Crescent Bank should be immediately shut down for their services & fake policies. This is possibly the WORST BANK! to finance with. Like some of you I was sold a dream & thoroughly LIED TO!! I purchased a vehicle from Jim Burke automotive two years ago in the wicked dumb City of BIRMINGHAM, AL (the worse & dumbest place on God's Earth) & I will admit I was younger than but still was aware of the pros cons of financing a car through a bank. Well my credit was not sufficient enough to get a decent APR on a loan so Crescent was the only one & the crooked salesman completely lied to me informing me I would be able to refinance with Crescent in a year to lower the payment & that they will work with me! Completely false.
Crescent bank will not only steal your money but they will criminally harass you & stock you & leave intimidating voicemails threatening to repo your vehicle & sure you if you're just 1 day late!! Then the interest just accumulates every day even in the grace period so your literally throwing money away just to keep the car nothing goes towards your principal this place is a SCAM.. this bank should inherited the name Crescent Mafia because that's all they are they pray on the less fortunate & poor & completely take advantage of them practicing Mafia tactics! Stay away from the crescent bank mafia family. You've been warned!!! I had to give my car up due to misinformation on their part & the car salesman they all sleep in the same bed together!! STAY AWAY FROM CRESCENT BANK MAFIA FAMILY. THIS IS NOTHING LESS THAN A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION.

How Does Gap Insurance work if your car is totaled? You file a collision claim with your insurer and find out that the actual cash value of your vehicle is only $19,200. This means after your $500 deductible is taken out, your car insurance company will pay out $18,700 to your lienholder. You still owe $23,500 on the car, so you're left with a “gap” of $4,800.Jun 24, 2011.
Crescent Bank & Trust is abusing my credit report. The car was sold at an auction by a mechanic (Crescent Bank has the mechanic contact information). This mechanic refused to take my insurance information. He sold me car and Crescent bank refuse to do anything about contacting the Geico insurance during that year to provide gap information. Now Crescent is still saying I owe them and abusing my credit report. The next step is taking it to a global level and having Crescent Bank shut down if they cannot handle this matter immediately. I know a few people who is experiencing this same situation. Will not disclose her name. She file bankruptcy and included debtor Crescent Bank and they are still abusing her credit report. This has got to stop!

I have had a car payment of $418 per month with this bank since 2012. I had to defer 3 payments back in 2013 as I was out of work. The car is now going to be paid off in July instead of April. Because of these deferred payments which were only late by 2 weeks to a month they are now demanding an extra $755 with the July payment or they will report me to the credit bureaus. Does anyone have any advice on how I should handle this?

Got a Auto Loan from 2009, on a 5 year loan. Paid off April 2014. Account showed a $0 up until Dec 6, 2017 appeared on my credit with a 10,000 past due original balance with a term of 1 month. LOL, but it was funny. Either someone is playing games with the company's account or someone is just that stupid and don't know what they are doing. I was floored. Common sense would say no one pays a auto loan for 8 years. 4 years having a $0 balance. BUYERS BEWARE...

I have a car loan here. I fell on some hard times and they told me right before my payment was almost a month late, that I could put the payment on the back of the loan. I had to fill out paperwork that they had to "mail". They sent it to the wrong address... On purpose? After I signed this paperwork and faxed back - to a number that didn't work - they went dark. Couldn't reach anyone and they tried to put a payment through on a day that was never discussed. To purposely overdraw my account. Or purposely make me default before I could get that paperwork in. I think they never filed that paperwork and repoed my car, knowing when I was out of town and switched it with another one. When I finally got ahold of someone, that person had no record of any calls I have made about this bank loan.
There is some serious shady stuff going on here. It may not be the bank, they may be selling info to a fraudulent company. Or their employees are fraudulent thieves. I have noticed my car being rummaged through, unauthorized payments trying to be made in my account, various other problems with my car insurance bills and accounts. Credit card accounts... The only people who know where my car is at are my employer and the bank. I think they have purposely told me I can have an extension and not filed the paperwork, so they can have access to my other accounts due to my loan being in default. I have changed my payment date, and extended 3 payments (2 due to the hurricane) And I think they are trying every other avenue to get that money, but still say I owe.
I'm starting to question why the dealership does business with them? This is really unsettling trying to figure out where the fraud is coming from and knowing that you are doing what you can to be an average member of society and survive, and you have to deal with shady business practices. Shame on them. I also think after reading these reviews, they are fraudulently trying to make you think you owe money. That is theft. If you have paid off your loan, and you know you don't owe anything, you need to report that number they are calling from. Oh. Also the IRS can't find any record of my loan, and my car is still registered to my old address. And anytime I try to make a payment, my loan number doesn't work. I also got a call saying I ran 250 tolls in one month? And my contract disappeared... From my home. I guess issue will hit the fan when I go to file my taxes.

I took a loan with Crescent Bank almost two years ago, the loan amount was 16000 dollars and after two years of payments, I currently owe 15,400 dollars. During my loan period thus far I have not missed a single payment, and was threatening to be late on one because I was fired from a job. I pay 400 dollars a month and the operator offered to defer a payment for me, had a form sent to me that I had to FAX back to them signed - no email here! I did find a fax machine and got it back to them, all good. Until 3 months later, when on my credit report they said that I missed a payment! I called them and the woman told me "just file a credit dispute and we will work it out and just take it off on our end." I did that, no response for June, did it again, no response in July, let it be because work was heavy in August and September... And then did it again as advised in November, and they finally updated my credit report saying that I had 5 missed payments!!
I don't even want this car or the loan anymore. My plan was to refinance after building credit, but with this loan, my credit went down 140 points lower than started even though I've made on time payments. Isn't this illegal?! I'm so sick to my stomach and really just wish there was a way to deal with this. I'm a guy in my 40s who is just trying to build credit to buy a house for my kids and this company is just screwing with me. There are more details about payment date requests as well, when my pay periods changed at work and I had faxed forms to them that were lost over 10 times and each representative has a different story.
I can't think about this anymore, I have to continue with my day, but don't, do not, for the love of anything worthy! Do. Not get a loan with this company! I plan to go very very public with this. Do not get a loan with this company if you think that they can renew or better your credit! I started with this loan with a credit rating of 535 and now it is DOWN to 460 after their false reports!!!

February 2013 I obtained an auto loan through this bank arranged by Dealer. First time I had applied for or asked for credit in over 25 years! No credit history and a NULL FICO score! Was approved by this bank at a high downpayment and high interest Rate. That is OK, I understand! I was told and understood I could make payments on-line directly to bank by check, debit card or credit card. First payment attempt resulted in they had my address, zip code and social security # entered wrong! After 14 phone conversations and sending 8 Faxed forms over 12 days finally resolved the situation. I was left feeling like they did not care!
Third payment attempt I found they now took on-line payments through a 3rd party payment company and the Bank had sent them the wrong address, zip code and social security # from the old data entry mistake. Once again after days of phone calls, accusations about MY integrity by Bank agents and threats of repossession the data entry errors were corrected and payment was correctly applied. Once again was left feeling like they did NOT care.
Each of these payments were made with my Master card. Bank issued credit card as were the next 40 Payments. Each month I received several calls from the bank sometimes 15-20 days prior to my payment due date asking if I was going to make my payment on time. Each month for 40 plus months!! Other than the 2 months where the Bank had data entry problems my payments were always paid at least 5 days before due date and usually 10 days before. Now here I am at payment #44 of 48 and once again they have changed their payment method!
Did they notify me that they were changing... NO! Problem with this is the new 3rd party payment no longer accepts credit cards for payment. Upon contacting Crescent Bank I was told by the representative that they had never accepted Credit Cards and repeatedly told me they had Not changed payment methods. When I asked the Bank Rep for a different method of payment she stated cash in person (impossible), Debit card, or Check by phone which were impossible as I am out of country on business and do not have access.
Upon stating this the Bank Rep stated that if the payment is not received by the due date I would be marked as delinquent and subject to repossession! Results are I am cutting my trip short by 2 days and returning home to pull pay-off balance for this loan from savings and paying it off early. I am cutting myself off from this Bank and I strongly advise anyone from using this bank for Loans or any other financial reason as I am sure they DO NOT care about the customer! Upon reading the many complaints on this site and looking over the Thousands of complaints on other sites of which many are similar to my experience I have become convinced they are a Predatory Lender and DO NOT care about the customer.

Over a 6 year loan every time I paid within the "grace " period I was penalized a late payment fee. Come time to pay the last payment. I was told I still owed 1200 more dollars. I about fainted. When asked about it they told me that I need to pay it or they will come get my car. It's criminal. Go elsewhere if you can.

Wow, where do I start? I was 23 years old (5 years ago on December 12th) when I obtained a loan from Crescent Bank & Trust. At the time, my credit was pretty poor from a few bad decisions as a teenager, as well as my credit being stolen. I did not know the correct steps to take to fight my credit theft and was left with a horrible credit. I had to have a car to get to and from work so I applied for a loan at a car dealership. Little did I know that the only bank that would take me is Crescent Bank & Trust. I was happy to even be able to obtain a loan and did not realize the extent of the theft and fraudulent events that would take place. After 5 years of payments and the feeling of joy and excitement to finally be done with my debt to Crescent Bank in December of 2017, I was informed that my payments will not be over for 4 more years and that I still have a balance of around 10,000!
I knew this could not be possible, and actually had no way of being legit because I had only borrowed $14,000 for the vehicle and made a down payment of $1,200 on the car 5 years ago! On top of this fact, my payment booklet specifically laid down each payment due date, the amount due, numbered in sequence until the balance was to 0 (Up on December 12th, 2017). The horrible part is that I had left my loan contract at my dad's house and he threw it away on accident so had no way of proving the truth. I have been stuck in this situation, making 31% interest rate payments on a $14,000 loan. I have already paid a total of $21,060 to Crescent Bank (which is more than I got the loan for) and do not know how to get out of this scam. If anyone can help me please let me know, because at this point I am stuck.
They promised me I could get my vehicle refinanced after 2 years of payments and when I asked them about it at the 2nd year, they told me that they did not do refinancing. (What?)... I have already caught them in SEVERAL lies, which they kept giving me different answers each time I catch them in the lie. They have messed up on SEVERAL of my payments, marking down that I had either paid late and adding a fee, or not marking down my payment AT ALL (I have never been late on any payments in 5 years). I am supposed to be done with my payments in December of 2017 and now they are telling me that I have a $10,000 balance left to pay!
I requested my original contract several times (which they promised to send each time) and they have still not sent it! Can companies get away with this? What can we do to fight it and to uncover the truth? Please help me! DO NOT GET A LOAN FROM THEM, THEY ARE SCAMMERS, FRAUDULENT, AND A PURE EVIL AND GREEDY COMPANY!

If you want to do business on a car loan this is not the place to come. LOOK at all of the bad reviews they have had from different customers. I called them in March to inform them that my mother had died, I had the vehicle and wanted to take over the notes, well mom was not behind so they came and repossessed it in the middle of the night. I called 911 thinking it was stolen only to be told that 11 Hour Towing had repossessed it per the bank. I called several times consulting with them about it then all of a sudden they became rude, and said "We can't talk to you anymore..."
The car was sold at an auction after I had obtained the attorney as they insisted out of $1500, they sold it and said it was human error that this occurred, "We forgot to tell the auction to hold it." It was Bologna from the beginning. Overall mom was closed to being finished paying for it... LO and behold it sold and I found it on the internet and bought it back from another dealer. They were ripping my mom off on the payments and it's been cut in half... to HELL WITH CRESCENT BANK. LET YOUR BUSINESS PLUMMET DOWN THE DRAIN!

We submitted an automobile retail installment contract to Crescent Bank, which they approved, with some stipulations. When we submitted their stipulations, and delivered the vehicle to the customer, when we contacted Crescent about funding us, they added more stipulations! I have been a new car dealer for 30 years - and have never experienced a bank adding more stipulations, on 3 separate occasions - after the original ones were met. They were clearly trying to back out of their approval. THE BANK ENDED UP SAYING 'WE HAVE DECIDED TO RESCIND OUR ORIGINAL APPROVAL.' This never happens, especially if all stips are met. It is unheard of adding more after the vehicle has been delivered to the customer. DEALERS BEWARE OF DEALING WITH THIS MOST DISHONEST BANK! In the end, we had to retrieve the vehicle from the customer, at great expense to us.

This is the absolute WORST company, ever. I got this loan when I was 23. 5 years and $24000 later, over 13k has gone to interest and only 11k to principal. This company does a daily compound interest. There were a few times where my $500 payment went completely to interest! Don't even think about going 5 days late. They'll call you 2-3 times a day asking for their money. I will give them that there were 2 times where I had to skip the month that they worked with me, but that's about the ONLY positive review I have for them. I was told that if I made my payments on time for 6 months, they'd refinance my loan. Well that never happened.
I've tried multiple times to tell them my last name is changed, that I'm no longer with the co-signer, etc, but nothing ever gets noted on your account ever. We finally sold the car April 28 (God forbid, 3 days after my due date). Anyways, there was some glitch at the dealership that the payment to Crescent hasn't gone through. I've told them literally every single day since that I've sold the car, and to take it up with the dealership.
I'm still getting threatening phone calls how they're going to repo it. Sorry, not in my possession anymore, take it up with the dealership. I even gave them the company I'm now financed through (finally got my credit to where I can go through a credit union) and they still call multiple times a day. I worked with a gentleman named Thomas who said if I made my payment when I said I would, that he would wipe the late fees from my account. That never happened ($15 any time you go over 10 days). They charge $5 just to pay online (same if you call and make the payment).
DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS. Seriously, choose any other company. These people are fraudulent, and will not stop at anything. 99% of the time you can't understand a word they say on the phone, and always sound completely irritated. I'd be irritated too if I worked for such a shady company! STAY AWAY FROM CRESCENT BANK!!! Would have given NEGATIVE stars if possible!!!

I was trying to purchase a car in the last month and I got approved by a Chevrolet Fred Beans dealership in Doylestown. I got approved for a loan, the bank happens to be Crescent Bank. It appears that I was missing just a few more paper work like a lease, two more references, and bank statements. They were very rude and falsifying inaccurate statements that was not given. Well the person I was associated with, which was Kat. (She was rude to me, my landlord and then try to flip the script as we were the ones being ungracefully rude to her.)
This happens to take place yesterday late afternoon. They didn't even give me 24 to 48 hours to give them the paperwork before they pulled my loan. Worse company I have ever dealt with. As if a person trying to buy a car is going to proceed with it without having a job. What I'm basically saying is if a person is working a 9 to 5 or 12 to 8 shift how do you expect them to give you all the documentation that you need in due time while at work trying to maintain and keep their job?? Crescent Bank is by far the worst I've ever encountered. I wouldn't even work there if the president of the United States paid me to.

But they needed their $ again. So the lady said she would push the payment back. Now I am paying $2 a day for their mess up. So I only had a year to pay this car off but now it's going to take another 3 yrs because of interest. Plus for years I paid them $9.98 fee for paying with a card. Everyone uses a bank card these days. Besides they make enough $ on interest.
Why should I have to pay so much fees when I was just making a payment. They are the rudest customer service I've ever talked to. When I first got sick I told them I couldn't make the payment. They told me to ask everyone for $10 so I can get my payment to them. My car was $9000.00 but I'm paying $30000.00 for it. That should be against the law. Yeah it's a high risk but that don't give them the right to rip people off or treat them like garbage. If there was a bus I would have them come and get this 10 yr old car. STAY AWAY.

In 2011, I purchased a new Nissan Versa for my wife who did not have any credit. I myself had just gone back to work after being unemployed for 18 months, so my credit score wasn't much better. However, after being convinced by the car salesman at Maroone Nissan in Pembroke Pines, FL that it was better to buy new than used, he steered me to Crescent Bank.
The loan had a super high interest rate of like +/- 15% and we had to put $2,000 down! I had to borrow the money from my mom! I should have walked away but I didn't. In the end, we would be paying more than $23,000 for a $16,000 car. In addition, we were told we had to get the GAP insurance (another $40 a month) because the interest was so high and it was a six year loan.
My wife and I subsequently separated, but she agreed that she would keep making the payments on the car and refinance when she could. I agreed. A couple of years passed, and in July 2015, I received a letter from Crescent Bank that the loan was in arrears. I immediately contacted the bank regarding their letter and to get additional information. I explained to them that I had only seen my wife a couple of times since we separated in January 2013, and I had lost contact with her and the car after her immigration case went south. When we separated, I gave my wife a notarized power of attorney with the assumption that she would refinance the car since she had established credit and the interest rate on the loan from Crescent Bank was extremely high. I just assumed she had done this, however, for whatever reason she apparently never did it.
I had extensive conversations regarding this situation with Crescent Bank, as well as sending them a detailed letter with all the available information I had on my wife and her whereabouts; I believed she was somewhere in Miami-Dade County, Florida; I even thought that the car might have been taken to Colombia where she was from. Since I had not seen the vehicle since October-November 2014, nor did I have any idea where the car or my wife were, I was concerned. I contacted all her friends, acquaintances, previous employer, but our separation was not amicable, and many of her friends do not speak English. I did an Intelius search and got an old address in Miramar, FL.
I asked Crescent Bank many times that if they found the vehicle to please pick it up and contact me and I would assume custody/responsibility for the payments. Now that my credit score was 650+ I had already talked with my credit union about a loan for +/- 5%. With less than $6,000 owed on a car worth $10k+, who wouldn't want it? I also contacted the Broward Sheriffs Office, the county of my residence, to see if filing a stolen car report would be practicable. I was told that since my wife had permission to drive the car the loan issue was a civil matter and they could not get involved.
Then, I receive a letter from Crescent Bank stating that they had repossessed the vehicle, and that if I wanted the car, I could travel to New Orleans to an auction and attempt to purchase it? They never called me, even though I had asked them many times to let me know if they found the car and they had all my numbers. I also received the letter after the date of the supposed auction. What a rip off, they sold it to one of their buddies at a rock bottom price and charged me what was owed. What kinds of business practices are these? Next, I get a credit alert that Crescent Bank had reported a repossession on my credit; to wit my credit score dropped 100+ points.
Adding insult to injury, I then get served with a Summons in October 2016 stating that Crescent Bank was suing me for the unpaid balance on the vehicle. I humbly decided to go to mediation as did not have the resources to afford an attorney, and I knew that I went to court, I would be overwhelmed with their lawyers - a small fish in a big pond. In the end, I freely agreed to pay $100 a month for 80 months to settle this debt with Crescent Bank. I just didn't see any other option.
In the end, Crescent Bank will have received $32,000 on a car they financed $14,000 on. What an unbelievable scam. Even after all the extra work on my part helping them find the car, and their failure to contact me after they had the car - even though I asked them repeatedly, seven years later, I am still paying Crescent Bank for a car that I should have been able to buy for what was owed. Shame on Crescent Bank and shame on the people who work for a company like this.

So when they contacted me I simply told them these very things and that I would not be able to make any payments and they can come and get the car because with all the problems going on with it. I'm hitchhiking to places I need to go, it's not worth it. So the guy ask me the mileage on the car and when I told him he said to me "well its not worth much and therefore it's not worth us coming get" and they are constantly calling me.
My situation has not changed and their car is in my yard and they can come and retrieve it anytime they want to. It's not that I don't want to pay them. I'm in no position to do so at this time and them calling me everyday is not going to change the fact that my job is ending and I don't have the money to pay them at this time. I'm in the process of trying to find a way to consolidate my bills so that I can start paying them to get rid of these people. The moral of this story is everything that looks good and sounds good isn't always good for you and dealing with CB&T is one of them.

I have a car financed through CB&T. There are times I have been late due to injuries and missing work but I have never been threatened by them for repossession of my car. Also my car note fell at the wrong time of the month and I was late. I would make arrangements with them to take my car note out of my checking account and they did. I always got an e-mail to confirm when they would take my payment. I even pay my loan online and it only cost 2.50 to pay it that way. I am now totally disabled and they were patient with me while I waited for my disability payments started. We are all at this bank for the same reason. Low credit scores.

My car payment is due in the third of each month. It is late on the fifteenth. This institution begins daily calls on the fifth. When I pay over the phone they assess a $9.99 fee. Later I found out it was a collection fee for the agent. One month out of three years I was actually late and the gentleman told me he had to add a $40 finders fee. Like a skip trace fee because I was late. I refused but then the next statement it was added to my amount due.
When they call and I answer it is a one sided monologue of them blaming and shaming me. One person even threatened to begin garnishment proceedings because I answered the phone on the 10th of the month and where I had ignored all of the other 5 days of Calls, sometimes three times a day. I had very good credit, average income, and a cosigner who made twice my car note and I'm paying 20% interest! I've been trying to make a offer to pay the remainder of my loan and they refuse to take anything less than the full amount. Every time I call they definitely have a nasty attitude before you even tell them your reason for calling.

I paid my car off and they sent my title to the wrong address, so I called them back to inform them that it went to the wrong person. All of the customer service people including a lady by the name of Sheila very rude to me. I called in several times to change my address and they told me that it would be coming to my new address within two weeks and as of today I still have not received it... so l called back again and spoke with another customer service person who told me that I need to go and pay for a duplicate title since it did not come back to them... I told her that is not what was said to me a month ago. This company is very horrible and I would never deal with them again.
I did speak with a manager by the name of Amy and the way she spoke to me on the phone today I would not speak to a dog that way, so I just hung the phone up... The manager Amy was so loud to me and showed no comfort in assisting me. If I was a undercover boss they would all be fired. This bank is absolutely crooked. They repossessed my vehicle after a 25 day late pay! When I asked them how that was possible the representative told me it was because I hadn't "communicated" with them that the payment would be late. 25 days! They had the wrong telephone # for me, a # that was 11 years old... not the # listed on my car loan application, and said they called and left messages demanding payment. The repossession resulted in close to $700 in recovery fees, $200 to get my vehicle back, and $25/day storage fees. Unexpected expenses. I let them keep the vehicle and used the money towards a new down payment through my credit union. I will never recommend this bank to anyone. The representatives are not knowledgeable, unprofessional, and insensitive to their clients. The entire experience left me momentarily stressed out and extremely pissed off!

They told me Crescent Bank was a great bank and I would have no problems. LIES! In 2013 and 2014 I never missed a payment up until February when I was fired from my job. I did a deferment on the loan, they said everything was taken care of. Found a new job started payment once again. I was told I have until the 18th since my car is due on the 11th for it to be not considered late. It was a Sunday morning at 8 am and they were calling me harassing me already.
Then one time I was short $20 and they harassed my parents phone and my friend's phone. Called my Dad 15 times within a 30 minute period. They do what is called Spoof Call. The employees there are very rude. I was crying the one day because I didn't know what I was going to do and the woman sighed on the phone and was smacking her gum in my ear like some ghetto fabulous chick. NOT PROFESSIONAL. If they can not get the right people for their customer service maybe the managers should do it for them. Unfortunately, I still have this loan and due to my poor credit I can not find someone to refinance it. In 3 years I have paid more on my car than what it is worth. When my car is paid off I will never get another car loan from them.

Well, I paid the car in full on 4/22/2016, and I was told it would be 45 days before I receive my title. Then another agent told me days later it will be 10 days from the date my last payment was received. I have never been late, I have always paid more than my monthly obligations and I have been having problems with cooperation since I have been dealing with this bank. I have even had times where my funds was spit and I don't know why, but per the agent I written a letter asking that which I never indicated that. Then, when I asked that they send me the documents that I supposedly sent them stating that my fund are split to mail it to me, I never received the documents.
Then I was told I must have written two separate checks to total to my payment amount which that also never happened. I check my credit report monthly with all three bureaus being that I am a victim of fraud. When I looked at what my balance was I started a investigation. Crescent Bank then replied to the dispute stating that the balance that is appearing on my credit report is correct. They did not update my credit report monthly like they are suppose to and as of now my current balance is showing $10,353.00 which I am disputing as of today. I do not know what else to do, but I know some type of legal actions need to be taken against this bank immediately. I am a loyal customer who always paid on time and never been late.

Crescent Bank and Trust by all means was not the best for a car loan. However if you have bad, horrible, or ** credit, they give you a shot. The interest rate is horrendous but at least you have a car. People complain that they call you when you're late on your payment but to fix that, don't be late on your payment. It's that simple.
I finance a 2010 Chevy Impala LTZ and was paying a 19.4% interest rate. Yes it was high and my payments were higher, but my credit score was less than a 600 and this is the only bank that would finance me. After 12 months of paying on-time and fixing things on my credit report, I was able to refinance my car through another establishment at a better interest rate.
Would I recommend people to go to Crescent Bank and Trust first? Absolutely not. But if you have poor bad, horrible, ** credit and you are trying to fix it, like everyone else who is trying to fix their credit, you have to start at the bottom. That means paying high interest rates, paying on-time, and you have to bite the bullet. If you make your payments on-time for one year, I guarantee you'll be able to refinance your car through another establishment at a lower interest rate as long as you're not messing up your credit anywhere else.
I would give this company 4 stars, maybe even five because for what I needed them for, they were there. I needed a stepping stone to establish good credit and they gave me an opportunity to do it. If you have poor credit, you're not going to get an interest rate of 5%. People with great credit can barely get an interest rate of 5% nowadays. I'll end with this - if you have bad credit and you're looking to take your credit in the right direction, no matter where you go you're going to have to pay high interest rates. Crescent Bank and Trust gave me a shot and I appreciate that. To everyone who says they call if you're late on your payment, simple fix is to not be late. Keep your word. If someone owed me money and didn't pay on the day they said they would pay, I would call them too.

I'm on a fixed income that comes in after the due date so I was late paying in July, and now it's August and as of today, I'm 12 days late and they repoed my car. At first I thought it was stolen because according to our police, the law is that they have to be notified of towed and repoed vehicles... there's no record.
I spoke with my acct rep (named Jeff) yesterday because I'm in the hospital with pneumonia and I told him my daughter was paying that day and the payment was mailed already via money. He promised he'd note the account and never said anything about the repo. He did violate my privacy though by asking what I was in the hospital for and said, "oh so you got sick after your cruise???" He asked for my daughter's number and I told him I didn't know it and was in the hospital.
Now I have no idea where the car is. No notification of the repo... and the days are adding up. I can't afford to pay the charges I'm seeing noted in all these comments. This is ridiculous. I'm sick, I can't take no more. This is crazy. I'm in the hospital trying to breath and heal and this is killing me. Now they've extended my hospital stay because my pressure is up. BUT FOR REAL, 12 DAYS LATE??? I need help and have no idea where to turn. I'm getting sicker and sicker. Why did the dealer recommend these abusers??? Why??? My credit is already bad so if I can't afford to get the car back, they can keep it!!?? You can't get blood from a stone!!! I can't add the verified receipt info because all my papers are in the car they repoed!!!

I have no idea if there is any logically explanation behind this. Also the interest rate is horrible and it's front loading interest. What that means is that no matter when you pay your car off you will pay all of the interest. Horrible right. I decided to refinance my car through my credit union and I will still pay more than the car is worth but I guess that's the price you pay when your credit is horrible. OK, here is my story... While I was married, my wife neglected to make payments on my vehicle without notifying me which I was notified by the bank that I was put into collections. I tried to quickly rectify the situation as soon as I was made aware. CB&T offered to accept my payment, but not remove me from collections with the repossession company. At this time, I was not aware of my rights as I am now... They asked for a balance in total at the time of the call which I was obviously not able to pay. I asked them, "Is there NO WAY to get caught up so I can be removed from collections?" and the response was "No". So I asked, "So if I make a payment to you, it doesn't matter how much, other than the whole balance, my vehicle is going to be repossessed regardless?" The lady responded, "Yes", and then proceeded to ask me how much I was going to pay today.
Well, needless to say, I asked her for the balance and she responded, about $5000.00. (Don't remember the exact number, only that it was $5000 something...) I responded, "I'm not paying you anything if my vehicle is already going to be repossessed and you're not willing to work with me on getting my payment caught up." She said irately, "Um sir, THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS!!!" I then responded, "That is how it works, and you have a LOT to learn about conducting business - treating your customers this way!" She then started to scream at me so I said, "SUE ME" and hung up the phone. They called my phone all day harassing me, but I ignored their calls. Well the day came that the repo guy showed up to my house to collect the vehicle. He never showed me his credentials, never gave me any paperwork, and took my plate with him. I handed him the key and he left.
The bank supposedly placed the vehicle in auction and sold it. I never received any paperwork regarding the auction so I could buy it back if I wanted to, and no bill of sale from the auction, nor did I receive a delinquency balance for what I owed vs what the vehicle sold for. Now what you have to understand is, I owned this vehicle prior to dealing with these people. I was leaving for the military and my wife needed a car, but she claimed she couldn't drive a standard, which is what this vehicle was, so I traded it for a car which she now owns. Either one or two days after the trade-in, I asked for a courtesy sale to buy it back because they only gave me $4,500 for it, which I just paid $10,000 because what they gave me was too little in my opinion.
Well anyway, they resold the vehicle back to me at a rate of 33% interest... and the only reason I ever agreed to it was because the military was supposed to reduce the interest cap to 6% for service members, which they never did, which of course is not CB&T's fault but nonetheless... I knew I was going to receive calls about any balance owed so I waited for the call. Well, that day came soon after... I answered the phone and they said that I owed about $7000 and I told them that they were crazy and asked for the bill of sale for the vehicle and any and all paperwork related so that I could see the numbers. All she said was "We'll get you the paperwork, but I need you to pay your balance..." I told her that I wasn't paying her anything until she produced paperwork with the exact amounts owed. She exclaimed, "I don't have that paperwork, I am calling to take your payment."
So I told her that she already had the vehicle, I gave it up voluntarily, and I am waiting on the paperwork before I pay out any money that I owe. I bought the vehicle in Apr 2008 and this was Approximately Aug 2010 and had been making timely payments up to this point in which my wife allowed my vehicle to go 3 months delinquent. I was working so much, I rarely slept so, we had the money, I just assumed she was paying the note as usual. I tried to make amends but the bank wasnt having it. Anyway, rather than deal with the constant harassment, I let them take the vehicle, even though it hurt my credit. Well here we are 7 years later and I am still being harassed by them. I was a co-signer on this loan with my ex being the primary and they attempted to sue both of us and get the full amount from both!
Along with all of this, the many times that I spoke with them, they gave me fluctuating numbers and told me things like, If I settled today, I could buy out the loan for $1,100, one day, and $4,000 another day. EACH AND EVERY TIME I SPOKE WITH THEM, I asked for documentation which they NEVER PROVIDED!!!! It's the same as getting a blank bill in the mail and letting them decide on what you are expected to pay today! No way!!! Not without documentation!!! I never received any documentation whatsoever until I was served by a sheriffs deputy advising me about the court date. Not only that, but their attorney met with me in the hall after the case was over and told me that it wasn't required to issue papers to me. Well, I looked up this information and found that is completely inaccurate information.
All in all, the civil court case ended up being almost $8,000.00, $1400 for the balance on the vehicle, $1,200 for the attorney fees and the rest was added interest and penalties. I am in the process of appealing the judgement against me which will cost an additional $550 but, in comparison to the $8,000 they claim I owe, that's a fair deal that I am willing to risk paying extra!!! I am not looking to be exonerated from paying the balance, (which I believe to be grossly inaccurate being that I saw the vehicle at the dealership I rebought it at with a window sticker price of $9997, and an employee driving it around town running errands... But it supposedly went to auction) I am only looking to pay what was owed on the balance. The fees were added because I refused to make payments on it being I hadn't received any further paperwork after the repossession.
This company is a predatory lender and in most cases, all you end up paying most of the time is strictly interest if you pay the minimum amount owed. The longer you owe, the more compounded interest that can be accrued, especially if you ever have a late payment with a penalty added because that money can draw interest against your balance as well. All in all, the vehicle that I bought was originally $4500, and with interest added over time, the balance was shown as $16,000 according to the paperwork from the dealer at the time of the signing. And goes to show just how much I paid out being that I only owed a $1,400 principal left on the vehicle. Anyone with a situation related to unjust fees, interest, etc I strongly urge you to research any and all class action lawsuits against this establishment and add your name to the list. And by all means... KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!!!

I called and they informed me that my loan had been transferred and stated that I should have received a letter and new payment booklet. I contacted CB&T to inquire on making a payment, only to be told it's some ridiculously high fee to make a payment by phone. I also inquired why they mailed me a letter on 2/13 if my payment was due 2/20 knowing there's a delay in mail delivery. They had my phone number and could have contacted me. Fast forward a year, and I'm ready to pay my car off and received no information whatsoever from them for the payoff amount. I made what I thought was the final payment on the due date. Two weeks later I received a letter stating my payment was late. When I contacted them, they stated I only made a partial payment since more was due than what I thought was the final payment. I inquired as to why I was never contacted prior to final payment to notify me the amount was or would be different and they said I was supposed to contact them. Being in Texas our winters are unpredictable and we has a lot of ice/snow days. If I don't work I don't get paid, asked again for extension. I made arrangements with them and was keeping my end. I called to make a payment according to the arrangements only to be told I couldn't make a payment and they wanted more money. WHO doesn't take money owed.
I made arrangements with the supervisor to pay the money by the end of May. Now they call all the time, threatening me with repo. Guess what a lot of my conversations were never recorded only what they wanted to make note of. You call them, you do the do the right thing and threaten, embarrass and lie. When though I'm doing what they asked I'm expecting my car to be gone every morning when I wake up. No should live that way. HORRIBLE DISHONEST PEOPLE.

They wanted more money. 7 days to having car having car pmt caught up (remember this was their arrangement) and woke up today with car. Now I get it. They make arrangements, then jack up the pmt so they can take the car. So sad for good customers like me.

They claim it is almost always a day or two later even though it is within the grace period they still call multiple times a day. The woman that talks to you over the phone are very nasty and unprofessional. They have called and called many times for payment already posted to the account. They will repo your vehicle, then sue you on top of it to get money. This bank is full of **. But at the end of the day, Louisiana is one of the poorest states in the US. The only employment for people is Crescent Bank. Sad part of it is that it’s the minorities that’s doing this stuff. Cuz every time I speak to a woman on the phone its some ** lady running her mouth. So all you gotta get is hang up the phone and block their number.
If they want the car, leave it out front for them to sent a tow truck to pick it up. Cuz once you fall behind with this bank, they're coming for it anyway. So you’re damned if you do, and damned if you don’t. Just let them have it. Just check the better business bureau, no one has anything positive to say about this bank. That itself should let you further know what this bank is about. They tried to sue me but I shut that ** down ASAP! Just contact a lawyer and have them put them in their place.
Long story short, if you need looking to purchase a car. DO NOT FINANCE THROUGH CRESCENT BANK & TRUST!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE! THEY WILL GET YOU CAUGHT UP ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. And to the black woman working for Crescent Bank & Trust. Y'all ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Y’all make us black people look like **. Cuz all these complaint on this website is geared towards you guys cuz y’all know y’all are the majority working there and y’all screwing with people. But what goes around comes around. At the end of the day, I'm from Jersey so we are your more fortunate than those customer service reps at Crescent Bank & Trust. The same car y’all came and took, I got one right back. It took forever to get my payment book so I decided to make my payment online which cost me like 10 dollars. Anyway this summer I had to put a stop payment on a check because it was lost. Milbank got the check number wrong and stopped payment on my car payment. I didn't know this until Crescent started losing up my phone after it was returned.
When I figured out what was going on and tried to explain the situation the people I talked were so rude and intimidating. They were threatening to repossess my car even though I had the payment and it was just a misunderstanding. Then when I had to defer a payment last month due to an emergency, apparently the person I talked to about deferment just completely didn't do it because then when I didn't make the payment they began calling not just me but my family and friends I used as references which was so embarrassing. Are their interest rates asinine? Yes. Are their business practices strict and annoying? Yes. Did they provide you a loan when nobody else would? YES! I was in a rough situation with credit from when I was a teenager that I never fixed. My old car finally died and I needed a new one. Crescent Bank was my only option. Did I like 20% interest? Heck no, but it was better than walking 7 miles to the bus stop. The thing people need to keep in mind is if you pay your loan, you will have no problems. They've done you a favor -- you're so high risk, it's almost stupid of them to take you on as a risk.
As I'm reading the complaints, almost EVERY single one starts with "well I was laid off/sick/overspent on Christmas/etc. and couldn't pay my installment". If you don't pay, you're going to have problems, no matter what bank it is. I've just paid off my loan, and I can say that CB&T was just fine for me. I paid on time, never had issues. I was able to refinance my car with carfinance.com after about 18 months of paying on time with CB&T.

I have never felt more robbed by a company in my entire life. I have never seen a company that has changed their rules and representatives that handle your account more often within weeks and days of each other. The unprofessionalism, the rudeness, the harassment has pushed my stress level is so high I have to visit a doctor. I have a great job and make good money. Back when I was married I had excellent credit and interest rates as low as 3%. Credit cards available at hand. But then you get divorced. I drained out my 401(k) in attorney fees for my divorce, $15,000. I ended up losing my home and had to file bankruptcy and here I am starting all over.
This is my second car I have purchased since my divorce. But I had to trade in my other vehicle due to high mileage. So again taking the hit of being at 22% interest rates $535 a month for a 2008 Toyota. I was able to skip a payment due to hardship which they put at the end of my loan... Then months later my car needed major repairs, New axle wheel bearings and brakes, etc. I was told they would allow me to skip one more. Well that was not the case. I made a payment that I thought was The next scheduled payment. The very next day I get a call and the nightmare begins...
Now I'm being told by a new representative that is now handling my account that my extension was not approved. What??? Had to get a supervisor and explain that's not what I was told. Then was reassured that everything was fixed. I made another scheduled payment and I should not receive any more calls. I always made my payments by the end of the month. I knew I would get hit with a late payment fee but they were never able to adjust my due date to make things easier. So make another payment and again the next day and another new representative calls and I repeat everything all over... When I asked to speak to the supervisor I have been dealing with I get told no and they passed me to the new supervisor now handling my account. Which again I get some nasty rude ghetto talking representative that has no clue what's going on with my account and they start demanding additional payments.
I have always return calls to this company within 30 minutes and have always contacted them whenever there were issues with my car or advise my next scheduled payment.. I never disappeared or played hide and seek with them. They call me when I'm at work. I have even had to answer the phone at my desk while on the phone with my customer just so they can see that I'm at work because they will call your references in a minute. I can understand if I never returned a call in days but you don't even give me a chance to wake up or step away from my desk to call you back and you're already calling my references which this is happened twice ..which again I was reassured that that would never happen.
So comes to find out my account is reflecting over 50 days late each month... Now here is the kicker. Not only am I paying 22% and additional late fee that shows on your payment book... but after all these months now I'm being told I'm being charged $11 in addition a day for each day you're late. Wtf... Where is this writing... Nowhere on my paperwork nor any representative which I have dealt with over 10 of them and 5 supervisors have ever said this to me. So basically every payment I have made has only paid these daily late fees.
I have made 15 payments to this company and only $1000 of it went towards my loan if that... So I am at square one. I am so upset and have no clue what to do. I am not garbage. I don't live on welfare. I'm a single mom with two kids holding a 4 bedroom home. There are days and times where extenuating circumstances happen. There have been days I don't have gas to barely get to work when I drive 50 miles a day. I thought I bought a reliable vehicle with low mileage but I was unprepared for all these things to happen that fast with this car. I have offered in the past to make partial payments to get caught up but was told they cannot do that. Well that has changed now too. So for the next four paychecks I'm paying in addition to get my account caught up then when it's caught up now they can change my due date. It's just pure bs. It's unfair and should be illegal. Is there anything I can do?

Before I tell you my story, understand that I am an armed forces combat veteran. I am both physically and mentally disabled due to my experiences from my deployments. However, I have never willingly let this slow me down in any way. Now, I will tell you my experience with CB&T. I am currently being financed for a '13 Kia Soul through Crescent Bank & Trust. Unfortunately, at the time my credit score was horrible. But I needed a vehicle for work. I have always made my payments in a timely manner, with the exception of a late payment earlier this year due to finances getting jumbled up one month. I took care of the late payment plus the next month's payment as soon as I got paid on the same day. 1 month later, I received a call saying that I was late again for the previous month's payment, at which point I started asking questions as to why I was being charged for yet another late payment when I took care of it already.
According to CB&T, someone must have made an error in their system, at which point they apologized and told me they were rectifying the problem. Fast-forward to August of this year. I received a call around the 18th-20th informing me that I was 2 months behind in my payments, and in order to prevent my car from being repossessed, I needed to come up with roughly $850 to bring my account current. I pretty much had a conniption fit at this point because, like I stated before, I made sure I was caught up on my payments. Plus, why, months after this happened, am I getting a call out of the blue saying I owe missing payments, and why am I getting this call at the point when you're attempting to repo my car? This gentleman replies by telling me that they've been attempting to contact me for weeks trying to resolve this issue, at which point I told the guy that absolutely nobody has contacted me at either my house number or my cell number because there would've been a record of it on my caller IDs.
Fast-forward yet again to today Sept. 12, 2014. I am now attempting to get some financial assistance from the Veterans Service Commission out by me since I am a combat veteran out of OEF/OIF. For roughly the past 3 weeks, I have been fighting with CB&T to get the correct paperwork faxed to my rep through the VSC, which so far has entailed the wrong paperwork being sent or no paperwork being sent. All the meanwhile the bank assures me that they are sending the correct paperwork. At this point, my car is up for repossession, and due to CB&T's negligence, I now have to start hiding my car to prevent it from being taken from me.
I am disabled physically and mentally due to my combat deployment, which makes it practically impossible to find any employment. And now add to that being harassed daily by this bank, I'm being stressed to the point that I am getting sick on a daily basis because of all the stress these people are causing me. I'm not asking for much here, just some respect from these people, and someone actually doing their job. At this point, I am so frustrated with how CB&T is running their business, and the fact that they are allowed to continue running their business like this, that I'm not entirely sure anything can be done to resolve the matter.
Personally, I think they should be forced to pay the car off for me for the amount of stress they have caused me, or at the very least, bring my payments up to date so that neither my family or I have to endure this treatment any longer.
It's a shame that I can go to war for my country, but when I need the help, I am forced to endure treatment like this. As for a review, angry can't begin to tell you how ** these people have treated my family and I, and I don't understand how the law would allow a predatory lender like this to remain in business. I will be contacting the attorney heading the class action lawsuit against CB&T to see what further action can be taken, as I suggest anyone else that has had or is currently having similar problems with them. Good luck to you all, and God bless!

I only went to crescent bank and trust only because the auto loan they offered was less than what other banks were offering me. I didn't want a loan more than 10k. They gave me a loan for about 7k for 3 yrs. I live in Florida and I first was sending payments via mail a week in advance to Louisiana to have my payments on time. I called the bank wondering why hasn't the check cleared, was told they didn't receive it yet. (To send something to London takes a week, not to Louisiana. The post office even confirmed it takes 3 DAYS.) I ask the representative what other options do I have to avoid paying fees that their online payments and moneygrams have. She said they have a postdated p.o. box so I could send a postdated check there and that way on my due date, the check would've already been there.
NEVER have I heard a bank do that and this was very inaccurate information that the bank cashed the check early and withdrew the account. I fought them for almost a week to finally credit, get them to pay me back the 2 overdraft fees that was caused by cashing the check early. Calling this bank for information is ridiculous. You must provide your name, address, home and cell number, social security number, job title, address, phone number, and more questions on the car before they can even begin on telling you anything, and this is for your protection. Well I told everyone my information that's in hearing distance of me being on the phone. So much for protecting my information.
This isn't even the worst part besides the constant calling and unprofessional staff. When it came down to paying off the account, I was told by 2 different representatives one amount, but on the day of me actually making the payment the amount jumped up to almost 200 dollars more. I asked why so much. They said it a past due amount. I explained I talked to 2 others and they confirmed the amount included everything. She said well I'm telling you now the correct amount now. I said well since I'm paying it off, can you guys as a courtesy charge that off the account because I wasn't told that in the first place, and all I have is the other amount, and they said no. I spoke to a manager who told me the courtesy was giving me the money in the first place, because you didn't have enough money to pay for the car. I was told the correct amount now, and oh well you still owe the amount and won't get your title until you do.
If you want to be treated in the most rude and nasty way, come to this bank. I learned a hard lesson on not to get another auto loan especially through this bank. I will stick to paying in cash or even ride the bus than to be bothered with a bank like this.

Obviously, if your options include this Bank, you and I know your credit is less than worthy!! So, with that of course a high interest rate was expected!! My plan was to pay them on time all the time and work on my credit then refinance. I stuck to my plan, never missed a payment and always paid on time..I never had an issue with harassment or nasty customer service. I was scared at first since I researched the company after I drove off the lot (I never do this, but didn't have a choice)!! My initial thoughts were I sold my soul to the devil!!
However, I kept my end of the bargain and did learn a lesson from my irresponsible spending habits as a young adult and guess what, I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS... Even the refi process was hassle free. I wish everyone would be fair with businesses. I wish everyone would take responsibility for their own actions... Let's get off the Victim mentality and do something about it. Let your word mean something. If you need a vehicle and have less than perfect credit, this is your credit builder. Once you achieve a higher credit score - shop around and make your moves... Educate yourself and follow through. Good Luck everyone!! PS I used MoneyGram to pay my car note -always kept a record and for $10 it was instant - something to think about if timeliness is an issue...

I purchased my vehicle in 2012 and was told that in 6 months I could refinance to get lower payments. This was not the case. After that timeframe they told me that they don't refinance and that I would continue to pay the high note that I have. I moved nine months ago for my job and it caused a hardship. I can say that I've had issues with getting the note paid by the day, but it does get paid. They call not only me but my friends and family several times a day leaving nasty threats that I must call.
We've told them numerous times that I work during the day and can't answer the phone, but it doesn't stop them from calling over 10 times in a day. I was here for about a month and my car note was 26 days late; a tow truck showed up and took my car. To get it back, I not only had to pay the note, but I had to pay two notes, tow fees, then get to pick up the car and had to pay another storage fee and all. It was horrible. They then turned around and called me 10 days later that I was due.
In December I decided that I was going to let the car go and just start over. I couldn't take the stress any longer. I took my tags off and said come get it. Three weeks later, my friend in my home state calls and said that someone was there to get the car. They were 800 miles away. I was sitting in snow and they showed up elsewhere. Anyway, another month goes by and I decided that since it was still in my drive that I would pay the notes that were due and just start looking to trade it. They told me that my pay off is the same as the amount due. They want me to trade and still pay all the interest added. During this time, one of them call and not left a message for me, but it picks up the conversation between her and the person next to her, saying that "my white ** was probably too embarrassed to answer the phone."
I called the company, filed a complaint and told them I would contact an attorney for racial slurs, harassment and so forth. She had also told me when I asked if I could just make two double payments and gave my checking information with the payment amounts. She said no; they were rejected. This month, was planning on making my payment that was due and out of nowhere the check that she said was rejected is trying to clear my account. I called and talked to a supervisor who tells me that it didn't matter that they couldn't stop the payment. I informed them I was stopping payment and that they would now wait to get the payment as it froze my account and I had to wait for funds to be available. Instead of an apology, they are now calling every day, three or four times a day not only me but my friends, asking for payment.
I am paying today, but the fact that there is no sense of anything other than harassment is beyond approach of any business. Anyone that needs help with getting finance, it's better to walk them to deal with this company. I am still perusing the legal side, but the constant stress of dealing with this company has me willing to do anything but pay them.

I understand things do happen! We all get behind on bills or just don't have the money at the moment to pay the bill and maybe need a extra few days but that's why most banks give a grace period. Mostly every post I see on here is saying Crescent Bank is a bad bank because they want their money! Like I always say, what if you owned a business and lent out money to 100 people, out of those 100 people only 10 paid you back but the other 90 called saying they didn't have the money or they are sick or lost their job??? Are you going to say, "Oh that's okay! Pay whenever!" Nope you are going to try to get that money back! Why? Because if you lend out money and no one pays and you take everyone's sob stories then you will go out of business!
Crescent Bank deals with us who have screwed every other bank over! So do they trust us? Nope! If you lent a friend 20 dollars 3 times and he didn't pay you back would you lend him $20 again? Problem not. This bank knows we have a rep for not paying our bills so of course they are going to call if their payment isn't received! Do they charge ridiculous fees? Yes but again that's our fault! Had we paid our bills we wouldn't need a subprime lender! Fact of the matter is you got a loan from this bank because no other bank would touch you! You can either prove you are turning over a new leaf and pay your payments on time every time. That way maybe next loan you get can be with a better bank or you can default with this bank too and never get a loan again.
All I see on here is people who expect to not pay bills and get away with it. And no I don't work for them! I have a loan through them and pay my car payment and no one at that bank harasses me. We all start off as deadbeats in their eyes because we don't pay our bills! You can either prove them right that you are a deadbeat or prove them wrong that you have in fact changed and want better credit and can pay your bills. Stop crying on here how the bank calls wanting their money!!! Um yes! Of course they do!!!

I purchased a P.T. Cruiser 05 in 2012, which was financed through another company, who sold my contract to this sorry excuse of a business. A year later 2013 to the date, the car started to have problems. Timing belt broke after getting that fixed which cost me $489.00 for the repair. 3 months later in October the transmission is gone. 4 days later I lost my job. I called the company to inform them of the situation & for them to come & get the car. They told me they would come & get the car because of the mileage & the mechanical problems. Now when I purchased this car the mileage was 99,000 & now the mileage is 116,000. So I wanted see if my payments could be reduced to $200 a month.
I was told yes & that I had to send (fax) a copy of my separation notice, the estimate for the repair and they would have no problem helping since I have never been late. Faxed everything, called to see if they had received & was told no, faxed it 2 more times one person said no the other said yes. Now the manager of my account said I didn't send it in early enough, but no time frame was given & anyway I faxed the day after we talked each time. Then C begins to tell me that they do not refinance & that I would have to still make the payments. I asked about having a payment put at the end & was told I would still have to a payment. Told them I could only afford to pay 1/2 $176. That's fine, he said. They got that payment & told me I would still need to make the other 1/2 for the so-called extension.
Out of work for 4 months, make a payment when I can. Right now I am a month behind & they call me EVERYDAY TWICE A DAY. Sometimes when I answer they don't respond & all I hear is typing and background convo. They asked the same question each time they call or you call them. Get nasty, argue with & sometimes screams. Threaten to take further action but will not come & get the car. Call you a liar. I made a Western Union payment 2 day service. They called me 4 times saying they haven't received it. They said they called Western Union & was told a payment was not made.
I called Western Union & was told the payment was there & would be available @4:46pm which makes it 48 hours. I can't understand if I talked to Jim on Monday why is someone calling me on Tuesday & days after? They say they have the RIGHT to call everyday until a payment is made. This company is a nightmare! I want to seek representation because I know they have to be breaking some type of law. Also this car has 67 history entries.

They will call me to tell me I have a payment due. After I tell them I am ahead on my payments, they apologize only for someone else to call me. I mostly ignore the call and when I do, they will run a credit report to make sure my information is correct making my score go down. When you call to speak to someone, they have to ask you 101 questions to only transfer you to someone else to ask you the same damn questions over again.

They had the car repossessed stating it was a new loan and they could take the car back. They should have charged me a $25 late fee. Instead I had to pay to get the car out of the pound and pay a lot of fees totaling over $2100. This bank is a joke and they call everyone and tell them your business - so unprofessional, and the CSRs are rude. You also have to give all of the same information to different people. At first things were well and after 2 yrs I tried to get information of how much my pay off was and most times they would not give me the information, call this number or that number, or because your payment was late we can't give you the information. Then one morning while getting my children ready for school, one by one my neighbors knocked at my door with a name and a number for me to call. It was Crescent Bank. They had somehow contacted neighbors that I didn't even know their names. Results - well let's just say that never happened again. Bought a new vehicle in 2008, it was for 66 months. The payments were no problem as I put a large down payment on it. My problem with them is the hoops you have to jump thru to make a phone payment or ask them a question in general, they give you the third degree asking about 20 questions that they say is relevant to the loan. This is not true cause after 2 times I refused to answer any questions they just put you on hold a little longer. I was late 1 time in 66 months and paid the late fee, however I did use the grace period a lot of times, not knowing if I did more interest would accrue, so I was shocked to learn my final payment was $200.00 more than my regular payment all because they said I was using the grace period during the life of the loan. My payment was due on the 6th and late on the 16th, it only exceeded the 16th once, but the other 65 times it was paid between the 1st and 16th so $200.00 for using the grace period is just b/s fees in my opinion. It seems this company will screw you every chance they get. I am glad this car is paid off and will never use them again.

The rest was financed through Crescent Bank and Trust. I receive my Disability check once a month and never on the same date. This bank started calling me one day after payment was due right from the first. A few of the things they wanted me to do was: 1) Borrow the money till my check came in, 2) Post date a check, 3) Give them payment over the phone which adds on more charges. I was recently in the emergency room for breathing problems and received a call from them. The person on the line wanted me to call my bank to stop payment on a lost check in the mail and give them a payment over the phone. When I ask if I could call them back after I got out of the ER, they were insistent that I call my bank. I will never deal with this bank again. I purchased a car in May 2012 from Sonny's of Shelby, NC. The car was financed through Sunray Financial in Hickory, NC but I could walk into Sonny's and make my car payment. In August of 2013, I was informed that Sonny's would be closing and that Crescent Bank and Trust would be taking over my account. That's when the problems started. Crescent Bank harassed me stating I was one payment behind and wanted me to make this payment ASAP because it could affect my credit score. Since I purchased this vehicle, I have never missed a payment. I now have my payment history to prove it.
But anyway, my vehicle was equipped with a tracking system which sounds an alarm to remind you when your payment is due and if your payment is not made within 24 hours, the vehicle will shut down. In order to prevent your vehicle shutting down, you need a passcode to input into the system, which you normally get when you make your payment. I called Crescent Bank on 12/31/2013 to make my payment for December which was due on the 30th. I was informed that one was available in the department for me to speak with so I wouldn't be able to make my payment.
Mind you this is New Year's Eve so they would be closed the next day which was New Year's Day, so I would have to wait and make my payment on January 2, 2014. I called in to make my payment on January 2, and was told the department I needed to speak with was not available, but she could take my payment. After making the payment, I told the Rep I needed a passcode to keep my vehicle from shutting down. Her response to that was "What is a passcode?" I explained to her what it was and she told me to hold on. She came back to the phone and told me that she would send an email to the department I needed in regards to the passcode and that someone would call me back.
I explained to her that my car may shut down at 5:00 so I needed to have someone call me back ASAP. No one has called me back yet and I have called Crescent Bank 8-10 times between Jan 2-3 and keep getting the same response. There is no one available in the department you need to speak with. My car shut down on my daughter yesterday 45 minutes away from home and now I can't get a passcode to restart it. Today is Friday and if I don't get a passcode before 5:00, I will be without a car all weekend. I have already missed two days of work due to this and my daughter had to miss work today because this is our only means of transportation.
Why would you take over accounts if you can meet the consumer needs once they make a payment? Ever since I had to make my first payment to Crescent Bank in September, I have always had trouble getting a passcode. I have been told that they were sending someone out to remove the passcode system from the vehicles, this has not happened. I was also told that they were giving passcodes valid for ninety days, this is not true either. I spoke to a rep last week and she said they couldn't even get passcodes anymore. If that is true, then what am I to do? I could understand if I my payment had not been made, but like I said I have never missed a payment since I purchased this vehicle.

Well I have lost my job and I called Crescent bank to make them aware of my situation. I told them that I would like to have them put November and December payments on the back end of my loan and that I would now like to have my account debited anymore because I was not working.
I also did not want to accrue any fees associated with my bank as far as overdraft fees. Well they said that they would notate my account and that I was eligible to have my two payments put on the back end of m loan since I have not been late. They also said that I was still responsible for the interest on my account so I would have to pay $365.00 to put the payments on the back. I told them if I could pay the $365.00 I would be able to make my car payment of $313.00. Well even though they said that they would not debit my account and send me another payment booklet they debited my account anyway.
So I am pi**** off because they have caused my account to be in overdraft even thought they said they would not do it. So you cannot believe what they tell you cause they lie all the time. I am trying to get my loan transferred ASAP. Get on board and lets get this lawsuit started.

I receive a call every month from female reps about my account. I tell the reps my intended time frame on when I am going to send my payment by money order (including late fees) AND I call to tell when I have actually dropped the payment in the mailbox to head their way. I called to ask for the bank to send me a statement of my car note so I can have an agency help me out to pay them and I needed it by Wednesday morning (it was Monday morning). They told me it would take 24 to receive the fax. I asked if they could email it. They said no but they could only send me a payment history printout and not a statement.
I give them two fax numbers, 24 hours roll by, no fax. 48 hours roll by and still no fax. I go to the website, make an account to check my account and print the due amount sheet for the agency. I called and asked them about the missing fax. The female rep says their fax machine was down and that there was a different department that handles those types of request. I get to the agency take care of the business. I get the call saying your fax has made it - AFTER THE APPOINTMENT. So this last time I called and spoke with a male rep. I told him I have sent my past due amount in by mail (including late fee) AND my next payment [(which will be on time) WITH NO LATE FEE. He had the audacity to tell me that my payment was unacceptable because I was 21 days late on my last payment. So I said, "Excuse me"!! Then asked, "So are you saying you are going to refuse my payments?" He said, "I am saying it is unacceptable for you to send your payment almost a month late."
I said, "Are you even reading your notes and comments about my recent change in employment and income or even looking at my account history?" Then before he could get more cocky I said, "I asked you all to send me a fax of my payment history and the female rep told me it takes 24 hours to send that and I still didn't get it and its been over 48 hours and you are going to tell me my payments is unacceptable... Let me speak to your supervisor, please!" Then someone got on the phone saying they were a supervisor and the phone hung up. Do you think they called me back??? HELL NO!! I wasn't working so I prepaid for 8 months in advance and changed my due date in person at the downtown branch. 3 weeks later, I had a repossession man at my door. I called daily to point out their mistake, that I had prepaid. 2 weeks later, it was the same thing. This happened twice a month for months. 3 months later, the money I gave them has been applied to fees and fines for money I ALREADY gave them and now I owe.
This CANNOT be legal and there has to be some recourse for this. I did the right thing and paid my bill, IN ADVANCE. I ended up losing the car because they refused to admit their mistakes and reverse ANY fees. I am seeking counsel, but beware... DO NOT SIGN AN ARBITRATION AGREEMENT. My daughter's car was repossessed by CB&T because she was behind in her payments. We contacted CB&T and spoke with Sarah and Jamie, paid almost $1,600 and were told they would fax us information that needed to be completed. We went to a UPS store and waited and waited for the fax, called them back and they said it was sent but they would send again. I waited and waited again, called back again, and on and on and on. We finally discovered that they were trying to fax the information to my cell phone. I called them again and they again tried to fax to my cell phone. We finally got them to use the right fax number, then filled out the paperwork, provided copies of everything they asked for, and tried to fax back. First fax number, we got a message that said the number was disconnected. Second fax number, we got their phone greeting, tried again and got someone's personal voicemail. We tried again and got a communication error.
We called again to speak with Jamie, my daughter's account rep, who gave us an email address to scan and send the paperwork to. We asked Jamie to call us if they did not get the email or if there were any problems with the paperwork. Jamie then told us to call back at 4:00 to check on the status of everything. When we called back at 4:00, we were told by Sarah, who said she was Jamie's supervisor, that Jamie had left, and didn't we realize that they were on Eastern time and it was 5:00 there? Well, no, we didn't. Sarah then said they had never gotten the emailed information, told us we weren't Jamie's only account and we shouldn't expect her to get back with us, etc. Sarah then said she couldn't talk to me about the account anymore because my daughter was not there (funny, I had been talking to both her and Jamie all day about the account). I conferenced my daughter in. Sarah told us there was nothing we could do and we just needed to keep trying the fax. All this time, my daughter is without her car and we have paid everything they said we owed, including repo fees.
When I asked Sarah for the name of the company president and the corporate headquarter's number, she refused to give me the name and said that I had called the corporate headquarters. She would not give me a direct line number to corporate, and would not give me the name of any of the officers of the bank. I was finally transferred to Danielle, who gave me her email address and told me to scan and email the documents to her. Of course, she never received them, although when I scanned them, I also emailed them to myself and I received them just fine. I then tried to forward the email I got off the scanned documents, which of course they again never received. My daughter was then told there was nothing else they could do and we'd have to keep trying the fax. Again, my daughter has no transportation and the car is sitting in an impound lot that charges a daily fee.
I finally got a confirmation page from the fax, so we called again to make sure they got it. This is over four hours of work, 16 calls on my cell phone, plus calls from my work phone, house phone, and my daughter's fiancé’s cell phone. We got probably the only bright spot in that whole company, a rep named Megan who confirmed for us that the fax was received. Megan also told us that they needed a copy of our insurance Declaration's Page, not the insurance card. It makes sense. But every time we talked to Sarah and Jamie and told them we were sending a copy of the insurance card, we were told that was what they needed. Megan also told us that they only have two fax lines and that emails from outside the company take a very long time to get through. What a way to run a business! We have to call them again in the morning and let our account rep, Jamie, know that receipt of all documents was confirmed and that we were told it would only take an hour to review the docs, then a few hours in the repo department, and we should be able to get the car tomorrow. I have no doubt, however, that when we call Jamie, the story will be different.
Also, my daughter was told that if she did not have the payment and paperwork by Friday, the car would be sent to auction. They are now denying that they ever said that, but I heard the conversation myself and that is exactly what they said. When Sarah tried to deny it and said that they recorded every conversation, I told her to go ahead and pull the recordings so we could listen to them. Of course, that has not happened. Also, my daughter made a payment a few months ago, and then they called her fiancé the next day and told him they were behind one payment and they were going to pick up the car. When he told them that my daughter had made the payment, they said, "Oh, are both of you on the same account? We thought this was two different cars." My daughter got herself in this position, but nobody deserves to go through this garbage for over four hours. If you are currently dealing with Crescent Bank & Trust, you have my deepest sympathy. If you are thinking about dealing with Crescent Bank & Trust, run away and don't look back.

I'm a grown woman and when someone yells at me because they are miserable working at this company so they take it out on customers, I don't tolerate that so I yell right back. Then I'm told I don't need to yell or use profanity. These people aren't properly trained and most likely don't have a secondary education or even a GED. Cory **, go ** somewhere. I saw this ad as I was looking up Crescent Bank and thought it was quite ironic. I would love to be a part to the class action law suit against CB&T! I was on disability for two months, and my payments had never been late (have still never been over 30 days); and when I tried to make arrangements for my payment, they started threatening me and second voicing me with multiple supervisors. It was really awful and demoralizing, not to mention illegal. I want out of my loan desperately!
Research the scope of your case. Visit free legal websites, blogs or support groups related to your lawsuit. Hire an experienced attorney specializing in class action lawsuits or the area of law related to the issue in your lawsuit. For example, if you are suing an employer for injuries sustained at work or discrimination, you will need an attorney who handles employment or labor law. In addition, there are lawyers specializing in defective manufacturing, product liability and securities. Many attorneys work on class action lawsuits on a contingency basis, taking a percentage of the final settlement to recoup their fees.
Discuss with your attorney if your lawsuit has the potential of attracting other plaintiffs. If so, your attorney will work with partners and paralegals to find other potential plaintiffs. Law firms handling large class action lawsuits may encourage you to contact local media and your congressional representatives and government agencies to publicize your case. File your complaint and a motion for class certification. To gain a successful ruling, you must prove to the court that you have a significant number of plaintiffs with similar experiences and all making the same allegations. Your attorney must handle motions, pleadings, depositions and discovery for your lawsuit.
Send notices to all potential plaintiffs of the class action suit. You (and your attorney) are responsible for doing this in a timely manner. The defendants must provide any names and addresses you request. Ask your legal team to publish your notices in national publications like The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal so you can reach more potential plaintiffs. Give your attorney time to prepare your case for trial. Often, class actions are settled before ever reaching trial.

We have been trying to resolve this issue since August of 2012 when I was first informed by Kim ** that my loan had matured. She insisted that I pay over $2,000 immediately or I could sign a new contract for 6 months. I questioned what I owed and she told me it was all interest and the principal was paid off. I thought the amount was incorrect, so I disputed it (and sent an email stating the same to the email she gave me) and also thought a contract for 6 months for my interest just didn't sound right to me.
I am unemployed and have been for the last three years, so I asked her for a complete accounting for the last 3 years from December 2009 until August 2012 - I specifically asked for that time because I knew I was completely current in December 09/Jan. 10. I never received anything from her (I never received anything from Crescent Bank in trust via US Mail or email in the entire years I have been under contract with you despite asking repeatedly for some accounting). I then spoke to her again in late August and asked again for the accounting for my loan and she said she would turn it over to her supervisor and would get back to me when she had an answer.
In October, I received a hand addressed, hand delivered note to contact Ms. ** at Crescent bank and trust. My wife called her that day, and the next day and the next day and the day after that for 3 weeks consistently leaving messages until a call was finally returned to us in late October. I then again explained everything I had dealt with and again asked if you could take a payment immediately and was told, "No, you have to pay the entire amount in full now." I disputed the amount and I again asked to see some form of accounting from Dec. 09/Jan. 10 to the current date and was told she would bring it to her supervisor and look into it and get back to me.
In January, I finally got Mr. ** contact info and immediately contacted him and again explained everything and disputed the amount owed and requested the payment history, which I finally received on January 21st and immediately called Mr. ** at the direct # he gave me. I left a message because I had questions about discrepancies on the account and again, there was no return call.
Then on February 5th, I received a very threatening letter about the balance and decided to look at our credit and I find you have reported me delinquent for 150 days, and I have been consistently and constantly trying to resolve this through your chain of command. I have made several attempts to make payments, to which you refuse and you are piling interest fees on top of late fees and charging that interest as well. I have my back up against a wall, as I cannot get in touch with anyone to resolve this issue; you just keep passing the buck to the next guy as my account racks up more fees and late penalties which seems very wrong to me. I have been at this for months and have gotten nowhere, which seems is what you want to happen and keep racking up more charges.
I am passing all this information on to the credit bureau as I am still disputing the amount you say I owe. I will pay the correct amount once it is determined. I am insisting that all the negative reporting for the last 6 months be removed immediately after this account is settled. After reading the hundreds of stories like mine on the internet, I have obtained an attorney to review our file in detail.
I will also be forwarding this to the FDIC, the Attorney General in Louisiana, Virginia and any other states allowed, the Better Business Bureau and all media outlets. I feel this is a wrongdoing when an individual who has been unemployed for over 3 years due to the economic state of the country and all the financial challenges and the person is making every effort to make payments and honor the agreement and receiving the runaround from an Institution that clearly does not care. That is disturbing and should be publicized, so that no other person goes through these instances.
On 02/05/2013, I spoke with Ms. **. When I told her about every rep not accepting a payment, she actually said, "There are ways around that. You could have sent us the payment anyway," after every rep told me they would not accept my payment! If a rep told me that, I would have sent the payment! Lord, help me! On 02/06/2013, I spoke with Royce ** and he advised me that the address given to me by Ms. ** was, in fact, the wrong address that I sent a certified, registered copy of the previous version of this letter to, which she insisted had to be mailed to that specific address.
Lastly in light of your refusal to accept any payments from me, I have in fact then fulfilled my legal obligation to pay you as you would not accept payment at any of the 6 or 7 times I offered to make a payment. Again, I insist you remove any and all negative items, comments or remarks on any of our credit reports.

I purchased a car with a sub prime loan through Crescent Bank and Trust. After several months, I asked why my balance and interest was so high. The friendly service rep, Theva, told me that I had been a payment behind from the onset of the loan. I told her that I had sent the payment early, because I had been through a divorce and did not have great credit and was trying to rebuild. I also wondered why no one had told me after almost a year? Interest had accrued astronomically and calls were constant. Since then, I have been trying to get verification of all payments. My payments would be deducted from my credit union account. The credit union has since merged and my account was closed. I am threatened w/ repossession when I am 30 days past due. I do not believe that they would let me pay a note two months behind on a new loan without calling or writing.

I read all these complaints and there is no legitimate reason why you're complaining when if a company is attempting to contact you in regards to debt; it's your responsibility to meet your financial obligations. You can't think you can ride around in these automobiles for free. What's the difference in the bank you pay your car payment to and the light company or your rent man? Let me tell you this it's not until you've been an employee of Crescent Bank & Trust that you'll have a real reason to complain. There are so many legalities wrong with this company it's ridiculous and if you consumers were smart enough, you would've had a class action law suit against them a long time ago.
Crescent Bank is a sub-primary lending financial institution that does what they want to do when they want to do it to capitalize their dollars. All of the members of senior management are racist, they don't speak and they don't take responsibility for wrongful doings that's caused by the company, but quick to fire you if they find something wrong that you've done. They are over-charging consumers in interest, late fees and penalties. It's not going to be until one of you consumers stands up for yourself that it's going to be caught. If you owe Crescent Bank, call 1-866-208-8288; ask to speak with a member of senior management. Tell them you're going to hire an attorney and you might get your car for free. As a consumer, if you don't know anything about credit or has not worked in this industry, you're naive and blind to how companies like CB&T is getting over on you while they continue to get rich.
CB&T does not hold responsibility of any system glitches. As an employee, you're a crash dummy. It's not until a mistake happens and you get penalized for it that they know not to allow it to happen again but will not compensate you for the company’s wrong doings. As an employee, this company issued a goal that you have to maintain and they do everything in their might and power for you not to be successful. The only reason they continue to do this is because the employees will not challenge them. Well here goes the challenge, it's on!
Crescent Bank is based out of LA. However, it has a sister company in Virginia named Crescent Recovery that 90% of the company work Crescent Bank & Trust loans as of 1/1/13. Crescent Recovery is no longer, they merged with Crescent Bank & Trust and I'm quite sure it was because Delma ** could no longer handle the lawsuits she was being faced with by consumers and smart enough employees to stand up against this company. On too many occasions, this company has not paid the employees’ bonus because of a software/system problem or because not one person is on the same page as others, the managers don't know.
When you become an assistant collections manager, you're not trained properly; they stick you out there to teach yourself or to just flat out learn from your mistakes. How fair is this to the regular employees that are actually calling the customers, collecting the payments, and negotiating with consumers on how to remedy their financial problems? How is that the employee’s fault? This company has the ability of moving accounts around as they please but will not take responsibility of their multi-million dollar system that no one knows how to operate. It's hard to do some work when the system crashes every day at that same time of day, which is most likely consumers get from reps, "Our systems are down, your rep will have to call you and follow-up on your concern when the system is back up and running."
By that time, the new incoming calls are overwhelming and your queue (100+) accounts has to be turned before you go home, if not you're going to be written up! Again, anything not to pay you because if you're on a write-up for anything and you make your goal, you did get paid! The only thing this company is designed to do is get over! It was also designed for the bank to gain more interest off the customers. Customers receive late fees that they shouldn't be receiving. An example is a customer has been outside of the grace period 4 times and has been assessed $67.00 in late charges. If the customer gets back on track with monthly payments without paying late fees, the next on time payment, Crescent will take the $67.00, apply it to the fees which leaves the customer’s car payment $67.00 short.
Accounts are not reviewed until after they have come out the grace period which is 11 days for most accounts; that means the customer has gained 11 days of interest on top of that, another late fee. Then CB&T, if they catch the error, has to submit a reverse/reapply form to a supervisor. That sits an additional 2 days before the posting department fixes the error. That means that this bank has gained 13-14 days of additional money. They do not refund any of this money back to the customer and stays rich. It's up to the representative to waive the new late fee if not, that increases the late fee balance and this same thing will happen again, and again, and again each month until the customer included the additional money to cover the fees. This is illegal! They had an "investigation case" on some employees that were entering fake/false checks on customers’ accounts so they could hit goal.
The case must be still under investigation because the same people are still employed with the company. As a matter of fact, the main person behind the scandal got promoted to collections manager, ha! Granted she was black, there was no investigation and the account got shuffled around to other reps’ queues to band aid the wrongful doing. Most recent, they suspended a supervisor with no pay (she was also a part of the entering in fake/false check scandal) for reversing and reapplying a payment that was misapplied (a legit reversal) by the bank because the account remained delinquent and it should've been current, but the misapplied payment was caught several months later. Who cares when you catch it as long as it’s caught so our customers are treated fairly? No, the bank wants to keep the money because the more accounts that are reversed and reapplied, the more money is deducted from the bank profits.
How can a customer that makes a car payment with no special instructions to apply to anything else be at fault? If these bank customers pay as early as a day before the due date, the funds are going to be applied to late fees/miscellaneous fees until further investigations. This is the smallest bank you could ever work for to have so many members of senior management yet still has no organization. You could walk in this office, ask 10 people 1 question and you'll get 10 different answers. This is ** and they need to be shut down.

Okay, here is the situation. I filed BK7 in March of 2011 and it was discharged in June 2011. At the time, I was working in a department at my current job that made more money and so I reaffirmed my $17,000 car loan (that was 23% might I add). Well, fast forward to June of this year. I have had to take a pay cut to the tune of $1.16/hour due to my transferring to a different department due to family health obligations. With this being said, I can no longer afford the $400/month payments that I had a year ago.
Although I got the 2008 Chevy Aveo from a car dealership in my town, a few months later the loan was sold to Crescent Bank & Trust (who by the way is still reporting the car loan as IIB). I have made my payments on time for the last two years and they will not work with me. I have two extensions left that I can take and they will not allow me to take them so that I can catch up on the payments. I asked about modifying the car loan and got the runaround. First, I was told that I couldn't do as such because I had not been paying on the loan with them for a sufficient amount of time. I was able to prove them wrong with this by pulling up my BK7 documents through PACER and reading to them exactly when my loan was sold to them and how long I had been making payments with them. Well after that, I was asked if the loan was modified, would I be able to make the payments? I said yes thinking they were going to help me. Well, as of two weeks ago, I do not qualify for a modification because I am so far behind in payments.
Fast forward to August 28, 2012, my car was repossessed at 11:19pm. I had not heard or been able to reach Crescent Bank in previous days due to Hurricane Issac. Anyway, I got a call the same day from them offering a redemption if I pay the $1,955 (including the $355 repo fee) by Sept. 9th, 2012. When I talked with the redemption specialist about the fact that I had set up a payment arrangement in order to make partial payments weekly, I was told that they do not accept partial payments at all! So that means that the representative (Kafayat **) that I had been talking to all along was lying about the partial payments being sufficient!

Of course, while I’m letting them know what’s going on, the reasons why I was making proper arrangements, they were interrogating everything I said and treated me like a criminal. On top of it, they call and call the day after your payment is not there, even though there is a 10 day period until a late charge is processed. They call and call and talk over you to the point you cannot get a word in edge wise. They need to learn how to treat people. Sad, sad company people fall on hard times.

On April 18, at 9:30 pm, there was a knock at my door. Standing there were 2 guys saying they had an order to take my truck. I stood there with my mouth open. Crescent Bank had just taken over my loan because First State Bank’s auto division went out of business. First State Bank had my loan for over 3 1/2 yrs. When I asked why the repo guy could not say, all he did was tell me he had to take my truck and it was typically because of non-payment. I had proof of my payments, but he did not want to see them and took my truck! I called the bank in the morning and was greeted with nothing but rudeness and was told that their system was down and they could not check my account! I called an hour later and got the same thing! This went on for a full day! When I finally was able to speak to someone, they insisted I did not pay my March payment.
Meanwhile, I contacted the credit union who sends out my payments each month for me and pulled a 13-month history of payments, including 2 full payments in the month of November to First State Bank and every payment to Crescent Bank since they took over the loan in December of 2011. I faxed them the payment receipt as did an attorney I had called to assist me with this, since I was getting nowhere on my own and my truck was in some repo lot! When they saw proof of the March payment, they then changed it to I missed my April payment. Again, proof of that payment was shown and happened to have been cashed the day they took my truck! That story then changed to I owed them a $98.00 payment. It blossomed from there with story after story as to why they felt they had the right to take my truck.
I had then been advised by my attorney to call the bank on April 20 and make a payment of $98 that they said I owed the cost of the fee to release my truck and I would be given my truck. I called and spoke to Tanisha ** who not only was rude, but also demanded I pay my April payment because they say they didn't get it, the $98 and the fee to release the truck from the repo lot! Meanwhile, my attorney had already spoken to people there and the agreement was made and proof was sent that I paid my April payment. I did not get my truck back until April 27 after contacting and involving the institution of finance who oversees banks and insisting that someone please call the bank and find out what the hell is going on!
Crescent Bank & Trust needs to be shut down or they need to investigate their staff for embezzlement because someone is making money off of us! I just recently called to get my pay off on the truck, thinking it was around $13,000 because I have been paying on it for 4 years at $556/month - that's over $26,000 and they are telling me my balance is still over $20,000! I am hoping for satisfaction with the attorney I met; otherwise, I wish we could file a class action suit against this bank because they are terrible and someone is making money! I am hoping for satisfaction for this inconvenience and embarrassment.

Their new thing however that started a few months ago was to call my parents. I had called Felisha and told her to quit calling my elderly parents and she told me that she could do what she wanted.
In September 2010, I moved and the money grimed them a partial payment with my new address and phone number and a message attached stating that. Well, Felisha called my parents 4 times. I called her and told her to quit calling my parents and she again told me that she could do what she wanted. One of the times she called them and spoke to my mother, she asks her if I wanted to keep my car which is a violation of the law. I called and spoke to Maria and she spoke to Felisha who denied knowing they were my parents. She was lying as usual even though my mother told her that she was my mother and I had told her. I told Maria she was lying. Maria said that she wouldn’t call them again. If she didn’t know they were my parents, then she is just asking strangers if I want my car.
Well, I was going to pay the October car payment on November 5, 2010 and November payment at the end of the month which is moving and got behind but on Thursday, the repossession man called and told me that he had an order dated from October 19, 2010 to pick up my car even though I spoke to Felisha on November 4, 2010 about paying the October payment on November 5, 2010. I have health issues that are being aggravated by all this constant stress and harassment.
I work and go to school but will have no car in 2 days. I agreed to let him come and get it. My health and peace of mind is more important than dealing with this shady bank that doesn’t seem to have anyone regulating it. I also find it very interesting that they have never contacted the co-signer on my loan about the payment. My ex-boyfriend is the co-signer. How can it be legal to treat one person one-way and another person another way? Isn’t that some form of discrimination?

I have a car loan with Crescent Bank and I fell onto hard times. I worked with my old Acct. Exec. Bill ** and was able to come current with my payments last year and have been current. I did a lower modification in March 2010 with Chassidy (new acct. exec) and she faxed me the forms to lower my payments from $442 to $317 per month and she has debited monies from my bank account every month.
Well, she is no longer at the company and I received a call from a lady name Debra (new acct. exec) in Sept. 2010 and she told me that I was late (30 days) and I needed to make a payment of $442.00. I told her what I was paying and how much I was paying monthly and she then stated that the previous acct exec Chassidy "didn't know what she was doing". Well this whole tim, Crescent Bank has been reporting 30 days/60days "lates" on my credit report. I have reached out to the collection Mgr (Vince *******) boss and left voice mail advising of this trouble.
Mr. ***** called me and stated that they would remove 3 months of late fees being that it wasn't my fault and that the modification wasn't done correctly. And technically I am not late it's how it shows up in their system (not my problem). All of these months has passed and my credit score went from bad to worse. Crescent Bank called me everyday for almost 2 months (I have phone records to prove it) harassing me and me wanting them to come and take back this car.
Here is a company that have people working for them and they don't do nothing but ** people and their credit. I have asked Mr. Vince what can they do about my credit report and he stated nothing. This is not fair; if it's easy to put a negative on your credit then they should be able to rectify their mess. The reason :lates"were put on my credit per Vince is that the system was showing the modification amount of $317.00 was a partial payment of the $442.This is crazy. I have the paperwork that I faxed in March showing my new amount of $317. If they have a glitch in their system, they need to fix it and I want my credit to be fixed by Crescent Bank & Trust. Lastly, I requested Mr. ***** to send me paperwork that they have credited me the late fees and I have yet to receive it to this day. They did a new modification on 10/29 and my new amt is $323.18. I want my credit corrected!

We had purchased a '93 Mercury Mountaineer. Our loan was with Crescent Bank and Trust out of New Orleans La. We always sent our payment on time via mail. The bank does not dispute that but they had our car repossessed anyway. On account of the Katrina hurricane damage, our payment was late. They demanded we pay them balance owed and tow charges totaling several thousand dollars. We could not afford that so they sold the car and continued to charge us interest. They sent the loan to Crescent recovery and put it on our credit profiles all the while charging interest on a loan of $4,192.21. After fighting with them we finally had to settle with them. The result was the devastation of our credit.

Initially, my car loan was through Pinnacle Financial in the month of March 2008. In June of 2008, I received a letter from Crescent Bank & Trust stating that they took over my automobile loan. I fell on financial hardship and the representatives from Crescent Bank & Trust were very nice, and they worked with me. However, beginning in February 2009, I began receiving telephone calls from a Dominque **, and the calls were continuous with threats of repossession if I did not submit a payment right away because I was behind.
I was appalled and asked to speak with her manager, Kevin **. On two separate occasions, both parties hung up the telephone on me. Mr. ** even stated that, "You won't get no rest" as a means to coerce a payment out of me. I wrote a letter to the President and CEO of Crescent Bank & Trust, Mr. Fred Morgan, along with the Vice President, informing them of the appalling behavior by their staff and I did not receive a verbal or written response from either of them pertaining to the issue.
I did the best to my ability to catch up, and then I got laid off by my job in March of 2008. I informed Ms. ** that I lost my job, however the continuous phone calls came in 3-5 times a week, on a weekly basis threatening to repossess my vehicle if I did not make an immediate payment. In May of 2008, I did an extension agreement, and within my exchange through the Better Business Bureau, with Ms. Marie **, the Paralegal for Crescent Bank & Trust. Ms. ** acknowledged that my next payment would be due on June 21, 2009. However, I still received phone calls every day, Monday - Friday from Ms. **’s office. I did not understand why I was still being harassed if my payment was due on June 21st. However, due to my finances, I was unable to make that payment on June 21st, but in July I made the payment for June 21st.
Three days after my checked had been cashed, I received a telephone call from a repossession company and they informed me that they had received a vehicle repossession order for my vehicle. I was confused as to why the order would have been issued because I had just made the payment for June. I was told that they would check into it. At approximately 10:00 that evening, a tow truck came to repossess my vehicle, and the following day, I was told that I was 30 days behind on my payment. I am now without a vehicle that should have never been repossessed in the first place, and I have suffered emotionally due to the harassing telephone calls along with the loss of my vehicle. I wish for this to be resolved, and my vehicle released back to me.

I went to Premier Honda to get a car financed and I received financing through Crescent Bank & Trust I never ever received the paperwork from the dealership to see what was i finaced for and the price of the vehicle, I guess I was excited about getting transportation after returning home from the hurricane.
Later along the months I had the car I started getting phone calls from crescent bank from a Ms Thomas back to back to back when I was a few days before the due date, well to make a long story short I fell hard and had no place to live I explained to her that I had to save up for rent and deposit and as soon as I can I would catch up on the note which was then a week past the due date I was informed for the first time I was on a "PROGRAM" I've had cars in the past and this was the fist time I heard about a program.
I NEVER SIGNED ANY PAPERWORK OR FORMS STATING I ACKNOWLEDGED I WAS BEING PUT ON A PROGRAM. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY WHAT WAS THE INCOME AMOUNT WAS PUT SUBMITTED ON ME THAT I WAS NOT ABLE TO PAY A $460.00 CARNOTE AND WAS ONLY MAKING $10.50 AN HOUR. I COULD NOT GET ANY ANSWERS FROM ANYONE FROM THE DEALERSHIP OR THE BANK. PLEEEEEZE HELP ME THE CAR WAS OF COURSE REPOSSED FOR BEING THIRTY AND A WEEK LATE.

I had an automobile loan that was turned over to Crescent Bank and Trust for collection. After the car was auctioned off I was told I was responsible for the remaining balance. I gave my wife, Amanda Tuttle, permission to handle all business associated with the account. She came to an agreement with a representative of Crescent Bank and Trust to pay $25.00 a month.
The representative called every week eventhough we were sending our payments. Finally she told us that $25.00 a month was not enough and she couldn't accept payments that low anymore. My wife explained to her that we were limited in income and $25.00 was all we could afford. The representative claimed that was not enough and she couldn't accept that amount. She got very rude wanting to know why I couldn't take a second job to make higher payments, why my wife couldn't get a job to make the payments, why couldn't we let another bill go to make higher payments, etc. My wife finally told her that since she couldn't accept our money as per our agreement anymore then our responsibility for this debt was finished.
We made an agreement and honored it up until we were told our money would no longer be accepted. Because our money was refused we are no longer liable for this debt. It is still collecting interest and Crescent Bank and Trust is still calling repeatedly. We have told them to stop calling us because we are no longer responsible for this debt. They have harrassed us to the point of intolerance and they have reported incorrect information about this account to all the credit agencies without mention of the fact that we made good faith payments nor the fact that we were told our money would no longer be accepted.
They have submitted conflicting information to the different credit reporting agencies. There has been no activity on this account in quite some time yet they are repoting recent activity.

I have a car loan with this company. My original car loan was with Key Bank and Trust who sold all of there car loans to Crescent. I will start by saying that with Key my vehical was repossed once close to when I first brought it. I will admit I did not have a steller payment record. Scince Crescent took over my vehical has been repossed three times. The first time was valid. The second time they said that if two months are owed then they would come and take the car. This thirs time was 10/31 at 3am.
I was confused as to why the car was being taken because I had just made a payment. I made a payment on 10/28 using Money Gram in the amount of $380 (for Sep) I called Crescent around 9:30 and spoke to Richard. He told me that the last payment he saw was on Oct 4. I gave him he Money Gram refernce number and he did see the payment. He said there should be no problem he would talk to his supervisor and I would not have to pay any repossesion fees.
Richard called me back at 11:30am and told me that he thought his supervisor could do more and that I had to pay a $445 repossesion fee and Oct payment to get my car back. I asked him why the payment was not posted to my account and he explained that he did not know and that I should have called them with the refernce number. HE gave me his supervisor's number. I called Mark Moticheck and he told me that this should teach me a lesson.
I asked him why the payment had not gone through and he said that my account had been blocked from payments on Friday 10/27. I asked what did that mean did that just mean that the payment I made was floating around and he said yes. I do not dispute that I was late the problem that I have is that no one can explain why the Money Gram payment did not post.
When I expressed concern that this is an electronic payment Mark insisted it was not. However on the company web site it lists Money Gram as an electronic payment. I just do not understand why I have to pay a $447 repossesion fee for a payment which was never posted to my account.

My car was stolen a few months ago and i went to Don Marshall Chrysler Center 716 Hwy 27 Somerset, KY 42501. i told them i had bad credit. They said they could help me get a car. A Don Marshall representative told me that after making 3 payments i could come back and trade in for any vehical i wanted. they said they could only sell me this 2003 dodge caravan. they said the loan was for 18 months. (it is for 3 years) the payments were 373.99 a month.
i didnt read the things i signed. i believed what i was told. i tried to take the van back to don marshalls and they said i have to have it for a year because i am still paying on interests. i took my van to a different dealer and they said i was really screwed and they have seen other people in my situation coming from Don Marshalls. i went home and looked at my papers and the bank is charging me 25% interest. i believe Don Marshall and Cresent Bank and Trust took advantage of me when i was in a desperate situation. can you help me?

On Aug. 27, 02 the bank reposed my 99 Kia, because of my paying late at the time I owed for Aug. and they said I owed $26.00 from July(which I didn't relize). After repossing the car I didn't hear from them for four months, than in Jan. 03 I had call from Ms Knight, she informed by that the car had been sole(for about $2000.00)and that I was responsible for the balance which she told me was $5000.00 something dollars.
I told Ms Knight that I hadn't heard from the bank in 4 months and that I didn't think the balance was right. Ms Knight kept asking me doesn't mean that I was not going to pay? and I told her I would like something in writing and that I would be contracting a lawyer to see what my rights were. After contracting the lawyer, who told me to get something in writing and see about setting up a payment plan, I than called Ms Knight back, she told me that she would pass the message on to the bank lawyer.
I did send the bank a $50.00 check,to hold them until my lawyer and my credit counselor could contact them, they return the check. I suffer from uncontrolled high blood pressure and depression, this has been very hard they threathen to garish my wage or put a lien on my home. I did file a complaint with LA BBB (which Ms Knight told me they never head from the BBB, but I have a copy of the letter they sent to LA BBB, which states the amount that I owed at the time when the reposed the car.
