Back in March I use their product for the first time after unboxing it having bought it several months prior in preparation for my aging dog. When I did finally use it, it damaged my carpet and immediately I reached out to them and tried to figure out if it was something that I had done wrong or anything like that and they decided to open a claim without my request or acknowledgment. After doing this it made it so that I couldn't file a homeowner's claim for the carpets that were damaged or even a warranty claim through the carpet company. I proceeded to keep working with them and despite them requesting that I make time for them to call me. They never did make the phone calls and then after getting transferred several times to different people because supposedly they kept asking to let the person go.
I finally got someone that did absolutely nothing but drag his feet and make excuses and ridiculous offers. After a month of them not doing anything and me having to eventually let them know I was going to replace the carpet because it was in my office and it impacted my business as customers obviously could see the giant stain and they acknowledged it but afterwards then tried to say that I did not give them appropriate time and they wanted me to look into redying the carpet. I did so post facto and it would have been just as expensive to do that as it was to replace the carpet and there is only one guy in my area that does it and he even said that he probably couldn't have matched my carpet due to the complexity of the colors.
After sending all of this into their customer service, they refused to acknowledge it and continued to make offers to refund me for the damages at less than 20% of the cost. Furthermore, keep mind, I had already had to send in my machine and then they waited until 2 months in to request the formulas expecting me to just keep it and then when I inform them that I have thrown it out they made it out like it was my fault and when I even made the valid point that the label they had sent me to send in my machine did not include any liquids to be sent.
They refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing and continued to put it off on me. And then when I did get my machine back I proceeded to videotape me unboxing it and using it on a test fabric at which time it spout water out of its electrical sockets. And when I let them know that this was a thing and I attempted to send them the video. They not only didn't want it. They just acknowledged the fact that this happened sometimes and they put the machines together wrong but that doesn't allow them to accept any responsibility or culpability towards the damages of carpets because there's no way that they could put together a machine that could damage something even though shooting water out of electric sockets is completely.
After months of robotic responses, I finally got the Better Business Bureau involved and they have continued to do the exact same thing where they just continuously request the same receipts and the same statements. Even though everything's been provided, I would not do business with these guys. If someone told me this was the only company to clean my carpets, I would go out and get a scrub brush and do it myself.

I bought a vacuum from Walmart less than a month ago. The belt broke on it already. I went to Bissell to order a new belt for that specific vacuum, you can't order one. So I've called three days in a row and it says to press a button to "hold your spot in line and someone will call you back". That was three days in a row I did that and have not received a call back. I decided to wait on hold and it's now been 52 minutes. They're a vacuum company, no WAY ARE THEY THAT BUSY!. Insurance companies answer quicker than they do. I'm not even asking for a new vacuum, just an $8 part that I was WILLING to pay for myself, but you can't get anywhere. So now I'm going to see if Walmart will exchange the vacuum. Worst customer service experience EVER!!!! Probably will never buy Bissell again after this one.

Stay away from Bissell. Their steam cleaners and vacuums last about a month!!!! And company wants you to pay for repairs. Stay away if you know what's good and what's not. Their customer service is a complete farse. Check dates on their product also before you buy it. Most of it is old stock being sold by Walmart mostly.

If you use PayPal to pay in the BISSELL website, it will not give you the chance to review the order and will automatically process the purchase. BISSELL did not send any email with the transaction or gave an order number/ID. I contacted them within 30 minutes through their web texting service asking for cancellation. They cancelled but did not refund me. Contacted them again, said it will take two weeks to process my claim. I contacted PayPal. They have a bizarre form in which you have to enter each item cost, does not account for taxes. Total added up to full purchase. However, they ended up sending claim for an arbitrary amount lower than the purchase I made, so BISSELL declined the refund. PayPal closed the case and now they tell me to take it up with my bank…? Ridiculous. Stay away from them.

I purchased my 3rd Bissell product, the Crosswave Cordless Max, after being happy with the previous versions. After only 10 months of use, I've been told by customer service that the sensors in the dirty water tank go bad. They are replacing the portion of the unit that is now not working, but I have little hope that this new part will last any longer than the current one. My previous purchases lasted 2+ years before I decided to upgrade, only because a newer model came out. Unless they present a better design of these sensors, I won't be purchasing again.

I think mine may be defective. It doesn’t clean the way videos shows it does. This cost entirely too much to not stand up to the hype the company set it out to be. Definitely disappointed. Hardly any water & cleaner come out. Though it does get up what comes out. Could because it hardly comes out. Hey Bissell can I get a replacement??? Only had it for 3 months.

I bought the CrossWave back in 2017 and fell in love! I was cleaning houses at the time and wow, what a great product! I had to retire it after 3 years 5 days a week of using it as I wore it out! It was brutal not having one. In 2020 we become dog parents and so I bought the CrossWave Pet Pro. I had it 4 months and it stopped working. I called Bissell (I purchased directly from them) and they didn’t waste ONE second. They asked me to email a picture of the product plaque behind the water tank and then they would get back to me within 24 hours. They did exactly that! They apologized for the inconvenience and overnighted me a brand new CrossWave Pet Pro. I am elated! I am so impressed with the customer service! GO BISSELL!

Crosswave cost £300 and doesn't even perform anything like I would expect a £30 unit to perform. Leaves the floor filthy! Customer care is even worse, very poor! Very arrogant people! I am currently seeking legal advice to try and get a refund. Don't go near these people!

DO NOT BUY IT!!!! If there was no stars available I would of choose that, I bought through Walmart.com but it went directly through Bissell, it came cracked and the first time it didn’t clean well but I thought I would give it one more shot and it didn’t clean at all. I went over the area with a wet paper-towel after and it was all brown so I had to re mop the old school way.
I contacted Walmart to return because I was not aware that the purchase went through another seller, they told me that I needed to go through Bissell directly, I did and I was told that because it was past the 30 days they would NOT give me a refund!! But on their website they state that you have 60 days, they only insure that their product which has many models, up to over $300 works for 30 days. They said, "Oh I’m sorry. It's been over the 30 days." Customer service HORRIBLE and the product is trash, you are better off mopping the old way. I will be writing reviews everywhere and anywhere. Please save your money and if you want a product rather is like it but actually cleans, there are more out there.

I purchased this machine on 9/12/20. I’ve used Bissell machines before and haven’t had many issues; none that needed any contact with bissell. I most recently used the Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution. Due to the type of carpeting my home has, I decided this time to use the pet pro heat, which worked very well, until it began to overheat and went on to begin smoking from the motor. I checked the belt, it’s fine, the spindle that drives the belt does not spin. The machine also is not dispensing water. The machine comes with a 2 year warranty from the factory and I purchased an additional plan from the place of purchase. I contacted the place of purchase. I was informed that because of the manufacturer's warranty, I first need to contact Bissell.
I contacted Bissell, the woman I spoke with “Chelsea” was kind and asked to go through a ‘diagnostic’ procedure. We went through the procedure, the machine only became worse. I’ve only had this machine for a few weeks now and it’s already not working. She explained the machine needs to be sent in for ‘diagnostics’. I have a family of 2 young children and 3 dogs; we need a carpet cleaner on a regular basis. She just replied, "It needs to be sent in for diagnostics."
Considering I’ve only had the machine for a few weeks; I’ve been a “Bissell loyalist”; and, I need a carpet cleaner on a regular basis, someone would think they would send a new one or give the means of attaining a new one fairly quickly, but no such offer was given. I asked kindly to speak with a manager/supervisor. Despite 3 attempts, Chelsea was not able to put one on the phone. There was much laughter in the background and no help given. As I do believe the Chelsea has done all that she can, I hope she does well. However, the person in-charge of that facility clearly does not care for the customers in need.
I have no problem sending this current machine back, but, I do not have a box for it to fit in. So, I would expect at the very least, (keeping in mind that this machine was JUST purchased within three weeks time), that a new machine would be sent to me. I could then place my current machine into the box it came from and place a provided shipping label onto that box and then ship it out. I’m not asking for a lot, and I think I’ve been very compliant and nice to Chelsea. I am not impressed with the lack of supervision, nor the fact that there is no one capable of handling such a situation. All I want is a machine to clean my carpets and rugs.

Ordered an upright vacuum online for my apartment. It literally stopped working 5 minutes after it was delivered, trying out on my wood floors (electrical smoke came out of it). My experience has been disappointing, frustrating and altogether absent where any customer service is concerned. I received the unit, plugged it in and found, to my extreme annoyance, that I couldn't switch between the area rug and hard floor settings, nor could I turn it off so I had unplug it while it was running! I'm addition the lights for water indication did not go on because no water was coming out!!!! I followed the instructions in the user guide and on Bissell's website video and still nothing!!!! In attempting to return the Crosswave Petrol I have spent the first half of the day on hold to Bissell with no answer and the rest of the day on hold with FedEx, again no answer. At present I have no way to return these Bissell items unless I'm willing to spend an insane amount of money to pay the return shipping myself!!!! Which I am not going to do.

Bought this vacuum in January 2020. It stopped working in April. Too late to return to Walmart but under a 2yr warranty, supposedly. There is no authorized dealer in my state. No email support exists (using COVID as excuse) and warning ls about extremely long wait times on phone as well as these reviews has kept me from calling thus far. Motor burned up in less that 3 months? Don't buy anything Bissell.

Bought a brand new vacuum cleaner and three extra bags for it. The items arrive separately. When I receive the vacuum cleaner it was VISIBLY used as there was damage, scratches, and even dirt on the wheels and hose. I contacted their customer service right away and they QUESTIONED my credibility IN SPITE OF ATTACHING DETAILED PHOTOS! Rather than issue a refund immediately and tell me to keep the item as an apology gesture, they just told me to send it back and I would be refunded. I sent both the vacuum cleaner and the extra bags in the same box, so the refund could be processed all at once.
I get a refund after weeks and it is only for the vacuum! Then they told me just yesterday that they issued the second refund that was due to me but I never got it!! And on top of it it was incorrect!! Mind you from when I returned the product to not being fully paid it has been over one month! BISSELL IS BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN TERMS OF PRODUCT QUALITY AND SERVICE AND REFUND PROCESS! It is obvious they purposely rip off their customers, I am proof of it!

Got the Bissell Proheat carpet cleaner on Dec. 23, 2019 at Walmart. Used it for the first time this morning (1/6/2020). After cleaning a 20 x 10 ft area of my living room (about half of my living room) and filling the bladder tank up 3 times, the suctioning just stopped. Half of the living room is a wet mess. Even when it suctioned for about 10 minutes, the suction was so weak it would pull much water back into the bladder dirty water system. Please do not buy this piece of weak junk. I am practically in tears. My living room carpet is soggy, dirty and I have company coming tomorrow. I will have to go rent a cleaner. I just hope my floor beneath the carpet does not swell up and be permanently damaged from the water that is still just sitting there. Again, this is a piece of JUNK and Bissell should be embarrassed to sell this piece of junk that rates a big 0 or negative 1000!!!

I paid $200 for this crap. The steamer stopped working after about 4 months. I called Bissell, as it was still under warranty, who told me to call Amazon, as that is where I purchased it, and then offered a discount on a new machine or I could take it to an "authorized repair" shop. Where, I asked, should I take it? Florida?!?! I live in Texas. When I told them my paperwork stated to call Bissell, I was also told I could buy the parts and fix it myself!!! What dandy customer service! I will NEVER EVER buy another Bissell product as long as I live and that's too bad, because when it worked, I loved it.

Bissell's Executive Team has no idea how bad customer care is at the company. An authorized service tech took my vacuum for repair, failed to fix it, and then refused to give it back. Customer Care couldn't care less. This is a "no brainer": your employee stole my merchandise, and as the company who authorized and pays him you need to get it back, or maybe I need to have him arrested for larceny. That would make a good headline. Get it back or give me a new one, I don't care so long as you do the right thing and make me whole.
This tech, again, at one of Bissell's "authorized" service stations stole my Air Ram, a $200 machine and management looked the other way. "We need the serial number, it's on the machine." "Yes but he won't return the vacuum how do I give you the number?!" Crickets... I plan on calling the President of the company on Monday. It's rare that you see such blatantly bad customer service and I think he deserves to know about it. Consumer Care agent Ellen has been next to useless. She answered my first email and then stopped responding altogether.

This would have been my third time using my carpet cleaner until it caught fire. I was 3/4 of the way finished with steam cleaning my living room carpet when I smelt a terrible odor. I shut off the vacuum and instantly noticed white smoke billowing out from the bottom and the sides. About 30 seconds later I could see fire from the side of the vacuum. I poured water on it to extinguish the small fire. I called Bissell and was greeted by a lady that literally could care less about my situation. She offered me a small discount to buy a new Bissell vacuum. I will never purchase a Bissell again. Buyers beware.

I had the Crosswave for 3 months. First couple of times it worked okay, have to unclog it constantly though. Then it just started stopping after running for 10 seconds. Called customer service and did troubleshooting to no avail. Then they gave the address of the nearest repair centre 1 hour drive away. Drove there and they tore a strip off my husband because they said there is no receipt and we will be charged for it. I have my bank statement with the amount, but not good enough. I purchased the Bissell steam mop in January 2018. I am disabled and have a terrible time mopping floors. This mop has been the greatest one ever. Lightweight, easy to use, cleans well. Do not have to break my back mopping and hurt for days. If you have a bad dry spot you simply hold it on top for a moment and maybe go over it a few times and it will come up without scrubbing. It's Oct 2018 now and the other day it just went dead. No power. I was disappointed at first but I am VERY excited to say that within a day of contacting customer service I have a new one on its way. All it took was explaining the issue and taking a few pictures. I paid close to $100 for it and it's been worth every penny. Most impressive was the customer service and how they stand behind their products. I highly recommend this mop especially if you have some physical disability that make mopping unbearable!

I purchased the Crosswave in April, worked well until July. Keeps shorting so we checked Bissell for troubleshooting. After my husband spent 2 hours taking the machine apart and picking out hair from one of the rollers it worked for about 10 seconds, shorted again. I had it! I called and was told no refund, excuse me? $250 for a machine to work for 3.5 months... um, no! (I am boxing it and shipping it back and better receive a refund). After 13 minutes on hold the rep got back to me and said to ship it back and they will refund. I am not holding my breath, but will not stand for paying $250 for a hunk of junk. He kept saying, "I am sorry". Sorry does not cut it, I want my hard earned money back. I am curious if Kathy Bissell knows or cares that the product I received stopped working and that the customer service is equipped by workers who barely speak English. Extremely frustrating that I have to waste my time and energy on this.
