Don't BUY LG MICROWAVE. I purchased Last Feb 2025, with in 6 month broke, took 3 months to fix it. After fixing in 4 month again broke. Still 1 year warranty period is not over, they are saying can't do anything. Lose on money and valuable time to call, wait in home to fix.

I purchased an LG over the stove microwave. It smokes and the timing table does not stay put. I’ve been trying for 7 weeks for Lg to rectify this and they keep cancelling my complaint. I asked to speak with a supervisor was on hold for a long time, then disconnected. I called back and they wouldn’t forward me to a supervisor. I now want a refund. This is ridiculous.

    I have owned 3 LG microwaves in 6 years. I did not want to purchase a 3rd but we did because it fit in the space...NEVER AGAIN!!!! Beware DO NOT BUY. THEY BREAK NO MATTER WHAT. All different on all 3 microwaves and the company is horrible. The company offers nothing in return to make it right. Sensors, electronics, heating source and door breaking. I'm warning you. Stay away.

    I purchased my MVEM1825F microwave in 9/2024. Last week (11/3/2025) the noise increased while I was using it and it stopped heating the food. I had it checked out and the magnetron went bad. Turns out just the part is $123.00 and the warranty is expired. Four years ago I bought a LG refrigerator. I gave the Whirlpool refrigerator I had to my daughter. Four months ago the LG refrigerator started cooling unevenly. The repair cost was very high so I thought I would live with the problem. Two months later it stopped cooling altogether. My daughter bought a new refrigerator so I took my Whirlpool back and am now using it. I do not plan on buying any more LG appliances.

    I ordered this microwave and arrived dented and non functional. LG is claiming that they can't refund me or replace the damaged unit because is beyond the return period (order received on 8/25, complained on 9/13). Do not buy this microwave if you don't want to spend almost $450 in vain. LG and their customer service have been very unhelpful and unpleasant. I will never buy another LG product. 2.0 cu. ft.     Bought Model MVEM1721F August 2024, interior light failed May 2024. Not a user bulb replacement like most microwaves... needs a repairman. Made a warranty to LG and they sent out their contract repairman and after looking at it and scratching his head, he said "We can't fix this unit because LG has not given us the repair guides for this model."

    Customer service promised a new repairman would be assigned not once... not twice... not thrice, it just never happened. After 2 months LG decided it could not find anyone to provide the warranty service. LG said to go further with the claim I will have to prove I bought the microware with a store receipt with the store logo on it. Next I had to peel off the date sticker with the model and serial number and email the picture of the same. A week later I was required to fedex both to them. 3 months later still nor a completed resolution. Will never subject myself again to a LG product even if FREE. Local well respected repairman said he would not touch this unit as the light out probably indicates a major circuit fault! Review deserves a ZERO because the customer service is so poor.

    I'm absolutely livid with my LG microwave experience! The Magnetron model stopped working properly less than 2 years in, despite the 10-year warranty claim. When I reached out to LG, they directed me to authorized dealers for repairs, with a hefty price tag of $260 for repair or $50 + tax for diagnosis. To add insult to injury, their customer service admitted that repair might not be possible, leaving me stuck with the diagnosis fee.

    All our appliances are LG. Purchased this over range as a companion to LG Induction range. There are No pluses to this microwave - except it does the bare min. Nuking food. The major issue is the placement of the exhaust fans or orientation. It does not remove steam smoke etc from the front "burners". The moisture builds to a where it is literally dripping from the front & under microwave & upper cabinets. The moisture buildup is causing the paint to peel on the cabinets. We had it reviewed to ensure proper install. It is. LG says our cabinets are defective. This is a standard build. We had no problem with a basic whirlpool model we had before. Other negs:

    The placement of controls obscures view of food cooking.
    The internal and external lights are useless. Dim/placed in unuseful area.
    It is LOUD.

    A pain to clean as it has a myriad of dips and "cutouts" in the bottom.

    Disgusted and very disappointed in this appliance and LGs response to concerns.

    5 year old microwave. Junk. Absolute garbage. No heat. Part is more expensive than a new microwave. What absolute garbage. Whirlpool dishwasher, fridge, washer, dryer. 7-15 years old. All work flawlessly.

    I purchased the 2.0 cu. ft. microwave less than 2 years ago. The inside is peeling. I only wash with warm water, no chemicals ever, wiped down after use, etc. Agent reports it's only cosmetic damage. Agent states that the warranty is only for 1 year but it wouldn't cover this kind of damage, since it is "just cosmetic." Do not purchase. Customer service directed to a repair company 2 hours from my home. I should have read reviews. My last microwave lasted 15 years. This was such a disappointment, and a severe waste of money.
