They were quick and fair. I submitted everything they asked for and the next day I received an email letting me know they had approved my request. The very next day, I had been paid back. I had two claims for the same trip one with Allianz and one with another company. I'm still waiting to hear from the other company.

After waiting 4 months for a straight forward claim they deposited $120.35 into my account. $25 or 20% less than owed. I can make 2 assumptions: 1) the cost of a wire transfer was absorbed by my bank not theirs or 2) the euro to $ exchange.....which by now should have been in my favor. Had they refunded my VISA-the form of payment used, this could have and should have been avoided. In any case it is a slap in the face after all the time and questions and work that they shorted my refund like this. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER USE ALLIANZ NOR RECOMMEND ANYONE USE THEM. They are a scam.

DO NOT waste your money. I had trip interruption due to an emergency with a parent hospitalization and the documentation requirement was RIDICULOUS. Doctor's note with dates of service, diagnosis, bills, length of stay PERSONAL to my parent that I do not have access to and since the parent is still hospitalized there is no way to obtain. And that was only ONE of the MULTIPLE required documents. Additionally, the app doesn't allow you to save your claim so that you can go back to add the documents IF you're able to get them. Horrible process. UNHELPFUL customer service. Never again.

I purchased a train ticket and added purchase protection for peace of mind. However, when I later tried to book my flight from Washington, D.C., the flight schedule had changed, which made the train ticket unusable for my trip. When I contacted them, I was told this would be considered a “personal change” and that I would not be reimbursed, even though I had purchased protection specifically to avoid this kind of loss. This is very frustrating and feels misleading.

Travel reservations were made for a total of 7 individuals in Sept 2025 for travel the week of May 16-25 of 2026. Five in Michigan and two in Ohio. We booked airfare and a rental home in Grand Cayman and purchased travel insurance within the 30 days through Allianz to protect our trip. Three of the travel individuals in Michigan found out they were having a baby and the due date is one week after our travel date. We filed a claim at Allianz for the airfare on 12/29/2025. The claim was paid in late January 2026. When I called to verify how funds would be sent, I asked if we could file a claim for the housing/accommodations portion of the travel. The CSR said yes and to add the documents to the original claim. We completed the form on 2/17/2026 and resubmitted the claim. After no actions on the claim for over a month, they closed the claim.

I called and Allianz said they needed more detail that a refund was not provided for the accommodations. I obtained the email/confirmation from Grand Cayman Villas and submitted it to Allianz on 4/17/2026. We were advised it takes 14 days to process the claim but it can take up to 18 days. It's now been over 1.5 months and I have called 5 times to get an update. Each time the CSR says, "Someone will call you within 24 hours and the claim will be processed with 72 hours." Nothing has happened. They advised me they tried to call several times, but there is nothing on my called ID log or voice mail that they did. This is even after verifying the correct number to call. The CSRs respond the same way each time we call informing me that they will have someone call in 24 hours and the claim will be resolved within 72. Like they are reading from a script. Our impression is that Allianz is attempting to avoid paying the $5800

My husband and I have the Annual Plan and have been very satisfied. We recently had to file a claim under Travel Interruption for an event while on vacation in this country. Some reviewers say they need a lot of documentation and they do but we had what they needed, a rep called to verify information and although it took a while to have them make a decision, they kept us posted by emails and paid out what was covered. We traveled a lot in our earlier years so have had the Annual Plan for a while and we have filed 4 claims and they honored every one where it was covered.

Terrible scam insurance company... mother-in-law purchased airline tickets, the person she is visiting is on the death bed, with a doctor's letter, and the trip is canceled and they didn't find that worthy. Took 3 weeks and 6 documents to get a No. Total waste of time and money.

Bought insurance for concert tickets. Mother in law went on hospice. Of course Allianz said it was covered. They requested paperwork. We sent it. They want more paperwork. Send that. Want more. See where I’m going??.. There won’t be any paperwork that’s enough. Don’t use this company. Bad business.

I purchased travel insurance through Allianz Travel Insurance and unfortunately my experience with the claims process has been very disappointing. I filed a $300 claim over 7 weeks ago, and the online status still only says "In Review." I have called customer service four separate times and was promised a callback within 24 hours each time. I still have not received any response or update regarding my claim. The lack of communication and follow-through has been extremely frustrating. Based on my experience, customers should be aware that filing a claim may involve long delays and poor communication. The customer service has not been responsive, and the process has not been handled in a timely or professional manner.

The most horrible services ever created. They will not honor any claim or refund and they will fight you tooth and nail to give you nothing. Everyone is better off saving 52 bucks for themselves instead of feeding it to this rat company and lining the pockets of whatever rat ceo works here. This is scam and I'm surprised they are still allowed to operate. Everyone DO NOT get insurance on your tickets. They will NOT HELP YOU.

Purchased insurance for international travel and had to cancel the trip more than 1 month in advance due to being a mental health provider and being unable to get coverage to go. The travel insurance was $400. I submitted all documentation provided by Air Canada and Allianz had denied the claim, so essentially lost $400 and now attempting to at least get a travel credit with Air Canada.

I got an Alliance insurance policy for a trip from Michigan to Florida. A situation beyond my control arose, requiring me to change the flight dates. I discussed this with the airlines, and they said I was okay to change your flights, as you and your wife had insurance, and would be covered for the difference based on what Alliance had on the Delta website. However, Delta wouldn't process the claim directly; I would have to do it separately, and I was assured I would get the difference back. I submitted my claim to Allianz, and they declined it because the flight took place in the US.

It’s been over 6 months. It’s been over 6 months since the accident and filing a claim. I had the misfortune of being a passenger in a very violent car crash while on tour in Tanzania. I suffered multiple fractures and almost lost my dominant hand. Ended up in a hospital in Nairobi, Kenya for almost a month where I underwent multiple surgeries. To this day, they REFUSE to cover any of my claims, not medical evacuation, not trip interruption, nothing. I have submitted time and time again the same paperwork they keep requesting just to get the response “we need more information”. Even if you send them EXACTLY what they requested, they pretend they did not receive it.

I’ve never dealt with such a heartless organization. Then again, what should one expect from a company that has been complicit in an ongoing gen0cide. These are not people, they are monsters. And I would like to thank all the people at Allianz that have refused to help me thus far: Christy **, Scott, Troy **, Alfred, Karen G., Tamara R., Tiffany B., Lynette C., Valerie and the countless unnamed. May you all never know peace.

I’d leave a negative star if I could. Bought $800+ home opener tickets with insurance. Got in an accident 2 weeks before the game. Car was totaled and I live 9-10 hours away from the stadium. They denied my claim because it wasn’t 24 hours before the event. DO NOT USE THEM.

I recommend not to give any money to this group unless you don't expect anything in return and want to give your money away. Good riddance and hope they go out of business as soon as possible.

This is the worst Insurance Investment possible! I've paid for travel insurance through Allianz many times and two times I've needed it, they drag me out with needing more and more information, which only leads to my trip delay or interruption claim wasn't covered due to some small detail. I really don't get the point of spending the money for the non-coverage! Trust me- Save your money!

Should have read the reviews before I purchased this loophole insurance: I purchased 6 tickets along with insurance for my group. Unfortunately, one couple couldn’t attend because their babysitter became ill just 2 hours before the event. Based on the policy, this situation should have been covered under Rule #27, which states that coverage applies if “your childcare provider becomes ill or unable to provide care.” However, my claim was denied on a technicality. Their reasoning? The policy uses the word “your,” and since the babysitter wasn’t my personal childcare provider, but rather the couple’s, the claim didn’t qualify. This is extremely misleading.

I purchased all 6 tickets and the insurance together for the group, yet they refused to honor the claim based on semantics. It feels like the policy is intentionally written to find loopholes rather than actually provide coverage when it’s needed. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend relying on this insurance. This isn’t insurance, it’s a trap. The policy is clearly written in a way that allows them to deny legitimate claims over trivial wording.

I purchased a travel protection plan from Allianz Global Assistance and have experienced significant dissatisfaction with the service provided. Despite submitting all requested documentation, my refund has not been issued, and a month has elapsed without resolution. Attempts to obtain information regarding the delay by telephone resulted in interactions with customer service personnel that I judged to be discourteous. A request to escalate the matter to a supervisory level was not honored; instead, I was redirected to the general call center and required to repeat the inquiry process.

On the preceding day, I was informed that my claim had entered its “final review process” and that I should expect a response either that day or the following morning. When no communication was received, I telephoned again and was advised that an additional ten business days would be necessary for a final review to determine whether the refund of $695 would be issued. The basis for my cancellation was attendance at a family funeral, which was subsequently postponed due to the death of another family member four days later. Buyer beware also that the insurance for Allegiant is only covered up to $750. Read the small print. I also was what appeared to be a threat that if I were to take this public I may never receive my refund.
