I'm not sure what conversations have taken place between you and your staff, but I need to express how unfair this situation is. I paid for a timing chain replacement, only for the car to stop running just two days later. That doesn’t make sense to me—why would anyone install a new timing chain in an engine that wasn’t in good condition to begin with? Before I even picked up the car, you mentioned that the critical oil light had come back on. You said you did an engine flush and everything was fine—but again, just two days later, the car stopped working. Please help me understand how this makes any sense. If the engine was already failing, why go ahead with the timing chain replacement? I feel like I’ve been charged for a repair that was never going to fix the real issue. I’m extremely frustrated, and I need a clear explanation and resolution.

Land Rover is a terrible company, with beautiful cars that sucker you into buying them. Unreliable with no parts for support. Range Rover 2500 miles. Transmission went 4 weeks later. The truck comes back, 3 days after getting it back front suspension crapped out, over a week to get that fixed. So disappointed for what I paid and what I got. Poor engineering, rear seat cannot fold forward without moving the front seats up and the cargo area is pitched, terrible as a SUV. When it works, it is a comfy truck.

Absolute garbage, British engineering **! I have a Range Rover, not even 50k miles and turbos blew out! Need 6k to fix the issue!!!! Zero reliable, absolutely trash car Range Rover. I'll be back on German cars! Really the best or nothing.

One star is too much for this cars, bought my 2023 Evoque back on February 2023 and I been more to the service department than if I was driving a junk from 1990. Car stop on me while driving home in the middle of traffic and they have the audacity of telling me I need to pay for diagnostic when my car still under warranty. This is the last time I will take this car to the service department. I am done with it. Don't buy this vehicles. They suck big time. Worst experience with a brand new car!!!

Today, 3/1/2024, my car was returned to me after 4 days of being at the Land Rover dealership. The reason for bringing was that the car became disabled completely (not even emergency flashing lights) and it was stuck in the middle lane of the major parkway (northbound I-95 near GWB). The car without lights standing in the middle of the PARKWAY is considered a HAZARD case. No insurance tow service allowed to help you in this situation to come and get you to the safe place except by police tow service. As the car can be hit by upcoming vehicles at any time.
After sitting in a dark and cold car for more than three hours, you would like to have some certainty that the experience you had will not happen again. And what explanation I got after the car was returned: "we did not find anything". Please find a little taste of what that car had previously serviced for.
1. Completely shattered the sunroof (almost 3 months, driving afraid that it will fall in)2. Three service calls on battery low message (car will not start the car when you press the start button). It will only start when the key is placed under the steering wheel.
3. Two service calls on coolant engine signs.
And multiple tier issues. The customer care will not care, you were on your own to deal with all that. Upper management was worth the car I was having. Bad culture to be in.

Our only 4-year old regularly Land Rover dealer-serviced discovery sputtered and then stopped running in the middle of a busy highway. It was towed to a Land Rover dealership which, after initially getting us to sign off on repair, stated that it couldn’t be repaired and stated they would file a mechanics lien and keep our plates. Land Rover, not even offering money for parts. Corporate refused to help after stringing us along for weeks so we lost our car and plates.

This company along with Chase Bank their financial partners are all about GREED. I leased a 2020 Land Rover Sport in 2021. Had a great payment at $389 per month. Keep my vehicle in great shape. Was only able to get one 6 month extension and that was not offered until the very last minute. I tried desperately to extend my lease with Chase Bank reps. They are all like robots and repeat their corporate memorized responses. No one cared that stopping to search for a new vehicle especially in this market to find a car at this rate not to mention putting $4k down for the one.
I have a mother in assisted living at the cost of $5k per month and growing. Chase Bank said I still owed a total of $106. I contested it with a letter I had to fax. Who uses fax's anymore. Would not accept an email version. Do they respond with a letter? No they treat you as if your auto was repossessed. My Land Rover only had 16k miles, was detailed inside and out with four new tires and yet they had everyone and their brother at Chase calling me nonstop for the $106. Tonight I spoke with a supervisor and she just threatened ruining my credit. UNBELIEVABLE. Chase and Land Rover do not have a heart. I am sending my final payment but will work on paying off my Chase cards ASAP and never again. Why should consumers support such GREED. Enough for me but highly suggest if you are even thinking of leasing through Chase Bank think again.

This is the absolute worst car company you can deal with. I have a 4 year old car with 38k miles on it. The window regulator randomly broke, which caused the window to drop and shatter. I called Land Rover and they told me if I wanted a chance at assistance with the bill to bring to a land rover dealer, which I did. The total was over $2,000. They denied helping me due to "loyalty," even though I've had 3 Land Rovers. However, I didn't purchase this most recent one from them, so they denied me. Never buy these cars.

I bought my Defender eight months again. Been into the dealer three times for repairs including a repeat repair. Still haven’t received the extra items promised or cosmetic repairs needed. Now steering froze, and 600 miles from home and can’t move vehicle. Called LR. Was told tow truck would be here in an hour. After two hours, LR assigned it to another company. Still waiting for pickup five hours later. I’ve owned two LRs and NEVER again. Have used their service in two different states and both experiences have been the worst. I’ll stick to Porsche from now on. They immediately supply loaners, at no cost for mileage and permitted to take out of state until repairs completed if parts are slow. NEVER AGAIN will I buy a Landrover.

I finance a 2015 Range Rover Evoque. Now at the time I had a secondary work car that was paid for. I always wanted a range rover so I was excited to finally have a luxury vehicle. 3 week in to having the car check engine light came on. The 3 months later the gear shifter went out. When I tried to get it fix took it to the range rover in Schaumburg IL when I say they treated me so awful it was ridiculous. Then after that my check engine light came on agian and the wiring for whatever they needed to fix was so poorly put together they would need an engine harness or need to remove the engine to get to it. I went to the dealership the next day and traded the car in and it wasn't even worth anything but I took what they gave me for it and got a Acura rdx. Never again will I ever get a range rover. Please do your research before you buy maybe the brand new ones are okay but the used ones no. Luxury lemons. With expensive maintenance

I owe a 2016 Range Rover Autobiography that I purchased for $108,000 with 9000 miles in 2017. Didn't drove the car much, had 54000 miles when the engine locked up in 2024. Got no check engine lights or any other warnings. Take it to the dealership and they want to charge $35,000 for a new engine but can't tell me why my engine locked up with only 54000 miles. Just got a oil change at 43000 miles. So I just want to warn everyone and these crooks.

I had an appointment to test drive a car on May 26, 12 o'clock noon. The day before I got an e-mail confirmation, but when I arrived, it turned out that the car was sold on May 22. So I was $800+ out of pocket for nothing. And I was told that the person I was to see, was "busy with someone else".

The experience I went through in both retailers in Glam cove & Manhattan Jaguar Land Rover we’re horrible! If to start with some unprofessional mechanics (misdiagnosed my problem which caused a major repairs afterward). Then the salesperson/manager try to rip me off with some unnecessary repairs handling me a bill of over $18,000.00 for a 2018 car with 27K miles. (Took the car to 2 different certified mechanic shops for diagnostic and find out this was all a huge rip off).
Before towing the car into Manhattan shop I made sure the can check my car as soon as my car arrive which they did promised me that they will. Car was at the shop for few days without anyone touching it while I’m been told that that they are swamped with other work. The main issue was that the car was misdiagnosed when the car still had the factory warranty and because of that misdiagnosed few months later my all car was leaking oil and had to do some major repairs to it. Bottom line I’m VERY disappointed.

I leased a car from Land Rover of Naperville. Aside from being grossly overcharged because of a special Land Rover of Naperville was running, they leased me a car with 6000 miles causing the warranty on a lease to expire before my lease does. I have been treated so rudely by them and because my case is so complicated not even Land Rover USA can help me. I will pursue every avenue possible to make sure other consumers are not defrauded and ignored by sharing this experience.

My husband and I were taking a trip from Texas to Florida on vacation on Sept 2, 2021. At 5 p.m. on a state road in Mississippi a large deer jumped over a bridge rail and ran in front of us; we were going the speed limit which was 65 mile per hour. Our Velar handled well, but the impact damaged the radiator. We sat on the side of the road over 2 hours (it was turning dark)--finally Road Side assistance called us and told us that no one was coming. We found out later they did not have a contract in that area--we were about 60 miles from Mobile. They would not pay anyone in that area to come and get us--instead they let us be stranded.
There were no rental cars available in a 2 state area-- we were stranded and had to call the police. The tow truck got there about 8:30 pm and took us to the closest small hotel. Someone had to drive 7 hours to get us. This was not the worst part. It is now September 7, 2022 and I still do not have my vehicle back. I have filed with the Better Business Bureau, Texas State Attorney General, looked into state lemon laws through a lawyer and contacted Landrover Corporate last spring. My latest update on September 6th from LandRover corporate was Landrover has no idea when my parts will be available.
My advisor at the body shop which is a LandRover approved shop (if there is aluminum damage like mine had you have to have the work done at one of these shops--there is one every 3-4 hours from each other in my area). Mine has several LandRovers that have been there 15 months or more. I have no idea when I will get my vehicle back but I have paid over $14,000 for a vehicle I do not have. LandRover does not tell you if you get in an accident (which was not our fault) that it has to go to a LandRover insured shop---many insurance companies will not pay for it to be towed that far since the shops are spread out through the US. Mine luckily did pay for it but I had to fight it. In addition, they do not tell you if you get in an accident you will not have your car for over a year. The excuse has been COVID but it is two years later. My point is if you cannot provide parts for a vehicle in a reasonable amount of time, then it is unethical to sell them.
One thing I heard was if you can afford a LandRover you can afford to pay $14,0000 for nothing. That is not the case--LandRover does have entry level vehicles. DO NOT BUY a LANDROVER! Getting parts for them has always been very difficult but this is ludicrous. Realize if you buy one you may be without a vehicle a year or more and have to buy another vehicle while you are paying on one you do not have.

I have owned my Range Rover HSE since 2009. It currently has over 175,000 miles on it and is performing well. I seem to be one of the lucky ones based upon a number of the other reviews. I have experienced very few repair problems and, when I do, I rely on a local non-Land Rover owned repair facility. My total costs for repair over the past 13 years does not exceed $5,000.00. Of course, I have always maintained it properly with regular oil changes and an annual safety check plus tune-up.
As I read the other poor reviews, they are mostly related to unacceptable service provided by their local dealers...This is a shame since my repair facility is outstanding. (Again, it is a privately owned repair shop specializing in Land Rover/Range Rover vehicles.) I have since bought a second Range Rover Sport for my wife and It is a wonderful vehicle as well.

Within 1st year, I brought my car back to service for over 8 time, and same issue over 6 times, every time replace the parts and hold my car for few days, then after few weeks same issue happens again, now my AC and hot air some time work sometimes not working, they don't know the problem too, never got it fix for 3 time brought to dealer, if any new purchase want less headaches do not try Range Rover. Btw their customer service are terrible now same dealer or headquarters, bad bad bad customer service,

I want to start this review by saying that the Range Rover Sport has been my dream car for a very long time. It pains me to write such a negative review but I don’t want anyone else to go through what I have. My husband and I purchased our vehicle not too ago and are expecting our first son shortly. Since we purchased it, it has been an absolute nightmare. Our Range Rover has been at the shop 4 times within a 3 month period.
At one point, I was given a loaner vehicle with a crack going across the entire windshield left to right. I asked for a new one and they said they had no others. I had to take it to drive back and forth to work everyday. I am a week from birth. For the last month, we have been asking for a trade in Range Rover Sport of equal value as I need a reliable vehicle due to my circumstances of being pregnant. They refuse to do anything except give a credit for future repairs. Bottom line they could care less about their customers safety and only about their bottom line. If you are looking for a safe vehicle that the manufacturer stands by, then a Range Rover is not your car.

My Range Rover started smelling gas in back of it. I called the dealer and they do not have parts to take care of the recall causing the gas leak. They suggested to call Customer Service (Cristina) - They called all the dealers around my area and no parts are available. They suggested to take the car to a 3rd party shop - They could not recommend one. They escalated the call and will take 7-14 days to respond. The customer service agreed to carry the liability of having the Range Rover leaking my garage for 7-14 days. The conversation was recorded for my record. It is the worse car experience in my life.

I bought a Range Rover Sport HST 2022 a few months ago. Has been in the shop for the last month. Dealership has put several hundred miles on the vehicle in road test. They cannot give me a return date for my vehicle. Can't believe I spent over a 100k on this vehicle and it doesn't even make it to 5k miles. Definitely a lemon, and the customer service is horrible. (Wanted to give 0 stars, site wouldn't allow it)

Land Rover sent out a recent notice for my 2011 Range Rover. It was a familiar message because I could smell gas in and around the car while it was parked after only six weeks of owning it. The letter says to call Land Rover's main number and reference the recall for support. Guess what? There's no option on the phone menu other than for Takata airbag recall, and if you wait in line, it loops you back to the menu again. I was able to get a rep by hitting the airbag option, who told me they knew nothing and called the dealer. A call to the dealer yielded no information as they knew nothing either. The dealer said, "We got a letter too but don't know any more information.". The trouble is I don't want to be at the end of a list with 50k other cars on it to get this problem fixed. Some folks aren't impacted by it right now and given I can't drive, it would be helpful to prioritize anybody whose car is dangerous to operate.

When I called Land Rover USA for assistance with an active recall for a cracked fuel tank flange on my Land Rover I was given an incorrect information and the infinite runaround ending with Land Rover USA representative hanging up the call. Despite the dangers of of a faulty Land Rover part that causes a fuel leak, Land Rover USA offered incoherent and incorrect information followed by endless bureaucratic indifference. Horrific service.

After numerous emails to the CEO they’ve never gotten back to me. My mother's car was stolen due to the poor technology that these cars are built with! All I’ve asked is that all range rovers sold need to have a contract stating how easy it is to steal! So the future owner knows their risk! That it only takes 90 seconds to steal a £40k plus car!!! I’m DISGUSTED how I’ve been treated! I believe the answer now is to do a peaceful protest outside showrooms to Stop People buying their terrible cars!

After owning this 2022 Land Rover Defender I have problems. The camera have a red box around the screen and my backup sensors and front sensors do not work. I have to bring in to the dealership but I’m on vacation in Cabo San Lucas for 4 months and there’s the problem. Won’t reimburse me on trip protection because the car is drivable. The closest dealership is 1056 miles away 1 way. Also there are a lot of noises coming from the driver headliner by the grab handle. If you pull down the noise goes away. In the back also there was a noise and I put some tape on the problem area and so far the noise has not came back. You would think on a $91,000 car customer service would help you out better.

I special ordered my 2021 Range Rover Long wheelbase for my wife 9 months ago. The salesperson updated me once a month during the process and they reached out to me recently to let me know the car has arrived. When I originally placed the order we verbally agreed I would be paying the sticker price which is normal since this is not the first time I have done this with Range Rover.
The manager, Eric **, decided to reach out and say this is a "hot car" and wanted to mark it up 40k over sticker, before I even had a chance to get to the dealership to discuss the price he sold it to someone who was willing to pay the 40k over. I waited 9 months for nothing!!! I have been a loyal customer to Land Rover for 10 years now and over that period I have had 5 or 6 cars from them and to be treated like this is unethical. I reached out to John ** and Stuart Schorr as well as called the customer service line on several occasions and I have yet to be acknowledged. If you are expecting quality service and to be respected as a customer then Land Rover is not the company they claim to be.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Horrible Customer Service, rude, intentionally evasive and misleading!!!! Discounts quoted changes without explanation hoping the buyer won’t notice. When asked they lie, become evasive and simply make it hard to do business with. Be careful when dealing with Seth and Devin.

Dealership had my car for four months and returned it with numerous issues just to get their loaner back and shove the car out the door. Came back with a busted windshield, door handle, tire pressure and balance issues as well as a filthy interior. They likely broke the windshield when they removed it to replace the front harness but say it was a poorly repaired recall item from the past. They told me to bring back their loaner and go rent a car and pay for it out of pocket. They offered first to pay my lodging since the delayed parts derailed my travel, then rescinded the offer. The owner even said that I "must have done something to it" to cause a 2016 Evoque with only 30K miles to completely fail. I assure you, my use of the vehicle has been quite tame, even outright boring compared with the shenanigans you see on the Land Rover Commercials.
Land Rover has lost what would have been a customer for life. I fell in love with this beautiful car but it's beauty belied the many problems under the surface. Land Rover cares zero for their customers or their brand and you're best off to bring your money to another dealer who cares about their brand and their customers. I spent many years in customer service and can say I have never been treated so poorly.

In May 2019 I leased a 2019 Land Rover Discovery Sport from Jaguar Land Rover Edmonton. Several issues occurred with the management of the lease and the transition did not occur with ease. I was charged a few thousand dollars more than the accepted offer but the dealership was reluctant to take responsibility or explain the difference. I was excited about driving the vehicle so I let these things go. Unfortunately in June 2019 I started having issues with the vehicle so I instead travelled to Jaguar Land Rover Calgary to rectify my issues there to hopefully gain a different experience. Some issues were resolved (bearings, water pump) after extensive persistence on my part but there was a reoccurring issue with the transmission. I took the vehicle in 5 times and nothing was resolved.
I involved Jaguar Land Rover North America on three separate occasions for assistance when the vehicle got worse, and other events occurred. The vehicle became less reliable to drive and on July 29, 2020 I experienced severe jerking, struggles to change gears, mis-shifting, and slipping of the gears. It was of great concern. The vehicle was towed back to Jaguar Land Rover Edmonton and I was told there was “nothing wrong with the vehicle” by the General Manager. Another manager told me “that is how discovery sports drive.” I know others that drive discovery sports and they have had zero issues. @Landrover North America told me “the vehicle was repaired” but all that was done is the factory settings were reset. They didn’t look at the transmission nor did a Foreman drive the vehicle. I was told by others outside the dealership and the manufacturer that it was a transmission problem. I wonder, do they want to duplicate the issue?
I asked for a new vehicle because of all the issues but instead Jaguar Land Rover Edmonton and Jaguar Land Rover North America threatened to tell the bank I abandoned the vehicle if I did not pick it up. The General Manager in Edmonton told me “I am not losing money on that vehicle. It is a bad investment.” Yet they leased me the vehicle. The vehicle had been previously purchased by another and returned with 400km. My lawyer sent a demand letter to Jaguar Land Rover Edmonton and Land Rover North America to try and find a resolution but they ignored the Letter. They just kept passing blame onto each other.
Lawyers told me it could cost me thousands of dollars to make them accountable but my lease would be close to done before that likely happened. @Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council (AMVIC) could not help me due to a “gap in the legislation.” I have not driven the vehicle since the incident occurred in July 2020 but I am still making full payments. It has been in my garage since it was towed back from Edmonton but it was returned with a broken mirror. After reviewing my options, I decided to reach out to the VP at Go Auto Luxury Platform who owns the Edmonton and Calgary dealerships to try find a Win Win solution.
After several emails and a telephone conversation he agreed in several emails to lease me a new vehicle for list price and no penalty for returning my other vehicle. He sent me all the details and price of the car. I confirmed there were no other amounts I would need to pay. I travelled to Edmonton from Red Deer to test drive the vehicle to ensure it was what they say it was. When I agreed to the vehicle the price of the vehicle showed up approximately $5, 500 more than list price. If I didn’t notice it then they would have gotten away with charging me more again. The VP at Go Auto later told me it was the “short fall” in my current lease, which is a penalty. I offered to meet him halfway and pay half of the penalty (short fall) but he will not negotiate further and unless I pay the penalty, have larger lease payments, and sign a new lease for another 42 months, I am stuck with a vehicle that looks pretty in my garage.
I am told it still has too much left on the lease to do anything about it. Land Rover North America stopped corresponding with me and do not take responsibility for the vehicle and Jaguar Land Rover Edmonton and Go Auto have also not returned my emails. I feel unsafe driving the vehicle and I certainly will not place my grandbaby in the vehicle and take the chance of something happening. I am hoping they will honour their agreements. In advocating for myself in the past five months I have been gaslighted, lied to, threatened, and now ignored. I am a social worker and now I only hope I can advocate for others so this does not happen to them.

The problems with this vehicle started with fit and finish issues within days of driving the new Land Rover Discovery off the dealer lot, that included a squeaky rear seat that took at least four separate visits to fix. Then the problems migrated to the rear liftgate interior panel that continually detached from the body hatch and hug down from one side. I have been back at least six times to fix this problem over a two year period. And each time they fix it and each time it falls apart again. Still no remedy.
The best problem, at least for the service providers, has been the non-recall camshaft defect that has been known to Land Rover for some time (not counting the axle bearing failure, that was thankfully caught under warranty). This cam issue totally stopped the car. I finally took the Discovery to an independent garage and am now faced with a $2400 repair bill. Wait, no scratch that; an $11,000 bill. They decided I need a new engine, explaining the cam controller shattered with metal fragments going into the engine.
Needless to say, I would not recommend Land Rover vehicles in general. It seems that when these two brands Land Rover-Jaguar, were purchased by an Indian investment company, Tata Motors, the legendary quality and durability was lost. The decision was made to introduce a variety of snappy looking consumer market-class models and trash the historic world-class reliability tradition. Remember all the old movies and newsreels with Land Rover busting through the jungles and mountain passes. Don’t try this too far from town. Trapped in the Outback in a new Discovery would be life threatening. There is a new Defender model, though I wouldn’t hold out much hope for that either - same build, parts and management. Land Rover should have kept the name when they sold out to Tata.

I purchased my Discovery Sport 5 years ago and the moment payments were complete and warranty was up the timing chain broke, damaged the valves and failed the engine entirely. This incident happened a few days ago on the highway (clearly safety issues here!) and I was lucky enough that I could pull over and stay in one piece. Vehicle was towed and dealership first told me in order to replace the valves and fix everything it costs 10,000 $. They then called again and said they don't even feel comfortable with that because it can fail again so the entire engine needs to be rebuild therefore cost will come to 20,000$!!
Now to be clear, I have serviced this car year every year (64000 miles currently aka well below 100k miles) since purchase and have completed all the recommended replacements and services with the dealership asked me to do since 2015. In fact the question now is why at each service visit multiple parts had to be replaced (costing anywhere from 500-4000) and now at 5 year mark the entire engine fails!!! Do your research. I looked this up and there is a lawsuit in 2018, same incident right after the 5 mark warranty. The customer's car shut down when the customer was driving (in NJ).
Company should be paying 100% for this repair or simply buy this junk back from me and give me a new car. I am in a back and forth situation with the dealership. I called the company and they opened the claim for me but the person on the phone had the audacity to ask me "well I am not sure what you want us to do here". They also haven't bothered following up. No one made any comment about the safety either!!
As of now it is clear to me the company does not back their own products and they failed to inform the customers about the issue or recalling it when they knew very well timing chain has ongoing issues.
