Chrysler is recalling about 19,000 model year 2005 Dodge Durango vehicles. The fuel tank filler tube inlet check valve may not close at the end of refueling, possibly allowing fuel to escape from the vehicle, posing a fire hazard.
Dealers will inspect the valve when the recall begins in February. They will replace the fuel tank assembly in vehicles found to have a suspect inlet check valve.
