So the call out fee 200.00 after hours.... (Well ok whatever. It was 7 pm Friday night). Then to snake two lines one 15 feet the other 25 feet charge was 650.00. Yes a toilet needed to be removed. "Total charge 850.00 and please sir please sign here...." At least they were upfront about it. I asked them to leave and they did.... This was maybe 60 to 90 minutes work with clean-up... Someone must pay these fees as somehow they are still operating. Second contractor was called and did the job in the estimated timeframe. 425.00. So I paid the guy and gave him 100 cash tip.... Gouging will not be tolerated....

Zach ** is the person to call...That's a fact. He obtained his Master Plumber certification (16,000 hours) years ago and his experience, knowledge and friendly demeanor is unmatched. He and his excellent crew (Noah and Shane) relocated the drain line and water supply in our master bath so that we could install a free standing jacuzzi tub and they did a top notch job. Nice to see that kind of talent available in Melbourne. Thanks Guys!

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Shoddy work... We had a dishwasher install, and 2 bath shower faucet replacements. The screws connecting the brand new dishwasher to the countertop stripped out day one... So now it comes right out of the cabinet opening. The upstairs tub faucet is loose and overturns - brand new from Lowe's. The downstairs faucet was installed OK, but they left a larger than before service hole in my drywall. They told my wife... "We don't do that and don't have a cover in the truck," she called me and I told her that there was shelf wood that they could use.... They put two screws in and it fell out two days later. I fixed that myself. I also put screws in the dishwasher bracket to keep it from coming out, but it was installed crooked to begin with, it seems to be working correctly, but time will tell. Don't let these folks near your plumbing.

I wrote a review and took it down after this company tried to fix the problem they created.. I was trying to be nice.. but after paying over 12 grand to have my orangeburg pipes all replaced in my house at their recommendation…and the plumber did great.. except he did not hook my kitchen pipes and plumbing back up… As you can imagine this has been a headache.. Their fix was a plastic pump outside my kitchen window.. Told me it would be fine and no problem…
I have had to call 3 times since with this pump having problems… I paid to have my plumbing fixed correctly.. and am still paying on the credit I had to take out to have this company fix this correctly… I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.. I should have and will be seeking legal advice… I did not pay for a pump to connect my kitchen to the rest of my plumbing… I paid to have it done correctly… This company has not fixed their plumber's mistake of not realizing I have a kitchen that needed to be connected to the rest of my plumbing… Selling my house will be an issue now due to the oversight of them not correcting her screw up. Please research your plumbers so you do not wind up in my position…

The guy charged me $397.87 to install a brand new bare basic Moen Adler 87605 Kitchen Faucet that I bought brand new the day before for $99.99 plus tax. All the existing plumbing was there and in good condition! Nothing else was replaced! $398.00 to install an already purchased $100.00 bare basic kitchen faucet! When I suggested that he super overcharged me, he offered to rip it out! I reluctantly paid and he left! NEVER AGAIN will I call Mr. ROOTER PLUMBING!

Mr. Rooter came out promptly and replaced 4 feet of leaking sewage pipe going toward our septic system. They did a good job in the replacement and squirted high pressure water to make sure the pipes were clear, but they left the old pipe with sewage in it down in the crawlspace and it cost us over $5000. We had another company come out for the cleanup of the pipes and the sewage that the plumbers left for another $1200.

I called Mr. Rooter with a kitchen drain that wasn’t working. The same day someone came and was here about 10-15 minutes for $95 and said he couldn’t get anything out and I needed camera guy for an extra $5 which I paid for. Camera guy came same day and was very nice and explained things well and drew up a plan. I received an estimate and agreed to it. The plumber, very pleasant, came a couple days later and didn’t do all that was in the contract but had the drain somewhat working but advised me to run lots of hot water and that he couldn’t really clean out the pipe well. This is the same pipe that he was supposed to replace.
At the time I paid the bill I did not realize he had not done all that was in the contract. He was also supposed to put on a gripper clean out plug which he did not do. Within 24 hours drain was not working. Office suggested camera guy come back a couple days later. Before he came I investigated and found that now clean out plug was installed so I knew camera guy couldn’t do anything and called to inform them but they sent him here anyway. He was very nice said, this was on them etc. After that I got a call from office saying the camera guy is not a plumber and the plumber said he did all he was supposed to do. The call was quite unpleasant. I told them he did not put in the clean out plug. She said she would call back. She did not call back and when I called back at the end of the day I was told they had scheduled the plumber to return on Thursday,
When does a company schedule your repair without checking with customer to make sure they are an available??.. and then that got postponed till Monday. He did return and replaced the pipe he was supposed to the first time but left without saying anything. He did not install the clean out plug. In the end this was a full two week ordeal without a kitchen drain and very expensive. My question is why did they use the camera guy to set the terms of repair for the contract and send him back to evaluate the situation…. only to tell me he doesn’t know plumbing …. which in my opinion he clearly did know plumbing and answered all my questions and was really trying to be helpful. I now understand why they are not backed by better business bureau. I looked that up after the fact. Lesson learned there. I also looked up signs of a scam. There are some red flags here.

There is a reason they offer the cheapest clean-out around - they are not there to clean out your drains. They are there to upsell you a service. The first time they told us the line to the street needed to be replaced… $6,000. The next time it backed up (after we paid the $6,000), they told us the problem was a y junction installed backwards and wanted $550.00 to turn it around.
When it backed up again 6 days later the company scheduled an appointment for the next day in the afternoon and then called at the start of the window for them to arrive to say they would not come out again unless we agreed to pay them to change the y connection - leaving us with no working plumbing in the house on a Sunday afternoon. A local company came out the next day and fixed everything for $100 less than the Mr. Rooter quote.

We had service in July and needed the same service again for the same problem. When I called the receptionist she said to just talk to them when they come out and they can probably discount it. That's exactly what I did and they said that they cannot. We went ahead and went with them anyway, because we needed the problem to be fixed.
When he was done, he said he tested out the washer to make sure it didn't leak, and then he said it looks good and left. I went back and It flooded everywhere. I caught him right before he left for him to come back in only to find that he forgot to put the tubes back in the wall. How did he check it then? After all that we're still having problems again. I called another service company. They came out and fixed it right away with a 3 month warranty! They said that the other people did not have a long enough snake. I then tried calling a couple of times to talk to a manager at Mr. Rooter and they keep telling me that they are in a meeting for 2 weeks. I've left my number, no call back. This is the worst company I've ever had to deal with!

Their prices are unbelievably ridiculous. Had to shut off valves installed which would cost $20 at tops at the store very easily installed and a pressure gauge $995. My problem that I called for still is not fixed because there are two parts to my bathtub handles that cannot be found so it's tore apart still.

I contacted Mr Rooter due to water leaking on my kitchen and bathroom floors. I explained the issue to Alex when he came out that there was no consistent patterns for the leaking. I would not have any leaks for a week and then several days in a row. I explained the leaking was not correlated to my use of dishwasher/washing machine/shower/sinks etc. Hydro scrub was done/visual inspection with camera, and Alex said my sewer pipes were corroded and leaking with large holes and that was the source of the water. I was quoted $8000. He guaranteed I would no longer have water on my floors. I had to open up a charge account and finance the repair. Then he tells me there is more damage than what he saw and that a larger portion of the pipes needed to be replaced. and said it would be $14000.
He called and got a larger credit line. He then told me the total was $29000 but Synchrony would only approve $14000 so they were going to do it for that price. So I said OK. Then he tells me it's not $14000 total, but in addition to the $8000 I already paid. Making it almost $23000 to replace 20ft of pipe. I really had no choice at this point...I had water on my floors, and he already had a tunnel dug halfway under my house. Would not make any sense to replace part of a leaking pipe. It took them almost a month to do the repair. They showed up whenever they wanted, would work some days only 2 hours, and some days work till after midnight and were making my neighbors angry. So they finally finish the job, and I still have water on my kitchen floor. I called Alex. He came back out and said he ran every test he could and it's not a plumbing issue. So now I'm $23000 in debt.
The credit card bill came in before they were even finished with the job and the minimum payment is $540/mo. Not only did they not fix the problem I originally called them for, but I have no money to fix the issue. I have stinky water all over my kitchen floor. I contacted the local office via their website and explained this and they have not responded. Update: After sending the above email I got a call and they sent a different technician out. He was here for 2 1/2 hours and said he thinks a pipe is leaking in the wall behind my dishwasher and it would be an additional $2000 to fix and he could not guarantee that was the problem. I told him they should fix it without additional charge since this is the original issue I called them for and was guaranteed there would be no more water on my floor. The tech said they had to charge me and that nowhere else would be cheaper. Tried to bully me into paying upfront.
When I refused he asked me why and would not stop pressuring me. He said he can't schedule the work unless I pay upfront. I said no. He then tried to get me to pay half and I said no. He kept on questioning me as to why I will not do it. I had to get nasty with him and tell him to drop it. I told him to schedule it for a week out and he asked why I won't do it sooner. I told him I had other things going on. He said you don't have to be home just leave back door unlocked. I said no. He asked over and over why I would not schedule it sooner to the point I had to be rude. I called another plumber and they came out the same day and replaced the leaking pipe and solved the issue in 2 hours for $486. NEVER call Mr Rooter...they are salesmen first, not plumbers. And they will never give you a written estimate, and I had to ask several times for an invoice. They make you sign electronically and you never get to see what you're signing or have a copy.

I never had problems with the drain pipes in my house before, so I didn't know who to turn to until I decided to trust Mr. Rooter. They have visited my premises 4 times, the problem still persists and is not completely solved. The drain in my house continues to overflow occasionally, despite having paid almost $500 for these services, then I am told that to completely fix my problem I must pay another service that costs $800-$1300. I feel like I'm in a trap. It is much more complicated when Mr. Rooter has not included Spanish-speaking staff on its payroll, with whom I can more reasonably see my options as a client. At this point I'm no longer sure I've put my home's plumbing in good hands. I just wish my problem was solved the first time. All this time has only caused me more stress. I must to add the unprofessional customer service they had in Bunnell, Palm Coast.

I had a simple leak in exposed PVC sink drain fitting, in the basement. Plumber quoted a price that seemed too high. He said other plumbers would charge more, and having no experience with plumbers I took his word for it. Actual work on the leak took a total of 30min + his running to the store for parts. I was charged $618. I called and talked to a manager. I was told that the corporation determines the cost, and does not consider the scope of the needed repair. I was told it is a large company with a lot of overhead. Therefore, with Mr Plumber, the customer is not the important part of the equation. But, everyone, no matter how simple the repair, has to contribute to the bloated overhead of the company. The work, itself was good, but value and customer service left much to be desired. I even had a flood light, lighting up the work area and let him use my step ladder.

Do not hire this company! Back in February, I had them replace a section of pipe under my driveway. When they were done and had filled the hole back up, I noticed a long plastic pipe sticking out of the ground. I asked them what it was and they said it was "probably an old sprinkler line". Yesterday I went to turn my sprinklers on and water came rushing up from under the ground where they had dug. They had intentionally cut my sprinkler line and didn't bother to ask me what it was before they cut it or even inform me that it had been cut. What kind of professional plumber just randomly cuts pipes without knowing, or caring what it was or taking the time to inform the homeowner?
If I would have been notified before they cut it, or even before they filled the hole, I could have either told them it was the existing sprinkler line or had an opportunity to have it repaired before they filled the hole. Now I have to dig back down and find the pipe to repair it. Luckily, I haven't had the concrete poured back over where they cut out my driveway yet! All of this could have been avoided by someone from Mr. Rooter taking 30 seconds to have conversation with me.
I called and spoke to, Justin, the person I had been working with on this job and his response was "I apologize for that but we will just cut through anything in our way. Sorry, but we don't repair sprinkler systems." I get that they have to gain access to where the repair needs to be made but that doesn't give them the right to destroy someone's property with total disregard. Be warned!

On 5/14/24 one of your technicians attended a service call to my property (Contract/Retail Installment **). The reason for the service call was a hairline fracture on the water tank of my toilet. (I did not need help to diagnose the problem, however as part of the insurance claim process I had to schedule the call). Your technician wrote in the report: "tank has a crack from base to lid, customer claims came back home to find leaks". He told me to my face that he uploaded the report with the language I just described because he was being honest and unbiased of the process. Of course you are welcome to verify the information on the ticket number. Today I was notified that AHS denied my claim because the technician added the following information: "Not normal wear and tear, this ins not a common failure to happen"
At best the technician could have been upfront about his assessment and clear on the communication. At worst I question his integrity and ability to being honest with me. Needless to say in the future I will hesitate to do any further business with you. If the employee's behavior and communication does not align with your company policies and procedures I hope my feedback can help correct the situation. I proceeded to pay for the repair. The lack of integrity from the plumber denied my claim with AHS, it is easy to understand why since the plumbing company makes more money from the individual consumers. You be the judge…

So my personal experience as a single mom with no job due to a disability and little money is this, I hired Mr Rooter services. 1 because I thought it was owned by ** people whom like to do everything by the book, WRONG!!! It is owned by a ** guy named Jose ** who likes to hire a bunch of ** to do the work cheap and hike up the prices. 2. I wanted a professional work done right, not a lazy work done. They don't even want to bother to do it right all on the sidelines. I'm not even sure that is approved by the city, so when you call them because you have an urgent matter they are all very sweet and super nice from the phone receptionist to the last guy that you meet but after the job is done they leave you all on your own with issues that come up.
They don't pick the phone anymore or come by and charge you insane prices that no normal citizen can afford. They scare you into signing right away saying it is the worst case scenario and you fall for that, me being poor and with no means they deceive and be leading you into their trap saying they have companies that can make a loan and help you out but this loans are for thousands of dollars for simple repairs. My first job I had to hire them for was gas leak. First they say they will do anything and lead you on.
Later on, they change what they promised first and do the lazy way around it, claiming if you want it done properly it will cost you way more so you have to agree, forced for repairing instead of just looking for the leak and fix it. They charged me over 10k with a loan company, whom I'm sure they are also scamming, you would think I learned my lesson.
Since my house is very old, the water pipes went next so when I couldn't find anyone decent I had to go back to the permit for stealing freely indecent Mr Rooter again, they do come super fast the first time because they want to stick it to you for the highest price you can afford for the water, it was another loan they forced me into of 25k no shame. Also claiming they will replace the old pipes with new but at the end, they went the lazy way around and did their own way without saying nothing or explain and asking I was ok with that all they say to you, "If you complaint is if we do it that way, it's gonna cost you way more so what do you want?"
When I learned they made 2 invoices I complaint. If they never did the first one why are they charging me for a job they never did and they said I was not getting a refund, they don't give refunds and you are practically stuck with whatever they make you sign, pay and did the owner doesn't know how to run a respectable company. He is only out to scam good people and they make promises, they don't deliver, they have no word. I think I'm better off with Home Depot ** outside.

Do NOT hire Mr. Rooter for any plumbing work. We hired Mr Rooter to winterize our outdoor faucets to prevent them from freezing. They came out in November 02, 2023 to replace the 2 faucets which they charged almost 1800 for plumbing work. We were given a 30 day warranty. In middle of January we a freeze. Those pipes that supposedly had winterized froze. (We took all precautions prior to the freeze. We wrapped the pipes with a termal bag that you buy at Home Depot and we also put a faucet cover and tapped that faucet cover to the wall and they still froze)
Since it was out of warranty we did not call in January, which looking we should have. Then in March I installed a rainbird timer to the faucet to turn on a soaker hose. (This the first time since November we used the faucet.) Within a minute water shot out between the wall and faucet. At that I called Mr. Rooter, it took 3 weeks of us calling multiple times for them to send someone out. I told that we had the faucets replaced and they still froze. Showed him the covers we used which still had the tape on. Told him we had not used this faucet since the work was done. (We had no need to use that faucet). He said what probably happened is that the pipe froze. Which is what we paid them for it not to happen and since it's past the 30 day warranty they wanted 800 dollars to fix it.
The technician also said the guy who did the work no longer work with them. He made sound like he did not know what he was doing. So to fix an issue they created they want 800 dollars to fix their mistake. DO NOT HIRE MR ROOTER BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!

Yes, you can get much cheaper quotes from other companies. You can also get higher quotes. There are probably more lower quotes than higher quotes. I would say Mr. Rooter is at the low end of the high end as far as cost. But ask yourself this, if you choose another company, especially for an emergency like I had---total backup sewer pipe clog (and pipe collapse, as I later learned). Will they show up at your house 20 minutes after you make the phone call? Will they send just one guy or will they send as many as they need to make a diagnosis (e.g. with cameras and so on)? If someone can't do something or doesn't have the right equipment, will he call in someone who does, someone who shows up right away? Will they spend half a day making the diagnosis and not charge you for that if you go with them for the repairs?
Will they charge you for the actual job needed and quoted and not increase the charge as they go along? And NOT charge you by the hour? Might they even REDUCE the quoted charge by a few thousand even after you've signed? Will they handle every permit needed and schedule city inspections so you won't have to? Will they send as many as SIX OR SEVEN PEOPLE at a time as needed to complete the overall work in a timely manner so that you won't have to hang around on your own for days wondering what's happening? Will this crew be pleasant to have around the house? Will they stay in touch with you continuously to inform as to where they are in the overall job, what they will be doing the next day, what time they will show up the next day, and who will be showing up?
Might they even do other small plumbing jobs while they're at your house and NOT CHARGE YOU FOR IT? (I had two toilet faucets replaced; parts and labor waived.) Might you get a "plumber" who also knows landscaping and can re-set your patio or garden after trenching...AND NOT CHARGE YOU FOR IT? Will you get a 10 year warranty on the work performed? Will the company headquarters work diligently with you on the phone if something weird happens with your credit card? Even if it doesn't affect them?
These are all possibilities. I may have been lucky with Mr. Rooter or happened to have drawn the right people, but these are a lot of pluses to write off as dumb luck. I suspect it's how they do business. There was literally no unpleasantness along the way, and there was some good conversation. I like the way the company replies to some of the complaints, especially those mad about costs, which basically goes: "If you can get the same quality of work for half the price, way to go." I would add: Way to go!

Hired a plumber who charged $350 to replace a mere $20 part in my toilet, only for it to continue leaking, leading to 10,000 cubic feet of wasted water. When I sought a refund, manager Karla's response was shockingly unprofessional and unsympathetic. She stubbornly refused a full refund, unjustly demanding I give them another chance, despite no legal obligation on my part to do so after their significant failure. The only positive was the technician's friendliness despite of the error, but Karla's behavior was downright unacceptable, revealing the company's scam-like tactics.
They grossly overcharge for basic tasks and fail to properly admit their mistakes and move on. I urge others to steer clear and seek out a reputable plumbing service that values customer satisfaction and delivers competent work. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. No legal requirement exists for a second chance after a failed first service. I paid for a one-time job, not two. A refund is only justified if the agreed service was not delivered.
