I contracted with 24/7 Logistic Services for an interstate household move under Order #**. The sales representative quoted a total price of $1,960.01 and assured me that the price was locked in and would not change. Based on this representation, I selected this company over other movers offering similar pricing. Several aspects of the move and the claim determination raise serious concerns including what is now looking like a "bait and switch" experience with the sales person.

We were promised things that were not delivered starting with the original quote provided for this move was $1,960.01 and I was specifically assured that this price was locked in. Upon delivery, however, the total charges increased to $2,721.81. When this discrepancy was questioned, I was informed that my household goods would remain on the truck and incur storage fees unless the full amount was paid immediately. Circumstances such as these raise serious concerns consistent with a “hostage load” situation.

Also, the original quote I was given was in the form of a link which disappeared within 24 hours. I tried to have it emailed to me but never received a reply. I always opt in for insurance when we move and I was told that the insurance was $.60 on the $1, not $.60/pound! I would have opted in for higher coverage service if that was the case. We were also promised a TV box and Mattress cover. Those were NOT delivered and were the reason why two of our highest valued items, equaling more than $5,000 to replace were so heavily damaged.

During the unloading process, the conduct of the crew was concerning. The individual supervising the move spent a significant portion of the time engaged in personal phone conversations, while the other crew member appeared very impaired and struggled to safely handle household goods and directions. Several cartons clearly marked “Fragile” were stacked beneath heavy boxes and were delivered crushed.

As a result, multiple household goods were damaged, including a television, king mattress, and fragile items packed in cartons. Additionally, a Klipsch Cinema 600 sound bar that was packed for the move was not delivered. Because it was inside a carton, the missing item could not reasonably have been discovered until after unpacking.

The total value of the damaged and missing items exceeds $7,000. The claim submitted through the carrier’s third-party claims administrator, Claims Service International (CSI), resulted in a settlement recommendation of approximately $75 under released value protection of $0.60 per pound per article. (24-7 offered a much lower amount than the claims adjuster recommended- by close to $1000). I am submitting this complaint because of the significant discrepancy between the original quote and final charges, the pressure to pay before delivery of my goods, the requirement to sign paperwork prior to inspection, and the mishandling of household goods during the move.

It’s been almost one year, but I’ve been wanting to write a review about my experience with 24/7 Logistic Services. So many things are still clear in my mind. Chris initially contacted me and gave me a quote that was $1000 under what my other preferred company was planning to charge. He was super nice at this part of the sale.I let him know several times that everything wasn’t boxed up so even the virtual walk-through wouldn’t be the same as it would be closer to the move date in two months. He said that wasn’t an issue at all because they go by cubic feet versus number of boxes. Chris told me that as long as I didn’t buy anything new to add to my shipment the price shouldn’t change. He also confirmed that everything loaded on the truck would stay on the truck and just be driven to the next destination.

Fast forward to the week before I’m moving and Lisa reaches out to do another walk-through. This time she counts more boxes (obviously because I hadn’t boxed items up before then) and says it will be $1000 more. I had not gotten any new items and had actually sold a few small pieces of furniture. Had I known there would be an increase, I would’ve gone with the company I used before several times that gave me one price and never changed it. But I was stuck now because I had already paid a deposit. Lisa told me that the price could increase further if the move crew came and the Foreman’s inventory showed I had more items.

At this point, Chris would not even take my calls and Lisa dismissed my concerns. Then I kept getting the runaround about the day that they were coming and how it could be delayed a day. One thing that the moving crew told me that was that my items might get moved to another truck and could be delayed a bit before getting to me. This was another lie that had been told to me that my items would not be moved to another truck. Anyway, the items did end up arriving four days later.

I will say the moving crew was very nice and really fast with packing everything up and unpacking. There was only one crewmember that unloaded a lot of heavy boxes down in the basement that were meant to be upstairs. Not a huge deal but I had to haul them up several steps on my own. I would give the crew 3 1/2 to 4 stars. I did give them all tips on both ends. It was the administration that I don’t know that I would give more than 1 star to. Although they didn’t unload my items onto another truck, I still have not found some clothing that I know was packed up. Not sure if a tote or a box got left on the truck when they left. I would not use this company again because of the dishonest practice.

I contracted with logistics to move from Florida to New England. The initial quote was reasonable. However, once the Packers got there three hours late, they told me that it was going to cost them more to pack than estimated. They themselves were very nice and moved very quickly through the house. They left in the wee hours of the morning. There was no way I could have observed all the boxes were packed at the time they were packing. I had two men working quickly at both ends of the house.

The people who delivered my furniture and boxes were very rude. They argued with each other in front of my House of, who should be in charge. They took the Lord’s Name in vain. When I asked them to move a box to a different place. They told me that I have a son who should do it. My son happens to be mentally ill and was overwhelmed with the whole situation. All he could do is lay in bed.

These guys moved so quickly there was no way that I could unpack the boxes while they were still there. They were in a big hurry to get out. They damaged my hardwood floors moving. When I started unpacked boxes, I realized the boxes were grossly under packed. . I was missing many items. Also my $6K new bedroom set was damaged with a big hole in the back of two pieces.

When I went to make claims through CSI, the process took almost a year to complete. The final settlement was $136. There was no recompense for under packed boxes of which there were many. They did not pay for missing goods or grossly damaged tea cart that was a gift from my deceased parents. The insurance only paid by weight. There was no recompense for the lost items. Logistics caused over $1000 worth of damage, not to mention the emotional distress caused by the attitudes of the men who dropped off my furniture. Buyer beware!!!! Make sure to check out the insurance coverage and buy extra insurance if you might need it. Their policies and documents gave absolutely no recourse to the consumer. I would never use them again.

STOP. STOP. STOP... YOU BE THE JUDGE.. I WOULD NEVER USE 247 LOGISTICS AGAIN.. Moving from Washington State to South Carolina. I was in the process of vetting different moving companies and very Leery of the reputation of moving companies. As I had used the internet to research, Chris ** with 247 contacted us. Chris was very personable and seemed to answer all the questions, even giving me the information to check with DOT on all the companies. Chris was more than helpful, we did a virtual walk through and an itemized list of all items with exact measurements of all boxes, totes, furniture and miscellaneous items to be shipped, and again, Chris gave me all the reasons and whys to go with his company.

Several times I had backed out and Chris used all the tactics to bring me back around to go with his company. I was quoted a binding estimate at 1600CF with a discounted price of $10,800. I agreed and paid a deposit of $2865. Several weeks later, I got a call from Phil Rogers, and we do another virtual walk through of all items and he gave me a quoted price of 1742 CF with the discounted price of $12509.38 and he asked me to pay and additional $731 for the deposit. Should have been my first clue that something isn't right.

I called Chris to discuss and he said he thought Phil's quote was wrong and that it would be worked out on the final billing. I told Chris that with Phil's estimate, we were going to eliminate more items to make sure we within the initial quote. We eliminate Bedroom set that included (2 end tables, tall dresser and long dresser with mirror), Patio Table and 4 chairs, 4 burner BBQ set, wheelbarrow and several other items. Chris came back and verbally told me that to be on the safe side, stay with Phil's quote, but with the reduction of items, we should be at the original price of $10,800. Now this is where it gets interesting.

We had to give a 2 day window for pick up and time - so we gave the 21st and 22nd of Nov start time 8 am. This is important, because we needed to be out of our house on the 23rd. I think this is by design, because they did not show up until the 22nd at 3:00pm. They did a walk through and gave me price of $19,500 - yes, you are reading that right $19,500 an increase of almost double the original price. WOW - I told them no way, I am not going to pay that price, So, the standoff begins - going back and forth through their guy that doesn't speak good English and he is dealing with their office and then trying to negotiate with me. I call Chris and his response is why is it so much. You are asking me, it was your bid and supposedly your guy.

Long story short, after 3 hours, we came to an agreement that we would load the truck and base price off of CF as I am on a time crunch. They bring 2 trucks, again, by design, as the truck they start loading has suppliers in it that takes up CF space. They start loading the truck with supplies in it and I take a photo as I know that it will be questionable on CF space. Because of the dispute and time, they did not start loading the trucks until about 6 pm. I was not aware that they would stop working about 8:30 pm.

At around 7:30pm, my wife says we should probably buy them some pizza as it was getting late and they night be hungry, so we ordered pizza and it was delivered around 8, so they took the pizza and said see you tomorrow. What, you are just leaving with half the stuff loaded. Yep, see you tomorrow. I said what time tomorrow as I need to be out by 9:00 am. They showed up around 10:15 am-which was a real challenge for us. We had to make several phone calls to get an extension of time. They loaded the first truck, not utilizing all of the head room CF, but spread the boxes out to use all of the floor space CF so they had to put some items in the second truck.

When they were done, another standoff, because I would not sign the bill of lading as they came in with a price of $17+. Again, negotiating with language barrier and 2 hour standoff, they came in with a price of $15,275.30. PLUS, the lead guy ASKED, ASKED for a large TIP. I gave him all the cash I had in my wallet at the time which was $60. I tried contacting Chris Drake and couldn't get through, so I text him with all my concerns, his response "From this point forward, all communication regarding your file will go through the appropriate department. Please refrain from contacting me directly", really, you said you were my point person and would handle any issues that come up. Great lip service Chris.

Since I did not have much leverage and they were holding all the cards due to timing, I was on the hook for their increase in cost. They played it very well. During the move, they lost several boxes which contained 265-piece tool set. But we did end up with someone's brand new set of American Tourister luggage. I called 247 that we had it - have not heard back from them. So someone is out their luggage. SO YOU BE THE JUDGE - if I ever hear of 247 again, or Chris Drake, I will stay clear

I spoke with Chris initially. We measured every piece of furniture. He made an estimate and included extra space on the truck for additional boxes. Later I was called by Phillip who went through the same procedure and added additional space for more items. I asked Phillip if we don't use the addtional space what would the costs be. I was told it would be around 3K as opposed to the amount with the additional space which was 3.5k. We did not use any of the additional reserved space and even dropped a couple of items and we were still charged the 3.5k. When I asked about it I was told our furniture was larger than what was measured and we used all the space. How? Our furniture didn't grow and the movers never measured anything going on the truck or coming off. They are thieves plain and simple. They overcharge and will steal your money. AVOID.

Initially quoted one price with caveat that price will be verified upon pick up. Went room by room with video and company member. Closer to mover a second QA review upped the price 2500 even though we took 3 loads of household contents ourselves after receiving initial quoted estimate. Payment methods for pickup are markedly different between pickup and delivery. Promoted POSTAL money order, Zelle and cash which is difficult to manage with final fees dependent upon “pick up” and dependent on your bank… Limits are set per day and with a quote of 14k with a Zelle limit of 1k per day set by bank … Not an option and of course to use a debit/bank card is 4% of unconfirmed pickup quote.

Load sit in Chicago 1 week and we were assured we would be a direct ship to new state. At delivery, payment method even more stringent… Cash is king …Notified on a Sunday that they would deliver between 8-10 on Monday and of course we aren’t there so making arrangements to pay balance was rather involved (friends forked cash in our absence). Delivery crew ask for a tip! After paying over 14k with some difficulty in meeting their payment methods …. They left a mess and furniture the disassembled was not assembled…. Did not even offer a senior discount and we are in our 70’s …. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Fortunately we will not be moving again.

Thieves!!! Zero stars!! We had a stressful, large move planned from Texas to New York, and were given details by a rep by the name, Julie **, a very nice lady on the phone. She knew our entire background story with husband’s parents in California, both with dementia. It was a matter of getting to my home state (NY) where we would have better opportunities for the parents’ care. Ms. ** knew we were torn between choosing them and one other carrier that she ranked below standard. So she offered us something on the spot that one of her supervisors offered, and that we knew was impossible in terms of price and timing. We decided on that very day after speaking to our other company that Ms. ** was making a false promise of something impossible to carry out. We had just paid the $5,000 deposit but immediately wrote an email to Logistics to cancel the upcoming move of November 5th.

For days and months they ignored our request for our deposit and here we are. They kept our deposit despite a timely cancellation. She never wrote back to me despite us having multiple friendly texts prior to that. We had shared stories by text including her waiting for her son to come home from the service on one of those days for which I congratulated her. After our cancellation I pleaded with her to get back to me. She just went cold and never answered. Somebody at that company truly did a dirty deed. How do people sleep at night knowingly stealing money this way?!

I have moved 16 times in my life. I have never experienced anything like this group. They hold themselves out as licensed household movers, will show you pictures of a couple of moving vans..All the B.S. to get you in. The virtual estimate was in the ball park, except 7 days before move had another one with them. Claimed sales agent underestimated, price went up $2000 …At this point I had no choice as my time table did not allow any flex. Five guys (including driver) showed up and packed (customer packing…really means tossed in wardrobes) and loaded a 2317 sg ft house in 13 hours with minor split load. This was easy part… Gave them a date for drop…Followed up and was told that date was wrong…Finally showed almost a week later…Split.

The balance took another four days. Minor damages to a lot of goods, parts missing, packing materials non existent. My. Damage was estimated at over $3000. No recourse. Customer Care women were gate keepers…you could not talk to anyone. DO NOT USE THESE FOLKS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE THEIR LATEST VICTIM!!! I had to move local here in Albany and choose 24/7 Logistic Services after reading some good stuff bout them. From the first call they was friendly and easy to deal with, no pushy sales or weird fees. On moving day the crew showed up right on time. It was John, Mike and Luis who helped me out, all three real chill guys that worked steady the whole time. They took care packing up my bigger things like the couch, bed and tv stand, wrapping it good so nothing got scratched or broke. They also helped box up some smaller stuff when I was running behind, which saved me a lot stress. I liked how they handled my glass table and computer gear, all made it safe with no issues. The move was just across town but still took few hrs with loading, driving and unloading. Even so the guys kept good pace and didn't waste time.

They asked where I wanted furniture set and put heavy stuff right in place before leaving. Felt more like working with friends than with a moving company. Price was fair for the job, no surprise charges at the end. Everything stayed safe, no lost boxes, no broken things. For local move it honestly went better then I thought. I moved before with other companies and it was stressful, but this time was smooth from start to end. Overall I'm very happy and would call 24/7 Logistic again if I need to move in Albany. Big thanks to John, Mike and Luis for making it easy on me.
