Overall it is a great product. Very smooth ride and cut grass effortlessly. My husband loves this so much and now we cut our grass twice a week! Cannot be happier about this purchase. It is a bit pricey but totally worth it.
The Toro mower operates just as expected. It is easy to use and adjust settings like the height of the mower deck. I highly recommend this mower for anyone. You can purchase a Toro mower with great confidence in its operation and reliability.
I'm sure product is great if I could get one.. I was and am approved instantly! Except for the fact what they don't tell you is you must wait for your card to be sent to you 7-10 days to buy online. Didn't get this tad bit of info till they already ran my info. Seems to me anything I have been instantly approved for was instant.. But I guess I have the definition of instant wrong. Then of course have to wait to be shipped out and receive. So if trying to buy now and expect soon. Think otherwise. I'm figuring 2 weeks. Told me, Even gave me phone numbers of Dealers I could go to. That I could go, and info would be in system of approval. Where the other problem starts. The numbers they gave me of their "Dealers" multiple places do not stock. They do not even sell them! They have no clue who sells their products? Seems to me this needs work.
The mowers are great tools, however, the plastic parts are flimsy and break easily. To add to this, customer service is of no service at all! After a 20 minute phone call, I was told that they would not replace the discharge side piece nor the flap that holds it in place, even though we purchased the extended warranty on the mower. These parts are obviously reoccurring problems and expenses that the company hasn't tried to correct, and they offer no solutions. Not even discounted prices for these poorly made parts. Perhaps that's just another way for the company to make more money on the same product.. This has resulted in the company losing yet another loyal customer and money, futures purchases, etc, so we will be shopping around for a better quality mower, hopefully from a company that cares about its customers.
The Toro zero turn time-saver lawn mower (75755) has been nothing but trouble. The cutting belt keeps on breaking. Just recently the pto switch broke. Plastic junk. In order to fix I have to take back this lawn mower to a registered dealer. The cost for delivery and return is $100. This part can be easily fixed by me within minutes. They refuse to send a replacement part unless it's looked at by a Toro dealer. I would never have purchased this mower if I had known of their tricky policies. Buyer beware.
Toro 22 in self-propelled lawnmower came with a bad Carburetor, and Toro steered the customers into believing it was bad gas ⛽ or oil???? Until the warranty ran out! I will never buy a Toro product again..
I called Toro Customer Service to inquire about parts to tune-up my Toro lawn mower. The representative was very helpful. She identified the correct part numbers and directed me to Toro.com for purchase. One of the parts was a small can of paint. She offered to send this to me at no charge. The following week when the part did not arrive, I called Toro to follow-up. The representative told me that the order never went through and that she would resubmit the order. Then she called back and left a message that she could not send me the can of paint because my mower was "out of warranty". I knew that. Toro knew that.
Subsequently, a supervisor relayed a decision not to honor what the Toro representative had promised and refused to send the paint at no charge as she promised. This is not a warranty issue. It is the case of Toro not honoring a promise that was made to a customer. The value of the paint can was about $5.00. That is not the point either. Toro does not stand by its word. This incident has alienated me as a customer and I will no longer purchase Toro products. Furthermore, when it comes time to replace my mower, I will purchase a Honda lawn mower. Anyway, Honda lawn mowers are rated considerably higher by Consumer Reports.

Picked up from Home Depot on 8.20.20. Used five times then put up for winter. Three weeks ago mowed front lawn and fine. Two weeks ago went to use on back lawn and it wouldnt work. Was belching and smoking. Brought in today (my mom was in icu for past 11 days). They wouldnt exchange. Come on... Who mows dead grass in the winter??? So now....had to leave to repair and it will take 6-8 weeks. Pathetic. Shame on Toro. Shame on home depot. I ended up having to buy another mower. Do not buy from either company!!!! Holly-Booneville MS.
I bought a new Toro mower less than a year ago. I used it twice before storing it for the winter. I used gas with Sta-Bil, and ran the gas out before storage. Now it won't start. Printed clearly on the packaging is "guaranteed to start". Toro will pay for repair UNLESS it is because the carburetor is gummed up. I followed all manual instructions, but they won't help with the problem. Instead they suggested I buy small engine fuel from home depot to run it. They do not stand behind their product!
I was told the Turf Master was a good mower. I was concerned about the price but decided to buy it despite my concern. Turns out it worthless. It won't cut grass without bogging down. It won't pick up leaves. Half the time I am not even sure the blades are turning. If Toro would give me my money back I would gladly give them their mower back. It seriously was a huge waste of my money. I regret making this purchase. It the worst lawn mower I have ever owned.
Called a Toro dealer and I do have a warranty on my lawnmower. When I explained to the guy what was wrong with the machine, he told me they were not servicing lawnmowers for the rest of the year. What a way to do business. I will not be buying Toro products anymore. You buy the product and they dump you off like your service doesn't mean anything. I am very disappointed at the way I was treated and will not shop there again!
$4000 TORO old mower engine failed a month before warranty ended. The hour meter has about 20hrs for 2 1/2 seasons of use. 20 hrs of light residential use. No hills, no fields. TORO's warranty service center upon inspection claim they found oxidation (rust) in the bottom of one of the cylinders. They found pitting in the cylinder wall. They didn't think it was a manufacturer defect. Denied the warranty claim. The mower was stored in a shed. There is no external damage or evidence of rust on the exterior of the mower. The service repair center or TORO can't or wont give any explanation as to the cause of the motor failure. The cost of replacement is $2000.
None of the grass goes in the bag. It goes everywhere but you can literally see it blowing out through the front of the lawn mower, worst lawn mower I've ever owned in 48 years. I guess it's time to move on to another brand.
I've had 6 Toro mowers with 3 warranty claims. They have never honored their warranty. My last mower a Zero Turn had a plastic pulley come apart during the warranty period and their explanation was that it was wear and tear. They said they only cover manufacturer defects. I'm not sure how you determine whether it's wear and tear or a manufacturer defect when you haven't even seen the item. Never had this problem with any other manufacture I've bought from.
I've owned Toro push mowers and have always been excellent so buying a riding lawn mower Toro is the best I think for usage and reliability and my Grandfather ran a lawn mower shop and he said Toro mowers were the best you can buy.
Have owned the an old Wheel Horse/Toro lawn tractor for over thirty years. Toro has the parts needed when repairs are required. I have several other Toro products I enjoy at present. I have their snowblower, push lawn mower, weed wacker, and hedge trimmer. All have been excellent performers for years. I am very happy with the Toro line.
I have not used or tested another brand so I have no point of comparison but I would definitely recommend Toro. As with any other machinery it needs to be cleaned and maintained for long-term performance. Definitely makes lawn work easier.
I bought my Toro in 2007 and it’s still doing great! It’s a zero turn and I’ve had very few repairs over the years! I can get right next to my flower beds and I don’t have to use the weed eater. I would never even consider buying another brand due to my positive experience. I’m 63 years old and my Toro is easy for me to use! That was a wise choice. If you want a lawn mower that is durable and long lasting, buy a Toro.
When you put the Toro in gear and grab the handles, it's like being a king in your yard. My neighbor hates it when I get on my Toro to cut my paradise path. He knows he has to get up and cut his too. The neighbor's kid will say to his dad, "He is cutting his yard daddy, you gotta cut your yard now." I smiled the first time he did it and still smile to this day.
Toro mower model 20373. Purchased 2/17. 7/20 noticed deck is cracked where both sides wrap to front of deck. Just in front of front wheel mounts. Spoke with toro rep. "Sorry 1 year out of warranty." Spoke with a manager, same answer. Out of warranty. We aren't talking about a broken wheel or cable. Without a strong deck there is no mower. Maybe other reviewers are correct, cheap Chinese steel. Toro response was, "take to an authorized dealer for repair but the cost falls to you." So what's a deck cost?? $100, $200? Maybe I'll buy a goat for my lawn cutting. Not only will it keep my lawn mowed but I can get milk from it. And if it cracks, well goat burgers.
Purchased new in 8/2018. In shop after 3 weeks for $100+ repair. Died again in 6/2020. This time was told the engine needed replacement and replacement is no longer available so only option was to scrap it (but they would scrap it as part oF the $30 shop cost). Owned less than 2 years, in for repairs twice for about $200, make your own reliability conclusion.
Needed a new lawnmower, and also wanted an electric start. This mower was perfect for my needs. And the price was also very good. The lawnmower is a rear drive self propelled ‘Pace’ just push in on the drive handle and way you go. I found that the mower is a bit awkward to handle around corners and when backing up due to the configuration with the drive handle bar and also because it is a bit heavy for these maneuvering activities. Also, the handle is straight, which means I have to remove the connecting/adjusting bolts to drop the handle down Which is just awkward. I had not noticed this until I tried to store the mower in my normal spot. Had to change the storage to my larger shed. Overall, great mower cut.
It was the late 1970s in suburban America, I bought my first car $5.00 at a time cutting grass with a 21" Toro. More than 1200 1/4 and 1/3 acre lawns. Flash forward 40 years and Toro has gone the way of other quality American companies. Now it's just Chinese JUNK, sold on a name and reputation earned years ago, here in the good ole USA. The 50" deck disintegrated in 5 years. Any exposed metal rusts through very quickly because the "steel" is reprocessed scrap made in backyard furnaces by a peasant slave labor force. The engineering calculations don't work for the same reason, the steel is crap, so both front wheel brackets on my zero turn have collapsed. For some reason they can't make a carb that doesn't leak internally these days, so the oil was diluted with fuel and the engine threw a rod.
To add insult to injury the parts are crazy expensive. Over $600.00 for a deck stamping! My brother just paid $6600.00 for his new American made mower because of the crazy regulation and tax burden placed on medium business by the out of control government. We're putting ourselves out of business, out of jobs and out of quality products and peace of mind just to grow this useless government. Vote for smaller government, buy American and enjoy tomorrow, or become the peasant slaves.
If you like working on the engines after 2 uses on small lawns, then these are for you. Every 2 or 3 mows, I have to change the gaskets and hope the darn thing works. It's only 4 years old. Now the darn thing won't start at all, even though I used it just a week ago. Been like this for 3 years, parts are expensive, and I'm pretty sure it's the auto-choke. I spend more time trying to get the thing to run than it takes to mow the lawns. I'll never buy another Toro product.
I purchased and used Toro mowers in the past and was looking forward to at least 5 years of usage of this current mower purchased thru Home Depot in April 2017. RIP December 2019. The #1 issue is with the self-propelled set up. I took the mower into an authorized service center and got an estimate: Rear wheel drive sprocket on both rear wheels worn out which caused the transmission gears to burn up due to play in the metal gears in the wheels. They are held in with rivets. The gears themselves are fine. Total cost to repair including new belt is $309.96. I declined the service, spent another $30.00 for the estimate.
I signed over this 2 yr old mower that I spent $ 399.00 plus tax to the service center for disposal. The technician showed me the wheels and the play in the gears. He showed me another wheel from another brand and how the rivets were twice as many and the gears were bigger with no play. My point is: this is a defect, which I have also found noticed by others from Google searches on my same Toro rear wheel drive mower.
Toro has to know about this, but either fails to notify its loyal customers of this issue or rather wants to continue making defective parts to increase sales: Do I hear planned obsolescence? I want you all to know the problem that I share is with Toro only. It would be nice if Toro would provide either a replacement or a discount off a future mower for all my time and aggravation. I do not expect this to happen. Because of this situation, I will purchase a self propelled mower in the spring from a different manufacturer. Warranty had expired. Stay away from this mower or be prepared for expensive temp repairs.
Bought my mower at Home Depot, it lasted one and a half summers on a half acre lawn, at the end of the summer it started to sound rough and the blade flew off. After being told where the authorized dealer/repair shop was I took it in and was told that the engine had locked up and it was the second of this model that this had happened to that season in his shop, it would cost the same price to replace the motor as to buy a new mower, so he said to throw it away and get a new one. Customer service gave me a lot of run around and tried to talk over me again and again when I called, then told me to take it to another repair shop two hours away for a second opinion so I can throw more money away on the bad mower, that isn't worth fixing apparently. I had a Husqvarna mower for fifteen years before this with no problems, on a much bigger, rougher property. I would never even consider buying anything from Toro again.
I bought a Toro AWD push mower 2 years ago. Just after the warranty expired the rear axle cracked and had to be replaced. Cost of repairs: $100.00 for parts. $200 for labor. A NEW ONE COSTS $400.00! I thought I was buying top quality.
I bought on one these this year June 08, 2019 because I owned a Toro Snow blower for years that I was happy with, I was replacing a 6.75 HP yard works machine that served me excellent and basically rusted out after about 12 years of great use. From the get go I realized the Toro 5.5 hp....had far less power than my old machine. When trying to mulch, it basically stalls out when the other never did. I even compared it to my sisters old standard sears that was far more capable. A short time later I noticed one of the blue handle knobs was breaking. Lastly, readying to put it away for the fall, I turn the unit over and there is a large piece broken off the hard/brittle plastic shroud underneath. This is unacceptable for a machine i Paid $655 for.Stay away!!!!
Bought a three thousand dollar Toro 1028 ohxe snowblower. Went to change the oil and the oil drain tube was not fully drilled through, so no oil could come out once the drain plug was removed. I must say, “that’s some serious quality issues“. Called the help desk and found out I have to spend $100.00 for a dealer to pick up and deliver the snowblower just to replace a $20.00 part. I live in Canada, the snow capital of the world! Hence my title to this rant! “What a joke.”
Ordered expensive Toro snow blower online. Outside box seemed ok. Did not open immediately because it was a gift. Upon opening it was extremely damaged. It would not sit flush on the ground, cover was unattached on one side and motor was also pushed to one side. The whole unit was out of kilter. Because the box was opened after 48 hours from receipt, the company will not help. What kind of service is that? I spent $800 on a totally unusable unit.
