BMW - Steering |
||||||
|
I own a 2001 BMW 325i -- the steering sensor light came on twice and was replaced for the second time on July 7th. On July 9th while driving the car I lost the steering, I was able to spin the wheel 180 degrees. It was towed to the dealer. First they reported the steering shaft broke, one week later the said the bolts came loose that hold the steering shaft. I have contacted BMW North America to have an engineer go down to the dealer to inspect the car to see why and what exactly happened. It is now over 20 days later and no one has inspected the car. Everytime I try to contact BMW North America the customer service representative assigned to my case is on vacation or does not work there anymore. I have been assigned three different representatives, no one will return my calls and no one has given us any answers. First I was two turns from getting on to Rt. 21 when this happened. And I am literally afraid to drive -- as I turn the vehicle the feeling that my steering will feel haunts me. Report Your Experience
