Moving APT exceeded my expectations in every possible way. From the moment I requested a quote, their team was responsive, transparent, and incredibly helpful. Timing was important because of the kid's school schedules. And also the weather wasn’t great that day, but the movers stayed focused. They protected furniture from moisture and handled boxes carefully. All items arrived safely, and the move felt manageable for our family.

My kitchen boxes were packed properly, and nothing was mixed up. Heavy furniture was moved without any issues, even with a tight staircase. I appreciated how they handled my leather sofa and bed. Appreciated guys!

If you value your belongings, your time, and your sanity, avoid Moving APT at all costs. I am missing five boxes and a bar stool. My entire move was packed and ready, yet the crew showed up three hours late and hadn’t even sent my building the required COI. Strike one. When they finally arrived, the movers demanded a tip upfront through Venmo. Strike two.
Then came the real nightmare: instead of handling items carefully, they threw my property into giant boxes with zero protection. My side table—already disassembled and padded—was manhandled. The movers shoved its three glass panels into a box without wrapping them. Result? Shattered glass pouring out of the box, cutting me multiple times.
Boxes labeled “FRAGILE – DO NOT STACK” were ignored. Items crushed. Another table was disassembled and dumped into the same giant box, and now one leg is missing. This wasn’t just sloppy—it was reckless, negligent, and dangerous. I’ve used professional movers before and never experienced anything this unprofessional. DO NOT hire Moving APT. Unless you want your belongings destroyed, missing, or used as leverage for an early Venmo tip, stay far away.

Updated on 09/06/2025: Had to file a complaint with DOT who used a recovery services team to deliver my stuff to me since it had been over 21 business days. Moving APT is lying about saying I didn’t call, text or email for over 3 weeks with no response. They finally reached out to me threatening that my stuff wouldn’t be delivered unless I canceled my dispute on the credit card charge, which I filed because they didn’t provide the service promised, my shipment was over double the price and took way longer than the max 7 days promised. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want sleepless nights dealing with their fraudulent business. Absolute nightmare of a company to work with. Only care about the sale then take no ownership.
Original Review: Do NOT recommend. The carrier they brokered for my move said they would be there on Thursday and did not show up. Then arrived late Friday on my closing day. They were nice and took care loading my things but said they needed double the space even though we itemized everything beforehand and sold a ton of stuff, so my price was double the quote. Once my things were picked up they wanted a direct payment, no card or check. When I contacted the driver for delivery he said he’d get my stuff to me next week. Sunday I got an email from the carrier saying the driver no longer works for them and no response after.
APT has been unresponsive to emails, texts and calls as well. Finally got in touch with the carrier by looking up another number online, since the emails bounced and number provided is temporarily not in service, and now they’re saying they have 30 days to delivery my stuff, even though APT said 1-7 business days. Still haven’t received my delivery, don’t have an ETA and Moving APT has not responded back in over 2 weeks.
We are very sorry to hear this customer was not happy with their services. Unfortunately, our Customer Service Department has never received a call or message from this customer. We are not sure who they contacted but are happy to assist however we can. Upon review, we show delivery was completed. However if the customer's mover did not provide any delay compensation, we are happy to ourselves. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I used them for my move from California to Texas. They called me everyday til I a made a deposit and scheduled a pickup day. Got quoted 4 different prices at pickup, Pick up day comes around and they stop answering my phone calls. I called every number I could find for them and no response. Drop off day comes around and I’m missing at least two totes full of clothes and my ladder. Emailed, called, texted, nothing. They said I have 48 hours to file a complaint. I tried calling and guess what… NO RESPONSE. I beg you please don’t use them and unprofessional. I also hope that if I leave this review they will finally reach out to me. And discuss more but I’m also not holding my breath on that.

This has been the worst experience I have ever had moving. Being prior military, I have been through numerous moves, and this has been the absolute worst experience ever in my life! One price agreed and contract signed. This is a broker who then hires whom ever in your area. Movers were supposed to show up at 10 am, they don't show up till 4 pm. They show up in a rental truck not big enough for our household. They want to get a second truck and charge us an additional $3500. Now here for the second day to finish packing and who knows when our things will get to our new home in another state. This has been a nightmare and a scam. Do not use this company, it is terrible and so stressful!

Moving Apt was unprofessional throughout the entire process. They also quoted me one price that I locked in but at the end they added on an additional 2,600 on top at the 2,500 I already paid. For a redelivery fee in which they never called or attempted to call to deliver in the first place.

This was one of the worst experiences of my life. Everything this company told us from day 1 ended up not being true. Bot only were we charged double our quoted price even though we shipped less than was quoted, but they told us if we did not pay, they would hold our delivery until we paid. Then it took nearly 1 month for our stuff to arrive and when it did, it was an absolute nightmare. So much damage, missing items, they did not install things like they promised. Their workers guilted us into even giving them tips. They left a mess in our house, and everything had so much tape on it took hours to un tape it. They did an absolutely horrible job and I would highly recommend do not trust this company.

That said, we have reached out to the customer and have offered our own assistance with this. Run from this company!! They quote one price, take your stuff, keep it who knows where for weeks and weeks. Then demand more money for it. Seven phone numbers that they never answer. They prey on the elderly and young, inexperienced people. Took my daughter’s stuff 26 days ago and we have not seen it since. How can this business run like this?

I was discouraged by this company. They hired contractors that were late. My pickup time was incredibly late and they stated I picked a three day window. I don’t live close and the person I spoke with was somewhat rude. My furniture was not wrapped. It’s sitting in my garage without a cover and same with the tv. I asked for those items to be packaged, but they had a long day. I get it, but those are my things. I was just disappointed. Mostly about the fact that they dragged my mattress over wet concrete. Now, I’m paying someone to clean it for me. If you do pick this company? Communicate needs clearly with the people that show up. They don’t seem to all know what or how to move people’s things with the care that was expected of me. I should have stood up for myself before this, but want people to know. Use with caution and be prepared to communicate/supervise.

Updated on 09/03/2025: Moving APT offered $100 for us to take this poor review down. We are not doing such. Moving APT is the contractor and yes, Andrew identified himself when we first called with our complaint. Eazy Moving is one of their sub-contracting companies. Our two pieces of luggage and a pet carrier also came up missing. A Moving APT CSR has told us we already made a claim on the $1,200 we were scammed (they refuse to refund), therefore Moving APT doesn’t want to allow another claim/complaint. Proceed at your own risk. Go with a reputable mover who will insure your belongings and not sub out with other non-affiliated companies. Go with a Better Business Bureau backed company!
Original Review: Worst scammers on the market. The company they referred to us, kept postponing our moving date, and finally we waited on moving day & night with not even a call to cancel. Was told the movers were still at a house where they had to move an entire upstairs of furniture that was not on “the list.” Next day, we had the same scam pulled on us for an extra $1200.00 in added cost.
We’ve given Andrew and his Supervisor at Moving APT over five weeks to look into what appears to be a systemic problem of “losing page(s) off the original list,” and not considering what the customer provided as the actual list of belongings. They undercut the market to take your business, and then upcharge without any factual data. You will hear things such as: 1) You must sign up today to get a discount. 2) Prices will skyrocket next week. 3) We can move your items, reducing the wait on the timeline if this is done verbally over the telephone.
When we arrived at our new destination, the movers held our belongings hostage. Ready to take the truck with our items, if we didn’t surrender the extra cash on the spot. No credit cards. They warned us, we will get fired if the Broker knows we are cutting you this special price to avoid their take. Moving A.P.T. is fully aware, and doing nothing about it. Please be warned, and sign us off as regrettably unsatisfied.

Dishonest and Predatory Practices – Stay Away! I had a terrible experience with this moving company. I was given a binding quote based on detailed evidence I provided, including exact measurements, item lists, and photos of everything to be moved. They reviewed all this and assured me the quote was firm. But on the day of the move, they suddenly demanded over $2,000 more, claiming that the load was "more than expected"—even though nothing had changed. It was clearly a bait-and-switch tactic designed to trap people at the last minute when they have no other options. This isn’t just bad service—it's deceptive and unethical. I’ve filed complaints with the appropriate agencies, and if anyone is organizing a lawsuit or class action, count me in. No one should have to go through this kind of financial and emotional stress during an already difficult time.
Please note that Moving APT was the customer's booking agent. Unfortunately, the customer is referring to their moving company in this review. The customer booked a space reservation, and upon their moving company's arrival, the customer needed additional space on their truck beyond what they had reserved. The customer's moving company advised them how much it would be for the additional space, and the customer requested to cancel. The customer's cancellation and refund have both been processed.

EXORBITANT PRICING, MISLEADING. We were given an initial “estimate” from the Miami-based Moving Apt broker (and Moving Services Stream) of $2,100 (which included a broker fee of $499, Freight Elevator charge of $75, a 15% fuel surcharge and $300 for pickup on a particular day). Our final, actual costs were close to $4,000 to move one bedroom furniture 214 miles. Based on per lb./cubic feet rate, on the day of pickup by United Prime Van Lines, the “estimate” of 348 ci/ft was doubled to 650 cubic feet at $3.85 per cu ft. We were given a new Total Binding Estimated Price of $3,087.76.
You are not given the name of the movers or contract until pickup, and we also learned that there are additional fees incurred for any packing materials including boxes or moving any glassware among other fees. You are also informed that “United Prime Van Lines are not responsible for any VERBAL promises by sales representatives/foreman/team lead.”
After loading, United Prime gave us a new figure of $3,749.98; we also learned that once loaded, items cannot be taken off. We had no choice but to pay. One half of the difference was given to United Prime and the other half in CASH only to the delivery movers (Family Movers) before they unload your goods – a difference of approximately $1,649. One of the worst experiences I have had. - I would give a zero if I could. Also, MovingApt makes it difficult to file a customer complaint online.
Moving APT was the customer's booking agent. We were very sorry to hear the customer wasn't happy with their moving company's service & contacted them to investigate. They've confirmed the customer had additional & bulky items to transport, & they simply offered a price for the additional. This was completely optional, & items could be removed at any time. That said, we've contacted the customer & have offered a courtesy compensation from our part as a show of good faith. Our offer remains open.

I booked a move through Moving APT under urgent, traumatic circumstances — fleeing domestic abuse, with everything I owned in jeopardy. I made it extremely clear that I needed a guaranteed single-day move, coordinated with law enforcement and the landlord. I was charged additional fees for this exact request. Instead, they subcontracted to MNS Transport (without telling me), who arrived late, unprepared, and with a truck already over half full. I had to leave key belongings behind (bike, kayak, loveseat), do part of the move myself, and call the police again to help ensure my safety.
I paid $900.90 to Moving APT and $757.66 to their “customer service partner” Moving Services Team — and an additional $2,470 to the carrier. None of the promised services (wrapping, protection, disassembly, reassembly) were provided. My belongings were damaged, not reassembled, and the delivery came without documentation or support. Despite dozens of emails and formal requests for the signed Bill of Lading, no one ever sent it.
The claims process was a joke — I was offered $70 for thousands in damages and broken promises. The companies involved just pointed fingers at each other while I was left homeless, traumatized, and grieving the death of my senior cat amid this chaos. I’ve filed formal complaints with the FMCSA, BBB, and state attorneys general. These companies work together to trap people in a cycle of deception, and no one is accountable. Avoid Moving APT at all costs.

They change the moving date in the last minute, the company they used for transport changed the delivery date 3 times!!! I was not living at my new location yet so I had to travel 300 miles each way for three times in 8 days because they would call me the day of delivery to change the date! I called Moving APT every time the truck driver would call me and cancel and they would transfer me to Customer Service, which was only voicemail, and NEVER returned my calls.
Besides that, they didn't give the dispatchers the correct inventory and in the end I had to pay extra to the truck driver otherwise they said they wouldn't delivery my stuff, and on top of that, I had a broken furniture and when I contact Moving APT they said they would help me "as a favor" because I should contact the movers not them. P.S. I NEVER hired the movers, but yes I did hired Moving APT.

Worst service ever from beginning to end! The Moving APT vendors call you 100 times a day until you agree; but then, nobody answers. They subcontracted a company for the moving services in San Antonio that damaged all the furniture. It has been over two months since I filed the damages request without an answer.
