There's a option to send messages or inquiries through their website. Which I believe is a great tool. The issue is, they fail to respond to questions. You end up calling them, and they give you a excuse for no response.

Sent claim for a vomiting issue that had undetermined cause. Claimed I gave my dog pork-flavored Apoquel even though she was allergic. When I provided proof that she was vomiting before the Apoquel was given and only given 1/2 tablet. They changed to Molly had GI issues before so pre-existing condition. My Vet provided documentation for appeal that Molly's vomiting was not from Apoquel. She didn't know what caused it.
When I told Prudent that my previous insurance covered the previous vomiting issues and they too had pre-existing clause they ignored it. Even after Molly's 1st episode was from eating something off the ground (accident) and 2nd was I needed to change her feeding schedule. All diagnostic showed no GI upset. This included 2 blood tests and an ultrasound all negative.

I canceled my Insurance, had wrong info in it. Was going to get them again til this company took more money out next day after claiming refund. I have been talking to them 3 days and more excuses. They lie and steal, have emails stating 3 time day after trying to take amount out for 3rd time. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE BAD.... BAD PEOPLE.

I signed up for the wellness program and you know it's not even worth it. I got my dog spayed. They are like a pawn shop. You spend hundreds of dollars only for them to give you back $20-$40. Then if your dog has any kind of parasite before you sign up and you get an all clear but they get a parasite again, they'll reject the claim because it's considered a pre-existing disease since it hasn't been a year since they have been cleared of that parasite. Ugh. Yeah, so, basically I have a puppy who really doesn't need insurance because here I am paying $80.00 bucks a month and whenever I send in a claim I can't even get back a solid return. I might as well pay everything on my own. This is a waste of money. I need a policy covers dollar for dollar. Where is that company?

Prudent Pet made every step of the reimbursement process fast and easy! Following our dog's surgery, their online filing allowed me to upload invoices and they kept in touch by email along the way. Reimbursement was received in a timely manner. We are so pleased and have recommended them to friends!

I shopped for pet insurance and found Prudent Pet was cost effective and had decent coverage. I have submitted claims online and it was user friendly and easy. Every time I have called Prudent Pet with questions, the service representative has been so helpful and caring. Happy we went with Prudent Pet. :)

We have had Prudent Pet since our Frenchie was a puppy. They’ve been great as far as reimbursement time and we’ve never had any problems with our claims. Including emergency vet visits, etc. I am hoping they have an app soon instead of logging onto the website but, their website works fine on the phone and computer as well. We chose Prudent Pet because it was affordable and covers possible hereditary conditions that a lot of other companies don’t cover. The only complaint I have is that our premium jumped up and is about $20 MORE a month than it was last year, and our dog is not even 2 years old yet nor has he had any major health issues to cause such a big premium jump.
It’s still more affordable than other companies I’ve looked into, and I know it has to do with this past year’s inflation, etc. so it’s understandable, but we were told when we signed up it typically doesn’t jump up more than $10 each year. So almost over $20 more was a shock. Like I said though, I get the reasoning as vets (and human healthcare) are costing more and more now with the inflation of prices with the products they need to keep our dogs (and us) healthy. That is our only frustration but I’m sure this happened with every insurance this year. If you don’t have pet insurance, we highly recommend Prudent Pet. Also, when we called to ask questions when I was researching different insurances, not once did I feel pressured and they answered questions without promises to sign up. So far they’ve exceeded our expectations. :)

The team approved a claim and then said they weren't going to approve it and took months to even get back to me. The amount of time spent on the claim far exceeded the claim amount. They didn't fully grasp the situation and took far too long to respond.

Submitting claims was quick and easy, I like that vaccines and spay/neuter can be reimbursed. I just wished that there was a plan that had a payout of higher than $2,000. It’s affordable but I would have paid more per month for a larger payout plan for sure.

When my furbaby was sick unexpectedly the insurance helped. It was easy to submit claim and it was processed quickly. I highly recommend them for your pet insurance needs, I've sent friends to them in the past, and was pleasantly rewarded with an Amazon gift card. Lucky us. Karma and I thank you.
