I wasn't current with my bill but was able to catch up and pay ahead today. And didn't loose coverage. I'm overall pleased with the service. I'm not looking forward to needing the service but it's nice to know I have it..

Hum? I don't know what it is that you want? I have seen your advertisements on television for many years, Not until I had a friend who has CarShield did it interest me. I always thought that it was one more way for some character to try and get money out of me. But my friend is very honest and reliable and convinced me that Car Shield is a credible company, so I guess I will find out. When I look back on how many car warrantee programs I have been with there are just too many major MALFUNCTIONS, to say it nicely, to mention. We shall see if this is everything that the hype and rumors say it is. But so far you all have treated me like family. Thank you for that.

You guys are very helpful and answered all my questions. Thank you, this is my first time using something like this and having regular car insurance. They don't cover what you guys do so hopefully everything works out, the first time when I called didn't give me all the details and I was going to cancel it and go with someone else but the lady on that phone call she explained it all again and I thank her so much for that.

Customer service representative was very patient in explaining policy pros & cons (only one con, the waiting period, which is very short). The incentive to get this policy was due to the senior and military discounts offered which lowered the monthly payment considerably.

The lady that helped me out that I got hung up on. I want to use service customer service trying to get me to my home insurance. But then she got very, very, very rude and hung up on me before I can even answer. Listen to your recorded line and you will see again. Like I said, I would love to stay with CarShield but not getting treated the way that lady treated me. Again I am a Vietnam veteran and I am nobody's dog sir so a lady was so rude. I would not recommend her for anything again thank you. Call Pakistan customer.

The problem ended up being the battery needed to be replaced so it did not require going into the shop for an appraisal so it worked out so thank you again for the great customer service and the follow up..

My only reason that I cancelled my contract with AutoShield was because I found another business and got a bumper-to-bumper warranty at a considerable lower price, in these times money matters!!

My radio went out and on the way to the shop the check engine light came on. Both would have been way too much for me to pay for and I would have had to let it sit and find rides to and from work which is impossible.

I would recommend CarShield and /or American Auto Shield to any and all people that are looking for this type of service. Every customer service representative I has the pleasure of speaking with was friendly and helpful and when it come time to file a claim I had zero difficulties in getting that done. It was for an automatic transmission and I thought that being such a high ticket item that I might encounter some issues along the way but I did not have any problems at all. Everything went smooth as a hot math through butter. I think it is also noteworthy to mention that I have, now in 2023, a 20 years old car and did not think that I would receive coverage for it but due to the low miles on the car I got the platinum coverage! Which, BTW, is the best and would recommend that to of the line plan to anyone that is looking for a car warranty! Great experience all around with this company!

I hope that in the future, when I need to file a claim, that I don't get a run around like the salesman gave me in the beginning with the price quote. It was not the cheapest like I had asked for. I had to call back and ask for an adjustment when I found out I could get it cheaper.

My vehicle broke down in February, took it to the shop. The shop contacted you guys with an estimate. Since then, it has been a very frustrated experience. All requests have been met but I’m still getting the runaround, all I need is someone to authorize the shop to fix my truck.

We're sorry to hear that. We show that there was a TSB(Technical Service Bulletin) related to this concern, and the shop was supposed to fix the TSB and then re-diagnose the issue and call into claims. We do not show that they have done so. Please have the shop call in as soon as possible.

The towing service I received was excellent. I am very dissatisfied with the service received from Louisville Automotive repair. The service rep Steve called me and told me they found a hose that had disengaged. Then he told me he wanted to put the car on the diagnostics machine (cost $145++) then told me it would cost $15++ each for 4 units of transmission fluid. When I received the bill, there was a charge for an additional $145 to clean the motor that I did not authorize. Cleaning of the motor was for his benefit (so he would not get dirty) as well as the car. There was another charge identified only as other services of $30++. As a senior citizen, I can hardly afford these exuberant costs... none of which other than the towing was covered by my warranty.

We do apologize, however, as you stated, cleaning was not necessary to repair the vehicle, so it would not have been covered by us. You would want to take that up with the shop that did not get your permission to do so before it was done.

Took quite a while and several requests to receive my information book for car coverage. After several requests finally withheld filling the consumer report until I received the pamphlet. When the pamphlet arrived I filled the consumer report. Read through the pamphlet and again find out the consumer report. Thank you.

Canceled due to car being sold. Otherwise I would have never left CarShield. Excellent 3rd party warranty for a vehicle. Luckily I only needed to use them one time but in that one time it was within the first month of signing with them and yet still had my back and fixed my car saving me $1,200.

Worst company ever. Liars. Scam artists. Worst company ever. I was given all the great details. The guy was great on the phone. I was torn because I still had time on my lease to decide if I'm keeping my car or getting a new lease. But the Carshield guy said it's a one time offer and the rate could change and not be the same. Said I have till March 31 to cancel. This was February 20 so we took the deal just in case. It was a down 150 deposit and would get it back if canceled. Never said anything about prorated amount anything or I would have to send a cancelation letter. He just wanted a sale. And he lied to we got the refund. It was 42 dollars out of 150. They robbed our money. They're scam artist. They rob and lie to you. Don't tell you everything. Don't trust this company. Ask all the right questions and shop around.

Read Bbb reports. 1st they have been reported already by many and now me. Saying my plan ended on the 20th I called the 23rd. Still the guy told me the 31st. Liars. Robbers especially during these hard times. They take people's hard earned money. Horrible disappointment in this business. Don't trust them. Not only will I be posting this review on every social media site and my friend said she would do it on her Insta and Tiktok who has well over a million followers but I'm contacting the Better business Bureau and channel 12 news. How can you rob your customers 2 days and you take 110 of my money that I could use to put food on the table to line your pockets during these hard times. Christina S.

The sales representative did not tell you that you had until the end of March to cancel for a full refund, he advised you had a 30 day money back guarantee review period that started the day of purchase. Where we think you may have gotten confused is he did say you had until March of 28' to cancel for a pro-rated refund if you got rid of the vehicle or anything like that. We understand that there is a lot of information gone over in the sales call, however, we can assure you this was all gone over with you properly. Asked about coverage. Nothing was covered. No other plan available to buy that would increase my coverage. Will check other companies. Nothing else to discuss. Would help to have a premium plan. All employees were very nice. Will check around.

Unfortunately, coverage is determined by the age and mileage of your vehicle, so if there wasn't a higher level of coverage available, then your vehicle may be too old or have too many miles for more components to be eligible for coverage. I believe CarShield is not fair. I had an issue a while back with an injector code which was fixed but you CarShield told me you don’t fix anything related to gas. I believe that was not a good thing. It cost me more than $500 to get my car fixed and I believe CarShield could have helped,

That's right all American made thru an thru. CarShield never skip a beat when asking questions. Let's say I do my research in advance. After done doing that I wait let it sink in. Sometimes another question comes up. Off I go looking for answer. When time comes I call being prepared in advance sets the tone on getting what I want out of business is the gold. With CarShield not once sat phone down transfer call or even disconnected call. That's rare. My aim is to trap em make em confess what they are selling not as true as they are advertising. I was in for a real test. CarShield doesn't repeat, doesn't carry on nonsense, disconnect phone call transfer call to nowhere while you wait listening to piano music played by a 3 year old. This is hard to find into days fast times.

CarShield not once miss a beat. On top of every question I ask. Straightforward, relax, control. Honestly knew they knew their business. They don't know how question was coming at me before could answer. CarShield would give answer I never thought of or researched. I was in awe what was told. I wanted in. I wanted be part of a Team that is first class. Now I was getting nervous why my truck 23 years old 92450 miles I really felt no way going to put a warranty on it. CarShield did outstanding!

I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs an honest straightforward warranty company. My vehicle developed a problem before my policy actually started. I called customer service, explained what happened and was issued an immediate refund. These people are the greatest.

Because of the downturn in the economy and the uncertainty about my ongoing income, I had to cancel my subscription. Your service was not at fault, here. It is the excessive spending, by the current political regime in office, that has put me and countless others in an economic vice, by not having the ability to continue with the service that you offer. Maybe, in 2024, if we have a successful political regime change, my situation will change for the better, and I will be able to re-enroll in the service that you offer.

I had lost the keys to my car so I had to have my car towed to the Chevy place to have a new set of keys made. It has the the keypad and the Chevy place is the only one that can make the key parts for it.

Everything I needed was completed. The help that I received was great. I had a problem with my payment, and it was taken care of. The whole thing was taken care of in less than 5 minutes. They asked if there was anything else I needed and there was none. It did make me think of a few thing that I had questions about but they were able to answer all my questions before I hung up. The people were great and made me feel like they cared. I felt like a valued customer.

I made numerous calls over the last four days about a claim. The customer service was the worst. No empathy! The first agent told me I could cancel my policy, then gave me a number to call to dispute (which was the Better Business Bureau) and finally offered a $30 discount on my policy saying that was the price I should have been charged to begin with not $109.99. This entire process was disastrous.

My main reason was the rear lift gate and a normal check up on the SUV. The rear gate would not stay open and kept shutting down on my back but mainly when it was cold. I was advised that it was not covered. But you did fix the timing chain. Another issue were the front Struts. They were not covered. The back gate is dangerous and should have been fixed. I will pay for the struts and the back gate. I am happy that the timing chain was fixed.

I was very disappointed in your guys' coverage. You won't cover diagnosis unless it's a part that is covered in the warranty. For example if I had a check engine light on and I brought it in to get checked out you won't cover the payment for the check engine light unless it was a part that was covered by the warranty. I find this very troubling and frustrating as a customers. Assume a car warranty It's gonna cover check engine lights.

That's correct. We can only cover diagnostics if it's a covered component. That is how all extended coverage works. It would not make sense for us to cover diagnosis on something that isn't covered. If you have any other questions or concerns, do not hesitate to give us a call.

The brake light come on my pickup truck and I took it to the dealer and it said the brake sensor module had went bad. They had to put a new brakes into module on for me. I am happy with the CarShield. They took care of what needed to be done. Thank you.

Thanks for your response, but I have no capability to determine who is telling me the truth, if dealerships are over charging, who can hold them accountable? What regulations are applied on them? Is a different subject. I have learned my lesson though.

Contract says parts and labor will be covered. My car was at the dealership, Car Shield reduced the amount of covered price and hence I had to pay more out of pocket. Same for the labor. After market/Korean parts were offered by the car shield which BMW dealers think are not suitable per BMw standards. Contract does not say dealer's parts will not be covered.

The contract does state that we replace parts with new, used, remanufactured parts of like kind and quality. It also explains that all prices will be verified per nationally recognized labor guides, as we do not pay overcharged prices. If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to give us a call.

It's was a great experience, just didn't need it right now. So I was refunded, thank you for your help and coverage! I would recommend Car Shield to all of my friends and family. And I will always tell everyone about how great this company is and that they NEED to get their vehicles covered through Car Shield. There is no other way to have your car covered and protected than through Car Shield!!

Debit card had a fraud and so payment was denied. Lady listened to me and accepted my description. Then I gave my checking account numbers and all is well.

I'm a Vietnam veteran and finances are one of my many fears. When the lady said all is well my response was a big thank you very much. Then I proceeded to ramble on about my fear of finances and other things and she listened without the uh huh of boredom. I am still impressed. I don't do this kind of thing and am amazed I have done it.

It was very Helpful when I need it and help to save money on repairs but something that I don't like is some time I have to put money from my pocket because they don't want to pay for the total of the repairs from the dealer.

Sorry to hear there may have been confusion about your coverage. There is a nationally recognized labor guide that tells repair facilities what to charge for what services and things like that. But it's up to each individual shop whether or not they want to follow it. With coverage like ours, we keep shops from overcharging our customers and shops don't always like that. Thank you for having such wonderful customer service representatives. I wanted to pay for my account, but could not sign into my account. I was first transferred to settle my payments then went to customer service to reset my password, after a few times, my mistakes, I was able to set up my account and can now use my email to log in, much easier than typing in my account number. Both representatives were very understanding and helpful.

My engine light came on and in a few days it went out on its own. Service center advised to keep an eye on it. Service center advised they couldn't check the light when it was not lit. I should bring the car back when the light was on. I am keeping an eye on it. Thanks for your help.

Good morning, my complaint is that I canceled my prescription with Car Shield and they never wrote it down so they were still charging me. So I called yesterday. They finally did it. I called today to see if I could get a refund. The lady was very rude. I mean rude, will over talk to me, wouldn’t let me talk. She wanted to be the one speaking in that letting the customer talk. Well, you know what - that’s my money, not theirs. I want it back and I’m gonna file a lawsuit if they don’t do what they have to do so watch out, Car Shield is a rip-off.

I had a few doubts, I'm a naturally skeptical guy. Kept paying my monthly subscription. I needed a new engine and Car Shield came through BIG TIME!!!! Took care of all part and labor fees. I just had to pay my small deductible ($100). Imagine.... this was a $5k job. Not even a week later my started needed to be replaced. Car Shield took care of it. I tell everyone I know to get Car Shield asap. You will regret it if you don't... Trust me.

Ad said all high tech equipment was covered but the fine print excluded the forward camera. I wouldn’t have bought the warranty if I had noticed that restriction! The new technology reliability was my main concern when I purchased my car and I purchased the CarShield Warranty.

I had 2 flat tires. Called for a tow and the driver showed up fairly quickly. Rescued me and got me to tire store that's open on a Sunday during a major blizzard. Heroic! Got all new tires and am good to go.

I have only needed to use CarShield once thank goodness. This was for a roadside assistance that was a nightmare really. I noticed a tire was low almost flat. I called roadside assistance. I was advised to drive with a almost flat tire to a company listed as a roadside assistance station. I arrive and it is closed on Saturdays. Luckily I was able to make it to my parents' home and use their car until I could find a tire shop to repair the tire when they were opened. Being disabled I felt uncomfortable leaving the car at the shop recommended over the weekend and attempt to walk 5 miles home. This was the only issue and only time I used them. It is expensive but knowing that they were there did make driving less stressful. Roadside not so much.

Transmission lines need a repair. They did a great job. Thank you. Front annular lines need a replacing. After replacing lines they flushed my whole transmission reservoir which was a separate fee but it was worth it. The car runs great.

The dealer actually threw down the keys and told me to go somewhere else. I've had to go to a town 30 miles away to get my car repaired via CarShield. Other mechanics in Hutchinson also will not work on the car because it is covered by Car Shield.

Sorry you’re having trouble finding a local repair shop that accepts our coverage. Some shops refuse to take our coverage, however it is not for the reasons you may think. Some shops refuse to take any outside coverage because they want to be in charge of their own prices. There is a nationally recognized labor guide that tells repair facilities what to charge for what services and things like that. But it's up to each individual shop whether or not they want to follow it. With coverage like ours, we keep shops from overcharging our customers and shops don't always like that. We’re happy to stand on our record of servicing over 2 million customers over our 17 years in business. Not to mention our claims department pays out over $5 million in claims every month. Still waiting for approval for my repairs and in the meantime, I'm driving a rental car, while my repairs are being taken care of. The dealership keeps in contact with me and for what my repairs are. I think Carshield is pretty reasonable.

Made an overpayment of this month's payment. I was informed that it will be adjusted for next month's payment. I should be Receiving an email with the adjusted payment for next month, (April). This seems to be okay and this is the fourth time that this has happened to me and I will make sure that I don't do that again.

Took my car to the dealership. All my lights were on and remote start wasn't working. The car went through several diagnostic tests and they were able to find the cause. Car worked perfectly, was finally able to get it inspected, all covered by CarShield. One call is all it took to take away the fear of an exorbitant repair cost. If I didn't have CarShield, I wouldn't have been able to drive my car.

Replaced compressor and paid for evac/recharge freon but would not cover replacing evaporate/dryer... service tech recommended it. Overall pleased with first time using the service. Glad I had it.. Regular repair would have been over $2000. Only had to pay $100 deductible. Thank you.

We switched from the Gold Plan to the Aluminum Plan because it was more appropriate for our vehicle and provided more coverage that the Gold plan did not include. Malikah was able to successfully switch us from the Gold to the Aluminum in a matter of minutes.

I was concerned about the reviews I read about CarShield and contacted another warranty company and the information they gave about Carshield was alarming and how much better they rated than Carshield. As my grandmother used to say, "it's a poor frog who doesn't praise his own pond." After speaking with a Carshield representative my fears were put to rest. Although I haven't yet submitted a claim, I feel confident that I will receive the service as advertised.

Car failed in traffic. Was towed about 1/4 mile to one of your recommended garages. Evaluation proved alternator as the source of problem. After receiving your permission to proceed, they replaced the alternator. They recharged the battery and the car was back in running order.

Ford was able to contact quickly and had a service claim started. I was contacted a few days later from CS and told my service request was approved. I liked that. If I have anymore problems with my Explorer I will CarShield again as they are there to respond in full.

It was a very long process and I was given to other people 4 times before we were thru. We have a 2015 Chevy Impala, that has 33 thousand miles on it and we are 78 years old. They said I need to put 500 miles on the car before it’s covered. We may put 15 miles a week on the car and now we have to take a trip somewhere just so we can have your insurance. Not very fair to us.

Had car towed to one of the stations Car Shield recommended. The car needed a new battery which I found out they do not cover. Was charged over $323.00 which is absurd. Car Shield should only use repair shops that will provide service at reasonable rates for their customers.

We have no way of knowing exactly which ones will and will not accurately charge prices per nationally recognized labor guides. I need a claim with CarShield and the lady that called me back told me that I was approved for my repairs. I get a call from another lady saying I'm not approved. I went through the whole book and did not say nothing about my starter not being covered. When I signed up the people were so nice and helpful and want to do everything they could for me but then I made a claim and it was like a 360. They were rude, disrespectful, not trying to help. I believe that this is a legal scam to get people to pay for insurance that they can never use. Everyone else I have spoke to about this company says the same thing - scam. So if I was you stay away because they're not going to pay you like they say they do. They don't cover anything. They will find a reason why not to pay you.

My car is 23 yrs and I have decided to not pay for large coverage of my Baby girl, she's been good to me and I would hate to lose her but there is no reason to continue to pay for coverage when there is rust on the trunk the door's the hood and I can peel with my hand the rust with the hold in it on the bottom, it was dragging the cement and I had to pull it off.... Now I know that it's what's inside that counts BUT and I can wait, but being a widow I need to put all my coins together to prepare for that, I was quite pleased with CarShield and hope to possibly return one day.

Rip off the company, failed to fix my alternator on my car that I pay monthly for insurance extended warranty. The company our mechanic have different opinions, American Warranty is a rip off, and refuse to fix my car. I do not recommend this company to anyone, including my family and friends.

We are sorry to hear this. We did look into your claim and it looks like the reason for the breakdown was dirt/debris, which is an external cause of failure, not an internal mechanical breakdown. We also show that there is a long-term seepage/leak that has been there for a while, and continuing to drive with a leak like that can cause further damage to the vehicle. There is a listed exclusion in your contract that explains that continued operation of a vehicle with a mechanical breakdown would not be eligible for coverage. Cooler replaced. The repair shop called to verify the part and was told the part is less expensive than the part they recommend. The repairman said the part recommended is better than the part CarShield approved and may need to replace it again later. The person the repairperson spoke to was not very nice and need to be more nice. I don't understand why Car shield does not cover Cadillac Converter. I was very disappointed. I am very curious about why. I called and the customer service said it was Federal related. I didn't understand that. I still need an explanation why Cadillac Coverter is not covered.

I will continue to check back with the Customer Service Depart. That was a big expense to pay when I should be able to get it repaid with coverage. I would like to complain to a manager about the dissatisfaction. I requested for coverage book to be mailed to me so I look at all the coverages. I feel it is very misleading to deal with problems like this. Why items like that are not covered.
