Citizens Bank is horrible. Made a mistake on the mobile app when I sent a wire. My recipient brokerage account sent the money back and didn't charge me a thing. Citizens Bank charged me a 30 outgoing fee for an unsuccessful wire and another 20$ fee for an incoming wire that my brokerage sent back. This is crazy and unacceptable. I will be closing my account out and bank somewhere else.

So I deposited a $6000 from one of my accounts to pay off my credit card. They put a one week hold on the funds while charging me interest. This is stupid because the funds already left my other bank account.

I originally banked with HSBC, and Citizens bought them. I have struggled from day one with getting into my account. I honestly didn't touch it, which was my fault. However, I managed to get into the account and noticed they were charging me a $5 dormant fee once a month without any notification. I tried to transfer my money to my other bank to close the account. I could not log onto the website and then my login information no longer worked on the app. I called and no one was able to assist me and informed me that I should have gotten a letter in the mail regarding a dormant fee. The best they did was waive 6 months of fees. I am still struggling to get into my account, which they will not close until I transfer money. I cannot transfer unless I get into my account. I will never use Citizens again, nor did I actually sign up to bank with them. My money has been stuck there due to getting access to my account.

They took a flawless system of check paying and turned it into shit. For over 20 years I used their check paying system without a problem. Now it's nothing but problems. They split the screen. You can't see what is going on with your money and they added all types of companies on that screen, that have nothing to do with me, that I'm sure they are getting AD fees for. You cannot keep track of what's going out. Every time I use it I get pissed. They screwed it up for no reason.

Went to the teller at 11.40 am at dover branch, to ask a question because I forgot my card in the machine and that person (a blondie person with short hair) answer me with real bad attitude like she was taking care of another customer and there wasn't anyone in her window, customer service personnel should be polite, not the way she act < that's unacceptable. The CEO will know about this situation.

This bank is terrible. No one can tell you answers. They close your cards with no explanation! Everyone telling you different stuff and nothing is clear! I have talked to 10 different people and they all said something different! My account been under review since December. You can’t review an account without talking to the customer themselves and I have yet to talk to anyone! I dislike this bank to the maximum!

Horseshit customer service, have to get transferred between a bunch of different departments, and they ain’t got a clue how to help. Keep no records of conversations it seems like. I even let my credit card go months with a hold on it because I had no interest in talking with them and getting bounced around reps to talk with, they all don’t have a sniff of a clue

I opened a HELOC with Citizens Bank in 2023. In July of 2024, I had used about 60% of the funds and was making on time monthly payments via direct deposit. When I attempted to log in and see my balance, my credentials failed. Come to find out they "suspected fraud" on my account. Since July of 2024 through December of 2025, I have no access to view my statement, access my funds, etc. I would call customer service and they would refer me to a branch, I would visit a branch and they would tell me to call customer service. Thankfully when I opened the account, I set up automatic payments because I couldn't even see how much was due for over a year. My only option was to pay off the account, which I did. Now I have no access to the $1600+ that I overpaid. What are my options folks. They're earning interest on my money that I can't access.
