I joined LA Weightloss in Bloomingdale IL. When you join, along with all of the other money pits, they talk you in to buying bars in bulk, which add up to $600. It is explained that if you buy in bulk, you save hundreds of dollars vs. buying by the box. When I was relocating to WI, I advised the IL center that I did not wish to have the bulk bars because from joining on, the center kept the inventory and we picked up as needed. They assured me that I could pick up without fail in the Brookfield Center and that they would house the bars and I would not have to.

Well that did not happen. I paid for the bars in IL, went to the new center and was transferred from IL to WI. The center in WI said they could not let me have bars because I had to get them from the center in IL. Cases of bars showed up at my home with no place to be stored. Then, every time I looked at the bars, it made me ill. They expired sitting in the pantry. I bought new ones at the WI center for $600 because we had no intentions of moving. To make a long story short, every time I requested bars they didn't have the ones I liked. It was later made public that they were going out of business in centers and going to be a phone only center.

The center closed and I was still owed and am still owed years later, $600.00 worth of bars. It was explained as the centers were closing that now instead of showing up at a center at the customer's convenience that they would call us at a certain time each week. If we missed the call, too bad, they would speak with us the next week at our slotted time. The consultant which was very non customer, stated that if I wasn't home again, they would have to give my timeto someone else. Also, if I got the bars, I now had to pay shipping in addition the the $600 that I had already paid.

I went back and forth via the phone so many times trying to get them to refund my money because I was not going to pay shipping and I was not going to sit by the phone at a certain time if they should happen to call on time, which sometimes was not the case. The consultant acted like she was going to get the bars sent and then she came to the conclusion that they had decided as a company that they would not honor my sales commitment because they were Corporate and I had been dealing with a franchise. They stated that I could push back on the Charge Card Company that I had used when making the purchase. I was not able to retrieve my money from either avenue.

I belonged to the original LA Weight Loss program. I purchased the program and was happy. I still had money sitting on their books for LA Lites. I stopped going due to personal problems and I was never notified that the center was closing. I have about $300 sitting there. It would be nice if I get that money back. Just recently, I received a flyer in the mail that the program is again starting but is called LA to your door. They told me they are not affiliated with the original LA Weight Loss clinics. What I would like to know is how I can obtain the money back from the original LA Weight Loss clinics? I have recently signed up with the "LA To Your Door" and it would be nice to be able to apply that money owed to me to this program.

I approach LA Weight Loss to start the program in August 2008. I joined on August 6, 2008 with a 52 week program. I was contacted in December that the branch was closing and to come in for some paperwork. I arrived, they provided me with the bars that I had purchased and advised me that since the refund was over their minimum, a check would be sent to me. The refund that I am still waiting is for $465.46. I have been trying to contact them, I have left messages after messages, left the information for them to contact me on their website but I have never heard from them again.

I gained weight again because I never finished my program. I don't want to spend more money on weight loss products and on surgeries. Please call me at **.

I signed up May 1st, 2008 for this program. I paid out $353 and some change. Then, I had to buy the start-up package which was another $100! I had to buy bars on a regular basis. I had received a job offer in Chicago, IL in September of 2008. I advised them I would be moving and asked if there was a center for me in Chicago. I was told yes, that Chicago had plenty of centers. I was told this by Jean, the store manager herself!

The week I was moving, I went to do my last weigh in at the Coon Rapids store and was told that every center in Chicago had been closed down and that Jean was unable to transfer any of my information. But eureka, there is an online program for me! I didn't want that but felt my back was up against the wall now. So I signed up for it.

When I moved to Chicago, I gave myself a week to get settled and attempted to contact Jean. No answer! No answer at the store and no answer via email. That Coon Rapid store had closed down too. She could have told me and gave me options. I called around and sent emails after emails. Here it was, February 2009 and I made contact with a Jennifer ** via email. She guaranteed me a refund. I received a refund and it was for $4. What a slap in the face. My program was supposed to be a year and an additional year of stabilization. I receive five months of service. This is not right.

I signed up with LA Weight Loss Center and was fairly successful. I was able to put my account on hold for four weeks due to a family issue. When I returned, they talked to me into "buying more weeks". Since it would now take longer and by doing so, would still be eligible for the rebate. I also prepaid for more products to get me through the rest of the weight loss and maintenance - they had a terrific deal, so they said. Even though I was making weekly visits, no one told me they were closing. I showed up for my weigh-in and appointment, and the doors were locked.

I have been cheated out of around $900 in prepaid products and fees. This was a very expensive program, but if it helped me lose weight, it would be worth the financial commitment.

I joined on January 13, 2007, lost most of my weight and then they closed their doors on November 14, 2008. I had received my first 25% incentive rebate and this one-on-one counseling is what helped me. I spoke to someone on November 12, 2008 that no one had contacted me and they gave me the name Jenny and that she would be e-mailing me her e-mail so I could send my weigh-in each week. On December 3, 2008 I faxed the company telling them I hadn't heard from anyone yet. My last weigh-in was at the office on November 3, 2008. I never got my other 25% rebate because of no personal contact and I gained it back.

I am writing about this weight loss clinic. I have been in this clinic on and off since 2005 until 2008 and I would like to know if there is a class action lawsuit against them. They get you to join the club. But if for some reason you cannot complete the program, have paid for it, have paid for their LA weight supplements and they owe you these supplements, you cannot get them and you are out of money. I paid for these supplements. Everything. I joined this club and left with them owing me my supplements. I didn't get the supplements or the money back that I paid for them. I would like to know what can people like myself do. The weight loss center is close and they did not tell anyone that they were closing. They owe people money for joining the club. They owe people money for the supplement and weeks that they have paid for. How do we go about getting our money back? I even have their cookbook.

I started with the LA Weight Loss Center in Lakeville, MN and when I decided to go ahead with the program, I paid for the whole program and also bought the bars in bulk because it was a better deal of course. They told me that I would have a credit and to come in and pick up the bars as needed. When I moved back to SE Minnesota, I started going to the center in Rochester, MN and had all of my records transferred there. The last time I went into the center I had at least 45 or more boxes of bars to my name.

The next time I went to pick up bars a couple of weeks later, the center was closed and you could never get a hold of anybody after that. I called the numbers on the internet and never got in touch with anyone. I finally did get a hold of a center in SD and even they gave me numbers to call and still was able to reach anyone. So I am out all of the money that I should have been refunded for the bars that I never received. Today, in this economy, no one has the extra cash flow and then when you buy into a program even they turn on you.

I signed up for their program in July 2004 and went for a few months, when I started having back problems and I had to put a medical freeze on my account. Then I started going back again about 9 months later and they had given me a card for the LA Lites. So I put $150 on this card so that I could conveniently pick up the LA Lites snack bars and other items, as I needed them. I then was in a very bad major car accident and had numerous injuries so I had to medically freeze my account again and then all of the branches closed without notice before I could go back. When I was able to go back is when I discovered that they were closed. I called the customer service number and another number and they told me that there was no center in my calling area. Over all, I lost 40 lbs, which took forever and stuck to their diet plan that they prescribed to me. I also paid for a maintenance program. I would like to recover some of this money for services that were not rendered as it cost me over $500 for the program and then the $150 on the card.

I have been served from Brachfeld Co. on a lawsuit for LA Weight Loss. I have contacted them letting them know I was going to answer because LA Weight Loss was to credit me all the product that I did not use because the program was not efficient. LA Weight Loss has all my product that a manager from Hanford building said she would take care for me. I felt I needed not to go any further. This program is a big scam.

When I first heard about LA Weight, I went in and talked to the ladies. I was like, "finally, someone that really cares." I finally found something that will work and help me and guide me to the weight loss I wanted and needed. That is when I was told that they have their own product and it would speed up my weight loss. They assured me that they have seen better results with the product than without. So I went ahead and included the product. After going with the program for a few weeks, I was not losing the weight that they said I would.

I was going to the weekly visits doing as they said. Finally, they were changing my food habits saying, try eating this and that. I got so frustrated and discouraged. I felt as if it was my fault I was not losing. I even was embarrassed to continue going in because it made me feel as if I were doing something wrong. It was so emotionally draining. I cried because I thought doing everything they said, I would lose the weight. After I stopped going, a lady who was the manager from Visalia had given me a call and she mentioned that they brought her to come and work in Hanford because there have been so many complaints and they were losing the clients.

I explained to her why I stopped going because every time I go, I get different girls telling me different things on what to eat or how to eat. I got frustrated. She said if I was willing to give them another chance and come in. I did go in but to only tell her I want credit for all products I have not used and refunded back. She said she would take care of it. Then after some time, I went back and noticed that the store had been closed and a note on door that it was no longer conducting business. I didn't think anything of it and just assumed everything was taken care of. That is when I was served with papers along with my mother since my mother was the co-signer.

That is also another problem. They told me that I needed to have a co-signer since my credit was good. So I had called my mother and they ran her credit over the phone and was approved. I believe they had me sign her name since they ran her credit over the phone. I had asked Brachfeld law group to send me a copy of the contract of what I was owing so I can read everything since it has been about 4 years or longer. They just send me a typed paper saying I owe this amount and also interest. I was looking online on who I can contact at LA Weight Loss and that is when I found out that most of them have been closed and shut down.

I tried to get phone numbers and had no luck. I was also reading about how the LA Weight Loss was a scam and 20/20 had a special about the program. Also in Washington, LA Weight loss settled in a $10 million lawsuit. Is there anyone that can help me? I feel I should not owe them anything. I've been trying and doing some research for California but no luck. Please, I need help.

I became a member of LA Weight Loss and had to put my program on hold. I went back to pick up protein bars and protein shakes that I had prepaid, and they were closed. I called other centers in the Denver area and they too were closed. No letter, no phone call, nothing - to let the patients know of the scam they were running. This was an expensive program and I didn't see great results and I didn't have faith in the help. I don't think any of them were trained professional nutritionists or doctors. Nothing but people hired off the street. I felt they just wanted to push their weight loss products to make the money. What happens to all the clients who paid big bucks for a service and product that they never received? It isn't fair for the public to be taken advantage of in this way, not from LA Weight Loss or any other company. The State of Colorado should file a class action lawsuit against this company to get innocent, hard working people's money back, just like in the State of Washington.

I and several other people on this on the ConsumerAffairs.com website have money owed to us by LA Weight Loss, aka LA on the Go. Yes, no class action lawsuit has been filed to my knowledge. Is there one?

I initially joined LA Weight Loss (LAWL) on a program that would help me lose weight to a specific amount (which determined the $752.40), and then I would be given 6 weeks stabilization and 10 weeks maintenance. If I stayed within 5 pounds either way after 6 weeks, I would receive 1/4 of my $752.40, then if I stayed within 5 pounds either way of my goal weight, I would receive the other 1/4 of my $752.40. I received 1/4 of my $752.40, and then I inquired about if I could lose more weight on their special.

I asked if I would forfeit the second 1/4 of my $752.40. They told me no! They could freeze my program, help me lose the extra weight, then start 10 weeks of stabilization and then the last 6 weeks of maintenance over again. The final of the money would be given to me if I was within the 5 pounds (either way) of my new weight loss goal. Since then, LA Weight Loss closed their center in Maplewood and pushed me onto the LA on the Go program. I did not sign up for a phone consultation, but having no choice, I went with the flow. This hasn't been working for me; in fact, I've been gaining weight. No, I need help to get my refund.

LA Weight Loss breached their contact with me by removing the human personal consultant and now wanting to drop me altogether. My phone consultant hasn't called me for 4 weeks! I've left messages, and she doesn't reply to them either. I finally called the main switchboard today and doubt that she will call with the message either.

What can I do? Can you help me get my refund? This is a very poor business practice. I would either like a full refund of both amounts (minus the money I already received), a human personal consultant/trainer, or dietician! Please help me (or all of us) resolve this issue.

LA Weight Loss entered into a contract with me in 2006 to provide services for their weight loss program and rebates when I got to certain parts of their program. After reaching my goal weight, I went on a year's maintenance program. I was supposed to receive a rebate in October 2008 after maintaining my weight six months (which I did, weighing in every week at their facility) and a second rebate for the second six months in April 2009, after working through the phone with their counselors because they closed their doors here. I have yet to receive either rebate and through their website, I emailed a request for help on this for the first rebate, which the manager of the facility I went to told me the rebate paperwork was submitted Sept. 2008. And in February 2009, they contacted me and requested that I fax over copies of my original contract, receipt and rebate form to them.

I faxed everything requested and have never heard from them again. I went over to their facility faithfully for two years and three months to weigh in, weighed all my food, journaled, etc. as my part of contract. Then they closed their doors in October 2008. Then I was supposed to get a counselor call every week through their "LA On the GO" alternative to closing their doors. After multiple calls with no answers, mailboxes full, etc., I finally got a live person and counselors started calling but counselors changed frequently because LA Weight Loss has been closing down their doors across the states. I stopped receiving counselor calls with no notice or explanation. I would ask my counselors every week if they found out anything about my rebate but of course it was always "No". I can't believe they are still advertising on the internet as if they are still legitimate and solvent! They are scamming people all over the US! Look at all the complaints below the LA Weight Loss website address!

I also checked with the Better Business Bureau and they have multiple complaints against LA Weight Loss, which LA Weight Loss never addresses or responds to. I understand the corporate office is in Pennsylvania. I utilized the Telegraph Canyon Road, Chula Vista, CA office until it closed. I'm not sure what to put on the address above since it's no longer there. LA Weight Loss was expensive and part of my incentive and motivation for going with this program was because of the rebates I was supposed to receive back and never did. I am very upset that even with a contract, I'm losing out on a few hundred dollars that I can certainly use, as it looks like many, many others are too and I don't know what can be done about it. Could this be a class action suit?

I signed a contract July 24, 2007 with LA Weight Loss in Escondido, CA. I was told that they were a franchise owned by a physician and they would always be there every step of the way. The inital contract was for 15 weeks of loss, 6 weeks of stabilization and 52 weeks of maintenance. I paid $839.35. I was told that I could always amend the contract to purchase more weight loss weeks (which I did) and that there would be rebates for keeping the weight off once I met my goal weight. Once would be paid out $164.85 at 6 months of maintenance and the other (same amount)at 12 months as long as I remained within 5 lbs. either way up/down of my goal.
About 2 weeks into my maintenance time I was told Escondido's office was closing and I would have to go to Oceanside or San Diego. Within a very short time I was told ALL centers were closing and that I should quickly get my prepaid products to make sure I had them and was offered to go on the LA On the Go plan which offered a weekly call from a counselor for weigh ins etc. I chose this option and waited for the call I was supposed to get by the end of the next week. The call never came. I tried calling NUMEROUS times and was told to wait and someone would call me (usually very rudely). I finally got to someone named Brittany who said she would be my counselor but she had to finish a call and would call me back within 10 mins. I didn't receive a call. I called again and was told she was at lunch and would call me. No call. This continued for several weeks until I FINALLY got Brittany again and told her what had happened. She said she didn't have my phone number but we started the weekly calls. She has been wonderful to work with - very supportive and helpful. Always calls on time and lets me know when she is taking a day off and won't be calling. This has happened several times. Generally for holidays - however one week she didn't call so I called the phone in number. It was disconnected. She called the next week and explained that she worked out of her home and gave me the number. Things have been going along fine. I passed my 6 month mark and she supposedly put in the request for my first rebate which she says takes up to 90 days to process. Two weeks ago I told her that I would be out of town for one call. She marked it on her calendar and said she would follow up the next week. I didn't receive a call. She doesn't respond to emails. So this week I waited. When 10 am - my call time passed I called her number. It rang many times and I finally got a computerized message that no one was available and to call back. I tried from another phone to see if maybe caller ID would make her answer. Same thing. I have been trying to call the 800 number for the head office for over an hour this morning and get nothing but a busy signal. I will keep trying but I am very upset and disillusioned. I have kept up all of the parts on my end of the contract and they are just hanging me out to dry without even letting me know. I would definitely be part of a lawsuit. It is amazing I got through the program - I made MANY complaints through the weight loss part. Basically it was a train wreck and it took my sheer will to stay with it but I did it. Now I am still due weeks/months of maintenance time on my contract AND my rebates.

I would like to be a part of any class action lawsuit I might be eligible for in the State of California. $1,200 never returned. Because of this and other debts, we are now bankrupt.

I joined LA Weightloss in December 2006 in Hollister, CA. I paid for everything in full - the program, the LA Lite Bars, and vitamins. I also paid for my daughter's complete program, all with the Care credit card they helped me get. I told them at that time I maybe moving back to Arizona and asked if there would be any problem with any of this. Their answer was no and that they were "one big, happy family."

In March 2007, I did move to Prescott Valley, AZ and went to the Prescott center. When I got there, I found out that things weren't that simple. Prescott took me as a member with no money paid to them, but the Lite Bars was a different story. I tried, and the Prescott center tried to get the Hollister center to transfer the dollar amount for the Lites (and the membership, I think) to be paid to the Prescott center. The Hollister center would not cooperate. The Hollister center said they would ship me my boxes, which at the time was about 102 boxes. I didn't have the room or even know what flavors I wanted since it was a year and a half program. If I wanted a little at a time, I had to pay for shipping. The Prescott center was small and had no room for all of them either.

The Prescott center even tried to get the corporate office to help us, but no one could get this center to respond. I had gone back to Hollister to visit my daughter and went to the Hollister center while there and was going to take some bars back home with me. They told me they did not have enough stock to send me home with even 10 boxes.

The next thing, my daughter from Hollister called me and told me the Hollister center just closed their doors. There's no notice and no person to contact. Well, now, she's out of her center and my money. I continued my program all that time with the Prescott store, but I still had to pay for my Lites, and along with some membership fees, I also had to buy meals and supplements. In time, the corporate office took over my files and informed the Prescott center that they had a credit for the Lites and I could use it at their center. The last time I received any bars, I still had 89 boxes owed to me. Then the Prescott center close mid-summer 2008.

Sometime in September, I had gained some weight back and since the Prescott center was closed, I had available to me LA on the Go. It is a phone-in service and a lady named Patti was answering the phones and helping with the program. She also informed me I had 89 boxes owed to me. I have Hepatitis C and had gone to my doctor for a checkup, and he advised me I should not use any products containing aspartame, which LA Lite bars and products are full of.

I called Patti and told her my problem, and she had me contact J. to explain my situation. I got one response from J. which was a negative response. I have tried to contact her with further information, but she would not respond. Now, I am asking for a refund of a product that I have basically paid for twice and cannot even use. This has really not been a good experience, and I truly believe I have followed through with my part of this whole program. If there is a way I could get help with a refund, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I have just read the lawsuit article against LA Weight Loss and everything that was described is what I went through in June 2005 upon signing up for the program. They told me the only way to be in the program was to sign up for the maintenance and year after program in order to get a refund. Also, they told me that I had to order the LA Lite Bars for the entire time I was on their program. I then heard on the news about a year later that LA Weight Loss was then offering weight loss programs that did not require the maintenance programs which lowered the amount of money upfront by quite a bit. I did not know who to talk with about this problem, but feel that I was misled about the program and the requirements. I also purchased the supplements that they said would boost my metabolism and help lose weight quicker, which it did not. I still have the receipts from the time I signed up and am asking for information on how to get at least half of my money back from the company.

I started on the LA Weight Loss Plan in July of 2007, so this July it will be 2 years! First, I was impressed with the professionalism and results I got. Yes, it is expensive! They start out seeming to be really concerned about your success in your goal of weight loss, but in reality, they are just trying to sell you a product so they can reap the commissions! I have had numerous disputes with the consultants there and have even contacted the corporate office with no results or even a return email!

My main complaint is the promises they give but don't follow through with. One such case was that I earned a merchandise credit for referring in new clients. But then that credit of $100 was taken away later when they later cancelled because the products made them sick. Presently, one of the consultants won't even look at me or take my appointment. She will take the next one waiting instead of me. I was just explaining to her one day why my cousin had to quit as the products had made her sick. The consultant got really loud and not very respectful to me. I told her that I did not appreciate her tone of her voice to me. She told me if I didn't like it, then I was to leave, which I ended up doing!

I did complain to the center's manager as she was there to witness the situation. Nothing was done about it. I can't believe someone would get that angry over me just explaining the situation and then tell me to leave when I am paying them to be there! I do think I did not get my money's worth out of that consultation. This has been almost two months ago and she still will not talk or do my consult. I am paid up until October 2009 and am not quitting to just let them have my money! This place started out as a very nice place to go, but now it is different and difficult.

I had many pounds to lose. If you only have a little weight to lose, this place may be okay. But for the long haul, it is not ideal. Eventually, they become your friend and you lose the professionalism that they should keep regarding your contract, payments and results.

I joined LA Weight Loss in Eau Claire, WI in February of 2008. I was shocked at how much the cost of the program was and how they really pushed their LA Lites on their customers. I signed up for a 2-year contract and used the Care Credit to pay off my $700 balance over a number of months. I did buy about 30 boxes of the LA Lites at $14/box but ended up begging and pleading for a refund when they didn't please me. I thought they were disgusting. I was very happy that I did manage to get a small refund from that.

I began losing pounds immediately and by August of 2008, I had lost 35lbs! I was thrilled with the program, not the counselors, but the actual menu plan to follow. In December of 2008, being busy with school and holiday stuff, I took about 3 weeks off from weighing in. When I went back to weigh in, the center was closed! I had received no phone calls or letters telling me of the center closing! I was very hurt and disappointed in LA Weight Loss. I have tried to contact someone/anyone who could tell me what is going on and if we will receive refunds, but have had no luck with any numbers posted online! I cannot believe all the people throughout the US and Canada that have been robbed of precious money and more importantly, the very effective plan and support.

I am utterly disappointed and have been struggling to lose the additional 20 pounds I was supposed to lose with LA! Can anyone tell me if there is a class action suit being put together in Wisconsin? I would appreciate any information you can give me! Please post any info on this site, I will be checking it! Thanks and good luck to everyone still trying to drop some weight.

When I would go in for my weekly check, (a 45 mile drive for me) they would have a notice on the sign in board saying they were understaffed for the day and could only do weigh ins, no counseling. When August came around I put my account on hold, so I could enjoy my wedding, and my honeymoon. When I got back I never heard from them, they never returned my phone calls, or e-mails. I then went to weigh in one day and the center was closed down. I told Care Credit that I wasn't going to pay for services that were not rendered. They started calling 8-20 times a day. I started making payments when I could to get to stop calling. I thought once everything was cleared about the company they would stop asking. I moved here last February and I am still getting phone calls. Some of the phone calls they have posed as my employer to get me on the line.
I now have been turned over to Encore Collections for a total amount of $312.00 which is more than I owe. I feel that this is a fradulent company and I should not be held responsible for this debt on services that can not be rendered. I now have my credit being ruined as well as threatening phone calls.

I signed up for LA Weight Loss on Saturday, August 28, 2007. When I signed up, Bobbi, who was the store manager told me it would take me a year and one half at least to lose the weight I needed to lose. I could not afford the cost and was encouraged to sign up with Care Credit to get started. I was told that if I would buy the bars and the pills that they said I would need that I could save a lot of money.
Almost immediately I started having trouble getting the products that I was supposed to have. Some of the vitamin products I only got once. Some of the things that were supposed to be available when I signed up were never available. On top of that I only lost 10 pounds. I followed the program exactly, but it never worked. After 4 months of being told it was stress, that I wasn't eating enough and not being able to get the bars that I was supposed to use twice a day, I told Bobbi I wanted my money back. She said I wasn't the only one who was dissatisfied, and filled out a refund application on December 28, 2007. I heard nothing. I called several times. Finally, I got to talk to Deb Tighe who was the new manager. Bobbi never even signed the form she filled out. Deb said that there was nothing to show that Bobbi had ever sent anything in. Deb filled out another form and found that Bobbi hadn't even given me credit for what I was owed. Care Credit is charging me for $2,192.25 of product that I never received.

I was a client and I lost 50lb's so the manager thought I would be a great counselor as well. So I went through all the training and became a counselor. I thought I would be helping other people to loose weight like I did. However the pressure was on to sell, sell, sell the products and don't care about the clients so much. Get them in the door and out as soon as possible but get as much $$$ out of them. I was more into the helping of the clients I was treated with disrespect from the Manager. She made me really uncomfortable. She gave me the worst hours and then went so far as to give me a 5 hour split shift when she knew I lived 25 miles way. She also made up a lie that I was being rude to the customers and my co-workers also agreed that the other person that also has the same name as mine was the one being rude to the clients, however that person made more $$$ for LA. So you know it came down to the $$$ and they really didn't care about the people! I have since quit them as a counselor.
When I was in training we watched a video with the owner talking about La Weight Loss and he admitted to buying it to make money. The Manager at the other center that I weight in at was not very nice to me after that point so i'm not really sure what that was all about. So who want's to go somewhere that makes them uncomfortable and I was also put under pressure to buy, buy, buy, I knew what it was albout now so I quit the center as well

In May of 2008 I joined LA Weight Loss in Gresham. I only had about 8 pounds to lose but paid for the year to do it.We were going on a cruise and wanted to lose the 8 lbs. It seemed like it should have been simple but it didn't work, despite the Lites, the LA Slim drink and the set meal plans (2 of each food group/day). I couldn't figure out what was wrong until I saw the centers were closing. There were so many things that should have been red flags to me, but like everyone else, I didn't want to believe these people weren't professionals who knew nothing about nutrition or weight loss. On the Jenny Craig program 10 years ago I lost 20 lbs and kept it off until about a year ago when I started playing tennis on a regular basis and couldn't get it off. I had gone back to JC but didn't like setting up an appointment once a week and again it seemed like they cared less about me than selling the program. I honestly thought LA was different but alas--they weren't. As of their closing my center in Gresham, they owe me $200. I'd like very much to be a part of a class action lawsuit to get my money back.

I signed up for the full program with over 600.00 for the program and almost 400.00 for the LA LITES [product]. I came into the center March of 2008 and they told me to attend at least 3 times a week if I could. I went into the office at least 4 times and received like 3 boxes of the bars and two of their meals at the most. I asked the ladies with the lab coat were they trained and they let me know that they were customers who got a job just talking to people as they came in and they were there to give encouragement on progress. But every time I went I was pushed to buy pills and vitamins and misc. I signed a contract to pay CARE CREDIT.

I get a bill every month to pay it and I do because it will damage my credit. I have called numerous times and was sent to LA on the go, which they told me they have nothing to do with the franchise that did this to me. After screaming literally at one lady at LA on the go about how do I get a hold of anyone, she gave me corporate # to LA Weight Loss and I tried to no success at all. It's a fake voicemail that gives you a bunch of different directories and no one answers to the calls nor do you get to leave a recording because it says this mailbox is full so it sends you to a operator which says hold on the line but the call is never answered even if you sit on the call for a hour.

I called the LA on the go again and they said well try their email which is fake too. This is what they gave me: franchisecustomerser@la-weightloss.com. Now that page cannot be found. I told the lady at the LA on the go again this did not work. She proceeded to tell me "I don't care about your situation and I don't know what to tell you." She informed me their center was in Idaho and Corporate is in Pennsylvania. I let her know that LA Weight Loss centers have run a shady operation and have screwed thousands of people including me out of a great deal of money.

On April 17th, 2008, my sister, Lori, and I joined L.A. Weight Loss center because we both have health problems and need to lose weight to get more healthy. The Associate who signed us both up at the same time was Shannon **. She talked us both into joining. We were not told of the hidden costs. It cost us both $439.20 to join. Not until our second visit which was 3 days later did they spring it on us that it would cost another $1,610.72 for the LA Weight Loss bars that we had to have. It was part of the program and we had to have it. She said, "Oh don't worry. We will put it on a credit card called CareCredit." She said, "We can get you signed up right away. It only takes a few minutes."

My sister and I were in a state of shock paying that much for a diet bar. We just weren't expecting it and were dumbfounded. Anyway she did it and it was over. We had 6 months to pay it. I think it was 6 months, without any finance charge. I couldn't pay it in 6 months so I had to put in on another credit card before the six months was up, because I couldn't pay it in time. It has caused me nothing but stress, and the program was not what they said it was. The girls that worked there were not Nutritionists like they led us to believe. Not good counseling and they pushed you to buy more. Since August of 08, I have been laid off work and it is very difficult to try and pay all this money.

When they closed in Dec. 08 Kayla ** told us we could not get our money back for the Bars and we could only get back some of our Original amt. of the $439.20. That was in Dec. It is now January 1st, and we have heard nothing. Can't get through to anybody. I feel we have been taken for this money and not gotten what they promised. It is just wrong to steal from people who cannot afford it and treat them like this. I feel L.A. Weight Loss should be held accountable and all of us should get our hard-earned money back. It has caused nothing but stress and worry. It has made me sick.

I repeatedly tried to send emails and called to the Weight loss center. I got little replies. Finally on September 12 2008 I got a call from Ilea McCann who said I was entitled to a refund of $1200+ and that it would take about 60 weeks. On October 20th I went in person to the store . I was told that the refunds were taking 6-8 weeks and that they had all been approved. the woman showed me a stack about 3 inches thick of faxes that were faxed to the corporate offices. She could not find mine and said it was probably in the last batch. At the time I was not told anything about the store closing or the company going out of business. I waited and kept trying to get in touch with Ileane again. I could not get Thur on any of the toll free numbers and finally went by the store again today 10/12/08 to find the doors locked and a note to contact two other location for products. When I called the Gresham store, I was told that they too were closing there doors that day. and referred me to LA on The Go @ 877-522-2577. All I got all day was their VM which I left several messages but no return call.
Where do I go from here? Is there a law suit I can have my name added to?

They told me the bars were non refundable. I asked to see the paper i signed that had said that. The one i signed in Green Bay said that only merchandise removed from the store was non-refundable. On TV they advertised a Half off Sale One week only. Went in and enrolled in their program. For a total over $1700. Split between my Visa and Care Credit. March 2008 - Doing well on the program and finally losing weight. Mid-to Late March they announce that this center is closing and reducing the hours open. But would continue to do all they could to help until then. All our usual counsels disappeared. We were left with only on. How can they do this... ONE MONTH after this HUGE SALE - You know they knew they were going to be closing. I feel completed cheated. I feel we were all taken... They were preying on us vunerable overweight people...just looking for maybe their last change for help. April 2008 By now the center is open only 3 times a week. Which was a requirement of my program. Also this month we were told we had to decide if we would continue with their phone in program or to end the program totally. After telling them of my desire to end the program. They attitude really changed. Things like Stating I can not give you another journal - They are only for people continuing with the program. April 25,2008. I had a credit of 138 boxes at 9.98 each. Lindey the only counselor left at this point. Completes the Refund application. After all is said and done the form said they would be crediting back my Visa for $1120.05. But since the center was due to close for another month. And due to the number of refunds they had to do. She told me it would take 2-3 months before I would see the money. May 2008 Memorial Weekend - Center Closed I have found no way to contact anyone. Can get through on any phones, e-mails. September 2008 frustrated, angry and feeling really cheated. I contacted my credit card company. They can't help me apparently because it's been too long? I found out on June 21, 2008 that the office in Greeley Colorado was going to close and my options were to switch to the LA on the go program or cancel my membership. I opted at that time to cancel my membership with an estimated $249.00 refund. Then in about 2 months later I stopped into the office and thought I would try the LA on the go program because my cancellation was not process as of yet. Ericka the manager of this location indicated that it would probably take 6 months or more to even get my refund anyway. I called the LA on the Go program at 877-522-2577 on 9/08/08 and left a message (with no reply), I called again on 9/11/08 and again left another message (with no reply), I called again on 9/16/08 and left yet another message with no reply, I called again on 9/17/08 and talked with someone named Jennifer and conveniently I was hung up on. I did not hear from the Manager at all. I then proceeded to send an email to the LA Weight Loss customer service at www.la-weightloss.com/site/contactusemail.aspx.On the email I expressed my same issues about the membership and requested it to be canceled. I received a call from Linda at LA on the Go on 10/13/08 and she indicated that she wanted to shedule a meeting time with me for the program. She said that she was responding to the email that was sent to Customer Service. I told her that I had already called many times and that I did not want to work with their company at all. But I then started having health issues. I could not focus on the plan while being in such pain. so I was put on hold until I was better. I thought I was getting better so I tried to get back into it. I found that I had a frozen shoulder and it was going to take up to 1 to 2 years to recover and to get the use of my arm again. Soon there after I fell and injured my ribs. So once again I needed to be put on hold. While this is going on I have paid in full. I am close to the end of my contract and needed more time. I WAS TOLD BY JANICE THAT I STILL HAD MY STABILIZATION/MAINTANCE THAT I HAD NOT USED. I COULD USE THAT BUT WHEN I REACHED THAT POINT OF NEEDED IT I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SEEING I USE IT FOR THE WEIGHT LOSS PART OF IT. THIS WAS DOCUMENTED IN MY FILE. I might add that she was spoken to for offering me that. This past March I became very ill on top of dealing with the pain of my shoulder. It was believed at first that it was galbladder related. Through test it proved not to be. But the symptoms were still there. So of course more test were ran. Donna and Pat were aware that I was not well and that was why I was on hold and off hold. They wished me well as I said I have to be on hold until I know what is going to happen. I spoke with Donna on the phone and asked what if I can not stay on the plan due to my illness and she said all I would have to do is fax her a letter from my doctor and I would get a refund. I faxed the letter sometime after my diagnosis along with the test results.(which she stated she received) proving that I could not stay on this type of diet. I was diagnosis with Gastropresis. This is where the stomach does not function correctly and so it does not digest food properly. This is where the problems started I would call and never get a call back this has been going on for months now. when I finally got a hold of someone I was told that Maintance was free (not so) and stabilization was for 6 weeks(not so). They said I used two weeks of it. this is not so. I signed a contract May 31, 2007 to come to the center 3x a week. I spent almost $1000.00 for counseling and LA Bars and was told after I reached my goal and maintained I would get $330.00 back. After 16 lbs, I was ready to set a stabilization goal, and they lose the doors end of August 08. It has been nothing but trouble and I do have other phone numbers and names to offer. The 1-800 number is in Idaho Falls, ID. They have sent me 30 boxes and still owe me 22 more thru Care Credit Card that is similar to the other stories. I continue to pay because I do not want my credit altered.

The problem herein lies with the contract i signed. They said I never will get my $330.00 back, also I went to the center 80 miles round trip to Pueblo, CO (Manager Sandy ** who refuses to help me bec. she says she doesn't work for them anymore and she is no longer doing the program) (also Aimee **, Hillary, and 4 others who were heavy working on commissions) 10 weeks in a row to comply with their latest and greatest offer and get 4 more weeks free and 50.00 in store credit free. But ID folks on the 800# said they cannot honor that, bec. they are simply accommodating people from centers that closed and that they do not owe money.

When I do call I get a recording, sometimes like a call center where they take a message, and it is repeated with giving them your story over and over again, until they set you up with Marilyn or Kimberly, by then they are upset and put the Manager on the phone who wants to hear your story AGAIN. By then you are mad, trying to be nice, to just get your product out of them. Why should I feel victimized again at my age? I just wanted to pay for professional counseling regarding my food plan to live a long and healthier life.

Last week, 10/09/08, I received my weekly call for the second time and it backfired. I ask abt. the credit, bars, stabilization info I still had not received. Then the Manager Kimberly (would not give last name) chewed me out and said I would not be contacted by phone bec. they were not going to listen to me repeatedly and they would handle me by email. (I agreed until I get my products.) Whoever heard about proper food habits and health match by email???? I just wanted a real person.

I am a lifetime member of Weight Watchers and I just needed to continue on stabilizing and maintaining good food habits. I am not obese. I thought this was a medical, professional business. I enjoyed these people at the center and finally when I wanted to finish the last part of my contract, they closed the doors and said call in. I said, “What abt. my refund?,” then they changed the numbers and info. and said to call this 800#. I feel robbed, ashamed, a victim, angry and taken advantage of when they will not even return my emails. I just wanted someone to listen who was educated and experienced.

I originally joined LA Weight Loss on 8/14/07 and paid $399.00. I was totally dissatisfied and cancelled. They were to send me my refund. It is a year later and I still have not received my refund. I went to the location I joined at, the doors are locked, no sign on door and phone number no longer working. I found another location in my city and went in there. They gave me a runaround but said they would check with their corporate and call me back. No one called so I have been calling them. Morgan, the girl now answering, said she will look into this for me and call me back.

I called her back, she said she is waiting for corporate to respond to her email and she will call me. I asked her for a phone number to corporate and she gave me 1-877-LA-HELP-1. That number is not a working number. I called Morgan to ask for a number that works - she said that is the only number she has. It seems that none of the 800 or 877 numbers are valid or working. The number on their main website 8003314035, which is the number to call to find a location in your area; I called the number and a recording tells you no centers in my calling area. No matter where you call from, the same recording is played.

It seems they are a big scam. Trying to contact them is next to impossible, and wanting to know where my $399.00 refund from a year ago is, I am like a dog chasing my tail, round and round getting nowhere! It seems other states have lawsuits with LA Weight Loss and consumers in those states have gotten refunds back. I am in CA and want to know what to do to get my $399.00 back. I hope you can help me. Thank you.

I asked for a refund simply because of my situation. I was told that it would not be possible. I have been extremely disappointed with this company. They have not tried to help me one bit!!! I have been passed around from represenative to represenative. Each one has stated the regional manager will get back with me.. i have been waiting now a month and a half for a response. I am being charged for products that i do not have. I was charged for everything up front meals, pills, ect. and told it would be the only way my items will be secured, they will be held in the office until i begin to run out. I will be lead to a better lifestyle in a slow progression.

Now that i cannot go back because of my situaion nor can i have clutter surrounding my mothers home as people are entering daily for treatments. they have made it very difficult to relieve me of some worries! She was the one that told me there were 2 refunds they were waiting on to be processed (over $300). She also told me that I should have been refunded my money when I asked about it when I wasn't losing the weight I thought I was supposed to be. She said that in the contract, it states if you don't lose an ave. of 2 lbs. a week, you get refunded. No one ever gave the copy of the contract to me and they would say they would get it but never did. Now, they have closed that store, 3 in OKC, OK that I have tried to contact and the one in Wichita Falls, TX. So now, there is no way to get in touch w/ anyone.

After losing approx 35 lb on my own, my weight loss slowed & I responded to a TV ad offering a special short-term membership from LA Weight Loss because I wanted to speed up the loss and lose another 25 or 30 pounds. When I went into the center, the assistant manager helping me told me very little about the special deal but instead promoted a one year membership that she said was a much better deal because it offered guarantees and followup.

The total cost came to $570 for 50 weeks and she said I needed to sign some papers to get 6 months payments interest free. I did not realize I was committing to a Care Credit card; I thought it was an LA Weight Loss sponsored payment plan so I was surprised when I got a credit card in the mail. When I called in to ask about it, some new person said I should have known. I also told the original assistant manager that I had been bulemic for years in the past and that you are never really cured from bulemia--you just take it one day at a time, and also that I was diabetic but my blood sugar was under good control.

Her main question was had I been bulemic in the past 2 years, which I had not, but I told her it would be so easy to fall back into bulemia. She said if I did, I couldn't be part of the program. She also said they had numerous clients on the program that were diabetic and they did great on it. On my second visit, they really pushed the LA Lite, a sort of candy bar that has corn syrup on the label as the first ingredient. I had been given a discount coupon for a bulk purchase of these candy like bars and they said I had to buy them on my second visit to get the discount. So I bought a contract for 40 boxes which had to be taken at the rate of 2 boxes per week even though you paid all at once.

The cost of the bars was $436.13 which I paid on either a personal credit card or a check. After 2 or 3 weeks of following the program, I had gained 3 pounds--it truly was larger quantities than I had been eating while I lost my initial weight prior to joining, but they said to keep on eating the bars and stay on the program. They looked at my food diaries each visit and each "counsellor" told me I was making good choices, although when I didn't lose weight they said I needed to drink extra water if I ate one of the diet meals, which wasn't in their handbook because you had to drink 8 glasses of water per day anyway plus you had to eat 2 fruits per day and their own literature said pears was one of the best for fiber but then they said I should eat citrus fruit instead of pears., etc.

It was like they were making up the directions as they went along, never mind what their own booklets said. I did lose one pound of the 3 I gained on their program by the 8th week but my blood sugar was up and I felt I was becoming bulemic again, all due to the LA Lite bars. They were so sweet and had very little nutritional value and they made me crave more and more sweets which was one of the things that lead me to bulemia years ago. During the first 8 weeks I mentioned I felt like I was becoming bulemic again and all they said was 'if you do, you can't stay on the program.' At that point, staying on the program was the least of my worries--bulemia can be life threatening and I didn't want to take a chance of getting it again. On my initial phone call, they said they had 9 dietitians on their staff and I had hoped to be able to get counselling to deal with my food issues.

On my first visit after I joined, I asked to talk with a dietitian, and I was told that they had none on their local staff but I could ask them questions and they would call a dietitian at the main office. I feel mislead on that--I would never have joined if I had known there was not a dietitian at that office. I went in and signed papers on or about May 30, 2008, and we agreed on a refund on the membership of $349.20.

At that time, they said I couldn't get anything back for the LA Lite candy bars that had not been picked up and taken home. They said it was in the papers I signed but they would have someone call me. The next day, someone named Lou Ann called and said she would consider a partial refund on the bars. Later, Natalie said they would refund $142.70 for the unpicked up bars, which is a LOT less than what I was charged. She said it would be 4-6 weeks to process my refunds since it was done at headquarters.

After about 8 weeks when I received nothing, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Natalie filed a response in which she said she had done her part and it was now up to Brentwood, TN., which is out of the Knoxville BBB jurisdiction. Then I found out the office I had joined had been sold and the new owner says he is not liable and I had to collect from the previous owner in Brentwood. The local office gave me some phone numbers and e-mail addresses and I called and e-mailed all of them.

No one ever responded to voice messages or e-mail and the local BBB says it can do nothing more. These people are bait and switch experts and seem to be practicing medicine without a license and they are con artists. I have since found out that the local workers are low paid and depend on commissions on the bars and supplements and according to my internet searches, it appears that many of the offices are having legal and financial problems, some even settling on damages for class action lawsuits. I am sorry I ever went there. Besides dealing with the problems of elevated blood sugar, and the financial loss of over $1000, this has been extremely stressful and stress is extremely difficult for anyone, especially a diabetic.

Moved to location that was twice as far as the original location and not frequented by me. Gasoline costs and time invested. I trusted or wanted to be able to trust the staff. When you have weight issues you discuss things with your counseler. It devestated me mentally and I was unable to focus on the weight program after that. I joined LA planning to spend about $200-$300 dollars and ended up spending about $1000. I only wanted to lose about 40 pounds. (Which I did) I did find the program to work and I even became an advocate for then, referring clients and posting my success story at the clinic. However, my complaint is this, my incentive to lose and commit was the refund check that was guaranteed after maintenance. (If the weight stayed off). I received a small check in late December and another in January. They told me they sent for my refund just days before the first check came because I was getting curious as to how long it was taking.

Here is what ticks me the worst. I deposited the first check immediately because I spent a little more at Christmas than planned and needed it. I then waited a few weeks more for the second one. I planned to use the cash to cover some vacation debits and thought nothing more of it. That is until I returned from my weekend away and found a bank statement with over $100 dollars in charges due to insufficient funds. I could hardly believe it. I immediately called the bank and they said they would research what happened and would get back to me. (I had perfect banking with them up until now) Later that day they called and said it was due to a stop payment on my refund check. WHAT? I was livid and called LA immediately.

Of course the manager was unavailable. (the whole day) so after picking up my bank statement the next morning, I went into the center and did my complaining. She told me that they only submitted one check so she didn't know what happened. I then said if it was a clerical error they could have had the respect and decency to pick up the phone and say so. They have all of my information on file. Communication could and would have avoided all this. No one contacted me or tried to say, hey we made mistake and need to collect. No, they almost seemed to maliciously get their money back. They did not have to use that tactic. I am an honest person.

It has been nearly three months and all they can tell me is we are waiting for a response from Pittsburgh. They said that they do not have a customer service contact there so I just have to wait. She did however say she would shoot them an e mail. The manager also said that she used to work at the bank and if it were my first offense they could take off all the fees. Wrong and insulting. I asked them for a refund of all the fees and a statement for my bank claiming ignorance and fault. I would like to keep my good standing with them. I am about to demand a contact number or email. It seems like they think that if enough time goes by may be I will let it go. Not my style.

I have lost money, gas and time addressing this. Money and time that is valuable to me. I have two small children (2 and 4) not easily dragged into the clinic. I have gone there every week since this has happened to inquire. Some times twice. It became too difficult to do with two active toddlers so I had to arrange childcare and my days just to get a polite reply that we are still waiting. If I tried to call there was even less of an answer. As a preschool teacher I am not wealthy and do not have cash to just extend to any one. I just do not know what to do next so I am hoping telling them I filed a complaint will help.

I never did lose weight and was always hungry. They went out of business and I am out about $900 for the bars I didn't receive. I think this was a scam way to advertise and I was told how inexpensive this was until I went in and they hit you with all the stuff you needed to buy for it to be successful. I paid for services and merchandise that was never delivered.

I enrolled in an 18-month weight loss program plus one year of maintenance in March of 2007. The program and office closed without notice and later filed bankruptcy after I filled out a claim form for a refund. It was a tremendously stressful situation for me since I had prepaid for the services and had invested both emotionally and financially in what was my final attempt at weight loss without resorting to surgery. Since then, I have regained 10 lbs of the weight I had taken off, but I cannot afford another program.

It was returned not deliverable as addressed. My contract was for weight loss, stabilization, and maintenance. In addition, I had purchased additional bars in advance. I believe the amount due back to me for the unfilled part of my contract is $248 plus the cost of 11 boxes of bars (at least $175 or more), for a total of at least $423, also, the medical issue caused by not being able to complete the program due to diabetes.

I realize now the amount of sugar in the mandatory bars was not good for a diabetic, and were very addictive to get off. I went out on a limb to pay this amount so I could get healthy. I can't afford to pay out this kind of money to someone else and don't even want to knowing that something like this could happen again. I would appreciate any help with this matter.

I first visited LA Weight Loss in February, 2007. I have tried and had little to no success with other weight loss programs and was hoping that the one-on-one counseling would help keep me on track and provide me with the motivation I needed. WRONG. First of all, I know what my main obstacle with weight loss is. At one point, many pounds ago, I had someone take an inappropriate interest in me sexually. This sent me into therapy, cost me a job, and the pounds started packing. Obviously, I am not shy about this. I realize that this is the obstacle in my weight loss success, and I told the weight counselors about this incident and how I was working through it in therapy. Instead, the LA Weight Loss employees remained staunchly convinced that my husband was the cause of my slow (15 pounds in 15 weeks) progress, as supposedly he wanted to keep his wife fat so that she wouldn't be attractive to other men. I burst into tears right there in the office and fled, never to return.

While I don't expect that everyone's experience would be as severe as mine, the fact remains that I lost very little weight, and constantly roller-coastered the entire time I was on the plan. I also paid over a thousand dollars up front and was constantly pressured to purchase their product. I also never had my measurements taken or my blood pressure when I was supposed to. If you are like me and have a real emotional problem that is trying to set you up for failure, do what I did and consult with a therapist about what you should do.

I went in around the end of November and they had changed their hours they were only open about 3 days a week and no Saturdays. My normal days to go in were Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday and now they were closed those days. At that time I asked Debra what was going on and were they closing and she told me, no this was just for the holidays. About 2-3 weeks later they had a note on the door that they were closing.

I was very upset because I paid $558.16 to join and had bought a bulk plan of bars for $237.44. With this bulk plan you could get the bars each week and not pay anymore until this was used. They owed me 11 boxes of bars. I was also told at the beginning of January if you wanted to go to the Greenville office they were calling everyone. I received a message from the Greenville office and returned their call to get a voice mail. I have now called numerous times and left messages and have not received a call back. This is not right. The contract that I signed with LA weight Loss says they will commit to help you lose weight and reach your goal. They will provide counseling at least 3 times a week and no less than 2 times a week. No one notified me. I paid them over 700 for services that were to last through next year. And part of that money was also for protein bars of which I was owed about 30 boxes. From what I am told they are just throwing out refund claims containing personal information. And if you do not have your contract you are not getting a refund because they already threw all of that away. I do not have my contract because I didn't want my husband to know I was going to do this while he was gone. However, I used Care Credit. Before I joined I was very misled about the cost of the program. The amount was according to the amount of time to get to my goal weight, not the amount indicated in the advertisement. Apparently the cost of counseling weighed heavily into this amount (which amounted to me being weighed on a scale once per week, and asked what products I wished to purchase.) There was always lots of pressure to purchase their foods and supplements. I agreed to pay this amount, then was told that I needed to purchase the Lite Bars to successfully lose the weight. This, of course, would be a benefit to me to purchase the bulk of them immediately, so I could get a discount on the expensive bars. To get to my goal weight, I needed to purchase 98 boxes of LA Lite Bars. I am still eating the bars that I purchased a year and a half ago, and probably have about 30 more boxes left.

I was told that I would have support after my paid counseling months were up. Even after my goal weight was obtained, I should feel free to stop in as often as needed to pick up diaries and the tools to get me started back up again. After I stopped in today, I was told that I could not have any of the information or weekly diaries because the program is now changed and that I would need to pay membership again. It cost me approx. $1,500 to join, and I lost 14 lbs. which did not stay off. Now they want me to pay again to get what was promised to me the last time.

Of course during all these weeks, I was highly encouraged to purchase nutrition bars, supplements, drinks, shakes and snacks that would help. I was told in November (in secret by an employee of LA Weight Loss) that the center would be closing! It did not matter about the success of its clients, they were not making the amount of money they thought off of all the sales of nutrition supplements. They chose instead to offer the choice of going to two other centers, both of which are over 50 miles round trip! A lot of the clients at this center live close by or come by on their breaks. They cannot drive that far. LAWL also gave the option of doing their LA on the GO which consists of buying their pre packaged food at an exhorbitant cost. One Saturday I was out there to get weight in and returned the following Saturday to find I note on the door that because of legal issue they could not longer proform business there. I never recieved I call or letter about them closing and never to this date recieved any of my refunds back.

Paid money up front for services that were not met. They closed before my time was up and didn't return my money.
