I purchased a Belkin Valet Charge dock for my iPhone 6S and Apple Watch a while back. I recently upgraded to an iPhone XS, and it refuses to charge. I called Belkin and they provided two options: 1) If it was purchased within 6 months, and you have the receipt, you can get a full reimbursement. 2) If it is older than 6 months, you can return the unit for a 50% off code on the new model that is not even promised to show up, and the price is unknown. The new units should be shipped out to all existing consumers that have the unit facing this issue, or the 50% code should be issued without having to return the defective/not functioning unit.

I have the Linksys wifi extender model RE6300. I purchased this product new from Walmart Aug 2017 and I purchased it because on the box it states "24/7 customer support". I still have the box. I continuously have wifi issues and needed TECH support but I was told after 1 year warranty the 24/7 customer support is for a website support not phone support. I would have to pay either $29.99 for 14 days or $39.99 for 6 months for tech support to assist me over the phone. This is false advertising and this company needs to be called out for it. I spoke to a supervisor and he informed that many other people have the same complaint. I asked him to please pass on my dissatisfaction to higher ups in the company in regards to this product and tech support. I will never purchase another Linksys product because of this. Do yourself a favor. Don't buy these products, they are a ripoff. Read the reviews!!!! Beware!

If you want a truly unique experience in the worst HDMI cables on the market, then Belkin is for you! I have bought several of these cables now, and every time within three months of use, the cable will completely stop working and won't even register it has been plugged in. It also has a great habit of ripping out its connector inside my laptop, so I then have part of the cable stuck in the laptop's HDMI port. If you think you are paying for a "quality product" as advertised when buying one of these cables, then think again! Belkin is only here to waste your time and take your money.

We outfitted our new house with WeMo light switches and plugs, fourteen in all. At any given two are not recognized by Wemo, requiring physical reset. We got Wemo to coordinate with Amazon Alexa. More often than not, a switch or two is not recognized by Alexa. Often we have to tell Alexa to turn on device, then turn off the device and then turn on again to make it work. We travel a lot and like the Away Mode, however there is no way to reset a Wemo device when we are traveling. Yes, we have reset, reinstalled and all the other tricks Belkin recommends. All to no avail, problems persist. Again, Wemo is a great idea, it just doesn't work very well.

I ordered a USB hub (F4U088tt) for my iMac. The USB-C/Lightning Bolt cable that attaches to the hub continually falls out. I even contacted Belkin and they sent a replacement, the wrong replacement (F4U073tt). I let them know it was wrong product and have yet to be called back. Their customer support seem to only have their script to go by and do not wish to process anything other than what the script calls for when speaking with them on the phone.

Their equipment is cheaply made as evidenced by the cable/cord FALLING OUT of the hub connector on two different hubs (the original and the replacement). Belkin charges way too much for their products to have such garbage. Their products are cheap China garbage, but with the price tag of retail US. To top it all, when I gave a "review" on their website they refused to publish the review because it made their product look bad. What good are reviews if the company only accepts good ones? Nothing about Belkin is quality. Apple should refuse to do business with them and I will let Apple know my opinion.

We paid about $50 for our Belkin router, worked great until just recently. We called customer service because our router, after 2 years, had slowed down significantly and after calling our internet provider and running tests they told us to call Belkin and ask them to switch our router channel from auto to 1,6 or 11. Well, we call for them to tell us they can't help us unless we pay $29 to extend our warranty. All they could do over and over again, is apologize and tell me all they can do is offer me the warranty or if I want to, I can purchase another Belkin router... ha! That is never going to happen. I looked up how to change the channel myself. It was literally the click of a button. $29 for a 3 month warranty so you can click your mouse, no thanks. I will never buy from Belkin again. I have never been so frustrated talking to someone in CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Bought this Belkin signal expander N300 several years ago, got it set up with a few problems but then seemed to work fine extending the EE signal to areas of the home which previous I had to use a wired connection. However... now changed internet provider and the Belkin will not reset, go back to factory setting, basically will not connect to the new BT route. It continues to show the old router on the list of computers and gives an orange flashing light. I have referred to my original instruction disk but cannot open "Belkin.range" on my browser.

Tried phoning, waste of time, first option for tech services gave an 0844 number then cut me off. Two further attempts via the operator, option 0, put me to a line which was such a poor quality I could not hear the options. Then when I finally spoke to a lady, the line quality and delay made it impossible to have a comprehensive conversation. They do not seem to provide a chat option. Product okay, but don't look for support!

The customer support/technical support I just received was of very poor quality. Instead of trying to help me troubleshoot the product that I purchased from this company, the representative tried upselling a new device. He suggested that because my router is so old I would need to start over. Or, and here's the reason for my review, I could pay a small fee for him to help me. It's one thing to say my router is old and outdated, I need to buy a new one period, because there's no troubleshooting it. It's another thing to say you actually can help me, but for a small fee. This is ludicrous! I paid for a Belkin, and I should receive technical support complimentary for purchasing this product!

I have got to say that I have received the most horrible customer service ever from Belkin. Not only did I have to repeat myself several times that I have already done all the troubleshooting, but they persistently lied to me about what I said. I even told the person that he was not listening to me and he just kept repeating himself with the same commands. I told him several times that I was following the commands.

When I finally got to the customer service team about a replacement, they were nice and apologetic. However, they still wanted a CC from me. There is no way that I am going to provide that and have them charge me for anything. It is not my fault that the product was a default. I wish that I would have researched this product before I bought it! If I would have seen the negative reviews that are so similar to mine, I would not have bought it. Please keep in mind that I have worked in customer service for over 10 years. I did not appreciate the level of customer service received.

I do not have an issue with the quality of Belkin's products or their ability to protect my valuable electronics equipment and wireless network. What I have an issue with is when technical support blatantly lies to me and gives me technical advice that is totally useless. A thunderstorm struck the area in which I live several days ago. The Belkin surge protector took the hit and it fried the SAD and MOV levels of protection and the unit clearly needed to be replaced. I get that. I have an issue with a technician that tries to evade my direct questions and lies about it.

"Do you work for Belkin?" The reply I was given was yes. "Are you going to try to sell me a bill of goods such as anti-spyware, anti-malware or the like?" "No sir," was the response. "What do you recommend I purchase as a replacement? How many joules do you recommend to protect my wireless Belkin A/B router Wi-Fi network that is tied directly to a 18 mb A, T & T Arris modem?" Evaded all of my questions, tried to sell me two different anti-malware and spyware packages and didn't even work for Belkin.

He was a D-Link technician. I simply disabled my system after he told me several lies and gave me worthless technical advice. Belkin's technical support is horrid. I am fine with any surge protector that kills a transient voltage spike in its tracks. I understand enough about EE theory to figure it out. I installed the system myself. Just give me a straight answer when I ask a question.

The product issue: I loved this product from the day I bought it. 2 USB ports, three grounded plug-in spots for other devices and it was all on a single swivel three-prong plug for wherever your power source happened to be. It worked great for travel and work, but then the swiveling plug kept starting to pop out a bit. No bueno. Eventually, I lost the prongs (I might find them by end of day) after they fully popped out of the encasing and I couldn't put it back together. My surge protector was finally defunct. So, today in doing personal chores I came across the box for my Belkin Mini Surge Protector box for my sadly "departed" (and by that, I mean broken) device and saw that my Belkin product has a "Lifetime Warranty." Awesome! So I called the number I found on the website.

The customer service experience: Interestingly, I was helped by a wonderful girl named Heaven. I told her about the product defect and I truly felt she went above and beyond. My Belkin surge protector had been broken for a few months now, I just hadn't tossed it. I almost felt guilty because they were being so helpful to replace it! But, after learning it was covered by the warranty, I was pretty excited.

The return process: Per Belkin's website, one has to speak with a phone representative before getting an item replaced or returned. They have two options for replacement when it's deemed your item is defective: Basic and Advanced (I think it was called advanced). With Basic, you go to the post office and return your item to them (you pay for postage), and when they receive it, they'll send you a new one. With Advanced, which I chose, they send you the product immediately and put a hold on a credit card equal to the value of the product, which gets removed once they receive your old product. You receive the product within 1-2 business days. Seemed like the better option to me, versus waiting forever for a replacement. And I put it on a credit card which notifies me of every transaction. Anyway, now I'm just waiting for the product (I called last night), but I was super pleased with whole process.

Just watched my second Belkin router die in the past 3 years... Called "tech support", was told that my 2-year warranty ended 2 months ago and I need special approval to receive a replacement. After arguing and screaming at some Indian people (first guy barely spoke English so I had to hang up and call back) for about 2 hours. I received the authorization!!! Amazing! Then all I needed to do was pay for shipping and give them my credit card number to keep on file. Easy peazy... Why don't I just send over my social security number and my dead grandfather's ashes! Soooo after another 30 min of screaming... I was told to calm down because quote unquote they are doing me a favor by replacing my second broken router instead of what they did last time which was tell me to buy a new one. I believe this is their normal response when customers call to discuss why all their Belkin products are malfunctioning.

So 4 hours into dealing with "Customer support" I had finally screamed, yelled, cursed, and complained enough to receive a replacement router, shipped at Belkin's expense with no credit card on file needed. So in the end I guess I won... but I was told many times about how many exemptions and favors they were making on my behalf. It's nice to know that this company is willing to take care of their customers... if they throw a 2-year-old style tantrum for 4 hours. DO NOT BUY BELKIN!!! IF YOU DO... YOU WILL PAY... AGAIN AND AGAIN... AND AGAIN.

I purchased a pair of Belkin earphones last December from a local retailer. I got it on sale which I thought was a good bargain even though it was still priced at the high-end. But, with just a few months of use, the quality of the sound started to deteriorate having static noises until it won't play anymore. I went back to the retailer together with the receipt to have it replaced due to a factory defect.

I handed the item to the guy on the store to have it checked then told me that it was way beyond the 7-day replacement of the store. I insisted that Belkin products have a 1-year manufacturer's warranty as mentioned before when I purchased it so he told me that he would check on that. He came back giving me the run-around that the jack has already deteriorated voiding the manufacturer's warranty. So much for a product that clamors for quality but won't even last half a year of regular use. I'd rather get those no-frills earphones from Japan Home Store than spending a larger sum for an item that won't last for 6 months.

When I purchased an iPad Air 2 a little more than a year ago, I wanted a keyboard case for it. I checked out the reviews and chose the case I was led to believe would be the best choice for me - Belkin Qode Ultimate Pro Keyboard Case. As a Canadian, my challenges began because the product was not yet available in Canada. Belkin in the U.S. would not send it to me and so the only way I could purchase it was to have it sent to a relative in the U.S. who mailed it to me. Hence, I ended up paying postage twice. From the beginning I had difficulty pairing the keyboard case with my iPad Air 2. The connection was unstable. I contacted the Belkin technicians who did not help or admit to me that many of the keyboards are defective. Since I had purchased the product in the U.S., I then repeatedly looked for online support on blogs and did find a little help from others with similar problems.

After many months of stress with it, when the keyboard started going into reverse in the middle of my typing and sometimes stopped working in the middle of an email, I decided to contact Belkin a second time. I explained my history with the keyboard with an agent in the Philippines who admitted to me that the keyboard was likely defective and that many people had had difficulties with these keyboards. He offered to replace it, but, when he received a photocopy of my receipt, informed me that he had checked with his immediate superior and that I would not be receiving a replacement since I was beyond the warranty period. Not even this exceptional situation would be considered, even though I informed the agent that, if that was Belkin's response, I would never purchase a Belkin product again. And I NEVER WILL purchase a Belkin product again.

After a little research, I am now the proud owner of a Zagg Rugged Book for iPad Air 2. Wow!!! What an amazing difference! I now have a quality keyboard case... no connectivity issues, durable silicone rubber protection for my iPad, an amazingly strong magnet to make sure that the keyboard does not separate from the iPad, the ability to set my iPad at a myriad of viewing angles rather than just two with the Belkin, 4 modes of viewing (keyboard, case, video and book modes)... I could go on and on. After a year of stress and an expensive lesson, I am finally happy.

The box had lifetime warranty on it and I am lucky that I kept the box and the receipt from the retailer otherwise my claim would not be honored. I was given a return authorization and wanted to send the product back for replacement. They only have a post box in New Zealand for returns but most couriers will only allow track and trace to a physical address. I got around this but the product remained at the post office for 4 days without being picked up. The call center is based in the Philippines so English was not a problem but Belkin's lack of process is.

Every time I called, I was asked not only for the authorization number but to provide my name and email address and to spell my email address - REALLY? It's not on the system against the case number. The call center is either on an hourly rate and want to drag it out or they get a bonus for the length of call. Anyway, I eventually get an email saying the product will be replaced and I will get details within one or two working days. I call four working days later and told the product should be with the courier in 24-48 hours - yeah right. Fat chance of that happening. I've already scheduled calls for next week and the week after that. What a shame this company does not understand that not only does your product have to be good, you also have to have great customer service. This also happens when plugged into an iPhone, obviously a defective product. Technical support finally listened after a half hour. I got a reference number from Amber. I was told to call customer service and I will be all set and they would send me a new product. Ya right... After trying to speak to a non English speaking woman, being put on hold again, I was told I bought the wrong item again!! Called tech support for issues with "quick installation" of Belkin N300 extender. Would not install as stated in manual. Tech support rep had a very heavy Indian accent and I had to continuously ask him to repeat himself which made him increasingly more irritable as the conversation went on. He ended up telling me I had all kinds of security issues, scaring me so that I could purchase their "computer fix". I refused as I was skeptical and will check this out with a computer specialist in America.

From reading other reviews this seems to be the case very often, they tell you that people have been hacking into your computer and that you need to get things fixed. I think tech support for Belkin should be termed "overseas salesmen". I am returning my device immediately and buying another brand that does not outsource to foreign countries.

I stated this to the rep and all she does is tells me that I have to wait until USPS gets the package for them to do anything. I don't understand why they can't call UPS and tell them to deliver the package directly to us since the driver knows my exact location. Now basically I don't have what I need for work and I will have to wait additionally for them to get a notice from USPS stating my address is undeliverable in order for them to reship my order. I have had a belkin wireless range extender model F9K1106v1 for exactly 12 months, all of a sudden it drops internet connection. Firmware is up to date so I should be working great... right? Here's my issue... It's been more than 90 days so my only options are chat line tech assistance. As soon as I open a tech chat line for support and the rep gets my model and serial numbers all of a sudden the chat line is dropped. I go back to the website and try for another tech chat rep but the "chat line is unavailable at this time...” and stays that way for several hours. Now I have to login with a different device before I can get access to a working chat support line again.

See the pattern here. I have 3 computers and 2 tablets and as soon as retell my problem and give my model & serial numbers all over again that connection is dropped. What is going on? The only reason I purchased Belkin in the first place was the online support, 24/7 but that's not really a feasible option. I called the customer service number 1-800-223-5546 to find out why the online support was not working and got this answer, "You will need to upgrade to preferred premium support for an additional $39 or with your range extender model you can purchase a brand new range extender for only $48.95. This is the only authorized support I can give you.” Really? They should not be allowed to do this!!!!

So bottom line is spend your money wisely America... DO NOT SUPPORT BELKIN MANUFACTURING BY PURCHASING THEIR INFERIOR PRODUCTS! The unit lasted as long as the warranty but the actual tech support will only last for 90 days. I will buy another wireless range extender but you can bet I will never buy another Belkin product ever again. Pass this on people, we shouldn't have to keep purchasing on annual basis, my last first 3k belkin wireless router was $40 in 2007 and it's still working on a hp desktop and roku device. No, I don't have any support on the unit but at this point I feel I did get my money's worth out of it.

Okay, So I bought a router exactly 1 month and 13 days ago, and then Belkin had an update about 4-5 am about a week ago. SINCE the "update" my router has yet to work. Firstly I contacted my internet provider, I went into the local office, chatted with them (I used to work for the company so I get the "real scoop" on what's happening) and was told about the FAILED Belkin update and what I should do. Was given a phone number that Belkin GAVE to the internet provider companies (as they would get calls) and info on how to address the issue.

So I called. FAIL. Hell, it gave me a message about how they were busy and HUNG UP. Irritation was already building because now my NEW router did nothing, and then I have a machine's voice hang up on me. So I've waited to call, directly wired my WORKING modem to my computer so I have something, and then just a moment ago I called. I can say definitely this was a HUGE FAIL. I'm glad I kept the receipt for the modem, hell we even bought the warranty on the damned thing, so going to return this crap for something better. Why you may ask? What was the fail there after I called? What happened? Oh, I will be glad to share!

First call. (As I did the 3 strikes and you're out.) The TECHNICAL SUPPORT guy's accent was STRONG, REALLY STRONG. He had a hard time saying some words; English was definitely new to him. I told him my issue, when I bought the router, when it stopped working, the method I tried to do to "reboot" it (Simply unplug like you would a modem). He took my name and then told me to "FIX" the problem. I would need to unplug the ether cable from my router and directly from my modem to my computer and that should give me internet.... WELL DUH! This process completely bypasses the router, it's not being used this way, OF COURSE I will have internet BUT I was calling about getting my router fixed. I explained how this "logic" would NOT fix the issue, he got confused, repeated what he said, confused himself and then "transferred me" to someone who could help further. After about an hour of being on hold I hung up.

Second call. This time I tried another "Contact us" number from Belkin, Yep, it's STILL outsourced. I know because this guy you can tell is from the same country as the last, except his English was A LOT better. This guy ran me through the steps that I, the consumer, already tried all the week before. I told him this, but he insisted that we do it again anyway, imagine my excitement about this. Who would have guessed that after all his "instruction to solve the problem" that it STILL didn't work? Then he went a new route, he told me to open my browser and key in a number, I asked why and he said that "we" were going to allow him to "access" my computer. Um, no? I asked him why would I do this? He explained that I will give him complete access to my computer and that he would solve the issue this way.

Did I mention that he said he was located in Nairobi? I'm sorry I'm picky about letting GEEK squad down the street have access to my computer, why the blue bloody ** would I give someone in another country access to my computer? I asked is there any other way? He said no, that I now will give him access. Um, no. You don't DEMAND that I give you access to jack. There was no asking people, he just flat out said you will, he got mad when I refused. Then he tried to push Belkin's tech support fees on me, (I am still covered in the free 90 day thing). I said I'm not buying and he tried to push me off on a "transfer call".

Third call. I tried the THIRD PARTY Tech Support. That I looked up that dealt with Belkin. I figured why not? What the hell do I have to lose? IT'S THE SAME BLOODY OUTSOURCED COMPANY! Except if you ask to speak to someone "Stateside" they "transfer you" to someone who has less of an accent and will blatantly lie about where they are located EVEN THOUGH you can still hear others in the back ground with the same heavy accent the original call was placed. Again, they do all the steps as the first two calls. Except this time they are asking for more of my personal information, which they don't get and get hostile about. DO NOT GIVE THEM: Your Full name, your personal EMAIL (They don't "NEED" it, it's ** if they say they do), or ACCESS to your COMPUTER (BIG NO-NO!). Seriously, don't do that.

All in all I can safely say that I will NO LONGER use Belkin. I DO NOT RECOMMEND the use of Belkin routers to be used ever. If you do use them I hope that you never have an issue with it because you are screwed if you call tech support. I am copying this and making a complaint with the BBB (Better Business Bureau), I think Belkin needs to step up and take fault where its due and work on correcting the issue, or face a spiral of plummeting sales.

With the upgrade from Windows 7 to Win8 on the notebook and the corresponding update graphics drivers and software, Intel-PROset/Wireless, we have had the first problems, but the Belkin adapter (using the software for Win7 on Win8) still had the possibility to be updated... Today, after the updates to Win 8.1 and those corresponding automated of software drivers from Intel, is impossible for any radio communication between the notebook and adapter from Belkin (Note that the Intel PROSet/Wireless framework Launcher application on notebook says that all works perfectly on the WiDi computer system).

I bought the adapter for present to my customers the renderings of the projects, I'm an architect not a computer expert, and I must be ensured from the Belkin technical support appropriate directions so that the system advertised alongside Intel can continue to operate even after effects updates made only a year after the purchase. I wrote to the customer support of Belkin and I had a phone number... I called and, after 40 minutes of conversation, I was not given one possible solution, and I had the impression that those who answered me and to those requesting information were totally unprepared. The only result is that they asked me for my phone number to call me in the next 48 hours ... This time is now expired and I'm still waiting. I think that the next step to take is to go to a lawyer for compensation for the damage suffered, rather than becoming an expert in software tricks and try to run a new object that does not do what the manufacturer had guaranteed.

BEWARE! I bought Belkin router and the program message kept telling me that it could not see my internet connection. All worked fine without the router though. I tried with a laptop and also with a smart phone. Belkins (bad English speaking and hard to understand) tech service was telling me I needed to pay them a one time $130 fee so that they can fix the "infected" network. The service was brand new and so was the equipment. I wasn't buying it!! I then called and talked with internet provider and was told to try another brand. NetGear worked just fine! Go figure! Don't bother with Belkin products. I will never purchase another Belkin product.

They went into my computer and tried to tell me that someone was hacking into my wireless network and also showed me all of these files that were supposedly corrupt.

They said they could fix it for $120 dollars. I told them no thanks I just wanted them to answer my one simple question. I called HP support after I talked to them and they went into my computer and found no such corrupt files. Belkin support is running a total scam.

The product doesn't exist according to customer service. Since my game pad is technically under a different name, they refuse me any help.

I'm very upset with Belkin. I got a router in June. It broke in November. When I called them, I got through all of the troubleshooting steps that I had already done several times before I even called, when the guy I was talking to hung up on me. I then had to wait on hold to get on the line with another guy. I went through all of the troubleshooting steps again with him. I was repeating over and over again the fact that there was no power going to the router. When I went to fill out their replacement information as directed, their web page wouldn't process my request, and they want me to pay to have their faulty equipment sent back to them. The guy on the phone said to just call back Monday - this is after I spent an hour on the phone with him.

Their customer service was terrible; the guy kept doing slight giggles when I sounded more angry, kept asking me to make sure I put information in properly when it wasn't working, and was acting like I'm stupid. I still have a broken router, and I have to spend more time on the phone with them tomorrow trying to get a replacement. I'm not happy at all and don't understand why they have any customer base when this is how they conduct business.

Well, I didn’t succeed. So, I continued to set-up my router and I connected everything, but I couldn’t connect to the internet. My other computer did. I contacted my cable company and they ran a test on my modem and the router. They said that the problem was with the router. They told me to call Belkin to have them re-set something in their end. Now the fun begins. I called Belkins customer service (joke). I got a hold of some guy from India whom I couldn’t understand.

He told me to go onto the Internet (I couldn’t. There’s no connection). He kept telling me this every time I told him there’s no internet connection. I asked him about 20 times to speak to his supervisor or someone who could speak English because it was hard for me to understand him. He didn’t seem to care. He just kept saying go to the internet and enter 192.168.2.1. After shouting for him to get me someone who speaks better English, he then hung up on me.

Well, I was angry so I called back. I got a hold of another person whom I couldn’t understand. So, I asked her if I could speak to someone who could speak English better. She transferred my call to the dummy who hung up on me. After about a minute, he started with the same crap: “go to the internet and enter…” I was really upset at this time and told him I would be getting a hold of Belkin to complain. He laughed and said, “Go ahead.” He said he would deny any conversation I had with him. Well, I took the router back to Wal-Mart and I will tell everyone who look at Belkin products about their customer service and their products. One day later, Belkin called about my router. I dumped a load on that guy and told him all about their customer service from India. It was my bad.

Bullshit. This is not inconvenient. This is fraud. And the proper state regulatory agencies -- and a reputable class action attorney -- will be notified. I trust the ultimate costs to Belkin will be well worth the ten dollars you duped me out of by inducing me to purchase a product I would not have otherwise bought without the incentive of a rebate you had no intention of honoring. In case it is not evident from this and my previous e-mails regarding this rebate, I am NOT the consumer who just shrugs his shoulders and says oh, well. I bought a model F5D6230-3 wireless router. It has a lifetime warranty.....yeah, right. The unit doesn't work anymore and I tried to get them to replace it.

At first I tried their online procedure for returns of defective products. The input screen would not accept the model number. No such model, it said even though I was clearly typing in the correct model number. So, i went to the telephone.

After over an hour on the phone to a technician in Bangledesh I was told that a technician would need to call me back to obtain shipping information. I never got the call and subsequent calls to Belkin only got me the same answer, that I would need to await a call from a technician.

I tried calling the stateside number in Compton, CA. but customer service for wireless products in simply an eternal transmission os canned music. No one ever comes on the line.

Belkin already has all the information they should need. There is no real need for me to wait for a call back but Belkin insists this is the way they do things. Trouble is, the call back never comes.

Belkin does not honor their lifetime warrantee.

I am out the $100 or so that I spent on this wireless router with a lifetime warranty.

On Saturday, February 11th, problems were occurring with my Belkin wireless router. I could not log on to the Internet. I immediately rang Belkin telephone technical support and the technician suggested that I try to log on, which failed. In addition, the technician suggested that I run the cord from the router into the computer. He said, that some green lights on the router should be on and I replied that the green lights were not on. I suggested to him another option he said no.

After only two suggestions, he made a determination over the phone that my router was defective and that I would need a new router. He immediately transferred me to the RMA Department at Belkin. Once switched to the RMA Department, I spoke to a Pablo who was in charge of ordering and shipping out a another router to me. Pablo also said, that in order to perform this procedure he would need $92.38 to cover the cost of the router in case the old one did not reach the Belkin Headquarters.

I desperately needed the router and allowed him to debit the money from my check card. He told me that the router would not reach me for 3-5 days. I ask him, What am I to do without a router? I need to check my messages. He, then replied, That the router could be sent out overnight. He continued with However, in order for that to happen I would need to call customer service on Monday. Unhappy, I hung up with Pablo. I decided to see if I could get the router working on my own. I reinstalled the Belkin software and within 5 minutes the router was working and could open my e-mail and had Internet connection.

I immediately called customer service and spoke to a Hermador and told him that I do not need the router. Could he please release my funds from my debit card. He said, He could not release the funds and that customer service could only do that. I would have to call back on Monday morning and speak to a customer service representative In addition to speaking to Hermador, I sent an e-mail to customer service telling them that my router is working and could they release my funds.

On Monday, mid-day I spoke to a Jammata (phoenetic spelling) and explained to him what occurred on Saturday and if he could release the funds. Bottomline, he told me that he could not do it because the order had already been shipped and I would have to wait until the box reaches me and then send it back and only then could I have the funds released. I said, this is ridiculous. I wanted to speak with the manager. Jamatta placed me on hold and returned within about few minutes. The manager never spoke to me, however Jamatta told me that the manager would cancel the order. I asked Jamatta when I could I expect to have the funds released back into my account and he said, By the end of the week.

Later, that day at 5:12 p.m. I received an e-mail from Jay telling me that he was sorry, the shipment already went out and that I would have to wait for UPS to deliver the merchandise and then have them return it to Belkin.

I sent him an e-mail, relating how upset I was about this whole situation.

I have yet to hear his reply.

Today, I telephoned to speak with him and he was on another call. Therefore I felt that as I promised in my e-mail to Jay that I have no other choice than to report the situation to Consumer Affairs.

The result has yet to surface. My fear is that since the manager jay Bush has been non-responsive to my e-mail and refuses to speak to me via telephone that I may never see my money. I have yet to see the new router. It has only been a few days since the router has been dispatched to my home . I wanted Consumer Affairs to be aware of the situation at this stage, should the situation become unmanagable and my recourse to retrieve my money become a moot point. In addition what alerted me was that my bank called me on Tuesday and questioned the transaction. My bank was under the impression that this purchase along with another was possibly fraudulant.

I plugged the Belkin phone charger model F8V7104-E-MK into my 1994 Chevy pickup's lighter to charge my Nokia cell phone, and after about five minutes it stopped working. Because it is an older model truck I did not think much about it. After checking the fuse box on my truck, I found out there was nothing wrong with the fuse, it was still good.A few weeks later while on a trip, this time in my 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo, I plugged the same charger into the lighter, and within a few minutes it quit working.

After returning from my trip I took the Monte Carlo to a dealer, because it was still under warranty. They told me the main fuse under the hood was blown and the element for the cigarette lighter was fried. The total on the bill was almost $100.00, but luckly the warranty covered it. My truck doesn't have an existing warranty, so in order to fix it the money will have to come out of my pocket.

Belkin's phone charger blew two main fuses under the hood,in two different vehicles, and fried two cigarette lighter heater elements. There is definately something wrong with this device, and I would not recommend it to anyone!

I have a Belkin OmniView 4 port KVM switch. I am experiencing what apparently quite a large number of people have with this product - connecting to a pc running linux the video display/mouse goes completely blank/unusable. I have searched the web with no resolution and have contacted their support - their first response was a terse - try switching the cables around - clearly not a solution. I proceeded to call technical support and was basically told there is nothing that can be done and have a good day. I certainly will NOT be purchasing another Belkin product EVER AGAIN.

The product appears initally to work, however it rapidly becomes unusable considering the only solution to this issue is to reboot the pc. Not a solution. Economic impact is the price originally paid - $150.00

I purchased a belin high spped cable modem from compusa on 02-20-05, and mailed the $20.00 rebate form on 03-03-05. 10 weeks later I still have not received the rebate. I have e-mailed them twice on 05-10-05 and 05-12-05. The $20.00 would not accept on the renate form so I left that space blank and mentioned the amount in the inquiry section. After submitting the form a note comes back that I will get a response within 48 hours. It is now 4 days later, and still no response. Can you offer any help??

They now claim they didnt get the upc codes and serial numbers required. I have 3 witnesses to the fact i sent them in. Im not the only one this has happened to. Many complaints online about them.

I was told that I did not send in the proper papers with my rebate request and I know for a fact I did. I kept copies of everything. It's not about the money, it's about Belkin treating people like this. I will not buy Belkin products in the future. They could care less but it will make me fell better.

Sent in 3 $40 rebates in August - all were approved. Claimed to have sent in late October - never received. After lengthy waiting period agreed to resend. Recontacted company in mid December, claimed they would be sent in 10-14 business days (by my extremely generous calculations, no later than 1/4/05). Contacted again at beginning of Feb b/c I still had not received. Was told they had not yet been sent, but would be soon. Orignial terms called for issuance within 8-10 weeks (which I'm thinking they never were), so rebates are now over 3 months overdue. I told company I expect refund and compensation.

I have not heard back from them since. Complaints have been filed with BBB, will soon be filed with state attorney generals.

Belkin has been receiving interest on this money, while I have not. Have transferred money from savings to cover charge on credit card. I am now seething at this company knowing that while I am pushing hard, and will get my money no matter what it takes, other consumers who are not as strong willed are being ripped off. Constantly seeking legal rectification...not sure if small claims will work because they are not within my county - may have to contact an attorney (which will probably cost more than the rebates)...Belkin should not be allowed to perpetrate this scam.

I purchased a Belkin phone charger for my Samsung Cellular phone about 3 months ago. Today when I plugged my phone in, it destroyed my phone. I could smell plastic burning and I immediaely unplugged it, but it had already fried the phone. When I told my son about this, he told me that when he had used it, his phone had become very hot. Fortunately, it did no damage his phone. I now have to replace my phone.

I have to replace my cell phone. I'm not sure at this point of the final cost because I have a loaner.

On 6/25/03 I purchased a Belkin Wireless Router from Microcenter with a mail in rebate for $30 (see details below).
They provide a phone numbe (1-800-615-2732) for the status of the rebate.

The rebate has been approved for nearly 12 weeks but the check has not been mailed.

When I called the number, I was told that even though everything was approved they were only a third party company and could not issue my check simply because Belkin had not paid them. They also said there was no estimated time for this to be fixed.

Our Belkin Surger Protector comes with a $35,000 warranty covering damage to equipment that Belkin's product fails to protect from power surges or spikes. The past December our computer went dead and we called in a professional computer technician to evaluate the problem. His anaylsis was that the harddrive was damaged from a power surge.

We called the number on Belkin's warranty paper which directed us to the website for filing a claim. They only give 15 days for filing and if you only have one computer, filing online can be a problem. Luckily we had a second but the form would not submit because one line in their form would not let a date be entered. I then tried calling again to get someone to take my claim over the phone not wanting to miss the deadline.

I couldn't get anyone live, a gentleman by the name of Jamil returned my call, took down prelimary information but said that my claim would have to be taken by his manager Dorothy and he gave me another number to call (the one listed above). I've left repeated messages at this number with no Dorothy ever returning my call and the 15 day deadline came and went. Eventually I found that my computer manufacturer Compaq still had a hardware warranty in effect for my computer and they helped me resolve the problem. I now have a working computer again but am frustrated that Belkin has offered a warranty that they have no intentions to live up to. If one is interested in purchasing their products, it's very easy to get a live attendant, but to file a claim, nothing but endless voicemail with no return calls.
