Discover allowed PlayStation to continually charge me $88 for at least 3 years, off an expired card number. I had recently activated text notifications for my card, and was alerted to the newest charge. I contacted Discover to let them know, this was not me, I haven't had used a Playstation account in 3 years, and they said they had to let the charge go through before disputing. I only disputed the newest $88 charge, however Discover decided I needed to prove to them I no longer had an account. And to trust that NEXT year, they'll disallow the charge. Member since 2010, never doing business with them again.

I wanted to give a huge shoutout to Francis from Arizona for being absolutely amazing! She was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely so fun to talk to. From the moment we got on the phone, I felt like she really listened to my needs and made sure everything was taken care of. She was patient, informative, and clearly knows exactly what she’s doing. Honestly, the phone call was not only helpful, but super enjoyable too! Francis made the whole experience easy and positive, and I truly felt taken care of. She deserves all the recognition (and honestly a raise!) for how wonderful she is at what she does.

After my elderly mother's card was spoofed or cloned or copied or whatever the term is, I had to empty my savings into her account to cover the expense because customer service was no help at all. This happened about 3 years ago, and I am still recoiling and recovering from their failure as a company to honor their promised anti-fraud agreements. When they did agree to refund part of the expense, they mailed a check--a paper check--which took time to clear the bank! They sucked the money out of her account INSTANTLY but, when it came to returning a portion of the funds, they mailed a PAPER CHECK with FULL KNOWLEDGE that was going to be an inconvenience. Talking to customer service was a nightmare. First, every person I spoke to was a woman which, in itself, is not a bad thing. But none of them really seemed to be able to follow what I was telling them:
3. The last rep I spoke to (and make no mistake, it took about a half dozen calls to get this even partially resolved) was so rude to me and disrespectful, I am sure she was a misandrist. When I had to convey to my mother what was being said (because the rep would not accept what I said about my mother being hard-of-hearing), she barked at me that I needed to "shut up and don't speak!"
After this, I got my mother a MasterCard on my own account and CLOSED the Discover account. Discover has gotten too big for their britches that they think they can give their customer service minimal training, allow work-from-home options when home is not a stable environment for some of their employees, and treat family members looking out for vulnerable seniors with such ugliness and disrespect. Let Discover discover how bad they are and avoid them!

They offer to their customers $$ if they refer someone. Received the money BUT they signed me up for the wrong card. Even though it's their mistake they want me to apply for another credit card and hit my credit record! Each time you call you get the nice, sweet, kind, etc person BUT different answers! Very disappointed in them and can see (of course) it's all about the money, don't care about YOUR credit record.

They refused my dispute and refused to send back my money. I proved to them the product was returned and had money back guarantee. It we mailed back certified mail. It was returned timely.

Terrible company whose buggy website made me waste all my cashback. Should have stuck to points cards and not given them my business. Will be cancelling. They don't value their customers and will do nothing to help you if there's a problem. Give your money to better companies.

This CC company is horrible! If you get scammed by a company they will allow it with zero proof. Avis car rental charged my card 344.00 saying I damaged the car and Discover sided with Avis. I don’t trust this CC company to charge anything anymore period! When I turned in the car it was inspected and I was given my deposit back then about a month later I got charged for bogus damages! I was in disbelief that discover sided with this type of fraud!

I am writing concerning a complaint about one of your customer representatives, CLAUDIA. I called 5/13/26@ 9:15 am. I have been a member for years and love Discover and have ALWAYS had wonderful service except for today. CLAUDIA was very SHORT, RUDE and very unprofessional. It is evident she does not like her job!!!!! She got VERY IRRITATED when I asked a few questions. These type of incidences with reps are what drive customers away!!!!!

Just minutes ago at circa 10: 15 A.M. PST I phoned 800 347-2683. The purpose? To obtain a Re: Re: Aiming to obtain easily money from one's extant cash back balance. Today, 5-9-26, I phoned customer service and first I asked that a check in that amount be posted to me (at my mailing address of record). After being put on hold for several minutes, I was told Discover "no longer does that." Even though previously when I had a Capital One (which bought Discover earlier) credit card account I was mailed a check for cash back monies owed to me.
Second, I then requested that the sum in question be deposited /wired to my U.S. Bank checking account, the same account I've repeatedly and solely used to send payment due checks to Discover. No, I was told. Instead, first I'd have to set up an online Discover account. Something I've never been interested in doing, for multiple reasons. Which is why, and despite Discover's now prior multiple email attempts to prod me to open such an online account, and, e.g., thereafter obtain online statements, make payments online, etc., nonetheless I've persisted to conduct all such business by mail. So again, no thanks.
Third, I then asked about being mailed a cash card for the above cited cash back award amount , which of course, e.g., can be used to make purchases at the grocery store. No again, I was told. Instead the only option is to request a gift card, e.g., for some restaurant. A resolute no thanks again. Great customer service by Discover-NOT! Clearly, Discover, by its notably unaccommodating posture, does not want me to remain an account holder. So be it.

I fell behind on my payments and discover offered me three options to get my payments back on track, but if none of them worked for me, they gave me the option to reach out to customer service via messaging to see what other options they had. I unfortunately was connected to Robert, who never offered me any payment plans.
He told me there was none available, even though I literally saw three of them before I connected to the chat. Then, he was more concerned with updating my contact information than making an unhappy customer happy again after his interaction or addressing my comment about how he was unhelpful by denying me a payment plan that I knew was available to me. Then, he updated my contact information even though I told him he didn't have the correct one. The money they make off of the interest of my credit card, I should at least get subpar customer service, not trash.
