I have been a loyal Travelpro consumer for years. I do a lot of traveling and their products hold up pretty well. I was time to purchase a new roller board so I went directly to Travelpro had it delivered. Went to use it the first time and the front pocket zip was broken on arrival before I even used it. Have had to contact Travelpro 3 time before I even got any type of response. Their response has a lot to be desired. It was up to me to get their defect product to a repair place to determine if it should be replace. Closest one is 60 mile away. Replied back say I ordered it online they need to make arrangements. Still haven't gotten any communication back. While their product usually is good their service is not. Would not recommend going through them again.
Purchased a MAXLITE 5 Hardside Spinner from the website. In a fully locked position there is a gap of almost an inch and a half in between the zip. Looks like a design flaw because of the shape of the zip. The company customer service is the worst I have seen--in spite of sending photos, they did not really help. Would not suggest buying their product.
On my very first trip with this piece of luggage it developed a rip about 1 inch long. I felt the material and it is very thin and not very durable, obviously. I doubt that they will stand behind their warranty for the rip. I spoke to the airline rep and they won’t cover the damage either. If it’s in your budget, I would go with a Briggs and Riley. I understand they have an outstanding warranty and no questions asked policy.
One trip and the suitcase came off the carousel with the Travelpro medallion missing leaving 4 holes. I called Customer Service and was advised my only option was to take it to an authorized dealer 3 hours away. I called the shop many times and asked if he would send the part and I would try to get it applied locally. He said he would see if he could get the part and call me back. Never heard from him again. Believe their warranty is useless.
I am astounded at the incompetence of their customer service department. I called several days ago regarding a recent purchase. The customer service representative, Rosemarie, after multiple tries could not find my order even though I repeated the order number multiple times. She put me on hold for LONG periods of time. She then "found" the order and sent my request to a different department and said I would hear back from them shortly.
After two days I called back because I heard nothing. I spoke with another customer service representative who also put me on hold for a long period of time, then came back on to say she was transferring me. She transferred me back to Rosemarie. She again struggled to find my order - repeating the order number back to me at least 5 times (no exaggeration here!). She again put me on hold for a LONG period of time. When she still could not find the information, I asked to speak to her supervisor. I was put on hold for another LONG period of time, eventually being put through to a voicemail of a person who spoke her name so quickly on the message I was unable to understand her name. I left my name and phone number - repeating both twice. Never heard back from this person.
I called to speak to the CEO, Kim Ballis, but was told she was out. I asked to speak to her secretary and was put on hold for a ridiculous amount of time. I finally hung up. What a joke of a company! I am returning my purchase and will for sure get a full refund. Thanks to my credit card company policy - the jokes on them - LOL! I will now purchase a Briggs & Riley and will never buy another TravelPro again! I am a Million-Miler on Delta Airlines and will be sure to tell everyone I know about this horrible experience! I rated TravelPro one star because they did not give me the option for zero stars!

TravelPro products enjoy a reputation for design, but don't expect much from the "Worry Free" or "Lifetime" warranties. In our experience, the company will seek every way to avoid repair or replacement under the warranty. Even when defective workmanship or materials are evident, the TravelPro expects customers to pay for shipping costs, deal with reluctant third-party repair centers, and wait up to two months for repair. WE WILL NOT BUY TRAVELPRO AGAIN.
Purchased my crew 9 luggage December 2015 for travel purposes. After a recent trip I noticed that the luggage was cracking on the corner. I called Travelpro at 800–741- 7471 and spoke with their customer service representative. I had a copy of the original Crew 9 warranty all my original sales document along with their promotional materials that was attached the original piece of luggage. The customer service representative said that their hard sided luggage was not warranty against airline damages. She proceeded to say that I should call the airline and complain to them. I asked the representative why on our my brochure and sales document it set for airline travels and that they would not cover it under their lifetime warranty. She proceeded also again say that they do not cover damages such as this from airlines or from misuse. She said there is nothing that they could do about it.
I just purchased as gifts for Christmas two new pieces of Travelpro luggage for my wife and now planning to return them before we use them. If they’re going to promote their product as the choice of flight crews and Frank at travelers maybe they should start packing up their products. I paid over $150 for this piece a Crew 9 luggage that was damaged and I guess it’s a lesson learned not to believe what is printed or published about products.
I have a Travelpro carry on model WalkAbout Lite 4 I’ve enjoyed for 4 years. I do light traveling about 3-4 times a year. Two of the 360* wheels began to freeze up. The bag itself is in perfect condition. I took it to a luggage repair place who informed me Travelpro doesn’t make or have replacement wheels for this. It supposedly has the vaunted Lifetime Warranty according to the retailer where I purchased it. I called Travelpro customer service and was informed it does not have a lifetime warranty and they have no replacement wheels. When I questioned the warranty I was informed only one model has a decent warranty time and I should have done my research before purchasing which is kinda absurd. Anyway I suggest buying cheap luggage and not Travelpro.
NEVER BUY TRAVELPRO LUGGAGE. Suitcase handle broke while boarding return flight causing embarrassing hold up in the plane aisle. Called customer service re: warranty and was told to bring it to warranty repair center (45 min. away). There I was told that the handle is not covered under warranty despite what Travelpro told me. Called and was told to send them the bag. UPS to Boca Raton was $60+ so I emailed and requested they just send me the replacement handle. Customer Service asked to confirm my address. When I didn’t hear anything a month later I emailed and was told “Too late. Repair center closed for good so no repairs/parts could be made”. Even copied CEO and no response to my complaints of lies, misleading response and stalling (Feb to June). Never buy Travelpro luggage. They don’t value customer loyalty.
DO NOT BUY A TRAVELPRO BAG! The repair service is a sham. I have a Travelpro bag I bought 6 years ago. Three years in, the handle broke. I managed to jury-rig a fix. Then a couple of years later, the handle came off completely. I contacted Travelpro and they told me to take it to one of their authorized repair shops and they would open a ticket to determine if it was under warranty. None of that ever happened. The repair guy charged me $50 up front and never even contacted Travelpro. When I contacted Travelpro, they told me to take a hike. Will NEVER buy a bag from this utterly atrocious company again.
Ordered 2 pieces of luggage on May 29th for a trip on June 6th. The ordered time was well within the 3 to 5 day shipping. I made several calls on the May 30th, May 31st, June 1st and June 4th because both packages didn’t even provide any info of being shipped. One of my pieces came in Saturday June 2nd via FedEx. FedEx told me via phone on June 4th that they did not have my other package. I spoke with 2 reps today and was told they are not sure and will not know anything until the tomorrow 5th, which is the day I needed my luggage. I was told they would not refund my money until received but aren’t even sure if it’s left their warehouse.
As of right now, I’ve paid for something I won’t receive in time. What I really don’t understand is that Travelpro has had plenty of time to fix my issue but kept reassuring me it had been shipped on May 31st and ignoring the fact that my order status still said at warehouse. I’ve now gotta go purchase luggage last minute and cannot even get my money back on the luggage not received. Please beware of this company! I should have know something was up when 3 days had gone by without any order status change much less an actual tracking number.
Purchased a TravelPro ProGrip suitcase on 4/4/2018 from TJ Maxx for a trip to Europe. On 5/28/2018 while pulling the suitcase from train station in Exeter, UK, both wheels disintegrated. I also had with me a Samsonite suitcase that was about 5 years old. The wheels in it were in perfect condition. On 5/30/2018 after returning from Europe I called TravelPro to request a refund. Spoke with a representative named Nila. She informed me that TravelPro would not refund the price of the suitcase but only replace the wheels if I would transport the suitcase to a service location. She suggested that I return the suitcase to TJ Maxx for a refund since TravelPro would not provide a refund. I intend to do that, but will never buy a TravelPro product again. Very poor quality, refund policy and customer service.
I purchased a Travelpro luggage 2 days before my trip and chose the overnight delivery option. I emailed Travelpro immediately after placing the order to please put a rush on it and try to get the order out the same day. A day goes by with no response, so I email in again stating, "Please cancel my order." Days go by with still no response!! Not only did I not have a luggage for my trip I had to pay an additional $250 to Jetblue to change my flight and purchase another luggage. I finally received my luggage which was useless and when I go to check the status of my order it shows warehouse processing. I will be leaving negative reviews all over social media, Better Business Bureau, and Facebook showing the type of customer service this company has.
Travelpro looks great and I really like the design and concept of the luggage. It's great to see the materials they used for the product, which are very good quality materials. I'm a big fan and it is my favorite luggage brand. Top of the class.
This luggage that I have now is more upscale, with more looks and spacious room to put my things. I absolutely love Travelpro compared to the previous luggage that I owned. I like its different compartments, colors, the inside material that it's made of, the branded logo on front of the luggage, and much, much more. I also love the style difference and the eye-catching look. Everything is just the way that I like it.
It's good for short weekend trips. The design in my bag is super cute and I consistently get complimented on it. However, it doesn't hold a lot of things in general. The size is good but I can only use it for short overnights. Also, there aren't any individual or outside compartments which is extremely inconvenient for me. I like my Nike duffel bag way more than it. It is simple and black with a swoosh on it but it has outside zipper compartments and an inside compartment. The size of my Nike bag is also way better for the price.
Travelpro luggage has an awesome hard shell on the exterior that keeps my items safe and uncrushed no matter how rough they are handled. I really enjoy the easy to clean fabric on the interior as well. But I am not a huge fan of the Travelpro wheels. Sometimes they stick or have issues where they get caught up on small items like a rock or a piece of trash. The price of Travelpro luggage is much higher than my usual brand but it is also much higher quality so it does go to show that you get what you pay for.
They have great pieces that have different storage options. TravelPro is a really great luggage company to use if you travel a lot. The difference between them and different other brands is their luggage is always sturdy and high-quality. I've been using their luggage for years and it always last me a long time. You don't have to worry about it breaking or falling apart.
The zippers run smoothly after several years of use. These bags are trouble free. As a business traveler that flies every week, this is a priority for me. The strength of the fabric and quality of the moving parts were second to none. I love the platinum color and the fact that it is light weight. My Travelpro luggage is wonderful and we recently purchased a second set because it is so well made. I would love a lifetime guarantee though that replaces any bag purchased that becomes damaged. Also when I purchased the first set there weren't any small accessories like a travel wallet or passport holder available. But compared to my Tumi pieces, the Travelpro has been much more hardy. The extendable handle used to pull the bags are much sturdier on the Travelpro. The platinum color hides dust much better than black Tumi. I love my Travelpro!
The Travelpro is a bit more expensive than my previous luggage but it is of higher quality and therefore a better value. It is light, durable and very roomy. You can carry more clothes which are held in place well with strong inner straps. Its polyester fabric is also stain free, waterproof and more durable and this makes it last longer. I also like the four wheels spinner system as it glides smoothly. Its top, side and bottom handles are great. They are stronger and can be used at specific times. However, if you use the side handles to pick up the luggage, the weight of the bag causes a deformity in the side panel. Though the handle seems to be securely fastened to the bag, it might cause tear later. It might be too large if you travel with it in some public transportation and this might be very inconvenient.
I love this brand because of the simple fact that its products for luggage are spacious and there are extra pockets inside the big luggage compartment to put my unmentionables and other types of necessities. It's not too bulky looking on the outside and it's extremely durable and material are fancy looking like high class luggage. The pricing is high but great product overall.
It has good space, good storage for clothes, shoes, the price is affordable and quality. It's durable and it has good textures and beautiful roller. It's lucrative, unique, and very beautiful. It stands out and the color is amazing. However I will like an improvement in the spaces for laptop, tablet, cellphone charger, accessories for my electronics. Also automatic lock.
One I had was poor quality and fell apart quickly. I wouldn't recommend it and this brand unless I just got a bad one or something. But definitely needed better spacing inside little more pockets inside. I wasn't happy with the spacing inside at all. This is the only brand that I have purchased and wasn't happy with any of it but the color. It is the only thing I liked about it. But I would have rather had a good quality one on a color I didn't like than to have one with a color I liked and no good quality at all.
The luggage I recently got has a nice neutral color and seems well made. A lot better than my older luggage. I can organize my things without them becoming messy in the luggage. It is also light unlike my last luggage set. My older luggage was pricey and didn't last as long as the one I have now. My other luggage started falling apart after only a couple of months of usage. I would possibly like luggage to be a little bigger and for the zippers to be slightly bigger and maybe add a strap for smaller luggage and a separate compartment to keep some of my snacks cool.
I like that Travelpro is easy to carry and lightweight but still able to protect the luggage. I like the black color and came in either cool options. I wish there some cool patterns though like marble or others that I have seen on other brands. It would be cute and nice for me to have. I would make it more stylish looking and perhaps a cheaper price point because this was a little more expensive than other brands. Also, there is roughly the same amount of storage from this brand than other brands. Overall equal to other brands. Not too good but at the same time not too great. But overall, I like this brand better than others that I have tried.
I picked the luggage because of the color: it was bright neon green and green is my favorite color. The color on the luggage is also so unique that it would be difficult to get lost. I am satisfied with my purchase.
I like this luggage a lot. It can fit all of my clothes, books, toiletries, and other supplies. It's also very easy to pack, and easy to carry around. I like having that. It's more compact, it works well, and it keeps everything safe and dry. My other luggage was more unwieldy and did not quite work as well. However I don't quite like the color, and the design. It's not an extremely pretty luggage. Then again, it's not supposed to be pretty. I wish it also had a specific place to put my cellphone.
