We booked Rodeway for July 25th as we were going to see Seinfeld at OLG Stage. Arrived @ 3:30 and were told our room was not ready but would be "soon". This "soon" carried on for close to 4 hours and we didn't get into our room # 255 until 7:00pm. We found the carpet very dirty and badly worn and there was a blood stain on the top sheet on one of the beds. My partner found it very odd as well, that the draw sheet was placed on top of the duvet so there wasn't anything separating your body from the actual duvet. When asked about it, they claimed they washed all duvets daily which we really found suspect.

Bottom line we wasted 4 hours of our time going there back & forth seeing if our room was ready & had they just told us the truth when we arrived we would have gone sightseeing. I would never stay here again, the beds are very soft & well worn out and I wouldn't recommend Rodeway to anyone. The place is very run down and actually should be inspected - period. My booking was through Expedia (confirmation attached).

This property is now "Rodeway Inn", the change happened after I booked. The carpet was dirty in the hallways and the room. We arrived to a soaked carpet near the A/C, which ended up being fixed while we were out on July 4th, and a big fan put in the room to dry it up. I'm so glad I travel with disposable towels, because the bath towels were disgusting, as was the mold around the shower area and filth around the toilet; we showered in flip-flops. The only thing that worked right was the microwave and fridge.

The room stayed damp, but air had to stay on; clothing we left out to wear when we left Sunday were damp, it was so disgusting! The sheets were never changed, the room was never cleaned, and I took our full garbage cans down to the front desk because they share a dumpster with the Waffle House across the way, so the young lady at the desk said she'd take it. I ended up dumping it in the trash cans in the lobby per the employee's approval. The biggest insult is the amount of money we spent staying in this snake pit, but there were no other rooms anywhere due to the holiday.

The sad part is the staff was OUTSTANDING!!!! If I knew better, I'd have eaten the price of my airline ticket & just canceled, because initially I was told I didn't even have a room reserved. I will NEVER book another hotel without a super fine-tooth comb search beforehand. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE, YOU'LL BE SORRY!

Hotel Avenida, one of the Rodeway Inns, at 1301 N El Camino Real San Clemente, CA 92672. On Mon 4/28/25, about 11pm, I tried to book a room. I googled Hotel Avenida, San Clemente, but instead of seeing the hotel website, I was immediately redirected to Priceline’s website, which quoted a rate of $89/night. Then, after I booked the room, the rate was shown as $118/night. I was never asked whether I wanted a SMOKING or NON-SMOKING room. Priceline sent me an email saying: Hotel Phone Number: 347-752-4172. That area code is in New York City, so I called that number. The employee I spoke to was very difficult to understand, and had a heavy accent. He also said that my room was SMOKING. I told him that I wanted a NON-SMOKING room. He told me to call the hotel directly, and he gave me the hotel phone number (area code 949), which I called. The employee there said I needed to talk to Priceline.

Again, I called the 347 number, and again got an employee who was very difficult to understand, and he told me to call the hotel directly, so I did, but now it was a little after 12 midnight, and there was no answer. Tue 4/29 3:45 pm I called the hotel, and was finally told that no NON-SMOKING rooms were available, so I cancelled my reservation, and went to another hotel. But by then, it was too late, and I forfeited over $300. Notice that Priceline’s email gave several different cancellation deadlines: "Cancellation Policy:" This rate is fully refundable if cancelled within 24 hours of booking. If cancelled after 24 hours, the following policy applies: This booking is fully refundable if you cancel before 2025-04-29 11:59 PM. This booking is Non-refundable after 2025-04-30 12:00 AM. This booking is Non-refundable after 2025-05-03 12:00 AM. This booking is Non-refundable after 2025-05-02 11:59 PM. "

When the reservation was made, the gentleman was polite, friendly & professional. He honored the “Hotel Tonight” rate even though I didn’t use the app. The room was acceptable & matched the online photos & description. When it came time to showering, my traveling partner woke up at 4:00 am & no hot water in the sink or shower. He let the water run for about 10 minutes & it never warmed up, so he took a cold shower.

When I woke up at 6:00 am, no hot water. I went to the front desk & let him know. He said there were only 2 water heaters for the entire building. I said that no hot water (not even lukewarm) was unacceptable & NOT my problem. It was very cold water. I asked if I could use a shower in another room. He gave me another room key & when I unlocked the door & turned the light on, I was surprised to find people in the two beds. I dashed out, went back to the desk & and told him there were people in the room. He gave me another room key. After letting the water run for a good 15 minutes, no hot water.

The gentleman at the front desk then said that there are a lot of “** workers” staying at the hotel & they get up early at 4:00 or 5:00 am to get ready for work. I again said it was unacceptable & not my problem!!! By this time I was tired of hauling my shower supplies & clothing from room to room. He finally took me to an entirely different wing & the water was “blazing hot”! But by this time my traveling partner was worried sick that I had been abducted. He went to the front desk & said that I had reported no hot water & had not returned. Forty-five minutes had elapsed. They showed him to the room I was in & he was genuinely worried & said he felt sick to his stomach. We had a 9 to 10 hour drive & it really set us back. Such an inconvenience! I’d think twice about staying here.

They was to pay for two weeks & check available rooms for Wed. I was sending 8 more men for a 2 month stay. The lady at front desk told them to get out. She wasn't giving them room because my foreman forgot his ID. Room was in company name, paid with company card & my son had his ID. So they call tell me. I call, tell her who I am & start explaining what my son had told me. She stopped me mid sentence, called me liar, said I was one that tried check in & hung up. Wow lol so I call back. Maybe speak to owner or her boss. No she answers & tells me she calling cops & hung up again. So they are losing out on about 9 rooms for a month & 1/2 maybe longer. RODEWAY INN Phoenix north I-17. VERY BAD PLACE. LOT OF HOMELESS AND DRUG ADDICTS AROUND. Never ever book this hotel. It's a scam. I have booked this hotel 2 rooms for me and my elderly parents through Priceline. When I reached there at night the receptionist suggested me that this hotel is not safe for family with kids and elder people.

She suggested me to take another hotel and ask me to check with Priceline for refund. I found lot of homeless people around and also drug addicts. I also didn't feel safe. So I left and took another hotel with last minute high price. When I contacted Priceline and complained about it they said they will check with hotel. When pPriceline checked with hotel they simply denied the fact. I just lost all my booking amount. I would never go there if I ever read the review of this hotel before booking. I would never recommend this place. This place sould have been shut down.

Do not stay at this hotel in Front St. Temecula Ca. Reserved a room from 7/22 to 7/25. I could not sleep or rest. The room next to ours was full of youngsters knocking on the door at very early morning and various times for others to open the door and to let them in. The room could not have been reserved for so many kids. They came up the stairs on high heels cascading the sound of it on the wood stairs. They were loud. I called a male Rodeway Inn clerk to come and talk to them. Three times. Rodeway Inn did not do anything and did not care. Why false advertisement? The description on the Priceline booking said that the hotel provides breakfast. Upon checking in the clerk said there was no breakfast and the the owner already knew that it was advertised that way.

We booked two rooms to attend our son’s Marine Corp graduation in Pensacola for April 6, 7, 8, and 9th, 2022 through Booking.com. One room was a single for our son’s fiancé, one room for us (the parents). We arrived after 6 pm on April 6 after flying In from out of state. His fiancé arrived 11 pm after driving 6 hours. The hotel was NOT AS ADVERTIZED!!! No help from Booking.com!

As we pulled up there was a big sign out front that said the hotel was still open even though it appeared to be closed for construction. The front doors of the hotel were under construction and the AC was not working. There was no one at the front desk and vagrants were hanging around outside. There was a sign at the desk saying to go to a room in the hotel to check in. We asked the clerk to assign both rooms on the first floor for safety (we were originally assigned room 236 and 112). The clerk assigned us 112 and 1111. We were later charged for all three rooms.

The rooms were filthy. One room had a coating on the tile that was greasy and had to be walked on carefully to avoid slipping. Latex rubber gloves on the floor and roaches on the wall. We asked for housekeeping to please address these problems but were told that there was no one available till the morning. Room 1111 had empty water bottles on the floor and a used condom behind the nightstand along with other trash. (We had to move the nightstand to unplug the electric clock that shorted out and was sparking). Our son’s fiancé felt unsafe as there were unkempt men roaming the halls after “workers” should have been long gone. We checked her out of the hotel the next morning and we checked out the following day after we were able to find other rooms in Pensacola.

When we checked out we were told that “the system” was down and they could not give us a receipt. I took the desk clerk’s name (Tetiana) down, left her our email address, and asked her to send us a receipt as soon as possible. We called several times that day and were told the system would not be up until the following day. We called again the next day and were told the system was still down.

When we got back home, we began calling the hotel and booking.com to no avail. Mr. ** who would only be in on Thursdays. We finally spoke with him on Thursday April 14. He said he would adjust the bill and take off the charge for room 236. He said he would call us back. We waited until Tuesday April 19, and called the hotel and spoke to Elonga. She said we had to speak to Mr. ** and he would not be in until Thursday April 16. You get the picture. This continued without resolution. No word from Booking.com.

This room was booked ton March 24 through Booking.com for 4 nights with an arrival April 6 and checking out April 9 under my name for our son’s fiancé. Because of the condition of the room and the fact that the hotel was not at all as described, she checked out the following morning and found safer, cleaner accommodations.

We tried to contact Booking.com immediately upon arrival and again the following morning but there was no phone number to reach them. We tried to get help at the front desk but the desk clerk could not help and the manager, Mr. ** was not on the premises. We sat outside of the hotel lobby and tried to contact all we could think of including Roadway Inn reservations, Booking.com and the hotel lobby. The Roadway reservation system at the hotel was down and the clerk could not give us a receipt or any help at all. There was no customer service number we could find for Booking.com. We could not reach anyone.

Summary: This was one of the worst experiences we have ever had with a hotel. The hotel was not as advertised and Booking.com charged us as well as the hotel for the same rooms, so we double paid. We still have not heard from Booking.com about fixing this situation. warning!!! Avoid this website and save yourself headaches and money and time!!!

Wanted to leave this review, Because this could happen to anyone and I want the world to know. Me and my family were staying here in between apartments. At first, it was great! Friendly stuff, great location, great price! However, we are millennials and we order DOORDASH every other day! I still have it on no contact delivery meaning that they take a picture of your door and leave the food by the window or floor.

I suppose the old owners never even heard of DoorDash because according to them this was suspicious activity. It looks like someone taking pictures and dropping off drugs or something! I tried to talk to the general manager however there was no talking to him and they kicked us out with no question. This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable! Me and my family were literally living there! And they kicked us out for something so trivial without any chance to explain myself! I’d never come back here if my life depended on it and I wouldn’t bring your family here. (PS bring bug spray.)

I walked into my first room I booked at Rodeway Inns in Fort Sill, OK and the sheets were dirty, had cigarette holes and rips. I opened a washcloth and it was still dirty. There was animal hair all over the comforter. I lifted a pillow on the first bed and there was a large, dead spider under it. The sink took over 10 minutes to drain and it didn't even have the plug in it. The tub looked like it had never been cleaned. I wouldn't even step in it with flip-flops on.

Then they put me in a 2nd room. Again, dirty sheets with cigarette holes, rips and dirty. There were no light bulbs in the lamps and there were live cockroaches in the bathroom. They told me they only had 1 room left to put me in and if I didn't like it, they would give me my money back. I stayed in the 3rd room because of the ultimatum. The handle on the toilet was broken, no towels in the room, no toilet paper holder and dirty, ripped, torn and what appeared to be dried bodily fluids on the sheets. I kept photos of all of it.

April 30th I came to the Rodeway Inn, 2010 E. Apache Blvd, Tempe, Arizona after having booked online. My intent was to have a bed there while getting a Lyft for a medical appointment. After the procedure I would be unable to drive due to sedation. It's 10:50 and I drove 200 miles from Yuma, Arizona expecting a room. The lyft would be at 11:40 am, 40 minutes from the time I arrived. I had scarcely walked to the registration door when the manager blocked the door and said "we're booked. We don't sign any new people in before 3pm." I had never seen treatment like this. I stood there speechless. She repeated herself standing in the doorway, "you need to go away, we're not booking anyone before 3:00". I sheepishly turned away wondering what I was going to do. My medical ride was coming and I wasn't sure I could redirect it to another hotel or motel in half an hour. I left and tried the nearest motels but they were not available.

I came back around 11:30. I thought I could park in the lot, leave the car there when the lyft came, and attempt to book when I came back. The additional problem would be I'd be under sedation and could not drive. I could not go looking for another hotel. I got out of the car and stood inconspicuously attempting to call my medical facility to tell them of my overnight situation. Then, the manager came up, literally charging at me like a bull and yelling at me. "You can't stay here! You can't hang around until three o'clock. Get off this property!". I tried to tell her why I was making a call but it was no use. She accused me of being rude. She needed to apply "rude" to herself in the mirror. Yes, I saw construction trucks in the lot and I was staying out of the way. She asked for my name, which I gave, then said "I'm cancelling your reservation". I have never encountered such a stupid pretense of a hotel manager. I will never, ever consider Rodeway Inn again.

My Lyft did arrive as I was leaving the property. I parked on the street so she would have no excuse to tow me. By the way the medical facility hearing this treatment by Rodeway Inn booked me at their expense to a Residence Inn by Marriott. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The Rodeway Inn, by contrast looking at the outside, looked like a poorly maintained slum.

This is in reference to case # **: Here are the facts. I had made a reservation at a Rodeway Inn for June 28, 2019, in Long Beach with confirmation # **. I had a confirmed reservation guaranteed with a credit card. Someone at Choice Hotels canceled my reservation on June 28, 2019 at approximately 4:45 p.m. for no reason. When I called the Rodeway Inn to inquire, they said that they had no record of the reservation! I spent a long time on hold with Customer Service, and when I finally got a representative on the line, the gentleman said that an investigation would be opened. An investigation was opened and Choice Hotels accused me of canceling the reservation by phone?! I NEVER cancel reservations by phone and why in the world would I cancel the reservation when I needed it?! (I use my account on the company's website.)

But wait, it gets even worse! The Choice Hotels customer service rep said that they had my voice on tape. I then asked her to play the recording, and she said that she would send it to me via e-mail. I never received it because it doesn't exist because I never canceled my own reservation! Someone is lying or someone is impersonating me.

Now, to make matters ever worse, in July I learned that the property was no longer part of Choice Hotels, so what I believe is that the Inn Keeper canceled the reservation himself because he had some dispute with Choice Hotels, and now Choice Hotels doesn't want to compensate me for my loss and the hours I have spent on the phone. I expect to be compensated with points or the amount of the room reservation, which was $72.25 + tax. Otherwise, I am going to take the case to Small Claims in Henderson, NV.

I asked if she could switch out the room and she said they were fully booked. The parking lot was empty. Not one car. I thought it was actually a closed business. The couch had a big hole on it. The bed was half done. Window was filthy inside and outside. I couldn’t even sit on the chair that was in there because it was so old and filthy. Gross!!! I immediately requested a refund. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The worst experience by far!

I called Rodeway inn Florence, Ky. Made a reservation 3 weeks in advance, called the next day to cancel and was charged $ 183.10. This is not right. They say within 24 hours of visit. My reservation was called in July 19, 2019 for 2 nights in Aug. 2- leaving on the 4th. Not very happy. Still in a process to get my money back.

Hello, I want to make a complaint in regards to an unexpected stay at one of your Rodeway hotels. I paid 62.00 for this room to be in it for less than an hr. The night attendant barely knew English, didn’t set the room keys up correctly to the point he had to come to look for himself, and then have to run back to fix it. My wife and I literally pulled the blankets on one bed to discover hair on the pillows, cigarette burns on the bed and we looked at the other bed and choose to use that one to be in it for 10 minutes and discover my wife got bit by BED BUGS this. I have pictures to prove this and had to take her to the hospital as she is asthmatic and that caused her to have an asthma attack.

The bathroom was not cleaned and for it not being a non smoking room it stunk the minute you opened up the door. I then went and got the attendant and he looked at me like I was lying to him. I took him to the room and showed him the bug myself that was discovered on the bed after me pulling over the sheets completely. HE then proceeded to tell me he couldn’t move us to anther room and could not return my monies. I would like to know whom handles situations like this as I had to go to anther room and pay again for a different place as that one was filthy and had bed bugs in it. This situation was uncalled for and the attendant had no idea what to do.. this establishment needs some serious taking care of and CLEANED OUT. 4250 Belmont Ave, Youngstown, OH 44505
