    This company is scamming people. The contract is pointless. My things weren’t delivered on time, they came TRASHED. When I asked the movers to be careful I was subjected to hours of yelling, which I was fortunate enough to have caught on a recording here in a one party state in MY HOME. Then, the insurance is also a LIE. Nearly $3k worth of damage; supplied photos, prices, the works. They offered me FIFTY FOUR DOLLARS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will broker you out to random people, break every contracted promise, harass you, ignore you, destroy your things.

    Moving APT is very sorry to hear that this customer was not happy with their services. Please note that Moving APT was the customer's booking agent. Unfortunately, this review is not reflective of our services and seems to be referencing another company. The customer's moving contract was not with Moving APT, neither was Moving APT ever in possession of the customer's goods, neither has anyone from Moving APT ever offered the customer a compensation of $54 nor would we have offered this amount. Again, the customer seems to be referncing a different company on our page unfortunately. Moving APT has already directly contacted and advised the customer that we are both happy and willing to assist the customer with their claim ourselves through our own account, rather than the customer having to go through their moving company; and we have likewise offered to pay for the customer's claim.     Moving APT has good ratings, and their price was right in the ballpark. It was lower compared to everybody else, so they were well priced. Their reviews were close to the 4.8 or 4.9 out of 5 stars. I called five different places, and they were the second cheapest, so they were really good priced, and compared to the others, I felt comfortable with them.

    My moving coordinator did well. There was a couple of questions towards the end that we had to get answered, but overall, I'm very pleased. Everything went well. They were supposed to notify me in a few days before they were gonna show up to pick the stuff up, and that was delayed a little bit, but we got it worked out. Overall, I was pleased with Moving APT. They notified me ahead of time. There was a little issue on the last payment. I thought I was told that I could use a credit card. I ended up having to pay via cash for that, and I didn't realize that, but it might have been a misunderstanding on my part.

    I had a good experience with Moving APT. I was in a bind because the other company I was gonna use was supposed to come but didn't. Moving APT's rep was helpful, got me off the bind, and gave me a company who was excellent. It was an out-of-town move and I lived in another state so I flew up there. They came in that day and had to do everything. It was a long day but that was because they didn't do inventory. They didn't know what they were moving and stuff. But we had already had everything pretty much packed and they just had to do some last minute wrapping for big furniture. Also, they did assist with time. Moving APT cares and they're reliable and efficient.

    Would I use Moving APT again? Yes, and maybe no. I wanted somebody that would guarantee me to get the thing to be picked up on time and taken on time. Moving APT was accurate. It was good except for one thing I was a little displeased with, but I let it slide. I didn't get all my stuff. I just realized it a month afterward. It was nothing expensive so I didn't wanna make a big deal out of it.

    I called and the man from Moving APT I spoke with was really professional and wasn't pushy. He sounded very honest and trustworthy. I don't know if that's a very good way to pick people, but I liked him when I talked to him and he gave me all the information. He sent me everything in writing right away and he assured me that the price was locked in. He walked me through every room of my house on the first call and he gave me the impression that he and the company knew what they were doing. It was months before I moved and they could just never call me again or disappear. They had promised me that they would call a couple of weeks before the move, go over everything, and add things that needed to be added if I found new things and sure enough, they did their word.

    A different person called me a week or two before my move and went over everything and said I could pay a certain amount to buy extra space so I'd be sure of not running into a problem on moving day and that option made all the difference to me. On moving day, sure enough, I was over the box count and the guy who was getting ready to move me had to call the company. He called his company and the company said, "She bought the extra space. She's all set." It was such a relief to me because I wasn't gonna find myself with tons of boxes I couldn't even put in a truck. Also, at one point during the move, at the very beginning, the guy from the moving company couldn't find one of his pieces of paper. I called my guy at APT and he immediately responded and we got it all straightened out. I have nothing but good things to say about Moving APT.

    I had the same guys both at the beginning and they delivered it down here to North Carolina, and they delivered it within four days of picking it up. The whole experience was really good. They were such nice guys. APT found great movers and they were totally trustworthy. The guys were wonderful and they did a really great job.

    Everybody at Moving APT was very nice. I like the way the rep presented herself. She was very helpful and understanding. The drivers were also fantastic, both at picking up and dropping off. I was very pleased with everything they did. They were very professional. I had one kitty cat that I had to catch. The one moving guy helped me and we got her in her cage. I was very comfortable with all of them. The lady I had talked to also kept me updated all the time. The price was a little high, but that was my choice. Instead of a smaller truck, I wanted one full big truck to make sure we could get everything. I definitely would recommend them.

    The people who moved me ended up coming back two more times because they ran out of time and hadn't gotten everything done that they thought they'd done, and it was late. They got out of there without doing a couple of things but realizing they had missed a couple of things, they came back and did it. They stayed and helped me box up a whole lot of stuff that I was overly ambitious and thought I could do and couldn't. So, they were very helpful and nice people. I would recommend them. They came through for me and did a great job. I was tremendously impressed with them, and I would use Moving APT again. Things were handled well and the whole company was very good.

    Horrible service, horrible staff, all they do is lie. They left My elderly mom high and dry on her moving day. The Q&A dept refused to listen to us and update list of items moving, when the movers showed up they were only prepared for about 1/2 of the items. Surprise $3000 uncharge. We were cancelled and then asked to accept a 50% cancellation fee even though we did everything correctly and they refused to give us updated pricing. We tried for 3 weeks to get them to update the inventory last and were told not to worry about it but multiple different people. Moving day came and my elderly parents were treated horribly.

Unfortunately, as this review was written by an individual not associated with the move and not by the actual customer, there seems to be information that this individual is either unware of or mistaken regarding. Upon review, we do see that the customer's QA appointment did occur on 7/9/24, and their moving list was updated and reacknowledged and signed on that day. The statement that QA refused to do anything is unfortunately false, as this was done on 7/9/24 and signed by the customer, confirming that it was done on that day. Upon the arrival of the customer's carrier on the day of their pickup, the customer did have even further additional items to be picked up and transported. Furthermore, none of the items that the customer was moving were packed or ready to go. The customer admitted that they were not ready and requested to cancel their reservation at that time. The customer's carrier did not leave anyone high or dry, it was the customer themselves who requested this. Their request and their refund were both processed immediately.

    The gentleman I spoke to at Moving APR had it together. However, the process is a little disjointed. Once it's picked up, it goes to another person so they have to send that out and it took forever to get it coordinated. One wasn't talking to the other and there was back and forth. I didn't know I was gonna be talking to four different people. I got handed around a lot. I wish it could be streamlined a little better.

    It took 18 days to hear from anybody about where my stuff was. On that 18th day, it was so crazy. I called my coordinator and said, "It's every Monday you say you'll know something, and now it's another Monday but I don't have my furniture and don't know who has it." Within two hours I got a phone call from the driver. It was the driver which was not coordinated with the person I talked to originally. He said, "We're in Indiana. We can deliver a day early. Would you be ready to have your furniture tomorrow?" I said, "I wish I could have known this as you were driving across the country." That was unnerving for quite a while. But the guys on the delivery end were the nicest three guys that I've ever encountered in moving.

    My experience with Moving APT went well. The moving coordinator was good. We talked initially for about 40 minutes. We talked about his family and my family. They had a DocuSign thing that I had a little problem with, but the guy was on the phone, so he assisted me with that. Moving APT did exactly what they said they were gonna do for the price they said they would do it. They showed up on time. They were professional. I had packed a lot of my stuff. We talked about what we were gonna move. And the stuff I hadn't packed, they wrapped up and packed it, put it in the truck and delivered it. For the most part, everything was intact. A couple of plates were broken, but that was it.

    When we signed up with Moving APT, it was a last-minute thing but they were very good. I could get them to call me back and they answered the phone when I called. However, I didn't know the movers were gonna have to box everything up. Everything was already boxed up but they wouldn't take the boxes that we already had things boxed up in so they put little boxes inside of bigger boxes. The stuff is still in storage and it is piled so high and so deep that I can't even get to it.

    Brian was a good resource when we left Sacramento. On the other end, it was somebody else and only one of the crew was the same crew that had been there when we left Sacramento. The delivery was a little bit later than it was expected. IT happened when they were able to be in the area to pick somebody up to go for another move. The other thing is they didn't realize that they took all of the belongings to Las Vegas, unloaded them, put them in a storage locker for three weeks then loaded it back up and delivered IT. They could've just have loaded up the truck, drove it 10 hours, and delivered it.

    I highly suggest you do not use this moving broker. They hire deplorable companies to move your products. They lie about their services and when you need assistance on a major issue, I had a manager literally say to me "take what we tell with a grain of salt". They take no responsibility on your move and leave the liability between you and the moving company they hire. They also attempt to take additional money just like a car dealer's finance department in upselling services you don't need and when the company they hired comes to move your furniture they claim not to be aware of them. The claims process is a joke so be prepared to get no restitution for the damages incurred from the mover APT hires. I can literally fill up a full page of the issues we had with APT but my best advice is to never use them.

Our apologies, as we are unaware of who the customer is referring to or if they are referring to their own moving company, but whomever made this statement to the customer was not an employee of Moving APT. We also unfortunately do not understand the customer's statement of taking no responsibility. As per the customer's contract with their moving company, their moving company is responsible and liable for all claims. Nonetheless, Moving APT has reached out to the customer and has offered to pay for the customer's claim ourselves, as a courtesy to the customer and show of good faith from our part. Unfortunately, the customer has become unresponsive. We are still here to assist the customer however we can, and our offer to take care of the customer's claim ourselves remains open for the customer, should they wish to accept.

    I made a few mistakes when I was getting things set up online with Moving APT. I had trouble accepting my password and different things. But they helped me at the office to get through everything. Today, I was asking a question and we're getting that all figured out, so now everything is good and we're going to be on track.

    When we were preparing for the move, there were orientation videos and they gave us all kinds of information to read and study. And the apps, you get in there and you find a lot of information as well. So most of it was through the apps and it was great. During the move, everything was boxed up and it took a while to drive here, but otherwise, the setting up took an hour. Everything was all organized ahead of time, so it went smoothly. Everything that they told me on the phone and when we had the face-to-face orientation happened perfectly. Their rep also called me tp update me.

    The guy from Moving APT that helped me was good at breaking everything down. He asked me everything that I had like furniture, boxes, appliances. He asked what was in each room, my estimate on boxes, the size of the boxes, and that was it. The movers showed up earlier than anticipated, but it was fine. They did an awesome job with packing what I needed to be packed. They were careful with everything.

    There was one that interacted with me. He was the one that asked me about certain things that weren't discussed as far as a glass that needed to be wrapped by them. So, he went ahead and let me know, and it was an additional price that I needed to pay. I went ahead and agreed because I wouldn't be able to wrap it myself, and as far as for it to be insured. Because I asked if it would be insured if it was something that I wrapped on my own. He said no. So, if it were to get to where it needed to get to, damaged, it wasn't covered. But everything was fine. They wrapped it, and it showed up in one piece. When I got to my destination, one of the boxes was destroyed and a few of my glassware was broken. It looked like it got kicked around a bunch of times. And everything else, some boxes were a bit damaged but nothing major, and everything inside survived. Just that one box.

    Everything was accurate, minus that part where the glass that needed to be wrapped. I had already asked around other companies and got inputs, so I thought the quote that he gave me was fair compared to the other ones. That's why I went ahead and agreed. Everything was what Steve told me. Because I told him, “Break it down for me. I need it in writing.” And he sent it to me quickly. He emailed me and gave me the quotes, and everything was correct. I would recommend Moving APT.

    My whole experience with Moving APT is way below average. The original phone call was normal and a rough estimate was appraised on the phone. They submitted that they would follow up in a couple of weeks, closer to the moving date but they did no such thing. The whole thing almost completely went off the rails. Plus the holiday season. I ended up having to stay and I drove up to drive back down. The move was horrendous in that respect. At the end of the day, I got saved by a second team of movers.

    The experience, overall was successful. But in terms of would I repeat with them? No. I understood the concept of agent, reselling of the move, and the whole idea. I paid whatever it was, $900, to have a person do two things. One, put it into a computer system, what exactly I wanted, needed, and when, and then coordinate with a team. And that fee is their pure referral fee. I ended up paying the same amount of money that I should have paid for moving. But it would have been a lot more direct had it been with Van Lines or the big guys. There are two or three of them. I just didn't know that my move was going to be so large.

    It was a full house move, but it was a small two-bedroom townhouse. I didn't expect it to hit 8,000, in total. I budgeted 4,000. The way that they handled the situation was below par/unprofessional, given the fact that I ended up having to run after them, make several phone calls, and threaten to move to a different company and I wanted to pull out completely. I wanted my money back. The only savior was somebody who heard and read about the red flag ‘cause I sent it down a couple of channels, and they responded relatively quickly. She calmed me down.

    She pushed the button of empathy. She said, “You're already with us, stay with us. We'll treat you better than the big guys. Plus, we'll save you some money,” which was not true. But, the concept of that line between marketing and the sale of reality wasn't spelled out. I wouldn't even call it blurry. If I had understood and known what exactly was going to happen in terms of the agent, the resell, the team, and the whole idea and concept, I would have backed out on that first conversation because it wasn't part of the plan to go down that way. If I understood at that point that it was a budgetary question, at the end of the day, that I didn't budget enough. Anything that I was thinking would be for less as in my budget ended up being a whole marketing scam, per see. Moving APT sucks.

    I gave Moving APT the products and items that I needed moved from Miami to Texas and they gave me a price. The service was fine, but I'd tell people to be sure of the items that they're moving because for an extra box, they wanna charge people everything. For walking more to the door (not even staircases), they're gonna charge people. It only takes 30 seconds to walk to my apartment door, but they said it was more than 75 feet and it was not. The guy wanted to charge me 75 bucks two times because he had to walk more. I've never heard of that in my life. It was ridiculous, and I couldn't believe it.

    Moving APT had a better presence when you call them. They have more confidence and a more equitable price. They are at the top of their game in customer service. I have never dealt with customer service personnel in recent times as good as them. They were extremely knowledgeable and wanted to have as much information as possible to make as accurate a quote as they could.

    I did a transcontinental move. The crew was a bunch of good guys, but they were a little bit unprepared for the volume of stuff that needed to be packed and loaded on the truck. They looked overwhelmed and appeared shorthanded. But they got their act together and got it all done in the right amount of time. The stuff was mostly packed well. But they could have been just a tad more careful. There was art damaged and they’ve been impossible to get reimbursement for. They were one of a kind. That aside, I'd recommend Moving APT and I'd use them again.

    The movers were good. They were a little late when they unpacked my stuff because traffic was tough. They were here prior to noon and left around 4:35. A handful of fragile wine glasses got broken but I recognize that that's a cost of doing a move in many cases. The things that I would have expected to be fit to fare the worst did. However, it seemed as we went on, there were additional costs here and there. Moving APT didn't give me no understanding of what the upfront cost was gonna be.     We didn't feel happy with Moving APT. We called them and we gave all the photos of what stuff we have and gave the list. And they said that 3,000 dollars to move. After that, there was a lady who called from Chicago. Moving APT gave to someone from Chicago. Those are the people that came and picked up our things. While picking up, they were very good. They didn't say anything.

    Before delivery, they started all the drama. We moved to Austin. When we were booking Moving APT, we said that we don't have any address. They need to deliver in Austin because we need to move to Austin first and find a place, then we will give an address. They agreed to everything. After we reached Austin, we stayed in a hotel. They called and said, "Did you find the address or not?" We said that we were finding. "You need to give five or six days." They said, "No. Your things reached Austin. We need to deliver it. If you want to keep it in a storage, you need to pay $300."

    I said, "No. As part of that agreement, 30 days of free storage is available in my contact." They said, "No, it is wrong. Someone gave you a wrong detail." "No, boss. You go and read it." After one day, the same lady called. "Okay, now, it is yes." "You are saying it last minute." I didn't say it at the last minute. Because we were moving from Iowa to Austin, we didn't have a house. I said, "How come you would have said that we will receive the things as soon as you reach Austin?" After a lot of fighting, she agreed. The next day, she called and said, "Did you find an address or not?" "No, you have to give 30 days."

    She said that, "If you give an address right now, we will agree for the $3,000. Otherwise, you need to pay another $300 extra." "Why?" She said that, "No, we are keeping it in storage." "Madam, these things, we already talked about yesterday and you agreed that you are going to give 30 days of storage as per my contact." Then she disconnected the call.

    After two days, we called her and said, "We have an address. We found it. Can you give it?" She started coming up with a new thing. "You said Austin. Now, you are giving an address 14 miles away from where you stayed." The hotel address and where we found the address 14 miles is away. "You need to pay $300." "How can we know that how many miles will be there? There will be a difference from the stay hotel and the address. How come we know that before we start from Iowa? We said that it's Austin. We don't know where we will be staying in Austin."

    She said, "If you are talking like this, we won't deliver it." "How come you can say that you can't deliver it?" We were tired at that time. We asked, "How much more do you want?" "We want $300 extra." "Okay, charge it, take it." She said, "We can deliver it." And it was two days before she said that the things reached the house. Now, she said, "We can't deliver it tomorrow or day after. We will deliver it after 15 days." We agreed for that also. She delivered after 15 days.

    While delivering, she charged many things. Finally, we paid close to $650 extra from whatever we agreed. And she asked us to give a good review in Google. And she's said that she would give some Amazon card if I give a good review on Google. I didn't care. So, because we were settling here, we were so pissed off with her. But I thought that after one or two months, I needed to give a review in Google that we were very unhappy with that lady who called from Chicago.

    The next time when we were in trouble, when we called the same person from Moving APT, they said that, "There is no connection between us and that lady who is calling from Chicago. We won't care because we handed over your move to that lady. So now, we won't care about whatever they are saying." And that's why I won't recommend Moving APT to anyone. Because already, my groups, they know how the Moving APT handled my things. So, I need to give a very bad Google review to Moving APT because after they got the first payment, $1,600-something, they didn't care. And we suffered a lot. Before we moved, we called Moving APT and said that we wanted this move to happen on the day. They agreed. They said, "It's nothing. You can't call us because this is handed over to some Chicago movers. So, you need to deal with them." I wouldn't recommend Moving APT to anyone.

    The initial quote that Moving APT gave me, which was the reason why I went to them, ended up being a lot more than they estimated. There were two separate calls for setting up this move. One call was for the initial estimate, then the second call was when we went into more detail, which already raised the cost by a grand. Then, when the movers came, they tried to raise another 2,000 to 3,000. So, all in all, they tried to charge me over $7,000 for a move from Miami to New Jersey. The initial quote was for 3,500, so they doubled it by that time and didn't try to work with me. Then, they didn't even do the things that I paid for upfront already. I ordered bed covers for the mattresses, but they only put one bed cover for one mattress. And I had a total of three.

    The customer service reps weren't really helpful at all when I tried to make the argument. They were pretty much telling me it is what it is and, whether I move this stuff or I don't, the price would be what it came down to. So, on the day of the move, my hands were tied behind my back and I didn't appreciate that at all. Also, I'm still missing stuff like my weights and a TV stand. And it's been over a month. I tried contacting the moving company and they keep telling me, “This week or in a couple days.” But it hasn't been the case. Apparently, they were moving my stuff from one truck to a different truck. And the movers didn't move all the stuff from one truck to the next. Overall, the price was great initially, but what I ended up having to pay for it was terrible. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't go with Moving APT.

    The response back from Moving APT was quick so I went with them. This was years ago and I used them again for my last move. It was the same reason I moved this time as well. Everything was good. They gave me a three-day window. Within that time, the driver could not come and pick up all my household things. He said he could only come to the pick-up on Saturday. I was a little worried for a day. I had to call the Moving APT coordinator and they resolved it. The driver came in within the three-day window.

    I was moving and had something set up with another company, but they changed the price from $2,700 to 9,000 the day before I moved. I did some frantic googling and found Moving APT, and it worked out better. The rep and the moving coordinator were very good. There was a small hiccup where when I booked with Moving APT, they said that our stuff will be delivered within one to two days. I kept asking for updates and confirmation before they put our stuff on the truck, and then after it was on the truck that day and then the next day, and it took them a couple of days.

    Then they said it would be a week before we got our stuff. We were sleeping on the floor of our house with our animals. We couldn't go to a hotel because we had pets. We would have planned a little differently and packed differently if we knew. Other than that, the movers were great. As far as the final cost, I asked if they could deliver any sooner than a week, and we've paid a lot for them to deliver it a little bit sooner. That was fine.

    It was a freaking disaster with Moving APT. Everybody was fantastic when they picked up my stuff but it went rapidly downhill from June 3rd. According to them, the delivery would be 10 to 17 days. But I never heard from them. After 30 days, I called, but there was no reply. I texted Terry a couple times, and he informed me that the truck broke down. Somebody should have reached out to me and told me that. Another 20 days went by, and they told when they'd be here. I told them that I had told them I needed 48-hour notice to reserve the elevator. There was some other excuse. It was madness. When I was having issues, Terry got back to me one time, but there were a couple of times when I didn't hear from him for three weeks. There was zero follow up on their behalf.

    My delivery was supposed to come last week, but the driver got pulled over at a weigh station. Finally, the next day, Adam showed up. But half my boxes were empty. Each box didn't weigh more than 20 pounds because I didn't want the guys to be busting their ** carrying my stuff, and I didn't want my stuff falling through the boxes. I put four strips of tape across the top and four strips of tape across the bottom and kept them light, but it was still a disaster. My wardrobe boxes were completely crushed. There were holes in about six boxes, and they lost a $1,500 remote control golf caddy. They said that'll have to go through insurance and I would get paid 60 cents a pound. I'm gonna get $18 for a $1,500 golf caddy.

    We learned after we were already in the process of things that Moving APT just manages the move. They contract an actual mover in the area to do that. But we liked the cost, and we had a good experience with the person that we dealt with. It was several people that we dealt with, but they were all very professional. And we ended up dealing with the actual person they hired for the move as well. They were nice folks, and did a great job as far as packing up. We had an issue with delivery. We moved the move date up for them to accommodate, because they had had a death in the family. But they ended up getting to my son's apartment until 10:15 at night. His neighbor was not happy that a moving company showed up at that late in the evening. But they were tired and exhausted. They did fine as far as getting things moved in.

    Moving APT was there when they were supposed to be there. I was leaving one area and driving up to the next by myself, and I didn't want to be there and sitting around waiting. They were conscientious and seemed to know what they were doing. It took them a day to pack things up from my storage cabinet but I held them up on it because I had some things going on at the other end. I had a substantial amount of boxes and things to be loaded that I had already packed. But there were also some big pieces of furniture that were wrapped up in the blankets and taped so they would stay closed. They wrapped everything nicely.

    I had two storage units going and there was a space of about 20 feet between the two of them that they were moving from. My hope was to consolidate everything.     I have been sleeping on the floor in my new apartment for one month now thanks to Moving APT. It’s only a 600 mile move for one bedroom. They have charged $2000+. One entire month after pickup, there has been absolutely no communication from movers. They refuse to provide any update. They will not allow scheduling a delivery date. They only promise a phone call "closer to delivery date” which does not happen for an entire month. Now I have to work with insurance and file a claim for loss. I don’t know what to do now and wonder if getting a lawyer will be helpful at all. The entire experience is extremely frustrating. I recommend avoiding this company AT ALL COST.

    The first guy I talked to at Moving APT was named Ian and he was pretty helpful in explaining everything and in navigating the setup process. Later on, there was some confusion about how the payment was to be made and what exactly the charges would be. They could have done a better job with making clear the payment options and how the additional charges would be added based on stairs. But the moving crew from Eastland Movers were very good. They picked everything up promptly and packed everything really well. Moving APT initially said the delivery would be within a couple of days and that it could be up to seven business days. But Eastland delivered at the same day, even though it was a long-distance move. So I was very happy with those guys.

    At delivery, everything made it intact, except for one dresser with a mirror. There was a piece of it that was used to help it screw in which was made of some kind of paper material. So they had a hard time taking it apart without breaking that. But it was a weird feature of the furniture itself and that was not their fault. Eastland was also very good with communicating everything and letting me know what was going on. They had an instance where they had to wait a little bit longer because my new place wasn't unlocked and I hadn't gotten there yet. But they were completely fine with that and they kept going as planned.

    Working with these "brokers" has been one of the worst experiences EVER. I contacted Moving APT six weeks prior to a move. The initial contact was with nice guy Diego in the sales department. The inventory was uploaded and I told him there was a lot of framed artwork. Diego said not to worry, they'd have extra boxes and they could even double up if necessary because everything would be carefully wrapped. From DAY ONE I made it very clear this was a very important move with full pack, load, unpack and unload and it needed to be completed in one day. Diego assured me he would put his very best guys on the move and white glove VIP service. Great. The contract was signed and the $1900 deposit was paid on a $7100 move (Keep that in mind, $7,100). I asked who were the movers but since it was 6 weeks away, he hadn't assigned it yet to his "best movers".

    Fast forward six weeks to the Thursday before the Tuesday move: A gruff guy named Joe from Quality Assurance calls. He goes over the move and now he wants to increase the price. His rationale was that moves are always underestimated so they "build in" a padding of 15%. You have to agree to the padding just in case you need it and the extra fee for it, but if you don't agree and you go over, then there will be no room, and they'll leave your stuff behind which defeats a move, but if you do pay and you don't use it, then they will be no charge.

    So you agree to the 15% but NOW you have to pay more to update the deposit EVEN though you don't know if you'll used the buffer space or not. Sounds crazy because the space is on the truck regardless if it is used, so wouldn't I just pay on the final payment IF the space is used? Increasing the deposit assumes you are going to use the space. I told Joe when I spoke to Diego in Sales, we thoroughly covered the inventory, so I didn't think the space was needed. Well Quality Assurance Joe just morphed into Thug Joe as he became aggressive about the space and the extra money and how he's been doing this for 20 years and any discussions with sales were irrelevant at this point. I asked to speak to someone else because I was no longer receiving Quality nor Assurance. QA Joe only made matters worse, and I asked if I could please speak to someone else because Joe should definitely not be in contact with humans, let alone customers.

    The next day, I get a call from Tonya, QA Joe's kinder, gentler co-worker. Tonya assured me everything would be fine; they have new movers on the job - The move is the NEXT DAY and she would take care of everything. She said she never does this, but she also gave me her cell phone number... Fast forward - she doesn't answer her cell. Here is where it turns from bad to WORSE. This move is a 9.4-mile move from an apartment in Miami Beach to a house in Miami Beach. Moving APT /Tonya told us 6 guys were coming. Moving APT hired Top Quality Movers in NORTH CAROLINA WHO WERE DRIVING DOWN TO MIAMI BEACH FOR THE MOVE. Re-read that...

    The 4 movers got caught in traffic and arrived at 3:15pm to pack, load, unload and unpack. This one-day move took THREE DAYS: Tuesday to Thursday evening. The unsupervised movers, though nice and friendly were SLOW, late and really had no clock on the move. Final bill from Moving APT/Top Quality Movers: roughly $9500 from the original contract of $7100, plus the extra days that had to be paid to the apartment beyond the lease days. Tonya was horrible. Joe was disgusting. Diego irresponsible. This is your final warning: STAY AWAY. ALSO: We are now discovering BROKEN ITEMS the mover never mentioned. Filing a claim will be even more frustration.

    Warning: Moving Apt will likely comment with a rebuttal and take NO responsibility, but TRUST ME: They are 100% responsible for everything that happened and is a horrible company obviously incapable of transacting ethical, honest business. My advice: contact a moving company DIRECTLY to find a mover. Ask if they are a broker and if they are HANG UP. They will sell your move to the highest bidder, renege on everything and blame it on the sales department and actual movers. When you're moving, you don't have time for the finger pointing, fear tactics and irresponsible charades of these thugs and amateurs with a nice website.

    Moving APT truly apologizes that the customer was not satisfied with their move. Please note that Moving APT was the customer's booking agent and works with a network of interstate carriers who service the continental U.S. It is completely normal for a carrier out of one state to be servicing a move from another state, as carriers are usually away from their home base for weeks at a time while servicing moves. Secondly, the customer was advised from their initial booking that their move may take up to 7 business days, which the customer acknowledged and signed that they understood from the start. Nonetheless, Moving APT would never "take no responsiblity" as the customer is claiming, as customer service is critically important to us, and we do our best to ensure that every customer knows they are valued and appreciated, as well as personally assisted by us from beginning to end. Contrary to the customer's statement, Moving APT has been tyring to reach the customer for weeks, both by phone and by email, in order to assist them with their claim ourselves. Normally claims must be filed through their carrier, however we immediately reached out to the customer to advise them that we had approved for them to file their claim through our own account as a courtesy and wanted to assist them with their claim ourselves, in order for us to ensure their compensation. Moving APT has done everything to show the customer that we would like nothing more than to take responsibility and help them; unfortunately, the customer never notified us of any issue until we read about it through this review, and the customer to date has not responded to us or replied to any email. Our offer to assist the customer remains open for them, whenever they would like to accept.

    I was able to text with the representative who helped me, which was the sole factor that made me decide on Moving APT. They were very responsive and would answer all my questions. I initially gave the rep my rough inventory. Then my count went up drastically to at least 10 boxes.     I had a storage unit down in Florida and I come back to New Hampshire. I was wondering how to get it from there to here. I was doing some searches and Moving APT called me and asked if I was interested. They gave me the details and the price. It sounded good so I did it. I had one little glitch when I had to make sure they were doing one of two days because I was only gonna be there for three. I got off the plane, turned on my phone, and they went, "See you Thursday." I go, "Uh-uh. I'm leaving Thursday." In the end, it got worked out.

    On moving day, three guys came to do the pickup. They were fast and they knew what they were doing. There were some things that I never got into another box and their guy said, "I'm putting all the loose stuff in here." That was fine. I had a friend's photo in that, which was cracked already, and they wanted to make sure, "Did we do this?" I go, "No, no, it was like that. Don't worry." I had college hunks moving junk from my condo there and they broke a few things.

    The move took a few weeks. During the delivery, they came a day earlier than expected and that was fine. I was talking to them and they were telling me that they were in Buffalo and then they will be up in Burlington. I don't know how they keep it all tracked down. The things were in different sections and there were different openings on the things so they get right into what they needed to. They called me to make sure that they could get their big truck in where my place is and to make it as smooth as possible. They stacked the things in the storage unit up here beautifully. It was cold and we were freezing. I gave them 100 and told them to warm up and have dinner. I just felt I needed to.

    I was moving from Baltimore to Arizona, from an apartment to a house. I was on the sixth floor of an apartment and I had a pretty specific timeframe I wanted to be in. Forbes gave Moving APT a good recommendation. I used them and they were very professional. They took an inventory over the phone. Fortunately, I had started packing very early and I wasn't moving a lot of furniture. I was moving totes, so I was able to be accurate in my count and this probably helped me have a good experience. But I do think that could be an issue for a lot of people that they underestimate the count. On the day of, they may be in for a surprise. Also, I would have preferred that they picked up the inventory a little bit earlier. They quoted me over the phone and were promising me a four-day window. It ended up being a seven or eight- day window. But it worked out okay.

    It wasn't a very large move, just one bedroom. On the moving day, there were three guys there and they were professional. I watched them load stuff and felt comfortable that they were handling the fragile stuff properly. They had to go through elevators and stairs and they seemed to handle that fine. The person that delivered my stuff was a one-man show and he was extremely professional and had a strong sense of urgency. They did better on the receiving end than the pickup end, but both were fine. The end price was extremely accurate. Moving APT was almost half the cost of PODS, which is unbelievable. PODS wanted to charge me 5,600 and I had to load the stuff myself. My price with Moving APT was 2,800.

    The movers were professional and quick, delivered everything from Los Angeles to San Diego the same day even though they had to work into the night. There were a few challenges packing but they were able to resolve them.     Moving is very stressful and if you value your sanity, don’t use MovingAPT. They will be so accommodating until you give them money. After that, you are at their mercy. I moved from NYC to Louisiana. A week after my property was picked up, they tried adding more money to do the estimate, about one third of the estimate more. After a confrontation, they agreed to honor the contract. They made numerous promises of when I would receive my property and the third time I actually did receive my delivery. They won’t answer your calls or emails and will leave you stranded and dependent on them. Complaining will only make them defend themselves and you will be the bad person in the situation. They delivered past the 21 days promised in the contract. The driver showed up with no help and I had to help unload the truck with the driver. No furniture was put into my house as promised. Beware this company.

    In order to compensate me for a broken monitor, they wanted me to sign a document which would require me to remove all negative posts about MovingAPT and myself, my family and friends could not say anything negative about them and show proof that I removed all negative comments. They offered $16.80 initially for the broken monitor and an additional $58.20 for my miserable experience. I declined all and still have not been compensated for the broken monitor. Complaints should be filed with DOT. There is a specific form for moving companies. Complaints should be also filed with the Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody. There are complaint forms there too. These agencies will investigate if there are enough complaints.

    Moving APT is truly sorry to hear that the customer was not happy with their moving experience. Moving APT was the customer's booking agent. The customer's move and moving contract were with a different company. Unfortunately, this review seems to be referring to their services, as we do not have drivers or trucks, nor were we ever in possession of the customer's goods. Nonetheless, we are always here to assist and mediate between customers and their carrier whenever necessary. Per the customer's moving contract with their carrier, their carrier is responsible and liable for any damage. However, upon being advised that the customer had not yet been compensated for their damaged item, Moving APT immediately contacted the customer and has actually offered the customer a courtesy compensation of $235 from us for this, since the coverage that the customer selected for their move only covers them for $16.80. Sadly we do not understand the reason for this review, as we feel that we have gone above and beyond in order to assist the customer with this. Our offer will remain open for the customer, should they change their mind and wish to accept.

    My interactions with the rep from Moving APT were very professional. I requested a quote and I was called back promptly within a reasonable amount of time. They were thorough with their questions on what was being moved. It was what they said it was and there weren’t any real surprises when they showed up. The only thing was they had a mover that was making a run and had them on a couple of different pickups along the way. Some of the people weren't ready when they showed up. It was the customer's fault and it set us back a day. It was inconvenient.

    We were expecting the movers on a Sunday at 9 o'clock in the morning and they knew at 8 o'clock the night before they weren't gonna make that deadline. They could have called us ahead of time in order for us to be prepared for them to not show up because both my aunt and uncle are disabled. So there are a lot of things in place. They could have communicated earlier when they knew, not two hours after they were already supposed to be there that they weren't gonna be there for another day. That part suck. But it's factors of the unknown. It wasn't anything to do with the moving company. They were trying to accommodate the customers that were negligent in their own actions.

    Moving APT reps were very helpful. They were very transparent with the rate and wanted to get me the best deal. A big fear of mine was that the company that would be hired to do the actual job wouldn't be reputable. But Moving APT has a really great track record. Everywhere I read, they seem to be really respected. Then, when I talked to them and I finally went through with the quote, they gave me the name of the hiring company. I looked up the company and they also seem great, which was a huge relief.

    The movers came on time and they were very kind. They were really respectful of not walking in and out with their shoes on, which is a hard thing to do when you're moving stuff in and out of the home. They were really careful with all of my stuff and everything arrived in great timing earlier than I thought it might. My dresser was missing at first and I was worried about it because it was either left in California or at the warehouse. The manager based in New York found my dresser in the warehouse there and personally brought it to my house the next day. It was really nice of him. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

    Pete, the gentleman in charge, was very knowledgeable and knew what he was talking about. I had a small amount to move and Moving APT’s rates were good and the delivery time was within what I needed. It was a total of 50 boxes plus 6 wardrobes and most of my things were staying. So, it was a hodgepodge as to what was going and what was not. But the reps were very organized and did it in record time.

    The reps came in and unpacked not the boxes, but the furniture, and put it together if it needed to be. And they put together my hutch. There were three of them and they were very nice, personable young men. They did it in four hours only and I got a couple of extra things that I had planned to leave, but that was not a big deal because they were small items. There were three items broken but they were not essential items and I don't miss them. They were just things that happened. The young man who was unpacking them knew that and he asked if I wanted to file a claim, and I said no.

    I had a little hesitation using a broker for somebody who was just a moving company but when I got the quotes in, Moving APT's price was very competitive. It seemed to make up for any sort of hesitation that I had. Their rep was great. I was really appreciative of his help. On the first call that I had with him, he jumped into inventory which was super helpful for me. That way, I could get quotes as instantaneously as possible. He also provided me some good packing tips while I was describing my inventory. It felt kind of advisory during the process too, which was nice.

    The moving crew was great. The only thing I was a little confused about is they did not apply my down payment with Moving APT to my actual moving charge. The mover was great and I didn't want him to be penalized at all for any of that, so I didn't really follow up about that, but I don't think that my deposit was applied. I did call and leave a message, but I didn't really follow through with it. I had a pretty decent size move. It was a one bedroom apartment and the mover was there for six hours. So, I didn't want to take any money from him. He did a great job. Overall, I had a great experience in terms of booking and communication. There was just that little mixup that Moving APT can't really be responsible for.

    Moving APT is up there. The only issue I had was when the movers went to deliver the stuff, they said, “Well, we can't get a tractor trailer truck in here. We have to switch it to another truck.” I arranged this ahead of time, and there's plenty of room in the location they were bringing it, but they tried to get an extra fee for switching it on trucks. I said no. I wasn't paying $400 on top of what I originally quoted. APT also got involved and said, “No. You're not charging him for that.”

    Working with the moving coordinator was very pleasant. The movers met me at my mom's house and they were neat and orderly. They got everything packed safely and got things to my house without a problem. One picture frame's glass got broken but everything else came through fine. The two very nice men did a good job. If I had to move anything again, I would call them. I'd want the same team. I've moved a lot, and this is the first time I've had a good experience.

The company should have backups in case anyone calls out sick, but Mr. ** did an outstanding job for being the only one. He deserves every recognition and a ** raise for all that hard work.     The guy who set up the move for me was nice but I wasn't happy about my move. I saw Moving APT offers a military discount so I went with them. However, I didn't know they were gonna use a third party for my move. They said somebody was gonna call me 24 hours before my move but nobody called me. The next day, I get a phone call from the movers saying they were 45 minutes from my location. I had to stop everything that I was doing to go to the storage unit and be there. They got there before me and I didn't even know who they were. They were Puma Van Lines and they said they were subcontracted.

    Then, I had to deal with paying two companies. I paid APT and then Puma Van said I gotta pay them before they can move and leave. So, I was at the storage unit doing math making sure I don't get overcharged. It was very frustrating. I spoke to a gentleman after that and he was apologetic. He said that it shouldn't happen and that I should have been notified within a proper amount of time.

    Also, I got an email from an APT person saying she was my point of contact and to contact her if I have any questions. I left her several voicemails, I called her, and I emailed her but she never responded to any of my phone calls. Then, another lady called me from Puma Van Lines who said she was my point of contact. It was chaotic.

    Puma Van Lines forgot a ton of my stuff in Dallas. They missed two TVs, a couch, and a bunch of boxes. I was going back and forth with them. The guy I was dealing with was nice and responsive, which I appreciated. Finally, they found my stuff and it took them three weeks to get me all my stuff. I haven't even gotten a chance to look through the stuff to make sure my TVs are okay. Some stuff was damaged and I get it. It happens. But I'm never using APT again.

    My experience went pretty well. The moving company was good. They were very communicative. There were some small damages done to things for the move itself. It may also have been a little easier had the glass stuff been protected better. It wasn't packaged, it was just covered in sheets. So, it was leaning against the door and that was what did it. It also took a long time to load, but he was waiting for another load to come through because he didn't have a full truck. But they were on time. They got down here a lot faster than I thought they were gonna get down here, so that was even better. As far as the Moving APT company, I was very pleased with them. They were also accurate on the final cost.

    Updated on 11/8/2022: I submitted a review last week because I couldn't get in contact with the moving company, and MovingAPT couldn't get anyone either. Once they got in contact with me and explained the delay, they said my stuff would be here in 4 days (last weds). The person I spoke with on the phone for MovingAPT said they would 'expedite' my delivery. This was definitely not true, as I'm now on day 4 with no phone call from the delivery company and we are fast approaching the 21 business days (yes, I've been without my stuff for over a month). Late September this broker contacted me (I now know to never use a broker again), and quoted a price that was lower than the others. Should have been the first red flag. The moving company came to the house, did inventory, and the quoted price stayed the same. They picked up my stuff on October 6th and I moved to Colorado on October 12th.

    Days go by, and I sat in an empty apartment, waiting to hear from the moving company which doesn't happen. Days turn to weeks and I'm getting the same response from MovingAPT every time I call them for updates. "Oh your stuff is in Colorado, there have just been weather delays. It should be there in a few days." This never happened. More weeks go by, and I finally get in contact with the moving company, which by the way is All Year Moving and Storage, which, according to the FMCSA is out of service. Yes, this is the carrier MovingAPT set me up with.

    Apparently, according to the moving company who I just no longer believe, the truck that was supposed to deliver my stuff broke down and it would take another 4 days to get to my apartment which has been empty for almost a month. Today is the 4th day, and surprise, I've heard nothing from the moving company except a text message saying the person I'm trying to contact is at the doctor with chest pains... okay? Then who do I contact? Friday is the last day before the contract is breached and I start looking for a full refund of the move and possible legal action if my stuff is not here this week.

    I am up at 4 am every sleepless night on an air mattress, wondering where my stuff is. Is it really in Colorado? Is it anywhere? Who the heck knows. There is no tracking, and the moving company is shady. I have reached the end of my patience with this company, and I'm getting tired of being told numbers and no real results. My stuff was picked up on October 6th. It is now November 8th, and I still have NOTHING and I keep getting told not to worry... Well the deadline is in THREE DAYS. I'm worried.

    This has been the worst experience of my life, and I will NEVER hire another moving company again, and certainly will never hire this broker. I strongly STRONGLY recommend that anyone doing their research on this company to read this review, because let my experience be a cautionary tale before even getting on the phone with these people. I feel like this company has been deceiving me over and over again, especially on the 21 business day window. Had I known what that really entailed, I would have flat-out refused and paid more directly to a reputable moving company.

    I know how to find them now in hindsight, if I ever decided to tempt fate again and trust anyone else to do this, which I will not. This experience has traumatized me enough. This was the first time I've ever moved out of state, let alone across the country, and this has been a traumatic way to do it. Do not hire these people. I will be calling the moving company again today, and if someone from MovingAPT dispatch team that was supposed to 'expedite' my delivery wishes to contact me, by all means. Please give me another excuse or another BS date of arrival. I'm pretty much done believing anything I'm told from these companies. I just want my stuff.

    Original review: I saw the good reviews for this moving broker and thought they would set me up with good movers, be in constant contact, and put my mind at ease because I've never hired movers before. Well everything went fine at the start, my stuff was picked up on October 6th, and my move was planned for the 12th. I expected there to be a week or so since it's across country, but now I'm going on two weeks, and apparently my stuff has been in the state for a couple days, maybe more, but the moving company still hasn't called me.

    I've been calling Moving APT to get statuses on my stuff, and I'm growing more concerned as I hear the same things but still haven't received a call from the movers about when they will be dropping my things off. I hear stories of scams or things being held hostage, and I'm worried this is going to happen to me with this company.

    It's hard enough adjusting to a new place 2,000 miles away, but to also have to sit day after day in an empty apartment, not knowing if your things will ever make it to you is a really tough thing to go through. I will update this review once my things arrive, but for now... I just don't know. I do know that this has been stressful enough that I won't be hiring movers again. I'll do it all myself next time.

    When they came to pack up our stuff, there was a bunch of confusion. When we received our boxes, we had items missing like an expensive trashcan, mirror and ironing board. Boxes were damaged and they were broken. Then the day they came to deliver our stuff, I wasn't notified earlier what kind of vehicle they were gonna bring. There was plenty of space to park an 18-wheeler outside the main gate, but they insisted that it wasn't possible. Later, the driver agreed with me. But we had to pay $1,000 extra for them to rent another U-Haul truck to get our stuff into the storage because our delivery location was a storage. It was very inconvenient. And having suffered these losses and damage, it wasn't a good experience overall with Moving APT.

    Moving APT seemed to have the most reasonable prices and policies for a last minute move that I planned. I just had to tell them where they would pick up from and the earliest they could come pick up and how full my storage unit was. They sent over our contracts shortly after and asked if it looked okay. I said yes and signed, and paid the first installment just to secure the spot and that time for them moving for me. It was very easy. Closer to the date, before they picked up, I paid again. So when they did pick up, they were paid for that as well. And it took no more than three weeks. It came quickly. And I paid the last installment when they got to my new apartment and unpacked it.

    When they initially moved it from the storage locker, everything was good. They were a bit pricey in terms of packing my stuff up considering most of it, while not in a box, was in containers, but didn't have to be packed. But I understood that I didn't have another option at that time. So, I let it go. And when they came to my new apartment, everything looked okay. But when I looked inside the boxes, I was a bit upset and disappointed because it seemed like they didn't pack anything. They just threw it in the box and charged me for it. I could have done that. There was no separation between the things they packed or organization between it. It was like, “Your clothes are thrown in with some of your kitchen stuff and some of this stuff, and we just kind of all put it in a box. Then here it is.” Considering how much I was paying, that was not okay.

    But they were there. And I paid them for the job that they did. I only got to look through a few boxes because they just put all the boxes there and left and let me find like that they dropped off the boxes. What I was told when they initially came over is that I had 90 days to file a claim if anything was missing. They knew that they had already lost one of my tabletops and something else. But they put that on the form and I signed it.

    But when I filed my claim, they told me that it was my fault that it's missing. I didn't say anything. And it wasn't noted on the piece of paper that I initially had, even though I was told I had 90 days to look through all my stuff and see what was missing, because I didn't unpack it in front of them. So they just gave me the claim back and they would only cove the missing tabletop and the damaged Ottoman when I filed for a lot of stuff that I had the links to. And all this stuff that it was relatively the same area. A lot of my kitchen stuff and my clothes.

    I was surprised that I wasn't refunded for any of that. Because they never told me like, "If you think a box is missing, then you need to tell us now, otherwise you're not going to get money for it." It had been quite a long time since I've seen everything in the storage unit. So, I wouldn't know right off the bat when they put everything in front of me what was missing.

    The only damage that they accepted was the Ottoman because there was a visible tear in it. But all my furniture that I had was new from the old place because it was my first apartment, so when I got it here, there were a lot of scratches, nicks out of the woods, that they would not give me credit for because it was never in this condition. And most of it wasn't even wrapped up. It was like Saran wraps so none of the doors would open. So in that regard, I'm not happy at all because what's the point of paying that much if when it gets to me, it's not all there and it's not all there in the condition I left it in.

    Everything went smoothly. I paid them. They picked it up. Nothing was late. They were very easy to get in touch with. But after when they dropped stuff off, and I called the driver back. And I said, "Hey, I'm missing like two or three boxes, it looks like." Because I couldn't find half the kitchen stuff I had. And there were appliances and knives that are noticeable when you're looking through boxes that aren't there. And he said, "Okay. I'll check for you. Because I know I lost your tabletop."

    And we put that on the list. So there is a high probability that something else was lost with it, not just the tabletop. Because we were moving a bunch of different places. And I said, "Okay, cool. Just call me back if you see anything or if anything like is leftover that doesn't belong to someone, just double check with me." Never heard back from them. I emailed them a few times saying, "I called the driver. He said, he's gonna let me know what's up. I'm missing like three or four boxes that have like pretty high quality stuff in them. And nobody's telling me anything.” I didn't hear back from them until I filed a claim. And the people who did the claims aren't affiliated with the movers. So, it was a different process. And I still haven't heard back from the original moving company.

    The rep from Moving APT did a virtual walkthrough. Unfortunately, we did have a lot of stuff, so our final price is like $1,000 over. We left a lot of the big furniture behind, but we just had a lot more boxes, and then the weight was more than what was in the quote. So overall, we paid at least $1,500 more than what we were quoted. I remember getting frustrated that the actual price is so much more than the quote, but it was pretty cut and dry in terms of based on the weight of what they thought they were moving. We were just surprised because we had reduced the amount of furniture that we ended up bringing.

    The first guy I spoke to at Moving APT, his name was Nick. And he was good. It wasn’t this exorbitantly complicated thing, which I was nervous about. This is my first out-of-state move. And he was very open. A lot of the reason I went with Moving APT is I liked talking to them more. He was, “Here’s what it is. Here’s what we can offer. We’ve got reviews. You have my number. You can call me anytime. Shop around. Make sure you feel good and get back to me if you don’t find anything better.” I liked that he wasn’t pushy.

    When I asked him questions about what I could expect based off the sizing and the square foot, he gave me a close estimate right off the bat. The price didn’t change very much down the road from the initial estimate was. He’s well-informed. He knew all the dates. He laid out what the process would be like between moving, shipping, and drop off, any fees for stairs. He made sure I was well aware of. The moving day itself, I was already out. I had to leave early. So, I had my father there just to give them access. They called me, let me know how everything wound up with the article list that we informed beforehand.     When I was looking at the reviews, I couldn't find any negative review about that Moving APT was not able to make the time commitments that they had come to. Also, when I looked at the estimates, they were much better in terms of giving what I thought was a thorough estimate and answering my questions. There weren't any charges that I wouldn't be aware of. But that was because they were so thorough in giving an estimate to begin with. So, I felt more confident in the bid that it would be what I was charged in the beginning. At the first round of bids, they were not the cheapest. And I’ve compared it to others. I went line item by line item and compared it. I went back to their company to ask them, “Oh, what about this? Might there be a charge for this? Because we didn't talk about this and this is my situation.” And it turned out it would be the same or more with these other companies.

    Moving APT kept in touch with me about the schedule, because I had to do it in advance. I always had a contact number to stay in touch with people. And they always got back to me. Everything went as planned and expected. I had a very small note. And I was moving things that were in a storage unit. So, my needs were different than most people. I needed them to be able to stick with their days and times that they gave me because I was moving. That was the most important to me. I would recommend that people look into them.

    The initial call was good but getting the delivery guys and scheduling everything was not that great. I was under the assumption that Moving APT would have their own people come in which was what I had been told on my initial call. But that didn't happen. I wasn't aware that the third-party person was going to come to my apartment to move. So, that wasn't cool. The delivery was fine but the people who were packing were not up to it at all. Also, there was some sort of confusion. I took the comprehensive package where they pack and ship everything. But when they got there, they said that they were not gonna do any of the dishes and utensils. So, I had to pack them all by myself and hand it over to them, which wasn't fun at all. As soon as the packing was done, Moving APT was not in the picture at all because all the communication was directly with the movers. So, I was a little surprised with that.

    When the contractor showed up at my door, they had a different quote. They said that it was going to take more space and I was fine with paying for that. But after that happening, Moving APT called me back and gave me a revised quote which was different from what the people who were actually packing had given me. The contractors were giving me one piece of contract, which they changed all the numbers. I signed it and handed them the cash. Then, an email comes from Moving APT saying that I need to pay $300 extra because they upped the reservation fee because the total dollar value had gone up and reservation fee is a portion of that. So, that did not make any sense to me. Afterwards, I never heard back from Moving APT on how they resolved the issue. So, I sent an email with the discrepancies and I never heard back and the issue was never resolved and I never even got a final invoice of what I paid. But I got one from the contractor.

    We were unaware that Moving APT performs cross-country moves. When we knew, we made a call to request a transfer from FL to NY. They have excellent folks! They provided a quote for us; however, it was a little lower than the others. The nicest part, though, was that they came the very other day to our new home! There is no need to wait while they pick up or deliver other cargoes. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and the service was fantastic! Never before has moving been so simple!

    We were very satisfied with the move. I called a moving service in Bryan, Texas, and they wanted roughly 3,000 more than Moving Apt did. I was very glad when Moving Apt contacted me. I was surprised that it was a Florida company that was gonna do the pickup. But they were there when they said. They were very efficient and completed the job very quickly. The only thing that I thought was gonna be a problem was that I had made a payment. It was roughly 1/3 to initiate the contract and the person that came to do the packing did not know how much I had paid.

    The person at Moving APT was good but they’re a broker and things didn’t go well with the moving company. They didn't have the right equipment. They knew I had a motorcycle and they told me that they weren't even going to take the motorcycle to begin with. They charged me almost $1,000 extra with how much stuff that I had, which I had gone through everything with APT. It was a nightmare. I had 24 hours to get out of my house when the moving company showed up. So, I was totally stuck. After I moved down to Florida, I waited a couple of weeks. They were supposed to deliver my stuff and the truck broke down on the way. It got delayed for two days and they finally showed up. Fortunately, because I did such a great job of packing my stuff, I didn't have that much breakage. But they did a lousy job of taking care of everybody. But it wasn't moving APT. It was the company that they got out of Chicago.

    Moving APT stayed on top of everything but the company that I had was tough. I lost my temper with them a few times. It was not a good experience. I'm 70 years old and this is where I'm staying. So, I'm not going to be needing another moving company again but if I had it to do all over again, I would have gone with probably a more known entity who handles everything from start to finish and doesn't use any third party. I wouldn't use APT again because you're at the mercy of whoever they get to move you.

    Moving APT kept increasing the cost at every step of the process and they misrepresented how the delivery would happen. So, I was not particularly thrilled with them. It was confirmed several times that I was having same day delivery because my move was relatively small. What they explained once the actual movers came was that that was not the case. If they couldn't get to my house that day, it would be the following. So, it was a two-day move when I was anticipating a one day move.

    The crew was friendly but not particularly professional. The pickup was delayed several times. I was originally told it was going to be in the morning but they did not show up until 6:00 in the evening. And they didn't finish packing. They said it was going to take about an hour but we didn't leave the old apartment until 11:00. So, their time management was not the best. Similarly, they told us they were going to start first thing in the morning at 8:00 and they were an hour and a half late. Now, all of my boxes and things were being split in the garage space and being put inside the house and they worked very haphazard about what's being piled where in the garage. It was not a condensed process. So, there were stuff that should have been in the front that was in the back. Whatever came off the truck just went in. It wasn't plotted out to make it easy to find things.

    When first reaching out to Moving APT, you are connected with a very professional-sounding representative in Florida who, as it turns out, wins you over with promises that are simply lies. I should have known better, but the positive reviews persuaded me otherwise. You end up being delegated to a moving company which is more local, which for me was 'Eazy Moving.' I was told by Mr. ** that the movers will disassemble and reassemble any furniture during the move so I don't have to. Lie! When I asked the movers on moving-day if they would do that, they looked at me like I was a joke.

    I was also told that the movers will securely package glass items and mirrors (each mirror/glass item you must pay extra for!). Another lie. My glass-shelved cabinet arrived without its shelves and just its metal frame. The glass shelves disappeared/shattered on the truck. I was told that couches and mattresses would be covered by the movers before they load them onto the truck, so I don't have to do that myself either. Lie! My brand-new, beautiful living room couch arrived in my new location smelling like cat urine and mildew. I had to spend hours scrubbing it and nearly threw it out. Not to mention it was also structurally damaged along with my high-quality bookcases and my desk.

    Thank God I covered my mattress myself before these disaster movers arrived, otherwise I would've had to throw it out and buy a new one. My furniture was clearly badly handled and thrown around, having noticeable scratches and uneven and shaky legs upon arrival. The legs of my desk are now permanently crooked.

    I would especially avoid this careless company if you are moving into an apartment building. I was told that the movers would have no problem waiting for the loading dock in an apartment building to become available if necessary, and that the movers have experience working with/calling apartment management to take care of the whole job. The day on which the movers arrived at my new location was a nightmare. I was forced to pay $300 extra because the movers had to come back two hours later than planned--the elevators in my new apartment building were unexpectedly being repaired at the exact time that the movers arrived. This was a situation totally out of my control, and I thought the movers (based on what I was told when I hired them!) would be considerate and flexible. I was instead penalized, and the movers were frustrated and did not want to communicate with the apartment building management as promised.

    This financial penalty is NOT something you're told about when you first reach out to Moving APT--in fact, I was told the exact opposite ("the movers are glad and able to wait if needed, it's no problem or inconvenience, don't worry, etc.") Lastly, I'll add that I couldn't communicate directly with the mover himself partly because of a language barrier-- if I wanted to talk to the mover I had to call a separate number in Florida who would translate and transmit my message to the movers, which was time-consuming and frustrating.

    Throughout the moving process, at least 4 different people in the administrative ranks of Moving APT were calling me and telling me "I am now your new point of contact for moving questions," or "I can't answer that question so I'm now referring you to so-and-so." It was so stressful! And I thought hiring a moving company would save me the stress of driving my own U-Haul. Boy was I wrong. This company is a disaster! I'm telling family and friends to avoid it at all costs!!

    The rep was super helpful and really nice. We had an actual conversation, which was nice, rather than him trying to push me to sign up. But the local service that was used was kind of a pain. They didn't contact me at all before the day they were going to show up, which I thought that I was going to get a call a day or two in advance, which would have been okay, except that we lived in the busiest neighborhood of Boston and were trying to make sure we had parking for them.

    When I talked and got set up for the move, we talked about what I needed to do for parking. I needed a day to know they were coming so I could post signs. But they didn't contact me at all until Move APT's customer rep called me and said, "Hey, your movers are going to come today." I was told they would be there in an hour. I was able to scramble to find parking for them. When I did my QA call with Move APT, they suggested that there was going to be an 18-wheeler coming. But in Beacon Hill, Boston, that would be literally a nightmare for both me and the driver. So I was confused because I didn't think that was what I signed up for. But it didn't end up happening. So that worked out.

    The movers came in and boxed everything up. As far as the actual packing up, they did a good job. They jumped in and started working. They did a good job of taking care of stuff. They didn't speak much English, which was totally fine. But they were super friendly and very nice. The broker at Move APT was great. But the local service was not.

    I have the two-week window of things to be delivered and from the conversation I had with the sales rep, it was very likely to be very much on the early end of that, which was obviously preferred by me. But then on the 15th, I got an email from the Boston moving company that had moved my stuff, and they asked, "Hey, we have a delivery truck that's broken. Can we get your stuff to you after July 4th," which was, "No." I ended up calling them and finally got ahold of somebody and they got it to me, not on the 15th, but it was the 28th. But all my interactions with Move APT were really helpful. All the customer reps that called me and talked to me were super helpful and happy to help me sort out problems with the movers.

    My experience with Moving APT was kind of mixed. They told me they were gonna get my stuff to me in three to five days. It ended up taking closer to three weeks. Most of my stuff arrived intact. There were a few small things broken and a couple of additional fees, but at least the stuff got to me. I was pretty upset about the final cost. They added costs that weren't even on the original inventory that ended up raising the cost about $1,000 beyond the initial quote. On top of that, communication with the drivers was kind of tough. They told me they were gonna arrive between 8:00 am and 11:00 am this one day, and so I was like, "Great. I'll wait for them to pick up the stuff and then I'll make my drive to Sacramento." They ended up showing up at 6:00 pm that night.

    Then, the people picked up my stuff, and the guy who was the driver brought the stuff to his house in Vegas and hung out there for a few days instead of bringing my stuff to me on time. Every time we called the contracted company, they wouldn't answer. Every time we called the national company, they would blow me off and say, "Oh, we'll ask them about it." We probably called the driver and them about 10 times. It was kind of a mess.

    Moving APT kept messing up my order when I called and placed it. It took them a week to get me somebody, and when the truck finally decided to come there was not enough room on the truck to put my stuff on it. They had already given me a space for like 2 feet. I told them I had a two-bedroom apartment to be moved. When they put all my stuff on the truck, the guy unplugged my deep freezer and saw that there was food in there. I said, “Do you want me to take it out?” He said, “Well, we'll deliver it. If we don't bring it tonight, we'll do it first thing in the morning.”

    First thing in the morning, I couldn't get in touch with the guy. He wouldn't call me back. I kept calling. I finally called and talked to someone in the office. The lady said, “That's not how it goes. It goes to the storage. And then we get somebody to bring it out.” Then they told me that the guy tried to bring it out, but the truck was too heavy to go across the scale, and they had to take it back. So, I never got direct information. The food was thawed out and it was wasted. I paid too much money for that for my food to be sitting up in a storage for a week. I was really disappointed and very dissatisfied.

    I booked my cross-country move with MovingAPT and the sales guy was great "You are covered with us on insuring your things, we use the best movers"...And then QA and scheduling and pickup started. QA was rude and difficult, managers were unwilling to help. They used Big Shoulders Moving and Storage to move my things which was the worst thing to ever happen. Not only did they take 15 hours to move a 4 bedroom house into a truck. But they took 16 days to get me my things across 1200 miles. My things were delivered with the industrial treadmill broken and unable to be fixed, L shaped executive desk destroyed, 2 bookcases broken. When I filed to be made whole... I was offered $75 because they felt that was fair for almost $5000 of product. Please find and use anyone but this company when you search for a reputable mover.

    Moving APT contracted Hercules Movers and Packers to move my belongings from Texas to Georgia. It's been over a month and they never delivered my belongings. Based on the contract they are supposed to deliver within 21 days. Now, they are not returning calls, texts, and email, and the phone number listed for the movers is out service!

Our Customer Service Department has also tried reaching the customer to see how their delivery went and to make sure that Hercules Movers compensated them for any delay, but again, the customer has not gotten back to us.     The representative of Moving APT was good. He was straightforward and talked very practical about what to expect. However, the initial quote and ending bill were very inaccurate. I talked to somebody from Florida for the initial. The quality assurance for the adjustment was different. That was when it changed. After the QA, when the movers picked up my stuff, they changed it again. After I was assured after the QA that those were the final prices, the movers changed them again. It changed four times throughout the whole process. It kept increasing.

    I wasn't also favorable of the moving crew. When everything was brought over, they were four hours late. We had to work really hard to get things done. I only had one person that I could talk to. The other folks could only speak Spanish. The end of it was also unusual because they wanted tips afterward. I gave what I could give them at the time. It wasn't the best experience. They also came over here and brought a bunch of stuff that we got to throw away. Our couch, the middle part is completely destroyed. Anything that I didn't box up got substantial damage. Our antique furniture that was passed down two generations was also damaged.

    As we talked with the sales rep, everything seemed clear and everything was squared away, and then three days before, as we talked with the customer service, the rep told us that everything we'd been sold on wasn't accurate. We were a couple of days out from the move so, it didn't sound like that was gonna be a realistic possibility. We were locked into it and we'd already paid. We were told it was 1,800 but they asked if I could stretch it. It could be closer at 2,500 and it was okay. That was reasonable. The guy hadn't said the total price was 4,400. That catches you off guard, especially when you can't do anything about it at this point because they have your stuff. And if you don't pay, you're not getting your stuff back.

    We were told we would get 24 hours heads-up in terms of drop-off. I got a call a couple of hours prior asking if we were gonna be in town. Otherwise, they were gonna charge us more for not being able to drop off. I was able to pick it up because I canceled something so I wound up staying around. And they wound up being about four hours later than what they predicted delivery was, which I understand traffic. Then, they had us sign for everything that got delivered before it got dropped off so we couldn’t review that nothing was broken or everything was there. We had to sign before they would even open the truck doors. Then as they came back up after everything was signed, he said to see where there was a long carry. We have already paid long carry at pick-up and I asked him to explain. He said that if I don't give him $400, he was gonna put it on the street for me. It was 9:00 p.m. on a Sunday night. So, the experience wasn’t great with them.

    I understand that an estimate is an estimate but our total price was around 4,100 and there were different fees that were thrown in there, which I've been trying to get clarity from Moving APT. I've called four times and I've been told each time that I'm gonna get a call back and still have not gotten one in regard to the other pieces including some broken stuff that hasn't been addressed either.

I was very surprised how efficient they were in packing and how fast. In two and a half hours, they had the stuff packed and loaded.     They were late picking my stuff up due to a snowstorm, which I understood. But they were supposed to drop it off on the 6th of April and they didn't get there till the 11th. They also charged me $300 extra or they wouldn't unload my stuff. I was supposed to pay 921 and they made me pay 1,221 before they’d even unlock their little trailer. They also didn't come there until 10:30 at night and it's a retirement home. Everyone was sleeping. Then they just threw everything in a shed. The lids were broken. I had three wardrobes and all my clothes were wadded in the bottom of the boxes. It was awful.

    The Moving APT rep I worked with was Thomas. He was a little gruff. He would call me or ask me to call him at weird times. It didn't strike me as the most normal business. But he was nice, helpful and everything worked out. Their documentation of things was not perfect, though. Certain pieces of information were not consistently being passed along. I told every single person in the whole process that there was no elevator at the place where we were moving into and yet, every new person I talked to was like, “We see there's an elevator in the place in Chicago.” I kept saying, “No elevator,” all the way to the point where the physical movers got there on the front end. They were dismayed. One of them was complaining the whole seven and a half hours, it took them to move the stuff into our apartment.

    The guys who packed up the stuff did it really fast. They had it all packed up in a couple of hours or so. But I didn't understand their process as to why I have to wait so long to get my stuff. They picked up my stuff on a Saturday evening and they brought it to Maryland but they kept it there for over a week. But the movers that came and got the stuff were really good but they spoke broken English so it was a little bit hard to understand them.

    As far as communication with the people in the office, it was okay. But I was the one who had to keep calling and double-checking on things and as far as how you had to pay it, too. You had to make the initial deposit, and then when they came to get the stuff, I had to pay that. Since it was over the quote, I was charged more money for it plus all the extra stuff that was included. Once they delivered the stuff, then they wanted another payment.

    I was notified of the company that would be in charge of my move a bit late. It was within the window when I could no longer cancel to get my refund. I looked at the moving company's reviews and complaints and it was a bad set of information. They do business as Roadrunner Moving but their company name is Polaris. Furthermore, when I went on the FMCSA website, it says their insurance was not in good standing. I contacted Moving APT to find out if this is okay. They mentioned that they've always done business with this company and they were fine. They also told me that I will be able to get full coverage insurance through this moving company. A few days before, I was calling them to find out when they’d come get my moving items.

    They did not show up until the last day of my five-day window. That was a Sunday and I was expected to vacate my apartment on Monday. So my stress levels were through the roof because no one was contacting me. Also, they did not have sufficient packing material and they used all my packing paper and the little bit that they had left. I even gave them extra boxes to use because they came unprepared.

    I was told to tell them about high-value items and I said, "My couch, two beds, my TV and my computer". They just continued packing and they got most of the stuff packed in six hours. However, they were having issues with my couch I was telling them what they should do but they didn't really listen to me. I had to help them move the couch over the second-floor balcony which was not the safest. They finished everything around 12:30 am and I had to be there for all of that.

    Also, the truck they showed up in was a rental truck from Hertz Truck Rental and what they had was a printout of their MCN or DOT number taped to it. Because I wasn't sure what was going on, I ran to Best Buy to get some AirTags and I placed three of them amongst my items so I could track everything. The next day, I tracked my items and they had moved my items to a storage facility in Pasco, which was just 10 miles away from where my apartment was at the time. The items stayed there for close to a month. I emailed Moving APT that Roadrunner had an issue with their insurance and that it's not in good status. Then their entire status as a transporter got revoked by the FMCSA. So they were no longer in good standing with the FMCSA. So, I started panicking. No one at Moving APT responded or said anything to me.

    I finally got information that my items are on the next transport coming over to the eastern part of the country. It ended up in Florida where it stayed for a few more days before I got a call late on a Sunday evening, telling me that I should expect my items delivered in the morning. It was over a month and a half before I got my items. The kicker that I got was when the movers pulled up, it was not Roadrunner. They subcontracted my items to another company and did not tell me.

    They contracted it out to a company called Top 10 Van Lines and the guy was saying, “Oh, we need payment before we unload. And I was just like, "Who's gonna pay for the late deliveries?” He said, “I don't know. That's not my thing. We were just contracted out to move this here.” I was able to pay a part of the fees through Zelle because Zelle allows up to $2,000 the same day. And I had to figure out how to get them the rest of it. I didn't even know how much I was gonna be paying for this part because I thought there was gonna be a deduction with the late fees.

    I got a money order and they said, “All right. Okay, I guess we're ready to go.” They took out a measuring stick to measure from where they parked and walked all the way to my apartment door plus the stairs. So I got charged an extra $425 even though the contracted amount was supposed to already include a second story. They charged the distance to the apartment. The issue wasn't the fact that they charged that. It was the fact that they relocated the truck to a closer position and moved everything across the lawn so that it will be easier for them. So I got charged for them being lazy. When they delivered my stuff, some of my tools from my toolboxes are missing and so was my step ladder. Also, my TV was broken and when I looked at the box, there was no packing in it for any support. With the limited liability insurance at 60 cents per pound, I'm not gonna get anything back for any of this.

    Moving APT was the least expensive quote I received for my cross-country move. That translated to complete dissatisfaction with the entire process. I received my belongings after 34 days, just to have things arrive broken or damaged. Throughout the process, I attempted to get a delivery date from Carmen, who wasn't helpful at all--just to have her lie to me for weeks, telling me that I would receive my belongings in a made up number of days, whichever she decided on that day.

    At the beginning of the process, they referred me to a vehicle hauler, which was another broker. Again, more lies. On the day before I was set to leave town, I still wasn't able to hand over the keys to my car. So I canceled the pickup, just to receive a phone call where I was insulted and called stupid. When I told Moving APT who they had referred me to and what had happened, they didn't respond or seem to care at all. Avoid Moving APT, and do research into their d/b/a's to know who else to avoid.

    One of the worst companies I have EVER worked with!! Once you book with them and give them your deposit, it is almost impossible to get hold of them after that. They hired out another moving company to do our move, which turned out to be a scam company. We paid Moving APT to have the movers repack a number of boxes and for a number of packing materials. This money apparently never went to the movers and then the movers that they hired out charged us another $650 for that. The movers did a terrible job at repacking- everything was literally thrown in boxes and so took up extra space (which we were charged extra for).

    When the movers brought us our items they gave us 20 minutes' notice. ALL of our furniture was damaged as well as other bits. Worst of all was that about $6000 worth of our items had been lost/stolen. This happened 2 months ago. It is almost impossible to get hold of Moving APT and they are taking no responsibility for hiring a scam moving company. The moving company they hired out was Coast to Coast Moving in NJ, who I have rung 30-40 times over the last two months and the only time they answered the phone was when I used someone else's phone to make the call. I rang the police on this company and the police said they were a scam company and that Moving APT should take responsibility- which they will not. The move cost over $10,000, then a lot of extra fees that they kept adding on, and then they lost $6000 worth of items. Do not use this company!!!

    If this company isn't a complete scam, it sure feels that way, and they haven't exactly done anything to fix it. I kept getting told I would "only be charged for what gets moved." They moved roughly half the estimated weight. and I got charged MORE than the estimate. We moved a fraction of the items, and sold some of the larger items (like the kayaks/bicycles) we were told would be more expensive. Several pieces of furniture were damaged, a hole was put in my wall, and we watched the movers topple 2 stacks of boxes down the stairs. 1 of those had all of our plates.

    When asked to pay the final amount at delivery, and it being $1500 more than expected, we spent over 3 hours trying to get ahold of anyone from Moving APT or the contracted moving company. It was a Sunday. We figured it was all a misunderstanding. Surely this would get cleared up on Monday and we would get a refund, right? Nope! Got sent to a claims office. I've asked several times for an updated quote based on the bill of lading and still haven't gotten it. We were asked to send all of our documentation and pictures in a single unzipped file <10 mb - I had 160 mb in pictures. We sent it by mail, but because of COVID, THEIR CLAIMS OFFICE ONLY CHECKS THEIR MAILBOX ONCE A MONTH. There's nothing harder to do while maintaining social distancing than checking a mailbox, right? It's Florida, like they even care about COVID anyway. Then each step of the process (and there seem to be a ton) they have 1-3 months to respond.

    We moved going on 4 months ago, and near as I can tell we're owed in the neighborhood of $4,000. At this rate it appears the only way I'm getting it back it to take it to small claims court - and only in Miami Dade County according to the terms and conditions. The huge insurance that is standard with every move...pays out $0.60 per pound of item. So, if they destroy your $7 lb. $2K laptop, congrats, you get about $4 back! I remember being told the whole thing was insured for up to a large sum, but if this was conveyed to me before the morning of pick up, I didn't notice it. I don't check Facebook very often, but if anyone would like to message me directly, I'll happily provide the email chains, the pictures, and the documentation to prove my case - all 160 mb of it. The quote was for $5100, but we got charged over $7,000. Quote numeber **

    I booked and confirmed my moving date 6 months prior and a week before the move they could not find a carrier. They suggested I extend the date but I had a flight and made all other arrangements and that was not a possibility. I was forced to sell all my furniture in 48 hours. I would never again book Moving APT and after carefully reading other reviews I see I was not the only one this has happened to. The worst kind of experience to have when moving! I do not recommend doing business with them!!!

    The sales rep with Moving APT was great and I was very impressed with him so we went with the company. Beyond that we have dealt with 4 different departments that have all given us slightly different information about payment and the process as a whole. We are now beyond the contractual date they had to deliver and I am unable to get a response regarding where we are on our movers and when we can expect delivery. What's even worse is we are waiting on our father's hospital bed to arrive. We have had to rent one and the contract for rental is coming to an end and I have no idea how long I need to continue to rent a bed for him. Very frustrated and disappointed with this entire process. The lack of communication and failure to meet their contractual deadline has been the worst.

    The worst moving services I cannot even imagine; first they do not even know when the movers are coming to pick up your stuff and constantly changing the date and time. Then when the movers pick up your stuff, after a few days they send another contract for you to sign, either not mentioning the 50% balance due you paid to the movers, or after a few times you mention and even let them know you have a copy of the receipt you paid the mover they suddenly change the price on the contract and make you sign the contract.

    And worse than that, even after that, they never never respond you about the delivery date, even when the timeline they specified has passed, so basically you won't know if you ever receive your stuff/furniture or not. Now that I am writing I have asked them about the delivery date even after 22-23 days from picking up my furniture, and they did not even bother themselves to respond to the phone calls, emails, messages. In summary, the worst moving services one may not even be able to imagine!

    This is, without question, the worst moving company I have ever deal with. I spent so much time on the phone with Robert P who went through the pictures of the house on Zillow, which gave me a lot of confidence in the quote – which was thousands of dollars lower than the other quotes I received. Then, a week before the move, they did a quality check with someone else, who DOUBLED the cost. It was too late to get my deposit back or book another company. The movers were not done until 1:30 AM, at which time they told us -for the first time - there would be a 3% fee for using a credit card. The actual cost was thousands of dollars more than the second quote we received.

    When I finally talked to someone, they offered me $500 “for my troubles” – when I called back to accept the offer, he “didn’t remember” speaking to me and didn’t honor it. They had our possessions hostage, so there was very little I could do. I am a lawyer and could sue them, but it isn’t worth the time and energy it would take to recover the thousands of dollars I could have saved by doing more research. But please don’t make the same mistake I made. You should never, ever use this company. There is no upside. Period.

    Thomas showed up right on time with his crew and got right to work. You can really see the difference when the boss is there doing the work himself. They were very careful about our furniture and fragile boxes. The move required 2 trips and Thomas and crew worked hard until the very end, setting up the beds and placing all the furniture exactly where we wanted it. They even moved stuff around for us once we changed our minds. All in all, moving is very stressful, but the actual move went very smooth. Nothing broken and no scratches. Everything was put back together exactly as it has been. If I had to move again (which I hope is not for a very very long time) I would be happy to use Thomas and Moving APT again.

    Petter and his crew not only showed up on time but were a few minutes early. They not only moved all of our furniture quickly, but also took VERY good care of it. They treated the furniture as if it were their own. After packing up the truck they took it over to the new house and placed every box and piece of furniture in the room we requested, not ever 2nd guessing anything. Most importantly they were upfront about the moving costs. Since we had provided them a good idea of what items we had and needed to be moved they advised before touching a single item that the quote they initially provided us was accurate, and there would be no "secret" upcharges. All in all it was a great experience, and next time I need a moving service I will definitely look them up again.

    Moving APT would have to be the WORST, UNPROFESSIONAL, DISHONEST and DISRESPECTFUL brokers I have had the pleasure of working with on my most recent long distance move. From lying about verbiage on contracts and checklist sheets to not properly recording calls for quality assurance. Why make a note at the beginning of calls saying that they are beginning recorded? When actually they aren’t and you are not able to properly watch and or train your sales specialist when things go bad... especially when there are large amounts of money involved and customers' personal belongings. Rachel ** is supposed to be their top specialist but yet she lied from the very beginning about payment options.

    I gave her my card number in confidence that I would be able to use this same card at delivery to receive my items and she agreed on numerous accounts that this would be more than fine. Fast forward, when it comes time to pay— turns out this is not fine!! Why lie about something so small? Then she became unresponsive when I needed support in speaking to dispatchers. How convenient for her? Moving APT must be very low budget in the people they hire and their training programs must be non existent. Moving is an important and stressful time in a customers' life and to know that they could be shafted and lied to by the broker company does not make it any more less difficult. Future customers please save yourself the headache in dealing with such a wretched company and find a more reliable broker! Listen to these poor reviews, these customers are not lying!! I wish I would’ve taken heed and took my money elsewhere!

    Moving APT has reached out to the customer and has sent the customer all paperwork that the customer signed and initialed stating that credit cards can only be used at pickup and never at delivery. The customer signed and initialed these terms on 3 separate occasions. Additionally, the statement that the customer requested to use a credit card to pay in full at pickup and leave no balance for delivery was also written at the top of the customer's booking agreement in large, bold letters, prior to the customer booking, to once again make sure that this was clear, which the customer again acknowledged and signed. Furthermore, Moving APT has also gone back to the conversations between the customer and their representative, and in the conversation, the customer is clearly advised that a credit card can only be used at pickup, not at delivery. It seems the customer was mistaken in writing this review. The customer was not advised this at any point. It is a general industry standard in interstate moves that only cash or postal money order are accepted at delivery. Nevertheless, Moving APT understands that moving is stressful, and sometimes customers may remember things differently. Therefore, Moving APT has offered the customer a courtesy compensation for anything that the customer may have misunderstood, just as a show of good faith from us.

    Moving APT is a SCAM!!! They are not a moving company even though they will sound like they are on the phone. They are just some broker! I was given a 5 day window for my move and NO ONE SHOWED UP!!!! No one called me to say no is coming to move me to ANOTHER STATE and they did not answer or return my calls. I had to dispose of ALL my things on my last day so I can move. These people caused me thousands of dollars in damage and some things I lost cannot be replaced. People responsible for this are Peter and Ronald. Please read the reviews online about these FRAUD people and hire a real moving company. I wish I had done that and did not fall for these scammers.

    I absolutely loved hiring this company! From the booking time until they finished. They know what to do, what to load first, last, they go over a check list which is a HUGE help when moving, there are so many things we can forget. On this matter I gotta give big compliments to Grant, young and energetic young man, very professional, polite and through on point, who along with his partner made our moving day possible.     The drivers and movers on both ends were professional, respectful and courteous. There was no damage to the residences on either end, and there was no damage to the property. This was a "boxes only" move, as there was no furniture involved, though we did have three bicycles moved. Additionally, they handled moving from two starting locations about 70 miles apart, and moved it to a destination about 3000 miles away. It did take 21 business days to arrive, which was the maximum time, but I assume the coronavirus outbreak was contributing to fewer moves happening and/or staffing shortages.

    We contracted with Moving APT at the end of May to move our belongings from New York City, NY to Charleston, SC in preparation for a June 1 relocation. The person that set us up for the move spent a number of calls and emails having us inventory our belongings and during that time also asked us what the earliest acceptance date (or "first available date") was, which we indicated as June 1. On May 28, a different company, Ernest Movers, picked up our belongings.

    On June 1, we arrived in Charleston. One June 3, having heard nothing from Moving APT or Ernest Movers, and not having any of our belongings, we called Moving APT, who told us to call back on June 5. On June 5, we called numerous times, and each time, we were told someone would "look into it [the delivery date]" and get back to us, and no one did.

    Looking back at the fine print in the transaction materials, we see that for a move of over 700 miles, the delivery date could be from 1 to up to 14 BUSINESS DAYS after the "first available date" -- UP TO THREE WEEKS. I am not sure how anyone could reasonably expect that, much less find it acceptable. Moving APT should have disclosed this to us more clearly (i.e., verbally and in writing) and gotten our explicit acceptance (i.e., verbally and in writing) of the waiting period before we contracted with them. It seems like the company was actually deliberately vague about the delivery time so that we would contract with them. It is now June 7, and we still have not heard from Moving APT or Ernest Movers about the delivery date. We have paid June rent in our new apartment to sleep on an air mattress and conduct work sitting on cardboard boxes. I will never use Moving APT again and strongly recommend against them to people I know.

    Moving APT is a booking agent. The customer's contract was with Husky Truck Corp. Moving APT advised the customer initially upon booking of their delivery schedule of 2-14 business days and also had the customer initial this to ensure that it was understood. This was not in fine print. We are happy to advise that the customer`s delivery has been completed, within only 6 days, less than half the time agreed upon, just as an additional courtesy to the customer.

    Moving APT was not good. I went online, and several people called me. We made a deal with them, but I didn't understand that they were going through many trucks and store my furniture in a warehouse. I was shipping it from Connecticut to two different places, in Maine, and then South Carolina. They picked it up and put it in a warehouse in New Jersey and then from New Jersey, they went up to Maine, and then down to South Carolina three months later. I had to keep calling them up. It was just a real hassle. By the time everything came in, I didn't know which went where.

    I figured out about six months later that half my stuff was missing including fishing poles, ladders and anything that wasn't of real value. There was also a missing toolbox with sockets in it. Those were things that if somebody would go in a warehouse they would go, "Hey, I can use that." I tried filing stuff for them but that never went anywhere. I tried to follow up and nothing ever happened. The value of the stuff wasn't that much, just the aggravation that somebody would steal from me. It might be 900 bucks if I have to replace those stuff.

    I called several moving providers and based on the customer service that I got when I called and the price, I decided to work with Moving APT. I was closing out my mother's estate and I was shipping things to four different places. One went from Little Rock to Florida, one went from Little Rock to New Mexico, and two went from Little Rock to Austin, Texas. I needed quotes about doing it in different ways so, it was very convoluted and very difficult for us as well as for their rep. I packed my belongings and the moving crew just loaded them. They did a good job and they delivered the boxes so quickly. But when I opened the last of the stuff, which were my mother’s China, some were missing. It was probably a whole box worth. I said something about it to my brother and he said that he didn’t get any of my mother’s lamps either. He said that he just realized it, which was why he didn’t tell me sooner.

    The China was good China. It would be expensive to replace but it's not the expense to me as much as the sentimental value of it, and the lamps are the same way. My husband was here and received everything. So, I don't know if he wasn't careful to check off every single item. He wouldn't have been as meticulous about that as my brother and I would've been. It has been two years and I don't know if we have any recourse at this point. I also don't know if they have a lost and found but I can at least ask.
