Independent Home sent a salesman and he seemed to be very knowledgeable and professional. I was looking for a tub and I liked what they told me. The installers were very professional as well. They cleaned up after themselves. It was an easy installation. Two came out and they were done in three to four hours. They did very good work and I'm satisfied. The tub is easy to operate and I'm enjoying it.

Nobody else would call me back, and I kept getting weird phone calls from other salesmen. But Independent Home called me back a couple of times and answered all my questions. We got the deluxe tub from them. It ended up being a good deal. We had to change our install date three times and they were very accommodating. It was a great experience. They were wonderful. They did the installation in one day. It was a very easy process.

My installation was delayed because of a crack in their tub. They didn’t vet one of the installers, he was caught on camera rambling through our personal things. There was also damage to my doorway. One of them even stuffed my toilet with paper towel.

Installer cut pipe when installing and didn't fix before putting up walls. This caused a leak from the upstairs. When I called scheduler she said installer didn't not do it and that I would need to get a plumber myself. I insisted that it wasn't leaking before. They finally had a repairman come out, He took the wall back down and saw the cut pipe. Also the water wasn't getting hot. They plan to be here to fix that this week.

Workers have been here 3 times and it still is not complete. Salesman lied about a filtered water system that doesn’t exist and the included door doesn’t cover the front of the tub. Customer service has an attitude and are not easy to deal with. If you have a choice go with another company.

Independent Home left caulking on the door jamb. Independent Home didn’t install the chrome shower drain and faucet mixer symmetrically. They did complete the the walk in shower on time as promised, they also laid blankets going in and out of the house.

Original Review: Very dissatisfied. We had a walk-in tub installed for my 84-year-old mother. The person who installed the tub over-tightened the hardware that houses the washers, and the washers failed. It leaked for 9 months unbeknownst to my mother. The floor, subfloor, and walls of the bathroom and adjacent room now have black mold. The company has not returned our calls and has not provided its insurance information for us to file a claim. The tub cost over $15,000.00, and the damage, mold removal, and mold remediation is $30,000 to $35,000. This does not include the loss of furniture, mattresses, and other belongings that cannot be cleaned.

Please do not believe these reviews. I think the company pays people to write them. Go and look at the BBB website for all the complaints. It's the same complaints. Faulty parts, unlicensed installers, no customer service call backs, and no resolution for the issues. Do not buy anything from this company. They are preying upon the elderly. This company will not make restitution for its products when they fail. In addition, Independent Home will not give its insurance information when you need to file a claim. Beware.

From the no pressure sales experience to scheduling and installation all was very professional. The tub replaced an old short non jetted tub perfectly. Love the tub and the installers were great. The 4 stars is due to definitely feeling a bit deceived. I was told my 50 gallon hot water tank was great, I specifically asked if it was enough and was told yes. I even asked the water capacity of the new tub and was told it was about the same as the old tub. None of those things are true. The 50 gallon is barely enough to get a warm bath and my wife likes her baths very hot. So if you have a 50 gallon hot water tank (pretty standard) plan on the expense of an upgrade. I'm sure the salesman knew this. Also surprised it's been 5 days and no follow up call.
