Do NOT everrrr get a loan from this company! They garnished my check and when I finished paying they are still trying to garnish for more money (which is illegal). They will harass you. They will argue with you when you know for a fact how much money you owe!

I got approved for a loan and received the merchandise. One month later I called the company to get the information so that I could simply pay my bill. They would not give me any information and told me that I could not pay my bill unless I gave them four references. I explained I don't have four references and they would not let me pay my bill or give me the information to do so elsewhere. Stay far away from this company if you want to be treated right. The manager called me names and I have all of this recorded. I have complaints lodged in four different places against him and this company. I should have read reviews before I purchased because they are all one star reviews. I would give zero if I could.

Do not ever go through Tower Loan in Joplin Mo for a loan. They are hateful and they lie. I paid my loan off in two payments and before that they called me and everyone else and harassed us every day 5to6 times a day. They threatened me to call their lawyer and sue me. That is why they have a one rating score. And no one is in the office except the workers because this company is no good and their interest rates are through the roof. These people are in for money not to help the customer. Think better than I did before you go through the headache with this company.

If you need money do not go to Tower loans!!, they are not worth the stress. They are not willing to work with payment dates and the interest is insane. They will not accept the loan payment if you can't pay the interest that they tag on for being even a few days late. I recently lost my job, not their problem, I know.. But you would think that if they want their money they would work with payment dates.. They call me and everybody I know a million times a day from different numbers.. They harass me.. I had one guy screaming at my son and trying to intimidate him and just recently they knocked on my door. Again, No amount of money is worth the harassment..

Unprofessional: Came to my door to collect a payment that I had already made and never once bothered to leave a voicemail that it did not go through. Not to mention the constant calling when the payment is not even due. How are we supposed to know what's going on when you don't leave voicemails and are calling all the time? It's not necessary at all. I would rather go to Mariner or Region. I have never encountered such an unprofessional experience in my life, such as showing up at my door when you are not communicating correctly.

The worst company to ever work with. They're not good people. None of the local branches treat people with respect. They Don't work with you. And they break the law by charging high amounts of interest. Please consider shutting this complete down.

I purchased a mower and the company used tower loans. I set up monthly payments at higher than monthly rate to have it paid off in less than a year. A few months into it I noticed my account wasn't being debited. They were not making payments, nor had anyone contacted me. I just went in and paid it off in full after reading reviews of other people being scammed with something like this happening and then being charged extra fees. It also would not let me login to my account to check the status.

This is one of the most incompetent "loan companies" in existence. I bought a 12X20 shed that was built on my property and financed by Tower Loan through the shed company. No experience with them, I just said fine. The shed was bought from a company operating in Louisiana, I live just across the border in Texas. After a short amount of time of making auto payments, they decided they would switch the account to a Texas based address without letting either me or the bank know. The autopay was declined, of course, because of errant information they were supplying.
I knew nothing about this until they finally sent me a letter. You are behind on your payments. I wondered how I could be behind on my payments with autopay set up? BTW, they charge you a convenience fee to use autopay! Almost $3 every time. I called the number immediately and a long argument ensued. They could not understand the fact that my bank informed me the info on the account had changed and they would not approve payments unless I verified it.
I ended up making 2 payments that month, one the normal autopay which I had had the bank restart and an extra payment to make up for the "missing" one, plus they charged me a $40 late fee plus they reported this situation to the credit bureau, even tho all of this was their fault. Fast forward to last month. I just figured I'd pay this loan off and never do business with them again. On the normal day of my payment last month, the final amount was taken out plus a separate convenience fee and I thought, thank goodness this is over with. Or was it?
The next day, I received a text from Tower Loan saying I am late on my payment. Here we go again, except THIS time, they actually HAD taken the payment. I called these people yet again. I was informed I hadn't made a payment at all. This would be funny if it weren't true. Instead, it is maddening to deal with such moronic incompetence. As if I'm lying about the draft THEY made through autopay. I spent quite a bit of time today on the phone and they came back with: You missed a payment and that has to be made up. The lady didn't want to hear anything else even tho I told her I had made that payment up PLUS paid and $40 fee. I have the proof, my bank statement shows in May of 2023 I made the normal autopay AND the extra payment. But do they want to hear this? No. I am now told they are having staffing trouble and the manager of the store dealing with me will call me back on Monday. Today is WEDNESDAY.
There is one thing for certain: I am NOT paying them another dime. They will have to take me to court and I will produce the bank statements of every payment including the make-up payment with the $40 fee. And let me tell you this. There is no corporate number for this company. You cannot call their headquarters - well you might be able to if you use one of these online search companies and pay a fee for it. Who knows. They are located in Flowood, Mississippi which is near Jackson. If they weren't that far away, I would just go visit them and deal with this in person.
Since I can't, I sent them a note which is then directed back to where? The store that you deal with and in this case, a manager who isn't available until next week. And I will remain true to my word, I have the evidence, they are not getting another penny from me and I would suggest you never do business with this shady company.

I used Tower Loan through a furniture company in June of 2023 and had no issues up until I moved states. Afterwards they harassed me constantly and contacted family that were not authorized to be contacted nor were their names on my account. I reached out to tower loan 2 weeks ago and requested a 10-day pay off quote to which the associate, Donovan informed me they cannot do that and I need to come in to get one. I informed him I moved to Oklahoma and I need it mailed or emailed to me. He was finally stated he would have a supervisor send it over. 2 weeks later he called due to a missed payment and I informed him I was waiting on the pay off quote. He said it was emailed and I asked him what the email was titled and the account that emailed it over and looked through my email entirely, including junk and was unable to find it.
When I told him this he became aggressive and when I asked him to send another one he said, "We can’t do that, you’re 3 months past due." I informed him I was trying to pay off the loan completely but I need that letter. His response was to shout it’s $54 to which I stated you don’t know what’s happening in my life financially and that’s not your concern and I’m telling you that I am wanting to pay it off but I need that letter. His response was I’ll send it again and then hung up on me. Extremely disrespectful and unhelpful, I also checked my receipts and I show a payment was made on 6/8/2024 showing he lied about my late payments. I do not recommend using them as their customer service is horrible. I went ahead and paid my past bill but will be in contact with his manager.

A "1" is too high for this company. They are awful awful people. They not only harass you but they discuss your account with other people. I'm working towards filing a harassment suit against them. They have sued me. Adding 1700.00 in attorney fees. No warning and after I sent a partial payment. They know my situation and why I got behind but they don't care.

I'm not sure what is going on at Tower loan, but the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. When I went into one of their locations to make my first payment, I told them I would like to set up automatic payments through my bank because I didn't want to drive to the office every month. They had no problem with that, so I signed all the autopay paperwork and left them a voided check. Every month, the payment has gone through my bank smoothly with no problems. But also, every month they call me to tell me that my payment is overdue! I finally talked to a manager, explained the situation, and she said she would put a note on my file that no one from the office was allowed to call me but her. Since then, they don't call me anymore, but now they send me "late notices" in the mail. Meanwhile, the payments continue to go through every month like clockwork and I've never had a late payment. Tower Loan really needs to get it together!

I never knew I had a loan with with this company Tower; I bought furniture from Ashley and assumed it would be like with their credit card company. The first thing they say is a figure I suppose to owe which is wrong. I told them so and they said, "I have your signature and I will ruin your credit if you do not pay us the $3,500." First they do not have my signature that couch was canceled so they do not even know what is going on but decide to threaten me. My invoice says $2,745.00 NOOOO, NOOOO run from this company unless you want to be threatened and strong armed.

Please stay as far away from this business as you can. If you have a bad day or say something they don’t like and you are late on your payment. They will automatically take you to court for the full balance. They are not friendly nor helpful. Their Google reviews are not based on true experience. It is their friends doing the reviews.

I have made ZERO loan inquiries. Yet Tower Loan sent me a $6,004.00 check out of the blue. No application or approval process. I'm sorry, that's not advertising, that's entrapment! That's not all, cashing it means I agree to a 35.8% interest rate! Almost $3,000.00 on top of the $6,000.00, and that's if I can pay it off in 2 years. Like probably most others who received one of these I definitely could not pay it off in that amount of time so the interest total would be even higher!
Luckily, I'm old enough to know better and not currently desperate for money. Unfortunately, that's not the case for all those who received one of these checks. Banks who use "live checks" target lower income, moderate credit folks. That's not my opinion, that's fact, Google it. These "live checks" leave so very many with terrible credit, and in a cycle of debt, just paying down interest. When they never even looked for a loan in the first place! In my opinion this is the absolute lowest of predatory Lending!

I am NOT a customer of this company. One of their employees came to my house, about 10/ or so miles from town. This person drives into my carport and begins yelling out the window. Now, with all the shootings and robberies around here lately, I may exit my home with a firearm. This person could have stopped in the driveway and used the sidewalk like a normal person would. But, he decided it was better to drive into my carport and begin yelling out the window. My security system captured all of this. I sent an email to the company service, but don't know if they will do anything. They may want to teach their employees how approach someone's house. So, watch out if someone approaches your house. Be ready for a firefight, but it may be one of their idiots looking for someone else...

They are terrible with confidentiality. They will do whatever they feel is ok to obtain information. The most unethical place I have ever had to deal with. By no means will I ever be using them again. I am a private person and they went to people who were not a reference of mine. And began airing my business.

I got a notice in the mail that I was pre-approved for a $50,000 loan. I spoke with the company and told them I only wanted 25000 to consolidate my debt to one payment and have it deducted from my bank account. At this time I was told that I was not approved and that they wanted to get me in their program to negotiate my debt. I told the woman that I was not interested because I was fully capable of paying my bills, I was looking for convenience. She kept saying that was what they were doing. I told her when I got the cards I signed and gave my word that I would pay my full debt. She said what did I care that the Banks sure didn't care about me.
She asked why I wouldn't want to spend quality time with my wife and have money in my pocket. When I told her that I had never been late on a payment, always paid a few dollars more than the minimum, had a lot of quality time with my wife and would be willing to bet her that I had more money in my pocket than she did, she told me she didn't understand me and ended the conversation.

I have talked to others and have had that same problem. I will never have another loan with this company. Then oh about 4:15 shows up and get a email that says I was declined after filling out all the paperwork sending all the documents that they asked for telling me I was approved and it would be deposited then I get a denial. I got a loan from them for furniture in 2020. Never late! They kept calling trying to get me to get extra money and I would refuse. Then all of sudden I started getting calls saying I’m late. I go there with receipts. They show where a payment was received late and I had to make a late fee. 3 months later same thing. So I asked them, "Are you intentionally holding my payments, just so you can credit them late so I would have to pay more. Because as you can see I’m making the payments and you are receiving them them on time." They got extremely mad and started cussing. So I asked him to explain why they are been credited late when you are receiving them on time.

Every single month I set up a payment to pay these people. I get paid twice a month and the way my bills are set up I pay them with my second check and like clockwork, I start getting calls. When will I pay, I tell a person then another one call the next day. I’m like, are you serious? I get talked to any kind of way. This last time a girl called and I said, "I will be setting up a payment for the next Tuesday." Well, she misunderstood and someone else called.
I’m like, "I said Tuesday. I never not pay." I said, "I don’t like y’all calling like I don’t pay." The fur Erin says, "And we don’t like you." I was like wow. I asked for a manager. He said, "I am the manager." So I said, "Well let me talk to your manager." He started screaming and I hung up. I called the office back and a woman answered. I then asked for a manager. She said, "Who is this." I said, "Excuse me, I need a manager." She answered, "What’s your name." I hung up. The most unprofessional people I have ever seen. It’s unreal. I will never do business with them and I hope and pray that I can hurry up and pay them because no one deserves to be treated like that.

I took out a loan for my daughter to help her with a personal issue. She lost her job and was having trouble pay the loan. I called and asked if we could pay the interest on it and explained my situation. That technically it was my daughter's loan but in my name. I am on disability and can barely pay my own bills. They told me they didn’t do the pay the interest thing and that I needed to pay something by a certain date. They kept calling me, harassing my Mom, harassing my friend in Lake Charles. I called them once again and tried to explain my situation. Told them I couldn’t handle the stress right now. It’s the holidays, my son has been missing since Aug of 2014. That I was already fragile, to please stop I’m doing the best I can.
Finally they said if I brought a certain amount in by the end of the day that would catch me up till next payment. I got with my daughter, between the 2 of us we came up with that amount and she went and paid it. The VERY NEXT DAY, they are calling me asking when will we back in to make a payment. I explained to them that she went in yesterday and made that payment like she had said. She tells me, "Yes she did but she didn’t say that’s what it was for." I told her, "What do you mean?" She tells me to do a deferment. I would have had to sign a document. I told her, "But that’s not what you told me." She said, "When will you be back in to make a payment." I tried once again to explain to her, "I did what you asked, you didn’t apply it the way you said you was." Then I told my daughter to just go in as soon as you can and pay something. I don’t care how much, just anything. When she tried to do that they refused payment.
This month I went online and paid a note plus some, of course I still have a negative balance. Next day they are calling me asking when I was going to make a payment. I explained to them I just did yesterday but they told me I still owed a balance. NOTHING is good enough. It’s not bad enough that they constantly call me every 30 minutes but they call my Mom and Mary. Mary is fighting MS and has asked them to quit calling her. My Mom is 73 yrs old and taking care of a challenged adult. They need to STOP! I am about to take legal actions if this doesn’t quit.

The people at Tower Loan are rude and and unprofessional. After my loan was paid in full in less than 90 days, Tower Loan reported to the credit report that I borrowed much more than I did. Tower Loan wanted me to put my car up for collateral. Because of the above reasons and more, I decided to take my business elsewhere. Tower Loan didn't want to take my final payment. I had to call about 4 times and they charged me more than I owed. Tower Loan won't update my credit report account to reflect paid on time x 3 months, and paid in full. I filed a dispute with the credit bureaus and Tower Loan still haven't updated my credit report. I was still approved through reputable and well established companies with much better terms. I didn't have to put my car up for collateral and the interest rate is less than half of what Tower Loan wanted to charge me. I, also, filed a review with the Better Business Bureau. Please, do your due diligence.
