Was told by the customer care department that I would be charged 85$ a month for the next three years.. I get my bill and it’s more than that and of course they can’t find record of who I spoke with!!

The service itself is great, but God help you if you need technical support. The contractor they hired to install our fiber line installed it over the sidewalk instead of underneath it, so naturally it got severed by a lawnmower. Repeated support calls went unanswered; their automated system hung up on me four times. On the FIFTH try, I was on hold for over 90 minutes before I gave up. Their SMS service is a joke. Never got a response. I finally called their SALES department and got a human being, who told me to open a ticket on Metronet's website. Never got email confirmation that the ticket was submitted, so I called back. They then told me it can take up to 48 hours for someone to respond. I work from home, so being down for two days destroyed my productivity. I never should have left Cox, even though they're more expensive.

I have made numerous complaints via the BBB and FCC about their unsolicited contacted. Last time the FCC got involved, Amanda ** there assured me I was off their list. She is a care executive. Also included was other people there, like Daniel **, Associate General Counsel and Robin **, Compliance Officer. To no surprise, these titles mean nothing as they all can be summarized under one title (We don't care about you). They have not only lied to me, but they have lied to the FCC and the BBB. At one point they lied to the FCC about contacting me on 3 separate occasions. Not once through my call logs had they called.
This company should be criminal for what they lie about. Trying to force their garbage service down your throat while lying through their teeth and acting like they are doing nothing wrong. For shame MetroNet/Vexus. Obviously you care nothing about your consumers. As far as their actual work, they will cut down lines without telling you. They will chop up your cable lines and other fiber providers. Additional holes in your wall to mount their equipment. If you have any problems with their router, they will blame Eero. If you contact Eero, they will blame Vexus. I would choose to have dial-up back before I ever touched Vexus/MetroNet.

I had Metronet internet for a few months and then ran into a financial situation. Internet was disconnected. That's fine, I knew it would happen. I call to find out how much my bill is to have services reconnected. They tell me, I have to return my equipment and get a new account because this one was off for 4 months. That makes absolutely no sense. I have equipment, what's the point in returning equipment to have more equipment brought out and connected. I'm returning their equipment and getting internet from someone else. Don't bother, it's not worth it. I was also on hold twice for 20 mins each time. I tried to text customer service 3 times and they didn't have a representative available. When I did reach someone it took them forever to respond.

I called their (866) 611-2180 number on two separate occasions to inquire about plans as fiber optic was recently installed in my neighborhood. I asked questions like how they compare to Xfinity and the other fiber optic provider in my region. Both times the customer service reps were short tempered, discourteous, unfriendly jerks. They were clearly annoyed that I would dare to have the audacity to ask them to justify their higher prices compared to cable, and basically insulted me for asking why their fiber optic competitors prices were significantly lower than theirs.
At one point the rep from the second call, said something to the effect of "...do you even understand the difference between coaxial and fiber optic?" I said, "somewhat". He replied, "then you don't really know what you're talking about do you?" It was at that moment I decided I'm either going to stick with Xfinity or go with their competitor "Frontier." Either way, MetroNet will not be getting my business.

Easy to get service, but nearly impossible to reach customer service or handle any issues. I've tried using their SMS system 4 times, it always said nobody is available. Tried calling and on hold for 20 minutes before giving up. The Internet was fast, so if it's your only fiber option then it's better than nothing, but keep in mind the customer service is basically absent. Their website doesn't allow you to cancel your service, at least I wasn't able to locate the option.

I was told my service was 49.99 +$5 tax in total. The bill was $75. Ooops in very tiny writing on their mailer was an additional $13 + they added taxes to that. So after asking and clarifying on the phone that it would total $54.99 my bill was way more. I spent over 2 hours today trying to cancel service since I was lied to. I phoned 5 times, got through on 3. 1st person said to go to my online account. THERE IS NOWHERE TO CANCEL ONLINE ON YOUR ACCOUNT! 2nd call getting through, said 10 minute wait possible=after 23 I gave up.
3rd time chose payment department and explained I wanted to cancel but couldn't get through to cancellation department- she said I will make sure I get someone on the line before I leave you...over 29 minutes later I got tired of listening to the "HOLD MUSIC" Another false statement. I sent an email to cancel-they responded to call the cancellation department that you CANNOT EMAIL!!!. Well I am cancelled.! I RECOMMEND YOU DON'T USE THEM! Terrible customer service was all I experienced and overcharges.

Live in Palm Coast, FL...for 3 of the weeks this month. My internet has been down caused by Metronet technicians. My outdoor camera revealed technicians pulling up to Metronet fiber box on my street. Shortly after, my internet is inop. Calls to Customer NO service hold times were consistently from 45-55 minutes.... Technician appointments were 5 days out so 5 days with no internet. The other outages took techs 3-4 days to show up.... It just went down again today... 47 minutes on hold to get a Metronet rep.... Tech appointment is in 3 days... For the last year... The fiber internet has dropped multiple times... From hours to a day or 2 but resolved "on its own"... I done with Metronet and switching to more reliable AT&T fiber. I will demand a refund for all charges in August... Metronet is not worth it.. Please choose any other provider if possible.

We have had Metronet fiber optic internet for less than six weeks and we are on our fourth service outage. The first one lasted nearly 48 hours, and subsequent ones have mostly been multiple hours. If they could explain why and give us a reason, we might be more patient, but no explanation is ever provided. We have three people who do part of their work at home and cannot afford unreliable internet. We are already seeking a new internet provider.

Terrible service and product. Do not answer the calls, over an hour of waiting. Butchered our exterior, rarely do we receive consistent quality internet. Bad enough that we think Cox Cable is a bargain and should have never left. Competition is supposed to create better quality. Guess not.

Metronet customer service phone and text are the worst. Long wait time and unreachable and slow response to text messages. I was on hold with the 888 number a total of 2hrs. 1hrs the first time, 30 minutes 2 other times. Tried using the text number 95798 after following the text response. 15 minutes later it tell me "No CSRs are available at this time, please try again later". They claim ro to have 24/7 customer service. That seem to be misleading. That's posted on the website. False advertising.

Review (Metronet – August 13, 2025). I would strongly advise against using Metronet. I’m not even a customer yet, and dealing with their support has been incredibly frustrating. Wait times are horrendous—sometimes hours—despite being told it would only be a few minutes. Today, I spoke with a representative named Bobby, who was unprofessional, short, and showed no courtesy or apology for the long wait. My mother was promised installation on Friday, but the technician arrived on Saturday, walked around the house, and left without explanation. We received no email or notice, leaving us without internet and having to spend hours on the phone for answers. Customer service matters, and Metronet’s approach is dismissive and unhelpful. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

They did not complete installation for 4 months. Just leaving lines over the yard - garage door... I called twice, chatted, and sent emails with pictures attached 3 time buts absolutely no response for 4 months. I will just cut off the line and find another service, if this is not fixed soon.

After waiting on hold for more than one hour to speak with MetroNet’s Customer Service, I hung up and called back. Instead of pressing the option for Customer Service, I opted to speak with their New Service department. They answered immediately. After explaining the purpose of my call, I was told I had to speak with Customer Service. As I attempted to reiterate that I had already called Customer Service, and that they are not answering, Brandon, the rep, transferred me back to Customer Service mid-sentence. I hung up and called the New Service department again, this time asking to speak with someone in management.
The rep I was speaking with stated he was a supervisor, and asked what the problem was. After explaining the purpose of my call yet again, he informed me that he could not help, and that I had to speak with customer service. He also stated that I was wasting my time calling the department for customers wanting new service (the only department that answers incoming calls). As I attempted to reiterate that Customer Service does not answer, he transferred me to voicemail hell mid-sentence. I have never been a MetroNet customer. And based upon this experience, I have clearly dodged a bullet.

I Thought I was making a good decision but that old saying, if it's not broke don't try to fix it. I should've kept my previous provider. Good Salesman. I didn't have Fiber Optics and it only went down sometimes during bad weather. And it worked for me. I haven't had an entire month where my internet has stayed on. 95% of the time I work from home. Last month my internet was down for 3 days and that's not counting days in June an July. I had better cheaper service. I would not choose this internet provider. Techs have been put to my house so many times an I have only had the service 3 months maybe.

I’ve had Metronet for a couple weeks. I’ve noticed connectivity issues throughout the day. This morning my internet was down—I’ve been holding for 33 minutes to talk to someone, no answer. I guess their service isn’t 24/7.

Metronet started to dig my front yard in June 2025 while I was out of town. Metronet did not have a permit and my front yard was completely destroyed. Then Metronet did not recover my front yard. I called them and they did nothing.

I have 4 TVs covered under my plan. All of a sudden I have to keep entering in passwords and reconnecting 2 of the TVs because I can't get access. I've tried calling them 3 different times for help - each time I hung up after being on hold for one hour. It's horrible customer service!!. You can never get someone in Tech support to help!!

Terrible experience. If I am not authorized and have all the required account information, they will not even fix your internet. It’s really insane. I understand not divulging any details, but not even looking into the issue? It took me 40 mins to even speak to someone. What a waste of time.

Their construction crews have no regard for other people. They have been walking around my house where no lines are being dug (around my car, front steps, in front of my garage). Leaving bungee cords ends in the street, tarps in yards where no work is being done. I called customer service and after holding for 20 minutes was told to call a different number (the website listed the number I called as the one they were trying to have me call). Based on this experience and them saying they can’t contact them to have them be respectful of others I would not use their services either.

I wish I had stayed with AT&T. Metronet is overpriced and the most unreliable internet I have ever had. I lose connections 3-6 times a day every day. I've reset the modem so many times I've lost track. When I call them and tell them the issue and what troubleshooting I've already done they just say "let's unplug the system and wait 10 seconds then plug it back in", even though I had just told them I had just done that several times. My mobile hotspot is more reliable. I've been on hold today 15 minutes waiting for tech support again. Don't waste your time or money with this company.

Horrible service. Goes down randomly and it was over 45 minutes to get a person to answer. Online help is a joke. It's AI so it is not able to answer questions that are not general. Even after giving all information it would not connect or help.

We have had Metro next for a bit. It does have a lot of issues with lag times and not connecting to emails properly. Almost every time we log into email it will disconnect, and you have to relog in again. I don't know where they are pushing their data through but it doesn't help here. Wish they had direct fiber lines. I am going to try a different provider and if I have no issues I am changing. They also buried my line shallow.

A door to door sales representative named Doug ** is the nastiest, rudest person to be sent to knock on people's doors. He was insulting me as soon as I opened my door. This is in Kokomo, Indiana. If there's someone higher up the chain than him I would say it's in your best interest to fire him. He's the nastiest, most hateful person I've encountered in a long time. I will never consider Metronet because of him. I've read several bad reviews also. Doug should find another type of work because he's going to cause your business serious issues with his disgusting attitude. I don't want him showing up on my property again. I will have him removed by law enforcement if he's dumb enough to come back. It's in your best interest to relieve him of his duties.

Metronet never contacted or sent us anything in the mail saying they were going to be boring in conduit tubing. Second they walked all over my very experience over seeding. And broke two of my sprinkler heads. I'm definitely not happy. And they bored under our property, not just between the sidewalk and St.

Metronet is building out their fiber network in our neighborhood and have been so incredibly disruptive with their build by utilizing the easements in people's backyards. The crews have completely blocked our driveway for hours and the access to our private backyards is completely inappropriate. There are other ways to handle these builds by not utilizing private yards and easements that are behind private fences.

Spoke with Marcelle C. Informed me I could set up arrangement after partial payment was received after completed told me she couldn’t set up an arrangement. I asked for a 4 day extension due to being garnished and she refused then stated “Your account is getting behind and it will be hard for you to catch up.” That Sunday I brought my account current. Very disrespectful and not pleasant. Definitely made me think about wanting to switch services as we never got any referral bonuses from 2 people or the 100$ visa for signing up. Great internet service, horrible customer service.

Metronet had a faulty yard box which destroyed our tractor blade. The technician who fixed it acknowledged the damage to the blade was related to their equipment and a “ticket” was opened regarding the damage. It was taken to the field supervisor who never followed up and never answered my follow up calls. No customer service.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I regret signing up. They lie to get you to sign up and it's not right. There are hidden fees and they will not give you that $100 gift card promised UNLESS you qualify, which means you have to pay TWO months' worth of service in order to receive it and you can’t change your service plan in 12 months or they’ll charge back your account $100. Not only that but I called to cancel my service and now I have to figure out how to take the box they mounted off of the wall myself because I was told techs do not come out to remove the equipment and I also have to seal the hole that is in my wall, it's sad. Not to mention, they buried the lines today and left dirt EVERYWHERE and left caution tape, just laid around in my backyard. I have trash cans. They could have threw it in the trash. So not happy with this company!! Don’t sign up.

Metronet has left a fiber optic line unburied above the surface of my yard, and my neighbor's yard, now for 183 days... I have spoken with the regional supervisor for their installers, and one of the chief installers for their infrastructure department in council bluffs, Iowa that is serving the Omaha area. I should take that back, they did take some action, somebody came out and took pictures sometime around day 160... Still no action... We've called our customer support line no less than seven times with absolutely no benefit. We've also placed help tickets on their online system, once again no benefit. Their customer service is solely on the surface, do not rely on them for any services whatsoever. Absolutely zero follow-up, zero care for personal property, zero care for doing the right thing as a corporation and resultantly adversely impacting people's ability to use their property. I'm not a customer, never will be.

Horrible pricing. Almost double from the competition, disconnections every week with sometime outage 1hour+ and the customer service horrible, when is problem with their lines they disconnect their phones. When you try to cancel your service good luck because you gonna wait a while plus they will bounce you from department to department trying to sell you more stuff. NOT WORTH IT.

My internet never seemed to reach my living room just 40 away. The service dept. had nice technicians. Polite people yet everyone I spoke to, as soon as they heard that I had a problem they would just hang up. So I cancelled Metronet in January and they didn’t tell me they needed to have service tech get the equipment. So Feb 19th made it out to take my equipment but I was still automatically paying for Metro, once they cancelled Account was billed two more times. I recalled Metronet services but as soon as they saw my number they just hung up on me.. x2. So I called Tech support which looked at my old account and then called the customer service and they even sent me a email canceling the account auto billing.
If I’m billed again I will let you know… but to be clear the service is bad. The techs are nice and customer service is the worst in the world! That’s my honest & true experience. If you go with Metronet ONLY speak to the technical issues people. Never customer service. One such customer told me I could never cancel, and go either Spectrum (which I had already installed to replace In January,) and that I had only one choice that’s Brightday cable.!! I told this foreign speaking mss as me that I was an American and he can’t tell me I have no choice or I had to use a different internet than Spectrum. Then he hung up on me. As did 5 other customer service calls before.
Finally calling Tech again. Tanica searched my account, saw the problem, contacting the billing and got my account closed on the date the nice servicemen removed my equipment in February. The moral of this review is that Metronet can’t even cover a house ground floor one floor house 40 feet long. I only have two televisions and one personal computer and I could never use my personal computer or my living room television because I didn’t even reach 30 feet let alone 40 feet and calling to cancel the service and it came out three times to tell me that my service was working fine and I didn’t need to cancel and this was back in November December.
Not one person ever told me that the equipment had to be returned that I could bend down on some of my most painful knees and try to unscrew these screws that the equipment was attached to my wall or I could actually have some servicemen come out because where else where would I even take my equipment so if you get an Internet, don’t call customer service. Always call the technicians and much smarter people.

I started service with Metronet after I receive their advertisement card at my door. I choose the 1G for a promotional fee of 49.95$ for the first 12 month. I remember asking besides tax is there another fee I will be paying. I was told no. However on my bill there was an additional monthly Tech Assure $12.95. The supervisor stated that I was made aware of the fee because in their welcome email of that added fee and there nothing they can do for me. It just a dishonest way to get customers.

Internet went out Friday. Called. A rep says we’ll have somebody out here Monday so I will miss all the football playoffs this weekend. Thank you, Metronet. I will be at work Monday. I won’t forget this anytime soon.

I was super optimistic and got my account set up in early July. Ended up with multiple cancelled install appointments (their cancellations, not mine) and was informed that a power pole needed to be replaced before they could confirm anything further. It's now December of 2024 and I still haven't received an install date. I received multiple promises for updates (which never happened unless I initiated them) and kept getting false notifications about install dates. No followup from management. Lots of apologies, but no action. I finally cancelled the service that I never actually had. Will likely be posting to multiples sites in order to help others avoid the frustrations, the empty promises for followup, and the awful customer service around it all.

I will never be a customer as they don't respect private property. There tore up my front lawn. They put cable in on my lawn, not easement and then only filled holes leaving mounds of dead grass, 4 large holes to be exact. I don't have a lawn service and I work hard to maintain my lawn. This shows a lack of respect, no call they were doing this. No nothing except some sales rep dropping by because I complained, and mentioned they should pay for damage. I can be mistreated by anyone, but at least those companies didn't rip into private property to do so. Yes it was my lawn and not easement or other multi use area.

They have started bringing in their fiber and it has been a mess around the neighborhood. They unloaded a large amount of trash in front of our home. A dually truck has been left partially in the driving lane and not even next to the curb with cones around it for a couple of weeks. I'm not sure after all of this I trust them.

I switched from Xfinity to Metronet, shortly after they installed the fiber in my neighborhood, a few months ago. It's less than half the price and the speed is amazing. I'm not even hard-wired, like I was with Xfinity, the wi-fi is still faster and more reliable at less than half the price! So far, I've only had one outage and as I was calling customer service, I realized the reason for my outage was because my cat unplugged the hardware. Oops!
The reason I haven't rated 5 stars is because they postponed my installation twice, making it 2 months from the time I ordered service to the time it was installed. I was told they were waiving my installation fee, but they didn't. They told me I would get a $250 gift card after my 2nd bill, so after my 2nd bill I called to ask when I'd get the card and was informed that my first bill didn't count, because that was the installation fee (which I was told was going to be waived, but wasn't). So then after my 3rd bill, I got an email saying "congratulations" and to click a link to enter my info and get the card sent to me in 4-8 weeks (why does it take so long?). However, I was disappointed to see they were sending me $100 card, NOT the $250 card I was sold when I signed up. I am very happy with my service and the price. But I can't rate 5 stars when I feel I was lied to.

We have gone down multiple times in the few months we've had it. Sometimes for a few hours, sometimes an entire day, once an entire weekend and CS couldn't send anyone because "Techs don't work weekends." Latency is also terrible during peak times so gaming and streaming experience is poor when you need it most.

We have a small business and we were eager to get Metronet when it came into our area. Big mistake, frequent internet outages which we had never had previously, customer complaints when using our wi-fi, and little to no customer service. They don't answer and don't return messages. Finally got a human and he said there was no indication that we had experienced outages even though we had no internet as we were speaking. Told me that he would put me on a 72 hour test that would monitor my account continuously and we would talk after. He also said he would personally get my messages so he could respond directly. I messaged him several times over the 3 days whenever we lost the internet, I never heard from him again. They claim we have faster service but no actual practical evidence. Saved only pennies a month for a bunch of headaches. You even have to use area code for all outgoing calls, local or not.

I’ve had this service Nov 8 will make 7 months. My service didn’t work properly until oct 10th. After I had the booster applied which from 49$ now 74$. Also their offer a 200 dollar bonus for the switch to their device I’m still waiting on. I get nothing but a run around and the staff is terrible.

Warning warning!! Beware of hidden fees that they did not tell me or I wouldn’t have changed! I am 77 and on low income and changed to save money not to spend more money! I am very, very unhappy with this company and I’ve only had them a few days! They lied to me. It will be reported to Better Business Bureau. Don’t trust them!! I hate the world today because the people are so unhonest and they’re not kind and they lie to you and think nothing about it and do nothing about it when you call tell them! I just don’t want other older people to be scammed like they scammed me! They told me my first month would be free and I owe them $75 for installation fee, which was never never mentioned! So beware and check out everything before you changed this Company!!!

This company sucks where plans start are not strong enough to keep up with 1 TV stream, YouTube video every 20 minutes it has to catch up with streaming video losses. Connect a lot, never had a problem with T Mobile wireless, only with 2 bars of signal so this fiber hard line is a weaker signal than wireless and you have cables hanging everywhere, old technology that can’t keep up with modern times. Company should just go out of business. They're behind times 1980 technology, pretty sad

Terrible. I got their service and the very next after the lady telling me I would not have any service interruptions for months if not years lo and behold literally have been without internet for over 12 hours. They said they would contact me in advance of planned outages. To find out because they decided they wanted to do maintenance and not tell customers. I work from home and I'm on a tight deadline for a project so I get OT right now and it's literally costing me $100's of dollars per hour without service. They offered a $25 credit that won't pay my bills. Stay away from them!!! They are terrible

This business is engaged in fraud and misrepresentation regarding their service. I contacted Metronet online numerous times and they claimed that they do not offer service in my area, despite the fact that there are Metronet utility plates in my neighborhood (one right next door to my building) and a Metronet office literally half a block away right on my street. They are clearly lying about their service availability. I would not recommend them to anyone, do not trust this business!

Where does one start. I've been with Metronet for 6 months. Other than the first week or so, I have not come even close to the speeds I'm paying for. At least with Spectrum, I was getting my speeds and more. Had a tech come out to see why I wasn't getting the speeds I was paying for. The best he had was check the metronet app. It tells you you are getting your speeds. FYI, that means nothing considering it's a controllable program. It can't be tested beyond the app. Yet my PC less than 10 feet away barely achieved half of what I am paying for. This is for wired and wireless. His response was look, you got 500 that is good; however, still half of my 1000 and this is a top of the line build PC with 2.4 GB interfaces with Wi-Fi 6. 1000 Mb is easily achievable on my PC.
Also, any extra benefits you were to receive for signing up and such, forget about it. The "you will receive your extras in about 8 weeks", that is them hoping you forget and it never comes back up so they can pocket your money. I contacted customer service once and the clown I got was on vacation. Vacation! They don't even have customer reps working? What, they are saving money by not hiring many. The one I got said she would get to my problem when she returned to work. I did get a rep several days later in email only because I wrote a customer service review they didn't like and three weeks later still not solved. Switching was a hassle and I lost shows I liked for increased bandwidth. Well I lost there. My opinion, threaten your provider with switching and watch them give you a lot to not switch. Spectrum has and I'm considering switching back.

Ok, I gave this company 2 different chances at 2 different times. I originally had this company when they first came out because of their phenomenal deal vs ATT. I cancelled in 2 months. The speeds were horrendous. Fast forward a year, they come knocking at my door telling me they have changed. I gave them a second chance, it last 5 months only to have the same issue again. However this is where the story turns bad. Very bad. Report to BBB bad. I cancelled and returned hardware on the 6th, they told me they would be sending me a check for the month I paid for. Nope didn't happen. They even told me my account was cancelled in an email. Today they billed me AGAIN after I have an email showing the account is closed. I log in to their website, and it still shows my account is active. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Still haven't buried cable after more than a week. Was promised for the day after installation but they didn't show up. They showed up days later without a tool to detect buried cable; I had to send them away. This unburied cable issue seems to be a common problem. 70% of their reviews are one star! A woman called to check on "how did the installation go" and I told her I was having trouble setting up my auto-plugs because I suspected perhaps a 5 Ghz issue. She said she would have a tech call me; no one called. I am now getting nervous about this company.

I was very excited about Metronet coming to my neighborhood, I had showed interest on their site years ago. I had intended to sign up but it wasn't fast enough for them. I got several calls from their sales folks, as well as mailers, emails, and door to door salespeople. Sometimes multiple calls from them in one day. Their sales people were beyond pushy and also condescending. This led me to look up their current reviews and pricing, between their reviews, mandatory fees on top of the advertised prices, and the treatment from the sales people I decided to stay with Xfinity.
This did not deter them, they continued to call. The ultimate issue was when they showed up one night to do the "scheduled installation" that I never requested. They lied to my partner and said I signed up, when he asked to see the paperwork all they had was my expressing interest 3 years ago. At this point I feel the company does not have any integrity and would not trust them with my business.

Signed up in May for their service and in August they still hadn’t installed it. Our yard was flagged 6 times in preparation. Finally gave up and cancelled and they truly didn’t care. No apology and no attempt to make it right. Extremely frustrating when all our neighbors had no issues.

I’ve had Metronet for about 9 months. After about 5 months they buried the cable partially. Then they came to partially bury my neighbor's cable and sliced my cable in half with the shovel. Took them 4 days to come out to fix it. They fixed the cable with a splice box. But still didn’t bury the cable all the way. Now my Metronet isn’t working again. It will be 4 days for a technician to come. The guy on the phone from Metronet said they don’t bury the cable fully. Some they leave above ground? What? Someone explain this nonsense. I want a refund for lost Metronet usage.

We had Metronet installed this week. The young man that came to our door selling the service was unethical - I later discovered he lied several times while we were having face-to-face discussions. They came and installed on Monday, and offered no support to get Internet functional within my home. We called customer service to gain some help, and were told we needed to figure it all out. We are in our late 60's - not acclimated in this technology. This was the worst experience that we have ever had. I have no idea if the service will be worth all of our efforts - fingers crossed, but after the install, not holding up much hope.

Way way too many service interruptions. I had their service for 5 months and finally had enough of the downtime. Had to switch back to Sparklight, they hardly ever have issues. I'd say in the 5 months I've had it, they were down 1 to 3 times a month. If they could have better reliability it wouldn't be worth it. Good upload and download speed.

MetroNet has to be the MOST dysfunctional company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with that was FORCED upon myself and my neighbors. Due to a state mandate, MetroNet was legally allowed to drill in my yard! My entire neighborhood's utility easements are in the backyard, yet MetroNet's "drill team" put it in the front yard destroying my yard! There was only supposed to be TWO holes placed at the edges of my property but actually they potted a DOZEN holes and an unleveled EIGHT FOOT trench line their drill created. They DON'T have a "restoration team" either...just the "drill-team" that messed up my yard trying to do a landscaping job with construction workers that have NO EXPERIENCE in that field.
Leaving the actual restoration work up to the homeowner(s) to fix on their own dime. Disgraceful and unprofessional! My entire neighborhood is livid and we're given the run-around with customer service. I don't know how this is considered legal!? None of my neighbors (nor myself) will be receiving this service after how poorly we were treated and mismanaged with our install. STAY AWAY FROM THIS NIGHTMARE COMPANY!!!

Metronet is spotty at best. I have experienced more internet outages with Metronet in the past 60 days than I ever did with Spectrum in the three years I had it. I switched to Metronet because it is advertised as $50/month instead of the $75/month I was paying for Spectrum. My most recent bill for Metronet is $60.61, even though I joined during the $50/month promotion. It is still cheaper than Spectrum, so I can’t really complain. Metronet advertises they have 24/7 customer service, but it is only available 24/7 if you make a phone call. Trying to text an agent or use the chat box on Metronet website has failed both times for me when I tried. I have attached screenshots of my most recent attempt to get in contact with customer service via SMS. Overall I am not happy with the service provided, but I am not dissatisfied enough to make the change back to Spectrum.

NOWHERE in ad did it disclose they would install extenders (without discussing with you) and after initial bill for install and 2 months (so could get $200 gift card) they would charge $19.90 per month DURING 1st year. Their ad is false if not misleading.

MetroNet promised fast and reliable internet. I went with the gig plan since we work from home. I have had more service outages in just three months than I had in 5 years with our previous provider and that included disruptions for hurricanes. You can’t reach customer service. Pick any other provider and save yourself some grief.

I have had Metronet for about 8-9 months now and I would say on average we have absolutely no internet connection for a few hours roughly 3-5 times per week. It has been extremely unreliable and the customer service is appalling. Multiple times I’ve stayed on a 10+ minute hold just for them to say “we’re working on it” without any answers as to why we consistently lose access to internet almost on a daily basis. I will say in their defense when the internet IS in fact working, it’s nearly flawless. I had high hopes for fiber optic internet, but sadly after the year is up I will be looking for a new internet provider and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

My level of frustration with Metronet is off the charts. The service is fine but I have had an unburied cable sitting in my yard since December of 2022. Nobody is willing to help despite making 7 calls.

We were given the wrong impression that our internet speed is 1 Gbps. We’d used their recommended speed test and only came up 215.25 Mbps! The Eero app however shows a little over 1 Gbps all the time in which the install tech proudly points out. It is not true! After further research, you have to CONNECT DIRECTLY, i.e., WIRED, to get the 1 Gbps. In other words, you have to run bunch of cables for each devices to get the 1 Gbps speed. Since theirs only one available connection in their router, you have to invest on purchasing a switch. Our connection over WiFi is not near the speed of our router even our devices are near it. Lastly, we need to have an older router to use in order for devices that don’t accept WiFi6. These pertinent informations should had been DISCLOSED to us. Not an honest approach!

I have been a Metronet customer now for about 6 months. "When" the internet is working, speeds are mostly what they claim, but vary greatly depending on time of day. Metronet in my area (E. North Carolina, Onslow County) is very unreliable. On a weekly (if not occasionally more) basis, my internet connection goes down. Granted, usually it's not for very long, but for time sensitive online activities such as working from home, video teleconferencing and online gaming, this ISP just is not reliable. I literally cannot count on all my fingers and toes the number of times I have had to restart a project because the internet goes down. At this point, if there is something I need reliable, consistent internet for I use my 5 year old AT&T iPhone as a hotspot.
The contractors who installed my internet also damaged my concrete driveway, and even though Metronet created a "repair ticket," no repairs were ever made, so I guess this is yet another company that hires incompetent, poorly trained contractors whose mistakes and negligence cost me money unnecessarily (at least that has been the case so far). If you do something on the internet, during the day, that requires a strong, reliable, consistent connection, DO NOT USE METRONET. Stick with one of the big ISPs in your area or prepare for a let down. I guess this is one of those instances where you get what you pay for.

Metronet did a great job setting up my service... All the techs were very professional and got me up and running on Thursday March 21, 2024. That's where the problems began... The cable is laying on our lawn, 23 days after installation. We are building a Shed in our back yard.. soon a very large truck will drive on our lawn carrying a shed.... there is no way to move the cable... The truck will drive over the exposed cable. I contacted Metronet support. They reported the cable burial is by another company and they cannot control their timing. Metronet gave no recommendation. Cable burial is a BIG problem that Metronet is not addressing.

Metronet busted through my water and sewer pipes in June 2015 when they bored their fiber optic cable. I did not request them to come onto my property but they didn't need my permission since the city gave it to them. They don't, however, have permission to bust through sewer and water pipes and not take responsibility for the damages. In June 2015, I came home to my downstairs flooded with sewage after Metronet bored fiber optic cable through my pipes. That same day they busted my water line as well but that remained a secret (by them) until Jan 2024 when I found out about it cause the water line they secretly repaired busted open and caused me to have outrageous water and sewer bills. Got the water company and plumber out to see what was going on. The Leak Detection company couldn't come out until Feb 6, 2024 and they located the leak which was in the straight path that Metronet had also bored thru the sewer.
Peterman Brothers plumbing used a Hydrovac to carefully wash away dirt and grass and vacuum it all out cleanly. Hydrovac is expensive but needed for excavation when around gas/sewer/water/power lines and especially if you need to take clean and clear photos/videos. When they reached the leak there was the Metronet fiber optic cables and my water line spewing tons of water right on top of the Metronet cables.
Peterman discovered that Metronet had bored thru the water line and then "repaired" the line with "shark bite fittings" to piece the line back together. Peterman said that shark bite fittings are not the proper materials to repair an underground main water line and those fittings had busted open. They said I had a 0.3gal water leak per MINUTE which is 18gal of water PER HOUR. I had extremely high water bills December 2023 to February 2024 due to the massive underground water leak. I am furious that Metronet never told me they hit the water line. Let's not forget they also hit the sewer pipe but couldn't run away from that because sewage backed up into my downstairs and caused much damage.
State Farm paid for the in-home damages and they had to send Metronet to collections to get repaid. Metronet had some people come out and replace my broken sewer. However, it wasnt until Feb 6, 2024 that we discovered that the water line had also been hit after the leak detection found out where the leak was coming from. I had to take out a massive loan in Feb 2024 to get the water line repaired. That secret repair job Metronet did would have probably forever gone unnoticed except that the shark bite fittings they used came apart from the water line and caused a massive water leak.
I have called Metronet 3 times since Jan 2024 and have never received any call backs. I even got a Construction issue Ticket # in late Jan 2024 and STILL have gotten 0 call backs. I even mailed an expensive CERTIFIED Priority Mailer to Metronet Corporate office in Evansville, IN 3/4/24 and I received confirmation that it was received on 3/6/24 and STILL they completely ignore me.
I sent their Legal Dept a 5pg typed letter explaining the entire situation going back to Metronet hitting the sewer in 2015, several documents from the leak detection co showing where the water leak was found, invoices and statement from Peterman Bros. plumbing that Metronet hit the line and proof they tried repairing it but their repair had fully failed. Also sent them copies of my water and sewer bills, and tons of photos with labels on the back explaining each photo. But yet after all this they still REFUSE to contact me. Next step is legal action unless we can settle this out of court. I have no other choice.

I started using Metronet about 2 1/2 years ago. Of course the price was $45 a month and the last bill I got was $91. Many times I come home from work and I need to use the Internet to pay bills, etc, and the Internet is down. I have to call to get a credit when the Wi-Fi is down. I was waiting for TMobile to enter our market. Finally, I was fed up with double the rate so I went to TMobile immediately after they came to our town.
Metronet not only had my Internet but also it had a landline phone. So on November 17, 2023 I ported my number over to MagicJack using my T-Mobile Internet. The Metronet lady gave me a credit and said I probably won't have to pay anything after this and I kept on getting charged for the phone even though I returned the equipment and I ported the phone number over. How do you take away a phone number from an Internet provider yet they keep on charging you for it? The bottom line is the employees are very, very nice. Service is not so great and be very very careful if you decide to cancel your service. Make sure you send that equipment in FAST. But if you are deleting a phone line and porting it over, make sure they don't continue to charge you.

I would think very carefully before signing up with Metronet. At first I thought they were a good company and a great value. But after one year of service my monthly price went way up (I signed up for $60/month and now pay $100) and my service is far worse! The service is choppy and unpredictable. What's more I cannot run my vacuum on their Wi-Fi because they don't have 2G in my area! Metronet seems great at first but buyer beware! I'm so disappointed.

Since day one I have had connection problems. I keep losing internet on my phone and streaming TV service. Call Metronet and was told this service really isn't made for ranch style houses. Why the hell did they offer it in my neighborhood then? I was also told on the phone the signal was only good for 20 ft. Everything I read talks about staying within 100 ft for best reception. I barely get service in my living room. It's only 25' from the router. My next door neighbors are having the same problems. I would not recommend this service to anyone!!

Metronet contracted a company to install fiber optics in our neighborhood, even though we didn't plan to sign up with their service. This company hit a gas line causing many people in our neighborhood to evacuate their homes for several hours. A couple weeks later they hit an electrical line and knocked the power out in several blocks for 8 1/2 hours. Needless to say, we lost all the food in our refrigerators, as did all the neighbors. I contacted the company twice to tell them the problems we were having and received no response at all. In my opinion, they care nothing about customer service.

Metronet was in our area installing new lines and cut through our Invisible Fence. The contractor instructed us to have the fence fixed and Metronet would pay the Invisible Fence bill. I sent several copies of the bill to Metronet in July 2023 to pay and in November after numerous calls and bad or no information available we gave up. Metronet's system requires you to get a ticket # which you can follow until your problem is "completed". Customer Service has no access to the information behind the scenes and will not allow you to talk directly to the person handling the ticket to find out what "completed" means. No payment was made from Metronet and we were exhausted from the experience. PS: Metronet owes us $139.10!

This was one of the biggest bait and switches I've ever experienced. I had a salesman come through my neighborhood to promote the Metronet service which had been installed through my neighborhood a few months early. The salesman told me the service would be 60 for 1-gig speed internet which was significantly cheaper than what I was paying for with Specturm. I was also told that price would be there for 24 months. I was told there would be a 50 install fee cost. The installation occurred about a week later at the end of October 2023. Everything went fine and service was good but when I got the first invoice. It was $156. The 1-gig was 90, not 60 and there was a 12 tech fee that was not conveyed to me. The install fee was 50 so at least they got that right.
I called immediately to figure out what was going on. I was told, after a 45 minute wait that they were sorry for the miscommunication but there was no promotion in my area. I immediately told them I wanted to cancel but they said I had to take the equipment to the UPS store to mail back before they would send me a new prorated invoice and cancel my service. I had the service for 5 days and the website indicated that I had been a customer for a couple weeks. I still have not received an packing slip and will be calling daily until I receive it. I also texted the sales rep who had sold me on the service and told him the situation and he said the price should be $83. Still $23 more than what I was told. He asked to get back to me and I told him no. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, not so fast my friend. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.

We had someone come to our door offering this service since it was newly available in our area, and we already had another Internet provider. The representative said they can install their Internet and we could try it out for 1 month for free to see if we liked it better than our current provider. They installed it September 8 and we were billed for September on the 24th. I can't trust this company now and want to switch back to our old provider.

I DID NOT EVEN USE A GIG OF INTERNET FROM THEM AND THEY WANT ME TO PAY OVER 400 DOLLARS. All the bad reviews are spot on. It is a scam service. They dig holes in your yard and hire crack heads to go door to door that work off commission and will tell you anything to get the sale. My guy told me it would be a free trial 1 month and if I do not like the internet I will not be charged a penny. Well that was a complete lie. I called them to cancel a week after having the internet and they tell me to return the modem to the post office. I return the modem and continue to get bills in the mail racking up over 400 dollars. After being on hold for 45 minutes I get hung up on and have to start over and a second 45-minute wait happens until I get another person, I was told they would remove the past due month but THAT I STILL HAVE TO PAY $300. I told them I only used the internet for literally 1 day before I went back to my old internet provider.
There is no call back option for the customer service. You have to listen to elevator music on repeat for 45 minutes. I asked for a supervisor and they told me in order to talk to a supervisor, you have to wait for up to 24 hours before they will call you back. I am yet to get a phone call back. They left the fiber line draped across my front yard for OVER A MONTH. They said they would be back to bury the line and they never did. They left a huge hole for the vehicle tire to fall into every time we pull into the driveway... The list goes on.

They came over to do the install. They tore up the side of my house and the drywall inside my house and the man was here for 9 hours and then the service would stop working 10 to 15 times a day. I could not do my job. Tech support was too stupid to figure out what wasn't working. All they kept telling me to do is unplug it and plug it back in. I had them for less than a week. I have lost wages because their service is not reliable. Do not get them.

I had been a loyal customer to Metronet for about 7 or 8 years while living in Indiana. I had an issue with my own personal Orbi router system due to a power surge about 4 years ago, called Metronet and they sent a tech out who diagnosed the problem and set me up with one of their routers and satellite units. I explained to him that I wouldn't be using their system for very long as I preferred my Orbi system and I ordered a new Orbi router. After having received my new router, I contacted Metronet customer service rep for instructions on how to return the equipment because I did not want to be charged for it. He then instructed me to just return the satellite unit and keep the router in case I needed it again. I did not think anything of it and threw it in a box thinking that It was mine to keep.
Fast forward to May of this year 2023 when I decided to sell my home and relocate to Alabama. I had packed up and returned all of the Metronet equipment in my home and ask to have my service discontinued, with the exception of this router which I was told to keep and at this point was packed up and sent to storage along with my other items that were to be moved. A couple weeks later after having turned in the equipment to them I get an email stating that they had received all of the equipment except for this router. I immediately called them and informed them that I had tried to return the router several years prior but was told to keep it, not even realizing that I still had the darn thing because it was of no use to me.
I further explained that I was in the process of relocating out of state and that the router probably got pack away with my things and was currently in storage while I was waiting for my home to finish being built. I informed the rep that as soon as I was able to retrieve my things from storage, I would look for and return the router back to them, but it should not be my fault as I had requested to return it to them some years back but was told to keep it. He said it would be fine and sent me the return information needed to send the equipment back from my location. I packed it up and sent it back via UPS as instructed.
They however still sent me a bill which included the cost of the router and for service until the router was returned to them even though I had not ever used the router nor did I have use of internet service the entire time my things were in storage. After first contacting them I finally got the rep to check and verify that the router had been returned as promised. She verified it and then sent an updated bill but they still want to charge me a $79.00 fee for service that I did not have or could not use. So much for being a loyal customer to them. It's sad that corporate greed is always more important than good customer service.
I would highly recommend to anyone that you never accept any equipment from them that you don't require. They are not willing to work with good paying customers who despite their overpriced fees have always paid them on time for years. Even if Metronet had service in this area, I would never use them again and highly recommend that unless you have no other options, You should not use them either. Unfortunately, where I lived in Indiana, we had no other option.

I ordered Metronet to replace much too expensive Comcast. I ordered it 3 years ago, but finally had it installed recently. My installer was awesome. He was courteous, articulate, informative, and helpful. Once it was installed, I was blown away at the speeds. I was very concerned about the wire just laying on the grass in the back. I have a dog who loves to chew that stuff just because he can. I called C/S and spoke to a lady who told me she'd do her best to get this taken care of STAT. She told me if it wasn't done within a week to call her back.
Lo and behold, two hours later a tech showed up to bury the cable. I was very pleasantly surprised to say the least. I do have one gripe, the Eeros they used are Gen 2 from 2018ish. Granted they work great, but I was hoping for the latest Gen, or at least something closer to them. Overall though, I can't say enough nice things about Metronet. Highly recommended to anyone looking for fast ISP with great C/S. Cheers.

In February of this year, my mother had what is considered a "fill up" in her home. After several weeks of investigation, it was discovered that Metronet drilled through her sewer lines in 3 different spots when installing fiber optic cable. We contacted Metronet 7 times before we even received a response. In May, Metronet finally stepped up and got the sewer lines repaired. It took a while to get the repairs made to the inside of our Mother's home, but they are now complete.
My Mother had to pay her insurance deductible, and a few bills to have the situation investigated. Her out of pocket expense is $2,377.00, which we have repeatedly asked Metronet to reimburse her for. We have submitted all of the documentation to Metronet and asked numerous times for the funds. NO RESPONSE!!! Metronet admitted their negligence in this matter when they repaired her lines. Our Mother is 83 years old, and on a limited income. We just want Metronet to do what is RIGHT on HER behalf!

I am not a Metronet customer, thankfully. However, during installation of their fiber lines in my area, they sliced my current provider line. When asking about a solution, they are apparently unable to touch and/or fix a line from another provider, even if they are responsible for the damage. Absolutely unreal. If their internet is in any way a reflection of their installation practices, I would stay away from this company.

I was SO excited for Metronet when we saw them installing the fiber lines in my neighborhood. The box is right in-front of my house but since day 1 I have had nothing but issues! The people who go door to door and get you to sign up signed me up for an instillation date. That date comes and goes, no one comes. Customer service says I didn’t have any scheduled services that day and rescheduled me for like a month later. It was supposed to be between 12-2 they showed up at 730am. The guy was rude and condescending and made me put the set up in my kitchen and then just left. Didn’t show me how anything worked or anything. I then contact customer service because I’m hardly getting 100 and I’m paying for 1gig. My TV won’t connect, says it’s not fast enough.
My daughter's Amazon pad is buffering like crazy which it never did on CenturyLink so I call in and they have me try all the normal things like they always did which I already had but did again for them. Nothing, they say they will send a tech out. Takes about a week. I work from home so I used my phone to work from most of that week. When the tech comes out he was SO rude and said his little machine says it’s 1 gig and my computer (my work 2021 MacBook) must not be compatible for such high speeds- same with my daughters pad. Then he said my house was too big to get good signal to my office. My house is 992sq ft and they made me put it in my kitchen so it was central to upstairs and downstairs. They then tell me I must have messed with the connection because it’s installed with wiring that’s not approved MetroNet wiring and switch that out….
We still aren’t getting the speeds I’m paying for so they begrudgingly switch out the boxes. Still no luck. They tell me that they can’t help me, it is what it is pretty much. Which isn’t acceptable. I work from home so I need reliable internet. I try customer support one more time, no luck. Then we lose internet completely and I call in and they say there is a weather related outage and will be cleared up soon. By Sunday still no internet. I call back in and now it’s a 3rd party blocking their signal. So I work from my phone some more. Their service has been out for over a week.
They don’t apologize. They aren’t trying to offer solutions or offer for you to have to not pay for that week of lost service, nothing. So I tell them I’m cancelling. They say, "Okay you need to return your stuff", and I’m like yes I understand. Then I get a bill and I’m like, "I already canceled why are you billing me still?" Their answer? "We bill you until we receive your products back THEN we cancel your service." They are HORRIBLE. Do not I repeat do not switch to them!!!!

Metronet has been incredibly disappointing. Internet has been down almost a week. Technician came out and was unable to troubleshoot. Had to make another appointment 48 hours out (no escalation of issues-all appointments are 48 hours out). AND I pay extra monthly for a higher level of tech support. Very disappointing. I was really enjoying Metronet until my internet went down again. They sent someone down here to fix it and it was not resolved. The worker walked out and told me he couldn’t fix it. He came down here twice and nothing fixed. That same day they told me it was a terminal problem and it would be fixed by tomorrow morning. Internet is still down. Called again and they said it would be fixed within 24 hours. 2 days later and it’s still down. It’s been almost a week. I’ve been lied to and no one has came out here to fix this. I am very upset and disappointed. If someone cared it would have been fixed by now.

Had called because 1gbps line was not delivering more than 300mbps wireless. The gateway they provided from Eero being the second gen Gateway Pro (not the Pro 6 or Eero 6) model b01001, DOES NOT reach more than 600mbps total. The person on the line Cindy first said it's totally normal for speeds to be around 300mbps wireless and that it was due to my devices. I informed her everything was logged off other than 1 device and that I speed tested across many single online devices and that it wasn't slow for that reason.
She then told me it was because I changed routers and that people achieve 1gpbs on their EERO gateway router (which is not true). Eero themselves on their site tell you that router cannot go over 600mbps wireless on their site tied to that model number I have provided. So she went from saying it was the router, to my devices. I had 1 device on. I had upgraded to an Eero Pro 6E which was a lightyear more advanced than the Gateway Pro they hooked me up with.
She went from arguing that 300mbps is normal to saying people get up to 1gbps with router which is factually untrue per Eero. On top of that it completely contradicted her point about 300mbps being normal. Then she went into a whole thing about peak hours. I told her even at 3am, the speeds never touch 500mbps down.
The part that made the least sense is she was telling me that was normal while my upload could reach over 850 wireless mbps (when using the upgraded mesh Eero and not the outdated one they provided me). While upload did achieve that speed, download never changed. She was unwilling to provide further assistance and grew more rude and more condescending and because of that, we are leaving Metronet for Xfinity. We do not like being treated rudely by someone who isn't knowledgeable who was also unwilling to look any further into it.
If you want a cheap plan that achieves 33% of the speed you are paying for with reasonably good uptime Metronet is fine. If you want speeds that are close to what are advertised, go somewhere else. You may pay little more, but when I have had similar issues with Xfinity or other ISPs, they've come out and adjusted my setup unlike metronet. The rudeness of the customer support agent is the reason we won't bother even trying to pursue a solution with them. We are done.

We were very excited about MetroNet coming into town, had even pre signed up before they were even in town. Now I'm in the middle of arguing with one of their lawyers they sicked on me when I complained about them shutting our power down at our business and it cost us a couple grand to do it. I know what lawyers cost and they don't even read a couple emails for what I lost.

I had my service installed in March with the promise that the line would be buried as soon as the weather improved. It's now September and the line is still not buried. Since installation the line has been broken twice resulting in days of outage. I have called a dozen times and begged them to bury the line. They really couldn't care less about me as a customer. They continue to promise and never actually do anything. After the most recent break they reinstalled a line that was too short, so it's currently running over my driveway. This was supposed to be a temporary fix (a month ago now). Is there any point in calling them? None. They don't care.

Anytime I've had an issue with the service, the customer service is amazing. I just the customer service member and tell them what's going on and they send somebody out and they fix it. MetroNet gets it knocked out quickly. The internet speed is great because I have teenagers and a boyfriend, and they play that new Xbox X and there's no lag time on the games. Also, and I work from home. It doesn't interrupt with my laptop or cell phones. The internet speed I'm paying for is amazing. Sign up for it.

I'm satisfied with everything. The cost is reasonable compared to others for the amount of power. The plan is very good and it's the best service that's offered in this area. The installation and customer service, when I've had to call, are fine. Also, there were few outages. Since we weren't in the home for a month, MetroNet held our subscription for $5 a month, and reconnected it when we got back in. They were very accommodating.

The customer service is good. The installer that came out was very good. I was kind of an annoying kind of customer. I asked a lot of questions but he was patient with me. He wanted to make sure that the system was in the right areas. He wanted me to have the best thing. Also, MetroNet's pricing is good. But I don't like the way my yard looks from MetroNet digging it up. They had to bury the line thing and it left a big old ugly scar in my grass. I was excited about the sale part of the process but when I actually had the Wi-Fi, I'm not impressed. I decided to switch because I was sold about the things that it would not gonna do, like buffering. But when I load up stuff, it still buffers. So I don't see any difference with the speed.

Metronet's service is good. However, I've had problems with them burying the wires in the ground. They had to re-dig the wires twice and it took quite a while for them to come out. The first time, it took them two weeks for them to come out, and the second time, it took three weeks. But that was the only hiccup that I've had with them. I love the service. I also love the fact that I can call and speak to someone within this country instead of being outsourced, and the fact that they have an office nearby. They also have great quality as far as internet and customer support is very helpful.

I’m happy with the phone and internet. But the cable, not so much. Just constant, bad service going in and out, disruption, bad picture. Then, it always flashes up the blue screen that says, “Don't worry. We're aware of the problem and working on it. Sorry for the inconvenience.” I also had a lot of problems with my internet. I’ve spoken with the service reps at MetroNet and the techs, and had them out to my house several times. Some of the reps weren’t so good. But the techs that came out to the house were really good.

We experienced one little snafu with Metronet and that was getting the cable buried. When they buried my neighbor’s, they cut mine. When they buried mine, they cut my neighbor’s. So they came out one day and did both of them at the same time, made sure they didn't cut either one. Other than that, everything has been great. Connection and speed are very good.

About 1 month and a half ago I accidentally cut the cable. The new cable line has not been buried yet! Waiting patiently for it to be buried again before I cut it again. I did call last week to make sure my name is on the list for the line to be buried. They assured me it was, but nothing has happened as of yet.

Metronet has been amazing since day 1 of service. I stream and compete in esports and have never once had an issue. I get alerts about maintenance updates and outages before and when they happen which is beneficial to me when working from home. If you're not using Metronet, you doing internet wrong.

Since having MetroNet installed we have experienced several outages due to damage done to the fiberoptic cable. Every time that I called to report the outage the customer service technician I spoke with was professional, empathetic, and diligently worked to get our service restored in a timely manner. The service technicians that responded and made the necessary repairs were top-notch, quickly and efficiently resolving our issues, taking the time to explain what happened and how the situation was remedied. Overall, we are very happy with changing our service provider to MetroNet for value and customer service.

They will tell you it's one price with these promos for a year and they didn't even add my promo. I had to call and complain. Then they added them and 4 months later my price went up another 5$. Then another 6 months it went up another $10 so they just constantly take price higher and higher for no reason. I'd recommend going somewhere that didn't do this. Other places offer discounts for disabled ppl or people on food stamps or lower income. This place doesn't try to help. I've had a wire down in my hard for about 8 months. Called them 3 times. They just show up. Say it's not their cord and leave it. They don't do anything. Bad service and internet will go out for a weekend with no notice, no contact to tell ppl what's happening. You have to call, sit on the phone for 30 mins to talk to someone for them to take 20 mins to tell you that they have service down for the whole state as of right now and can't tell you anything else. It's a joke sometimes.

They came in and did the install for the internet. They put some boxes in my living room and I have options to move it around a little bit. Having MetroNet, I have choices which is nice to not have to be glued to a TV. It's nice that the shows are just there whenever you want them.

The sales rep got my TV down and internet down to $184 so I took that deal and let my previous provider go. The quality of service is good but the TV sucks. It goes out constantly and disconnects from the internet. They brought me another box but that went out and they brought a third box. I call the number on the back of one of those plugins and they get right on it. One night, I called them at three o'clock in the morning. They worked with me very nicely, although I called up raising hell. They've all been very professional and they talk good.

I got the TV and the internet with MetroNet and I feel good about them. When they put the service up, it was great. I've only had one to come up because I was re-siding my house and I needed him to take the box off while we put the siding on, then put it back on. They had the siding off all the way around the box. When the rep came, he stayed here till they put the siding on so he could put it back on without having to do a second call, and that was great. The only thing is that with live TV, the sound and the picture don't match up occasionally. It will catch up eventually but a lot of times, I rewind and forward a lot. And for some of it, it will catch up if I quit playing around with it. Other than that, they're very reliable.

MetroNet is the better service than a cable-based one because they have fiber and they're rolling that out directly to the house, which is by far the best solution. A lot of internet providers do not have good upload speeds and that was a big deal for me. Their team is fabulous. I only ever spend less than five minutes on the phone. They always know what to do and get my problem solved.

MetroNet has professional service. The guy that came and installed showed me how to use the app, to work the internet. If your kid is on punishment, instead of taking their device, you can turn them off the internet anywhere you are. MetroNet is better and high speed. We had a bad hurricane, but I was still able to watch TV and my internet didn't budge. I had called them out because something had happened and the service wasn't working. They came out right away and fixed the problems.

My experience with MetroNet, from customer service to the techs that came out and hooked up my system, was excellent. The only issue I had was the subcontractors that came out after to bury the line kicked some dirt over it. It was cut a couple of times. But that wasn't the fault of MetroNet. I've already gotten five or six people to change over to MetroNet. I had Comcast and they were a nightmare to deal with.

When I talked to a representative at MetroNet, I liked everything I heard and I've been happy with their service ever since. The quality has been fantastic. I use it for streaming a lot and I use it for my phone. I've had a few equipment problems and when I called, they were quick to come out and fix them. Also, I had a problem with my router and they changed it. They said it was an upgraded router. There was a different version and the new one they put in worked better. They've always been very helpful and very informative.

MetroNet's reps have been fantastic. The first day we had it, it was down for a couple of hours. But they told us that they had an issue and they were working on the situation. They were out working in front of our house and they had it right back up shortly. My service has been great. Get MetroNet because they're very reliable. I had the interior of my house painted in January and the painters moved the table that held the computer and the MetroNet connection. In the process, they cut it because they were moving things everywhere. After they left, I realized I didn't have internet. I called MetroNet and they sent somebody out pretty soon and the tech fixed it. Also, with them, I don't have to worry about storms. I'm very pleased.

I was promised service for $69.99 plus a small amount of tax...no hidden fees. "Whole home wifi" was advertised as free for one year. Instead, then added $10 for whole home wifi and $10 for "Technology Fee." I tried to cancel and was told to take the equipment to UPS store, where it would be packaged and mailed for free, before my service could be cancelled. Unfortunately, I had signed up for auto payments from my bank account. Metronet's website would not allow me to cancel. Not only did they continue to charge me for the whole month, but they charged me $147, for service that was supposed to be $70 a month! I convinced my bank to block any further payments to them, or I don't suspect I would ever stop being charged.

When I first got my internet with Metronet, it ran super fast and was in the 300s for download and upload. Now, it still runs and most of the time, my streaming TV is working fine. Sometimes, it goes out. It’s blinking then it picks back up. The download right now is 171 and the upload is 241, which are still good speeds. It's just my internet is no longer as fast as before.
The cost ended up being a little more than what I was paying AT&T. But it’s way better and faster than AT&T. Metronet is more direct and it’s good internet. They keep sending me ad advisory that the internet is down and they’re working on it. But mine never goes down during those times. The only other issue I had with them was I was supposed to get the first month free and the free installation but they charged me for both. I had to call them up and they had to refund it. Other than that, I recommended Metronet to my neighbor that had Spectrum. He thinks Metronet is they’re much faster than Spectrum and he's not having trouble either.

My wife works for a hospital so it’s very important for us to have internet. I usually have to call Metronet when I have issues and they’re usually there either the same day, the next day or the day after. It's a pretty quick response. Customer service was great. People answered my phone call and were very helpful. They did everything they could to get everything taken care of for me. I had a couple of service issues early in the system and eventually started to realize that I had to do my own type of protecting the cable. Apparently, whoever buries the cable isn't getting it low enough. Once I got that sorted out, I haven't had any internet connection issues.
The quality of service is good. Cost is about average like everything else I pay. The only thing I don’t like is the fact that I have to pay an additional $10 to have a public IP address, which is annoying. Normally, I wouldn’t have to pay. With every other internet company I’ve ever had, I always had a public IP address. I have to have a public IP for access to my home automation system, cameras, security, and all that stuff. Other than that I’d recommend Metronet.

I got internet and it was 105. I spoke with somebody here a couple of weeks ago and they were able to give me another promotion down to 70 some dollars a month. At the very beginning, we had a little hiccup about the installation. Other than that, my overall service has been great and I'm very satisfied. I had to call them due to me forgetting to pay and not being able to pay. The service is about to be shut off here soon due to nonpayment. As soon as I’m able to get the funds, I’m definitely gonna pay Metronet to continue the services. Based on paying a month in advance, they gave me a number for a service where I can fill out the information. I just had to call in and they would take $30 off my monthly bill for proof for that type of service.

The two gentlemen who came and hooked us up were very friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciated that. They were able to get in and out with not a lot of time spent. They asked if I had any questions but at the time, I didn't think that I had to re-hook up my Roku, which didn't work quite right after they left. But it works now. As far as speed goes, MetroNet is better than the previous provider that I had. The quality of service and the price are better too. People ought to try it out. We've been satisfied. If there was a way to give us some sort of cable status at a very low price, that would be a help. Because there are streaming companies who require you to have cable TV and I don't want to have cable TV again, per se. But if I could get something for X dollars a month that I find reasonable, that would help me get things like Fox News.

A lot of times, I'd be watching TV and I would lose internet service. Then, all those times that they were fixing on the server or I was without internet, they don't deduct that from the bill. They still charge me what they say they're gonna charge me and I don't like that. At any given moment, I can be without internet and for that reason, I've considered going back to my previous provider. They need to do something about that because they’re gonna lose customers because of that. But other than that, every time I call, I get an answer and I speak to a human and they are cordial. Whether it be the office or troubleshooting, they are always nice.

MetroNet is much better as far as reliability and what sort of traffic they allow. There is no throttling. Also, their reps have always been good to me. There was a time when I needed some equipment replaced. I had the person's personal cell to text him and let him know how things were going. And, if I need to get back in touch with someone who's on my case, it's much better.

I have been a customer of Metronet for years. In the past 4 months I have been a little dissatisfied with their product. I have had a technician to my home 4 times this year. Once I was told it was my TV which it was not. I almost purchased a new tv until my son came and fixed my service. I like their lineup for tv, but I feel their rates are out of hand. I do not have the current equipment that other MetroNet customers have. I was told by last technician that he would report my equipment to my home was not current with the signals yet I have not had anyone schedule an appointment to update the service into my home.

I really don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say Metronet may be one of the best companies in the nation. I’m a former C***ca*t customer and to put it lightly they were always overpriced, frustrating to work with, and the customer service was horrible. When I switched to metronet I started receiving way faster service for less money. I’ve never had an issue with reduced speeds. I’ve only had pleasant conversations on the phone with their employees. Great customer service is dying all across America but this is one of those rare companies that truly puts the customer first.
The bills are easy to understand, the service is incredible, the prices are fair, and they are just so easy to work with. Their only downfall is they don’t offer their service in more areas. I’m very lucky I do. I honestly don’t write reviews often but they’ve improved my internet experience in so many ways that I figured writing about them is the least I could do.

I've dealt with reps coming out and they've been really nice and very helpful. They fixed the problems that I had that came up. My experience has been really pretty good. But I don't like that MetroNet is that they have these times where the whole system shuts down. It's happened several times. Sometimes it happens late in the evening, but a lot of times it’s around 7:00. Also, $100 for internet service is a little bit expensive. I was promised 1,000 megs of download speed and 800 upload. But I've never gotten that. The best I've gotten is about 800 download speed and upload is usually around 300. I've run speed tests on that periodically, and it keeps telling me the same meg. Sometimes the download speed will be low, like 400 and 500 with a 200 upload.

I like the service. But when the main line was cut, it took Metronet almost a day to get that fixed. This happened for another two times and they took a couple of hours. I didn’t have any of these issues with my previous provider. I understand Metronet is a new company, but it’s a little downfall because I work from home. When I called in, I got an answer right away. But when I asked for a credit, they said, “Oh, you need to call back in. We need to figure out how much longer this is.” So I was a little skeptical.

The internet works perfectly. Comcast worked fine too but it cost twice as much. MetroNet works just as well and it doesn't cost nearly as much. But the internet goes out about three times a month. Then, I have to reset the box and the internet goes back on after it refreshes itself. That takes 15 minutes. But that's my only complaint. Other than that, go for this service.

I didn’t like MetroNet’s cable service. Every 15 minutes, it goes out and I’d have to hit the guide button and go down a channel, and click on it, and then it’d come back on. Then I’d have to hit the guide again and go back to the channel I was watching. The techs got here four times trying to fix it. It wasn’t their fault. They tried to direct wire them as well as wireless and it kept on doing the same thing, over and over. I got tired of it. I called and told MetroNet to turn it off, and I got DISH. My cable bill is $150 cheaper now than it was with MetroNet. But we kept their phone service and internet. Both are alright. The reps were all extremely good. They were nice and always did everything they could.

Three years ago, I was totally fed up with the cable company we were with, and I changed to MetroNet. We were with TV, internet, and telephone until last January because of the fact of beautiful reception on everything. But our TV was like a computer and it would reboot itself. The tech changed all things and it was okay for all of a day but it did it again. They did everything humanly possible. They always tried very hard to get the situation taken care of. But my TV did not like the cable. So, that taken out.
Now we have internet and telephone through them and I cannot speak highly enough of it. The only thing is many times I have to dial 9, the 260 because of where the MetroNet is located. But really, it's wonderful. I'm very satisfied.

We used to have Comcast then AT&T U-verse. We switched for pricing and speed. We've used MetroNet ever since. My husband's business uses MetroNet and we use it in our home as well. For our other properties, it was our only choice. MetroNet was really easy to set up. It was less than a 10-minute phone call and a technician came out to set it up. He was great and explained everything. So far, the internet connection has been good. Customer support has been great too.

I use MetroNet for a mix of internet and TV. On average, there are three cell phones in the house on the Wi-Fi at all times. There are four different Rokus, and then a laptop and a game console all on the Wi-Fi as well. I've had one minor issue with the wires which was fiber optics related but other than that, I've had no other issues since I've had it.

MetroNet has been good. The only thing I'm having trouble with is trying to make my printer Wi-Fi connect and it won't see it. I still have Suddenlink and I've been taking everything off that circuitry and putting it on MetroNet and things seem to be okay. Other than that, I'm happy with them.

MetroNet's initial price was agreeable. I felt comfortable with the sales rep and I liked the idea of getting rid of the satellite dish. But I was a little surprised that they sold me the internet for $49.99 and claimed that the price would never go up but we're now at $70 and I've had their service for five years. They're comparable and competitive though. Every time we call, everybody's helpful. However, we had some issues here recently, and we were getting a lot of buffering, particularly when we were on Zoom. We were also losing connection on the internet so we called in and they came out and changed the modems. That was an improvement. We’re still experiencing some disruption but it's not as bad as it was. We’re satisfied overall.

When the MetroNet sales rep came out here, he offered us a really great deal. Being fiber optic and we had unlimited internet, we could choose our speed. The service is great. Occasionally, the TVs will start freezing up. Sometimes it drops the signal, which can be a real problem. Our daughter has cerebral palsy and she likes to watch her programs. So, when that starts happening, then we have to put on something else like her Blu-ray player and she misses out on the programming that she chooses.
What I don't like is their prices are getting up equal and higher than what we had with Xfinity. So, that could have a big influence on whether we keep the service or if we go to someone else who becomes available in our area. We might reduce quality to save some money. We haven't really called and complained about it, but our monthly bill is pushing $300. We have the telephone, the TV packages and the DVR, and I've considered dropping the premium channels, but I'd only save $30. One thing nice about MetroNet is they pass on the charges to the people. What they get charged, they charge the people for their premium packages or for the premium channels. But then, their premium packages for television for all the other channels is where it really hurts.

I have the internet with MetroNet and when I run into a problem, I call the customer service number. And they give me somebody with technical support. Both the customer service and technical support are very friendly. They are genuinely concerned and try to help although I haven't gotten any help from the things that they have tried.

I've had MetroNet for 10 years and in that time, we were out a remote control. The service person came the next day and replaced that, and checked everything out. We were out one of the cable boxes and they came and replaced that very quickly too. They also helped me set up my router when I got the modem router through MetroNet. Anytime I've had any problems, it's just a matter of making a phone call and they usually have the serviceperson out here within a day or two to take care of it. I have recommended MetroNet to my family and friends and several people have switched because of that and I have no objection at all. When you find somebody who does what they promise, you reward them for it. MetroNet is much better than my previous provider.

I love MetroNet’s services. It’s easy to use. The only thing is if the price keeps going up on me, I'm gonna have to quit it because I can't afford it anymore. We pay $213 something a month. It's gone up different times a little. I call each May to get their promotional thing. We had Comcast and they kept going up, and so, we left them and we've had MetroNet ever since. They’ve been good. When we have trouble, we just call and they help us get it fixed.

MetroNet's customer service has been great. I had some issues a couple of times and everything got taken care of pretty quickly. The quality of service is beyond anything that I'd ever could have expected as far as the internet goes. When I first tried to install it, I didn't know that with the way that the building is set up, the main port is in the laundry area. The first guy who called couldn't really figure it out. But when they "were sending a tech out,” the guy called and said, “All right. Here's what you need to do." He's a local guy in Detroit so he knew the building when it got set up. He was very knowledgeable about everything. He was like, “Here’s what needs to happen. I've seen this happen a lot. Just try this out.” It worked out great. I've had zero connectivity issues. Everything’s been phenomenal.

MetroNet's service is not great. We spent four days without service and they kept saying, “Well, there's an outage.” But there wasn't an outage. Our box was bad. We finally had somebody come out. They tried to do it over the phone. So, we did that one day, and the rep had me rewire everything and it didn't work. My husband called the next day. They had him rewire some things, and that didn't work. On the third day, I called and I said, “Okay. We rewired and we rewired and we don't know what's going on.” They were like, “Well, try this.” We tried that, and that didn't work. So, finally, we said, “Can you send a tech out?” They sent a tech out who then replaced the box.
We had to reset the box three mornings in a row because it said that there was no TV signal. MetroNet's price is horribly expensive. We called to try to get them lowered, and they gave us one of our extenders free for a year, but that was all we got. I wish their prices were lower. A lot of the cable companies have a retention program for existing customers. You get what they're offering new customers. MetroNet doesn't have that.

I had 100-megabit with Spectrum and their service was too expensive, and I could get 500-megabit with fiber-optic through MetroNet for less, for about half. I'm very pleased with MetroNet and I like the communications that they have. Their reps were also very satisfactory.

I chose MetroNet for two things. It was the fiber optics and what that was going to provide us for, which was internet speed. My expectations were high and they didn't quite hit them. The internet’s been a little bit of a disappointment. When the kids were home from school and having to do elearning, there was slow processing. Another thing is after the first year, the bills went way up. I’m just too busy to shop but that’s something that I’m gonna be looking at. With the TV, we’ve had some periodic glitching issues but it hasn't been too bad. For the most part, it was better than cable.

Expensive and constant problems. Games freeze up/glitch. Constantly saying we don't have connection on TV. Have to unplug and replug box to get it back up and running about once a week. If you try to watch Netflix or Disney channel it doesn't want to run them. TV just randomly shuts off. We switched to MetroNet from Spectrum because of the cost but now we are just about paying the same as we were and we don't even have the landline anymore. We will be switching back to Spectrum. So disappointed.

MetroNet is competent in that the service I received since starting with them has been fine. However, my main concern right now is that I have a cable running from the ground out there at the junction box above ground to my house. There is a park that's adjacent to our backyard and we always have kids running through there. My concern is they're gonna run over that cable and break it or pull it out of its connections. There may be loss of connection. But at this point, I cannot afford to have to wait to have that repaired if that were to happen. I was surprised that MetroNet didn't bury it while they were here or did it right afterwards. But other than that, the folks that did the installation were very polite and diligent. Also, the individual who brought to my attention the program had us switched over to MetroNet.

I had cable TV from MetroNet but it kept pixelating and they couldn't fix the problem. Cable wasn't working just like it didn't work with my previous carrier. Now, I'm down to internet only with MetroNet and I'm happy with that. That's really all I use for streaming. Customer service is knowledgeable and they're trying to help me. They have a lot better customer service than my previous carrier. Go with MetroNet over other carriers.

I've been a MetroNet customer since buying my home in March 2020, and I have been very happy with the service. The speed is consistently fast as advertised and I've experienced very few instances of down time. The price has not increased since the introductory rate offer expired. So long as I can get this level of service at a fair price, I'm content to stick with my current plan and not shop other providers. All told, I'm very glad to have a fast fiber carrier in Lexington and I would happily recommend MetroNet to friends and neighbors.

We love MetroNet so far. It's fully fiber-optic and it's cheaper than what we were paying. The sales rep was phenomenal. He really covered all the bases and helped out with the whole process and it was a smooth transition. Technician was knowledgeable. Fixed problem. A week later system lost TV signal again. Not sure if a new problem now. Need to see if I am able to unbundled for a reasonable price.. MetroNet is not very helpful when trying to lower price paid out.

No issues! Fast internet! Don’t even think about it anymore! The app is super useful and intuitive as well. We have multiple gaming consoles and about 30 smart lights/outlets and never notice our internet struggling at all! This rating is based on our limited experience with the new Metronet service. I don't usually pay much attention to reviews that are written when a product or a service is new. The 1 gig service has performed without a hitch since installation. The real test will come when service is disrupted for whatever reason(s). One piece of advice for anyone considering 1 gig fiber is to thoroughly investigate the capabilities of your existing hardware and home network and to upgrade when necessary.

Within the past two weeks have experienced 2 long outages that have severely disrupted my ability to work from home. Communication very poor from MetroNet. Apps are useless and message on company phone no better. Call to a person was not helpful the first time but the second technician was much more helpful.

They notified me that they would be coming to see me and when could they do the setup. I told them that it should be as soon as possible. So they gave me a day that was about three days away. The technician showed up and installed the system. He did a great job. He was courteous and knowledgeable. I'm very satisfied with it. It's been going with good speeds up and down.

I've been in a customer of Metronet for about nine months, they hide billing fees disguise them. You apply for the lifeline program from their website it takes you to another website, the lifeline website. You get approved at the lifeline website, you receive an email from Lifeline. Metronet says they have no record of you applying. I email them a copy of the email from Lifeline that has all the details. They say, "Well you got to fill out this Lifeline application too" which says Metronet on it and then it says Lifeline and tells you submit it to Lifeline. Their customer service is almost as bad as Walmart.
The first issue I ever had with them was when they installed my line, they didn't bother to bury it. They just laid it on top of the ground, they didn't even bother to fly it in the air, they laid it on the ground. But that was after somebody cut the line, why was it cut because it was laying on the ground and somebody didn't see it. Did they really say sorry for the inconvenience of me having to be on the phone with them an hour to find out why they were killing me a technology fee twice, no. Do they bother to apologize for laying the cable on top of the ground, no. This is stuff I expect from Walmart or Comcast not from an Amazon company.

From day one I have had issues with Metronet, the Internet which is a service I chose did not work continuously or properly. When contacting Metronet they did send the service number out only to find nothing but verify that my service did not work. The solution was to send out another service member. In the meantime I was completely disconnected yeah. Bill for services I have never received consistently. My Internet wouldn’t work often on but never continuously.
The second gentleman that came to my home verified that my service was not connected properly. He changed it. It worked briefly and yet again often on not continuously yet I was still billed and expected to pay for something I was not receiving. At that point I refuse to pay. The third gentleman that came out found the problem. I was not hooked up to the substation down the road and there’s no way it should even work at all yet it did often on. At that point I was advised not to pay, that I would be credited for anything I did pay and also credited for future bills that did not happen.
My final last call which was the day we established that I had never had service, that they were wrong yet they still wanted me to pay for services I did not obtain that were not provided. I refused to do that. Reluctantly I just called Comcast who I thought at one point had the absolute worst customer service on the planet yet metro net proved me wrong on that. Metronet has the worst customer service in the industry that I’ve ever ran acrossed. Do not use this company, they may sound good edit times other companies in this industry. They make anybody sound good but do not go to Metronet. It’s a joke.

When I called MetroNet, they went over the rates, what I would be using the internet for, and what speed I needed. Then, my son is a gamer, so they said that I should get this extra box that would help with his gaming. They also have TV, but it's so new and I don't know if I can trust it yet. My interactions with them have been awesome. But a month ago, the internet wasn't working, so the gentleman was on the phone with me for 45 minutes. He had me do something and it cleared the issue. It worked that day, then I called again the next day because it did the same thing. So, they said they'd scheduled to come out. This was between Christmas and New Year's and when the techs were here, they said that it was my modem that was bad. So they replaced my modem and upgraded my boxes. They redid everything.

We had CenturyLink for years and it would go down a lot. We also would get buffering even though we increased to the max that they were able to do for our neighborhood. We'd still encounter issues, which we especially noticed during COVID when I had to work from home for a couple of months. It was so frustrating. I would be just in the middle of a Zoom call and freeze. But we've not encountered that since we've switched to MetroNet. Their service has been outstanding. We use the internet for streaming on the TV, then we have phones and iPads. When our grandkids come over, they've also got iPads. Then occasionally, I would work from home, too.
On New Year's Eve, I was watching a show at 9:05, then all of a sudden it went out. I called the customer service and I got into them right away. They said it was probably an animal chew. So, with it being a holiday weekend, we had to wait until the following Tuesday for someone to come out. But it wasn't an animal chew situation and they had it fixed and we were back in business.

MetroNet has a good product and if you got a problem, they don't take all day trying to get it fixed. lately, I've been running into extra charges and they don't give you a notification if the price is going to go up. You just see it on your bill. So, it'd be nice if they would give you a little heads up. Other than that, their service is worth every dime.

My experience has been very good, except the part where they lay the line underground. Metronet told me one time that they subcontract that out and they don't put it where you want the line to go in the yard. The first time they put it in, I told them to go around the fence and they didn't go around the fence that much then my dog dug it up. I asked the guy, “Can you put it right next to the fence?" The second time, it was the same guy that got the line laid, but didn't put it in the ground. But the old guys Metronet sent out to put the lines in the ground didn't put them where I said to put them. I thought they did then my dog dug it up again. I ended up going around that area and I'll just put it back in myself.

We are a new customer to Metric but not new to several other cable/internet providers. Since moving in we have had numerous occasions where the tv has frozen. I have called 3 times letting them know and going through the unplug this and plug it back in. Today is my last time dealing with this. The service is really disappointing.

MetroNet's price is reasonable, but I've had to postpone the service for now because of budget. When I had it, it was amazing. I'm a gamer and streamer, and it was the best download and gaming speed.

I've had two issues with Metronet, but they usually resolve them either while I’m on the phone or they send somebody out. There are no long hold times if you're online. They're great people.

Metronet gave us the most for our money and we're happy with them. We stream all our movies and shows off and we never have a problem. Their service is way better than anything else we've ever had. With the other providers, we had buffers all the time. The installer with Metronet was great too. He even worked with us 'cause we weren't here at the time and he did everything over the phone with us.

It was a lot quicker to get the cable and internet set up with Metronet than with Comcast and Xfinity. Metronet's service is streamlined. They text you and let you know if you have an interruption in your area. They give you a estimated time of when it's gonna be back on. Also, you can call them if something happens and they won't charge you to come in and fix it like Xfinity and Comcast do. I definitely would recommend Metronet.

I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be. The internet freezes up, and it takes a long time to download. When Metronet called me right after I got it, I told them about it.

We had Comcast, and we were always getting dropped. We'd lose internet and we'd call and get a runaround. It was never their fault. We were paying for service and not getting it, and they wouldn't reimburse. They were very slow. On the other hand, we've not had too many issues with MetroNet. We had a problem with slow internet, but that turned out to be my router. MetroNet came right out and replaced my router with theirs with no charge. There was no runaround like Comcast and my speed went from 85 to 500. It’s very fast. The only thing was the contractor that comes out and does the installation for them took a while to come out and didn't do a good job. They left a bunch of holes in my backyard. I had to put sod over it. But other than that, it was alright. I readily would recommend MetroNet.

I like that Metronet doesn't constantly call me trying to get me to add services. They let me have my internet and leave me alone. The service started off solid. But I've been having issues for the last three or four months that they can't seem to resolve so it's kind of irritating. I'll still get signal to the house and everything that's wired in to my router will work, but the Wi-Fi service will drop randomly, every week or more. I have to reset the router to get it to work again. We've had a tech out before and they've tried resetting things on their side. Their tech support is agreeable. I've never had any issues with them coming out. I just wish they could solve this one issue. They were supposed to come out last weekend and look at it again, but I had to cancel.

MetroNet's internet service is fast. I can do whatever I want with no interruptions. The customer support is always efficient. Our fiber optic cable broke once, and they were there the next day to fix it. It's awesome. MetroNet is reliable.

I called them about my service because my speed was less than 100 and they worked on it. They were nice about it and got it to 300. It didn’t get to 500, but at least got it to 300.

Signing up with MetroNet was great. We took care of everything on the phone. They had a guy come out and he was very knowledgeable and fast. He was neat and clean and he walked me through the process to get things activated. Everything went well. MetroNet made it easy and much more affordable. I saved 20% on the monthly fee which is pretty substantial. They did everything they said and the internet works whenever I need it. It meets all of my expectations. I couldn't be happier.

The only concern I've had so far was last month when there were back-to-back outages. There was some work going on and the outages happened at least two times that week. I was in the middle of working from home and it took at least three hours to fix it. That downtime is not an acceptable thing. We have around 48 houses in this neighborhood and everyone was impacted. It hasn't happened again since but I would be happy if I get some kind of guarantee saying that any downtime will be rectified within an hour. Other than that, I've had a very good experience with MetroNet. Never ever the performance haas degraded.

I've been with MetroNet for five years now and in the time that I've had MetroNet, I've had one issue and that was it. It was on MetroNet's side because their system went down. At the moment, they're doing exceptionally well. If there is an issue, they let us know right away through text message and email. They just came out not too long ago, put that new eero system in, in my house and the tech who came out was very well-versed on it. He knew everything about it and he knew what he was doing. He was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Very clean, nice and polite guy. When my mom was alive and living in Fishers, they were just putting MetroNet in there, too. I told her about it. She switched herself and she never had any problems with MetroNet either. If I tell anybody, I'll tell them to go with MetroNet. Get away from Xfinity or AT&T, because their service quality sucks.

I like the way of dealing with the new system. If I had any problems that I need to troubleshoot, I can go on to a website on my phone that they showed me to download. I can go on there and check and see who’s online and who ain’t online. I have about 15 items connected to the service and we get good service. I like it. It’s not real expensive, and it’s pretty reliable.

Somebody showed up at my doorstep and told me that I could have the internet service for free. There's a government funding program to help people with COVID, it takes $50 off the bill. The way they presented the program was, they said, "You won't have to pay for anything. It will be free until the program money runs out. Once that happens, then you'd have to pay a monthly bill of $50 a month for the Internet service." I got my bill, and it was like $150. I got screwed and I wasn't very happy.
Also, I work from home, so I'm going from one program to another, or within one program and MetroNet runs really slow. Also, with the TV lag, the sound doesn't catch up with the lips because the internet's buffering. I wouldn't recommend this.

Our internet went down and the technician investigated it. Come to find out, the reason why our internet was down was it was disconnected at the box. Another technician accidentally disconnected it to install another service. Other than that, we're back online. We haven't had a problem since. I would definitely recommend MetroNet to someone else.

The rep was a really friendly guy. MetroNet still runs faster than Spectrum but I see a decent number of slowdowns with the gig service. I've seen it dip down into the 400s a couple of times but nothing terrible. The customer service has been good. I've had one issue and they were right on top of it. I didn't know their infrastructure right of that bat and since I host servers, I had to get an IP address to actually set up for myself.

I’m very happy with Metronet. I like the choice of the channels with the different apps. I also like the ability of picking what kind of apps we want to use. We were on Comcast, and it was all bundled together. We didn't have too many choices. Metronet's quality and pricing are better, which is a big plus. It's quicker than the prior cable cable company as well. It took us a while to get the hang of things and get things tweaked, but right now, we're having a good experience.

I’ve had the internet with MetroNet for nearly two years and the service has gotten better. When we included the TV on September 22nd of this year, we had quite a few problems with it but the guys were always polite and courteous. And if they didn't have answers, they would find them.

I cancelled my MetroNet services three months ago. I moved out of my previous house and I couldn't move into the new house that I bought for over a month. When I moved out, I didn't take the MetroNet gear because I didn't think that it mattered. If I had known the experience I was gonna have, I wouldn't have switched from Comcast. Comcast was easier to deal with and their service was reliable. MetroNet's internet was not faster. It was super spotty all the time.
It was also a pain in the ** when I went to cancel it. I got the runaround and I got lied to. I asked for the money back for the entire month that I hadn't used it at all, they told me that they couldn't do that because they could not monitor usage at all remotely. And I was like, “That's obviously a lie because you guys would fix things for me remotely sometimes.” It came off as a grand get-rich-quick scheme to just get another 70 bucks out of me for a month of service. The next person I talked to was wonderful but the first representative I talked to, I was just like, “Those are really gross business practices.”. I was disgusted.
