but at the same time, I don't know how fair it is. Because you just to go through whatever the system gives to us. And even the person that we call just go through whatever the system shows. The person is great but the system is not.

The signup was pretty good. They sent me a quote within a couple of minutes and I was able to sign the paperwork online and make my first payment. But they could be a little more specific on what they offer on their plans. The plan I picked covers half of the heating ventilation system in the car and not the half that I ended up with a problem with. Other than that, they seem responsive anytime I gotta call them.

I had an extended vehicle warranty contract with Uproar.car. Olive bought Uproar.car and assured everyone that nothing would change about their coverage. Months later I'm informed that my coverage is being cancelled and I can sign up for a new plan with Olive for an astronomically higher premium, fewer benefits, and a higher deductible. Blatantly dishonest. Avoid.
Again, sorry for the change to the Uproar coverages, and your disappointment with the transition. We are here if you decide to give us a chance to change your perspective about our peace of mind coverage.

I had issues with my warranty provider when one time I called in and there was one guy who thought I was trying to cheat the company and some problem I had with the car. I switched to Olive. They gave me a good deal and their sign-up process was excellent. It was fairly easy and right away. They gave me everything the other company had. I wanted the three-year deal at a certain monthly payment and they were able to do it for me.

Olive offered me the type of plans that I needed and the representative was very courteous and knowledgeable. I had to use Olive about two weeks ago and I had no problems. When I turned the air conditioner on, the motor revved up high and when I cut the air conditioner off, the motor was still revving high, but not as high as when I had the air conditioner on. Then, when I was driving and hit a bump, I heard a low noise.
When I took the car into the dealer to get it worked on, they told me it was motor mounts and I had a couple other issues and service to keep up the service on it. So, I had a couple other things that Olive did not cover. But out of $2,400, I had to pay $900 and Olive covered the rest. I recommended Olive to another employee and she checked it out. But her car was 20 years old and it had a lot of mileage on it so she went with another company that offered her a little something better. But Olive takes care of me. I work so I can pay my bills and right now, I'm good to go.

Olive was the first thing that came up when I googled warranties and I thought, “If they're paying for their ads to be on Google, maybe it's something good.” I called and everything seemed legit. Everything was good and everybody was really nice. I didn't end up keeping the policy because I did the math and chose to get a warranty from the dealership where I bought my car from. The guys at Olive really tried to keep me on the policy when I didn't need it. I did like how there was a small monthly payment as that was convenient. But at the same time, I just bought the warranty out the door. I didn't have to pay out of pocket for the whole thing. If I stayed with Olive, I would have been paying more at the end. If I had no other warranty and if I didn't get the one from the dealership, I would have stayed with Olive.

I found that Olive does business in California so I got their warranty. I read up on it. I called them and they sent me the information over an email. Once a month, they take money out of my bank account. An extended warranty is like an insurance policy. Every time I change the oil on the truck, I keep the receipt. I put a battery in it this month and I saved the receipt for the battery so I'm keeping all my maintenance records so that if I ever do have a problem, I have everything documented that I service my truck at regular intervals.

I'm disappointed with their service. Olive scammed me. Refused to fixed my vehicle. I want a refund. No excuses. I rather deal with ASE.... Why deal with the middle man.. I would recommend Olive to anyone.... And I give Olive 5 zeros for their review....

The service representative called me and went over everything. I got the full-service package that covers everything for three years or 185,000 miles, including electrical. I pay monthly and I have a $500 deductible. I'm very happy with my experience and I have recommended my mother-in-law to set up an extended warranty on her car.

The reps explained everything but while they were explaining, I was looking at a flyer Olive sent me, and I was looking at what it was saying. It turned out good. I hope I don't have to use Olive but if I do, they’re saying they’ll take care of me. It's nice to know that I have that in my back pocket to use just in case. I can't beat the price. I had a different service with my car and I was paying 100 something dollars for it a month, and this is way less. I like it because it covers just as much and maybe more. I'm retired. I'm on a fixed budget and the payment fits my budget perfectly. I'm not spending a bunch out every month. I love the service that Olive provides. I already referred my cousin. She's gonna get a new car within the month and I gave her the flyer that Olive sent me. I told her not to get anything from where they’re getting the car from and to use that. She plans on doing it so I already got Olive one new customer.

The person I talked to was wonderful as well as the communication with Olive. They were very good salesmen and explained the whole thing to me. I got the drivetrain warranty and I haven’t had to call Olive yet for anything but I hope I don’t have to. Everything so far is doing good. They haven’t bugged me at all and the money is coming right out of the bank without a problem.

I took the car in for a service claim and Olive is not paying anything on it. The thermostat went bad in my Audi. It was discovered during inspection. I had it towed in due to that, and told the dealership to do an inspection as well. They had a dispute with Olive about the amount of hours. They wanted to bill six hours. Olive wanted to pay two. They called me, got me involved in the middle. I talked to the folks at Olive. And I said, “Okay, I see your point. It’s what your book says,” although their book is wrong. My own Chilton's manual says it’s six hours. So they went ahead and fixed the car.
The dealership talked to these people three times, and I talked to them twice. At the end of everything, it’s covered under their warranty, what is supposed to be fixed, but they said they never gave permission for the repair, which I didn’t understand. Because we had that dispute, between me and him with me agreeing to the hours, and he talked to the dealer again. And at the end, they said, “We’re not paying that. You didn’t get permission.” I said, “You know how many hours we spent on the phone with you people? What do you mean no permission?” I had to drive up to the dealership twice and was on the phone with these people with the mechanic. How was that not permission?
It doesn’t makes sense. Because the man told me on the phone, “I’ll tell them to go ahead and make the repairs since you agreed to the hours,” which I didn’t have a choice. I had to agree. That was all they would pay. I submitted the claim, and they said, "We're not paying this. You didn't get the permission." Plus, there was eight to nine people involved within that company, and that bugged me. Because I had warranties before, and I never had to get involved on any claims.
I did a little research, and there's a lot of folks who don't think too much of Olive. I don't know what they're using for hours guidelines, and I don't know how they can dictate to a mechanic how long something takes anyway. But I looked at their shop manual and it says 6.2 hours for a qualified mechanic. I got a Chilton’s manual on my car, and sure enough, it says six hours if you know what you’re doing. Because this thing is in the middle of the engine. They have to tear all these stuff out of the way. It’s not like a normal thermostat. It's actually a computer thing. And I didn’t argue the hours with them because I realized there was no sense in that. They got their own guide sheet, even though it appears to be out of date and completely wrong.
This just ended two weeks ago. I sent the claim in again with a cover letter and faxed it to Olive, asking if they would reconsider paying it. Because out of the 2,400 bucks, they only offered to pay 400 of it anyway, which I thought was bad. They talked a good game, but they didn’t play one. I'm not happy with them. I'm canceling them.

I contacted Olive and spoke to Dennis. He gave me the rundown of what coverage plan was best for me or which one would cover what I was concerned about, which took me a little bit of time to finally commit, but we finally pulled the trigger on it. Signing up was pretty simple. The fact that my policy started the next day was nice.

I was doing a search on the internet on a bunch of different warranty companies and Olive came up number one. I spoke with a representative and I finished signing up by doing it online myself. Their customer rep was very knowledgeable and friendly. As far as getting set up online, it was very easy to find what you needed to fit what you needed. There were three different types of policies that I could go with.

My experience with Olive has been favorable. The only problem that I had was they kind of bait-and-switched me. They quoted me one price, and they ended up settling on one that was substantially higher. I told them that I had 120,000 in my car. Then when I actually did the warranty, I had 124,000 miles. They said because I had more miles on it than what I said, the price would go up, which doesn’t make any sense to me. It seemed to me that the price would go down, but they said that the price had to go up.

The representative who helped me get the policy was good. He was very clear in telling me what the right plan should be. I had some deductible to lower down the monthly cost. So in case there is a breakage, it's okay to pay a $500 deductible. I just got the policy, and some of the things I liked were the flexible payments option and monthly payments. The coverage was good as well. They were detailed enough.

I wish that the description of the policy that I bought would simply say, “We cover everything except this.” But it doesn't do that. It's really complicated. My vehicle is essentially new. It's only three years old. So, the powertrain is still covered for another two years. But I thought, since Consumer Reports won't even recommend the Subaru Ascent anymore, even though we've had no trouble, it seemed to me that it made no sense to spend 1,100 bucks for another three years worth of coverage.

Olive Auto Warranty offered a price that I could afford and still maintain the coverage that I would need. And they did a good job of informing me of what it covered as an insurance over a warranty, and what that means. They talked about the different parts and everything that would be covered. And they also followed up and sent me a hard copy. The fact that I have it brings me a lot of confidence that should I need something, I know that I’m covered.

I learned about Olive and thought it would seem like a good option. When I went out, it was ConsumerAffairs who said, “Hey, by the way, this is who we would recommend.” I spoke with the representative from Olive for a long time, just asking questions. He was personable and very knowledgeable, and he answered my questions. And it felt it would be, “Okay, will this do what I needed to do, which is provide full coverage for my vehicle as needed, and with the deductible?" Of course, I wanted to go with the best service. I ended up signing up at that time. I went to a website and put my information. But he signed me up on the phone.

The person I talked to from Olive was really nice on the phone. He answered my questions really well, so I was able to say okay to him. He wasn’t pushy. I felt comfortable enough to ask questions and tell him, “I’ll think about it.” He didn’t make me feel pressured which is really a good thing. He told me what the quote was and asked me what I was looking for. I told him what I was looking for, and he found me a decent price that I was able to afford. It covers the basic stuff that I want to have on my ‘18 Altima.

I tried to go through Ford, but their program was way over above my head. I went on the internet looking at several different companies and I was a little skeptical about it because of giving out information and not knowing exactly if it's reputable. I tried to find that out first before I went ahead and signed up. I talked to somebody at Olive personally, and she sent me the things about the different ratings. It eased my mind a little. I like the fact that they explained to me about the different types of packages, and when they found that my car had less than 100,000 miles on it, I qualified for a certain coverage. I liked that. I also shopped around, and their price was good.
Olive emailed me something about the coverage, but I like to have something I can hold in my hand and read. I asked for written stuff, and I got the package, but I haven't read it yet. I also talked to them yesterday and I was glad I did because I was calling to do my payment. They told me it was automatically set up and to use the card that I had. I didn't know that, so I gave them my bank information because I would rather for it come out of there than to be charged through a credit card every month.

I bought out the lease on my car and wanted a warranty on it. I investigated lots of different companies and was getting some really bad feedback. I contacted ConsumerAffairs to see what they recommended and Olive came up on the list. I contacted them and they were wonderful. It was a real change of pace from the others that I had spoken with. I talked to one company and I was asking questions about what their warranty covered and what the restrictions were. The guy hung up on me rather than answer my question. It wasn’t that way with Olive at all. I was pleased with the sales process and the person I talked to. Olive had what I was looking for and they were very helpful. Olive's cost was good, but besides that, my main reason for getting it was it was in effect right away. I went to some other sites that I put my information in, but there was a waiting period before the contract became active. Olive also has three different options that one can choose from, whether someone wants to go with Grade A, B, or C. A covers a lot more things than B, but then B and C are a little cheaper than A. I took a look at the different coverages as far as the vehicle and what parts of the engine it covered at the time.
I spoke to a representative initially when I got all of this set up, and he explained things to me. I asked him a ton of questions about how it worked, if I got in an accident or if some particular engine part failed. It was a number of car maintenance and troubleshooting or scenarios that I asked him about. We got it set up, but then my bank card got lost. I got my it renewed, but I forgot to go back online to update the information on Olive.
I was covered for most of that year. By the time I got a notification through email from Olive, it already lapsed. When I reapplied, I did everything online. It was option number two that I selected, and submitting the information via the website went smooth. Olive then found the original application that I had on file with them. I reactivated it, but it cost me more, because I had less miles on that car at the time. I hope nothing happens to my car, but if something did, I would like to be assured that it will be covered, especially if it’s nothing of my fault. With every service maintenance agreement, you have to keep records of your maintenance and you got to do it on the intervals the manufacturer required.

I didn't want to buy a warranty through the dealer that I bought my 2014 Mercedes Benz through. I wanted to see what was out there. I called a couple of places and Olive seemed to be the cheapest with the most coverage. Some of the companies didn’t even offer the kind of warranty or coverage in California. The sign-up process with Olive was very positive. It was pretty fast, which was nice. The plans offered were pretty good.

Customer service was great and super helpful. The rep gave me links to look at all my options and stuff on monthly plans and got it figured out. Everything was pretty much perfect and I was satisfied. When considering an extended coverage, be aware of what it would cover, like drivetrain, electrical, and anything that has to do with your engine. Look at the deductible too.

Olive looks simple on the website and that was also the only one that was near me in California. I first called and speak with them about cases of an event happening. They just told me about it. I went ahead and did the enrollment online. It was great. When I had a claim, I took the car to a certified repair facility. The service advisor handled things with Olive and I was not involved with anything.

olive's reps let me know what to expect, what was covered, and what wasn't covered. But even when you go through a mechanic, you still don't know what's covered. I had done an oil change then I ended up coming home with an oil leak, so I took my car in to have that addressed. It turned out that it was due to the oil cooler seal, the housing of the oil filters, and the solenoid seal. After that, I had to take it back and it was a turbo coolant line that I had problems with. That did not get covered and I ended up having to pay for that.

So many of those auto warranty places are so salesy and pushy. But Olive wasn't like that at all. Everything was done online and you can see everything. It was an easy, laid back process. They asked me which plan I wanted, and then I just clicked on it. They didn't require a deposit. Also, the price was pretty reasonable. But I canceled it because I traded in that truck. They refunded the money that I had paid right away.

The gentleman sold me on Olive but with the experience that I'm going through right now, I'm not too happy with it. They were supposed to look at my sunroof and when I called to get the status on the claim, the guy told me that it was not going to be covered. He told me it was because my suspension was modified. I asked what it had to do with my sunroof. He asked if I wanted my sunroof fixed and I said yes. He said that the inspector that went out there inspected the sunroof but there's nothing on note. It's just saying on my suspension. I said that I knew my suspension wasn't going to get covered. But at least, I should get my sunroof covered because I'm paying $265 a month on this. I'm waiting for Olive to call me and I'm getting ready to cancel it.

The customer service reps were responsive for both in the email and the phone call. And follow-ups, they promised and delivered on their follow-up times. The response time was very appreciated. Take a look at what is covered. Some of the warranties may not cover the electricals and all the modern equipment that come with the car, and paying attention to those details will be really helpful.

I dealt with a person named Saeed. I did an online quote request, and he contacted me. During our conversation, I had several questions and what he did is he emailed me. For example, he emailed me a sample contract so that I could review it and then a few other links. He did that within five minutes after our phone call, then from there, I kept in touch with him because he was so responsive. He responded to my emails almost instantly, and every time I called, he answered.

I looked up different companies that were credible in being a bumper-to-bumper warranty offering company through ConsumerAffairs. I found Olive and had great experience with them. I'm glad that company's around in order to offer bumper-to-bumper coverage on warranties. The lady that I had on the phone was great. She took her time and did the full explanation of what would be covered and where I would need to go in order to have my repairs done. There is a local place and it's only 15 minutes away. I also understand that there is a deductible in order for me to have stuff done, but this is my peace of mind to where I don't lose my vehicle that hauls myself, my children and my fiancé around. People need to make sure that their deductible isn't gonna be through the roof and that it is a local shop or close to them where they're not gonna have to drive for hours in order to have their vehicle fixed.

The service I got from Olive was initially not really good. Two days later, I got a phone call from a lady and she again tried to convince me to go with the insurance. We started talking and I found out her incredibly knowledgeable. She introduced all three plans to me. I decided on a plan which covers all mechanics and electronics. When I made a decision, she said, "Outstanding choice because with the European cars produced in Germany or in England sometimes the electronics are the most expensive to repair." This lady completely erased the unpleasant feeling in my mind about Olive.
I gave her my payment methods. The only thing is I still have not set how I should pay the second payment. I did not get the option. She didn't introduce me to the option automatic payment from my Platinum Am Express, which is really the option I want to choose. I need to somehow pay the second payment now. I'm waiting for Olive to send me something. They sent me last week some summary sheet and attached to that was a packet card with information. But my grandson tore that apart. That was not really plastic but a kind of laminated something.

It was easy to get on the website and look at the coverage. Plus, they sent it to me and I got to read it over. I can cancel at any time. The only thing is the payment is taken out of an account that I have and I would rather see the bill.

Olive has the complete care and nobody else offered the complete care. The reps answered all my little questions. Everything was good. I got an email. They gave me a breakdown and how to file a claim and how to call the 800 number. And if something happens, try to find something that's reasonable.

The plan that I bought worked out the best for my vehicle because it's got a lot that goes into it. None of the other ones covered the turbocharger. So I needed one that covered that, and their premium did. They've also gotten back to me quickly every time that I've contacted them with questions about the warranty since purchasing it.

Olive is horrible. They started a policy for coverage on January 5th. The vehicle that was under coverage, a 2018 Chevy Sonic, belongs to my wife. The car was driven on the 6th to the 11th and it was the 12th when it wouldn't start. When the dealership looked into it, they said it was internal. There were no leaks but we needed a new motor. Now Olive is denying the claim for repairs. They said the vehicle had preexisting problems but there is none. In August of 2021, the vehicle went in for service at a dealership and they serviced it. It ran fine. Olive said the car doesn't operate. I told them the car operates. 12 miles were driven then we had a mechanical breakdown.
It's a $9,000 expense. I have a $500 deductible and they said, “Keep your 500. We're denying the claim and we are not going to help you out. But we will charge you up to 100,000 miles because you got 60,000 miles. Your premium’s every month.” That's unfair. They should be disclosing that if you have pre-existing problems, you will not get the warranty and they won't take the money. It's a scam. They don't want to refund the premiums too.

The people I spoke with were nice enough but the policy only covers manufacture defects, I am looking for a warranty on a 7 year old vehicle with 100k miles, so covering normal wear and tear is what I need if it fails, cover it if it is not normal maintenance, so did not work, and the referral to it was not some unbiased thing but really just an advertising site, approved patterns pay them and that is the only ones they suggest.

Olive's price was decent and for the type of car that I bought, it was the top choice. The Olive reps were pretty knowledgeable. They let me know what I needed to know. The first girl didn't quite know as much as the second one as far as renewing the warranty whenever it got to be past the three-year mark. The first one told me, "You won't be able to renew it." The second one said, "That's not completely true." She said I can renew after some mileage. It'll just be at a higher deductible.

The experience has not been very good right now. Olive messed up with the deductibles. They still owe me money, because they overcharged me. And I’m still waiting for a resolution, which leads me to believe that I may be in store for other experiences if we have a claim. I may have to dispute a credit card charge. It's not a lot of money, but it's two months. And for me, it's more a matter of principle. Someone should have taken ownership of this rather than me having to escalate this from one person to the other.

I input my requirements on the ConsumerAffairs website, my vehicle, and ConsumerAffairs matched me with Olive. I researched them myself, made sure they're a reputable company, and I liked the way they work. They’re very modern working with apps. So, it just made it a lot simpler for me to work with them. I took a while to respond to the initial quote. It was just due to some personal stuff going on. And they called me just to see if they could help me out with anything regarding the quote, if I had further questions. I had a question or two, which they answered, and I proceeded off to purchasing the insurance. They had different options on the different levels of cover, and I had to look through all the different things that they cover to find something that matches the age of my car and the risk that I'm willing to accept. But it was all fairly clear in the purchasing process. I had a pleasant experience.

The advertisement said all I had to do was sign up online. It was easy, except I got confused when I got a call. Sometimes when I respond to something on the internet, I get a flurry of calls from people. I was attracted to that ad because I thought, "Oh, cool, I can just sign up and I don't have to deal with somebody calling me." I just went back to the online application process and got it that way.

What I liked about Olive and why I went forward with them was they said that it covers mostly everything. And that's what I need, especially because my car is already older. I need something will be able to cover most of the issues that will start happening. I also liked the representative. Warranties are important. Most people don't see the value of it until something happens. Because prior to the extended warranty, I had to replace the whole computer. And I had to pay 5,300 upfront. So, I told the representative that helped me aand he assured me that with the extended warranty, I wouldn't have to pay that much upfront. Right now, something happened so I took my car to the dealer. And I am happy because I don't have to pay thousands of dollars. I just have to pay my deductible and one thing that the warranty didn't cover, but that was it, which I'm okay. I don't have to pay as much monthly or when a claim is open. It's affordable.

I just signed up with them and haven’t had to use them yet but registering was very simple and they called me back to tell me welcome and asked if I had any questions. I know my old company was good but very costly and never called or welcomed me on board. I wasn't ready to sign up right away because it was several months away from the manufacturer's warranty running out. So, there was no pressure. The rep gave me a quote and said that quote would be honored when I was ready. I got a couple of follow-up emails to make sure I didn't forget about it and then, there was a three months offer email, which I ended up taking advantage of. So, that was very good that they honored that when I finally signed up. I had a very positive experience, very professional, friendly and whenever I had a question, they got back to me right away.

I spoke to this really nice lady from Olive, and from the get-go, she explained what they are about, what they do and that I am under no obligation to join them. She started telling me what they covered, what they didn't cover, what options were good and what the prices were. Ten when I gave her the year, make and model and the mileage of my vehicle, she said, "Oh, you qualify for less money." So, I went ahead and went with them because they were very comfortable and they didn't pressure me at all. They're very easy to talk to. They haven't been around a long time as they explained to me, but they're more down-to-earth. The people that they have answer your questions, and they have the right answers. Whatever questions you ask them, they look to get you the right information, and that's what I liked about them.

Olive's headquarters is just down the street from where I live. It somehow made them seem a bit more trustworthy. And at the same time, their rate was really good. I got a quote, and I had somebody contact me from olive, and that person was professional.
