I love my mobile home and I was happy with what I paid. I did $20,000 worth of upgrades on the mobile home, but I am happy with what I received overall. The sales office was wonderful. They explained everything well and were always there to answer questions. The project manager assigned to me did a very good job as well. Bethany was who I worked with and she is phenomenal. She should be given a gold star. I appreciate her follow-up on items that aren't even her responsibility.
But I am not happy with the service department. I knew that when the mobile home would arrive, there'd be potential damage. That's outlined in the packet of information and the sales office even pointed that out. When the mobile home arrived, there was some damage to the exterior siding on the end that was hooked to the truck that drove it here as well as a couple of cracks underneath the windows.
The installer installed everything and it took several days to get everything done. But once the water was hooked up, there was no hot water. The installer was not a plumber, so he had no idea. We bought two new thermostats, thinking that potentially, the thermostat was bad when we got it. But that didn't prove to be the case. I ended up having to hire a plumber to come and look at the water heater. There was something in the water heater that had to be reset. Once he did whatever he did, I had hot water. I had a bill for that and submitted that to the service department. They said that there were no items broken in the water heater. They are denying any reimbursement to me, which is a little bit frustrating because it's not like I made that up.
I also had some siding that was loose by my front door up at the top edge at the roof line. The installer fixed it once, but it ended up coming down again along with the piece next to that. I had called a company to come out and put gutters on the mobile home. They said that I was missing a utility trim and a J channel at the roof line that locked those top pieces of the siding in. I went back and forth for weeks with the service department. I talked with Summer who was my contact there. She was a very nice girl, but she was getting no results. She seemed very sympathetic, but she hasn't been given the tools to be able to take care of any customer complaints. She does not have access to materials and contractors to be able to issue over a legitimate problem.
She said she was arguing with MHE, the manufacturer. I don't know what there was to argue. When the mobile home arrived, there were multiple pieces of siding within the mobile home. I wasn't asking for the siding to be replaced at the roof line. I was asking for somebody to send the J channel, the utility trim, and for them to come and fix that because I couldn't get the gutters on until that was done. The manufacturer could not understand what happened to those pieces of siding. I told them the installer used that siding to repair what was buggered up when it was delivered where it hooked to the front of the truck when it hooked to the front of the mobile home. He spliced another piece that he bought himself and fixed that so it doesn't look bad from the road. But it still is a sliced piece and not a whole piece, and I've never heard anything about that replacement.
I hired the installer to come back. He tacked those top siding pieces back on and I was able to get the gutters installed. I wasn't thrilled about that. I heard that there was an approval that they would reimburse me for that because I have submitted that invoice which I paid too. But as of today I still have no news on the cracks underneath the window, if and when those will ever get repaired.
The mobile home comes with a furnace, and I had central air installed. I knew going into this that that was my expense to install central air. But the central air is exceptionally loud. I tried to talk to see if somebody could come out and take a look at that. But service told me I had to contact the furnace manufacturer. I did and they said that I needed to have the HVAC guy come back and try to adjust the blower speed inside the furnace. Since there were no broken pieces, warranty doesn't cover any of that. But when he had installed the air conditioner, he said there was one vent that wasn't blowing, so he didn't know whether that was hooked up or not, which again, I reported. I filled all of those items out on the punch list that I was given within the first so many days that I was supposed to. But nobody has looked at it or taken action on it.
The installer that Home Nation contracted with to install the mobile home was an exceptionally nice guy. He tried and he did everything that he was supposed to do. But I didn't understand the reluctance to send somebody out to take a look at that water heater. That really irks me that I'm not gonna get reimbursed for that bill. I paid for the siding repair and for the fix for the hot water heater. The hot water bill was $219 and some change, and it was $150 to fix the siding. It's not like I'm trying to take advantage of anybody. I bought a brand new home and I expect it to be brand new and to work when it got here. If I spend the amount of money that I did for the mobile home and the installation, I expect it to be perfect.
Since the manufacturer puts the mobile home together, they ought to have contacts in quality and supplier support for wherever they procure their products to build the manufactured home. I don't understand why they wouldn't even have a technical service that whatever installer is hired to install the mobile home would have a number for them to call. If you have a plumbing issue, call this number. If you have heater issue, call this number. There should be some level of expertise offered by the manufacturer, to be able to know right away that there's an issue or there's not an issue.

It was a nightmare with Home Nation. I told them about a narrow bridge that they would have to cross. The delivery said they weren't worried about that. They were worried about trees. I said, "Tell me what day they would be there and I'll have someone there to cut down anything that's in their way." But they decided they didn't wanna cross the bridge. Andrea was the consultant for the delivery and I had asked her to have the trailer dropped off and I would get it across with a bobcat with my brother. But she refused. She said, "We need a contractor." But they couldn't find a contractor. I had to find it.
I had to call around local mobile home parks to find out who they used, and I found one contractor that would accept the job. I had to do all that, although it should have been Andrea's job to do that. I shouldn't have had to pay $6500 to get the trailer across the bridge. Also, I still have unresolved issues with the home. I got a broken light fixture in the bathroom and in the dining room. I have another outdoor corner piece that has to be replaced because it was ripped off in delivery.

The price of Home Nation was a good selling point for me. Not exactly what I wanted, but close enough. In that price, I can make it work. However, the guy that set it, I've had nothing but trouble with him. Every time he told me he was gonna do something, it would be a week later. But everything else was good. Everything was step by step. I'm totally satisfied with Home Nation.

I got the home a month ago and I'm gonna start making payments in two weeks and I can't even live there yet. I'm still missing some parts of the home. They didn't send me the front and back sidings, and some wood to do some details from the front and back of the house. I'm also missing the trimmers to put them together on the floor inside the house. The home also came broken. I sent them their pictures about a month ago when we got the home that the sheetrock was broken. One of the sheetrocks was placed on a broken post that has like a little glue and a bracket to put together. So, they put that as a base and it broke. So, the sheetrock, part of the bathroom, part of the middle of the house, and on the front are broken. They told me they were gonna work on an estimate to give me a check or send somebody to fix that, but it's been almost three weeks.
I called Home Nation today again about this and they didn't even order the pieces that I'm missing yet. They told me to close the loan with Cascade so they could get the money and they could take care of everything that was missing and on the estimate of the broken parts inside the house. I didn't want to sign the final close with Cascade until I got all the parts delivered. But I signed it and I got a receipt from Home Nation that they already got paid, but they haven't even sent the pieces that I need, and it's been three weeks. So, I called them today. It looks like today they're gonna make the order so I can get all the missing parts. But it hasn't been good at all.

I would never ever recommend Home Nation to anyone. The purchase process with them was awful. It was one thing after another. They told me that when I paid the $10,000 deposit, it was gonna take eight weeks and they would send the order to the factory at that time. I paid the deposit in December 2021. I kept wanting to know about when the mobile home was gonna be built and when it was gonna be delivered only to find out 10 weeks later that they hadn't even placed the order with the factory.
I knew something was wrong 'cause every time I called, I was getting a runaround. It was disgraceful how irresponsible it was and what a lack of attention to the customer's satisfaction and well-being. Every time I asked the salesperson a question, the answer was, "I don't know. Let me find out and I'll get back to you." I wasn't asking difficult questions. Any time I had a question, nobody had an answer for me. They never gave me an explanation.
It was a Champion motorhome, and they've got an economy line, a moderate line and a deluxe line. With each line, you get more and more options that are available to you. All my daughter could afford was the economy line and the home was shoddy construction. The doors were cock-eyed in the frames and didn't close right. The trim around the doors and windows didn't even line up or was an inch or two short in some locations. The workmanship was very bad. The site was going on a hill and when they finally delivered it to me, and everybody kept saying, "Back it in this way," but the guy insisted on backing in a different way and wound up damaging the mobile home.
In addition, they didn't secure the front edge of the roof properly. In transit, shingles got damaged from the wind. I kept calling the salesperson and saying, "You said that there was a full one year warranty on this. I've got damage. What do we do?" I was told to get somebody to do it, submit the receipts and I'd be reimbursed. I did exactly that. I bought shingles and siding and had my installer do a professional installation. Two years later, I've never been reimbursed. I've called them several times and they would say they'd look right into it but I've never heard back from them.
My recommendation to anybody is don't buy a mobile home online. Instead of wasting your time researching online, research your local dealers and buy with somebody that you can sit down with face-to-face, not only for the buying process, but also for the installation process and for any follow-up that needs to be done. You're much better off paying more and being able to have somebody local that takes responsibility and that you can hold accountable than buying something from online. With Home Nation I was talking to somebody in Wisconsin or Michigan, the factory is in Pennsylvania, and the headquarters of the business is in Florida.
In a global society, you can buy anything you wanna buy from countless places. What you have to find is exemplary customer service which trumps everything. It's more important than quality of product because you can't buy it. You can only get it from a company that understands it and Home Nation doesn't. The customer service of this company is atrocious. More important than anything else is standing behind the product and making the customer feel like a valued person and not just somebody whose money they wanna get. That's where Home Nation failed the most.

The process with Home Nation was good and I was satisfied. They delivered the home here but not to the site. They couldn’t get it in and I had to have someone else come and install it. Other than the delivery, everything was good.

I was satisfied with Home Nation's purchase process. Everything was easy. The first person I spoke to got me a house.
Reviewed Aug. 13, 2024
The purchase process was easy and straightforward. Kendall helped me and he was a good guy. He explained the different models of the homes and we discussed that. He got me hooked up with the one that he thought was best suited for my situation. It's a little small, but it works for my situation so it was ideal. Also, the delivery went well. It came from Indiana and the guys who came out were great. They parked the home where we asked them to and it was easy for my setup crew to get in there and put it together. We had some issues with the home, though. There were some walls that are a little out of square and stuff like that, but that's nothing major. I fixed it and we rolled on with it.
Reviewed Aug. 13, 2024
It's been good so far with Home Nation. The rep helped me pick out the model. It's a four-bedroom home. It's got a living room and you could use the other one as a den or a dining room. I like the living room and the kitchen area.

Home Nation is a good company to deal with. They have taken care of a number of things. I have a few things they still need to take care of, but it went well. The consultant was attentive, answered my questions, was consistent and moved along in a fashion where it worked. We're using the home as a construction office. It has two little offices. it's 42 feet long, so it's perfect for what we wanted to do.
Reviewed July 29, 2024
We had a lot of problems with Home Nation. First, we got the approval. We bought the home. Then they had a delivery date. It didn't come on the delivery date. It was three months late. Then when they delivered it, the delivery people didn't deliver it where the guy was saying to put it. They delivered it backwards. So, I had to pay extra to get a guy to come in and turn it around and put it on the pad. They left it 200 yards from where it was supposed to be. Then we had to hire somebody to put it together. It was a double-wide. They didn't put T-braces or anything in there. All the sheetrock was laying on the ground.
Home Nation didn't do anything for me. The guy that was putting it together said, "I could put it up for you, but it's gonna be an extra charge." Everything turned into extras. Then when it came time to do the plumbing and the electrical, I don't know if they hurried taking it out of the plan, but they didn't even mark where the plumbing was. The installation is all underneath. It was all black. There were no marks where the plumbing was to hook up the plumbing. There were no marks where the electrical lines were. The electrician got it all put together, but then he couldn't find the third wire to plug in for three of the rooms. It's a four-bedroom. Three rooms didn't have power. So, we had to take the sheetrock off because the wire was up inside the wall. They didn't drop it underneath the home. I was like, "Oh, are you kidding me?" It's been one thing after another.
My daughter started the process at the end of 2022. She finally got to move in it last month. That was how long it took. We called for service because none of the doors would close, and service said they're six months out. They wouldn't close and lock because they shifted in transport, which I know stuff like that happens. There's a handyman guy around here who knew exactly what to do. So, he went in there and fixed all the doors as a favor to my daughter because he's her neighbor. So, now all the doors closed and locked. Everything's good.
When the guy came out to put it together, they shorted us all the supplies like the transitions for the floor and the ceiling. The rest of the plumbing to connect it wasn't there. So, we had to wait six weeks for them to ship us the parts we needed. It's been a horrible process. My daughter said she is so disappointed. I said, "Yeah. I'm kind of disappointed, too." If they had done it like they said, it would have been perfect, but it was nowhere even close to what they were saying was gonna happen.
In the beginning, we had it all set up to where when we bought the home, they were gonna have somebody come out and take care of the property, get it leveled and put the concrete in for the home to sit on, make sure everything is done, make sure the septic tank got installed, and make sure the electrical got installed. All of a sudden, when she got the home delivered and everything got ready to go, lo and behold, that wasn't included. What happened was, their salesman, Jeremy, was helping us at the start. Then about a year after we got things going, I was getting upset and said, "Well, I can go somewhere else and get this done." They said, "No, no, no." We gave them $25,000. They didn't wanna give us our money back. They wanted to finish it. So, about a year after we were into this, they fired Jeremy because he was promising people things they weren't getting. It wasn't just me. It was other people, too.
So then, Sam came on board and she got everything going to where we got the home. It was ordered and built. It was supposed to be delivered in March. It didn't get delivered until June. I talked to the people transporting it, and they said, "Yeah. Our job is to put it where you need it." But the driver said, "No. We're not doing that." They were supposed to back down. It's only a 150-yard road they had to back down, which is plenty of room where they can turn. It's out in the country. There was plenty of room for them to turn it and back it down. They pulled it straight in and just dropped one off in a field by the house and dropped the other one on the street in front of the house and just drove away.
They were in such a hurry, they left the transport plates on the mobile homes and they keep calling me saying, "We need our transport plates back." I said, "Then come get them." They want me to mail them. I said, "I'm not spending money for something you left here. It's not my responsibility.” It was the transport people that did it. It's been completely crazy. Everything that got done such as the plumbing underneath it, the septic tank, and the electrical being hooked up from the house to the pole, and all that was done by me. I did all of that because I checked with the county and they said, "Yeah. You can do it. But we have to have it inspected by a professional." I said, "Well, I've been remodeling things my whole life."
I put the plumbing in. I put the electrical in the trailer. I put the septic tank in the ground. I put the motor in the septic, did everything I was supposed to, and I passed all my inspections. Last month, they had to do a final walk-through to make sure everything worked. On the 16th, we did the final walk-through. The inspector gave me kudos and said, "You did a very good job on this. "I know it's been a while." It's the same inspector that had been coming out for two years. He said, "You finally got it. You did a good job. I'm gonna be filing your approval. You're good to go." He signed off on everything, and my daughter got to move in.
Sam jumped in and started doing what she was doing. If she wouldn't have jumped in, I wouldn't have bought it from them. She jumped in and said, "Look, this is what I'm gonna do." And she got it but then she didn't know Jeremy promised all this and she said, "Well, we're gonna have to add on to your mortgage for that." I asked how much it would be, and it was double what she was paying. I told her my daughter couldn't afford that. She lives in a small town. She makes $1,100 every two weeks. Her payment is only 800 a month because she owns the property. So I said, "$1,600 payment would kill her. We can't afford that."
She said, "Well, the only other option is you do it." I'm retired and I had a lot of money in savings. I went in my savings, and I did the plumbing, the electrical, and the septic tank. It was $18,000 to cover all that. They would add that on to her bill and charge her double. I don't understand how $18,000 would double her payment because if you borrow $18,000, the payment is only like $180 a month payback.
I just did it because my daughter was all upset. She was crying. She has two kids and it cost her to live where she was living. She had to pay for where she was living till the house was done. So, she was paying rent in another place where she was living and still trying to figure out how she was gonna do that. I live in Colorado and I'm in Illinois now to make sure everything's good till I go back.
My brother-in-law has property right by my daughter’s, and he's gonna go buy a home and I told him, "Let's look around. You're not buying it from the same people she did." I'm not gonna let him. I started looking around, and with Champion Homes, which is two hours away from here where they build them, we could have bought the same home there for half the price. They'd had it scheduled and done on time. They would have come out, put it on the property, and had it put together all for less than what she's paying on this one.

I was going for economy, so I couldn't expect it to be a superb quality trailer. However, the interior trim is coming down everywhere already. Some of the work is shoddy. There's a residue in the tub and it isn't something that I'm terribly concerned with, but it's unsightly. Also, we weren't able to get a title, and there was a legal action from wherever my mother was trying to get titled at with the city so we haven't been able to get titled. We’re having a miserable time.

Everybody at Home Nation was super nice and very helpful. We did our purchase all over the phone and it was easy. The process did not take long. It was a cash purchase and the home was already built. Right now, we're still waiting for permits and the unit has not been put in. It's taking a long time because they decided they needed an environmental consultant at the last minute. Then, we wanted to move the septic. So we've been at this since December.

We're sorry to hear about that trucking company. Please let us know if there's anything we can do to make it right!

I went down to Home Nation and told them what I wanted. I waited for a few months because I procrastinated. Then I called them up and told them I wanted the dishwasher with my trailer. I didn't tell them that before. But they said, “Okay.” I told them I’d call them when I was ready for it and they said, “Okay.” They delivered it fine. They were really nice. They were great people. All they did was back it in and drop it. I had my contractor put in the bricks. So far, so good. But when you turn on the kitchen sink, it leaks around the rim. So I need to tell them about that. Also, the trim around the windows is loose. I also thought I was supposed to get a screen door with this trailer.

Home Nation seems like a good company, but we had to plug in our own Jacuzzi tub. We didn't know how to get it to turn on. There are no instructions on anything. That's something we've never had before, and my son had to take the panel off and plug it in, but they didn't tell us that. He looked to see why it wasn't working and that was why it wasn't working. I have a screen door in my living room that has not been put on the house yet. One of the walls is short and light shines through it at night if you leave the stove light on for security. My son comes in late at night and I leave it on for him.
I asked them to put the deck up level with the door because I have a husband that could be in a wheelchair eventually and it's about two inches short of the door. He said, "We can't do that." I said, "Yes, you can. There's no law that says you can't do that." We have the hot water heater turned up all the way, as high as it'll go, and the bathtub does not heat up enough. I like steaming hot water when I take a bath. My husband has hip problems and ankle problems and he's got one titanium ankle and two titanium hips and he's going to be able to get the other ankle titanium too eventually and he's got his knees to work on. The thing is that it does not heat up like it should.
My husband doesn't really get any comfort, and neither do I. I've got a bad back. We're not spring chickens. Also, they didn't bother to tell us our heat detectors are not smoke detectors, and every time you turn on the stove or the oven or you boil water on the stove, it goes off. They're too high in the ceiling for me to reach. I am a short person. There are things that I don't understand why they're left like that. They tell me, "Well, take pictures and we'll deal with it." It's hard to do that when I work. There's their 1.6-gallon flush toilets. My son uses half a roll of toilet paper every time he goes, and the damn things won't flush right. His girlfriend got it unplugged the second time. The first time, I had to call a plumber.
The light switch in my bathroom goes vent, light, light. It's supposed to go light, light, vent. When you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and you need to flip on a light, trying to figure out which light you're gonna hit doesn't help. I have fallen and broken five ribs. So, I need to see where I'm going so I don't fall. They want me to take pictures of it. How do you take pictures of a light switch and try to explain to them that this is wrong? I plan to get a ramp up to the deck eventually, but there was no reason why they couldn't have raised it two inches and made it flat, so that he could just roll in there. I've seen other people in there with decks that are right straight with the thing.
The door on the front, for a long time, I couldn't get it to shut and lock. The plate that the locking mechanism goes into is not even there. They had cracks. There were cracks everywhere in that trailer and I had to have my son-in-law patch them. They told me I had to get somebody else to do it, but they also told me that they would take care of all that. I also can't get some of the windows up all the way. I'd love to open up the windows on the nice days, but I can't get them to raise up. I'm gonna have to get some WD-40 and squirt them. They didn't tell me if I could pull the inside glass part out to wash the outside of the windows.
I got a light switch and they're not normal light switches. I had a light switch that blew for some odd reason. I had trim around where the furnace sits. It's about an eighth of an inch and it was a little piece of wood and it wasn't tacked down all the way and my grandchildren found it and broke it. I'm not a happy camper completely. The hot water is what pisses me off the most. You turn on the sink and you wait till it gets warm, turn it off, and turn on the bathtub and it's a little bit warmer, but not much. The plumber that I had there to take care of the toilet that my son clogged said that when I turn the sink on, I'm just washing out the cold water out of the pipes. The high temperature is good for the dishwasher and the clothing, but it still sucks to take a bath in.
The home is nicely built. I can't hear anything outside. We had a tornado warning and I heard it but as far as car doors and people hollering up and down the street and dogs barking, I don't hear anything. So, that's good. I like the style of it overall but there are things there that they just flew over. There are nails where they put the drywall in and you can see the top of the nail and you're not supposed to do that. We also have a spackled ceiling with texture. It waves. A ceiling should be straight. They didn't come back, they didn't try to help me, and they didn't tell me what to do with the thing. A couple of times I called and I didn't get an answer and there were no callbacks. I know they're busy people, but this is a $120,000 trailer.
Another thing is when they put the air conditioner in, they changed the thermostat and it's not a very good thermostat. It's sitting on about 80 now and it's freezing cold in there. I still can't even figure out how to get the filter out. I've tried everything to get that filter out of there to change it and I can't. The cabinet doors in the bathroom are tilted. They're not lined up. On the countertops, the plastic they put on it instead of something solid is coming off already.
I had a big island put in it and some of the decorative pieces have fallen off. I also told them I wanted brown cherry cabinets and it took forever to get it put together. That's another thing that aggravated me because they kept saying, "Well, maybe next week, maybe next week." And when they said, "It's done," they showed me pictures of it and it was white cabinets. I do not like white. I have grandkids. I make messes myself. It took them another six to eight weeks to finally talk them into putting the brown cabinets in. Then the drawers are wonky on them. They were really nice and polite about everything. It's just that when it came to deliver it and getting it there and getting what I wanted, the rep swore down I put white on there and I know I didn't put white cabinets on there. I just don't like white on everything.

I bought from Home Nation and it was a little nerve-racking. Everything was done online and by phone. Their website was easy to navigate and the home was affordable. But when they delivered my home, it rained here for two days that they couldn't do the setup for two days. So far, there are some things that need to be addressed and they told me to make a list and take pictures to send to the company to let them know.

It was a smooth process with Home Nation. It was easy from start to finish - picking out the mobile home, making sure it was the right one for my mother, and doing the wiring process. The installation was a little more difficult though. We thought Home Nation was a one-stop shop but found out that we had to get another vendor to do the anchor. That was a process that we were not clear about. I thought it was already in the price then realized I gotta come up with a few more thousand dollars for it.

We weren't happy at all with Home Nation. It was a horrible experience. The trailer came in and the doors on it were damaged where it had hit the wind when coming down the road. There are several things. It looks like somebody dragged something across the vinyl floor in places where it put holes in the floor. We went to put the washing machine and dryer in. There was a floor joist running right in the middle of the dryer hole that they had cut. The hot water heater was a used one. It came out of another trailer. We had a professional there that worked on it and the bottom element was burned out. They say there was no way it could have been a brand new one due to the age of that element. There are a lot of issues. My wife got a three-page list. They came and did a couple of things, but they said they couldn't do anymore. So, we had to wind up hiring people to come in and finish everything.
The sales lady named Cathy was a good girl. I really enjoyed working with her. She was the one that talked it up like it was gonna be the best deal I ever had in my life. Instead, it was a horrible experience. I would never ever do that again. It took six and a half months to get them to come over to repair the door. Then when they got here, the people that were working for them, they said that Home Nation is a bad company. I had to put plastic over the doors to keep water to come in, and there are staples all in the side of the vinyl siding. We won't ever recommend anybody to buy a trailer through Home Nation. They don't stand behind anything.
We were trying to have our installers lined up for them to come in to put it in when they dropped the trailer. They told us six different days that the trailer was gonna be there and it never showed up. I had to pay them $300 a trip to come down to put that thing in. We paid 54 plus tax but by the time we had to fix everything on it, we could have bought one locally and it would have been the same price. We feel like we got a used trailer. The stove was new because it was all wrapped up in place. But everything else in that home seemed to be used, even the sinks. Overall, we won't ever go through that again. I'd rather pay double the price than have to deal with that.

Something I never thought I would ever do is buy something sight unseen. It was a little scary, but I'm happy with the way it turned out. The rep was reassuring. She knew what she was talking about so that helped a lot. She walked me through each step as well. However, for the 50,000 that it cost me to have the home built and installed, they hit me with taxes on it. It was from my IRA. I'm over 66, so I'm having a hell of a time. I was wondering if there's any way they could send me a statement. I've also got a couple issues that I need to have addressed and trying to get my contractor back here. It’s turning into a nightmare. Home Nation could be easier to get ahold of.

My experience with Home Nation was terrible. When the home was delivered, it had molding and paneling that had fallen off the walls. It had siding. It had fallen off the outside of the home. The siding to this day has not been fixed and it's been almost 11 months. There are still some molding that's not fixed. And there's a crack in the ceiling that they didn't fix too. Also, when the home was delivered and we turned the water on, the hoses were not connected properly to the faucets. And the water ran all over the floors.

I spoke to them on the phone six months prior to going there. Once I sat down, the first person that greeted me was Lauren and she was the one that helped me with the first purchase and the second. It went smooth. I told her what price range I was looking at. She informed me the price. I asked her, “What's a better price you can give me?” She told me, “This is the best, and these are the options.” Told me what colors. They gave me the same way when I bought my brand new house. They gave me all the options that were included in the house.
The communication is great. I could text Lauren on the side, “Hey, Lauren. Give me this information.” “All right. I will email it to you.” Once we gave the payment, it took three months. That was Home Nation's timetable from the house going on the land, and getting off and getting delivered. They held it out for a month because our land wasn't ready, and it was smooth. No additional cost.

Home Nation was really easy to work with. The one lady I worked with was the best out of everybody I talked to through there. She's on top of it. She follows up. She's still in contact with me. I might be purchasing another home through her. It was a breeze. Home Nation took care of us well. Upon delivery of the home, there were a few damaged items. I just had to reach out and send pictures. They replaced the damaged goods.

At first, I thought Home Nation was great, but now I think they totally suck. The rep was friendly and responded to questions, but on the negative part, he doesn't hold his word. Another thing is we ordered the home to come with a propane furnace. It came with a natural gas furnace, and it went out the first week that it was lit. I've called and emailed Home Nation. They told me to get a heating company out to see what was wrong with the furnace, to pay for it, and they would reimburse me. I've never been reimbursed. Now, they don't answer my phone calls or my messages.
The furnace had to be completely replaced and it was not covered under the warranty. We had to pay another six grand out of pocket for a new furnace. Home Nation said we should have known it wasn't hooked up right. They don't install houses, so we had to pay to have somebody else come and do it. It was a referral through them. Besides that, the propane company hooked up the furnace and there were no leaks. They didn't say any different either.
