My salesman Michael, he was great, very caring and engaging, personal. Perhaps too personal that he has been caught in a disturbing lie. As if he had worked so to give me a retired disabled, 19-year dialysis and 3 time breast cancer survivor a big deal at 99.00, till my daughter came in and researched, and they start at 99.00; then she was like, "See what else he could be lying about?" I really need the Car Shield, but can they do something real to help me?

Signing up with CarShield was easy. I had automatic withdrawal for payments every month. I just set up the account, and they took the money monthly from my account. CarShield is a good thing to try. For me, it looked like there is no risk. I don't use it yet, but I believe it's okay.

The representative was truly knowledgeable of Car Shield policy. He knew what to asked me, and like what day was vehicle towed into Natchez transmission pro? I told him vehicle was towed in on June 22nd.

I have never had CarShield. Now signed up for their emails yet I get daily emails from them. Dispute my numerous attempts to block them and report spam. This business is beyond sketchy!! Beware!!

I have had this policy for 4 years. This tear my car had a problem and I too it to the dealership. When Carshield got their quote for $5,600 they refused it and said they would onle pay $3,200/-. I asked them where I should take the car. They sent me to another shop that offered to do the repair for $3,200 which they also refused and only paid $1,600. I had to pay the rest out of pocket. This is a SCAM. DO NOT USE THEIR POLICY.

CarShield is a PISS POOR COMPANY! They take my money, however fail to provide the customer service that they advertise. If you own a GMC vehicle, you’re wasting your money with CarShield. GMC in Springfield, Missouri stated they don’t accept CarShield because they are too hard to do business with. Apparently this is the standard across the board with most reputable GMC Dealerships. I will be contacting all required agencies to report CarShield false advertising and information!

The reps of CarShield were well-spoken. They went right on to explain the policy to me word for word about everything. Their price is good as well. I’ve been with them for six months now, and I haven’t filed a claim yet.

The sign up process was simple. The rep that I dealt with was a good help. He explained everything. I was impressed with his attitude. If anything happened, my car is covered.

The Carshield team will shop for cheap car parts and NOT approve the quality car parts the auto shop chooses. Therefore, they are VERY limited on what they will cover - leaving you with the majority of the bill. I am very disappointed and I am out of pocket a lot of money. I am going to try Endurance.

I just got CarShield. Signing up was easy. I talked to their guy and he went through it really quickly, but it was easy to understand. There's a process in place. You have to drive so many miles before your policy is activated so you don't get scammers and things. I thought he was good. They quickly turned everything around. I feel like, when I called, he did a good sales pitch too. I paid 180. He gave me a couple of discounts in there because I didn't have the 75,000 miles. I was under that. I feel like the price is reasonable.
I have an Audi and I don't have a lot of miles. I don't drive a lot on it and my extended warranty was up at 75,000 miles. The whole thing's electronic. Having this coverage is like a relief for me because I don't know stuff about cars. So, the fact that they cover a lot of the stuff is important to me. One of my biggest fears is breaking down on the side of the road, but my car insurance has the towing service. CarShield does, too. I got double, so I'm good.

I'm interested in Carshield's coverage 'cause I got a 2014 vehicle that could be subject to something breaking. I signed up and the process was good. The policy activates within a certain mileage and time frame. Signup is always easy with these car companies. It's when someone tries to collect is the issue. I haven't made any claims yet, so we'll see how that goes.

Our car is four years old now. I didn't want a dealer warranty. We figured we'd try CarShield. Signing up was easy. The people were knowledgeable and very friendly. We were approved right away. If anything goes wrong, we'll have coverage for it. But it was said we had to pay at least one month before it would become active.

Signing up with CarShield was easy. I was with a rep. I now don't have to worry about my vehicle. If I have to make a phone call, my vehicle will be fixed. And I will not be without a vehicle because I have the insurance for the rental car as well.

My son told me to choose CarShield and when I signed up, the rep who assisted me was fine. It wasn't a bad experience. I had their policy for a week, but because of the price, I no longer have it.

I have been with Carshield for 6 years. I need some repairs done on my vehicle and they will not cover the repairs. They are a complete ripoff. If you are looking for a extended warranty do not use this company.

I always tell people to go to CarShield. I've sent out probably 15 people already. Getting signed up with CarShield is simple. Their customer service is pleasant. So far, for the price and what I was paying for my warranty, it was a no-brainer. I like the convenience of having it right now. I like not having to pay the exact full amount for something that's going to continue to decrease in value.

The CarShield rep was very pleasant and helpful. She answered my question. But the cost of the coverage didn't add up for the package that I was getting. It didn't meet my needs, so I ended up not getting the coverage.

Signing up with CarShield was fine and easy. I've used CarShield before. We were just coming back. My Cadillac is out of warranty, and I needed to get it into a plan that, if something happens to it, it’s covered. I like that their price is very reasonable and they’re very easy to work with. I would recommend them.

They do not support repair shops and the diagnostics that need to be done to find out if CarShield even covers it. I did not charge a customer for diagnostics when they said they had CarShield thinking that CarShield would cover the diagnostics no matter if they covered the damage. Not Professional IMHO. I would not recommend any of my customers to get it...

I heard about CarShield on television. I recently moved from Canada, so it was new information. I have two cars, so I was interested. I called the number I got off the television and talked to somebody and gave them the information that they asked for. One of my cars, I would not have been able to give them the mileage, because it had a dead battery. I don't drive it very much. And I don't know if they need that, but I have since gotten a battery for it. I like that I wouldn't have to worry about finding the right person to do the right job or how much it costs. Because I don't know cars. I don't know what a repair ought to cost, any of those things. However, they said that they would send me a card, but I haven't received one. I did get an email welcoming me, but it was welcoming me and wanting me to sign up my house.

I've been with Carshield for about four months. I have a used vehicle that manufacturer's expired, so I looked at protecting myself. I overheard from people that Carshield is a good company and ended up signing up, then I printed the handbook myself from an email. The extended warranty and then the insurance company are good until someone needs it. I work at a mechanical shop as a service writer and I had a bad experience with Carshield last week about a claim for a customer. Now I'm thinking to either keep it or get rid of it.

I am so pleased to be part of Car Shield. on several occasions they came through with help. Once asked if they knew of a shop that took Carshield in my area within minutes I had the answer. Another time was when my life was turned upside down and I had to make important decision. Yep they helped me through that too... The man on the other end leaned in with compassion and solutions. He took my stress level down about 8 knots. I am so pleased with CarShield.

I've done two claims with CarShield, and they’ve always done it. I had no problem with anything. One claim had something to do with a leak with the oil thing for the engine, and that wasn’t a problem. The claim process took about two days.

I saw the ads for CarShield. I called the 800 number and got signed up. I've got an older pickup, and almost every car that we've ever owned in our life had to have work done after the warranty is done. My experience with the rep was pretty cut and dry. I was hoping she'd give me a little bit better break as an old guy, but we were good. She answered everything I had and pointed me in the right direction. I'm hoping the policy covers whatever problems I ever run into. So far, I haven't run into any. It's like any insurance: you hope you never have to use it, but if you do, you hope it's there. I wish the price would be a little bit lower, though. ‘Cause I was on CarShield, then I had read some negative things about them, so I quit for five days. Then when I re-signed up, my price jumped a little bit.

I just filed a Better Business Bureau complaint about the unacceptable handling of my extended warranty claim with CarShield/American Auto Shield. When my vehicle went into limp mode, I contacted CarShield and initially received what appeared to be helpful support. However, once my repair facility submitted the estimate, CarShield/American Auto Shield attempted to nickel‑and‑dime the shop and ultimately approved only $296 of a $700 repair, leaving me responsible for the remaining balance plus my $250 deductible.
They also delayed approval for several days, forcing me to pay $43.67 per day for a rental vehicle. After 10 days, I paid $450.44 in rental fees, yet they reimbursed only $315.28, falsely claiming that certain fees were not covered—even though the invoice clearly shows a simple 10‑day rental plus tax. They later stated they only cover 7 days of rental, despite the fact that their own delays caused the extended rental period. I am requesting reimbursement of the remaining $135 that I am rightfully owed.

A review of the claim also indicates there were differences between the repair facility's parts and labor charges and the pricing verified through the nationally recognized labor and parts guides used during the claims process. Situations like this can occur when a repair facility is not willing to negotiate pricing within those verified amounts.
