We got into this based on the information we received at the initial appointment. There was a lot of information that was never disclosed at that time. We didn't receive what we were promised. Nothing ended up being what we were told, and they are very lack on billing so you even know what you should pay or owe them.

RCI will not stop calling me despite repeatedly telling them to stop. My number is on the do not call registry and for several years I receive several calls per week from them. They are pushy, hang up on me, and use robo dialers to harass me. These people should be put out of business permanently.

We arrived at 1 PM and were told our room was not ready and would probably not be ready until 4 PM. We went next door for a long lunch and sat in the lobby for two hours, watching other people arrive and be given their rooms right away. I asked the receptionist if she could check again to see if there was a room for us, and she said no, our room is at the end of the hallway and rooms are cleaned from the other end of the hotel, working their way to ours. It seems odd to me that there is only one room in the whole resort that can accommodate us. Plus there were no apologies, no offer to let us sit by the pool. There is no bathroom in the lobby. There is no one to help with luggage. Truly a disappointing experience.

Buyer beware!!! We "won" "tour" on wheel spin at Home Show in San Diego. RCI is biggest scam ever.... Please read up on all these reviews where hardworking people have been, or are getting, scammed. When I explained that I certainly couldn't ruin my credit by "investing in their real estate" the rudeness began. When we were leaving and the head "Boss" had to sign us out .... with a smile, I told him I couldn't invest in this type of "real estate" with a twisted effect, borderline downright cruelty.... He said "We don't need you .... We have millions of people" .... That should say enough .... Avoid at all costs!!!!

Wife was contacted by a promotion she won 8 days/7 nights, 3 days/2 nights stay along with a $25 gift card. They give you instructions on how to get there and their qualifications include:

      “Eligibility Requirements

Must bring two forms of Identification:

1: Picture ID, such as a driver’s license or a passport.

2: Major Credit Card that is not an ATM, Debit, or Prepaid Card with your name on it we can see

Couples (1) Person must be between the ages of 25 and 75 years old with an annual income of at least $50,000 (before taxes, couples may combine their income)

If married, engaged or have a significant other both parties must come together.

Single Females: Must be 28-75 years old, with an annual income of a least $50,000.”

First introduction they want to hold your license and “credit card” to verify it’s you. Better safe than sorry. Never let anyone hold your identification card. It’s okay, they can read it from your hand and if hard to read because of the light they can be nice to ask to rotate so it doesn’t reflect the light. They recommend listening to their “2 hour sales pitch”. Ours was well over 3.5 hours. We kept an open mind but they were very pushy sales individuals. You don’t marry the person you go on one date with once and only have a few conversations with. If you decide to change your mind afterwards you can’t get it the deal. That’s okay, maybe it wasn’t meant to be.

We walked out because it took a lot longer than expected and they weren’t catching the hint or could read the individuals they were trying to propose a sale to. They reeled us back inside to try to figure out if they did a good job on the sales pitch but to only escorted back out promptly less than a minute later. Went back to their main office to get the paperwork for the gifts we were promised. For the gift card we would have to go someplace else to get that gift card, we negated that experience as we spent more than enough time there.

After thought, be advised on what you wear, and look like, they will try to use it as a stepping stone for trying to convince you. You may have a dream to possibly travel and they want to sell you on it from their approach. Taking out debt to go on vacation isn’t worth the risk (reference Dave Ramsey) after reading all the reviews. After someone signs up they bring out some champagne and get a toast from the room to say congratulations with their expected trip to “so and so”. From my interaction was the sellers were bought on Babylon and trying to sell individuals on it. We don’t need luxury or riches to be happy. Just each other. On the up side the sellers were polite and not condescending, hence the two stars.

Wish I could just give negative stars because they don't deserve any. It's a total money pit. Anything and everything they said to us is not how it works. We are constantly paying for all sorts of fees for the last 5 years and have only been able to use our points once (and that one time it still never covered the trip and it still cost us money). Every time we have tried to book something there is always a catch. And the points (that you are making payments on will expire and then there is another fee to roll them over!)

PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM RCI. If you go to a seminar do not be fooled into purchasing their vacation packages. My experience with them has been horrible. At the seminar, I was told 1 thing about the monthly payments but when I received my monthly bill it was over $200.00 more per month than I was promised. When I called RCI to inquire why I was not given the right information and I wanted it fixed I was told there is only a 3 day cancellation policy and it was too late. Problem was I didn't receive the bill for 3 weeks. Then I was told they were sorry for misinforming me and they wanted me to stay and would I been interested in a 10 year plan instead of lifetime plan which was cheaper.

I was already told they were giving me my money back so I was willing to save whatever I could. The lady helping me, Shaneen, would tell me things that weren't true and fumble over herself when I questioned her. Last week I spoke with her as to the status of the transfer to the 10 year plan and she was to get back with me within 2 days. I heard nothing. Today, I contacted reservations to book my first trip which I was told by Shaneen just last week that I could do and RCI told me I was canceled from way back in June. When I contacted Shaneen who works for RCI to ask what happened she said she didn't even know I was cancelled until I told her.

Bottom Line -no one at this company talks to each other and no one knows what is going on but they have that salesman mentality to just make stuff up as they go along. I could not be happier that I am done with RCI and I just hope enough people see this and don't back themselves into a corner on something they cannot afford. My original salesman, initials are AF, (in Orlando) I couldn't read his signature on my paperwork, contacted me over the phone and was completely awful to me when he couldn't "salesman sweet talk" me. He ended up telling me, "Go ahead. Get a lawyer. We have a team full of lawyers here so good luck to you."

But the worst part was when I questioned him about why he gave me the wrong information about the monthly payments he said it was because when I went to sign everything with someone else I picked the wrong option and should have listened to him. He had just gone over so much information with me that day that my head was spinning and I didn't recall him telling me to "make sure I pick a certain option". When I said why didn't you come into the room with me and make sure your coworker knew what I needed? His response to me was I could have requested he be in the room but I didn't so that was my fault. He was so arrogant and nasty. If you don't want all the extra stress don't do it.

The process the call RCI to book a reservation at a resort is a scam. I have called RCI on Saturday to book a reservation and specifically asked about check in time for a specific accommodation and received a lie as a response. Yet no problem charging my credit card with exchange fees for an owner to book a reservation. One of the guests is a DISABLED VET and I have called WILDERNESS PRESIDENTIAL RESORT for FIVE days in a row to request accommodations for a DISABLED VET to request reasonable accommodations.

Upon calling the resort I am advised: not a member for the location, RCI takes a couple of days to send request to resort, can not see the request because it is a holiday weekend. Reservation booked three days ago. I am going to contact the Media and my government elected officials regarding the poor service. The multiple instances of poor service requiring multiple phone calls and receiving no service is sickening and I am sick of it. I am asked to call back on Monday due to the holiday weekend for a 7 day a week open reservation line.

Purchased a package when I was healthy. When my health deteriorated and I became disabled, I requested to cancel service. Was asked by Collector Erick ** to provide medical documents. I provided as much medical info (All my doctor's details and conditions) without violating the HIPPA law. It's bad enough that I don't want to share my medical conditions, but have. Mr. ** denied the request then offered me another service agreement.

I replied that I'm disabled & could not use the services. It was ignored and I was threatened that I would be placed for collections. Then I had a death of a family member and shared with him. Mr. ** then emailed me to "TAKE MY TIME REVIEWING THE EMAILS AND DOCUMENTS" on May 29th. I replied back on June 5th and 10th, advised I just also lost my service dog and had to bury him, and since I'm being forced to sign an agreement I don't agree with, let's move forward.

I asked to change the start date to July 1st, since it had a start date of May 1st. No response, so I signed the document in hopes not to be forced to file bankruptcy due to my medical expenses. Now I've been reach out by a collection agency. I replied to the agency's email including Mr. ** that I had signed the agreement. Mr. ** replied and stated the agreement is not accepted. I replied to him that he at NO TIME PROVIDED A DEADLINE, in fact in his email told me to take my time. I have many emails supporting the facts!!

This experience has been horrible and RCI has demonstrated poor compassion or customer service to a client. This will be escalated to Corporate and will be reaching out to President Langan **, CEO Robert **, CFO Phillip ** as well as Directors such as Luke **, Michael **, Alan **, etc... This will not stop here. Getting an attorney for the HIPPA Law violation to file suit. I simply asked to cancel the service agreement, but being placed with collections has hit the fan! I will continue to write as many negative reviews and share my experience throughout....

I was contacted to attend a meeting to learn about the changes at RCI for next year. There I was told that RCI should have offered me the pay as you go option in 2017. Not to worry, KTO travel would $21,500 trade credit for an equity transfer. They could get rid of my timeshare and enroll me in Club Dreamstar (RCI owned). No more maintenance, RCI dues or exchange fees, for only $12,500. And of course I believe they just want to help me.
