The experience was good, until they stopped lending in Virginia. I began noticing that my balance was not going down and realized that I was paying over $50-60 a month and only $1 of this was going towards the balance due, with the rest going to interest. No one warned me of this and I attempted to communicate with them and was ignored, until waited on the phone for 20 minutes to discuss it. I was told "there was nothing they can do". I emailed and was given a canned message. Basically, since last year - they have been doing this. Be careful if you borrow from them and then your state is no longer on their list for credit.

I would not recommend going to Advance Financial or any other company under Harpeth Financial Services (owner of Advance Financial). I originally took out a FLEX Loan through them back in November of 2021 right before Covid-19 hit me the hardest and caused me to fall behind on many bills. When I got sick with Covid and tested positive for it in December right before Christmas I called and talked to them then about working with me and they agreed to do so which I thought was great, but then it slowly went down hill from there again as I had even more problems with my vehicle due to a shady mechanic screwing me over and taking my money and it made it difficult to get to work.

This time they seemed to not be so agreeable as they wanted me to pay what I couldn't afford for a few months as I tried to fix my vehicle so I could get to work. I told them in June this year I had no other alternative to get to work but they didn't care so I told them when I'd start to make payments again of at least $140 every 2 weeks wouldn't be until the end of October 2022. Then in September I received a summons from a Sherriff's department officer for a court date from a lawyer office that was also a debt collector. So I wouldn't get any loan from them at all if you can avoid it. They won't work with you when you fall on hard times and the APR is 279.50% which is not worth it at all. If you need extra money for whatever reason please find other means to get it that won't end up with you having to pay astronomically back.

I have had a loan with Advance Financial since March 2021. I have always made my payments on time. Yet, my balance increases and the payment never goes towards the principal. Over 1 year of payments and not one penny has gone towards the principal. I pay over $1000 per month for a $4000 loan and with each statement the balance increases. Even if it is a few dollars a statement, shouldn't a consumer see the balance decrease?

I think I purchased a money order from Advance Financial in May of 2022 from the first to the fifth for $579. I would have paid rent for it. I got a letter from my landlord stating rent wasn't paid for May. I went to advance financial to track the money order (I lost the receipt) and they refused. I always purchase money orders from them (June and April and numerous before) but they could not find May. They refused to cooperate. My lawyer wrote them a letter. I went back and they somewhat cooperated. They couldn't find one for May. I think they were irritated by the attorney's letter. I asked for a print out of this information and they refused. Read this and come to your own conclusion.

Advance Financial it's not authentic. They have a list that qualifies you for a loan. They do not use that as the standard. They have someone who works in underwriting that decides whether or not you qualify and you have no reason why you're denied even when you provide all your banking information and some parts of the website says no credit check so please this is not a good loan company. Just a way to tank your credit score.

The person on the phone asked me to verify my information, gave them Name, Rank, and Serial Number. The same information that was used to open the account and keep it open. The same information that was used every month when they took out the payments.

Since I was trying to pay off the $1245 loan with interest, a total of $1697, they couldn't VERIFY my information. I asked the young lady what was the PROBLEM, It's the same information that was used every month when they took out the payment. She kept saying she was SORRY. So after hearing her saying this over and over, that she was SORRY, I HUNG UP. I went to the website, put in my information, and paid them off. The Customer Service is Pi** POOR, especially if you are trying to CLOSE your account. My account is Closed, I don't think Customer Service was not HAPPY.

Do not under any circumstances do business with this company, they are the worst dregs of humanity, preying on the desperate. Charging as much as 500% interest on their loans. The projected payout on a 3,000 dollar loan is over 12, 000 dollars by the time you pay it off. Their payment structure means that each payment you make 75-90% is interest only. This company practices legal loansharking and should be shut down.

I filed for bankruptcy last week and yesterday this company tried to put thru a payment and of course I was charged a $20 overdraft fee. In addition I informed them over 2 weeks ago I was closing my bank account via email and they chose to try and charge my account at least 3 times and I was charged $20 a pop. The bank will not let me close the account until this deficit is paid and do not think I am responsible for because Advance Financial did what they did. Would you want to do business with this company? I think not. Their customer service is horrible and obviously they feel they do not need to listen to their customers and just do whatever they want.

It is a problem, you will never get it paid off. It's a rip off. Praying that I'll be able to pay it off soon.

This company is the worse company I have ever borrowed money from. I was furloughed from my job. They were working with me making $50 payments every pay day. But then when I contacted them to start paying a little more toward my back payments doing a promise to pay on a current date they would proceed to take 241.06 on Aug 12 when I had agreed to pay on Aug 14th in the amount of $195.00. They put my account in the negative plus the bank charged me another $36.00 for insufficient funds.

When I called them about it they tried to say that there was never a promise made that a back payment in full was not going to be taken out. Which I had been promised by a rep telling me that the automatic thing had been placed on hold. Then on Aug 17th they took another $224.69 payment. They are a bunch of lying crooks and cold-hearted company who do not care at all that some folks are struggling which is not caused by something that they can control. I ran into some financial difficulties, set up payment arrangements with them and made my payment on the day it was due like we agreed upon and 2 days later they withdrew an additional $675 that I did not even authorized.

I told them before not to use my debit account anymore, that I wanted to revoke it and they still did it anyways. I was withdrawn in my account because of it and then found out from my bank they try to even do an additional $750 an hour later but it did not go through 'cause I did not have the funds in there. Call the company and they gave me nothing but a run around and nothing they said made any sense. Would not refund my money but I filed a complaint with my bank. I am also going to contact the Better Business Bureau. If anyone else out there has any suggestions on what else we can do please let me know.

My wife and I decided to do this because we had an issue that had to be taken care of immediately and we were short of the funds needed. We have made every payment on time. However, the last 3 months have been nothing but interest payments. The principal has not gone down one penny. And we haven't touched the line of credit in months. This is how they get you. The first few payments, there is a reduction in principle. Then, the payments get closer together but no principal is paid, It is all interest.

If you are in a position where you can't get a bank loan, try other avenues. DO NOT use this company. We knew the interest was high, but didn't think we signed a lifetime payment plan, which is what this will be if you don't pay attention. Luckily, my wife watches every penny and every bill that has to be paid. And no, we aren't dead beats that don't pay our bills. We had a job loss and fell behind. But, we are getting back where we were. My wife has her sights on getting this paid and out of the way this month. Whatever you do, run as fast as you can away from this company.

AF sent me an offer for a line of credit for $2,100 and I accepted it because I was in need of some extra money. I ended up using the whole amount and could only pay the minimum $143 once a month, and the amount grew bigger each day.

When I was finally able to pay it off in full, I ended up paying almost $3,000! What I didn't know was only 10 maybe 20% of each payment went towards the line of credit. Also, the APR was 276%! It should be ILLEGAL for any loan company to have APRs that high! When I was reading through one of the statements, it said if I only paid the minimum amount, it would have taken me 16 years to pay it off. 16 YEARS!! That's outrageous! This company preys upon people who barely make enough money to make ends meet. I will NEVER use them again for ANYTHING. Please stay away from this company!

I was originally approved for $4,000 and used the entire amount. When I started making the astronomical payments, I almost had a stroke and immediately borrowed from my 401k to pay off the entire amount as I could not afford to make the outrageous bi-weekly payments. I swore to never use it again, but as I thought about it, I figured I would keep it for emergencies or occasionally, I just need to borrow about 500 before payday but I knew I had to pay off the entire amount as soon as I was paid or be trapped in the mountain of added interest.

So I started using it that way. I didn't use it every month, but I did use it maybe every other month, but made sure I paid it off by the next payday. I recently went to borrow $50 because I didn't want to go to the bank and was shocked to see they had lowered my credit line to $2,000. I realized then I am not the customer they want. They only want people who can't repay them immediately because they won't be able to charge their ripoff rates. Very disappointed. Can't win either way.

Like many others I borrowed money from this company and had been making payments for several months. I was easily making payments every 2 weeks and my account balance was showing to be slowly being paid off. Yes I did this knowing how high the interest was and that it was gonna take a while. However I noticed that many of my payments were not coming out of my bank account. When I called AF24/7 several times regarding this they told me "your account is paid and up to date, no worries Mr **" that is until Feb 28th of 2020 when I was hit 3 times for payments all posted dated going back as far as Dec 1st.

They took three additional payments after that for a total of 6 payments for over $1500.00. When I spoke with them and my bank at the same time it turned into a he said she said ordeal with me not getting any help. On top of this AF24/7 stated they saw no payments made on these days, even with screenshots and account statements sent in. They stated that this is a common "problem" and that it's the bank's fault. Then 3 days after the 6th payment came out they had the nerve to call me and say my account was 6 days past due? Sadly like many others I did not get any assistance with this matter and was left bankrupt and unable to pay my bills. Word of advice to anyone thinking of using this service. DON'T. Find anything better.
