The experience was great. The sales guy showed up at the door and we weren't gonna answer but he was patiently waiting and harmless. I wanted to see what he had, so when he said it was security I wanted to hear him out. Our old system was broken, doorbell quit working, and we had no cameras. He and his salesmate Cole came in and we sat down. They showed me some numbers and it was what I expected. Affordable but also pricey, however, we needed the extra protection. Our neighborhood is growing a lot. The guys were personable, friendly and knowledgeable. We got a full package with three cameras, control panel, three entry sensors, and a new keyless lock for the front door.
Then they left and we waited for the installation tech to show up in 15 minutes. He started working quickly, then he had a nice young lady come to help him finish setting up. It was done in less than an hour. They showed me how to use everything. The whole team was awesome. These were all hard working youngins. I thought it was great. It really made my day. Thank you guys. I don't remember all of your names but I want you to know that you did a really good job.

The sales person Danny was professional and kind. He did well but wasn't as thorough in his explanation of the products as he should have been. I actually love Vivint. The way they treated their employees on a show called Undercover Boss led me to use them. I needed what Danny was selling. He did well and wasn't pushy. Maybe he assumed I was a bit more familiar with the products since we spoke about how I was looking into adding some things. Regardless, I'm very pleased with the sales, and install. The installation guys were incredible. I forgot his name. I remember Danny's name because he used a very useful technique on departure and entry. He stopped talking, leaned towards me and gave me a solid handshake. He looked directly at me while doing so and spoke his name after asking and repeating mine. I noticed immediately. Very smart and definitely effective.
The install guy was very good. He insisted on reviewing the order before install. I started to brush him off a bit as this being a waste of time. I just ordered the products less than 30 minutes earlier. The install guy insisted. Turns out he was right. I thought the flood light and camera were one product. That alone had me and the install guy talking in circles. To the point I was getting a bit pissed. He said I paid for an outside camera and the floodlight. I said no, just the floodlight, thinking it had a camera. Anyways, once my tone started to change, the install guy shifted and went over each product and what they did. That's when the confusion cleared. He shifted at the right moment as I am the type to simply say screw it and tell people to kick rocks once I get pissed. He had another install guy show up to cut the install time down for me. It was 7 pm when they arrived. As I had agreed to.
They were a great pair. Funny and very accommodating. They did great work and I was happy. They fixed one of my cameras that I could not get connected to my original panel. I took that off the price and saved a whopping $4 off the monthly charge. We both laughed and yet he didn't push. I had just made a comment on how I was going to buy some cameras myself before they showed but saw the prices and would just put it on hold. The install guy read me correctly. Over all, I know I wrote a book but to be honest, good sales and excellent service is not a common thing anymore. Especially from people as young as these guys were. Very impressive job Vivint! You chose and trained well. The upgraded outside camera attached to the flood light option is pretty bad ass. Exactly what I needed.

I just switched from ADT to Vivint yesterday, and to say I am extremely happy with the new security system would be a massive understatement. If you are on the fence about upgrading your home security or making the switch from another provider, let this be your sign to go with Vivint.
The Installation & Tech Expertise: From the moment the technician (Jonathan **) arrived, I knew I was in good hands. The tech was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and patient. They took the time to map out the perfect setup for my home, explained how everything worked, and ensured I was completely comfortable with the system before leaving. It’s rare to find an installation tech who truly understands the ins and outs of the technology they are handling, but Vivint’s team nailed it.
Superior Technology & Equipment: In my opinion, Vivint’s equipment is vastly superior to ADT’s. The hardware feels premium, but where Vivint truly blows the competition out of the water is the technology. The ecosystem is seamless, the interface is incredibly intuitive, and the smart home integration is lightyears ahead of what I was used to with ADT. It feels like a truly modern, proactive security system rather than an outdated, reactive one.
Better Contract Terms & Financial Flexibility: The financial and contract structure with Vivint is what ultimately made this a no-brainer for me:
Shorter Commitment: Vivint only required a 2-year contract, compared to the rigid 3-year contract I was looking at with ADT. Having that extra flexibility is a huge plus.0% Financing: I was approved for $4,000.00 at 0% APR to finance the equipment. Being able to get top-tier, premium hardware without paying a massive upfront cost—and without paying a dime in interest—made the upgrade incredibly affordable.
The Verdict: I am thrilled with my decision to switch. The combination of cutting-edge technology, expert installation, shorter contract terms, and amazing 0% financing options makes Vivint the absolute gold standard in home security right now. If you want real peace of mind and elite equipment, skip ADT and go straight to Vivint. 10/10 highly recommend!

We have had a Vivint system since 2017. It had started to be slow and glitchy and we needed a new co2 sensor. We happened to see the Vivint reps at Costco and decided after taking to them that we would just purchase a new system through Costco. They were so nice and very helpful. Tech David came and was very professional. We realized that in order to install the new system we had to cancel the current one which seemed to cause problems Including a 30 day wait period with no system at all.
After 2 1/2 hours of being online with a Jessica and the loyalty department we finally found a solution that would allow me to have the new system installed. Jessica and David were so helpful. The loyalty department was not. I was transfers multiple times and left on hold. There was a huge language barrier at times and they spent way too much co time trying to talk me out of canceling my account instead of trying to understand the actual problem and finding the right person to help, in the end we were able to reschedule David to come back and install my system. He did a fantastic job. Was on time and totally focused on getting things installed and working properly. He answered all my questions and got the app going for us.

Vivint is HORRIBLE! I was renting a house that had their cameras already pre-installed. When I moved I called and let them know that I will not be renting that house anymore therefore I do not need their services and I needed to cancel. I did not want service anymore from them and there were new renters moving in immediately. I moved out in November and in March they took three payments out of my account for past due payments. These were for services that I no longer received at a rental.
When I called to get my money back, I was on the phone for over an hour. Customer service had the nerve to ask me for the new renters phone numbers so they could just transfer the account? I had nothing to do with the new renters! They also told me they would give me six months for free! They tried giving me a lower rate. But after multiple issues with their cameras while I had their service, and the low poor quality of their video, there was no way I was transferring their service to a new house. The solution finally was that I still had to pay for three months of service that I did not receive. I was the one held financially responsible because they neglected to finish this cancellation process with me. The new renters got Vivint services under my name for free!
Never will I ever suggest this company to anyone. The fact that they couldn't make this right and give me my money back and the fact that they were more concerned about keeping the account open is the reason why I did not transfer their services. Had they made this an easier process for me to cancel and give me my money back for services I never received, I will not be writing this. Their morality here is absolutely wrong! The fact that they thought I would continue business with them when they were charging me for services that somebody else was receiving is mind blowing!

Jason was an outstanding technician. He was professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable throughout the entire service visit. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made sure the job was done right. His experience and attention to detail gave me confidence that the work was being handled properly. It's not often you come across someone who combines great customer service with such a high level of technical expertise. I would highly recommend Jason to anyone needing service and truly appreciate the excellent experience he provided.

My technician, Ryan was excellent. He was very professional and thorough. I was overwhelmed because the sales person did not explain everything that it was going to take for Installation. The sales person did not do a walk-through of my home to explain the coverage I would need. I have many windows. The technician, Ryan explained everything before the equipment was installed, which lowered my anxiety level. I appreciate his patience and instructions.

Franky was professional and knowledgeable with the product. Only feedback is communication prior to arrival. I had no awareness of when he would be arrive. Otherwise, great service overall.
