Calling into the Customer Service line to inquire about a letter I received regarding an investigation of a charge to my card I was met by Mona. The rudest CX person I have ever encountered. She interrupted me, would not let me ask a question, argued with me and hung up on me. I did not get my issue resolved and now I have a fear of calling again. I do hope all of the CX people are not that horrible, and I do mean horrible.

    US bank customer service is really bad. I filed a credit card dispute with the VW Cardinal Way Corona California for their service on vehicle warranty. Submitted invoice and proof of VW warrant services at the other dealership to them as requested. US bank dispute case worker closed the case with reason can't support the dispute without telling me in email or writing. A very bad, don't give a shit attitude of the US bank customer service, I just had it with them.

    I opened a US Bank Credit Card in October or November of 2025. I have paid every payment on-time and have proof of it, but US BANK charges me a LATE Fee, ever single month without exception. At first they waived the fee a couple of times, but now, they say that I have had the FEE Waived too many times to waive it any longer. That sounds like a good policy, except none of my payments were ever LATE. They are basically stealing the LATE fee Amount from me every month! They refuse to look at the proof from my bank showing that they were paid on-time. I have called at least 3 times, sent 4 emails and did the chat thing once, they refuse to look at the proof (attached here is my Bank BillPay information for this account, it shows the Dec 2025 payment thru the May 2026 payment) (All payments were due on the 7th of the month, you can see all were paid on-time). I have record of the emails and chat.

    Also, the payment hits the account weeks and weeks after it was paid, I'm sure they are adding more interest charges to my account for these delays on their part. My Suggestion: NEVER, EVER GET A US BANK Credit Card for any reason. You could be subject to them stealing from you! You might think, this guy is crazy, but I always pay my bills on-time, this is the only CC, out of 5, that I use that has problems. These issues, are at their end. They fabricated this to steal from me, I wonder how many other people they are doing this to? Good Luck!

    I been with US Bank for 21 years. I have a Business and Personal accounts. 3 credit cards. Personal Money Market, and Personal savings. For 24 years I never invested my money. So US Bank had a large amount to loan out and I received under $10 a year. I decided to learn to invest. Open up accounts with the President at my bank. He said all kinds of lies. Customer service. Will bounce you all over. Not my dept. On hold. Hang ups. You get a reply back from a email. But you can reply back. The email will go through, only the next day say. It didn’t. I go back to my bank and sit down with the main boss, no one is ahead of him. He says oh…. Go back and try a different custom service agent. Bla bla Bait and switch is their game now. The fees are so stupid. So tricky. They have become con artist. Most will just give up. I’m leaving the bank. I can’t work with liars.

    I have been a US Bank member for a while and have used them periodically as a Zelle account. Within the last few weeks I have placed a large deposit into my US Bank account and almost immediately experienced my account being hacked. Coincidence I'm not sure. But, a US Bank representative helped someone hack my account by changing personal information by phone.... creating a multitude of problems that including the account not being placed on hold correctly. And, the hacking continued.... Numerous(70 plus) debit transactions taking money out of my account.

    A branch located in Northern CA also had a teller named Sarah that shorted my cash transaction within the same week by 1k for a cash withdrawal. No big deal to them nor the Branch Manager. Sarah very much justified she had done everything correctly, including not counting the money in front of me with the handoff.... She said it was done. Unfortunately, her confirmation that all the money was included with the cash withdrawl, was not true. 1k dollars was missing. She stated "all the money is there", when asked and it was not. Inappropriate business conduct, identity theft, falsifying transactions, and fraudulently taking money from members... Now occurring with US Bank. User Beware.....

    Updated on 05/11/2026: 2 days ago, I learned that US Bank stopped the automatic withdrawals for my wife's Medicare supplemental with Cigna 3 years ago and the policy lapsed (3 years ago), without our knowledge.

    Original Review:

    1. US Bank in LA JOLLA, CA 92037 tricked my wife into opening 3 accounts.
    2. They filed a request for a welfare check when we wanted to combine our accounts as joint accounts, which caused us great stress because we thought the welfare check was for a medical condition my wife was dealing with.
    3. They refused to add me to my wife's savings account (which was both of ours anyway).
    4. I have filed 2 complaints with the CFPB against US Bank.

    5. They don't have tellers anymore at the LA JOLLA, CA, US Bank.

    Before US Bank took over Union Bank, I have been a loyal customer since 1996 without a hitch. I was not sure what level of quality we would receive after the change. I started using the branch that is closest to my home when I moved to this area five years ago. Within that time, I have been subjected to rude employees up to my having to report them to their managers on a few occasions. There just seemed to a be a core group of women in there who would treat me like we were high school friends... with them being bully-like in their treatment of me. So I stopped going into that Branch all together. I would use the ATM out front and simply avoided their unprofessional behavior. Then I realized that there is another Branch not far from my home in an area where I shop.

    I wanted to set up a new account for my retirement so I went into the other Branch. To my surprise, I was met with such kindness and professionalism by all of the employees there! It was like night and day and something we long-term customers deserve to be treated like. There are many Banks to take our money to, so it is important that each Branch be aware of providing the Best Customer Experience in order to retain our memberships in the banking business.

    One Person named Brenda is what motivated this first formal review I'm making today. She has worked at that other Branch of over 7 years. When I went to her window the very first time, it was the fact that she actually cares enough to make eye contact with sincere interest in helping her customers that pleasantly surprised me. I did not know that I had active cards associated with my former account with Union Bank until Brenda brought it to my attention. She immediately offered to deactivate them. She also looked at all of the activity with my accounts to make sure I would have no difficulties going forward. Brenda walked me out in front of the bank and made sure my new account card was activated. She even smiles!

    What struck me about Brenda initially and it still does every time I go into that Branch is that she is truly present as a person and her care with details is outstanding. She does not patronize me in any way. Always kind! Always patient! Always alert to help! I told Brenda that I'm not really a 'sweet' person, especially living in a world where people are simply out for themselves alone. Thus, I told Brenda that when I meet persons like her, It is a privilege to stop my day and make time to sing their praises. Thus, this review of Brenda! I just received a new card that I requested from her...overnighted! I didn't have to wait! That is above and beyond! Thank You Brenda!

    If all of the employees would take a cue from Brenda on being kind and caring as she is with all of her customers, the US Bank Brand would grow tremendously even during trying times like the ones we're experiencing now. Brenda is a natural example of humility. She is not fake. She should be highly recognized by her Managers and by Corporate Senior Level Management! That being the case, I am going to escalate this review directly to the Corporate Offices of US Bank after I post it herein. I don't trust that people like Brenda receive the recognition that they deserve unless we do the work to flag the grace and kindness that she provides to us.

    I believe that Brenda deserves a raise in pay, time off and even a special lunch with the other Branch members being there to celebrate what she has done for customers like me. I now go into that Branch specifically to have my matters cared for by Brenda. She can actually turn a stressful day into a kinder and happier one just by being who she is! Her smile is genuine! Please recognize this humble person for her Excellent Customer Service!! I Give Five Stars for Brenda! Yay!

    I’m very confused on how I have to be charged a six-dollar fee when the people over the phone messed up my delivery address and also I never got my first card to begin with. So I feel as if I shouldn’t be charged a six-dollar fee for something I never had for y’all to replace and also I just got off the phone with a supervisor and she said her name was Brianna, but she could be lying. But all I’m gonna say is I am very disappointed with how y’all can’t waive that because it’s not my fault. It’s the company‘s fault and if it wasn’t for me working at a certain spot, I will not be getting my card from y’all are a terrible company.

    Experiencing difficulties with my family checking accounts. I had to close one account and open a new one however my transactions are coming out of another account that doesn’t have my name nor same card information. Working with staff have been pleasant; however experiencing this, now appears with a lack of understanding of US Bank systems. I hope when I go in again today that I get someone that will stay on task with my request….
