    At first I thought Curacao was a cool place to get approved for credit. After purchasing my Samsung TV here it got damaged. I purchased a 5 year warranty for $170. But what they don't tell you is that you can't use it for a whole year!!! They gave me the run-around for a week before telling me this. A protection plan should start the day you purchase it!! Now I am stuck with a TV that I cannot use!! Don't shop here. Bad customer service. They will tell you anything to get the sale. Don't shop here!!

    Warning. They say they will give you up to $4000.00 but once they run your credit they give you $2000.00 and if you want more than $2000 of credit they want you to provide your whole family tree for "references". They act like a junk heap car lot owner thinking everyone has bad credit, also they don't keep their promise to refund the difference when you find it cheaper at Walmart or some other competitor.

    Bought a refrigerator 2 months ago. We wanted to pay it off. The sales person never explained to us that if we wanted to pay it off we were still going to pay for interest. Instead of the amount going down to pay it off it was more.

    I ordered a sofa and loveseat (order# **). They took almost a month to deliver the product. While ordering they said it is always delivered inside the house. However Shipper said they will leave the product outside the garage. So I paid $150 to get the furniture inside the house. When opened the plastic wrap, both sofa and loveseat is damaged. Loveseat is damaged to the point I can not even use it. Now Curacao saying they can not replace it, I have to return it. What a hassle to do business with these cheap companies. Stay away!!

    It took a while for the delivery but customer service and dispatch and the main guys who delivered my ordered item Augustine and Franky were beyond excellent. Highly recommend them and the furniture was in excellent condition, no dents, no tear. Highly satisfied with how everything was handled!

    I received my packages from Curacao. When I went to get them off the porch I seen the packages were damaged. I immediately took pictures and called Curacao. He said send them pictures. I did. Then he said if product was damaged call for return. When I tested products found 2 damaged. Called them and now they want to do investigation and more delay. The advertisement hassle free return. That is a lie.

    I purchased an iPhone 11 Pro Max and like many others I was worried about it being damaged, so I paid an additional $200 for insurance. Not only that, but the staff was very convincing on how good their insurance would cover my phone. (READ TO THE BOTTOM IF YOU WANT AN HONEST REVIEW OF THEIR INSURANCE POLICY AND SUPPORT, WHICH IS HORRIBLE!)

    Now, before I begin, I would like to say how much of a HORRIBLE system they have in place for the coverage of our items. So, I eventually ended up dropping and breaking my phone. The first step taken was to send it in for repairs. Though, while I was on the phone with the insurance company I stated multiple times that I did not want any generic replacements parts on my iPhone as that can be very damaging to my model of iPhone. They reassured me multiple times that they would use "genuine" parts, because I wanted to be very clear on my statements to them.

    I later ended up driving my phone out to the technician that they referred me to for repairs which let me tell you was a VERY suspicious group. It was a genuine business and all, but while my first time there, I literally overheard them talking over one of their clients' devices saying, "we are not going to make any profit from this phone unless if we replace this part." At the time I clearly understood them as attempting to replace an original part of the phone for a generic 3rd party part for profit.

    Moving forward, I ended up having my phone repaired, but the quality of parts that I received were horrible. The backloads of my device looked more like plastic than glass, and the led's or whatever screen they used represented an ANDROID display much rather than an iPhone which was incredibly frustrating. I confronted both the insurance company and the technicians about this and they played me all the way through about how this was not a guaranteed feature of their agreement even after they had already verbally told me they'd use genuine parts. I noticed that my phone was unnecessarily overheating after this and the internal parts were able to be shook from the inside as I waved my phone around.

    KEEP READING. I then had a second accident where I literally broke my phone about 2 days after by mistake, but this time I purchased a temporary phone and held the iPhone in my drawer for a few months. Eventually I got to calling up the insurance over my phone and again, faced the tedious process of sending my phone in to these horrible technicians, where again I faced more problems with them.

    After an ugly long wait of over a week, they called me in saying that they couldn't repair my phone and that they couldn't do anything about it. So, I requested to receive my iPhone back and that I would contact the insurance agency again, but they told me that I couldn't take back my iPhone anymore. I had to argue with them for a while until I could finally receive my phone back because it was an obvious attempt to keep my phone to scrap it or possibly repair it for profit which is not okay because despite it not being able to be fixed, it is still my property!

    I later contacted the insurance agency and again I was faced with this horrible service. Instead of reimbursing me for my phone after having it deemed "unrepairable" and subject for refunded credit to me in order to purchase another phone, I had another big ordeal with them about how they wanted to send my phone in for a second opinion. That never happened, instead I was on a phone call with them where them manipulated me into stating a reason about a so-called "water damage" that never happened!

    They literally told me something along the lines of, "can you please say anything so that I can put it down here and move forward with your claim/account." They proceeded with explaining to me how certain people sometimes shower with their phones and play music with it and things like that in an attempt to have me forfeit my claim, which they succeeded in because I had no idea that this would happen! I just agreed and made some random thing up with the guy because I wanted to help him out!

    READ. This is extremely unfair because they were purposely rejecting my phone because there was literally no hope for my phone as it was in an extremely broken condition and there couldn't possibly have been any hope for repairing it and it would have been much better to just replace it! This insurance company forcefully deemed water damage when it was clearly much more evident that it faced extreme damage due to it being dropped!!! I am debating on closing all my accounts with you people not and which is sad because I have been a regular customer for YEARS. I am also going to make sure to spread awareness on your business conduct. Thanks for nothing!

    I received a Curacao credit limit of $1400. See at the time I l lost my self employed job due the pandemic. I lost it. I'm a single ** parent of a beautiful daughter named Lailah who has Severe Autism with sensory disorder. We became homeless due to the fact of my income being depleted. We wound up a the Zahn Salvation Army homeless shelter downtown Los Angeles. We lost everything. So at the time we had been homeless I saved the money for my daughter to put toward her a bedroom set. This is the time the world slowly started to opening up like a rosebud very slowly. I started looking for housing after the quarantine.

    I called the Curacao customer services whom took down my info to activate my Curacao credit limit. She told me she'd send me a website through text. I needed to verify myself. I received the text, took a selfie and downloaded my state issued ID. It came back. My online account was open to shop so I picked the items I wanted, went check out and there pops up all in red a notice that says Curacao has to update my personal info. I called a repeat of the same info I gave already. Ok then I'm told I could shop online now. After I verified myself again I verified myself no lie about 10 times if not more. I had to verify myself and over 20 different customer service if not more.

    I have talked with Curacao. It's been 2 months. Still nothing. FACTS! Discrimination. My ID showed I'm **. I verified myself for 2 months. Still nothing. I even went into the Curacao store in person on Olympic. They had me take a picture twice. After the manager whispered in her ear she told me both times my pictures to verify me were not coming out right. I gave up.

    I purchased a smart TV (Samsung) because my family and I were moving to a new home. I also purchased the extended warranty because I was nervous about the move and wanted to ensure my television would be ok. A year later my tv needs repairs so I go through the proper channels and contact Centricity (warranty company who has a terrible rating with BBB due to the many complaints) who responded to my email requesting more information. I sent the info requested but received no response from Centricity instead got a call from someone in Florida (I am currently in Los Angeles) who works for Curacao telling me my warranty would not cover my tv repairs.

    When I attempted to get an explanation I got transferred to sales where I spoke to 7 different people to no avail. I am still waiting for a call back from a supervisor. Corporate phone numbers lead me to the sales department who informed me they did not have a supervisor or an e-mail available. Do not purchase from this Curacao or deal with a warranty from Centricity.. go to Best Buy, Target or Costco!

    This store is an Hindu company owned, not a Latin store whatsoever. Every time I try open an account with them for some reason I get denied no muy bueno. Be careful, they like to ding your credit and offer you fake credit when really they won’t give you credit. P.s. Don’t Do it!

    I went in to purchase a lamp that I really wanted. I already knew I was going to purchase the lamp I just needed help getting it. Granted they were busy. But not one sales associate acknowledged me. And there were several there. I kind of felt like it was because I was not Hispanic. They just kind of looked through me.     Me and my family purchased our furniture set here in Los Angeles pending the arrival of our family visiting from out of state. They took our payment and assured us a delivery date perfect before their arrival. Unfortunately the couches never came, we had already removed our old set and cleaned our home waiting the arrival of our new furniture set. The manager that spoke to us on the phone at the store we purchased explained that they did not have our furniture in stock and gave us a pushed back date of two more weeks offering free delivery. We then went back to the store speak with the sales representative and the manager on duty to get better understanding why we will have to wait two more weeks when our family was due to arrive.

    We still had one more week to figure out something before their arrival so we would not have our family sitting on the floor but they gave us a date after our family would leave to receive our new furniture set. Unfortunately the couches still did not arrive on the new given date and gave us two more weeks to wait. We were now one month with nowhere to sit and had the most uncomfortable visit and embarrassing visit that did not go well for me and my wife. I would not recommend anyone to purchase here.

    I've tried using my Curacao Credit Card online on multiple occasions, and it doesn't go through. There's no reason it shouldn't work. I think they are just trying to get personal information. What's weird about it all is that although it shows that they pulled my credit, it doesn't show that I have a new credit account like it immediately did when I got credit with Finger Hut. I do not trust this company at all. Also their customer service is beyond terrible. I waited on hold for an hour only to have them hang up on me both times. When you are actually able to talk to someone, they are rude, and unhelpful. How is this company still in business? I would definitely think twice before applying for credit and handing over your information.

    I order a Sunny Health and Fitness row and ride machine in April! I never reduced the item and they even told me it never shipped! I made the mistake with paying through PayPal and I have had no success for 4 months to get my money returned. At this point I’m holding both companies accountable because they can’t get their ** together. I have called every other week for 4 months! I even have the shipping confirmation showing the other item that did ship weighed 4 pounds! This item weighs 25 pounds! So tell me how anyone doesn’t believe that! Beyond frustrated. Have talked to at least 8 different people at their company who all assured me my refund was being processed! Now I’m seeking legal action for this!

    Awful.They dont replace online damaged goods and the gift certificate for being referred and referring is a gimmick. Customer service on phone transfer you leave you on hold and then call gets dropped after 15 minutes.

    I called in on April 22nd, 2020 that I received a alert that someone had applied without my consent. Called in. They confirmed they saw the application and asked several questions. Then I was told the fraud department would call in 24hr-48hrs. It is now a week later, no response. I call today and they cant find my information. They provide a fraud department phone number that no one picks up.

    I don't have perfect credit but my FICO is in the high 600s - no late payments, varied accounts and less than 15% of my available credit is used at any one time. I applied with Curacao as I had a couple of friends that recently obtained accounts with them and was curious as to what limit I might receive. Both of my friends are Hispanic, have a large amount of debt and scores below 600, with late payments, etc. Both were approved. I was denied after I was forced to call in after the online application failed (seems to be a common issue).

    After speaking to a rep, they said they would speak to a supervisor. Within 2-3 minutes they returned and said my application was declined and I would see a letter in the mail in the next week or so. After researching a little online, it seems that Curacao caters to the Latino community and it is very common for non-Hispanic names to be declined regardless of credit history. Curacao is known to approve credit with even ITIN numbers for those that don't have Social Security numbers. I will be investigating this further through the State.

    Updated on 03/24/2020: I wrote a review not too long ago (see below). They responded to contact them.. I did. Griselda helped me supposedly by forwarding the message to the correct department... and still have yet to hear from them. I emailed her. Still nothing ... They obviously can care less about their customers let alone their customer service from their own employees! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Better off shopping at Target, Best Buy, Walmart! La Curacao don't bother to reply to this until I GET A MESSAGE BACK ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS ACCOUNT FIRST!

    Original Review: So my roommate took my card and went shopping.. I had no idea until it went into collections.. I’ve been trying to dispute and as retaliation La Curacao opened another account without my permission or consent! They refuse to remove it or close it even though it has zero balance and hasn't been used ever (already over 6 yrs. Should be closed by 3 yrs no activity) ... This company is extremely shady! STAY AWAY!!!!

    Scam Alert folks! Applied for a PS4 Pro having 7 yrs at residence, 16 yrs at my job, 3 car loans, 6 Credit Cards all in "EXCELENT" standing for the last 2 yrs, An Afterpay account in Excellent standing, and this company turns me down! I also have Experian credit alert when someone accesses my credit. I get an alert which when I gave this company my personal and private information "DID NOT" run my credit! It's a scam to get your personal information! There was no reason to turn me down for a small credit line at all!

    So I got approved for a credit card of $600 and I haven’t used it yet but now that it’s Christmas and I’m trying to use it. It’s not letting me. It’s saying that I can’t find me. And now I don’t know what to do. This really sucks and I can’t make any Christmas purchases. Plus it’s my first credit card and I’m already having a bad experience.

    I have been trying to make a purchase today 12/2/19 to buy Thomas & Friends Mini DC Super Friends 9-pack Assortment and Thomas & Friends Mini Motorized Raceway Play-set.. I logged in, made an account and I’m paying in full not using their credit card, for some reason it won’t let me check out and I know I have funds.     Very bad service. They charge for items they don't even have in stock. Make you waste more than 2 hours and at the end they don't have it and offer to sell the display at the same price as a new items. How ridiculous someone would do that and when you claim they start lies with 3 different versions plus add the attitude there is no courtesy. They don't care. A lot of people with poor knowledge working in there. It came to my attention if the owner of this business knows was going on with his business and employees.

    I recently received a letter from La Curacao saying I was approved for credit. Got approved for 700.00$! I called to confirm my account and the employee asked me for my account number and info. I was sketchy about it but gave him that. I figured I have my security pin so I'll be ok! He then proceeded to tell me that I may have to put a down payment when I buy something??? Huh ok??? I was also told not to login because their website isn't working correctly, If I bought something to check out as guest???

    I tried to buy a phone for 652.00$ and that's my credit limit but they said nothing about down payment. They told me I only had credit balance of 542.00$. See I know how this works. The guy on the phone told me to not login like that and check out as guest because he was gonna pocket the 168.00$ and my original credit limit of 700 dollars was going to go to the company and he was gonna charge the 652.00$ for the phone I wanted. Victor you're just another scam ripping people off! But see my first mistake was trusting a company that's based in downtown skid row company with skid row employees (pretty much they hire criminals and rake in the money from the top and don't care!).

    Luckily I didn't buy the phone! And I'm canceling my account tomorrow and if they charged me they can go to hell! Come sue??? Try??? This is a fun game! I'll blow them out of the water in court, your company is being sued by Javier ** for illegal business practices! Ha. That's my last mistake for applying with a dirty money company! Some are going to hell. Ask Jesus guaranteed the owners are! I pray you all go to jail! And then rot there till it's time to go burning sulfur and brimstone! Amen.

    I just bought a Apple tablet. I told the salesman that I need one for internet. Told him like 20 times. Took the tablet to connect the internet. The tablet it’s not compatible for internet. Returned one hour later and they charge me 100 dls for recycling. In one hour they stoles me that money.. Never come back to this store. After I read all the reviews...Wow!

    I cancelled this credit card. These people have no idea how to run a business. When I first got this card, I used it to purchase a few gifts for Christmas. Part of my order was never shipped. No one notified me or made me aware of what was going on. I had to contact them directly and it was only after searching and searching that they could figure it out. They are completely disorganized. The app for the iPhone where you are supposed to be able to pay your bill and view transactions and statements never worked. I was not able to at any point go on there are pay anything. They ended up cancelling the app altogether recently.

    Their website is the same way. It does not function. I was supposed to get email alerts and paperless billing, and never received a notice or bill, this resulted in my payment being over 30 days late. I only owed them $90, so I paid it off completely after realizing they had sent the information to the credit bureaus. I called their customer service department, to see if they would forgive the late payment seeing as how it was entirely too difficult to do anything with these people, and they refused to forgive it. No other late payments, and the entire balance was paid off. This is by far THE WORST CREDIT CARD I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! I closed the account just so I never have to deal with them again. DO NOT GET THIS CARD!!!!

    So I been dealing with this issue for about 2 months now. I tried to pay off my account and they denied the payment, for what reason I don’t know? Then they started reporting negative on my credit but they were still taking payments. I finally realized that they were hurting my credit so I called to see what was going on. Long story short I got tired of dealing with them so I paid off the account over the phone. Well now I wake up this morning and they STILL reported me delinquent and my score dropped 84 point! AFTER PAYING OFF ACCOUNT so you can assume I’m not so happy today. This is frustration. They can’t even do their job right!

    An awesome place to shop. To all the people complaining.. Stop buying things you cannot afford and then blaming others after the fact. I have never had an issue shopping here or paying my bill. I would recommend anyone wanting to build their credit to buy here. Just make sure you pay your bill on time and don't make excuses. Nothing is free in this world.

    In November of 2018, I opened a credit account with Curacao of Los Angeles online. I received a $300.00 limit and I ordered two items. One 2TB External Drive overpriced at $89.00 and a Slim DVD/CD Player with Burning function for about $35.00, also overpriced. The order was to be shipped within a week. It was the middle of December and I still have not received my order. I sent them various emails and they acknowledged the delay. They replied that the order would be sent express shipping. The first item arrived 2 weeks later at the end of December. The second item arrived a week later. I received my statement with a total balance of around $140.00. On the statement they only had the option of paying by phone or online payment.

    I decided to write them a check and sent it to the Customer Service Department at their Corporate Headquarters on Olympic Blvd in Los Angeles. The due date arrived and my payment was still not credited to my account. To avoid a late charge, I decided to pay the statement online. My balance was zero and two days later they received my check and cashed it anyway. I called them up and requested that my credit balance of $141.00 be refunded to me and to please close my account, as I was not satisfied by their delayed and late deliver of my order. I was informed that they would mail me a check for the $141.00 and after that I could close my account. I understood the situation and agreed not to close my account until I received my refund.

    Three weeks later I received a call from them and they assured me the check was in the mail. The next month on March 19, 2019 I received another call to tell me that they had April 12, 2019, I still had not received my refund. I called them and they said they had mailed my refund and that they had no control over the U.S. Postal Service, so I was still in the mail. I told them that was garbage because this was the third time they had given me the same excuse. I was put on hold and the customer service rep. told me I had to go down to the corporate headquarters and show my ID as proof I was who I said I was and that was the only way I could receive my refund. At that point I lost it and I yelled every obscenity I could think of and say that was BS. Needless to say they hung up on me.

    I call back seven times and each time they picked up the phone and hung up on me. I called an additional ten times until I got to a supervisor at the Corporate Headquarters. They asked me why I could go down to their offices and pick up the refund in person. I replied that I was not the idiot that did not do their job and why the hell would I want to go into downtown Los Angeles at Five O'clock in the afternoon on a Friday in the middle of rush hour traffic. I asked "Are you really that much of a stupid idiot?" I demanded that my refund be mailed to me ASAP or I would go to the Spanish news media outlets in Los Angeles and I would turn over the recordings of all the phone conversations to show the inept handling of my problem with them. I did this legally as I stated to every person that came on the line to speak to me, that I was recording the phone calls.

    I also told them that I would be filing a complaint with the City of Los Angeles, as they are suing Curacao over the treatment of customers regarding their credit accounts. The tone quickly changed to them being very apologetic and they reassured me that they would be mailing out my refund on Monday April 15, 2019 and that I will receive my refund no later than Thursday, April 18, 2019. I told them if I did not receive my refund by that day, the next day I would do everything I said I would do with the city and with the Spanish news media. Let's see if they deliver on their promise.
