I've been in Los Angeles since the early 90s. I've seen this city change, I've moved around it more times than I care to count, and I've dealt with enough moving companies to know that most of them aren't worth the headache. United Prime Van Lines is the exception. Needed to move a large 3 bedroom from Encino to Sherman Oaks. Lot of furniture, lot of history in that house, some pieces I genuinely care about. My wife was more nervous about this than I was but honestly her instincts about these things are usually right so I took the vetting process seriously.

Called several companies. Most of them either couldn't give me a straight answer on pricing or sent someone out who spent more time selling than listening. United Prime Van Lines gave me a clear number, a clear process, and answered every question without the runaround. Anton, Max and Yuri showed up moving day. Three guys who clearly knew what they were doing. Worked efficiently, communicated well, didn't need me standing over them directing every move. My wife's antique vanity made it without a scratch. That was the real test. Job came in on time, on budget. I don't recommend companies lightly. But these guys earned it. If you're in LA and you need movers who actually do the job right, call United Prime Van Lines. Simple as that.

Excellent freight and hauling partner. I needed to move a large shipment of goods, and UPVL United Prime Van Lines delivered 100%. The truck arrived exactly on time—spotless and featuring their familiar blue logo. The crew was solid, all wearing neat blue t-shirts with white text, skipping the dirty baggy coveralls. They properly distributed the weight and securely strapped down the cargo. Everything arrived in perfect condition. The pricing was completely transparent, matching the original estimate to the cent. Reliable service, will definitely use them again.

A long-distance move like this is a massive step, and I am so incredibly glad I trusted UPVL United Prime Van Lines with it. Honestly, my biggest fear was that the final price would skyrocket after loading, as you always hear in moving horror stories. But no! The price stayed exactly as originally quoted—not a single cent added. When the clean white truck with their beautiful blue logo pulled up on moving day, I immediately felt at ease. The guys carefully wrapped all my furniture, fragile mirrors, and boxes of dishes. Despite the huge distance, absolutely everything arrived in perfect condition. Huge thanks for the honesty, care, and for saving my sanity!

I truly appreciated how responsive and reliable the service was throughout my move. Anytime I had a question or concern, the team got back to me quickly and helped put my mind at ease. The packing crew did a great job helping everything fit neatly into my ReloBox, which made the entire process simple and hassle-free. Being able to track my shipment online at every stage was a huge plus and added extra peace of mind. Overall, the move felt easy and well supported from start to finish—thank you for making it such a smooth experience!

      Reviewed June 12, 2026

I am writing to share my experience with United Prime Van Lines. While I believe the company has some dedicated employees and the potential to provide quality service, my interactions with management and the billing department were deeply disappointing and ultimately led me to cancel my move. As a disabled military veteran relocating from Texas to Atlanta for a new position, I was seeking a moving company that would provide professionalism, transparency, and respect throughout the process. My experience with Ian, a sales representative, was exceptional. He was courteous, responsive, and genuinely appeared committed to making my relocation as smooth as possible. I appreciate his efforts and professionalism.

Unfortunately, my experience with the billing department was the complete opposite. During a conversation with Molly, a billing representative, I felt that my concerns were dismissed in a disrespectful and demeaning manner. When I explained that I had previously paid other moving companies in full using a credit card, I was essentially treated as though I was being dishonest. The tone of the conversation was unprofessional, and I felt belittled rather than assisted. Prior to these discussions, I had already submitted a payment of more than $1,700. The company informed me that their concern was ensuring that payment cleared before the scheduled pickup date. I had no objection to this requirement and attempted to make payment on June 12, 2026, for a move scheduled on June 21, 2026. In my view, this provided more than sufficient time for processing. Nevertheless, I was informed that my move was considered "high risk."

My subsequent conversation with a manager, Yuri, was equally troubling. During our discussion on June 12, 2026, I was left with the impression that assumptions were being made about my financial situation simply because I intended to pay for the move using my American Express Platinum card. It was suggested that I may not have the cash available to cover the move, despite the fact that the company had no knowledge of my financial circumstances, employment status, or professional background. As a result, I felt unfairly judged and treated with a lack of respect. Although I appreciate the company's willingness to issue a refund, the manner in which I was treated throughout this process was unacceptable. Professionalism and respect should be extended to all customers regardless of their payment method or personal circumstances.

As a disabled veteran and a Biomedical Engineer working on a military installation, I have dedicated my career to serving others. The experience left me concerned about how other military families, veterans, and individuals making significant interstate relocations may be treated. Moving across state lines is often a major financial undertaking, and many consumers choose to utilize credit cards for convenience, rewards, expense tracking, or cash-flow management. Such decisions should not automatically result in assumptions regarding a customer's financial stability.

Based on my experience, I encourage prospective customers to thoroughly review payment policies and ensure they are comfortable with the company's billing practices before committing to a contract. While some employees were highly professional and helpful, my interactions with management and billing fell far short of the standards I would expect from a company entrusted with handling a major life transition. I hope this feedback encourages United Prime Van Lines to reevaluate how customers are treated and to provide a more respectful, professional, and customer-focused experience in the future.

If I could give zero stars I would. It began at pickup. Despite detailed (with measurements) descriptions of items over the phone several times, I was found to be over the limit weight/space wise in the truck and charged an additional $716. Then I was told that my load was going from MA to NJ to NV. Great, I thought there would be no problem them making their delivery window pf 5/17-5/20/26. I was wrong. I started seeking my stuff in earnest when nothing showed up 5/20. No response from UPVL. When I did finally get a response from Molly, I got empty promises about dates. After a few times of this, I brought up lawyer? Then I got a guy named Aibar in CA who was supposed to make clients happy, He supposedly tracked my load to where it was SITTING and loaded it the next day. I COULDN'T get confirmation of this. I am still waiting after being told it would be another 4-6 days. Where is my stuff? Where has it been?

Bait and switch on price. I had two estimates from their employees (one when I hired them and one three days before the move) and both were reasonable (1st one was $7,500, 2nd was $7,050). Then when the moving truck showed up, I got a call from the office and they told me the driver found that my items will take up more space than estimated so my new total was $8,000. It took them over 8 hours to load my items in the truck but before he left at 12:30 am, he told me it took even more space than he estimated earlier so it would be an additional $790 ($8,790 total).

I had to be out of the house that day so I was stuck. Now I’m worried because they don’t drop of my stuff until July 15th so I’m sure they will add more cost at delivery. I texted both of their employees who previously gave me estimates and wouldn’t you know, they didn’t respond. Very deceptive. They had me over a barrel on moving day and took advantage of me.

Hey everyone! I booked a full-service move with this company from Burbank to Los Angeles. My apartment wasn’t very big, just 2 rooms, but I had way more stuff than I expected. The crew showed up, wrapped all my furniture and belongings, and covered everything with blue moving blankets to keep it protected. They packed everything quickly and took it away. A couple of days later, they delivered everything to my new apartment and placed it exactly where I asked. Overall, everything went well. Some of the boxes arrived a bit dented, but it wasn’t a big deal since they only contained personal items. All the furniture and appliances were intact, and that’s what really matters. Thanks, guys!

The move from Oakland to San Francisco was handled in a calm and organized way. At the start, I want to thank the crew because they put down floor covers and wrapped my larger furniture before lifting anything, which made me feel my things were safe. The dresser and sofa were carried out carefully through a tight doorway, and nothing touched the walls.

At the new place, the bed was reassembled, tightened, and ready the same night. Kitchen cartons were set right on the counters so I could unpack quickly, and the living room boxes were lined against the wall to keep the space open. One thoughtful moment was when they moved the sofa twice until it fit better with the rug- they didn’t rush and made sure I was happy. A small mirror that I was worried about came in perfect condition because it had been packed separately. Everything arrived without damage, the apartment stayed clean, and the whole process felt steady. I’m grateful for the care and for the way they kept things simple. It turned a stressful day into a manageable one.
