This is our second experience with this company. Very happy with everything they have done. We first did windows and now they just completed our new roof and gutters. We have really bad experiences with other companies in the past and Power made it so smooth and easy. We would highly recommend.
You need more employees like the two techs that just left my house. Both are very professional, knowledgeable, and they seem to care about their work. I recommend a leadership or management role for both of them within the company. They went above and beyond what they was here to fix, by simply explaining my system which was never done before. I had Power Home Solar convert my home to 98% offset. From start to finish it was an amazing experience. My salesman Jay was very informative, not pushy at all and helped me make the right decisions. My experience with Power Home Solar has been great. I had my solar installed three years ago. Starting with a roof which Power Home Solar installed. They did an excellent job in three days. It was bitter cold but the crew worked hard and everyone was always friendly. The solar install took three days. From answering my questions to working around my dogs the crew was outstanding. With the help of customer service I myself turned on my system which was exciting. During the wait time (I signed in September and got installed in January customer service was always there for me and if I got a recording they called back right away. This company takes care of its customers. Had only two minor problems with my system (connection problems) that the company took care of right away. Saving so much money with my system, I recommend solar to anyone. With ever rising cost of power it is a no brainer and Power Home Solar delivers.

I am glad I didn't write a review right away. The salesperson was great, and although the installation went longer than expected they got it done. Everything seemed fine. Then we had a power outage a few weeks ago due to wind storms. The battery came on and powered the protected loads just as expected and I was happy.
The next morning, everything shut down. The customer service team, Ivy ** and Tyrone **, couldn't have been nicer, they heard me out and assured me that everything would be taken care of and even put me in touch with the National Service Manager Alex **. He was sorry that nothing could be done until the power came back on. I trusted all of them but I'm not sure those are even real names as they cannot be found on the internet. The main issue was that they never registered our system when they installed it in September of 2020, a year ago. When I explained the setup to 'Alex' he said he wouldn't have done it that way which was not very reassuring at all.
Our power was out for FIVE days. We lost all of our food because of the system failure. I sent them photos and a cost estimate since Tyrone said they would reimburse us. It took over a week for them to come look at our system after the power was restored. That apparently is what ASAP means to Alex **. When the techs arrived they asked my wife why they were there. I left work and came home and they asked me the same thing. I called Alex confused. He got on the phone with them and they did some work. I had to return to work but at one point the tech had Alex on speakerphone and my wife heard Alex say "just figure something out, this guy is a real **". That's nice, I just want my $65,000 system to operate and I'm the **.
The system continued to fail to operate. I notified Alex of this on Thursday, September 2nd. He said he would have service setup. Saturday I reached back out to him. No response. This afternoon I reached back out. No response. Tonight again and he said that someone should have reached out to me but he didn't know what the holdup was. All the while, Tyrone in customer service has no longer responded to my emails. He told me via email on August 21st that he would have an update 'early next week'. I have never heard from him again.
Ivy ** reached out this past Saturday as a follow up to my original call during the blackout. I told her the situation and she called me immediately and asked me not to post any online reviews or take further action until Tuesday when she would definitely call me back. She was sorry and understood how I felt. I believed her but she never responded either.
I will now be entering into a legal battle with the company. Who knows what will happen. They will most likely post a canned response to this as they do to most negative reviews that are posted. I should have done more homework. If I can save one customer the disappointment of dealing with this company and feeling as if they were completely defrauded, I hope this review will do that. They lie, they pretend to be helpful, but they walk away and you are left with nothing. Fortunately I have the resources to take them on. I'll post an update soon. Stay far away, honestly. I have never once taken the time to go online and write a negative review. Ever. This was too much to just stand on the sideline and watch another family get ripped off by these guys.

Your workers that been to the house are great. Your company to fix or find out the problem 20 months is ridiculous. Hopefully it's fixed this time and to get the owner or higher ups to address the problem - what a joke.
I signed a contract for a roof mounted system back in December of 2020, after verifying with the salesperson that I wouldn’t be charged anything if the system couldn’t be installed for some unforeseen reason. Shortly thereafter they said my roof wouldn't support a system so they suggested a ground mount system, I agreed and signed a contract for a specific location in my yard (they drew a diagram and I agreed to it). Fast forward 7 months and I still don't have a system, I called the county and asked for the status of the permits and they said they were denied due to set back requirements.
I then called Powerhome solar to advise them of this and they said they were drawing up plans for a different location in my yard (without first consulting with me). I said I don't want it anywhere else in my yard and that I'd like to terminate the contract due to the contract I signed being unable to be fulfilled due to the setback requirements. I now received a letter stating that I owe them 8 grand for the work they've done and that they'll put a lien on my house if I don't pay. I'm a disabled veteran and cannot afford this, do not sign a contract with this company, they force you to put the system anywhere on your property or put a lien and induce foreclosure if you don't!
With the exception of the most recent installers Nick and Jared the first crew was horrible. They were urinating in my yard in front of my wife and children, made extra holes in my roof, left cigarettes all over my yard, burned my grass with the hot solar panels, cussing, arguing, and screaming at each other to the point that my neighbors were disturbed. The conduit had to be rerun by a second crew leaving holes in the side of my home. You have been to my home several times. The last visit Nick and Jared cleaned out my gutters and under the panels from all of the tools, parts, and equipment left behind that were under the panels and clogging my gutters. They discovered that two panels were not connected. This has been the worst experience ever.
Technician was very knowledgeable and addressed the issue quickly. She also provided explanation what was root cause of the issue. Someone did repair few days ago and left main breaker off, causing it to be without power to critical systems for 2 days. We are glad tech was able to come in today to correct the issue.
So sick of PHS and their blow it off attitude. We had to make so many phone calls to get our system fixed. I would never recommend PHS to anyone. Look on my account for all the ** I went thru to get PHS to do their job, if you keep notes, haha! You only allow positive post on your social media, so I feel you're trying to hide how bad you treat those that have a current system. Your service person was great but all the people that bounced me around need trained. I feel your management are cowards that hide from customers.
The drywaller did the best he could but the finish job looks terrible! The original construction crew left a huge mess for me to clean up including dangerous copper wire on the ground outside and wasn’t trained on finishing work.
The fellows that did the work were awesome and did great work. They were much better than any of the other guys that came out to try to fix the problem. Can't wait for inspection so we can turn it on.
I signed a contract to have PowerHome install a system that included panels and battery backup. The system installed 30 panels to provide a 58% reduction of my average usage of 1500 kWh. That equates to an average of 870 kWh/month. They installed the system last fall in Aug that reduced the amount of electricity consumed in August and produced for its first full billing cycle from September into October. Each of those months had approximately $100 lower electric bills which also had one of my lowest utility bills that led me to believe I had made the right decision to install the system. Since then the results have not met my expectations.
Starting in October, my usage had gone back to about the same levels of usage before installing the system, 1300-1750 kWh/month. I finally called customer support in March to share my concern about the lack of results. I called again in April to report an error on the REbus of the Generac inverter. A technician came and identified the source of the fault. Additionally, the technician said the inverter only saw 14 of 30 panels but did nothing to diagnose the panels themselves. The identified fault was with the battery management unit (BMU) and needed to order the part. Another technician came to install the BMU and finally diagnosed the panels and found two bad panels. The technician didn't have any panels to replace the faulty panels.
Another technician will come later this week (end of June) to replace them. That makes at least three months that the system hasn't worked properly from when I made the first call. In the last two weeks, I shared my utility bills and a spreadsheet identifying the exact savings over the previous year's usage. I have experienced less than $100 savings and have a payment due each month over twice the savings. As part of sharing the bills for analysis, I asked how PowerHome will compensate me for the poor results, especially for the lost production because of the faulty components.
As of today, I had to call again to talk to the same representative that I talked to two weeks ago. I tried several times over the two weeks and told I would get a call from the representative that didn't happen. The answer I received today was that they still hadn't finalized the offer. I CANNOT recommend PowerHome to anyone no matter how large the referral bonus they want to provide. PowerHome has a tag line of "Own your power". My power owns me because it has cost me SIGNIFICANTLY more each month now than before installing the system. I wish I had chosen another provider than PowerHome. I definitely recommend that you do based on my experience.

Once the company gets your money. The only people you are able to contact are the sales and scheduling agents. I have been trying for over a week for someone to come out and fix my system. Started noticing less power generation at first. Now the ethernet connection to monitor the system has stopped working. I have yet to receive a response from the company to fix the issues.

The solar panels were installed in August 2020 and we have not seen a decrease in our power bill. And we are paying a &72,000.00 loan for this privilege. Their system was installed incorrectly. I have tried repeatedly to get them to remove the panels and get no response.
