Tesla Energy panels and equipment

Tesla’s solar panels allow you to generate clean energy for your home whenever the sun is shining. The solar system designed for your home will likely have multiple panels that work together to meet your energy needs. When paired with a Powerwall battery, you can save excess solar energy generated by your solar panels to use during power outages or at peak energy usage times.

The panels work in almost all weather conditions and can endure extreme hot and cold temperatures. They operate in temperatures from -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit.

Tesla solar installation

Your Tesla energy advisor works with you to ensure your home is ready once installation day rolls around. They can help you identify any preconstruction needed before installing the solar panels, such as upgrading your main electrical panel or repairing your roof.

The company partners with certified solar roof installers around the country, so you can find a solution even if you don’t live in an area where Tesla does installations.

The team can install most solar systems in one to three days. However, if you’re installing a larger or more complex system, it could take longer. Once the installation is complete, Tesla submits documentation to your utility company. After approval from the utility, you’ll get permission to turn on your solar system. Tesla will notify you when it is approved and safe to turn on your system.

Tesla Energy services

In addition to solar panels, Tesla Energy offers Solar Roofs, the Powerwall integrated battery system and charging systems for Tesla vehicles.

The Solar Roof is made of glass solar tiles and steel roofing tiles that look natural on your roof. Its systems come with a 25-year tile and power warranty. Steel tiles are corrosion and weather resistant, and the system has a high rating for wind and fire safety. The solar roof fully integrates with the rest of your solar energy system.

Powerwall is an integrated battery system that stores the solar energy produced by your system. It is designed to be a backup battery that can be used whenever the power grid goes down.

Tesla offers retail electricity through Tesla Electric. The company offers a home charging plan that is available in eligible areas of Texas. The plan allows customers to charge their electric vehicles at home for a reduced charging cost. Anyone can sign up for Tesla Electric, but if you have a Tesla EV, you can opt into the unlimited home charging plan.

Tesla Energy cost

Tesla Energy does not list solar energy prices on its website. You can get a quote online to learn more.

Overall, the cost of Tesla energy products and services depends on several factors, including your location, energy usage and local utility rates. Tesla provides resources to help you estimate and manage your energy costs, such as the charging calculator and the charge stats feature in the Tesla app.

Financing options

Tesla Energy offers three payment options: Tesla Financing, cash purchase and leasing. Both financing and cash purchase options offer 10-year comprehensive and 25-year panel performance warranties. If you lease, the maintenance is covered by Tesla.

Tesla Financing requires a $0 down payment, with your first monthly payment due 35 days after your system receives permission to operate, with the following payments due on the same day of the month as your first payments.

Cash purchases require the full cost due at the time of inspection. Leasing requires a $600 down payment to get started.

Tesla Energy warranty

Tesla offers a 10-year comprehensive warranty for your entire solar system, including the Powerwall batteries, solar inverter and roof-mounting components. The company also guarantees its solar panels to perform at 80% or more of their stated power capacity for 25 years.

I installed a Tesla solar system 3 years ago. For the last 2 years it was broken twice. I understand it is a complex system that can sometimes break, but not every year.... This time it broke on Jan 20, and it was fixed only on April 24. It was a nightmare to reach customer support, and they referred me to different tiers, not providing real ECDs and not wanting to send a technician onsite, stating that they need to check it first virtually and that it is my internet fault. I went through the hassle of changing all internet equipment and paying for it when it was unnecessary.

Eventually after the arrival of the Tesla technician, it was fixed, and the technician stated that it was a known problem that happens quite often with the Tesla Powerwalls. So basically, technical support knew the issue from the beginning, but they refused to take action and put me through the entire cycle. As a result my power bills just doubled, I lost time, and I was very frustrated. My advice: Tesla got too big and too many customers but didn't back up technicians. Go with the local solar company, and in case of a similar situation, you can resolve it faster.

What a joke Tesla is! We have solar panels on our house that need to be removed to reroof our house. We have called 6+ times. We started the process to have it done and they dropped our request unbeknownst to us. We were told it would take 2 weeks to get a response. After 3 weeks we called them. They said they’d call us back after a certain date- they never did. We called again- they couldn’t find our request. To then start it again- we’re told it’ll take 2-4 weeks from then. It’s now been 5 weeks and we called back. They have still yet to start the process. They make empty promises. No one follows through. No one takes their job or customers seriously. We’re now told it’ll take 6-8 weeks. (We originally were told 2.) No one calls us back. We asked for a supervisor and they said our case doesn’t warrant one. Such a joke of a company who has horrible customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Would give 0 stars if it allowed.

Wonderful, fast, and professional installation of a 14kW system and 1 Powerwall. Installation took 2 days, and they were super efficient. The order process was a breeze, too. I went from ordered to installed and fully powered on in 3 months. With charge on solar, I charge up my EV with free energy from the sun daily. So long, NV Energy!

We had Tesla solar panels and a storage battery installed with our new Arden build. We have enjoyed cost savings, and it is rewarding to know that we have a greenhouse and that Tesla is part of that. However, 8 years later, a function that connects the battery to the roof panels broke. I have been waiting 24 months, and it still has not been fixed. We are no longer enjoying the benefits of solar power. I have contacted Tesla and their nominated contractor multiple times to get it fixed, and they have not responded. After a huge effort from my husband and me, Tesla sent a 'part' to the contractor, and they arrived to 'fix' our issue. After 10 minutes, the contractor informed us that the part was 'wrong' and now we need to wait another 24 months (I assume) for another part to be sent and trialled. They left and I have not heard a word since. So, while I was impressed with initial set up, the after sales service is so poor I cannot recommend Tesla at all.

Had a leak in my roof, had to wait 4 months before they would come out and remove them so I could get the roof repaired, which caused a huge problem with my ceiling. SolarCity was a whole lot better than Tesla when they owned this company.

Tesla is just a joke. You as a customer is just a bouncing ball. They just push you around and don't help. Our first panel was with SolarCity, they got bought out by Tesla. Fast forward 15 years later we wanted to put 2nd system, then the problem started. First they push with project saying you will get deposit back and etc. Then we got project plans, ok. And saying since we have roof tiles, need backfill, per Tesla. I contacted contractor they provided, guess what 25K work! Will you do 30K solar system with 25K roof work?? So I told advisor we won't proceed. She started not returning texts nor emails. So I cancelled through app. 3 weeks later I emailed where Is deposit back? Email was template saying takes about a month. OK. 3 months went by. I was at Tesla doing service, I asked and reply was because we cancelled ourselves. I was told can reach out online.

I did reach out 3 emails, never heard back in a month. So I did online chat. First time 3 pm, I was told advisors are offline in that department, email said customer service works till 5 pm... Ok... 2 days alert I tried again, 2 times, as I got transferred to advisor and never heard back. I was told if you cancel in 5 business days you get deposit back, I wasn't told that. So I was told will connect to that department. 10 mins later, still no one in chat, got disconnected. Tries again, apologized for being disconnected, again waited 20 mins, still no one. Total opened 3 cases. Or Tesla you can keep deposit, hope that will make you happy. But as a business you lost trust and value. I am so done. And will never refer anyone. Your customer service sucks.

Our original installation was scheduled for 10/28/2025 (over a month of the day we call for installation), but Tesla canceled the same morning, notifying us by email. I had to reschedule myself, pushing the installation to 1/7/2026. When the crew finally arrived, they brought the wrong parts, meaning we now have to wait even longer for completion. The disorganization, lack of accountability, and repeated delays make this a horrible experience. Warning to future customers: Expect last-minute cancellations, long delays, and poor communication. WARNING: Tesla is notorious for fighting not to honor contract warranty. Tesla installed a residential solar panel system at my home in 2021 under a contract warranty that covers both hardware and workmanship defects. Recently, I discovered that the 2.5-inch plastic electrical conduit (PVC pipe) connected to my utility meter had detached from its wall brackets. Upon close inspection and photographic comparison, it became evident that Tesla's installation crew disturbed, removed, or displaced the existing conduit during installation of the solar system s metallic piping, leading to the damage and eventual failure of the mounting brackets.

Between October 27 and November 6, 2025, I communicated Tesla representatives, including John W. from Tesla Residential Energy Customer Support, Field Manager Andrew, and Supervisor Dylan. Despite providing clear photographic evidence including pre- and post-installation images showing that Tesla's work directly affected the existing electrical conduit Tesla has refused to assume responsibility or perform the repair under the contractual warranty.

Tesla claimed, without credible basis, that its installation did not affect the preexisting electrical conduit. Declined to release original installation photographs in their original format. Stated that I must pay an independent electrician to correct the damage. This matter constitutes a breach of contract, refusal to honor warranty obligations, and presents a potential safety hazard, as the damaged electrical conduit carries live wiring and poses a fire and electrical risk to my property.

We had our Tesla Solar panels and 5 Powerwall batteries installed in July 2024 and wasn’t fully functional until about 90 days after installation. Since installation we haven’t seen as significant a change in our electric bill as expected. It’s been very minimal considering the number of panels we have and Powerwall batteries we have. We have been trying to call, text - via app, and emailing Tesla to have a technician come out to assess proper installation. However, not only is it difficult to get a live-person to respond, but ‘when’ someone did respond via email – weeks later – we were told we’d be charged a $300 fee to have a technician come out. Despite how outrageous it is to have to pay such a fee for them to assess their own product and service, we nonetheless agreed to the fee. Since our response of agreement to the fee, we have not heard anything back from them.

It's been 16-months since our Tesla solar panels and 5-Powerwall batteries have been installed and again, not only have we not seen a change to our PG&E bill, we simply have not been able to get anybody from the company to answer our inquires. It’s been a nightmare dealing with Tesla and we just need a ‘patient’, ‘knowledgeable’ and ‘professional’ tech sent out to take his/her time to look over our installation and plan as our electric company (PG&E) stated we’d need to reach out to our solar company to have the issue resolved.

The panels have worked less than half the time we have been in the house, and when we have to get service, it takes several months for a technician to come to our house. The biggest credit we have ever received on our electric bill is $15. When I mention this to customer service, they say Tesla does not offer monetary relief to customers. Today, when I went to schedule service, the earliest date was 4 months from now! We had a different brand of panels on our previous house, and they were 1000% better!

I had my Tesla solar panels and Powerwall 2 Plus for over 3 years. Had no issues until this week when my Powerwall broke with an internal fault that failed. The notification and ordering of parts were seamless and was automatic through the app. However, when I called to schedule the repair the service person told me it would take a month to repair it. I was amazed that they don't have people or contractors to do this the following week. I explained that during this time I will not store any energy and will pull all power from the grid. Additionally, I told them I will have nothing for backup during an outage. She just told me to call another number for compensation.

This doesn't surprise me at all. During the process to install the solar panels and powerwall, it took literally a year from down payment to installation to get them installed. This sector of the Tesla company is lagging and they don't care about it. They have the best technology, but the worst customer service and long repair and installation times. So sad, because this sector of the business to rival the car part. Just take this in mind, if you are think of using Tesla as your solar panel and backup power company.

This has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I’m a disabled U.S. Army veteran, and I had a Tesla Powerwall system installed at my home. From the very beginning, the installation resulted in serious electrical issues, including a non-functional breaker and no power in one of my backyard outlets — a clear safety hazard. I contacted Tesla immediately and have sent over 30 emails over the course of six months trying to get this resolved. Despite multiple technician visits, nothing was fixed. When a technician finally did come out, he chose to install a damaged, unreliable outlet, even though I offered him a new outlet from my closet. He refused to use it. Later, it turned out that the outlet he installed wasn’t even working.

After months of back-and-forth, someone from Tesla’s Energy Resolutions Department reached out to try to fix the issue. However, by then I had already paid for the repair myself — in cash, because I couldn’t wait any longer with a hazard on my property. Because I didn’t have a formal receipt, Tesla refused to compensate me, even though their own technician had confirmed the issue was due to their original poor installation. I also made Tesla aware, in writing, that I live with a service-connected disability that affects memory (protected under the ADA), and I specifically requested reasonable accommodations. Tesla ignored this, continued to pursue an unjustified $300 charge, and showed zero regard for my situation or my rights.

This company has shown a total lack of professionalism, respect, and basic human decency throughout this entire process. No accountability. No empathy. No solutions. Just delays, dismissiveness, and blame-shifting. I strongly urge others to stay far away from Tesla Energy. If this is how they treat veterans and people with disabilities, it says a lot about their corporate values. This experience was not only disappointing — it was shameful.

I’ve experienced multiple system outages with my Tesla solar setup, and unfortunately, the customer support process has been extremely frustrating. The first issue took nearly five months to resolve. Despite numerous calls, Tesla refused to schedule an inverter replacement until their engineering team confirmed the roof panels weren’t the cause. When the roof crew eventually inspected the system, they found no issues with the panels and identified the inverter as the problem. However, because they failed to properly notate the account, Tesla continued to deny the inverter replacement. It took at least ten additional calls before a support agent finally uncovered the closed service ticket. Even then, the replacement appointment was scheduled months out.

When the inverter was eventually replaced, two Powerwalls were also found to be faulty—again, with the repair pushed out months later. During this downtime, my electricity bill exceeded $2,000 due to the non-functioning solar system. Now, a year later, I’m facing a new issue: another failed battery. Tesla scheduled a replacement 30 days out, only to cancel on the day of service. I received a message claiming the crew came by but couldn't complete the job—despite me being home the entire morning. Upon calling support, I learned the real issue was a missing part, and they had failed to notify me. If I had known support would be this unresponsive and disorganized, I would have gone with a different solar provider. I hope Tesla improves its communication and service logistics moving forward.

Tesla is the worst company I've ever dealt with period. Their customer service is nonexistent. You can't call, you have to send an email in and hope that the AI graces you with a chat. If you're lucky enough to get someone, they'll schedule you with an appoint for six weeks to two months out. Then the tech will show up an hour and a half after the 10-3 window they gave you (which forced you to take a full day off of work). The tech won't be able to actually do anything, just schedule another work order for two months later. Which they will double book and call you at 2PM (again, that 11-4 window) saying that they want to reschedule you for a month later.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Of course, they'll keep charging you for the panels the entire time, despite their company's lack of manpower, scheduling proficiency, and ability to perform any basic customer service. Pay a little more and go with a company that will hopefully be around and not get bought up by this behemoth. That was my mistake and if I could afford to just give back the panels to never deal with Tesla again, I would.

Tesla, however, either ignored or missed it and installed the panels, leading me to believe everything was fine.

Excessive Charges for Minimal Effort. When the issue surfaced, Tesla charged $300 for an inspector—who spent less than 20 minutes on-site. That’s more than most lawyers charge per hour, and the problem should’ve been caught pre-installation.

Refusal to Communicate & Unprofessionalism. Tesla wouldn’t even discuss the matter over the phone, instead demanding immediate payment. Their lack of accountability and disregard for customers was appalling.

Avoid Tesla Solar. Tesla Solar prioritizes profits over customers, refuses to take responsibility, and overcharges for its own mistakes. If you want reliable solar service, look elsewhere.

A solar project is not a simple undertaking. Often, and especially under the utility NEM3 rules in California, the project may not make sense financially. Lease or buy, buy with or without a battery back up, number of panels and panel placement are all important factors. Equally important is the professionalism and competence of the installers. We researched solar projects as to all of these issues and also set up a small working model to better understand these issues, spoke with many neighbors about these issues before seeking estimates from solar companies.

We got estimates from the three of largest companies including Tesla. One those companies has since filed for bankruptcy. Tesla requires a refundable $100 deposit to start the project while the others did not. While all of the sales contacts at the different companies were experienced, only the Tesla project advisor was able to answer all of my questions. As to pricing, the different companies were similar though Tesla had the lowest complete system price.

The entire process with Tesla was transparent as to cost, contract obligations and schedules. Keep in mind the local utility and building and safety codes permitting process is out of the control of Tesla. From the time the contact was signed to the system being operational was about three months. So if you are considering a solar project be sure to include Tesla, as we highly recommend Tesla as the choice for a solar project. Don’t let the political issues surrounding Tesla and its largest shareholder distract you from getting the best provider and equipment for a successful and professionally completed solar project.

Cody and his crew were fantastic! I also want to commend Steve, the technician. They took their work seriously when they arrived. What I appreciate the most is their punctuality, efficiency, and respectfulness. Cody always informs me about what to expect the next day, and he is very thorough in cleaning up after each shift. Thank you for the hard work and for being so respectful of my property. I would like to highlight that it has been very challenging for us to contact customer service when we had questions and needed clarification before our installation date. We tried to reach out to our sales/project advisor, but we were unable to get in touch with him. We initially expected that it would be easier to connect with him since he is our direct point of contact. Overall, our experience with the installation crew and technician was fantastic! They truly embodied the values of the company. Installation dates: 03/19/2025- 03/21/2025. Customers: April & Michael **.

Terrible accessibility to customer service. The phone numbers are non-functioning, divert the caller to some unrelated sales campaign, or an endless loop of irrelevant automated options that take the caller nowhere. The chat function on the app is a little better, but my service issue is still unresolved after months. Meanwhile my solar service is a half capacity because one of the inverters has been non-functional.

In desperation and frustration, I used the emergency option and spoke to a real human being who connected me with another real human being who tried to connect me with other human beings who at least discussed my issues with me. That was over a month ago and I am still waiting for resolution. The people who have communicated with me seem to be trying to address the problem, but supply problems or other issues have interfered. If this service level is indicative of Elon Musk's work for the Trump administration, he should be "Fired" like in The Apprentice.

The energy products are stellar. The solar panels and batteries perform as specified. Installation was swift and very efficient. Tesla Energy handled every phase of the install brilliantly. They honored my preferences for the location of the new power wall and contracted a company to dig a trench and install a conduit between the main structure and the location where the new batteries were installed. During the design and pre-install phase, my liaison, Kelsey, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Finding her contact info, however, was very difficult as it was buried inside the Tesla phone app, which is the only resource for contacting Tesla Energy and getting help. The app seems to favor Tesla car topics, making it difficult to find and get help from Tesla Energy. Navigating the app is difficult and counterintuitive, even as I have served as a knowledgeable IT professional for many years.

The phone app, however, is very good for monitoring energy production and usage, though it is rather complex and difficult to set up and understand. Again, the Tesla car topics seem to interfere on multiple levels with accessing energy topics. The solar panel and power wall system is performing very well, and as advertised. I particularly appreciate the crews who serviced the install and Kelsey, who answered all of my pre-install questions.

I recommend Tesla Energy as they are knowledgeable and competent. My three-star rating is driven mostly by accessibility issues with help for specific questions. I have a 15 year relationship with Tesla Energy since my first solar system install. Tesla Energy has maintained and even upgraded my systems over this time for lease and warranty provisions where they determined it was expedient.

The Tesla solar and Powerwall process was easy to understand and the communication was amazing. From the initial consultation to the final install, the Tesla App made it very easy. There was a text communication option available also if you had a question, and they answered back. It was easy to set a phone appt. If you needed to talk to somebody. There was no "sales pitch" ever. They even told me I did not need things when I suggested I needed another powerwall. Very refreshing to deal with such an organized company from top to bottom!!

Tesla has the worst costumer service I have ever encountered. I had a leak in my attic due to the solar panels that were installed by Solar City now Tesla. After months of waiting, I was finally able to get the panels removed and had a new roof installed. As suspected all the contact points were showing signs of water damage along with the two active water leaks that initiated the complaint. Tesla was given pictures of the inside and outside along with statements from two different roofing companies stating that the leaks were caused by the solar panels. They at first stated they were partially at fault but know have rescinded any offer to cover damages.

Horrific customer service, not to mention the lack thereof becomes costly in the long run. As others have mentioned. Summer 2024 I noticed a huge jump in my true up (Nem-1 contract) with PG&E in July. The opposite should be happening in July! Turns out the system was offline. I checked the old solar city box and sure enough I had red lights. The Tesla App did not notify me, nor did Tesla repair dept. (They have told me that they monitor the system.) No, they do not. It is difficult to speak to a person when troubleshooting the system. They do not have a repair department that is large enough to accommodate onsite troubleshooting. We reported this problem in late July/early August 2024. The first available appointment for an assessment Oct. 25th!

The tech said the panels are in fact shorting out on the roof. He went on to tell me that this type of panel is notorious for this exact problem. (He was an installer for several years before switching to the diagnostic dept. several years prior.) At any rate he put in a request for new panels in October. Our next appt. For an actual repair does not arrive until early Feb 2025! Needless to say, our system has been on and offline for 7 months now! This is unacceptable and the only thing I can do is wait and pay both Tesla & PG&E. BUYER BEWARE!

Be very cautious if you plan to sign an existing lease, new lease or purchase solar panels from Tesla. Tesla has so many loopholes that they include within their contracts that if you have any issues at all the contracts are written to avoid any liability in many different ways. Not to mention they will unapologetically treat you like it’s your problem. Please read, I would hate for this to happen to any other hardworking American.

Summary: I had to have my solar panels removed due to water leaks in my roof. The water leaks were cause by the holes that were drilled in the incorrect spots when the solar panels were originally installed back in 2012 by a company Called Solar City. Shortly after the installation, Tesla took over the lease and Solar City went out of business.

I bought my home in 2021 and inherited the existing lease for the Solar Panels. Two years later I discovered there was water leakage due to the roof holes that were created by Solar City’s installation job in 2012. I immediately called Tesla, they said there was nothing they could do. So I got a roofer to replace my roof shingles and repair all of the damage caused, I also got my insurance company to take care of all of the water damage and paint damage inside of my home. Then I asked Tesla for a quote and I was emailed a price for how much it would be to take off and how much it would be to have them put back on after the roof was done.

It took me about a year to save up all of my money. But after I had what I thought was enough I set up a time and date with Tesla to have my solar panels removed. I then scheduled my roof replacement appointment with my local roofer. I paid Tesla the amount requested to take the panels off - $2,596.86. Then I paid my roofer over $11,000 for my roof replacement. Then when I went to set up the date and time to have them reinstalled when they told me that it was going to be $7,455.50. And that the original quote that was shared with me a year prior was not valid, which was only set for $ 2,442.77 to have the panels reinstalled.

In addition to this very stressful news, I was also told that although my roof was done that Tesla could not reinstall the solar panels right away and that I would have to wait 5 months to get them reinstalled. I was also told that I still have to pay my lease payment for the panels, which is $231.69 a month, although I have not been able to use them. Meanwhile my electricity bill is around $500 a month. I was told by Tesla that I could hire a third party to reinstall the panels but that the third party company would be held liable for any accidental damages and if they did happen to damage it then my warranty would be voided.

I was told that If I hired a third party that would not sign the reinstallation waiver then my warranty would be voided and I would still have to pay for the lease until it was concluded at the 20 year termination date - about 7 years from now.. I tried to find a third party company that could help me. No one was willing to take the risk after reading Tesla’s third party waiver agreement.

After sending in multiple complaints and not hearing much back, I received an offer from Tesla to give me a “25% discount” from the original price of $7,455.50. This would mean that I still have to pay $5,591.63 + the amount it will cost to get the panels cleaned + the amount it will take to repair the damages done to my grass while the panels have been sitting for the last 5 months (which Tesla also told me that cannot come out and move) + my lease payments and outstanding electric bills.

I am a single mother, a newly retired Air Force member of 25 years and a 100% disabled veteran. Although I believe in taking responsibility for my own expenses and responsibilities, I do not agree with how Tesla has conducted business with me and I do not recommend this company to anyone! It is very clear that Tesla doesn’t have to care about its customers or the quality or lack of customer care provided.

I cannot speak for the product itself. I went through the initial process of a phone consultation and an initial design. Was asked to sign off on the design with the understanding that an in person site review was necessary and would likely result in changes. I made it very clear to sales guy that I had to have a site inspection before we left on a 2 week vacation.

Within 5 minutes of confirming design I received an email appointment for two days after we already leave the country. I immediately expressed this to sales guy and he said he would work on getting it rescheduled. He came back with a date after we returned from our trip. They say it could take 4 months to complete after the site inspection of which means the install could happen while we have already packed up and left town for our summer home. Furthermore, the purpose of installing the solar was to heat our pool. We don't need pool heat in May in Arizona. This was all crystal clear with Conner (sales guy), before I signed off on initial design.

Now that they cannot fulfill the site inspection and installation in the timeframe that I expressed needed to happen, they are now keeping my initial deposit and closed my account. I am in utter shock that Elon Musk would be affiliated with a company that treats its customers like this. I even expressed that I still wanted to do the $78k project in the fall when we returned to AZ for the winter. So, for a minimal deposit they just lost a $78k job in the fall and we were down to two EV's - Tesla or Mercedes. Guess which one we are purchasing - IT IS NOT A TESLA. So, now they have lost almost $200k in business because they lied and could not fulfill their promises by stealing my deposit. Shocking business decision, but glad it happened now and nothing after I bought their solar and EV.

Tesla took over my solar energy account from Solar City, who I purchased my solar system from. My Tesla solar panels did not produce any energy for four months over last summer. I had to call them multiple times to get service out to fix my controls/inverter. They charged me differing amounts over four months while my panels did not work? It has been a nightmare to talk to someone in billing and they refuse to provide a credit or reimburse me for services they did not provide. We will have to litigate to get the $760 back from them. No wonder Musk is going to be the first Trillionaire. His company bills whatever they please without providing services.

This has to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. I paid a lot of money for this system. I have had it a little over 3 years. Close to 2 years of that it has not worked at all or half functional. My current issue took 3 months to come out to see what issue is and now 4 months for a crew to come out and fix it. Prior issue they didn’t wire correctly in an area known to have snow, had to pay another 2000 for them to rewire and this time wire so snow sliding off panels doesn’t pull the wires. This ordeal took 8 months to get fixed. Do not use this company. Unfortunately I'm at their mercy. All I can do is tell everyone to avoid this company like the plague
