I moved from Lansing to Detroit last year. And I was looking for a moving company that was affordable and reliable to move me long distance, and through a Google search as well. I saw a flyer in my apartment complex that talked about All My Sons. I reached out to a couple of different places. And I got the best rate with All My Sons.

During the actual moving day, they were quick, efficient, and took great care of all our materials. Then, luckily, we live in an apartment complex with three stories and an elevator compared to one with 11 stories. There's still an elevator. Still, a very efficient process.

I appreciated the banter between the movers and me, and just the comfort level, just talking with them. Which was really helpful to know that people I trust, that they were gonna look out for me. ‘Cause moving is always very stressful. That was last year.

Then, when I was moving again in March, ‘cause I was leaving a job, I was gonna go and look around all these other places. I had a really good experience with All My Sons. So I just went back and talked to them.

Again, wonderful experience. I was moving to my mom's house. They were really helpful in just being able to help deal with that move. They wrapped my TV and some other things. For me, I've always had a really good experience with them. In both cases, the movers were really willing to help out. The first time I moved, I was still trying to pack up some things while they were still there. They just came in and helped finish packing for me. Then the second time around, I was trying to take some things in my car, but it just wasn't working. We were able to pack them up and put them in a box to transport to my new destination. They always have extra supplies and are always willing to help lend a hand if needed. And I appreciate it.

    Somebody recommended All My Sons to me. I talked to a number of people, and a couple of people said they had them. I looked them up online, and I didn't see any negative reviews. We used them and they did a nice job. The price we paid to do business with them was less than I thought it was gonna be. So, that was fair. Overall, it was a good experience. Even though I was packing the stuff as I could, All My Sons' crew packed a number of boxes up. They had told me they would do that. There were two really nice young men who were efficient and patient. They were kind and did everything we asked them to do.

    When we got to where they were supposed to unload, they were having trouble with their computer that wasn't working. So, it took us an hour and a half to finish. We'd already done 99% of the paperwork for the moving. We had one more session we had to do, and their computer wasn't working and we couldn’t pay. There were all kinds of issues, and they sat patiently in their truck for an hour and a half. They never complained. They were on a truck waiting but still, they didn't fuss about anything.

    All My Sons Moving was really good when I reached out to them. They followed up with a text message and they were efficient in contacting me right away. However, when the movers came out, they would only load the big pieces of furniture. They wouldn't help me with the moving with the smaller boxes. It was a two-bedroom apartment but for my entertainment center console, they said we could just donate it because they were not going to be able to get it up the steps. I didn't realize until after the fact that there were still things down the underneath part of it that I didn't even get a chance to take out. I lost a lot of video and stuff from that.

    Additionally, I was dissatisfied with the price. They were late arriving by about two hours, and at the last minute, they added an additional guy on. They only moved me two streets over. To spend, in total, almost $1,300 for the move, was outrageous. One guy said that they were going to give me a discount. In the end, the lead mover said that they had taken off some, but it seemed like it was still expensive. It was almost $1,000. Then they wanted me to give them an additional tip on top of that, which I thought was included in the overall price. I had to tip them $100 a piece and they seemed they were not happy that I didn't give them more. But that's the only thing. I get that's a lot of heavy lifting and they were pretty fast in doing it.

    I did a Google search to see different movers and All My Sons Moving was the only one who was available on very short notice for me. It was easy to use the service online and it allows me to select what I need, enter my information and get a call back. I wasn't expecting the callback to happen a second I hit send. The first job All My Sons Moving had done for me was when we were doing some renovation in the center, they moved me to a storage unit so we could do the construction and move me back. I also had them do some other general moves in our commercial space. They've been pretty accommodating with helping. They listen to the requests that I need and they will tell me whether or not they can do it based on the availability of their team.

    On the first job All My Sons Moving did, I was very impressed. I wasn't expecting that level of detail where they shrink-wrap all my stuff with plastic to ensure that the furniture wasn't scratched. I was very surprised by that. I was happy with their services, so I just continued to use them. They've done 3 jobs for me now and there are different reps that answer the phone but they've been helpful. Their callback is immediate. I've used the online scheduling to provide some details then they call me back to discuss a little bit more details about the space and specifically what I'm planning on moving to give them a better idea as to how to estimate what I need done. I also tell them that I may have additional things that need to be done so they can update whatever the cost is for me that day. But if there is a concern, they call the main office to make sure that it was okay.

    All My Sons Moving made the experience so much more pleasant. I was expecting some things to be dropped and this thing to be dragged on painfully. But they were quick. They were so efficient with the move process, it was unbelievable. I thought it was a whole day affair but it was a few hours. They made it look really simple to move things. I've not had the same team that comes back out but each of them has been incredible. Their service is amazing. I like that they're in uniforms. They give their estimates and they're transparent. It lets you know upfront all the costs, possible costs and fees, so you can make a decision if you want to still move forward or not. They call you too to let you know that they're nearby. That was helpful as well.

    The crew is extremely helpful and professional. They seem to be happy and that's the other thing. They seem to like their work. I see other workers that are pretty disgruntled, but they take pride in their work and it shows. They are more communicative. They are telling you what's going on and where they are with the progress that they're making. They didn't break anything and they didn't bump into anything. I also didn't get a feel that they were upcharging me or trying to sell me something I didn't want. I didn't feel pressured to spend more money. I didn't want them to charge me more, but the price was good for what I had to get. On the last move, I didn't get a receipt for the charge. I called the office and they emailed it to me within 10 minutes.

    I moved homes and I moved all of my stuff. I went with All My Sons Moving and I told them what I had. They asked me questions and I answered them. They came and had people help pack things. I had packed some things that didn't need as much care. I didn't pack the glassware and the furniture that would be difficult to pack. But I prepared the soft goods ‘cause that was just easier to do. I just let them do their thing. I had different color-coded tape to let them know where to put it when we got back to the new house and they just did their thing.

    I had some boxes that were probably packed a little too heavily because one of the guys might have been new. They were books, and they were packed in a box that was way too big. Didn't have very many things broken, but I did have a couple of things broken. When we got to the end of the move, the day ended up being longer than we expected. So, the items that I had color-coded didn't necessarily make it to the place that I had hoped. But that's okay.

    I had never moved with a moving company before. I didn't realize the value within a move, with a company, with people who knew what they were doing, just efficiency-wise. It would have taken me how many weeks to go back and forth with a vehicle and find people, and see if they are available and all that and have to worry about it. It wasn't cheap. But it was worth the peace of mind.

    I haven't had any problems with their customer service. I got some protection for some of my stuff in case anything was accidentally damaged. So, I will call them probably within the next couple of days to follow up on a couple of things that got broken. But the way that I've spoken with the people in the Louisville office, they were very clear. Like, “Here's who you should call. And make sure you document it this way so that it can be handled."

    All My Sons Moving really impressed us! They were incredibly professional and friendly. We were kept informed throughout the entire process, so we always knew exactly what the plan was. They reached out to remind us about moving day two days prior just to make sure we were all on the same page, which my organizational brain loved. The moving crew were incredibly fast! They cleared out our 10x20 storage unit and moved everything into our two-bedroom apartment in just three hours. We also really appreciated the care they took with our new place. Before moving anything into the new place, they laid out protectants and covered the entry door to make sure nothing was damaged or scuffed. We highly recommend All My Sons.     I had an extremely disappointing experience with All My Sons Moving & Storage and would strongly caution others before using them. We paid extra for insurance coverage specifically to protect our belongings, yet our move resulted in significant damage to high-value furniture, including a bed valued at approximately $5,000 and a custom table worth around $500. The damage was completely avoidable and appeared to be caused by careless handling during the move.

    The crew itself was also a major issue. Although we were charged for a 3-person team, it effectively operated like a 1-person crew. One mover was brand new and spoke no English, another team member physically struggled to lift items, and the lack of communication between the crew caused constant delays, confusion, and wasted time. There was excessive standing around while one worker tried to direct the entire operation.

    The move took significantly longer than it should have because the team was unorganized and unprepared. What should have been a professional moving experience turned into an incredibly stressful and frustrating situation. We documented the damage, submitted receipts, and are now having to fight for fair reimbursement despite paying for additional coverage upfront. If you are moving valuable furniture or expect professional service, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

    DO NOT USE ALL MY SONS. All My Sons was contracted to remove steel and iron auto parts into a dumpster and clear out trash (not garbage) into another dumpster for a minimum or 3 hours. One of the men complained of back pain and did little. They quit after 1 hour and 25 minutes, sat in their truck for a long break, then declared they were not supposed to clear out the trash, as they were informed that job was to be an apartment clean out. It was not. It was an auto shop clean out. They left an hour early after working only an hour and 25 minutes. I received less than half of the contracted effort for 2.5 out of 3 people. Horrible work ethics.

    Movers called 45 minutes ahead of time. I had a few small pieces of furniture and 23 bins/boxes. Was quoted $322 when I went to pay the total came out to $694. I questioned the difference and they deducted a half hour of time so in with deposit, I paid double the initial quote. I was fine with it because I was not prepared to move the items myself. The gentleman moving me said “You know we accept tips for great service,” which obviously I planned on tipping anyway, but is fully unprofessional to say to any customer.

    Got everything moved, and I asked one of the guys for his Cash App. They left, and when I picked up my phone, there was a dictated voicemail on my phone of the driver pocket dialing me, saying how sick of me he was! After a lackluster performance, I opted out of tipping him. He has since texted my cell phone three times in two days from 2 different phone numbers requesting his tip. This is clearly harassment as well as the most unprofessional experience I have encountered with a company. He now knows where I live as well. I would like a call from this company’s corporate office before this goes any further.
