We made reservations several weeks ahead of time. When we arrived we were greeted in the parking lot by another guest who said she could not stay in this filthy place. We went in to register and found the kitchen closed, so no breakfast as promised. It was end of June and the pool was empty. The hallway smelled like stale smoke. The elevator was dangerously out of repair. The room was small. The bedding was dirty. The floors were dirty. The toilets were dirty and there was mold on the walls. There were no lights in the light sockets so it was dark at night unless the tv was on. This Rodeway was located in Nampa. We had to go through the booking agent to get our money back. We will never book with a Rodeway Inn again.

I have been staying at the Rodeway Inn/ Econolodege in Rehoboth De for over 2 months costing my fiance and I over $3000. Mind you I'm a disabled veteran and the restaurant she works at closed amid covid-19. 1st they bungled my reservation and terminated it a day early. Secondly the customer service line nor the hotel would work with me but the next day when I receive my MILITARY PENSION!! And told us to leave like $52 would bankrupt them if they compend the room considering I'm a diamond status member with over 20K loyalty points but refused to even honor my points for a room for one night. We were forced to spend the night outdoors on the street in the rain amid a shelter in place order due to the current pandemic. If you are a veteran or care about vets BOYCOTT CHOICE HOTELS AFFILIATES IN DELAWARE. All they care about is money not the well being of their guests!!!

Made a reservation for my son that’s active military to stay for the weekend! I informed them at the time of making the reservation that he would be arriving well after midnight because he was driving from North Carolina after his shift... When he arrived to check in with his confirmation number, he was told that they just let someone else have his room!!! No apologies, no nothing!!!! He had to go elsewhere to find a room!! Online is stated a military rate, and when I booked it, they said they didn’t have a room that qualified for that rate... UNBELIEVABLE! POOR MANAGEMENT, and they obviously have ZERO respect for the military!

Explaining to the owners of Rodeway Inn our situation they gave us a room that flooded and then proceded to kick us out. When we arrived after being awake for almost 24 hrs couldn't get into the room because of a $2.00 tax difference then got one that flooded. They moved us to the room right next door. My vehicle 5 studs broke off and I had to have it towed before the hotel called the cops. Obviously Not the hotel's problem for my vehicle. I kept in contact every step of the way and reported any changes to the clerk. The employees were extremely nice and polite. Can't say much for the owners. I would recommend avoiding Rodeway Inn on Dream Street in Florence KY at all costs. Plus the rooms were deplorable.

This very inexpensive hotel is located in Revere near Boston Airport. Hotel prices in Boston are high. On my first visit I had some problems with my asthma due to the extremely dirty AC filter. Elena the manager gave me 50% discount on one night. The subsequent visit was fine. On my recent visit Oct 31st I found cockroaches and bedbugs. I requested one night back. Keirra the manager agreed. Within minutes she rang back to tell me Upper Management Had Decided That I needed to vacate.

While I am packing an exterminator comes over and I did not let her into the room. I have pictures that Keirra agreed that this was a problem they had in the past. She agreed on one nights refund. They then charged me $75 for the exterminator. I never got my money back and I Was Rude to Keirra in one email which I apologised for. A week later on $0000 on my Credit card. The GM Danielle refuses to refund me and will not answer my messages. Be aware of this sleazy Inn is my advice.

This place is the nastiest motel. They have bed bugs, cockroaches, infested with spiders. Very disrespectful. They don't clean their rooms or change their sheets. They take your money. Head housekeeper says, "Your room smells like smoke" even when it don't. Said, "I can take your deposit." Allow prostitution from dealers, pills, child molesters. Halo people. I just got out of jail. Just stay there. The maintenance men are real friendly - too friendly. I had a housekeeper steals out of rooms.

It was 91 degrees outside and the air conditioner was not working efficiently. There was holes in the walls. The bathroom was NASTY!!!! Stand up shower was NASTY!! The bottom around the toilet was NASTY!! This entire place should be demolished!!! I have pictures also. DO NOT STAY HERE. IN MY OPINION A VERY SERIOUS HEALTH HAZARD!!!!

This is in reference to case # **: Here are the facts. I had made a reservation at a Rodeway Inn for June 28, 2019, in Long Beach with confirmation # **. I had a confirmed reservation guaranteed with a credit card. Someone at Choice Hotels canceled my reservation on June 28, 2019 at approximately 4:45 p.m. for no reason. When I called the Rodeway Inn to inquire, they said that they had no record of the reservation! I spent a long time on hold with Customer Service, and when I finally got a representative on the line, the gentleman said that an investigation would be opened. An investigation was opened and Choice Hotels accused me of canceling the reservation by phone?! I NEVER cancel reservations by phone and why in the world would I cancel the reservation when I needed it?! (I use my account on the company's website.)

But wait, it gets even worse! The Choice Hotels customer service rep said that they had my voice on tape. I then asked her to play the recording, and she said that she would send it to me via e-mail. I never received it because it doesn't exist because I never canceled my own reservation! Someone is lying or someone is impersonating me.

Now, to make matters ever worse, in July I learned that the property was no longer part of Choice Hotels, so what I believe is that the Inn Keeper canceled the reservation himself because he had some dispute with Choice Hotels, and now Choice Hotels doesn't want to compensate me for my loss and the hours I have spent on the phone. I expect to be compensated with points or the amount of the room reservation, which was $72.25 + tax. Otherwise, I am going to take the case to Small Claims in Henderson, NV.

The room was ugly and scary looking. Very outdated... Upon checking in the clerk said I had booked a smoking room; my husband and I don’t even smoke!!! I asked if she could switch out the room and she said they were fully booked. The parking lot was empty. Not one car. I thought it was actually a closed business. The couch had a big hole on it. The bed was half done. Window was filthy inside and outside. I couldn’t even sit on the chair that was in there because it was so old and filthy. Gross!!! I immediately requested a refund. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The worst experience by far!

Hello, I want to make a complaint in regards to an unexpected stay at one of your Rodeway hotels. I paid 62.00 for this room to be in it for less than an hr. The night attendant barely knew English, didn’t set the room keys up correctly to the point he had to come to look for himself, and then have to run back to fix it. My wife and I literally pulled the blankets on one bed to discover hair on the pillows, cigarette burns on the bed and we looked at the other bed and choose to use that one to be in it for 10 minutes and discover my wife got bit by BED BUGS this. I have pictures to prove this and had to take her to the hospital as she is asthmatic and that caused her to have an asthma attack.

The bathroom was not cleaned and for it not being a non smoking room it stunk the minute you opened up the door. I then went and got the attendant and he looked at me like I was lying to him. I took him to the room and showed him the bug myself that was discovered on the bed after me pulling over the sheets completely. HE then proceeded to tell me he couldn’t move us to anther room and could not return my monies. I would like to know whom handles situations like this as I had to go to anther room and pay again for a different place as that one was filthy and had bed bugs in it. This situation was uncalled for and the attendant had no idea what to do.. this establishment needs some serious taking care of and CLEANED OUT. 4250 Belmont Ave, Youngstown, OH 44505

Do you know how difficult it is to live in one room for over 30 days??? But they made it enjoyable to where my husband and I could regroup after the 1000 mile trip from Nebraska. The beds are to die for. My back was a wreck after the trip. After three days sleeping on their beds my back was great!!! Thanks again to the people of Jasper, Texas Rodeway Inn.

This was such a traumatizing experience. I stayed here for three nights and the rooms were disgusting and the heat was broken. On our third night, I was woken up by two gunshots nearby. I walked outside to see a dead body in the parking lot. The police then began to arrive blocking off the entire street. Two people were shot and one was dead. The body remained on the ground in a body bag from 11pm to 5am. I called and requested my money back because SOMEONE WAS KILLED AT MY PLACE OF STAY and I did not feel safe. I wanted to leave that night, but could not due to a far drive. I would never recommend staying here. The staff was rude and did not do anything to accommodate. I left scarred and with an image of a dead body and I lost $153. I will be contacting my lawyer.

Instead of calling me cause they had the number to find out if it was alright; they took it upon themselves to move him. He only had one more day to stay there or they could of moved him that night before. I find this very intrusive and out of line. This is the only time he has complained about a placed he stayed. When he calls the corporate office he is on hold for 20 minutes and then the phone hangs up. Get it together cause your reviews are bad.

I checked in the customer service was great, until I went and asked the lady for a blanket because the rooms are extremely cold. I asked both shifts at the hotel. They both said turn the air off and use the extra blanket in the drawer. So I returned the air off and used the one blanket but still was extremely cold. My wife just had surgery so I asked for extra blanket for her cause she lost a tremendous amount of blood and was still cold. Went back to the desk and was told they don’t have any more blankets sorry. Then the room said double room double queen. The room was very small and very dirty like they never vacuum the carpet. Very rude night shift help. Very restless night with people. Slamming their doors all night. I booked this room for 4 nights and this is the worse place I have ever stayed.

This was a nightmare of an experience. I’ll be concise and stick to the facts. Our flight landed at 9pm in Boston Logan Airport. When I called Rodeway Inns, they informed me that my vehicle is ready. We were picked up by their shuttle in a timely manner. When we arrived, they told us they could not find our keys. The lady at the front desk looked through the boxes with the keys, but for some reason was reluctant to look elsewhere. When we asked to speak to the manager, we were denied our request.

Nearly 2 hours later, we were finally permitted to speak to the manager, who was apologetic and offered a rental vehicle. About an hour later we got a rental vehicle from Enterprise. Just before we drove off in our rental car, we got word that another worker came in and found the keys. At that point it was midnight and we had a 3-hour ride home to Connecticut. My wife, who is 6 months pregnant, had to go to the hospital the next morning for her 6 am shift, leaving her with unwarranted physical and emotional stress entirely at the fault of Rodeway Inn. As a physician, this undue event is a liability for her and the patients she treats. We left our information for the manager to contact us but of course never heard back.

First I will say that I usually don't have any issue with budget hotels, I can often stay in some places that others wouldn't feel comfortable in but that most certainly isn't the case here. I came to Tacoma (Fife) from out of town for a concert that was nearby. We checked in at approximately 2:50pm at the Rodeway Inn (Fife). The slightly early check-in would have been a bonus if anything else about this property was even halfway decent. Overall, my first impression was that the property itself was run down and had trash in many of the exterior hallways, a lot of smokers, and some questionable activities happening in the parking lot (drug deals) so not really a good start.

Upon checking in at the front desk, the first thing I noticed was that the hotel has "visiting hours" which seemed a bit strange to me but it was explained to me that it was for "security reasons". They needed a copy of every person's ID that was staying in the room which I also thought was a bit weird but again it was for "security reasons".

After that I received our keys and walked to the room which was on the bottom floor around back by the pool and we noticed several issues immediately. Most noticeably the room looked NOTHING like the advertised photos currently being shown on choicehotels.com. I'm not sure if those photos were taken when the hotel first opened up or if those are the most premium rooms they had but it is certainly not indicative of the room you will be staying in. Be warned. The photos on Yelp come far closer to what the rooms actually look like than anything I saw on the website.

The first issue in the room was that the "non-smoking" room reeked of cigarette smoke. Second was that the outer screen looked like it had been broken into. Third was that the lock on the door (inside) looked broken and was being held together by masking tape. Fourth was that the room looked dirty, with broken/stained lamp shades, dirty bathroom mirror and tub and bedspreads that were stained.

I immediately asked to be switched rooms and we were "upgraded" into a room that did have nicer beds/appliances but was still dirty (you could see spots on the mirror, places that weren't vacuumed, stains in the bathtub etc.). BUT the BIGGEST ISSUE was the BULLET HOLE in the artwork hanging on the wall across from the window that also had a hole in it that aligned perfectly. Clearly this was not a safe place to stay. At that point we just left the hotel and didn't even stay. Our safety is far more important than a discount hotel room. We chose to go down the road, closer to Tacoma into the Best Western Plus Tacoma Dome where we were accommodated without issue.

I tried to contact Choice Hotels directly to receive a refund since we didn't receive any goods or services but they told me in email that "each hotel is a franchise and I would have to contact Rodeway Inn directly" after being told on the phone by a Choice Hotels' representative that Choice Hotels would refund me even if the hotel didn't. I contacted the hotel directly and they tried claiming that there wasn't a bullet hole in the room after "inspection" despite me providing photo evidence of such which I still have.

I will NEVER do business at another Rodeway Inn and even further I will never stay at any Choice Hotels property again. It's absolutely ridiculous to expect a person to stay in unsafe conditions or with dirty/hazardous conditions. Choice Hotels lends its name to this establishment and yet doesn't stand behind them or the standards (or lack thereof) means they should probably remove their name from association. Otherwise, be willing to not only stand behind the hotels you represent but also the claims that your phone representatives make as well. 100% disappointed. Will not recommend to anyone and would actively recommend people to choose other hotels from more reputable brands. Absolutely unacceptable.

My husband and I stayed at the Rodeway Inn in San Bernardino CA from 11/10/18-11/13/18 as we always have stayed in a hotel up the hill on Ostrems Way. This year, it was a Rodeway Inn and a very unsatisfactory stay. The first room we were given at $148/night had been previously vandalized: the fire alarm was torn out (and not replaced), the Kleenex box was torn out (and not replaced), the security lock on the door was broken (and not replaced), the bathroom floor tub and but looked like paint was thrown on them, and no coffee pot. After looking at the room, we immediately asked for another room. There was no way we were going to stay in a vandalized room. The front desk person was very nice and upgraded us at no extra cost to a suite.

However, again, the security latch was broken (and not replaced), the bathtub was peeling and slippery, the toilet was dirty and howled all night, the towels were very dingy; the bed sheet and mattress cover were torn and wouldn't stay put, there was no remote control for the TV, and again no coffee pot (for $148/night, there should at least be a coffee pot-- we went to Walmart and bought our own coffee pot and coffee, etc. ); and as stated on the website "free breakfast"... NOT!!! The room was boarded up. We were committed to stay due to our late arrival (drove from Carson City, NV). Sunday and Monday were $88/night, but still was not worth the amount charged. I hope someone from corporate office will review this hotel (2000 Ostrems Way, San Bernardino, CA) and make this hotel acceptable. As long as this location is a Rodeway Inn, we will not stay there again.

Good day, my family have been staying at the Rodeway Inn for roughly 4 months now. The place is filthy, even though we've seen worst. We've been enduring mice, roaches, gnats and flies. They're advertising continental breakfast, when they don't serve breakfast. The Wi-Fi, doesn't work. They claim that they don't have the password to their own Wi-Fi, and have even encouraged us to attempt to illegally use Best Western's Wi-Fi. We have to call front desk at least six times daily to reset the router when the Wi-Fi did work.

It is clear that their router is broken and it appears that they are spoofing a dysfunctional Wi-Fi signal. We pay over $400 weekly, and endure filthy surroundings because of the price compared to the nicer hotels. The least that Rodeway Inn can do, is ensure that we receive the services we are entitled to. Or compensate us for the lack thereof. They also have a habit of hiding information pertaining to the choice rewards promotions. This complaint is in regard to the Rodeway Inn: 1650-Route-1-South- Rahway NJ 07065.

This hotel is nothing like the web page says it offers customers. If you want to stay in a hotel that is dirty, run down, and has very rude employees, then this is the place for you. To top off this horrible one night stay, this hotel charged my bank 3 times for the same room.

I spoke to the front desk when checking out, and they said that they would refund me for their mistake. But a few days later, I noticed it was never a refund, it was another charge for the same amount. Now my bank has been charged over $300 for one night. I tried calling, and the female employee at the front desk was very rude. Told me that I do not know what I'm talking about, and that I was not listening to her. When we arrived at the Rodeway Inns in Plymouth North Carolina the front seat was nice. But that was the only good thing about it. We get our key and head up to our room. Wouldn’t you know it. The door doesn’t work and the guy can’t fix it till tomorrow at some point. So if we left we would have to go get the front desk and have them open our door. Then we are getting situated and 3 of the 4 outlets don’t work, two of the four lamps don’t work, and the remote didn’t work (Yes we checked the batteries. It just didn’t work).

At that point I was ready to abort mission but I had already paid for this months in advance and I was told I would not be able to receive a refund. So we try to make the best out of it and I hopped in the shower... to find someone’s old HARD wash rags. The bathtub felt like it was going to collapse as soon as you step in it. The AC unit wouldn’t go any higher than low and wouldn’t get the room cool at all. And the fridge was on a box and didn’t stay cold because the door was broke. I will never ever use them again. And I hope this helps someone from making the mistakes I did. Now I want to find a phone number to call and complain to.

Our room had a heavy mold smell and a large wet spot on the ceiling. The photos of the property are not updated. The property was not managed well. Lots of weeds growing everywhere, the parking lot needed repaired and the building needed to be painted. The only reason we stayed and asked for different rooms was because Choice would not refund our money. The manager did get us into two cleaner rooms but we had to pay a fee to upgrade to a better room. No one should have to pay more just to not smell mold or have a room cleaned.
