I have been buying from Puritan's Pride for over 40 years. After I moved to Israel, there has been a huge change with orders and availability of support staff. I have ordered many items and have not had any negative comments about any of them. I do agree with other reviews that since PP has outsourced there has been a decline. Many of the regular items I order are not available in Israel. Worst is that the staff in Israel do NOT speak English. I have called the New York office for help with orders and orders sent to the wrong address. Oh sure I could go on. No point. PP must get the act together or most of the old time customers with go to IHERB. You have great prices and specials. But there is a limit to how many mistakes can be tolerated.
I ordered 4 items was notified one was out of stock and would be mailed later. Their problem not mine, When they mailed the item they charged me an extra $21 for mailing. Outrageous. Will never deal with them again.
I used to order vitamins from Puritan's Pride for several years and I thought it is respectable and reliable company, but... I live in Russia and I have to pay for international shipment. That's why I always try to order for about $100. It is clear, if I buy 1 product with $10 price and pay $17 for the shipment in fact I get that product for $27, but if I buy 10 pcs for $100 and pay $25 for the shipment one piece is $12.5. They sent last package without some ordered product. Nobody told me before the package was sent that some position is out of stock. If they did - I would change order and keep average cost of vitamins including shipment in a resonable limits. But they didn't warn me and informed me when I could change nothing.
They refunded money for the absent position but as a result I've bought vitamins 50% more expensive (with a glance of shipping cost) than I ordered! Nice difference! Moreover, shipment cost with such a cut order had to be cheaper but they didn't cut it for the less weight. I wrote to Customer Help explaining situation. I hoped they compensate my loss by some way but the answer was "We are sorry, bla-bla-bla, please order again." Who would buy again after that? I don't want to get vitamins 50% more expensive than I paid for. Shame on you, Puritan's Pride! P.S. After this review (on another platform) I got reply from the company. They refunded $5 for wrong shipment cost and sent $5 as apology. Nobody in Puritan's Pride tried to calculate how much I really lost. I wrote to them again with detail calculation but they don't need to keep loyal customers: still no answer.
When shopping online I always use Rakuten or RebatesMe to save money. On 11-28-2019, I shopped the Black Friday sales on Puritan's Pride using RebatesMe. They had partnered with RebatesMe to provide 14.5% cash back during the Black Friday sales, which was a slightly better percentage than Rakuten offered. Now they claim they do not work with RebatesMe and refuse to pay the $36.30 they owe me on the $250.36 I spent! I have always had trouble getting them to pay up thru Ebates (now Rakuten), but getting Ebates to chase down my cash back always worked. Now it looks like Puritan's Pride is just balking at paying what they owe. I have been a good customer, but now I will shop for vitamins and supplements at other online stores that honor their commitments. They are just sleazy and dishonest. I hope others follow suit and avoid this dishonest company.
I made an online purchase with them on October 13, 2019. I tracked my order and found it had been delivered to another city. I called and spoke with a customer service who argued with me saying that it was delivered to my address. I told him it wasn't and UPS said it was delivered to the front desk. I told him I live in a house not an apartment. He said they would do an investigation and hung up. I called back today and they told me they messed up the tracking number and would sent out another one. I told the representative that I really need my vitamins and have been out of for an extra week. She didn't offer me a discount or free overnight shipping. I feel like I should have been offered both because of my inconvenience. I will never order from them again.
SAM-E 400mg tabs. I am finding completely formed PP's SAM-E pills in my fecal matter! I understand that they are enteric coated. From my research, this means that the pill does not dissolve until it gets to the intestines. Seems that is not happening. As a test, I dropped one into a glass of water and 24 hours later, no change. Emailed PP and asked them are they aware of this and why it is not doing what it is supposed to. The only thing I got back from PP was a return label apologizing that I did not like their product.
I was a customer of Puritan's Pride (PP) for 45 years. I have lived in the US and I now live in Japan. I was recently informed that my latest order was canceled. The reason was that PP now has a distributor in Japan. They informed me that I would have to use their distributor. Fair enough. Well, their distributor charges higher prices AND they did not carry certain items that I needed. I called PP and told them and their response was "that is not our problem." They told me that should I need to make a purchase I would need a US address and US credit card.
I have both, so I made an order to my US address using my US credit card. It was canceled again! I called them. They informed me that since the address was for a shipping forwarder, they suspected that I would have the items sent to Japan and so they canceled the order! BUT ISN'T THAT ILLEGAL, CANCELING AN ORDER TO A US ADDRESS? I told them on the phone and again their response "that is not our problem." Is this the way they treat their customers of 45 years? This is disgusting.
At the very least they should offered to ship the items that their distributor did not carry! NOTHING. NADA. ZILCH. PP has shown that they care NOTHING about their customers and only care about their money! Oh, they also lied to me. I asked them if I should have my order sent to a friend in the US and have her send it to me. They said that ALL their products would be blocked by the Japanese customs service that are not through their distributor and I would lose my money! THIS IS A TOTAL AND OUT AND OUT LIE! Do yourself a favor and order from another company. This money-hungry group is not worth it.
Got a 240 count bottle of Coq10.... Got about 6 pills out and the rest is just one big glob, and will not break apart without ruining pill. Called company....they said could not do anything about it, since I got it from Amazon.
I have been purchasing for many years. In the past had no problem communicating with Puritan's in New York. Now they are in some strange parts of the world (Pakistan, Uganda I can't tell?) and they keep you on hold forever and never call back. Something has gone critically wrong with this company and unless I see it corrected I cannot continue to trust them. Also I paid for three bottles of oregano oil pills which came as one congealed mass inside the bottle making them useless.
Just received my order from Puritan's for turmeric curcumin 500 mg. It's not the same color at all, it's a brownish looking color, not yellow at all. But the worst thing is, I can tell a difference in the way it makes me feel. Taking same dosage as before from last batch, but this batch makes me not feel as good and I'm hurting. Never had that happen before, so they're going downhill with the quality of their supplements, I'll be buying turmeric from somewhere else.
Have been a loyal customer for 25 years. Have moved often since retirement. Lived in Georgia for several years. My street sign said Rogers Break. Couldn’t order because they wanted St or Rd or Ave. When I explained there wasn’t one - no order. Moved to Virginia, then to New Jersey. Tried to place an order but could not remember the zip code in Virginia. Mind you, I had the address but without zip code - no order. I believe this all started when ordering went to the Philippines.
Let me preface this review by saying I have spent thousands of $$$ over the years supporting Puritan's Pride. On March 19, 2019 I placed an online order and received a confirmation of the order via email. I was supposed to receive my package in 10-14 days. Three weeks later I called and was told the order hadn't been processed yet. They hadn't billed me yet. I was so furious that they hadn't processed or sent my order and asked what they were going to do about it. The "supervisor" said he'd have it processed the next day (Monday) and overnight shipped the following day.
After not receiving my package again for another 10 days, I called Puritan's Pride only to be told the order had been accidentally canceled. I was again enraged. I demanded to speak to a supervisor who said he would research the original order and ship it out immediately. He did. I received my package today and 1/5 of my order is missing. I called and spoke to a "supervisor" who told me those 5 items are out of stock and they couldn't sell them to me for the same price as when I ordered them 7 weeks ago. I was livid. He said "I'm sorry you feel that way". WHAT! How about "I'm sorry we're incompetent". By the way, their call center is in the Philippines not in the US.
I have been a loyal customer of Puritan's Pride for about 20 years, NO MORE! On the morning of 4/16/19 I purchased $207.54 worth of vitamins from them online. Later that afternoon I started receiving overdraft notices in my email. I pulled up my bank account and they charged me 25 times $207.54 for a total of $5,188.50! I called their so called "customer service" located somewhere in the Middle East by the and to make a long story short, I've spent well over 5 frustrating hours on the phone over the past 7 days and still don't have my money back.
Their customer service personnel give you nothing but false promises, fake apologizes and massive hold times while accomplishing NOTHING. And forget about ever talking to the same person twice or a supervisor or anybody in the corporate office in NY. That won't happen. They STOLE over $5,000 of my money that I need for day to day expenses and could care less about it. Not only am I DONE with Puritan's Pride I'm telling everybody and will continue to write reviews everywhere I can, over and over. They should call themselves Puritans Disgrace or Puritans Thieves.
After posting the above review, and writing letters to the president of the company and providing a courtesy copy the the president of the parent company, I received an apologetic call. I received the product that had not been in the original package, and I was given a $5 credit toward further purchases. I believe they got the message.
Received a shipment and UPS obviously damaged the packaging. One of the bags of psyllium husks had obviously torn and the the packaging tape had the product in it. One bag was missing from the shipment. I called their customer service number and explained the situation to JJ in the Dominican Republic. The hallmark of scumbag outfits is to outsource customer service to some third world ** where worker are paid $0.12/hour. JJ assured me that I would be contacted by someone from the New York Office. A week goes by and no one calls. I send an email to their customer service, and three days later, no response. It's not even their fault (UPS damaged the package), and they still couldn't care less about contacting me. Horrible customer service.
I have placed many orders in the past couple of years. The prices (many times get one or two free) and the quick delivery of items is tops. I have no problem with the quality of the product. The ordering site is easy to used.
Do not have the money. Tried to cancel order. They will not let you. If you cancel payment at bank will turn over to collection. Did not like the food except waffles and muffins. This is not fair that they will not let you cancel order.
Puritan advertise refer a friend and we both get $10. I refer a friend to purchase some items on Puritan website but we both did not get the $10. Gets only excuses from customer services. This company falsely advertise "Refer a friend $10" promotion. Be careful.
Hello! My experience with Puritan's Pride is quite good. I received fast my order, anything was missing except items that are out of stock. (The best deal, maybe to push you to order?) But I also saw on the front page, "Receive with an order made today, a free complimentary gift." No gift in my package and I called them, polite but they said, “No gift was offered this day and not what you pretend.” It was on their front page on the top and I remember the picture. I had the feeling that they did not believe me or pretend so not to send it to me. They did not offered to send it. This is my experience with Puritan's Pride.
Yesterday I placed two orders of vitamins and fish oil on Puritan's Pride website and received the order numbers after I submitted my orders. However, I did not get the confirmation e-mails. So I contacted their customer service and was told my orders didn't get through because my Chase Sapphire Visa failed to approve the payments. I then contacted Chase Visa immediately. Chase Visa told me they had approved the two payments instantly when the requests were received. This evening around 8:20pm, I contacted Puritan's Pride customer service again to check the status of my orders. They just repeated the same story with the same reason, even though I clearly told them that Chase Visa had already approved the payments a day ago. I am so disappointed!!
This is such a bad company that first I placed my order on 07-08-2018 and they received the payment by my credit card and after few days they send me a notification email that, "Your order has been shipped and you will receive it within 6 weeks" but even after 8 weeks the order not delivered. Then even after several email they told me, "There was a mistake. We will send you the replacement order". Then after 10 days they again send me the notification email that again "Your order has been shipped on 16-10-2018 and it will be deliver it to you shortly." Now it’s going to be 4 months from my order placement. I am unable to get my order due to the lack Puritan's Pride services. They are such a careless company for which they are not caring for their customers which is the main objective of a organization. Please don't place any order with them. It’s just wastage of time and money. They will not reply back to your emails and even not help.
I placed a order on Sept 28th online for essential oil set. I logged back in a few days later to check my order and it showed someone else's name, address and phone number. I called Puritan's Pride customer service and the guy acted as if I was lying. I offered to send them a picture of the order history and what it showed. He said okay. He also told me it might be a computer error. He did not seem too concerned someone's personal info was showing on my order history.
I then sent an email to customer service with a snapshot of the proof of what was on my page. They never responded. I placed another order yesterday and went to check on it today and it doesn't show any order. There is a serious issue going on at Puritan's Pride and someone needs to check into what is going on. I intend to call the local attorney general today. There is an extreme issue with personal info getting into other folk's hands and they don't care about it.
I've been ordering from Puritan's Pride for quite a while and am generally fine. The fish oil received once was cloudy but most of the items are fine. The problem with ordering seems to be intentional by Puritan's Pride so that they may try and sell you more items at check out. Then when I call the first card I give them is always denied. The speed in which the order taker asks for another credit card makes me suspicious of why this is being done. Possibly to the point of discontinuing future purchases. The card(s) I've used work everywhere else and are cards that are rejected online. They miraculously work (on the second card) every time. Are you doing something illegal here? Can you explain this in a reasonable fashion?
My credit card were charged but it has been a week and my order were not reflected in the history. Delivery usually is within three days for the same State (NY). I called customer service and I was told the orders is under process. But that was three days ago Sept 24. I am now looking for other vitamins to who can give me a quality service.
This is a copy of the email I sent to the customer service, which was never responded to... Then I called and was offered $5... Which is not the email offer extended to me and I have them all in writing and did exactly everything that was required. This may not be totally clear, but suffice it to say they do NOT live up to their end and their customer service was awful! Lost a customer! "Placed my order $111 and change. Had $10 off in cart, which it applied discount to $101 and change. Placed order thru PayPal. Received emailed stating “Oops something went wrong." Now $10 is gone. Also the free promo for today only, gone too. I’ll also be gone unless you’re able to fix this..."
Have been purchasing their products for years, recently their products and service have gone way down. Last week received some vitamins and Fish Oil, the Fish Oil came stuck together and could not even come out of the bottle. Called and after being transferred to the "customer service" the phone kept ringing and never got answered (after 20 minutes). Not an isolated case, have had problems like that before and took quite some time to resolved.
I order products, shipped on 8/7, was supposed to get it 8/10. It went 4 days away. On the 8/17 it made my city and then it went 1300 miles south, emailed a few times, offer me nothing. I ask if they could reship, and next day maybe, that was no, but they would reship and I 'is get it 4 to 7 days! I said cancel my order. I'll maybe get my money back in 1 to 4 days.
Order this Super Snooze with Melatonin on July 11, 2018. Have not received this item yet. Have called twice including today. I was told it is still back ordered with four to six weeks before shipment. I'm not impressed!
Order place on 20th of July, Puritan's website states item shipped out on the 20th. Messaged help center on the Aug 4th. Didn't get any reply, called the helpline. The line were busy. Today (6th Aug) I checked the tracking number on USPS website and got the following message: "Tracking Number: **. Status: Label Created, not yet in system. A status update is not yet available on your package. It will be available when the shipper provides an update or the package is delivered to USPS. Check back soon." Fraud company indeed.
Puritan's Pride (PP) uses United Parcel Service (UPS) Surepost as their delivery vehicle. The theory is that UPS picks up your box at the PP location, delivers it to the USPS facility. USPS then takes it to your quarters. The experience is totally different in this area. The UPS driver DROPS your package off where it requires the least work for him. On one occasion, he dropped in front of my garage at night. It had been raining and was due to rain again. In front of the garage door provides little protection against the weather.
At a more recent time, the driver DROPPED a package of vitamins on the concrete in front of my front door. Fortunately, the package was fairly well packed and nothing was broken. I watched the driver and filed a complaint with PP once. I cancel my order with a mail order firm rather than have UPS deliver to my quarters. I have had unsatisfactory interaction with their supervisors in the past. PP management will not have to worry about using the profit from my purchases to lower their personal mortgage balance or their monthly car payment in the future.
Love this company... My orders are always correct, fast and everyone I have talked to really make me feel appreciated as a customer. I've been taking the vitamins and my pressure and blood work has improved since last year. The deals are great too!
Recently, I've been a little disappointed with Puritan's shipping time. I understand that they are having a massive sale, but even when I've ordered during similar sales (buy 1 get 2 free), I've never had a delay in my order. They always shipped it within 2 days and I usually got it within 4. Well, it's been 4 days since my order was placed and just now they shipped it. This means that it's not going to arrive until another 7 days. So disappointing. I've had an issue with hormones imbalance and hirsutism for years. I finally figured out what my problem is and ordered the right vitamins and nutrients. These weren't even in the buy 1, get 2 free sale.
So needless to say, I was super excited to get them and kept going to my mail the last two days expecting it to have arrived as other Puritan purchased products have. When I contacted support, they didn't have a real reason for the delay, the customer service rep was clueless. She simply assured me that they would arrive by next Thursday. Yeah, ok. If shipping was delayed, let's hope the products that arrive are the correct ones and not expired. I don't overlook little details like that. I had the highest regard for Puritan in all levels for the past couple of years, but recently it's like they changed CEOs or strategies. I don't like it one bit.
I placed an order with Puritan’s Pride on January 4, 2017. Their website acknowledges the order date (see attached). After 3 days of not hearing anything, I called customer service. Their customer service is in the Philippines, so I had to struggle to understand the representatives. I mean, these customer service reps are USELESS. They just repeat the same script over and over. They don’t promise ANY action to address the problem at hand. I called customer service 3 more times over 3 days. Once, during business hours I was connected with someone named Debbie, I think, who was in the U.S. Debbie also assured me the order would ship that afternoon. Needless to say, it did not. Meanwhile, my credit card had already been charged 2 days prior to this.
Later that evening, I called customer service in the Philippines again and received the same robotic response from the customer service representative. I asked to speak to a manager and she again started to repeat the same response. Now, my blood was boiling. I demanded to speak to a supervisor. A supervisor named Edmar came on the phone. I explained the problem. He offered no solution nor recourse and repeated the same script as the customer service rep.
As of now, it has been 5 days since the order was placed and it is still sitting in the warehouse, according to the Puritan’s Pride website. I am out $70. As of 2 days ago and nothing has shipped, despite promises for the last 3 days that the order would ship, first yesterday and then today. I DO NOT recommend doing business with this company. I am in my 60s and have done most of my shopping online for the past decade or so and this has been one of the top 3 or 4 worst customer service experiences of my life.
I ordered a product online and found that it was being sent to billing address incorrectly. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE and was told I must call back after two hours. I cancelled by email. They failed to cancel again. There is no one to receive or refuse shipment. I demanded a full refund. No response. Will file BBB complaint.
My experiences have been nothing but positive. This company is one of the best on the internet and as well as catalogue sales. They have most of the products I need as well as fantastic sales as well as a lot of products that cannot be purchased anywhere else online. I also feel that the shipping is reasonably priced, it is very quick delivery. Customer service is quick and efficient too. I like the item reorder list and how easy it is to use. However, I wish that they would carry some additional products that I have a need for. Sometimes when they offer their buy one get 3 or more for free, I feel that there should be more products included in those sales.
I like the specials they offer such as 2 or 3 items for the price of 1. Their turnaround time for receiving an order and getting it out the door is very quick. Their shipping time is phenomenal too. Puritan’s Pride fast shipping offers a wide variety of vitamins and herbs. Also, their customer service has always been polite and very professional. Their shipping costs and expediting policy and procedures are above average as well. There is nothing about Puritan's Pride that I would change. But maybe I could persuade them to have a four for one sale on occasion. It seems as though they have put in a lot of time and thought into how to have a happy returning customer.
Their customer service is great and helpful. I also like their prices and selection of products. Shipping is pretty quick. The return policy is also great--tey give you quite a bit of time to return unwanted products. They have great promotions but a loyalty program would be great. I would be more likely to buy all my vitamins there is I was rewarded for doing so. They should also encourage customers to leave reviews on the products. Some products had no reviews and I would like to hear from real customers before I try new vitamins.
Puritan's Pride has provided me with some of the best customer service I have ever received from any other company used by me. I really like the quality this company provides for its customers as well as the price of their product line. I also like the company's way of advertising their different products to their customers. One thing I dislike about this company is the amount of capsules per bottle and I wish there are more included in their package. I also wish their packaging was not so confusing to read and understand.
Puritan's Pride has a wide selection of vitamins and supplements and the shipping and delivery were fast as well. The prices on the vitamins and supplements are very good and competitive too. They also have great offers like sales and BOGO deals. I always look forward to the booklets they send me in the mail where I can see all of the vitamins and supplements in one book. However, they do not have the best quality vitamins and supplements. I ordered 500 mg magnesium capsules and when it came I found out it was magnesium oxide which is the lowest quality magnesium you can find with a low bioavailability/absorption rate at about 23 percent. Magnesium oxide is very cheap so maybe that's why they have such good sales all the time.
I only purchased Puritan's Pride once. Their prices were not as good as other places I shop offline. I prefer GNC. In the future I probably will not use their services as I have more viable options.
Puritan's Pride has good prices and quality vitamins. They have good sales and selection. The website is very easy to shop and find specific items. I feel good when I take these vitamins. The checkout does not reflect discounts, sometimes. Their customer service is a little slow, so they may need more employees. I have been a customer for around ten years and have had no problems with my orders or the company. Deliveries of orders are made in a reasonable time. I have good lab results, so they're probably helping.
I used Puritan's Pride because they had a sale on a particular hard to find vitamin I needed. The vitamins are pricey, more than just about any other place. I would not use it for basic everyday vitamins, it's too expensive. Also, shipping is not free and the threshold for free shipping is way too high.
Puritan's Pride has been around for over 40 years. They offer free shipping for online orders, and they offer specials. The items are place where you can easily see them and the payment methods allows cash, credit, or PayPal. On the other hand, they could update the product they sell. They need to offer newer products that is new to the market, the selection was outdated (could use a face-lifted). I think that they should offer free shipping on more of their items. The service is on point, they response to my questions in a timely manner, and the shipping schedule is flexible.
Puritan's Pride products are made from high-quality ingredients and their service is excellent. I received what was advertised, in a quick and reliable manner. I would order from them again and my family orders from them as well. My experience with them has been good. My father introduced me to this company and I have used them for years. This is a company my father has used and my brother, an MD, uses and refers his patients to for their supplements. My order was delivered fast. I received from Puritan's Pride what they advertised in a very quick manner.
Their drug store is within walking distance. They are very well stocked, and it's in alphabetical order, always fresh and price is very reasonable as well. They are a helpful pharmacy. They have a friendly staff, convenient hours and family friendly, covers adult men, adult women and children. However, I hope they have more pills/capsule per bottle, more check out aisles be used, more staff who knows about all vitamins, and more sale as well.
Puritan's Pride's prices can't be beat. Add to that, great customer service and their buy one get two free deals and free shipping are awesome!! I have been purchasing their products for many years now. It's my one and only go-to for all of my supplements.
Puritan's Pride website is easy to navigate and they have all great products that suit my needs. Also they have lots of deals to purchase. I have never gotten a package that was wrong and the shipment arrived in a timely fashion. But without some of the deals their prices are too high. Also, they don't always have what I am looking for and I have to go somewhere else. But I am always successful in ordering from them. I have called their customer service and they are very helpful. Their vitamins, minerals, and other health products are excellent.
Puritan's Pride has tons of good products available, products have enough information on there for me to determine if the product will be good to buy. They have free shipping offers, discounts, quick customer service, if emailing with questions they reply back quick, great variety of products online. But they have slow shipping speed, have to purchase a certain amount of products in order to get free shipping. I would offer free shipping on all products, regardless of amount of money spend.
