    Everything was good with Lower. My only interaction with them was through my broker, but everything was squared away when I came to closing.

    The rate and the terms were good for the time. Hopefully, it gets lower. You know how the mortgage rates go up and down. So we got a little bit lower than we were anticipating or what the normal rates were. It's there for a couple weeks where we were actually able to lock in at a lower rate than the median for that timeframe.

    We refinanced with Lower. My wife and I trusted Tatiana with just the way she approached us and talked to us. When I called her, she answered the phone or returned the phone call. When my wife and I asked her some questions together, she was able to answer those questions. We felt comfortable with her. We felt better with her.

    The application was simple, We didn't have to do too much. Most of the stuff they asked for I already had in one of my files in my computer. I could just send them right away. But they sold it to somebody else. We're gonna refinance after six months because we could get a lower rate.

    I used Lower for a mortgage. Carlton treated me well. I was happy with the terms and rates but I was pissed that they sold my mortgage to Freedom. It really pissed me off as I was trying to avoid them. I've had nothing but a nightmare with Freedom, lost checks and all kinds of things. They proved to me that they received the check because they had other things that were in the same envelope that the check was in. But they claimed they never got the damn check. One time, I paid two months in advance. When they took my August payment, they put that toward the escrow. And then sent me a late charge for not having paid in August. They're a complete rip-off. And as soon as I can, I'm getting rid of them.

    Also I'm still getting letters all the time from Lower saying that they could drop my mortgage payment. But they can't drop my mortgage payment. I don't have a mortgage with them anymore.

    We thought we were gonna get something cheaper, but in the long run, it wasn't. The process of getting the mortgage was alright. It took about a half hour to an hour. The rep filled out the application for me and walked me through the normal process, but I thought they could have been better as far as answering my questions, and I’m just not that happy with the mortgage anyway.

    This is my first mortgage and I wanted to do the FHA. We started in February and closed in April. I was in contact directly with Bob, the loan officer. He’s the best. He helped and worked hard.     Lower was previously my mortgage lender. When it came time to refinance, I chose them because of one particular reason. The fella that was helping me, Dana, was very professional. There are a lot of people who aren't exactly savvy with the process but he knew exactly what was needed and what I needed to do. He was really friendly. He was always just a phone call away and I got nothing but good things to say because of him.

    The application online was easy to navigate and work with. I remember I just had a couple of questions about it at the time. The application didn't take long at all. I did that in a single day. But there were some things that were needed that I had to gather up, other information as part of the application process.

    So that's why I called him back. It was very smooth and helpful. The rates were pretty much established with consideration with the VA financing. And that's something else that Dana was very astute about. He seemed to know everything about that as well. He pretty much did most of that for me. I'm very satisfied and I've already recommended Dana to a couple of other people who were shopping for the same thing.

    The overall experience wasn’t terrible. From start to finish, it probably took a month. Correspondence was through email and some through phone calls. However, the bad thing about Lower is as soon as the process was done, they sold the loan to another company. I didn’t even make a single payment to Lower. I got a letter saying, “Hey, this is your new loan company. This is what will be done.” There wasn’t any communication and I didn’t know anything until it was closed. The worst thing is all my paperwork is through Lower. And then I have no paperwork for the new loan place.

    My mother is elderly. It was time for her to move down here to South Carolina. We wanted to build her a house behind us so she can still be independent, but she's close. So, that's what we did. That's what the loan was for. We already owned the land behind us. It's connected to our backyard.

    Getting the loan through Lower was really simple. It was actually refreshing. We refinanced our home and we also bought mom's house. It changed all of our payments. Then we had some money, a payout amount so that we could finish her yard and all the turnkey stuff. The application process was good. I originally had gotten a letter in the mail about refinancing. So, when I got that, I told my husband, ""Oh, this might be the opportunity."" And I filled out everything online. I got a call from Abigail. She handled everything. It was great. As far as paperwork, I could fax everything from work. We even had the signing of the paperwork. The lady came here to our house. And we signed everything here.

    We've bought several houses. We bought our first house when we lived in Gaffney. And then we bought one in North Carolina when we moved. My husband was in the military so we moved. But honestly, this was probably the easiest we had to do.

    I refinanced with Lower. In the beginning, when I called Kyle, he was ready to answer questions. But after the deal went through, it seemed like the calls dropped. No communication after that. I even tried to call him some time after I did the final paperwork, but I never reached him. So, once he got what he needed, that was it for the contact between us. He was supposed to call me back to lower my interest rate in six months, but I never received a call. So, I didn't have a good experience with that situation.

    At that time, I was getting interest out of my home, a home equity loan and I had a lower rate. But he was offering to pay off some debts. So, that's why I went with them. The process was long with the inspections. It took about three weeks. The interest is high. They could have been more upfront as far as the interest rate. I had a 2.5 and they came back with a 6.14. I don't know why. I've been paying my bills on time and I had a good credit score.

    I was doing a refi and the ease of the online platform made me choose Lower. But the loan officer lied about a lot of things. He just fudged a lot of numbers that ended up being super inaccurate. And it was a really frustrating experience. Nick was very nice but honesty feels more important in a process like this. I thought he was the ultimate salesperson, where he had said what he needed to do to push something forward, he did a lot of different calculations. When the numbers actually came out, they didn't match. He told me that he had looked into my escrow numbers and that I would be getting an $11,000 refund. It turns out that he hadn't looked into my escrow numbers and there was actually no refund to be had.

    Besides Nick, their customer service was atrocious. So, I wouldn't work with them again. I wouldn't recommend anyone else to work with them again. I honestly think they have a branding problem, where they don't communicate transparently enough to the customer. So, it's a poor experience when the website provides this ease of experience, but then what we're getting on the other side of that is not super satisfactory..

    My agent turned me on to Lower and things went pretty good with them. It took two months for the loan processing to go through and I got my house in April. The rep who assisted me was a good dude and I still talk to him to this day if I have any questions. My sister passed away when I was going through that process and he worked with me. If I had questions, they worked on it fast and there wasn't a time where they would just put me off on hold and make me wait. They answered the phone every time I called and they made sure I knew that they sold my loan to Mr. Cooper before I even knew who Mr. Cooper was. So, I like that and I didn't have to worry about scamming.

    I used Lower for my mortgage and I was trying to refinance so I contacted them. It was a little hard to get hold of the loan agent that I was working with previously because he was out of town, but then after a week, we were able to connect. The process was simple. They already had the information since they did my mortgage, so they just did a soft credit score check and asked if I still worked at the same location, etc. Right now though, they advised that I should wait till my credit score has gone up and the interest rate has gone down more.

    Lower offered a better rate than the other companies that I was looking at. I went with a HELOC and the customer service was good and I’ve been happy with Sherri, the one who has guided me through the process. But I’m not happy with Shellpoint, the company that Lower has servicing the loan. There are issues with communication and payment. I've set up the auto-pay, and it came out once okay and then mysteriously dropped off. My payment didn't come out this month for October 25th. When I contacted them back, I made the payment for October and tried to set up the auto-pay again. But it's giving me an error saying that the account has to be current but reach out to customer service. So, I reached out and the rep said there's nothing they can do. I have to wait until it's updated and then I could go back in. All my banking information was saved on their dashboard for the auto pay and yet they did not deduct it.

    This is not the first time I've had several incidents with Lower since they took over from Willow who was supposed to be the one servicing it. We got off to a bad start. But we got it set up and fixed and I made the payment over the phone. Supposedly, all of this was going to rock and roll. But then, we're a few months in and here we go.

    Every time this happens, Lower is charging additional interest that they're making because the payment hasn't been applied to the principal and charging late fees. On their end, it's not their fault and it must be something on my end. But I've never had any problems like this with any other company. All of my bills are set up on auto-pay. I told Lower today I'm filing a complaint both with them and with the Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services for Florida as well as the Department of Financial Services on the federal level because it's a scam on their part. Other than that, I would recommend Lower and have recommended them to other individuals, both family and friends and coworkers who are looking for similar products. The rates and terms of the mortgage are very good, considering the current economic climate.

    I help veterans get their benefits and I decided that I want to do the VA loan just to encourage other veterans to use it. I found Carlton from Lower and that was amazing. He treated me like I was a genuine person and that he had a heart when I was talking to him about being a veteran. He walked me through the process, did everything, and kept me informed and encouraged. My credit wasn't all that nice back then but Carlton made it happen for me.

    I have never called Carlton that he would be too busy to talk with me. If I didn't get him on the call, shortly after I called, he would call me back. That's why I keep sending veterans to him.     We were building a tiny home and getting a mortgage loan through Lower was very easy. However, I'm not happy with the rates and terms because I didn't realize until the signing that the interest, as well as my mortgage payment every month, was going to be that high. We are struggling to meet that mortgage payment every time. Other than that, the lending processor, Kyle, was a wonderful man. He helped us every step of the way. During that process, I had to go into the hospital and he was very kind and understood that I couldn't get all the information that he needed right away. He said, "No problem."     The process with Lower was lengthy but reasonable. Our loan adviser did a great job. She explained everything and kept us up to date and well-informed. She was really responsive. Sometimes she would respond in the evenings or on the weekend. If, for some reason, she wasn't able to be as responsive, she communicated why that was the case. She was very gracious.     I tried to refinance with my mortgage company, and I expected a better rate, but they didn't give it to me. They didn't work with me, and Lower did. I applied and the process was easy. I spoke with a loan officer and we went back and forth. He came back with a better number than the one they gave me and we closed the deal, then I did a payment setup online. The only thing I can say about Lower is they sold my mortgage right away to another company. It's fine though.

    The loan officer with Lower was very knowledgeable, up-to-date with us, and worked with us as human beings and not as assets or resources. That was helpful. The whole experience was amazing. The only part I disliked was that our loan was immediately sold to two different other organizations before our first payment date. It was very confusing on who we were paying and when. I get that it's a business and they need to make money by selling off loans. However, I enjoyed my partnership with them and if my loan had stayed with them for the period of the loan or at least a good period of time, I would have considered other loans with them. But as soon as the contracts were signed, they sold off everything and dropped me as a customer. That's disappointing. Why build the entire relationship then walk away? It's not worth it. My recommended solution would be to at least hold an account for a year.
