I spoke with Wanda (claims rep) this morning regarding the policy I just purchased on my 09 Yukon. She stated missing (prior) maintenance records from the previous owner would not be a problem and would be covered if I were to have a claim.

Filed claim, a customer service representative called me to explain the claim and the amounts they would cover. The agent later called the auto dealer servicing the vehicle and coordinated the approval of the repairs directly with them. I was satisfied with the response time in authorizing my claim.

I was new the process of this time of warranty coverage. Car Shield made the process from filing to have the work completed every easy. I'm thrilled by the customer service and communication. I called CarShield, or a referral to someone who could repair my air conditioner and my back windows which were power windows. They referred me to Pep Boys. I made an appointment and it took three hours for them to discover how much it was going to be, and then to submit it to CarShield for approval, I felt this was an extraordinarily long time to wait. Once CarShield approved it it took them another three hours to repair the damages so all in all it took me six hours of my day to get my car repaired.

When my cooling system failed, CarShield replaced the whole system. Saving me about $400. Pepboys called carshield and filed a claim. It got approved and Pepboys completed the work the same day. The bill was about $500. After my $100 deductible I drove away a very happy customer.

I would say my experience was good except for the different email accounts that I was instructed to send invoices for proof of maintenance work on my truck and receipt for rental car. The information I was getting from different rep was conflicting.

The whole warranty, what a freaking joke. The only reason I bought this warranty is cause your commercial and your salesman both never pay more than $200 for another car. The expense cost of me over $11,000 to have my pickup fixed. You guys aren't hardly covering ** maybe 3,000.

I attempted to put my car in reverse to back out of garage; but the gear shift was stuck in the park position! I attempted several more times, but I couldn’t get the gear shift to move! Finally, my husband was able to use a screwdriver to get the gear to move. We immediately took it to Burleson Nissan for repairs. They checked it out, informed us of the problem and the cost ($2,000)! After being stunned, I remembered that I am a customer of CarShield, which I had previously purchased after the factory warranty had expired! My husband called the dealership and informed them that I was a customer of Car Shield! From that point, Nissan Burleson and CarShield communicated about the repairs. The Service Dept. informed us that my car was ready. We only had to pay $100! I am a satisfied customer of CarShield! Thank you so much!!

When we bought the policy from Car Shield we were told we could take our car anywhere and it would be paid for. We had a bill of about 700.00 and car shield paid only about 250.00 of the bill. We think this was unfair. We are considering dropping car shield.

All the repairs was not covered by CarShield, So I still have repairs that need to be addressed, I have a extended warranty for the vehicle, but the warranty will not cover the 5F Module and software update that needs to be replaced.

You guys order a new engine for my car. I had it 1 yr and it broke down out of state. And this year it gave up. I had 143 on it when you put the engine in.. It was done at 153.. So it did not get far..

You never cover the repair fully because you must use inferior products as your parts are always much much cheaper than any parts on any repair needed. I wish you would even consider coming close to the cost of the replacement part!!

Great deals, service, and price! I'm glad that I had coverage and never had to use it. Some would probably say it's a waste of money, but it's all in the viewer's eye and opinion. They are very knowledgeable in the different levels and what's covered on each level. Not all vehicles will qualify for every level, mind you.

At first, I called to cancel my policy. With the economy and other financial issues I could not afford what we have been paying over the past year and thought I had no options or choices, so I called to cancel my policy. The great news was your representative worked with me to keep our coverage and we didn't have to cancel. We are going to give it a few months and see if we can make it work within our budget.

Carshield has had my back through this process of having insurance when it was needed. The insurance covered me when I was down but helped me out because of the coverage of the car and even allowed a rental to be considered.

Thus far, my experience has been satisfactory with no problems. I read other reviews that were not pleasing. However, I am happy that I had Car Shield. Within a week, my transmission stopped working, and it's in the shop to be repaired. I trust they will fix it as quickly as possible with the same results of me being a satisfied customer.

Oil leak front main, rear main and upper oil pan gasket. If I stay with Car Shield after I have this problem fixed and there's a breakdown, will Car Shield cover the new problem? Or will it always be related to the oil leak?

Learned to my disappointment that my remote alarm & gas filler cap, Driver-door button and both front fender wheel well shrouds aren't covered ... Significant safety issues ...Especially since I'm 80 yrs. old & my wife and I are both handicapped.

These people run two different databases between Auto Shield another scam company and CarShield the mother scam company. They use two different databases and claim that a car rental approved for a repair is not valid for reimbursement if sent to another shop for repairs. They are a scam company trying to rip off poor people that have to keep their car running to make a living. Their customer service is rude beyond reason with threats of hanging up at any chance they can because they know they are ripping people off. DO NOT USE THIS SCAM SERVICE!!!!
We're sorry to hear this, however, we have no idea what you are referring to. We show that your shop attempted to call in and start a claim yesterday but they stated they didn't have time to look at the vehicle until Monday so we are just waiting for them to call in with a diagnostic and an estimate for repairs. Rental hasn't even been discussed yet. If you have questions, please give us a call and we would be happy to go over it with you.
As stated before, professional, knows her job, knew where the problem was, knew how to fix it. Gave her my new credit card number, was very pleasant, I will recommend Carshield to my friends and relatives, I have had them for at least 5 years.

I filed a claim with American Auto Shield and in order for them to make my repairs they had to terminate my contract! And reimburse me for the tear down of my engine! Now during my claims period they suspended any action I could take on my account because it was being reviewed by their legal claims agent Nathan **! We came to an agreement to be reimbursed. Now mind you my account was being reviewed by their legal team so I couldn't have my car towed to the other shop that came out of pocket and CarShield was still charging me monthly fees while they weren't letting me use service in my contract! Now remember Nathan ** said I'll be refunded and he would reach out to their legal department at carsheild.
So in short they refuse to refund me the 3 months they was charging me and not allowing me to use the service for repairs and keep misleading the BBB when I file a complaint or just flat out refuse to reply! Going forward I would recommend this warranty service to anyone because I would be ashamed like I am now to let them how they take advantage of middle and lower class and hid behind the face's of celebrities to steal our money! And don't have the decency to return your call even within the 48hr wait period. I've called them 12 times and only got two return calls and both calls were to tell me they're keeping my money. It's like someone doing ** and using carsheild to buy their **.

When American Auto Shield sent over the void for the contract, they advised to cancel it with no refund due, so we did what they advised. I purchase CarShield I’ve been waiting to repair my vehicle for over 2 months still no results. I will inform the state of Rhode Island attorney general’s office and make a complaint informing them regarding my contract with CarShield.

We show that the reason for the delay is because claims requested a service record that was on CarFax for the same day you set up coverage, to verify what was going on with the vehicle that day and verify mileage because the mileage in CarFax does not match what you gave us when you signed up. We show that a record has now been received and is currently being reviewed by the adjuster. They will reach out when they are done. I'm not going to lie. I thought it was a joke when I first saw it. I got it and something happened. My transmission went out. They replaced it. I'm thankful for that to save me over $2,800 to $3,000 for the repairs so I recommend everyone I mean everyone. I have a white 2016 Corolla. I had to get a completely new transmission. Car running better than before. The wait time to get the approval to do the work took a little longer than I expected. They also approved me for a Rental which was for shorter then they had to fix my car. I had to ask for extra day of rental which I had to Pay for.

My vehicle broke down on the highway, 4/5/2023, I had the vehicle to Twin City Transmission. CarShield was contact about the vehicle, so the part had to be ordered for the repairs as of today, 4/19/2023 the vehicle have not been repaired.

Customer service is non-existent. I'm on my 3rd transmission in a year. The first two times I was without a vehicle for 3 months total. This time is still to be determined. I was told initially a year ago that it was a remanufactured transmission. After these numerous failures, I knew that couldn't have been the case. I talked to 5 different people who would not tell me where the previous parts were sourced from. The last supervisor I spoke with told me they were used transmissions and then hung up on me.
Finally sent an email to attempt to talk to someone who would actually help, got a response that it is their right to determine what parts they provide. I understand to a point, but with a known issue on this transmission, they are not repairing it and holding up their end of the contract by putting in used junk with the same internal issues. Call CarShield, they will tell you they are not responsible for the terrible customer service and it's an issue with American Auto Shield.
Call them and they just don't care. Bad practices all around in my opinion. If you are searching for a decent aftermarket service contract, run as far away from CarShield as you can. Also, take a trip over to their website.. they only display the good reviews that they pull from other sites. Won’t find anything negative there… seems a little one sided to me.

Just very disappointed. I passed extended warranty with The dealer. 1st time I need to use you I get denied. AC went out, mostly all the parts are covered except The Discharging hose. Now I have to come out of pocket. And not feeling very fond of Car Sheild right now.

It’s been awful. My car has been at shop 3 weeks leaving me having to borrow a car. As a policyholder I have yet talked to adjuster and you have to talk to someone new each time you call. There is no communication between your adjusters and repair shop CarShield wants to skimp on parts and I think this is because I’m a new policyholder but I’m covered.
