I submit dental insurance claims for our dental office. Aflac received my claims back in June of this year, 2023. Still no payment. When I call them, I am on hold for approx 45 minutes. Then their rep tells me that they have all of our claims and they are still in process. I was also told they are having a issue with their system and no one is getting paid. They are unable to tell me when we will get paid. I am now done with them. Going to file with the Insurance Commissioner. They are a horrible company to deal with and would never recommend them to anyone!!

They don't pay claims in the 1-3 or 5-7 days. Like they say they will. They are taking their time to pay claims. They Advertise one thing and do another. Should not take this long to process a claim.

Since I’ve had the policy, I’ve called customer service several times, and customer service could not give me any information on the policy. They did not give me a full refund. They only gave me a partial refund. I went to the dentist and I couldn’t even get a routine check up or x-ray policy not useful. If you’re on disability, you will get ripped off..

My insurance card has another member's personal information on it! I am unable to use my insurance that I am paying for....When I call Argus I am hold forever. No one ever answered. It also applies to Aflac Dental and Vision Insurance. Agent not much help either.

I have never had a more terrible customer service experience that I have had with AFLAC Dental Insurance. You have to call an 855 number to talk to anyone about your coverage or benefits or claims and I have consistently over weeks spent at least 45 minutes on hold each time I try to call in. I will eventually get in and then they will tell me that the servers are down and they cannot help me and I need to call back in about 30 minutes. I have asked if there is an email, an extension or a way to put myself on a waiting list to get a call back to discuss a claim and they say, "No. You have to go back and sit on hold until we have time to answer your phone call."
I have just been trying to reach someone because my semi annual dental preventative cleaning was not covered even though my benefits state, it should be covered for twice a year cleanings. I got through the line once. Talk to someone who said, "Yes. It should’ve been covered. We will escalate the claim and you will get a call back in the next two days," and I have not got a call back and it’s been two weeks.

I have to say even though I did find a better policy that worked for me, Aflac did make it easy to cancel, and they also DID refund me money. I was surprised that it wasn't going to be a hassle to cancel. Thank you.

I was told I would get my premium back if I called to cancel within a month and that never happened. Don't use Aflac. I'm very upset and want something done about this. I have never been this disappointed.

Have had a claim denied 2 times once when I did it and once when my Aflac rep tried it, only to get a bunch of ** from the company. Save money, don't pay for this scam of a company and stuck with this until end of the year.

Aflac dental really helps with expensive dental bills because it pays various amounts for various procedures. As with all dental plans the amount payable depends on how long you've had the plan. It does pay immediately for check ups and cleaning. It is never too late to file a claim and get paid. Even years later, if you had work done, have documentation from the dentist, you will be paid. Even if you cancel the coverage if you had coverage when the work was done, you will be must be, paid!

I have had most of my policies since 2004. I have Accident, Dental, and Cancer policies. I struggle with the majority of my claims on Dental. For instance, I had work on 10/9/2019 and put in a bridge. It took over 4 weeks for them to even acknowledge that they received my submission. Then when I was paid, they only paid me for one tooth. After noticing this I had to wait close to 2 hours to talk to a live rep to point out their oversight. Within two days they paid for an additional tooth but have now refused to pay for the final tooth since it was missing prior to work. I found this out and told them that the tooth was pulled in July of 2018 and that my policy was 14 years old at that point and I should be covered. So I submitted a services rendered sheet for all work done at my dentist for the last three years.
In this paperwork it detailed that the tooth in question was pulled last year. So just this past Monday, I'm told now that this particular submission of evidence was overlooked and that my daughter's claim is now denied. I pointed out what claim for my daughter to rep. The original claim was just in my name! I believe they deliberately delay or deny claims so the average consumer gives up. How is it that they have access to my dental provider and past paperwork showing work done, yet they quickly deny claims??? Service there has really changed over the years.

I have had Dental with Aflac for years now. I hardly ever put in a request for reimbursement, mostly because you have to wait a year before you can even use it but in the long run I was thinking it would pay off being a single mom of three. I did however turn one in on October 3rd which they said a month later that they would reimburse me 25.00 which is not correct, I had to research it myself to find out that they owe me more like 85.00. It's now December 13th and I have not been paid. I keep getting the runaround that they are re-reviewing it.
This is what the rep told me in a email "There is a document in line for review for Julie. It appears it will pay, but our dental claims and the re-look of dental claims are extremely behind. Dental is still not on SmartClaim, the 24 hour review, like our other plans. This will not be reviewed for another couple weeks. I'm sorry for the delay and troubles with the dental payout." That really doesn't help at all!! Terribly disappointed.

I faxed paperwork over towards the end of September for 3 dental claims. I know they’re behind but only 1 out of the 3 claims was processed and paid out. Every time I call I get the same answer. This is ridiculous.

April 15th I had a regular clean, xrays, etc. Basic stuff. I took the AFLAC forms for the dentist to complete. I had most of it filled out. By the time the account was fully paid it was July 2019! The dentist said #1 they lost the form. The 2nd month: they don't do AFLAC (I had advised them they had received payment from AFLAC before). They finally received payment, but it was to dentist no longer in practice. I insisted it was still sent, and their responsibility to track it. It went on and on. 3 months later, the office says, I still owe $50. I was glad I had my paperwork. I had proof of payment. When I've asked for help from my local AFLAC rep, they aren't much help.

Hello I requested a refund from Aflac Dental because I couldn’t never use them for my dental needs. I requested a refund for 5 months of monthly drafts from my checking account. Aflac sent me a letter that said no refund do but I never used the insurance because it wouldn’t pay for deep cleaning. This is my last attempt.

The process to start the policy was so smooth and easy and I was happy that my wife and I would finally be able to visit the dentist. Well, not everything was as perfect as I imagine it would be. I asked the representative who called me when I requested a Dental Plan through their website, that I specifically need it a Dental Insurance not a reimbursement or supplemental plan. He assure me that this was the kind of plan I needed, that everything will be fine, that I will be able to see a dentist in no time.
So, days go by, I receive my id cards in the mail and off to the dentist I go. First thing the receptionist look at the ID card and look at her coworker, with that WTF face. That worried me immediately. She couldn't find a group number, so she could verify my insurance. I called Aflac, they state I don't need a group number, because of whatever reason that didn't even made sense to myself, imagine if I explain that to the receptionist at the dental office. Back to the dentist office. The receptionist ask for the card so she can try to call Aflac directly, she calls the number on the back of the card and guess what? Yup, you guessed it right. Aflac automatic system said it will take about 2 and a half hour before a representative could be in the phone to verify.
As I write this review I am waiting for someone from the Customer Service Department answer me, because immediately after I say I want to cancel the representative told me I had reach the wrong department that he will transfer me. Another lady answer, after one hour waiting, she also said I reached the wrong department. How long had I be waiting you ask? 3 hours 10 minutes 11 seconds. I guess they want me to get tired of waiting and hang up, or for 5pm to come so the call drop and I be obligated to call tomorrow again and wait another 10 hours for someone to actually help me with the cancelation. If you want to try their services and see if I am lying, go head. But I will never recommend Aflac to anyone. At least not their Dental plan.

My wife picked up the policy quite some time ago when she received an offer in the mail for low cost dental insurance. For me getting insured was actually quite easy because I was added to my wife's policy with a quick call then about 10 days later we received the identification cards. The insurance is very easy to use and I am able to go to any doctor of my choice. Unless it's a basic service the dentist requires that all payments are paid ahead and the insurance reimburses me the difference. But the cost of procedures is quite high so unless it is just for a basic cleaning and checkup the cost out of my pocket is quite painful. The upfront payment is very low though and usually all I pay upfront or at all.

Aflac Dental Insurance is a good option that is not too pricey and is good for basic dental care. I chose my dental policy after completing the process online via the California Affordable Care website and the process was semi simple. I like that it covers a cleaning every 6 months and for a low monthly price. I only have one thing that I would improve which would be having the ability to find a dentist that accepts my insurance and being able to book appointments and access my dental records online. If I wanted to switch providers or if I needed to be referred to a specialist I wish it could all be done easily online.

Aflac is an insurance company that I could afford with a very small budget compared to other insurance companies because I had called a lot of different dental insurance companies and received really high quotes. They cover most of your out of pocket cost. Plus, they have really cute and catchy commercials that make you remember the name really easy. Also, they have great customer service and the process was simple. I got an advertisement in the mail & signed up afterward. The customer service wasn't long of a wait and the person helping me on the phone was sweet and understanding of what plan I needed to choose. I'm highly satisfied with using Aflac Dental insurance.

I had heard great things through a coworker is what got me initially interested. Was an easy process to get through the sign up process easily, took you by the hand and walked you through. Had any question I have answered on the spot by very knowledgeable agents with Aflac. Like the fact that their dental coverage was for the most part all encompassing. I would like it if they had one person who individually walked you through the process and after you signed up as well if you had any issues. Dealt with a few people which wasn't a major factor overall.

I heard about the insurance from my sister. She had been going on and on about how I had to switch over to this insurance company as I wasn't satisfied with my last one. I've never looked back. For once, my sister was right about something!! It was all purchased online with little effort. It seemed like a breeze! The people that I talk to on the phone about my insurance seem very helpful and kind to me. The claims are easy to file. They seem to genuinely care about making me happy so that I keep being insured by them. They are a fairly good company, I wish they would expand their coverage area, but all in all I am genuinely satisfied and feel I am getting what I pay for.

My policy was offered through my employment. I like that they helped pay to fix my families' teeth. It's also easy to contact someone when there is an issue, question or concern. Obviously, all dental plans fall short of actually covering dental needs of the insured which is something I don't like.

While in the process of purchasing my dental insurance policy was look online on the Google search engine for good recommendations and Aflac popped up and upon reading reviews for them, I decided to go with Aflac. I like being able to cover a large amount of my dental care as well as being a great and reliable company with trust in my dental healthcare. I would really appreciate it if it were cheaper to have Aflac as my dental insurer. It's a bit pricey but at the same time it's worth it.

I initially applied online but then was directed to a phone operator who then lead me to my true quote, which was a much better deal than I even thought possible. It was very simple and they really surprised me by their expertise and professional service. A definite A plus from me. I like the way in which the customer service reps take you through everything step by step, and also once you are in, they make sure to take care of you every step of the way. I couldn't be more happy with how Aflac has treated me and my family. For sure a first class company. But I would change the waiting time that they put you on hold, for things that in my opinion shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes. If I want to ask a question, I should be able to get through to an operator instantly without any delay.

Through work they offered me 3 different insurance to choose one and I chooses Aflac Dental Insurance. I completed the form at work and returned it to my supervisor. It's very affordable and we can depend on it with all the family dental problems. Also, we can find it any place we want and many doctors accept it. It's perfect. We can take care of our dentist without any hassle. However, they can improve it by increasing the yearly amount per person.

Aflac meets all of my needs. Any claims have been processed in a timely and efficient manner although I don't have many claims. I use online quotes and call if not enough information is available online. I choose the best value policy, taking into account price as well as the services offered and any deductibles. Premiums could always be lower. Overall, Aflac is a good company.

I chose my dental policy through an online website. It was an easy process and it didn't take too long to complete. I was happy that I was approved because it made things easier for me. I also chose the best pros and least amount of cons. Overall, the process was stress free. This company is really flexible with the benefits it has and gives minimum issues to the consumer. You're able to choose from many different types of dentists that are available in your area without having any debates on whether you're approved or not. I personally like everything they have to offer and recommend most people to get this insurance. They are trustworthy and genuine and offer a variety of interesting perks. It's a really great company.

Online research was vital to allow for full understanding of all this company’s items when shopping for insurance. Some reps attempt to upsell products without really knowing them or the inner workings of the processes. There’s not enough available info and I have found this to be confusing and time consuming in all of the research. They had to be done on separate sites with many still not having the information. But I like the ease of access services and products and all processes are simple and easy to understand with little to no issues with small print for needing to clarify items.

There is noting I dislike about any of it ever unless they are out of business or not working on that day ever to my knowledge. Otherwise, they are really good at what they do.

I choose my policy through the Medicaid program. They send you a list of health providers that you can apply for right away over the phone as well as online. It also has many different process that are easy and convenient as well. This is a very good health insurance that comes with some great dental plans. There is little to no out of pocket expense. I never had an insurance program that was this reasonable for a lot of the things that you can use it for.
