Recently purchased a LG window A/C. Within two weeks started rattling. Almost too noisy to sleep. Even spooked the dogs so bad went to the kennel to sleep. Would never purchase anything with the LG brand again. Sorry I did this time. Will stay with Frigidaire. So much for trying to save a few dollars. Buyer beware. Noisy and junk.

We have purchased a LG 25,000 BTU air conditioning unit in July 2025 and the compressor stopped working after 30 days. Home Depot will not replace or refund and tell you to contact LG. We did and the worst customer service ever experienced, out of the country, barely understand English, reading script for sure, they have no clue what they are doing and after hours on the phone still have no resolution. They ask the same questions over and over, same photos, same everything over and over. It's absolutely insane. I have basically lost $700 to get no help at all. And I’ll never purchase anything with LG on the name OR from Home Depot! Complete madness…. Stay away from their products. It’s not worth the chance!

Hello and good afternoon. I am writing this review so other customers know what they are purchasing if interested in this ac unit I purchased. I recently purchased an LG portable ac unit to help the downstairs of my house. This air conditioner works very well and cools cold and fast. But here lies the problem. This unit does not have an energy saving mode therefore it will run nonstop and freeze the room to death. It will not stop running until you turn up the thermostat manually to just run the fan.
Second problem is when you are sitting there and the temperature reaches a higher number in the room than you have the unit set on you have to manually get up and lower the unit temperature for it to blow cold again. This is a very very old technology for a brand new machine. I'm very disappointed that a company as LG has charged a high price for old technology. If you're into having to manually run a unit that costs a lot to cool your house this is the one. If you want a good unit with energy saving mode and better technology do not buy this one. The model # is LP1021BSSM. This is my honest review of LG Portable Air Conditioner.

We purchased a $800 LG Air Conditioner for an adult disabled workshop 37 days ago. On day 29 it stopped working and gave an error code. We tried taking back to Lowe's and they said because we didn't buy the warranty, (it wasn't offered) they would not take back. We walked in to buy 2 air conditioners because we wanted to use out tax exempt certificate and had never set up an account with lowes. Anyway, so they gave us the info to contact LG. LG has been AWFUL to deal with and they LIE about when you should receive an answer/response about a replacement unit. We had to jump thru hoops to even get them to replace it spent an hour plus on the phone. FINALLY got approval for new but can not get information on WHEN replacement will be sent/received. DO NOT BUY LG EVER.

Horrible experience. State of the art $15,000 unit not even two years old has broken down three times. Warranty is useless. No one will repair it. Customer service is as special as ice in the winter. They justify a paycheck by showing up. No response from anyone. Do not even entertain a thought of dealing with this company. They take your money and run. Rip off artist. They take pleasure in ripping off senior citizens. It’s a shame I can’t give it less than one star.

I have an LG LUU360HHV Heat pump just over two years old. Has a defective compressor that sounds like an airplane taking off. So loud it is disrupting my sleep. My HVAC tech waited 2 hours on two separate occasions to do diagnostics on it to be able to say it qualifies for warranty replacement. My HVAC tech complains LG tech support is awful, and customer service is no better. While part is under warranty, I will have to pay all labor. I called to complain, and got sent to various numbers. Nobody would give me a way to reach management. So I'll have to say it here: LG, your product and your service suck. Other customers be forewarned. Note: If I get a satisfactory response from LG, I will be happy to change my review.

Poor LG customer service and defect in the actual item. Recently I had an issue with the air conditioner that we purchased around a year ago. Because of this, we decided to call the LG customer service department to see if we can find any potential solutions to our problem. I was on call for hours, being transferred to multiple departments that did not address our concerns with the AC unit. When I finally got connected to a representative of the AC unit department, no direct solution was given and instead my time was wasted yet again. I was told to write an email, so I reached out to the Presidential Liaison; they gave me a call which I missed (since I was busy with work), and when I tried to call them back I had to restart the process of reaching the specific department, to which they responded back with a text message saying they have closed the case.
In the end we were only given a 15% discount of any other items from LG. Needless to say I am very disappointed with the approach customer service took and I will not be purchasing any other LG products in the future. Those who are considering working with or purchasing LG products should reconsider, and many other people and I have had a negative experience with this company.

Have an LG mini split that is 6 months old. It's primary heat for the Buffalo area. Compressor went. HVAC guy was on phone w them for 4 hrs troubleshooting. Sent a new compressor 2 weeks later that went bad in under 2 hrs. LG refuses to do anything. I wouldn't wipe in the bathroom w their warranty. Finally after lots of back and forth, I replaced the entire unit w a Mitsubishi. I have numerous buildings and would never install an LG in any of them. Every HVAC guy I've spoken w on the area won't even work on them saying they have become junk w terrible replacement parts and horrible customer service.

Just purchased the 14000 BTU Smart AC. Not easy to install, as it's quite heavy. You must slide the main unit out of the outer frame (install the frame to the window and then slide unit in), but getting it out was a nightmare. After 45 minutes of frustration and watching a YouTube video to make sure I wasn't do anything wrong, I finally had to take a rubber mallet and a wooden dowel and whack the hell out of the main unit MANY times for it to start moving out (come to find out that the foam inside had been wrinkled/jammed on installation at the factory).
Regular cooling mode works quite well. Low-speed cools efficiently and very quietly. Smart setup w/ Alexa was quick and easy. However, "Dry" mode (which is supposed to dry more than cool) is pretty useless - it turns off/on every 10-30 seconds! No matter what the temp is set to - even 3 degrees below the actual room temp - it constantly powers on/off. The unit almost never stays on for more than 30 seconds (and most of the time it's much shorter).

LG company is horrible. Do not buy any of their products. I purchased four 10,000 BTU A/C's at $500. In 2021. All four had defective water pumps. A tech finally arrived at my home, and Covid started. It took nine mos for the parts to arrive, he installed three and it was already winter. He disappeared and all four are garbage.LG customer service refused to acknowledge my situation. I had to give up the fight, since I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
