Purchased 6 wood outdoor chairs, one cut incorrectly. Cannot get a replacement or refund from manufacturer. Got the runaround from Houzz support team saying I’m past warranty when my first complaint was within warranty. No communication in weeks. Don’t use this company. I should’ve looked at their reviews before I placed order. I’ve just bought a summer home and will not be placing any more orders with Houzz.

    Placed an order with them and after eight days still nothing from the about it being shipped. Put in a ticket…no response. Emailed different addresses…no response. Found a different email address and this is what I wrote them… I am formally canceling order # ** ] (Alpaca Rocker) effective immediately. It has been 8 days without a shipping confirmation or any communication. I have attempted to contact your support lines and live chat multiple times with no success. Under the FTC Mail-Order Rule, since the item has not shipped within a reasonable timeframe and you have failed to provide a delay notice, I am entitled to a full refund to my original payment method. Please confirm this refund has been processed within 24 hours. Phones are down and emails are ignored. I want a refund." NO RESPONSE. KEEP AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

    This is absolutely one of the worst online experience of my life! I have ordered from Houzz over the years without any issues until recently. I must say I have not ordered from them in a few years before this latest order and it has gone straight down the toilet! First of all, the first order I placed was for a curtain holder that wouldn't even stay on the curtain, it slid right off and so it was not usable. I returned it and was charged a re-stocking fee, even though the product didn't work! I also ordered a stand for my vintage hanging bubble chair at almost $450 dollars and when it arrived, the order was actually in 2 tracking numbers, even though Houzz only gave me one. I didn't know this until the order arrived missing the other part of it. I got the other tracking number from Houzz and was told it was also going to be delivered that same day, and it was not.

    The next day I was told it would be delivered the next business day, despite the tracking still showing that the product has never left the FedEx warehouse in Orlando, Fl. ON the 3rd day, I again tracked the delivery and is still showing it being in Orlando at Fedex. Each time I called over the past 3 days, Houzz reps told me the same lie, that they called Fedex and the order was being delivered that day. They even sent me emails stating the same thing.

    Today I called and let them know that I am leaving the home and will not be here to accept any more deliveries for months and I need a return label for the part that I have. They again tried to tell me its out for delivery and that they spoke to Fedex, and threatened me with a partial refund if I don't return the entire order even though the entire order was not delivered in the time they said it would be delivered. I am now having to contact my credit card company to dispute this charge and get a full refund without penalty because this thieving company of liars wants to hold me responsible for their missing shipment that didn't get here in time and has no prospect of getting here before I am gone. Stay clear of this company! They are dishonest crooked lying thieves!

    Truly terrible customer service. One order started trying to communicate through their web form on April 6 and after multiple attempts, got a generic response on April 22 not addressing the issue. Then started trying to cancel rest of order that had not shipped yet and request refund, no response again, then they shipped it anyway. Still trying to get a response using their web form and request refund and return.

    Ordered $300 worth of pillows from Houzz. The colors were not what I was hoping for. Initiated a request for RMA on March 23. Received a response on March 26th stating they initiated a return request and would send RMA. April 17th and approximately 8 follow ups with no response and STILL NO RMA provided.

    Houzz cancels my order a week after I requested it. Was expecting the vanity when promised to complete bathroom renovation but now the project completion will be pushed back at least 3 weeks. No explanation as to why the order was canceled, and no response to my request for more information. The item I was looking for is still on their website for anyone else to experience what we went through.

    I ordered a side table and within a half hour I sent a cancellation request. No response. I sent another email the next morning, again no response. Impossible to find a phone number for Shophouzz. 2 days later they shipped the item. First was told I canceled within the timeframe and now am told I have to pay to return shiping. Very dishonest and poor business practices.

    Horrible follow up and response. I had sold the business and was not monitoring email closely or using the service, which they have the ability to see. Not that it would have been easy to catch the 1 email reminder that they were auto charging me $1100, mixed in with the hundreds of spam email from them. I did not want auto renew on in the first place. I called them within a month of them charging me a higher price than the prior year for the auto renewal. They would not even credit me back partial, even though they could see I had not logged in or used the service for many months before the end of the original term.

    I spoke with my original rep who was going to see if he could get me something, but I have never heard back. I have sent 5 follow up emails, roughly 1 per month, copying every contact I have in their company, including the main customer service for the service I am currently unintentionally subscribed to for $1100 for an additional year. I have not received a single reply. And just like all scam rip off companies who want to stick you with auto-renewal against your will, there is no way on their website to cancel the subscription or service, or remove payment method. Do not use this scam rip off company for anything.

    I have been a professional buying from HOUZZ for several years and overall happy with their service. However, since mid 2025, Houzz has changed their policies and the customer service is HORRIBLE!!! I recently received a defective chair and in the past it would have been an easy process to submit photos and a replacement would be shipped. Now, they are not responsive and when I do get someone on the phone, they are requesting that I return the defective chair at my expense. This is NOT the same company that I have worked with for years!!

    I have used every ERP and estimating system there is. Houzz is the absolute worst. They have the absolute hands down worst tech support. It does not exist. Completely unresponsive. Complete waste of money. Going back to Job tread where the support is amazing and far, far far more features. If I could give Houzz a rating it would be -5. Brian Hall, Ex user Houzz.
