How does Window Nation work?

Window Nation’s process is designed around customization, as every window and door is custom-made to your home's specifications before installation.

The process starts with a free consultation and price estimate. Its experts handle the ordering, design and building process for each window and door. Technicians measure each window three times to guarantee accuracy, precision and a tight seal, and each window goes through a 50-point inspection.

The crew hauls away your old windows and conducts a walk-through to ensure the new ones are installed properly. After installation, all windows and doors are backed by a limited lifetime warranty and customer support.

At this point I am very disappointed with Window Nation..April I signed contract with them to replace 7 windows..End of May 6 Were installed. The7th was mismeasured..Was told it would be about 3 wks. to get and install..I started calling W.N. 3rd week in May..Was told window had not even been ordered..After numerous times to reach someone..I was always connected to Maryland? The folks I talked to there were professional and said they were going to involve the regional mng. as they could not do anything..All questions I had needed to be answered by the local dealer in Milwaukee..Did not receive any calls for an apology or other issues..

Finally last week I received a call from Andy who said July 15 they would receive the product..Wanted to hear nothing else I had to say!!! Never heard from a regional manager..All helpful when signing a12,000 contract..Was also promised a 100.00 Visa gift card from a promotion..Never received that...Would never suggest W.N. to anyone..Customer service is awful..

Dishonest from day 1 by fast talking salesman about product and how it’s specially made for my needs. Rescheduled at last minute multiple times. Shows up 8 hours late, to do an 11 1/2 hour job. I guess having my house wide open through the middle of the night was ok in their eyes. I’m sure these guys had no clue how long this job would retake because they were there “well trained employees” I was told would be doing the job. Cry to me because they drove so far. Install doors with broken locks. My keys were stuck in the door outside for over 2 weeks because they didn’t have anyone to come replace locks because they didn’t have their own trained employees. Turns out, they installed broken locks and told me they’re just new and tight and it will work itself out. I felt real safe. Poor caulk job causing water damage inside after the first hard rain. Still waiting for that promised “lifetime warranty” repair. Someone came but he could only do 1/2 the job.

Poor scheduling causing me to miss work and lose pay, poor communication, overpriced for what you get. Poor service, No accountability. Customer pays for the fact they had to “clean house” so not to have employees to do the job they sold. Their words by multiple people, not mine. Offer financing without saying the loan will be sold the day the job is done. I believe that’s so they don’t have customers hold back payment until the job is done right. To make things right, they would give $300 for my troubles on a $13,000. Job. Just a big fat scam in my eyes and and I believe everyone deserves to be warned.

I bought 12 windows from Window Nation in 2017. They were great at first. Now in 2026, 4 out of 12 windows are leaking. They are also getting difficult to open. Of course, the labor warranty for the poor installation has expired. The customer service is horrible. It costs $150 in advance to schedule a technician to come out to inspect the problem and 1.5% credit card fee on top. I would NOT recommend purchasing windows from Window Nation.

★☆☆☆☆. Our experience with Window Nation of Colorado Springs was disappointing from start to finish. We gave Window Nation good faith to professionally order and install six windows in our home, trusting their promises that a professional crew would complete the job correctly in one day. Instead, the original installation lasted more than 10 hours, one of the workers stated he was actually a painter and not a window installer, and three of our windows were installed incorrectly. Privacy glass that was ordered for another room was mistakenly placed in our front room windows, leaving us unable to properly look outside for weeks.

Window Nation had to reorder our windows three to four times because they repeatedly got the order wrong. Even after the correct windows finally arrived, we were not treated as a priority despite months of delays caused entirely by the company's mistakes. We were scheduled only when they had time, while other customers were placed ahead of us. There was also damage left inside and outside our home during the installation process.

Chris, who identified himself as the Colorado Springs director, initially discussed compensation with us and later stated that we should have given him more "good faith" time to determine an amount. However, we feel that we already gave Window Nation good faith by trusting them to professionally order and install our windows from the beginning. After we posted a one-star Google review describing our experience, the compensation discussions ended and we were told they would no longer work with us on our complaint.

Joe and Nathan, the installers who finally corrected the problem, were courteous and professional, and we appreciate their efforts. Unfortunately, their work could not undo months of inconvenience, repeated mistakes, poor communication, and frustration. Potential customers should understand that if mistakes are made, correcting them may take months, and seeking a fair resolution afterward may prove difficult.

I purchased the 10-year warranty when my windows were installed by Window Nation, but my recent experience has made the warranty feel nearly meaningless. This past spring, one of my upper window panels developed a crack from one side to the other, likely due to heat stress during changing cold/warm weather conditions. I discovered the crack in early March and contacted Window Nation for warranty service in mid-March. They responded within a few days, asked me to provide photos of the crack, and confirmed that the repair would be covered under warranty. I then provided the part number as requested. About a week later, I was told the replacement part had been ordered and that the estimated delivery time was four weeks. I was also told that once the part arrived, a technician would be scheduled for service.

Since then, I have received no meaningful updates. I called again in late May and was told they were still waiting for the part. It is now June, and I have had a cracked window for three months with no repair date, no clear timeline, and no apparent plan to resolve the issue. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend relying on Window Nation’s warranty service. A warranty is only valuable if the company actually follows through in a reasonable timeframe. Right now, I feel like I paid for warranty coverage but have been left waiting indefinitely with no accountability.

I contacted the company to schedule a free consult. I didn't appreciate the vibe when they showed up. What was suppose to be a 1 hr consult ended up to being more than 2 1/2 hours. Even though when I set the appt. I told them that I would get other estimates, the rep. became clearly agitated when I wouldn't commit (despite the fact that I said again from the beginning of our meeting, that I would be getting other est). When I set the appt. I was also told that I would receive a Dinner Gift Card for $100 if I meant with them for 1 hr; guess what? No Gift Card. It was a really "Hard Sale" situation, to the point that the price went from about $2,235 per window to about $1,294 per window. I don't know if that's a good price or not, that's why I wanted to check out other options. He kept saying they were voted #1 in with various disciplines, I was like OK, not to be offensive, but I need to be able to do my own research. I just can't afford to make a mistake.

Clearly, I was suppose to take his word for all the claims he was making without question. When I tell you the energy shifted when they realized that I wasn't going to agree to anything; they wouldn't even provide me a copy of the estimate. He said that don't give estimates, "big flag". I suppose I was expected to remember all the information given in a 2 1/2 consult. Feel like I dodged a bullet.

We had all of our windows replaced in a home we purchased prior to moving in. The salesman was great and the installation went smoothly. We had an issue with the installation of a bedroom window, and they came out and fixed it. Sounds great so far, doesn't it? Well, we have another window where the sashes don't line up and the window can't be locked. No matter what we do. We have tried so many times the paint is worn off where the window hits the misalignment.

We called 3 times and left messages before they finally called back and sent someone out to take a look at it. The representative had a hard time locking the window even after several tries. He finally got it to lock and "showed" my husband what he did to get it to lock. Pretty insulting when we have opened, closed and locked all of the other windows in the house with zero issues. Not to mention over 70 years of operating windows. Not a hard task. It shouldn't take jury-rigging and trying over and over again to simply lock a window.

They both came to the conclusion that the sashes needed replaced. He said he would get it ordered and would have some someone out to replace them. Several months have passed, several messages have been left and we have heard nothing from them as to when they will be replaced. There were 2 occasion's where my husband spoke to Customer Service to be told someone would get back in touch with him. Nothing. He then requested the manager call. Nope. Nada. The first time he was lucky enough to speak to customer service it seemed as though the order was never even placed for the sashes. We keep getting the run-around. I will never recommend this company to anyone when they ignore issues in their manufacturing and lack the courtesy to respond to their customers when there are issues.

I placed my initial order for 10 custom windows for $12,000 dollars back on January 2, 2026. Since this time several issues have occurred. It was discovered during the measurement process that the wrong trim color was placed on the order. I had to reach out to customer service several times to get a copy of the correction to the contract. This was finally emailed to me on January 20, 2026. As stated in the install instructions, I had to remove the items from the install locations before your team arrived. I hired people to prepare for this installation by removing the items off the walls and around the install areas.

I did not receive a call the day before from your team to confirm the Saturday install appointment. They showed up at my home without contacting me withing the 30-minute to call before arriving. I requested to see the window to make sure the order was correct, I discovered the windows were not made to order per the contract. I was to receive 3 panes windows, and it was double panes. The windows were to be grey tinted, and they were not tinted per the contract agreement. This installation process was a total debacle, waste of my time, and cost me money. I have not been contacted yet by another from their sales team to resolve this issue.

Window Nation presents itself as a premium, top-of-the-line window company, but based on my firsthand experience working within the Louisville office, those claims are misleading. The products offered are comparable to many other window manufacturers on the market and are not as unique or superior as advertised. I personally worked with multiple customers who experienced serious installation and service failures. In one case, a window was mismeasured, delayed for weeks, and then installed incorrectly—resulting in visible damage, condensation between panes, and poorly finished seals. In another situation, installers ran out of black exterior trim and spray-painted white trim instead of using the correct materials. A sliding glass door was also improperly installed, requiring multiple service visits and extended delays to fix issues that were initially misdiagnosed.

In both cases, the operations department prioritized customers signing loan documents so the company could be paid, even though the work was incomplete or defective. Customers were also contacted unprofessionally and later pressured to change honest survey feedback, with implications that their responses could impact the salesperson’s commission. As of now, several issues remain unresolved. Based on these experiences, I would not recommend Window Nation. Consumers should proceed with caution and negotiate aggressively if they choose to move forward.

BUY LOCAL. This is a national corporation focused on profit, not customer satisfaction. After 3 months of spending multiple days and hours waiting for our installation to be completed the right way, I requested a partial refund to compensate us for our time and aggravation. Pablo, the MN branch manager, verbally agreed that we were due something back. The amount I requested not was unreasonable - it was more than fair. However, when time came to refund us, Pablo ghosted us, citing "staff shortages." When our case landed at corporate HQ in the "Escalation Department," corporate simply bounced it back to Pablo.

We never received the small refund we requested. There is no one locally or at corporate that cares one iota about the customers, and their system is designed so you can never directly reach the person you need to talk to. There is no Vice President of Customer service, which speaks volumes. Apparently, no one in the "Escalation Department" cares that my case has never been resolved to my satisfaction. Window Nation simply doesn't care. They can afford to have an unsatisfied customer among its millions - but your local contractor can't. I placed an $8,223.00 order with Window Nation on April 23, 2025, for a replacement window that was supposed to match the color and look of my existing windows. I was told the window would be manufactured in the same color as the trim we selected—which closely matched my current windows—and that it would look exactly the same. What I received was completely different. The window color does not match the trim or my existing windows, and it includes rubber bumpers on every grid—something I was never informed about. These bumpers resemble the kind used on the back of picture frames and are visually disruptive.

Initially, Window Nation admitted the mistake and said they would replace the window with one in the correct color. Now they’ve reversed course, claiming I agreed to the color (Tan vs. Sandstone). Their own sales rep wrote down the color and knew it needed to match—this explanation is unacceptable. After months of trying to get this resolved, the Sale Manager, admitted that the company could never have manufactured a window in the color I needed. She said that had she been involved earlier, we likely wouldn’t have done business at all. Despite this, Window Nation offered me $2,000—but only if I agreed to stop all reviews and communication with the Better Business Bureau.

I find this condition troubling and unethical. The contract was signed digitally via an iPad, and I was told what was ordered without a clear opportunity to review or understand the limitations. I believe the company misrepresented their product and pressured me into a contract without full transparency. If Window Nation cannot provide a window that matches my existing windows, they need to refund me so I can purchase from another company. I am willing to return the window they provided. Consumers deserve honesty, transparency, and accountability. I hope this review helps others make informed decisions.

We recently received an estimate from Window Nation to replace the windows in our home - the salesperson was pushier than a salesperson in a used car lot. The salesperson literally used all of the standard high-pressure sales tactics - the more they pushed, the more of a red flag it created. Their sales pitch was over 90 minutes long before they even provided the quote to replace our windows. Be very cautious before even having them into your home as we discovered, via our security camera footage, that the salesperson brought someone with them who loitered around the exterior of our home when the salesperson was inside our home discussing a bid for new windows. Very shady experience altogether.

Had to go through 3 hours of the most torturous presentation although there was some useful information. The 50% off deal is misleading! In reality it is 25%. They start from "retail" price $32000 for 11 windows and then using all kinds of programs, discounts, manager calls etcetera bring it down to normal price of #11000. By that time I was so exhausted I did not want anything, did not want special discount that was given me as a "special" treat. They are misleading and trying to take advantage of you on a higher cost. By the end of the interview I was not happy by the good deal, I felt the desire to resist, to reject, to get rid of him regardless of the deal. Never Window nation again, ever!

The Hartford, CT division of Window Nations was a horrible experience from the get-go. The design consultant had no literature to show window styles. He had 1 sample window that he showed at the end of the visit. He tried to sell me glider windows just to make a sale & get his commission & commission for his office. The 2 management employees I spoke to by phone are arrogant, not professional, & make assumptions -- i.e. I asked what his telephone number was, he replied "You have caller id. I do not." He did not want to give me his phone number, bottom line.

His apology for the nightmare I was put through was not sincere at all, with anger & arrogant overtones. I cancelled my window order. The whole company, from making an appointment, to customer service who say someone will get back to you in 24 to 48 hours, have to do this because the district locations where the employees make pre-visits call the shots. Then you get offshore customer service or digital customer service. Stay away from this company because they do care about the consumer, and I was not treated with respect, just the opposite. I was told, "Do you know how long I have been talking to you." One manager hung up on me.

Are you getting the picture of the nightmare I went through to cancel my order & hopefully to get my deposit back. Also, if you pay by credit card, you get charged a fee that the sales consultant does not tell you about. It is up to the customer to deny such a fee at the time of the transaction. I was never told about the fee. I found out when I called the credit card company. There are many other reputable window companies. Look online there is a long list of every complaint about Window Nation. Do not get fooled by consumer ratings. Look at complaints customers have written. I got no satisfaction from the escalation division of Window Nation. I got the same local nasty management employees who talked down to me as I explained above.
