Do not under any circumstances do business with this company, they are the worst dregs of humanity, preying on the desperate. Charging as much as 500% interest on their loans. The projected payout on a 3,000 dollar loan is over 12, 000 dollars by the time you pay it off. Their payment structure means that each payment you make 75-90% is interest only. This company practices legal loansharking and should be shut down.

Terrible. They are the worst. You never finish paying them off. Don't borrow nothing from them. I will never get another dime from them. I got a account with them in 2018 and they said that I still owe them now in 2021. They receives $490.00 a month from me. That's ridiculous and they don't care anything about the pandemic we going through.

I filed for bankruptcy last week and yesterday this company tried to put thru a payment and of course I was charged a $20 overdraft fee. In addition I informed them over 2 weeks ago I was closing my bank account via email and they chose to try and charge my account at least 3 times and I was charged $20 a pop. The bank will not let me close the account until this deficit is paid and do not think I am responsible for because Advance Financial did what they did. Would you want to do business with this company? I think not. Their customer service is horrible and obviously they feel they do not need to listen to their customers and just do whatever they want.

When you go to pay on your flex loan, you can say pay on principal but when you receive receipts, you may have paid $200 but $175 goes towards interest it shows and $19 goes towards loan. It is a problem, you will never get it paid off. It's a rip off. Praying that I'll be able to pay it off soon.

This company is the worse company I have ever borrowed money from. I was furloughed from my job. They were working with me making $50 payments every pay day. But then when I contacted them to start paying a little more toward my back payments doing a promise to pay on a current date they would proceed to take 241.06 on Aug 12 when I had agreed to pay on Aug 14th in the amount of $195.00. They put my account in the negative plus the bank charged me another $36.00 for insufficient funds.

When I called them about it they tried to say that there was never a promise made that a back payment in full was not going to be taken out. Which I had been promised by a rep telling me that the automatic thing had been placed on hold. Then on Aug 17th they took another $224.69 payment. They are a bunch of lying crooks and cold-hearted company who do not care at all that some folks are struggling which is not caused by something that they can control. I WOULD TELL PEOPLE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I wish I would have read the reviews before I took a loan out with these guys. They are absolutely terrible and cold hearted people. I ran into some financial difficulties, set up payment arrangements with them and made my payment on the day it was due like we agreed upon and 2 days later they withdrew an additional $675 that I did not even authorized.

I told them before not to use my debit account anymore, that I wanted to revoke it and they still did it anyways. I was withdrawn in my account because of it and then found out from my bank they try to even do an additional $750 an hour later but it did not go through 'cause I did not have the funds in there. Call the company and they gave me nothing but a run around and nothing they said made any sense. Would not refund my money but I filed a complaint with my bank. I am also going to contact the Better Business Bureau. If anyone else out there has any suggestions on what else we can do please let me know.

My wife and I decided to do this because we had an issue that had to be taken care of immediately and we were short of the funds needed. We have made every payment on time. However, the last 3 months have been nothing but interest payments. The principal has not gone down one penny. And we haven't touched the line of credit in months. This is how they get you. The first few payments, there is a reduction in principle. Then, the payments get closer together but no principal is paid, It is all interest.

If you are in a position where you can't get a bank loan, try other avenues. DO NOT use this company. We knew the interest was high, but didn't think we signed a lifetime payment plan, which is what this will be if you don't pay attention. Luckily, my wife watches every penny and every bill that has to be paid. And no, we aren't dead beats that don't pay our bills. We had a job loss and fell behind. But, we are getting back where we were. My wife has her sights on getting this paid and out of the way this month. Whatever you do, run as fast as you can away from this company.

If you're looking for a loan to help pay off debt or just to have some extra cash PLEASE do not use Advance Financial! I'm 23 and work in retail and only make $1,700 a month. AF sent me an offer for a line of credit for $2,100 and I accepted it because I was in need of some extra money. I ended up using the whole amount and could only pay the minimum $143 once a month, and the amount grew bigger each day.

When I was finally able to pay it off in full, I ended up paying almost $3,000! What I didn't know was only 10 maybe 20% of each payment went towards the line of credit. Also, the APR was 276%! It should be ILLEGAL for any loan company to have APRs that high! When I was reading through one of the statements, it said if I only paid the minimum amount, it would have taken me 16 years to pay it off. 16 YEARS!! That's outrageous! This company preys upon people who barely make enough money to make ends meet. I will NEVER use them again for ANYTHING. Please stay away from this company!

I was originally approved for $4,000 and used the entire amount. When I started making the astronomical payments, I almost had a stroke and immediately borrowed from my 401k to pay off the entire amount as I could not afford to make the outrageous bi-weekly payments. I swore to never use it again, but as I thought about it, I figured I would keep it for emergencies or occasionally, I just need to borrow about 500 before payday but I knew I had to pay off the entire amount as soon as I was paid or be trapped in the mountain of added interest.

So I started using it that way. I didn't use it every month, but I did use it maybe every other month, but made sure I paid it off by the next payday. I recently went to borrow $50 because I didn't want to go to the bank and was shocked to see they had lowered my credit line to $2,000. I realized then I am not the customer they want. They only want people who can't repay them immediately because they won't be able to charge their ripoff rates. Very disappointed. Can't win either way.

Like many others I borrowed money from this company and had been making payments for several months. I was easily making payments every 2 weeks and my account balance was showing to be slowly being paid off. Yes I did this knowing how high the interest was and that it was gonna take a while. However I noticed that many of my payments were not coming out of my bank account. When I called AF24/7 several times regarding this they told me "your account is paid and up to date, no worries Mr **" that is until Feb 28th of 2020 when I was hit 3 times for payments all posted dated going back as far as Dec 1st.

They took three additional payments after that for a total of 6 payments for over $1500.00. When I spoke with them and my bank at the same time it turned into a he said she said ordeal with me not getting any help. On top of this AF24/7 stated they saw no payments made on these days, even with screenshots and account statements sent in. They stated that this is a common "problem" and that it's the bank's fault. Then 3 days after the 6th payment came out they had the nerve to call me and say my account was 6 days past due? Sadly like many others I did not get any assistance with this matter and was left bankrupt and unable to pay my bills. Word of advice to anyone thinking of using this service. DON'T. But as for my Social Security, date of birth, mother's maiden name etc. etc. like normal and then on the next page it asked me for my bank details, my routing number and my credit card details -- special details but they would need basically to be you.

They also have the ability to ask you for your documents information for birth certificates etc... You’re literally giving these people the keys to the kingdom and you have no guarantee that you’re going to get a loan. You’re giving them all of your information. You don’t know who is going to Hoosies it or what they will do with it. If you went and got a bank loan for a house 4050 $60,000 they don’t ask you for this kind of information. The interest alone makes it difficult to repay the loan and what they apply to the principal is a joke. For instance if your payments are 400 they're only putting 50 of that towards your principal. For the amounts they have taken from me I would have paid off the loan months before but that’s not the case. Then they tell you to send in something else later so it can be reviewed. Mind you, I am a customer who had taken out a few loans with them in the past and never was late paying one time, and even paid all of my loans off early. This is the way they still treated me, so I will NEVER do business with them again. I actually never heard anything back from them after sending them all of the information they supposedly needed to update my account. All of this just over my phone number changing. I would advise anyone to stay FAR AWAY from them.

Also, like everyone else has said, unless you plan to pay the loan off within a week, you are really going to be spending a ton of money, and your loan will never be paid off just making the minimum payments every day due date. Me and my husband both have a flex loan from Advance Financial. I don't know why people are giving it a bad review. They are very friendly. Ask any questions you may have. It's not a credit check and they do not report to the credit bureau. It's a base on your income loan. Meaning it's based on what you make on your paychecks. The reason the payments go up it is because of a high interest rate but they tell you that in the beginning and to try and put more money onto the payment to lower it. It's even in the papers they give you. They don't try to hide anything. And you get a "line of credit" meaning once you make payments on your loan they give you a line of credit that you can take out but your payments will go up. You don't have to borrow the full amount just get what you need. So people may not fully understand how this works. But if you're in need of money quick this is the place to get it. Sometimes people need help.

I got a loan to help pay for a family vacation, work slowed down temporarily and I was unable to finish paying for the trip and didn't want to let my family down. I was told payments were $25. My 1st payment was. After that, without even adding to the amount I originally borrowed, the payments jumped to $173, twice a month. How is that even possible. I've been making biweekly payments for 4 months but the loan continues to increase rather than decrease. I owe hundreds more now, than I did before making any payments. I don't see how this loan will ever be able to be paid off, unless in full, in one payment. Also, today they posted a hold for a payment that isn't due for another week. This has caused other bills to not clear. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the way they do things.

Please don't fall prey to their various loan products. Especially title loans and Flex loans. They are loan sharks, financial predators who prey on people who are already struggling financially. 267% APR compounded daily! I don't understand how this type of predatory lending is legal. Contact your legislators and congressmen and demand that short term lenders be forced to charge reasonable interest and fees.

The parent company Harpeth Financial donated almost $160.000 to politicians who support their theft of if money from the financially challenged consumers they dupe into their using their absurdly expensive credit products. This type of business makes it easy to get several hundred to several thousand dollars then unless you can pay it back in 30 days you are trapped paying a debt That's almost impossible to pay off. Out of a $100 payment on a $1500 loan $87 goes to fees and interest and only $13 to principal. At that rate it will take years and thousands of dollars to pay off your loan. Notice how most of their positive reviews are by people who haven't submitted any other reviews on Google? It's because many are fake or their employees! DON'T DO IT!

I had set up a payment arrangement for the 15th, however, when I checked my bank account today the transaction is showing pending, which will now cause my mortgage and water bill to bounce. These people do not care to honor what they have set up in the system. Now, I will be facing losing my home because of these people. I spent well over 2 hours speaking with different people within this organization and no one could help me. I have now had to work with my bank who I have been with for 15 years and my mortgage company because this company did not provide me with enough information. I plan to spend every penny I can paying them off and in the meantime explaining to the consumer what bad practices they have. Ok, first things first, I went to Advance Financial and got a flex loan approved for $2,400. I asked the gentleman behind the counter what my payments will be each month because I'm disabled and have a very limited income. The gentleman told me that my payments will be $290 a month, so I told him that's not a problem, so I went ahead with the loan. My first payment was the quoted $290, so no problem. I then get an email that my next payment is $604, I about had a heart attack!! I promptly called and the first two people hung up on me, and I was very polite!

I then called and asked for a manager, and they only gave me a runaround. I told the woman that if I was told from the beginning that my payments would damn near triple I wouldn't of gone through with this loan. They told me from the beginning that my payments were going to be $290. So they need to live up to what they tell people. As it is now, I can't afford to pay any of my other bills nor can I even afford to buy food or pay my electric bill. They should be ashamed of themselves for lying and taking advantage of people as they've done to myself and many others.

We used maybe $800 was going in paying then they started pulling out our account. We kept calling to tell them we already paid. They told us there was no note that needed to be put on for them to not auto draft from account.

I then finally ask what was the payoff to leave us and our bank account alone. He told me $1800. I said how when we been paying basically double every week and his line of credit was only $1000. He said only like $15 dollars of the $200 payment was going to the balance of the loan due to interest rate which was like 200% every day we stopped paying. When we started struggling so bad ended up getting sued then started garnishment not on his check but instead froze our bank account that any and all funds that went in account was took until paid in full. No one at the bank or us has ever heard of a garnishment on a checking account. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST!!

In a nutshell, approved for $2200 line of credit last March and have borrowed about 1600. They've been taking 260.00 every 2 weeks from our account since July, prior to that about 75 to 100 every 2 weeks. In all, we have paid over 2,200 on a 1600 loan. The kicker - our balance (they say) is 1900. What comes to my mind are the thousands of hard working people this company has ruined financially - at least for a period of time. The majority, if not all, of these people probably wouldn't have borrowed from this crooked, thieving company unless it was important. You know, like keeping a roof over their kids' head and food in their stomachs. Or repairing their car so they could get to work. Whatever the reason, everyone is already strapped financially and in the whole when they borrow - the company knows that. If a person borrows 1,600, I doubt they have 3x or 4x that amount to pay back.

Seemed harmless enough, I borrowed a small amount at first, but found that the minimum payments were biweekly and quite high, so I had to borrow more to cover my bills due to the large payment here. It snowballed. With a 279% APR, it’s incredibly difficult to pay back. My biweekly MINIMUM payments skyrocketed to $454 bucks every two weeks! I was finally able to pay off a large chunk of $2800 off the principal, and felt like I would finally get out from underneath this crippling debt...only to find out that my payment 2 weeks from tomorrow is STILL gonna be $408.34 (and that’s with only about $850 left on my principal balance). My payoff right now is still $1600- NEVER AGAIN will I do business with this CROOKED organization.

I wanted to write this review in hopes to help someone to understand the fine print before they think a loan from AF is a good thing for them. I started with a loan of only $500. Got into a bind in life like everyone else. But felt the payment would be manageable to get back on my feet. First thing you have to understand is the more you borrow the more your monthly payment will be no matter what the beginning payment was. It WILL increase. If you make your payments on time they will increase your credit line (I went from $500 to $1400). And when the payment went from $126 to $424 overnight and making that payment only putting $100 towards the loan. It's not worth it. Do not borrow any more if you want your payment to stay the same. Also in their fine print they have it that once you link your account and a payment is missed they will pull it from your account.

The auto-enroll button on the site means nothing. They will still pull your account. Also they will call you everyday with different numbers to get that missed payment. The increase in the monthly payment and the high interest is not worth it if you just trying to get back on your feet. It will bury you further in debt very quickly. Also they do not accept American Express or any other payment option that does not link to your bank account. They also have issues reporting the correct amount you have borrowed and your credit line. So if you looking for a loan you can pay off in a month fully plus interest then this is for you. If you need more time, well choose another company. I hope this help someone before they decide.

I live in the Los Angeles area -- had no problems applying for a line of credit. I called customer service to clarify a few points that were not clear. They charge $0.77 per hundred dollars per day. For a $300 loan, I will pay interest of $2.31/day or $16.17/week. They have a very liberal 60 day period before the first payment is due. Warning!! At $2.31/ day for 61 days (30 day month #1 & a 31 day month #2) the amount owed will be $300 + $140.91 interest or $440.91. Your payment will only be $76. See how easy it is to get in over your head. All this is explained, either on the site or in the loan docs. It is not fair to claim that you did not know the conditions of the loan. Every loan available today for people with poor credit are exactly the same conditions. This is why they are called "High Interest" loans.

As for multiple payments being taken from your checking account -- that will happen if you have missed multiple payments. That is also explained in the loan docs and signed by you. Easy enough to stop it - call your bank and place a stop payment on the company. Cost you $30. I suggest you only pull small loans and pay them back ASAP. In comparison -- if you go to Speedy Cash and take out a $255, the payback is $300 in 31 days. That calculates to $1.45 per day interest X 31 days = $44.95 interest + $255 principal = $299.95. You go to Advance Financial and borrow $255 - you are paying $1.925 interest X 31 days = $59.68 + $255 = $314.68.

If you ever miss a payment, it's game over. You might as well close your bank account. In the loan agreement it states they can debit your account repeatedly to recover missed payments. "You authorize us to re-initiate any debit entry additional times for the same amount if the debit entry is dishonored." I missed just one payment. So, they started debiting my account repeatedly.

As of now, my bank is -$695.79. They'll try their best to catch you on a payday. Thankfully, I had another bank account. I basically abandoned the account & started using my other. (Always have a backup account) I started out with a $400 loan & now have an outstanding balance with them of $1,165.95. Don't ever borrow from these people for any amount. I currently bring home 750 a week and if a bill is due before I get paid I will use money from my AF247 account which is instantly transferred to my bank via my debit card. When I get paid at work I use the same credit card to pay them back and never have paid any interest for using the money responsibly. If you borrow money and only pay back the monthly minimum you will pay high interest for the money.

Make sure you read the terms and even if you're approved do not use more than you can pay back within 1 or 2 paydays. I read through the negative reviews on here and laugh because you borrow the money and complain because you pay minimum payments and the interest is a lot. Then you leave negative feedback. There is a reason your credit sucks and you have to get a payday-style loan. AF247 is a great tool to help you pay bills on time but don't borrow anything if you can't pay it back within the grace period.

Employee asked me what kind of check it was. I stated it was a Class Action Lawsuit “SETTLEMENT” check... remember she asked me! She called over her co-worker to get her advice on how to “categorize“ the check and then she scanned it and sent it to the “historical Wedgewood” for verification. Process complete (I’m at this point standing at the window). She opens her drawer and tells me it was a $5.00 fee for cashing this $28.00 check (charged 17.9%) and proceeds to hand me $23.00!

I get to thinking about it and based on this businesses fee schedule this very easily could have been charged a percentage (%1-6) instead of the maximum $5.00 fee on a small $28.00 check... When I questioned her about the high charge to cash this check she told me that she had nothing to do with that and the verification process determines the fee. REMEMBER she asked me what type of check it was! So DON’T try to tell me that this employee had absolutely no input to determine the fees and lead someone to believe that this businesses call center dictates fees!

How does a company RETAIN customers for any longer past their initial visit with such a high fee on a meager 28.00 check that could have been charged 1-6% vs. 17.9%? BEWARE! In closing I looked up AF website under job openings and their CUSTOMER RETENTION SPECIALIST’s job description is basically to contact customers with friendly payment reminders and assistance in making their payments... I DIED LAUGHING! What exactly does that have to do with “RETENTION”? Has more to do with ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT/COLLECTIONS.

Thought I was getting a loan, with easy payments, instead I got a loan that just keeps going up with fees, charges. Can't pay 800 dollars every two weeks, they won't change the payments. Advance Financial does nothing but put you back in debt. They overdrafted my bank account several times costing me more money. They constantly call and harass you from 6 different numbers. Pathetic crooked organization.

Everything was awesome. The man that helped me was very nice and patient with me. I would recommend a friend if they need some extra funds to get them through. It was nice that your company is open 24/7 and I did not have to wait for a certain time to stop in.

Got approved for 2730.00 with easy payback options. Definitely coming back here to do business again. My money was in my account the next day! Better than a payday loan because you don't have to pay anything back right away. You just pay for how long you keep the money.

I applied and was only approved for 100$ because the person only put in I had a savings account when I had both checking and savings. I was only approved for this amount due to error on y'all part. I very unhappy with this decision. I called and was told even with it being your fault I still get penalized and it's not right at all.

I appreciate your respectful and very professional attitude while doing business with your office. I have never been so impressed with the process and time it takes to get approved for a loan as I was with Advance Financial.

Other than the rates being HIGH, they appear to be a great company. I know, I know, that they say the rates are high and should be used for the very short term, but... was able to do it all online which is easy. If you are looking for money fast and can pay off fast, this would be your company.

I had my loan done at the Bristol, TN location on West State Street. The lady who took care of me was named Jenna. She was very professional and courteous. She made sure to explain each step of the loan process in detail. She made sure I was comfortable with the loan amount and payment amount before I signed for the loan. She did an excellent job.

Monique was very professional, courteous, friendly, informative, and 100% honest. She explained all costs and fees and explained all terms of the loan. She didn't hide anything from me, and we both found an acceptable loan amount and affordable payment. She was an excellent customer service loan representative for Advance Financial. The transaction took quite an extended time, more than I anticipated, due to technical issues, but she was very respectful in keeping me informed of my wait time during the process. Great first-time flex loan experience.
