There's always a con game with this company. First it was East 23rd Street in Manhattan. Then it was East 14th Street in Manhattan. The 14th Street location was under another name. I would never have wasted my time to go otherwise. They have a problem with my color contacts prescription, and using my insurance. I have worn these for 30 years. Now it's suddenly a problem? There's always a con game to get more money out of you or tell you you're not entitled under insurance. I can see clear contacts. I don't know if they're in or out. Lol.

Omg, I don’t know where to start… I’ve been going to Cohens Optical, located at 3416 Jerome Avenue, Bronx, NY 10467 for many years. I am a Correction Officer, and this location is convenient for me to use the union/prescription voucher. On September 06, 2024, I went to get my glasses adjusted, because they were sliding down from my face.
The manager, took my frames in good faith to adjust the arms. However, one of the arms broke after adjusting them. No problem, she ordered a similar frame. I paid for the lens which cost me $215. I had to use my glasses, with the broken arm, until my replacement... I was also told that I was eligible for my annual exam for a new prescription.
Using my voucher I was given a discount using my own frames. I was confident with the previous services they have provided. I ended up paying an additional $580 using my voucher, and for the purchase of lens, using my own frames... It took over 2 months, and I ended up using my last year's prescription, because in the new prescription, I could NOT see. Each time the glasses came back from the lab, it was drastically different from what the doctor prescribed. It is now November 11, and I went to try on the last NEW frames she ordered for me, on September 06…unbelievable. The arms were so stretched out that it was unable to stay on my face.
Additionally, the lens were too thick for the thin lens I purchased. The manager started debating with me and stated that the lens were thick because of my prescription, and that the frames were already sent back, which was also untrue. I’ve been wearing glasses my entire life. She brushed me off, saying that she was going to call the lab when she was available. I am still waiting for the frames, that she replaced. Not only is this frustrating, but a waste of my gas and time traveling back and forth. The manager was unprofessional, overwhelmed, and treated me unfairly. I would NOT go back or recommend anyone there.

Based on The advertising on the window saying that they took my insurance did a walk-in appointment and was told that my insurance was not accepted. Long story short I contacted my insurance company. They spoke with them directly. I had my prescription filled a new pair. Sometime later I was told that my prescription was too old and I needed, a new one. I had the doctor's visit and placed the order for the new frames with the prescription after several weeks. I kept going into the store inquiring about my prescription glasses. When I receive them my head was hurting when I tried to use them and the store employee told me that they’re not going to change it, and if I wanted it redone, I would have to pay again. I
am stuck with glasses that I cannot use and insurance will not pay for another pair before two years. The photo is included of the work. I left realizing that they did not want my business and they did not want to serve me, this is the area Of Times Square. A very commercial area. They did not want Want my business from the very beginning nor did they look kindly on my insurance even though they said they took it. Please look at where the bifocal is in the frame. That is very unprofessional work and I cannot walk Without falling or keep them on too long without a headache. The insurance company and I were robbed.

I have been going to Cohen's and Dr. ** at Treasure Coast Mall since the 1990's and had never had a problem! Excellent service, rapid completion of glasses and Dr. ** is one of the hardest working most capable professionals around. As I understand it, Dr. ** and his loyal crew had a justifiable altercation with the Cohen's Corporate brand and chose to disassociate themselves and move to St. Lucie West. The removal of the 'Cohen's' portion of their outside signage rather backs this up. During that rocky time as well, Dr. ** had an unfortunate series of serious health issues. Recently, like many people without being aware of these changes, I had to wait months for my glasses to be ready. Three months later and after numerous visits to their new SLW location, the extremely capable Mrs. ** took over my situation and within a week I had my glasses and Mrs. ** even generously reduced the price!!
They had been in the process of hiring new local American (the old Cohen's brand sends out to China!) prescription eyeglass providers, the reasoning behind the exceptionally long waiting time. The **'s had started out at this new location with an overload of difficulties and now seem to have worked through the worst and are back on track with their previously acclaimed first-rate service. I will be back! I recommend that those who have been satisfied with the old Cohen's at the Mall to please give them at their new SLW location another chance.

Would give no stars if I could. As many other reviewers stated, they are only interested in selling you the most expensive product and then charging your insurance company of something else, to maximize their benefits. They will not clearly state your options, or show you the different cost of what lens upgrade. They will do their calculation on post-it and even on your receipt there will be no breakdown of what they charged you for, just the total amount. That is to make sure you don't know what the lines are that they charged to your insurance company. They will make sure that you get the glasses with everything, for which you just get the 20% discount from the insurance. When I looked at my Explanation of Benefits for the claim from Cohen, they had itemized the lenses in a totally different way and being able to claim more from the insurance than the 20% deduction that I received.
They will also do a bait and switch on you with your insurance for the exam of the optometrist. The routine eye exam that is included in your eye insurance package for which you paid the 10 dollar co-pay will not be charged, but they will try to make the routine examination a medical exam by trying to get all different scans and then claiming to your normal insurance, as they provide a much higher reimbursement. No wonder that our insurance premiums are going up with all these insurance scams.

Front desk Daly was very professional. She explained to me what I was eligible for before stepping foot into the exam rooms. The tech Alaysia made sure the machines were cleaned properly. She explained to me what each machine was for, as I went through the pre examinations. I was comfortable here. Dr. ** was one of the best eye doctors that I have dealt with in some time, very knowledgeable. Mary and Irene normally help me with picking out my glasses and even though they were busy, they still came to check in and make sure I would be happy with my choices. Dee and Madeline assisted me in choosing my eyeglasses this time and they were amazing.

If you need eyeglasses or contact lenses, there are many choices here on the Treasure Coast. There are the “Big Box,” members only stores, there are the Corporate Chain Stores with wall after wall of glasses frames on display, and there are expensive, “Boutique Offices” that are a watered down version of the big chains that advertise on TV. They all try to “lure you in” to their store by offering “Free Vision Exams” or “2 for 1” glasses and they all have one thing in common; their business model and primary reason for opening their doors is to sell you a pair of glasses or contact lenses and they only perform a cursory “Vision Exam”. So, if you are interested in getting a “Vision Test” and a pair of glasses, you have many vendors from which to choose.
I wanted more than merely a vision test, more than what only meets the minimal requirements necessary to sell me a pair of glasses. If you are like me and are interested in getting a thorough Medical Eye Healthcare Exam, our choice is much more limited. You see, Chain Store Vision Centers hire “employees” to conduct a superficial “vision test,” that's just enough to meet minimal standards to sell a pair of glasses. They are Corporate Employees who are only working for a paycheck. They have no ownership interest in the practice. The Optometrist has no patients of their own, as the “patient” is the “customer” of the Corporate Chain. So, if you want to be merely a customer, and if you only want a vision test, go to one of the Big Box or Corporate Chain Stores.
And do not think that a Vision Test” is the same as a comprehensive Eye Exam. They are not. A Vision test is performed to help the provider sell you a pair of glasses. The purpose of a comprehensive Eye Exam is to determine the health of your eyes; all the different parts of your entire eye system. As I said, I wanted more. Getting up in years, I wanted a professional, comprehensive, medical eye healthcare examination, not just for my Vision needs, but for the “health” of my entire, complicated, eye system. I checked out different eye care practitioners looking for an affordable, local, highly competent Optometrist in whom I could trust the care of my eyes. That is why I became a “Patient” at the Durante Family Eye Healthcare Center at Cohen Optical.
I started out years ago at the Jensen Beach, Treasure Coast Mall location and now, for the last 2 years, I have been going to the newly opened, ultra modern, Port St. Lucie West office. It’s also closer to me. Dr. **, Sr., OD, who still heads up the Jensen Beach office, has been in practice as a Board Certified primary eye care doctor for over 43 years. His son, Dr. Daniel **, OD and nephew Dr. Justin **, OD, both Board Certified, staff the St. Lucie West office. They are not Corporate employees. Their Cohen Optical locations are Doctor owned, Family owned and operated, eye care centers. As their patient they have a personal interest in me and my health. I am their “patient” not a “customer” of a Corporate entity.
I trust these doctors to look out for all my eye healthcare concerns. Together, these medical professionals and their courteous and highly trained staff, perform comprehensive eye care services not only to correct my vision but, with the use of their state of the art technology, they provide me with a full, in depth examination in order to afford me early diagnosis of any eye infection, disorder or disease, and if necessary, to provide any necessary treatment. Oh yeah, also a Rx for my glasses.
I recently needed to consider the use of specialty contact lenses. These Specialty Lenses can cost over $1500 for each lens and you won’t find healthcare providers at the Big Box or Chain stores that are trained and Board Certified in the fitting and care of these specialty lenses. At Cohen Optical there is Deborah **, Board Certified Optician whose specialty is the care and fitting of these Speciality Contact lenses. Deborah is a highly trained, competent and knowledgeable Optician, with a compassion for her patients that is hard to find these days. All the Doctors and eye care professionals at the ** Family Eye Care Centers of Cohen Optical will never “rush you through” an appointment to get to the next sale, the next customer. They treat you like the medical patient that you are and they take all the time necessary to explain to you, your individual eye health in a way that you can fully understand.
No big medical terms used simply to impress but down to earth, great quality medical care for your eyes, by highly trained eye care professionals who care about you. I only have one pair of eyes and I want to do all that I can to preserve my eye health and my vision. That is why I will continue to entrust the Doctors of the ** Family Eye Care practice to look after my eye healthcare. Obviously, I highly recommend them.

I stopped by the Cohen's Optical where I am a patient in the Southport Shopping Center in Shirley. I had my mother in law's glasses which needed to be fixed. My mother-in-law resides in a nursing home and for over a month they have told me they were fixing. I finally had enough and put the old glasses on her and brought these in to see what they could do. Well Tina and Julie were so helpful and understanding of my situation and not only fixed but replaced the lenses in a new frame at no charge!! With all that is going on in this world today it is so nice to know people still care and understand. Thank you again Tina and Julie and a big thanks from my mother-in-law for the new pair! Went to Cohen Riverhead in March and had 2 insurance plans to use. I paid over $1000 out of pocket and only today discovered they billed me the whole cost up front. Today, August, I learned they filed a claim with one of my carriers for triple the original cost. The claim got denied. As of 2 weeks ago they had not filed with my second carrier but I'm going to recheck. With the double billing they are charging $1000 for frames that sell everywhere else for $250. I paid $425 out of pocket for the frames and they filed for another $600 from my insurance. $425 was the sticker price and I paid that upfront- before my insurance- again $200 more than everyone else sells the frame for.
My first thought was they didnt get paid - serves them right- but then I looked at my bill and realized they collected upfront, from me. I think filing a reimbursement claim for services already paid is insurance fraud!! Both of my insurance plans were verified before my exam so we knew I had frames, exam, lens benefits. I thought my portion of $1000 was high but trusted I was only paying the net amount after insurance. I was wrong. On top of that the prescription has never been right. Shame on them!!!

Bought a pair of transition lenses with UV coating less than 2 years ago. Now coating is deteriorating on both lenses on the inside of the lenses. Brought back to the store to fix. They said, "You’ll just have to be a new pair of glasses and frames (over $600)." The manager was huffy. I had this issue with another company and they fixed it for free. Avoid this company if you expect service. I’ll find another company.

These people are straight up trying to rob people. I came to this establishment in good faith thinking I wasn't going to be ripped off. I mainly came here for an eye exam and ended up getting the pair of glasses that I wanted since I was there. Now I'll start by saying that I have a pair of glasses with transition brand photochromic tech which is what turns the lenses dark when exposed to UV. So not only did I understand the superiority of that brand compared to others including generic ones but I know the length they go to by showing the authentication of the lenses as well. Well long story short I end up spending $722 with my Amex CC for all the works it including Transition XTRActive which work inside vehicles with one of the reasons I wanted them in the first place. (Mind you I have insurance so I don't know how it was that price but regardless I was willing to pay since I'll get what I wanted.)
So I get a call the 11th that the glasses are ready, I then go the next day and pick them up in my vehicle. I get in the store and I'm given the glasses in the case with the original sunglasses lens as well since I got the Clubmasters RayBan. Now since I was Parked in the bus lane I went in and out and forgot to get an itemized recipe and a Certificate of authentication that you would get when you buy an authentic Transition Lenses. Everything looked great at first but then as I'm driving away I'm in my vehicle while the sun is out and nothing is happening to the lenses. When I get home as I'm outside I put the glasses in direct sunlight and the lines barely had a tint (first red flag). I then call the store and explain that I left in a hurry and forgot to get the receipt and the authentication card so I could register the lenses with transition for the warranty. They said they will email it but never did (2nd red flag).
By this time I have seen video comparisons on transition vs generic ones and the one I had was acting like a generic one. So, I go the next day around the time they open and got the itemized receipt which had transitions as one of the items but didn't say which one. I also ask for the certificate and she doesn't even know what I'm talking about (3rd fed flag). I then tell her that I have transition lenses and that they even though they are 4yrs old work better in the sun than the new ones. She tried to brush it off by saying that there is a 1 week curing period (4th red flag) which there is not such thing.
After trying to give all the excuses to take them as is I see that there a transition lenses branded UV light. So I tell her to test the lenses there. She puts them under the light till it shuts off and just like it happened to me at home with the sunlight it barely got a tint. I then showed her the video I saw for comparison. She quickly went to the conclusion that the lenses were defective.
I left the glasses and waiting for the manager to give me a call which took her 4 hr to do. Which buy this time I've already called my CC to have them charge back the transaction. The manager tried telling me that I signed knowing that they don't do returns only store credit and I was like "OK, well you have to deal with my CC" (which AMEX is awesome in dealing with this type of **). I got my money back the very same day when I called Amex and explained them the situation.
In my opinion I feel these guys are not only charging insane amounts of money for "Transition lenses" but they are giving you Generic brands on top of that. I ended up going to Lenscrafters which actually own Rayban/Transition Lenses and got everything I wanted for $287. If you got this far I hope this is a deterrent for you in doing business with these people. Thanks for reading.

Cohen's Optical has many locations. The Walt Whitman Mall Optical had a extremely highly energetic expert that assisted me her skills in knowing what frames fit my personality, shape of my face and price. Elita is the one to take you from start to finish in complete start to finish. Elita went the extra mile, literally and met me at their Commack store for an in person state of the art vision test since one was not available that day in the Walt Whitman Store. I really was taken aback and asked Elita "are you for real." She is exceptional! So after looking at other Optical centers I highly recommend Cohen's Optical for Elita will fit your personal needs. I even purchased a second pair. You will not be disappointed. I am very delighted to have met Elita. She is an asset to Cohen's and her clients!

I hate the fact that my optical insurance is only accepted at Cohen’s fashion optical. I have been to the Patchogue store 6 times over the last year. The staff especially the optician are rude. My Daughter 13 year old needed new glasses for distance. We were talked into progressives as they will help her see the board in school. I also ordered a regular pair of distance only glasses for her. I was told that if the progressives didn’t work out I can return them and they would put single vision lenses in them. They neglected to mention paying more money. With my insurance I spent $500 on both pairs. The progressives made her dizzy and gave her headaches. When I tried to return them after a week I was told I would have to pay for new lenses. We left with a useless pair of glasses as I refused to pay more.
A month later her regular pair started to come apart and bend. The optician refused to fix them and tried to get me to buy a new pair. I then took out the progressives and asked him to switch the lenses (same frame different color). He swore they would not fit and again tried to sell another frame. I went to Visionworks (where we went for years) and they switched them for free as they remembered us. I just went today to get mine adjusted and again this rude optician refused and claimed I needed to buy new frames. I just bought these in January and they didn’t even last 6 months. Run from this store as I will be canceling my insurance and never go back there again.

On top that, the eye doctor is just sanitizing the surfaces he is using and touching, however I didn't seen him cleaning/wiping the other side of the equipment where patients sits and put our face for eye testing. At least he didn't gave me a wipe to clean up myself.

I opted to utilize Cohen's Fashion Optical in Jensen Beach, FL based upon price point. I was looking for an exam and replacement of progressive polycarbonate lenses in my frames. A complete pair of progressive frames and lenses including the exam was advertised at $60.00. It was a bait and switch. My exam and lenses cost $170.00. I was offered an appointment for 3pm the following day to have my exam. I arrived 15 minutes early but waited 90 minutes past the appointment time to be seen for the exam. I had to wait another 30 minutes after that to be told that the lenses would be ordered immediately and that when they arrived I could expect to deliver my frames and wait approximately 2 hours for the new lenses to be cut.
Yesterday I received a call stating that the lenses had arrived. I was given the hours and days that the work could be performed. I was also told to expect a one hour wait time to have the new lenses fitted to my frames. Today I arrived at opening to have the work completed. I had to wait 15 minutes just to hand my glasses to the employee. That employee informed me that there would be a three hour wait. Three hours later I did receive my glasses and they are performing as expected.
Overall this was a terrible experience. There was minimal seating and the facility was overcrowded making social distancing impossible. The staff was overall very nice and accommodating however there was one middle aged man with a crew cut who was gruff and very unpleasant. It was obvious that he wanted to be anywhere but at work and was not shy about taking it out on the customers. Their system of managing the flow of the work seemed to be adequate. The volume of staffing was completely inadequate to keep up with the system.

I rate them a 1 star in customer service. This Cohen's ended up charging me because they failed to check my insurance. They erroneously told me my insurance would reimburse me "not to worry". Adding insult to injury when I found out my insurance does not reimburse, they refused to work with my insurance and offer a refund so the Insurance could pay. Also, initially they seemed careful in allowing customers in, later I could barely keep my 6ft distance from other customers.

Nice doctor and staff. Pretty frames. ZERO quality. Their glasses are the worst quality I ever had; from the beginning the little screws often came off, the temples had to be put in shape all the time, and finally one temple broke off. When I took them back Cohen's said their glasses had no warranty and suggested I must have sat on them because the unbroken temple was crooked. They proposed that I buy the same frame again. I feel ripped off. The "made in China" $5 emergency glasses I bought four months ago are still in shape. Cohen's glasses are a 50 cents value.

The first reason to avoid Shirley Cohen's is that they allow customers to wear their frames for 6 months or more than allow them to bring them back. They then put Plano lenses in them and sell them as new. Also all of their frames are discontinued. And they sell them as current for a lot of money. I have been suffering with headaches and my doctor couldn’t figure out why. I just found out that my headaches are because Keith, the Owner, made my glasses and put my my right eye prescription in my left lens and my left eye prescription in my right lens. And if that is not reason enough to stay away from Cohens and Shirley, how about the fact that they have microphones all over their store and are listening and recording everything you say without your permission! I reiterate do not go to Cohens and surely you will be sorry!

I purchased a pair of prescription glasses on 8/13/19 at the 767 Lexington Avenue in NYC FOR $1,000.00 dollars. The saleswoman told me the glasses would be ready for pickup in 3 weeks. I received a call and picked up my glasses on 9/4. When I wore my glasses outside the store I noticed that there was a purple tint on the lenses that interfered with my vision. I contacted the saleswoman and she instructed me to bring the glasses back right away. I did as instructed and the saleswoman told me the purple anti glare they had added without my knowledge would be removed. She told me I would be contacted in another 3 weeks. I was contacted on September 21st and I went to pick up the glasses on September 22nd. When I arrived to the pickup counter the woman at the pickup counter gave me the glasses and when I placed the glasses under the light I noticed the lenses still had the same purple tint I requested removed.
I refused to take the glasses and asked to speak to the store manager, **. **, the store manager, at first was apologetic and tried to blame the saleswoman I had spoken to originally for not explaining to him what to do with the lenses. Then he tried to say that it was his fault and tried to convince me that he had replaced the lenses with the same lenses. When I asked him why he had not contacted me to get clarification he replied that he “doesn’t like to bother customers by calling them”. I was baffled and upset. It was already 40 days since I purchased the glasses and I still didn’t have what I ordered. George promised that he would again replace the lenses (he never did the first time) and promised again to remove the purple anti glare coating h and again promised to contact me in 3 more weeks.
I walked out of the store upset, empty handed and I had zero trust on this store. When I reached my car and after sharing my experience with my husband I decided to cancel my order altogether. When I called the store less than 10 minutes later I was informed that ** was gone for the day. I told the salesman that answer the phone to cancel my order all together. Several days later, **, the store manager contacted me stating that he was “calling me back” and when I told him I had contacted my credit card to cancel the charges he became angry and told me I was wasting my time because he was an expert in dealing with banks. He said I was better off dealing with him. To make a long story short, the charges are still in dispute. Cohen’s Optical has the glasses since September 5th and apparently want to keep the glasses and force me to pay for them. ** doesn’t reply to calls or emails.
In addition, when I made the purchase, **, the saleswoman, failed to give me an itemized receipt so we never knew what we were charged for. It took several calls and emails to finally get a receipt. I have filed a complaint with the NYC BBB and I am about to go to small claims court. Do not buy glasses in this store. They aren’t honest and they will add stuff to your glasses that you do not request just to add to the charges. Read their store policies, which aren’t visible anywhere and the salesperson won’t discuss with you. As you can see from my experience, they refuse to fix their mistakes. They do not care about customers and basically they just es t to steal your money.

I won a small claims court judgment in 2013 against Cohen's Fashion Optical for $943 regarding their poor service located at 2933 Broadway, NY 10025, Morningside Heights Branch. Cohen paid me $520 and still owns me the balance, about $420. I have the NY Marshal to chase after Cohen's for the money, etc... but in vain. Cohen's still owns me the balance as of to date, 9.23.2019.

I feel they overcharge for their eyeglasses as though the customer service rep is setting their own price and receiving a commission or percentage. The price on their glasses is ridiculous. Secondly when glasses are ready for pickup they are supposed to call you. Instead the customers have to call.

I was charged $799 for designer frames that I later found online for $104 (which included prescription lenses, Cohen did not). I will never use them again and I will warn others about their unsavory practices. Rip off artists that I feel encourage their clerks to get as much money as possible from unsuspecting customers. I am sure the clerks are richly rewarded BUT these practices will not bring in customers... WARNING google the product before placing an order with these people!

I have EyeMed insurance and Cohen's Optical is an in-network provider for EyeMed. I have been doing business with Cohen's Optical at Cambridgeside Galleria for 3-years, purchasing eyeglass frames and prescription lenses, and consequently I had established a customer rapport with Neila, a manager at Cohen's. On Jan 29, 19 I brought a new lens Rx to Cohen's. I used my old frames and ordered two progressive clear Varilux lenses and one polarized progressive lenses. The total came to $1,997! I questioned Neila about the high cost since no frames were purchased. I asked if my EyeMed insurance was applied. Neila assured me that my insurance was applied, she said the high cost was due to the Varilux lenses and that she was giving me a good deal.
A few months later while on a call with EyeMed I learned that Neila didn't apply my EyeMed insurance to my purchase. I never received an itemized receipt from Cohen's, just a Visa receipt for $1,997. Neila was busy when I bought the new lenses. She said she would send it to me via email. Except I never received an itemized invoice from Cohen's. Each time I returned to Cohen's to pick-up my glasses, 3-different times, I asked about my invoice and each time I was told they would send it or that it was sent.
I went back to Cohen's when I realized my insurance wasn't applied to demand they submit my EyeMed insurance. I wanted Neila to refund the amount she charged me on Jan 29 and resubmit the purchase for May 4 with my EyeMed insurance applied. Neila refused stating 6-months had passed... it was a little over 3 months. Neila insisted that I had to go through EyeMed to apply my insurance benefits to that purchase. I called EyeMed while at Cohen's to see if they could assist me... Neila argued with the EyeMed rep to no avail. I then got on the phone with EyeMed to discuss my options. I was told to file a complaint.
Upon hearing that Neila conceded to giving me a refund of $362.40, that left me with a bill for $1,634.60, for 3-lenses. A few weeks later I received a reimbursement check for $855 from my Flex account, apparently Neila submitted a claim for May 4. I called EyeMed to inquire about the sum of the check since it did not reflect what I paid Cohen's...I was told that Cohen's submitted a claim was for $1,069, for 20% off additional frames and add-ons which is included with EyeMed's insurance plan but is not paid to the provider.
EyeMed said they do not reimburse their providers the 20% discount they give EyeMed customers, that is part of the provider's agreement with EyeMed. So, I received only 20% of $1069, ($855.20) because that is what Cohen's said I paid... I still have not received an itemized receipt. I have no idea what they charged me for or if it was what I received... If you plan to use Cohen's Optical and you have insurance make sure you know what your plan includes and make sure you have an itemized receipt. And one more thing after receiving my new lenses in my old frames I noticed whenever I cleaned my glasses a tiny piece of eyeglass tissue would get stuck in the titanium rim on one side of my eye frame.
Sure enough my eyeglass frames had a hairline fracture. I returned to Cohen's to show them the break in my frames... I did not have that fracture in my frames when I gave them to you Cohen's. I was told they own their mistakes that I must have done it. Neila said she would give me a discount on a replacement frame. I went online and found the same frames for a lower price including shipping than Cohen's discount. My advice is to be very careful when dealing with Cohen's or any Optical Chain....

Bad experience. They sold unknown brand frame with high price. Later I learned that I can get famous well-known frame below that price. This is my first time eye test. I also not satisfied with my eye test results. Two times test but still blur. I never go back again.

I was conned into buying glasses from the shop got a price of 400+ while my brother purchased the same glass from a different branch for less noting that I used my insurance and he didn’t. I was given a price of 700+ first then it was changed to 400+ as finding a better deal for me. There is apparently no set price and it seems like the price is adjustable based on the salesperson. I was then advised that my price is for an amount of 454 and given a receipt with it. Then was then lead to believe for financing I have to make an application fee of 50 for the financing company. The financing company advised that this payment isn’t for them and it’s for the merchandise as in to Cohen's optics.
I so far has spent over 2 weeks getting this matter resolved and yet no one is decent enough to acknowledge the mistake and cancel my transaction as per my request. Customer service line is not reachable only vm at least the times I tried. I sent an email and what I was told is that I will be contacted by the store which I mentioned that the store promises me to call back and never do. Then when I am contacted from the store I am sent on a conference call with the financing company to being lied to again and lead to believe that the $50 is an application fee. Which is not as per the lease agreement sent to me via email. Complete incompetence and shambles service... Will never ever recommend anyone to be their customer and won’t recommend having any sort of deal without any written clear confirmation of you had to deal with them... Yet I am chasing the store and the company for a payment and action I was conned into getting!

It has very good quality glasses that last. They are very trendy and not like what I grew up wearing. They come in many styles and colors and sizes. Some of them you can't even tell that you are wearing glasses because they are so light and clean looking. I am very active and need my glasses to stay put and not break and Cohen's provides that for me. I like that they can be made for anybody and everybody. But some of the glasses are pretty fragile because they are so trendy and lightweight. I would improve the price of them. They are a little on the pricey end of things but they are great quality so it would be tough.
